Angela was my hair and makeup artist for my wedding. We had a morning ceremony which meant hair and makeup had to start at 7:00 AM. Angela arrived promptly at 7:00 AM. We discussed what I was looking for and my hair and makeup looked perfect! She did a wonderful job and I would recommend using Angela.

Loretta is seriously a goddess maven of make-up. I got married just over a year ago and my mother-in-law still gushes about how beautiful I looked that day because of Loretta's work. She and her assistant arrived on time and worked in a punctual fashion (not the case with some make-up teams, I have heard). She also has a calm and approachable vibe and was very easy to get along with, which I realized was actually pretty important for the day of since I was pretty nervous and distracted. I 100% recommend them.

Loretta and Angela did a fantastic job with the hair and makeup for my wedding. I can honestly say that I have never looked more beautiful (and the same is true for my mom and aunt, who also had their makeup done). They were both so sweet, and made me feel totally confident that I would look fantastic, but what was even more important was that they respected how each woman wanted to look. I wanted to look like "the best version of myself"- a bit more polished and glam than normal, but still natural. My mom wanted to be a bit more glam, and my aunt wanted only very light makeup and only certain elements. Embellir perfectly understood what each of us was going for, and executed it perfectly. Loretta even agreed to do my hair on 2 days' notice, after my long-time hair stylist cancelled on short notice! They made me look exactly how I wanted and really did make me look like the best version of myself. I could not have been more pleased with my choice.

Embellir Artistry was AMAZING to work with for both my engagement shoot and my wedding. Angela did my makeup for the engagement shoot, and then for the wedding Raisa did my hair and Marika did the makeup for myself, my mom, and my three sisters (bridesmaids). I cannot say enough good things about all three of them. They were consistently prompt and professional, and incorporated each person's style and individual concerns (sensitive skin, etc.) into their work. In addition, I made some major changes to what I wanted for my makeup from the trial to the actual wedding day, and Marika incorporated the changes flawlessly. Kelly on the administrative side of things is also very responsive and easy to work with. Myself and my bridesmaids felt and looked beautiful, and the whole Embellir Team really contributed to what was the perfect, perfect day. In addition, their prices were amazing for the quality of the hair/makeup in comparison to other quotes I received. I've already recommended them to my best friend for her upcoming wedding, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else. Thanks, Embellir!!!! <3

Embellir Artistry did a fantastic job on my hair/makeup the day of my wedding. They also did a great job for my maid of honor and mom. I wanted a WOW look and Angela hooked it up I looked beautiful and I felt amazing. Another great thing is that they traveled to my home which made things less stressful the morning of my wedding. Angela and her team were fantastic. My family, friends, and I are all pretty laid back about our make-up and she struck the perfect balance of making us beautiful and camera-ready, but not over-doing it so we were uncomfortable with any cakey foundation or cumbersome eyelash extensions on that hot summer day :) Angela was also helpful in doing 2 different trial runs for me, and using silicone eye cream to keep the fine lines limited. I felt like the best version of myself and couldn't have been happier!

Loree is an amazingly talented hair and markup artist. She executed exactly what I had expected - my makeup was defined and radiant but light. The foundation spray is a must for a glow that will make you stand out all day. My hair was so detailed and beautiful and held up over 20 hours from early morning through the after party. She's the sweetest most responsive beautician I know. Loree is the one to trust to make you gorgeous on any special occasion.

I found this vendor after having a no show from another vendor. But I think this was a blessing in disguise because their team was great. Loretta came on time and she showed up! She had a large selection of makeup and during the trial applied airbrush. The trial was included in the package I selected. She was very friendly and made me feel at ease. She tried two different hair styles on me and even a third so I could go out that night for my birthday.

The day of, I decided to try a new makeup style and she pulled it off without a hitch. She applied my hair and eyelash extensions seamlessly. She also brought an assistant with her as well.

I came across Embellir Artistry through a Google search and read good reviews about them, so I took a chance and booked them for my wedding. I worked with Angela and she was professional, prompt and efficient. We did the trial a few months prior to the wedding and I had a couple of changes I wanted her to make for the wedding day and she remembered to incorporate them on the day. I rarely, if ever, wear make-up, and she did a great job at making me look and feel natural. And when you email Embellir, they are pretty quick to respond and they were easy to work with. I would recommend Angela to future brides.

I could not be happier with Loretta, Pam, and team! I hired Embellir to do our hair and makeup for my wedding (10 ladies total).They executed what we wanted flawlessly and were very friendly and personable as well. They arrived on time at the hotel and began working right away. The makeup was right on point and the hair was gorgeous. Loretta was flexible and willing to work with the client and it showed when 2 weeks before the wedding 1 out of the 3 artists had a baby and couldn't do my wedding anymore. Angela and Loretta did a great job with the hair and make-up for my wedding! It was a slightly challenging task, as I never wear make-up normally, so I wanted to look like myself, and natural, but still have wedding make-up. Similar story with the rest of the wedding party / family. But they rose to the challenge! On the day of the wedding, they arrived promptly on time and made sure to keep everyone on schedule. I had gotten some flowers for my hair but wasn't entirely sure if or how I wanted to use them, and they somehow incorporated them into the hairstyle in a way that was simple, yet breathtaking. When my now-husband saw me for the first time for my first look, he was literally blown away. I have never felt so beautiful in my life! We had asked Angela to stay and do touch-ups - a decision we had made somewhat at the last minute, only shortly before the wedding, but she happily accommodated us. Not only that, but when we fell behind schedule and needed her to stay into the evening a bit later than we had anticipated, she did so cheerfully without complaint or expectation of payment (although of course we tipped her generously for the inconvenience). In short, if you want to look your best and work with amazing, professional people, you can't go wrong with Embellir!

Angela did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. I actually changed my hairstyle after my trial and before my wedding and just trusted she would make it work with my face shape. She did it perfectly and was so honest about what would look good on me. Brides, listen to the professionals! Just because hair looks good on someone else, it has to be adjusted to work with your face shape.

My hair and makeup stayed all day, even though it rained on our wedding day. The hair held so well, I actually slept in it overnight since we had a 5am flight following our wedding. Even after an 8-hour flight, it still held so well it took 30 minutes and lots of conditioner to take out.

Angela also did two of my bridesmaids and the other stylist did three of my other bridesmaids (I'm sorry I don't remember her name!). They all did a great job and everyone's hair held all day despite the rain, with the help of lots of hairspray. I can't speak to the other makeup artists' makeup skills, but I highly recommend Embellir Artistry.

I found Embellir Artistry through Lotus Bridal, which is where I bought my dress from. I bought the bridal package which included my hair and make up, two other people's hair and make up, and a trial for me. I also added on airbrush and clip in extensions. My artist was Loretta. She was great, very friendly, and made me look prettier. =) She also made my mom and sister look gorgeous too! I highly recommend this place for hair and makeup!

Angel and her assistant did a great job on hair and makeup for my wedding. They were professional and timely and left the bridal party looking amazing. Also she traveled to our wedding site in the Hudson Valley and did everything on-site which was so convenient for us. I told the girls they could do their hair however they wanted. Many came with photos for Angela and they were all very impressed that she was able to do all the different styles they requested, and do each one perfectly. In fact, many of them actually said to me that she was the best artist they had ever had (they had been in many other weddings). Both on the trial day and the actual wedding day, I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror! I am not normally a makeup person and I don't even bother with a hair dryer, but she made me look amazing!

Angela was amazing! I did two trials with Angela and I loved how she made me look. On the day of, Angela showed up 10 minutes early with two assistants to help me, my two bridesmaids, and my two flower girls get ready. I was so incredibly happy with the hair and make up. I still looked like myself - only much better than normal. :) The make up stayed on all night and my hair stayed in place through pictures in the snow and the entire party. Angela had prepared a little emergency make up kit for the wedding - Qtips, extra lipstick, etc - but I didn't need any of it. I felt beautiful - thank you Angela!

I love Embellir!! Angela was my artist for my wedding day, I also used her for my engagement photo shoot.

I asked for a soft smoky eye look for my engagement shoot, Angela suggested do a little heavier on the false lashes, at first I was very iffy but then I was soooo happy that I listened to her professional opinion, the pictures came out very beautiful.

On my wedding day, I just wanted a natural radiant look and she also did a great job on that. All my guests couldn't stop complimenting how beautiful I was.

I wish I can hire her to make me up everyday!

Loretta was such a pleasure to work with. She made the makeup and hair process super easy for my wedding, and I am not just talking about my actual application. Loretta did the hair and makeup for my sister's wedding and we couldn't have been happier. She arrived on time, really listened to what we wanted, and made it look better than we could have hoped. She has a ton of experience so when I was worried my eye shadow looked too dark, she suggested taking a photo with and without flash to see what it would look like in photos (vs in the direct sunlight of a bridal suite). She was completely correct and I kept the eye shadow. Loretta was extremely patient, kind, and talented - a very safe pair of hands for anyone's wedding day!

I used Loretta from Embellir for my engagement shoot. She did an AMAZING job on my hair and makeup. I got exactly what I asked for (Kim Kardashian look, yes, i know....) without looking like a drag queen. I have asked for this look before from being a bridesmaid at another wedding and that make up artist made me look like a drag queen.

I really liked that Loretta asked me to show her what my usual make up looks like. I guess this way she has an idea how I normally look. I had so much fun and it seemed more like a makeup party because not only was she styling me, but she was also giving me BEAUTY TIPS! She showed me what products works well with me and what didn't. I would recommend Embellir Artistry to all brides. They were extremely professional and arrived on-time (6AM) on the day of our wedding. The trial makeup / hairstyle service they offered were helpful in helping me narrow down 'the' look for the final day. My make-up/hair didn't required any touch-up and stay intact the entire day!

Loretta and her team did the hair and makeup the day of my wedding for myself, my 6 bridesmaids/maids of honor, my mother, and my mother-in-law. They arrived promptly, set up quickly in my hotel room, understood my vision, and were able to put my concept together perfectly! Each of my bridesmaids/maids of honor had different styles, but all incorporated a braid in their hair, which brought it all together! Loretta also waited after my ceremony to do makeup touch-ups and redid my hair for the reception, which came out gorgeous! I first booked Loretta for a trial on the day of my engagement shoot. I wanted a dramatic look for my engagement photos but didn't have any specific requirements as I do not use a lot of makeup on a daily basis. She gave me some great suggestions and I was extremely happy with the end result. She accentuated my eyes but the makeup still looked natural.

When I booked Loretta to do my hair and makeup for my wedding banquet, I wanted a completely different look from my engagement shoot. I wanted a more natural look that would coordinate with my 3 dresses. She listened to my requests and did an amazing job on my makeup. I wanted to use fake eyelashes and Loretta was extremely patient with the application. I have sensitive eyes and my eyes kept tearing which made my makeup run. She applied the eyelashes and also re-touched my makeup after the application. I'm so glad I was able to use the eyelashes as I loved my final look!

I emailed Loretta pictures of what I wanted for my hair and she created a style for me that was more flattering than the pictures. My main concern was that my hair be off my neck so I would not be sweating into my updo. She definitely made that work and the updo did not get loose even after several hours of dancing.

I highly recommend Loretta from Embellir to any bride or to anyone who just wants to look great for a special occasion!

I was recently married on Febraury 24, 2012, and was extremely fortunate to have hired Angela and Loretta from Embellir Artistry. They did an amazing job on my bridesmaids, and our mother's. Angela worked on me, and I was more than pleased with my hair and makeup! My hair, and my makeup looked perfect! I received many compliments through out the night! Angela went above and beyond her role as my make-up and hair artist. She met me to give me my makeup trial, not only once, but twice because I was not happy with my first choice of hairstyles I had chosen. Even after the second trial I still was not happy, and sent her more pictures of different styles I wanted. Through it all she never expressed or showed any signs of annoyance. She was patient, and worked with me until I was satisfied. She really is wonderful, and I highly recommend Angela and Loretta for any event and guarantee you will be overly satisfied with her service. Best wishes and happiness to all.

I had such a wonderful experience with Angela- I had some ideas for my hair and make up but on some things I was totally confused. She helped create the perfect look for my wedding- I was happy with the trail but her work really blew me away on my wedding day. She is a total sweetheart and gifted artist. Just because I was changing hotel rooms to my bridal suite, we had to start a little later and Angela and Loretta did a fantastic job and helped keep us focused and on time while being totally sweet and fun. They both did amazing work on me and my girls. Angela even helped me lace up the corset of my wedding gown!!

Loretta from Embellir Artistry was a pleasure to work with. She is professional , friendly and efficient.
She arrived at my house right on time for my make up and hairdo.
She listens to my needs and is very patient to make changes according to my liking.

I first met Angela and her team at my friends wedding. She did an excellent job on all of the bridesmaids and the bride. I continued to book angela for all future events that i had attended and also booked her for my own wedding. I had a traditional pakistani/indian wedding and Angela did an amazing job to make me a beautiful bride. I cannot thank her enough for the effort she put into my wedding day. Loretta came to do my wedding make up and hair at my hotel. She arrived promptly and had clearly paid attention to the emails I had sent with ideas about my style. She was professional but also friendly and chatted easily with myself and my husband. She kept an eye on the time and was finished and tidied up by the agreed hour. My make up felt light and stayed on flawlessly all day and night. I loved my little bag of tricks to touch up my lipstick and re secure my hair but never needed to use it!

I was recently a bridesmaid at my cousin's wedding where Loretta and Angela came to help us with our hair and make-up. They worked at a great pace but at the same time keep things comfortable for everyone.

I didn't know how I wanted to do my hair or make-up except that I knew I wanted to use red lipsick. Loretta and Angela were so helpful be giving me suggestions on how to do my hair and make-up so that it would complement the red lipstick and the look came out great.

Loretta also gave us tips on how to touch up the bride during the day as well as tips on how to avoid messing up our eye make-up if and when we felt the urge to shed a tear during the day and it worked!

Embellir Artistry was absolutely amazing! Loretta and Angela showed up on time and were set up in a flash, and ready to get started on me and my girls! They were so sweet, fast, efficient, and their work AMAZING! I had a hair & make-up trial with Loretta which I loved, but the day of look just blew me away! My make-up and hair lasted the entire day and I received so many compliments!
Loretta was always so patient answerig all of my questions and responded to all of my emails promptly.

Angela is great. Unlike some make-up artist who always assume they know better, she will listen to you and what you want. She arrived exactly on time which is so important because some of my vendors didn't. I told her my schedule and I felt they adhered to it perfectly - very important on strict timeline of the wedding day. Angela even came to my house for a trial and brought some hair accessories which I liked so much and she agreed to sell them to me for an unbelievably cheap price. Overall, would recommend to all my friends getting married.

I had such a great experience with Embellir Artistry!

There were some last minute changes to my schedule and they were able to accommodate to it without giving me a hard time. Within the time frame we had, they were able to get me and my 6 bridesmaids ready and beautiful.

Even though there were a total of 7 of us to work on, they did not rush through any of our make up or hair which we truly appreciated. They were very professional and took the time to ask each of us what type of look we wanted. When one of us felt that we wanted a retouch on our hair or make up, they did not fuss and did exactly what was needed to make each of us feel comfortable.

Even though they were very professional, the experience felt like it was just a group of close friends glamming each other up. They were really great and fun to work with. Our make up and hair lasted the entire day and we felt beautiful and confident through every second because of them.

If I had another big event coming up, I definitely would go back to them.

I worked with Angela of Embellir Artistry for my wedding day. I don't have a regular hair person here in the city, but trusted the other reviews on this site and was not disappointed!
I went for a trial run about 2 months before the wedding date and was thrilled with the results and on the wedding day Angela worked tirelessly to make me, my bridesmaids, my mother, step-mother and mother-in-law look our absolute best.
The most important thing to me was that we had someone who would be able to do hair and/or make-up for 6 people and would travel to us on the day of the wedding. Angela was punctual and got straight to work in our hotel suite and even finished earlier than we thought we would.
I spent the day looking and feeling my best and I know that if you choose Embellir Artistry you will not be disappointed!

Loretta is beyond fabulous. I booked Loretta for both my wedding and engagement party. For my engagement party I wanted to go with a Glam rock look and gave her a general description of what I was looking for. When I finally looked in the mirror, it was exactly what I wanted! She gave me smokey dark eyes and an overall edgy look. For my wedding day I wanted the classic pin up girl look. She gave me a natural glow, all the while keeping my makeup light with the perfect color splash of red for my lips. She was an integral part of my big day because she made me feel even more beautiful and confident. And the pictures are proof of that!
Loretta is professional, punctual, patient and an absolute pleasure to be around. I booked Loretta for another event I am going to next month. I can't wait for the next look she'll be creating for me!

Loretta @Embellir is truly one of the most talented makeup artists out there. I have had trials with a number of people, and she by far is the best that is out there. Her skills range from natural to dramatic looks, with lots of emphasis on the eyes. A huge plus, since my eyes and lashes are almost non-existent! It’s incredible how she was able to beautify me and my bridal party in time for a 12PM ceremony. Let me also add that I have the most unmanageable hair and she was able to tackle that mop with ease. I would not think twice and would book her again!

Loretta was a pleasure to deal with, she was professional, patient and is a truly amazing make-up artist! I'm the type of girl who doesn't put on make-up on a daily basis and when I do...it's only mascara and lip gloss because my Hub doesn't like girls with heavy make-up. So with that in mind, I was in search for a make-up artist who can help me achieve a very natural/simple look yet beautiful. I did a trial run with 2 other make-up artists before I came across Loretta. She did exactly what I wanted with my make-up and hair. I have small eyes with no double eyelid and thought I would look funny with eye shadows, but Loretta amazingly made my eyes bigger and sexier with her excellent make-up skills. The way she did my eye shadow and lashes were not overwhelming at all. Also, I have a tan complexion, so she recommended using air brush foundation to bring out my naturally tanned skin color. I was glowing, Hub was happy, make-up was perfect! She also did my hair, with extensions added ahead of time since my hair is short and I wanted my hair down. She carefully matched the extensions with the color of my hair, it came out to be very natural and full looking. She did my hair exactly what I had showed her on a magazine on my wedding day, I wish I can hire her as my hair stylist! I'm glad to have found Loretta to beautify me on my special day, would highly recommend her and would book her again in a heartbeat for special occasions. Thanks a million, Loretta!!!

Angela is exceptionally wonderful! She was punctual and did not at any point rush to do my make-up on my big day. She really made sure that my hair and make-up, and even my wedding veil was perfect. I had a last minute trial session and she was able to fit me just a few days before my wedding. She listened to what I wanted and worked together with me to achieve what she thought was best but bearing in mind the kind of looks I had wanted to achieve. She was friendly, funny and warm and her price is affordable especially since I was on a tight budget (as I have been on a long distance relationship for years with my husband), so affordability was very important. I have never worn eye-shadow or heavy make-up before, nor was I a fan of foundation and when she suggested using blue and purple shadow and airbrush foundation, I was a little nervous but even in broad daylight, everyone (including passer bys in the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan!) complimented how beautiful I looked and my friends were so complimentary of my make-up and how my skin was glowing in the photos. My make-up was not heavy and it looked so professionally done, not too much and my hair was impeccable! I love the way she did my hair with lovely romantic curls! The airbrush foundation felt airy and light on my skin. I just wish I could hire her every weekend to do my hair and make-up!!! I would recommend her wholeheartedly and you should really give Angela a call if you are thinking of good, reliable, affordable and professional make-up artist. You won't regret it! I would wholeheartedly recommend Angela of Embellir Artistry for anything hair and makeup related! After reading many positive reviews on several wedding sites, I contacted Angela and she was able to fit me in for a trial run that weekend, which was very important since I only had 4 weeks before the wedding.

My first impression was that she was very professional and had a good understanding of how to make each person look their best. She took my opinions and example photos into account, but was not afraid to assert her expert opinion as well. As a person who prefers a more natural look, my primary concern was looking overly made up. (If I had it my way, I would swipe on some mascara and be good to go for the wedding.) During the trial run, Angela encouraged me to go beyond my comfort zone and try adding more colors so that the photographs would come out really well. And in the end, I’m really glad I took her advice because the end result was exactly what I was looking for – a natural look that accentuated all my features.

Overall, I couldn’t have been happier. The makeup and hair lasted all day long, Angela was prompt, skillful and professional and her services were in my price range.

Loretta is fabulous! It was my bachelorette party, and I really wanted to glam it up for the big night out on the town with the gals. I'm so glad I treated myself to hair & makeup, because Loretta really made my night, in all aspects.

She not only made my eyes bold and beautiful, but gave me pointers for my outfit and even how to pose for the camera. This girl really knows what she is doing, and I am thankful that she was very educated in creating the whole look for me, which included the hair, and perfecting the "look" for the night that I envisioned.

I can't even mention how many times people complimented me that night (not only because I was the bride-to-be), but because I truly looked, felt, and exuded confidence and had a huge smile on my face. Loretta was super nice and professional ! My make-up and hair looked very natural and stayed all day ! I even didnt want to take it off in the end of the night in the honeymoon suit , how good it was ! :) Thanks to Loretta , she did a dreat job ! She was filled with ideas & listened to everything I said regarding how I wanted my hair & make-up for my special day. She came to my house for the trial; which was fantastic. For the day of my wedding, she did my hair & make-up as well as my mother. We were both beyond impressed & happy with our results. Angela and Loretta are the best out there! To properly prepare for the big day, we had a few trials to ensure that I narrow down the exact makeup and hair that I want. I wasn't too sure as to where to start and the ladies patiently gave me suggestions and tried different looks till I found the one I loved. This is a very important step so that there's no surprises the day of.

On the actual day, we stuck to the timeline and everyone came out gorgeous. My bridemaids couldn't stop raving about their make-up/hair. Best part is, due to the magic airbrushing technique, my make-up stayed on all day and night. I didn't want to remove it at the end of it all.

I recommend Embellir Artistry to anyone that's looking for superb professional services with heart and a friendly smile! Book a trial and you'll know what I mean!

The team of Embellir did a wonderful job on my wedding. The makeup was natural looking and stayed clean and flawless looking all day! (I went with airbrush for me and the whole bridal party). I decided to go with a half up hair style so I got the extension from them as well, my hair was looking full and so natural looking even my husband couldn't tell I had extensions! I still have my extension til this day. I just can't say enough good things about these 2 girls.

The artists were so accommodating, organized, and a pleasure to work with. They did an absolutely terrific job. The team focused in on me, and did not come in with a set ideas of what to do and the result was magnificent. I've been a bridesmaid to two different brides who both used Embellir Artistry. I could tell why they chose Embellir immediately. Both artists made all of the bridesmaids in both wedding parties beautiful yet kept the makeup natural which was exactly what we (as bridesmaids as well as the bride) wanted. And the best part was the makeup stayed on and hairstyles stayed up beautifully for the entire day - both weddings were at least 16 hour days! Three Words: Professional, Perfection and Beautiful... that pretty much sums up my experience with Angela for my wedding. I got married at a little stone elizabethian church in Forest Hills set against the backdrop of a wintery white cold day in February, For my makeup, Angela chose to highlight my natural colors and to enlighten my face. You hear horror stories about wedding makeup artists but not Angela, my makeup was done in 30 minutes, she then did my mom, the bridesmaids and everyone had a clean, flawless look. I was a little clueless but they were able to create a style on the spot (during the trial & recreated for the day of) that I loved! Angela from Embellir Artistry did my make up for 2 of my wedding events. She delivered two different looks, came way ahead of time and was very responsive to any changes I wanted made.
She did a spectacular job on me and my family. She was very gentle and used make up that was not rough/ stressful on my skin. Everyone kept telling me I looked fabulous for days after wards. Would highly recommend.

I just wanted to say thank you to Loretta and Embellir Artistry. Loretta did such an amazing job for my wedding in September. She did my hair and makeup, as well as for my mum and sister. Loretta also did my veil setting. She is the kind of makeup artist every bride should have! She listened to what I wanted, but knew how to make it better, and she was able to calm my nerves. My wedding day was on a sketchy, scattered, humid thunderstorm kind of day. I was so worried about my hair and makeup holding up. not only did it hold up and look amazing, but the sun came out and the rest of the day into the wedding night was amazing. Did i say my wedding was outdoors? Angela and Loretta provided services for my bridal party and did my moms makeup. everyone looked gorgeous and I felt like i looked like a supermodel, at least for the day. Thank you both for making me feel so beautiful. i will be calling you soon for another service...

Angela and Loretta did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup. I looked stunning. My makeup held up all day (from 6 AM to 7 PM) and my hair was amazing. My wedding was outside and the wind was blowing, but it still looked fantastic. I would totally recommend them to anyone. I also thought they were more affordable than other local vendors.

I hired Loretta to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as hair and makeup for my mother, my fiancé's mother, and my four bridesmaids. I was so thrilled with the quality of her and her partner's work. I wanted to wear my hair in a low sideswept bun, and I wanted a very natural look on my face (typically, I don't wear a lot of makeup). Loretta did exactly what I and my bridal party asked for. We all looked absolutely beautiful!

Loretta was also very helpful as I planned the schedule of events for my wedding day. Her and her partner arrived at our hotel where we were getting ready early that morning, and made sure that we were all ready in time for pictures without a rush. She was so professional throughout my wedding planning process, and I would highly recommend Embellir Artistry for any wedding or special event.

Loretta was an absolutely awesome hair and make up artist, and helped make my special day be even more special! I ultimately chose Loretta because of her beautiful work, and because of the high level of professionalism she showed from the first moment I contacted her. I was incredibly pleased with her work...I'll never forget the look on my husbands face husband when I was walking down the aisle :) I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience with her, and I have already recommended her to other friends!!

Loretta did an amazing job for my destination wedding in Aruba! I was really nervous picking a makeup/hair artist - those who have oily skin like I do know that heat and sun can be your worst enemies! Normally, I wouldn't care but I definitely did not want to look greasy in all my wedding pictures. She did a fantastic job and my makeup stayed on for the whole night - I kid you not! My photographers even commented on it. I think the ultimate test was when the best man tossed me into the water (wedding dress and all) and my makeup did not move AT ALL. So yeah, you can say I pretty happy about being able to continue to greet me guests without having my makeup melt away from the ocean water.

She did a makeup and hair trial for me prior to my Aruba trip. From that, she determined what I wanted from the pictures I showed her. I really appreciated her honesty. Sometimes ppl show pictures of stars not realizing that skin tone and face structure really makes a difference. She took what I showed her and added to it to fit my darker skin tone and face structure. I was happy that she stopped whatever she was doing to listen to what I wanted and she wasn't afraid to put in her own opinions too. She was also encouraging me to tell her what I like and don't like as she was working on my hair and makeup. I was very happy with the end product and also appreciated that she took into consideration that I have sensitive acne-prone skin and tried to use oil-free products. Surprisingly, I didn't feel like I had any makeup on at all!

I ended up asking her to do my Aruba wedding day hair and makeup and also my hair and makeup for my Thai water ceremony here at home. Again, no regrets at all! A few of my guests already took a few of her business cards for themselves!

I am very happy with choosing Embellir! I was first booked with Angela. I liked her makeup at the trial, but then she realized, due to reasons out of her control she might not be able to do my wedding. She rebooked me with Raisa for hair and Marika for makeup to have another trial done. They were great, professional, made any changes I wanted. On the wedding day they were on time and worked quickly. I loved what Raisa did with my hair and Marika listened to what we wanted for makeup and executed it beautifully. The bridesmaids were very happy with their looks. Responsiveness with Embellir in general could have been better- I had to call and email several times to get responses, but all my contacts with Angela were very quick.

My experience with Embellir was great! I found them to be a high-quality makeup & hair artist that was also affordable for me and my bridal party. On the day of the wedding, they had me plus 7 other women to take care of, so they had their work cut out for them! We had 3 artists and everyone looked beautiful, classy and not overdone. The makeup and hair lasted all day (got ready between 9-11 am in the morning and reception ended around 11 pm). Additionally, some had specific looks they wanted to try and Embellir's artists were very open and flexible to customizing their desired look. I also was very pleased with my hair & makeup trial. I would highly recommend this company to any bride.

Angela and Loretta did hair and make-up for myself and two bridesmaids. They did a great job and were really wonderfully to work with. They really listened and took into account our personal preferences, our dress, the weather, and were able to deliver what was asked of them. The make up was enough for photos but yet looked natural and beautiful. After having had an experience where the make up looked too over the top and scary on my face, finding someone who knows the balance was critical and a great relief. On the wedding day, we looked gorgeous and were all very pleased with how our hair and make-up turned out. I would highly recommend Angela and Loretta!

Picking a hair/makeup vendor seemed like a daunting task. There were so many options, and I didn't know where to start.

I picked Embellir Artistry because they had great reviews. They were very responsive to emails and I was able to easily schedule a weekend hair consultation (many places would not schedule weekend consultations. With my work schedule, I needed a weekend consultation. I was very happy that Embellir was able to provide me one!).

Loretta was my hair and makeup artist. She was great. She is very nice and pleasant to work with. She listened to my concerns and made sure they were all addressed. She arrived on time (a few minutes early actually so she was set up to start at our 9am start time). She kept us all on schedule.

The makeup held up well throughout the day. The hair didn't, but that is not her fault. Every time someone hugged me, they crushed my hair! Luckily, my bridesmaids were able to fix the fallen strands.

As far as price, they were slightly cheaper than other vendors I priced out. I think they were reasonably priced for the services provided.

I highly recommend Loretta and Embellir Artistry.

I used Angela from Embellir and she did a great job. I booked both hair and makeup for myself, my mother and my 2 sisters who were my bridesmaids, and we used Angela as well as another artist. I did a lot of research on hair and makeup artists and Embellir was a great value as they provided both services and offer a bridal package as well as a discount on that package. I was not 100% happy with my trial but Angela listened to all of my feedback and the end product was great, and my mom and sisters looked beautiful as well. One of the only negative aspects was that I was not aware that my trial would be done in the front part of a bridal salon which was a little awkward but not a huge deal. Angela came to the venue with us and touched me up before my ceremony and after as well - I was so thankful to have her there. I definitely recommend Angela and Embellir Artistry.

I used artists/stylists Angela and Loretta from Embellir Artistry for my March 2nd wedding.

Angela also did my h/mu trial. During the trial I gave some feedback which she executed perfectly on the actual wedding day. I was extremely happy with the updo and make up. Guests kept commenting on how radiant yet natural the make up looked (or variations of that). From what I've seen in pictures so far, the make up photographed really well -- bringing out the best of my features without looking overdone.

The two stylists worked together on the wedding day to offer hair and makeup to several of our family members -- everyone seemed very happy with the results and we all looked beautiful.

The make up seemed to last all night (except for the lips, but they give you gloss and a brush to retouch that). My hair -- a semi-loose/unstructured updo -- started coming loose about 3-4 hours into the party, but by then who cares! it still looked good anyway. And of course, by then it had been about 6 hours of it holding perfectly for pre-ceremony photos, prep, and the first few hours of the event.

Although I wish the pricing was more affordable (since I am not a big spender on hair or make up products and services, in general) -- they were reasonably priced compared to other hair and makeup vendors in NY, so I would consider them a good value and a justified indulgence on my wedding day.

Angela did my hair and make-up for my engagement pictures. She came on time and helped me come up with the look that I envisioned. She was accommodating when I asked her to change a little something in my eye make-up. She finished right on time as well. She was very professional and really nice.

I worked with Loretta and she was amazing! I searched high and low for a great make-up artist and hair stylist for my wedding day at a price that was reasonable and Embellir hands down was the most affordable option. Loretta is such a pleasure - she is a wonderful woman and was a pleasure to work with during the trial and on my wedding day. I was a bridesmaid for my cousin's wedding and I had Embellier Artistry come and do the hair for all of the bridesmaids. I didn't start looking for a stylist until a week before the wedding. They were booked for another wedding that day but Loretta was able to squeeze us in with a week's notice which I am very grateful for. A contract was emailed for me to sign which outlined everything in clear detail. Angela and Jennifer were right on time at 5:30 am and were very professional. They came well prepared with lights, mirrors, extension cords and everything they would need. This is very important because it can get very chaotic when everyone is getting ready. They were neat and organized. I told them what look I was going for and they were able to give me suggestions. I did not know exactly what I wanted but they were able to change and tweak the style to my satisfaction. I loved how my hair came out. It was perfect. The most important part was it lasted all night, through the humidity, running around, thousands of photos, and crazy sweaty dancing. At the end of the night my hair still looked perfect. I would recommend Embellir Artistry and use them again for any upcoming special events where I need to look fabulous.

Angela was absolutely amazing. Although I completely changed my mind from what I told her I wanted at the trial, she followed my directions and made it even better than expected. Angela was great. She did one practice hair and make-up for me, and I wanted to try something different with my hair, so she did another practice hair for me another day. Angela was fantastic! She always responded to emails and questions promptly and knowledgeably. We did a trial a few months before the wedding. Angela really understood and provided what I was looking for (a clean and classy look). Angela was on time the day of. My mom and my sister also had their hair/makeup done and loved their look!

I had a July 9th wedding and went with the airbrushing to assure that it lasted the day. It last all day and into the night!

Lorretta and Angela did an amazing job for our wedding day. I found Loretta and Angela after an extensive search for hair and makeup artists in the New York City area. Embellir Artistry was by far the best priced, but I do not believe that I had to compromise quality for the price.
Loretta did an amazing job with my airbrush foundation, false lashes, and great up-do. She and Angela also did hair and makeup for two other bridal party members. For no extra charge they did a quick cover up job on a bruise my mom had on her forearm the day of the wedding. They had trouble getting to our venue because of train trouble, but were only a few minutes later than expected. They finished everyone’s looks with time to spare.
Also, Loretta was also incredibly flexible. After my makeup and hair trial my husband had said he thought the makeup didn’t look “natural” enough, so Loretta changed my makeup for the day of the wedding and everyone loved the more “natural” look.
The only minor complaint I would have is that occasionally Loretta would take a long time to respond to emails. She only did this when an email was not time sensitive, so it didn’t really matter. On top of that the only time she did not respond to a time sensitive email was when I asked her what the final balance due on the wedding day was. She responded only about 24 hours before the wedding, and said that although I had miscalculated the bill by $60 that since her response was so late she would provide the services at the lower (incorrect) price). I thought this was incredibly nice of her, and so I really can’t complain about slow email response when compared with the amazing service she and her partner provided.
Overall I would recommend Loretta and Angela from Embellir Artistry to anyone looking for a great hair and makeup team for their wedding day. They were professional, and affordable.

I booked Loretta solely based on her awesome reviews since I didn't have time to do my trial before going on a big trip. It was a great decision. When I came back, we had a great trial - she's really warm-hearted and pleasant to work with. I don't generally wear much makeup and she eased me into it, and showed me what a difference it would make in the photos. On the day of the wedding, my hair and makeup came out beautifully and withstood a solid 10 hours, despite tears, a lot of crazy dancing, and people hugging my hair a little too hard. She also brought Marika and Raisa to do hair and makeup for my sisters and mom on the day of the wedding. They did an excellent job matching up the photos my sisters brought to their final looks, and my mom, who is also not a big makeup wearer, commented later on how pleased she was with how she looked in the photos, what an excellent job they did, and very importantly, how none of the products used irritated her sensitive skin. Their prices were very reasonable for the level of service. I'd highly recommend them!

I am very glad I worked with Embellir for my wedding. Many other hair/makeup artists that I contacted would only work with me if I had a large wedding party or required that I pay for more hair/makeup services than I needed for my small bridal party. Embellir had a very reasonable package in terms of price. My mom came with me to do a hair/makeup trial with Angela, and she was terrific. Lotus bridal shop, where we met with Angela for the trial, was tranquil and pleasant. We were very pleased with Angela's work. Embellir was professional in every regard. A month or so after my trial, Angela contacted me to let me know she would not be able to be there on my wedding day for personal reasons. She immediately helped me set up a second hair/makeup trial with two other Embellir artists, Marika (makeup) and Raisa (hair). They were willing to come to my apartment for the trial and did not charge me a fee for the second trial. Embellir's professionals did their best to make this unexpected change as stress-free as possible, and in the end I was tremendously happy with Marika and Raisa's work. Having separate hair and makeup artists was very convenient, and my mom and sister also loved the way they looked for my wedding. I would happily recommend Angela, Raisa, and Marika to any bride planning her wedding look.
