Picking Elyse as our wedding planner was by far the best decision we could have ever made. From the moment we met her, we felt her expertise and passion shine through and knew she would be the perfect person to plan our wedding. We quickly realized those qualities were just the tip of the iceberg when it came to Elyse - she was also thoughtful, patient, tasteful, invested and attentive. Her project coordinator, Lauryn, matches her greatness and the two of them were truly our partners, not just our planners, throughout the entire wedding process.
By asking thoughtful questions at the beginning, they quickly gained our trust and their aptitude showed at every turn - we constantly found ourselves saying, “thank goodness we get to work with them” and nothing was a better example of this than the final execution when they turned our shared vision into the wedding of our dreams.
Living in LA while planning a wedding in SLO, we relied on Elyse and Lauryn as our local guides and they did not disappoint. They connected us with the best of the best when it came to our vendor team, and every single person we worked with consistently and genuinely praised Elyse as someone they also loved to work with.
When we reflect on the wedding process, the word that comes to mind is “seamless.” Because we had hired Elyse Events (and because they are so on top of it), we never felt like we needed to sweat the small stuff and instead we got to put our focus and energy towards the fun parts. This seamlessness extended into the wedding day itself, when they ensured that all of our vendors had the necessary information and were where they needed to be… we barely even realized any of it was happening; it just felt like pieces calmly fell into place around us. On top of flawlessly managing the event, Elyse and Lauryn were there for the both of us throughout the entire day, going above and beyond when the moment called for it. This, we realize, is the magic of Elyse Events. They are great planners, but even better people.
We truly cannot imagine having planned our wedding with anyone else and are so grateful that we had Elyse and Lauryn with us on our special day. Anyone would be lucky to work with this team when planning their wedding day. -

Elyse was one of the first people we hired for our wedding in Paso Robles and was everything we were looking for and more. We had a specific vision in mind and she knew the best vendors to book to complete that vision, accommodated all of our asks, and most of all made the entire planning process easy and fun for us. She knew we like Disney and sports, and incorporated subtle yet meaningful nods to our personalities throughout the entire wedding, and if there was anything that went wrong on our wedding day, we definitely couldn't tell. Can't recommend Elyse Events enough, so if you're thinking of hiring Elyse this is your sign to do it! -

From the moment she stepped in, Elyse took complete ownership of the coordination with confidence, clarity, and calm. She understood my vision down to the smallest detail and ensured everything ran smoothly and precisely. I could actually relax and enjoy the day, knowing she was behind the scenes making sure everything was perfectly in place.
What I appreciated most was how seriously she took the responsibility. I was most worried about things being straight, styled, and timed just right, and she handled every element with such precision that I didn’t need to check or stress. We couldn’t be more thrilled with Elyse from Elyse Events for planning our April wedding! From the start, Elyse truly listened to my ideas and then elevated them into something even more beautiful than I could have imagined. She designed the most stunning day, thoughtfully pairing us with amazing vendors who brought our vision to life.
She trusted me to create my own signage and provided insightful, professional guidance to make everything look cohesive and polished. Elyse’s attention to detail was incredible, with seamless backup plans for all weather conditions (which, thankfully, we didn’t need!).
Elyse ensured everything ran smoothly and on time, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the day. And when I had a hair emergency, she stepped in to fix it herself! Her sweet, kind, and fun personality made working with her such a joy.
We are so incredibly grateful for Elyse’s hard work, creativity, and dedication. She turned our dream wedding into reality and made the entire process feel effortless.

There aren't even words to express how grateful we are for all that Elyse and her team did for us leading up to and on the most important day of our lies! Her and her team (especially Lauryn!) were incredibly helpful in making sure all the little pieces were in place, organized, and ready to go not just before the event but throughout the day-of also, arguably the most important part! Having a 'destination' wedding 6 hours away from where we live definitely could have been daunting but Elyse helped us feel at-ease knowing that nothing would slip through the cracks and everything would fall right into place - exactly what happened! I felt so relaxed all day in large part because I knew they had allll the logistics handled. We seriously cannot express how nice it was to not have to worry about anything and instead just get to enjoy the celebrations with our friends and fam.
It truly surpassed all of our wildest dreams and was so so beautiful thanks to Elyse's thoughtful and intentional design and hard work. From the table design, to the florals, to all the decorative details that Elyse and team set up, it was somehow even better than we ever could have even imagined leading up to it. We heard from sooo many guests after the wedding that it was the most beautiful wedding they've been to which was just the coolest!!
Throughout our planning process, Elyse was extremely helpful in providing vendor recommendations, helping us book all our design vendors, providing mock ups and design suggestions based on the inspiration pics I provided :) and reminding us which things we needed to tackle at each stage of the wedding planning process, which was the part I was most nervous about going into it. She helped us stay on track and ensure nothing was missed in prep for the big day.
We HIGHLY recommend Elyse and her team if you are looking for an organized, passionate and design-oriented wedding planner for your big day! Best decision we made! -

Let me first start off by saying that I have known Elyse since 2014 and she has been my friend since the beginning of me and my now husband's relationship (she took our very first picture as a couple). We always joked that if she ever became a wedding planner, she would be ours whenever we got married in the future. Little did we know that she would become the professional, multi-tasking, and creative mastermind that she is today. Unlike some brides, I didn't go into our wedding with a very specific vision but I knew the colors and the general vibe we wanted. Elyse helped guide us with vendors, design, and everything in between during the planning process. It's very easy to plan a wedding when your wedding planner handles EVERYTHING (and I mean everything) and all you have to do is say yes or no to certain details. Elyse goes above and beyond for her couples - an example of that is for our escort display I said I wanted a champagne wall with the seating chart. She then hand drew an escort display with arches, acrylic glass, champagne wall, and flower boxes at the bottom and she made it come to life with all involved vendors. Even though my husband and I have been friends with Elyse for years, I know she befriends and loves all of the couples she works with and it's very obvious she loves what she does for a living. During the day of, everything went so seamlessly and if something did go wrong, we knew nothing about it because her priority is keeping the couple happy and blissfully unaware of any mishaps. We would recommend Elyse to anyone getting married because she is truly the best in the business and is willing to do what it takes to create beautiful weddings and the best memories. -

Elyse was a fabulous wedding planner and I could not recommend her and her team more! From my first email to my wedding day, she was responsive, extremely helpful, kind, and enthusiastic. I had the best time working with her and getting to know her as a person. You can tell she loves what she does and puts thought and care into every decision to helps you make. Wedding planners are supposed to make your experience easier for you, but Elyse goes above and beyond that. I mentioned to her I was having a hard time picking out bridesmaid dresses and she immediately sends me some options (one of which I ended up choosing!) I also gave her full reign over the cake decorations so she surprised me with a paper crane outline in icing - a symbol that is important to me and my heritage. The cake brought tears to my eyes and still does to this day when I think back on it. Huge thank you to Elyse and the rest of her team!! -

We highly encourage all of you who are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, to DEFinitely hire a wedding planner! In addition, you cannot go wrong with working with Elyse! She is beyond sweet and kind, knows so many awesome vendors (which is a total plus), and made you feel comfortable and valued every step of the way.
Before hiring her, I was that bride who thought.. "Do I really need a planner.. I have all my ducks in a row in my everyday life.. I already know what I want for my big day..." however, Elyse knew exactly how to give me the space I needed and knew how to handle those "I don't know what I'm doing" moments! (Believe me- there will be plenty of ideas you will want to run by her and she always has the best solutions).
Planning a wedding during COVID was no joke STRESSFUL, but, Elyse worked so hard to make sure each decision was smooth and well thought out. She was there every step of the way and we really appreciate her willingness to efficiently communicate with everyone, in addition to, her professionalism throughout the 2 years it took to plan our wedding.

Wow where do I even begin?! From day one Elyse went above and beyond to help make our wedding dreams a reality. She is a rockstar at communicating with vendors, organizing wedding timelines, managing setups and putting out last-minute "fires." Her wedding layouts and timelines were honestly works of art (they were so well done and so easy to read). On our wedding day, she helped create a ceremony and reception space more beautiful than we imagined and effortlessly handled every aspect of the day. We are 1000% certain things would not have turned out so well if it was not for Elyse.
Beyond her amazing work ethic, Elyse is also a wonderful human being. Her positive attitude and infectious spirit permeated throughout our wedding. She is so kind to other vendors and does everything she can to make everyone feel appreciated and valued.

We got married a few weeks ago, and I just have to say... Elyse will be the best decision you've ever made, aside from marrying your spouse. ;-) I wish I could give her 10 stars and also everything she's ever hoped and dreamed for - I'm that grateful. We had her as a day-of coordinator, so she came on board to help us for the month before the wedding. At that point, I was in sheer panic mode and felt so behind on so many things, and Elyse just handled everything with a smile. She was reassuring and friendly, and it immediately felt like she had our back and was the critical player we needed on our team. She was so responsive, so perfectly organized, and was on top of every detail (including things we hadn't even thought of). We had a few frustrating vendors that I was about ready to kill at some point and she took over completely and lifted SO much stress off of me. The wedding day itself was flawless; Elyse and her team crushed every detail and everything ran like clockwork. I was impressed with Elyse's enthusiasm and work ethic from the get go. She took time out of her vacation to make the initial call to see if she was the right fit for us. We planned a CA wedding all the way from KY and Elyse was ON TOP of everything from day one. She constantly had a positive attitude (even when I didn't) and regularly rolled with the punches when we ran into road blocks with vendors and family. She was conscientious of our budget and of any concerns I may have had about stuff.
Our wedding was perfect, more "us" than I ever could have hoped and Elyse was such a shining light throughout.
I highly recommend Elyse! I hope she is in my life forever so I can watch her continue to grow her business and help give other couples their dream weddings in SLO and beyond! -

I did not think I needed a wedding coordinator because I am extremely ocd, well-organized (spreadsheet queen) and have worked in the wedding industry myself. Hiring Elyse to coordinate our wedding was the best decision we made. Everything was flawless from the month-long communication about contracts, insurance and vendor payments, to the rehearsal music timing run-through and day-of wedding timeline. Elyse and her staff were friendly, professional, and made the day stress-free for me (the bride) which is not easy to do for someone with my type A personality. There were so many little details I hadn't even thought about that Elyse made sure were taken care of. My mom, family members and bridal party were able to enjoy the day and be present for each moment because Elyse and her team were busy making every detail perfect! I cannot recommend her enough! -

My wife and I were referred to Elyse by one of our close friends and we are so grateful for her!! Elyse went above and beyond being proactive and responsive. We used the Knot.com wedding planning book and website, with Elyse taking over for the month of, and day of, our wedding. She is professional and organized while being flexible with the various nuances that I’m sure are a part of most weddings.
For context, our wedding had about 150 people, about 10 vendors, and yes, family politics. :)
I very rarely do reviews but I can confidently say, please do yourself a favor and give her a call!

The best decision I’ve ever made was marrying my husband. The second was hiring Elyse as our wedding planner. She handled all of our concerns/thoughts/feelings/anxieties in a timely, friendly, efficient and professional manner. She also became a friendly voice to talk ideas over with. Knowing we had her on our team helped alleviate a ton of anxiety. She was incredible at navigating both me and my husband’s personalities (and we have...um... big ones). Our venue was errrr.... difficult and I think I’d be laying in a ditch somewhere in my wedding dress right now instead of cuddling up with my hubby if it hadn’t been for Elyse’s help. She truly went above and beyond. I’m already thinking of all the other events I want to plan just so I can work with her again! -

*She alleviates any stress - she's KNOWS it's YOUR day so she ensures you have nothing to stress or worry about (she has this 'its all good everything is perfect' vibe with a huge smile that just completely relaxes you)
* She truly cares. You will feel like you're her number one priority
* She handles it ALL and is there ALWAYS with a smile. If anything did go wrong - I didn't know about it. And everytime I needed her she was magically there (seriously, how did you do it?!)
*She puts in extra care - we had a very delicate kettubah (Jewish marriage contract) and before I could even worry I heard that Elyse had wrapped it up exactly as it came and it was already in the room. This was absolutely above and beyond.
* Extra care continued - she even put on my flower crown because my hair person had to run out for a moment. Her attitude was of course absolutely amazing 'everything is perfect and whatever you need'
* Her joy in helping to make our day the best showed through out the day.
Putting into words how amazing Elyse was for us is hard. It was the best day of our life and there were no hiccups or anything because of Elyse. What's more is she is genuine, because of this you have a planner with integrity who really does want this to be your best day ever.

We live in LA, so planning a wedding from 3 hours away could have been difficult, but it wasn’t at all, thanks to Elyse. She was always there to answer any question and help us in any way. Her positivity and delightful energy continually reassured us that everything would be perfect, and it was. Throughout the entire process, she was so friendly, professional, organized and easy to speak to. Thanks to her our wedding day was practically stress free! We worked with her through Sea Venture for our wedding in 2017, though it seemed like she was the face of everything that happened that day. We had 105 guests, and she was ready and waiting, shielding us from anything remotely challenging the weekend of. If she had her own business at the time, we 1000% would have hired her and had her take care of it for us. We never met Elyse before booking our venue, but she did such a great job that to this day we stay in touch with her. She’s bright, an excellent facilitator, has planning skills that don’t compare with anyone I know or have worked with before, and she’s connected. Most of all, she provided a SEAMLESS experience.
