Wow, I could write a novel on the incredible Ellis Event Design. We hired EED for our wedding in Columbia, S.C. in early November 2025. The months leading up to our big day, Eden helped us track our to-do list, kept in touch with vendors, and would let us know/send reminders for vendor payment. She also helped us track our budget and was able to help us envision where a certain dollar amount could take us. Eden kept us feeling calm, cool, and collected, even on the big day. Eden and her team made our wedding an unforgettable weekend, with memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I would tell anyone, my best friend or a stranger, to hire Eden (and her amazing team) to execute a flawless (and an insanely fun) wedding/event!!! -

Eden is a MUST have for your wedding!!!
Eden was truly a godsend throughout our entire wedding planning journey — working with her was one of the absolute highlights of the process. From the very beginning, it felt like I was planning with a close friend rather than just another vendor. She is not only incredibly professional but also one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
Eden immediately understood my vision and helped me curate a dream team of vendors who brought it to life flawlessly. Every single vendor she recommended was exceptional at what they do, and together they created a day that far exceeded anything I could have imagined.
In what’s often a stressful time, Eden made everything feel easy and effortless. She and her team are so good at what they do—they have this quiet confidence, never boastful but absolutely the best at what they do. They are incredibly capable, often anticipating what we needed before we even realized it ourselves. Eden is not just a planner; she is personable, empathetic, and such a professional. It’s rare to find someone who balances all of these qualities so perfectly, but she does. Her pricing was completely reasonable, and her vendor recommendations were one of our favorite things about working with her. There are no words to accurately describe our fantastic experience with Ellis Event Design for my daughter’s November wedding. Eden is a sheer joy to be around and so very professional. She was reasonably priced and worth absolutely every penny and more.
Questions were answered immediately, the services and vendors she recommended were all so impressive as was Eden’s staff. And the vision of a very intimate wedding despite there being 120 people was captured beautifully.
I would give Ellis Event Design a 5 Star recommendation and consider any bride and her family that booked Eden, very lucky indeed.

Eden was truly exceptional – we cannot recommend her enough. We are so grateful that she accepted us as clients. She not only helped plan our wedding, but also organized the rehearsal dinner and welcome party the night before.
Throughout the planning process, Eden was super easy to work with. She is well-connected with all the major vendors, quickly grasped our style and preferences, and presented us with several top-notch options for every decision at varying price points. Her ability to narrow down choices to only great options made decision-making easy. Eden also provided great advice on budget management, highlighting what was worth the investment and what could be deprioritized. She was very organized and worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure everything was perfect, even accommodating unique requests that venues had not previously encountered.
On the wedding weekend, Eden was amazing! Her demeanor is calm, cool, and collected – she is never stressed (or at least doesn’t show it), but still makes sure everything gets done. As a bride, she kept me calm and at ease all weekend, allowing me to just enjoy the festivities! Her day-of team was equally impressive. Our friends and family continuously praised her, saying that she was the most calm and composed wedding planner they had ever seen.
In summary, we could not recommend Eden more highly! She is wonderful - kind, helpful, understanding, efficient, and really just a joy to be around on the most important day of your life. We cannot imagine our wedding without EED. Thank you Eden and team! -

Eden and I have known each other for 13 years, so choosing her as my wedding planner was an obvious decision. While I consider myself organized, the level of detail Eden brought to the planning process was truly remarkable. As a bride with a mother deeply involved in the details, the best part of my experience with Eden and her team was the entire wedding weekend. Eden was absolutely fantastic during our wedding planning process - I could not recommend her more! Hiring Ellis Event Design was the best decision we made. From the moment we spoke to Eden on the phone, we knew we wanted to work with her. Eden is incredibly talented at what she does and leaves no detail to chance. She made the planning process enjoyable, is so patient, and feels like a friend through the entire process. Her taste is impeccable and timeless, and she works with incredible vendors. She truly cares for her clients and wants you and your family to have the best day with zero worries.
We had a destination wedding which can be so tricky to plan, especially when you can't see some of your selections in person. She offered to personally go to Sas-E Ink for color selections in person if we needed, and she even mailed our invites for us to make sure they got out on time ( and went on a wild goose chase for stamps since multiple post offices were out!). I never once worried about booking a vendor as long as they were on her list!
All of our guests made it a point to say how smoothly the day went and how beautiful it was - I can say that was 100% Eden! She's simply the best! We are beyond grateful for her. -

You absolutely cannot go wrong working with Eden! She is the sweetest soul, genuinely so kind and wants you to have the day of your dreams. I showed her some inspiration photos for our wedding day, and she was able to replicate that perfectly - taking care of the small minuscule things so I could relax and enjoy the wedding planning process. At no point during our engagement was I stressed because she was able to take care of everything that needed to be done in a timely manner, and was amazing with communication and answered all of my 1000 questions along the way. Would definitely recommend her to anyone needing not just a planner but a friend along the way. -

There are not enough words to describe how much we recommend Eden! Eden uses a very organized website that shows exactly what you have booked, when to pay, how much you have paid, and so much more. This was a huge help when planning and trying to keep track of budget and what is left to do. Eden contacted every vendor for me and made sure that everything was crafted to perfection for my wedding day. Eden understood my vision from day 1 and was able to find vendors that were cohesive with this concept. Throughout this process Eden has given me everything I envisioned and has been incredibly helpful in finding things within my budget. My entire wedding was planned with Eden within 4 months of working with her, aside from small ticket items such as day of items (koozies, wedding programs). 72 hours before our wedding we noticed that the weather was going to thunderstorm. Eden was able to find us a tent two days before, have it draped with lighting and a chandelier, and make it incredibly beautiful and special. This tent was not something I wanted for my wedding day because I dreaded rain, and to be honest Eden made it look so pretty that I truly think my wedding venue would not have looked the same without it!
I am very thankful that we found and worked with Eden and highly encourage that you do the same! She has very good relationships with vendors and an incredibly good reputation. Working with someone who has a good reputation in CHS is everything! She is smart and calm and has incredible experience in this industry. Her connections and recommendations helped curate my wedding to perfection. I was able to trust her throughout this entire process and my wedding day vision was able to come to life! I would highly recommend Eden to all my friends and family and can assure you that you will feel the exact same way.

If I could give one piece of wedding advice- hire Eden!!
I HIGHLY recommend Eden and Ellis Event Design!!! We had to reschedule our wedding THREE times due to covid and Eden was absolutely instrumental in that- I actually can't imagine how we would have possibly done it without her. Throughout the entire planning process she was never once phased by any curveballs/restrictions or changes we had to make, she was so chill and handled everything like it was a breeze! It's so rare to find someone so organized and on top of things but who is so relaxed and pleasant to be around at the same time. :) Everyone loved her, including our venue and the entire wedding party. I had so many guests ask for her name after the event! Every suggestion she made/idea she had were the most beautiful elements of the entire design. We LOVE Eden and couldn't recommend her more! -

Working with Ellis Event Design is like working with someone that is family. I am in a very special position where I knew the day that I got engaged there was no other wedding planner that I would even consider working with. I am also in the honored position that Eden Ellis was a dear friend before she was my wedding planner. Having known her since we were freshman in college made the experience even more wonderful, but Eden makes all her clients feel like they have known her for years. She was always available to answer any questions we had and sometimes I would have to even tell her to go enjoy an evening out instead of being chained to her email. Eden and I’s relationship blossomed even more through the wedding planning process. If there is one word that I could use to describe her it would be selfless.
She knows that I am more of a type B person, so she would come to me with a couple of options, talk each of them through and then I would easily be able to make the decision. Unlike, some girls that dream of exactly the way their wedding is going to look, I just knew I wanted to have a good time and party with all the people I love after marrying the man of my dreams. Eden was able to interpret this and truly give me the wedding I had not even realized I was dreaming of. For example, I had no idea what kind of linens or table setups I wanted. I am a big lover of tie dye and Eden was able to find the most awesome, and tasteful, tie dye table linens for our reception. I have had so many people approach me after the fact saying how cool they looked and that they never would have thought to do a pattern and deviate from the normal ivory table clothes. Eden can add the most personal touches in ways that only elevates the design.
Budget was the least fun part of the process, but with Eden’s expertise we were able to stretch my dollar as far as it could possibly go and came in right at my budget. The money that was paid for Ellis Event Design’s services was absolutely the best money spent from our wedding budget.
I obviously have insisted and raved about working with Ellis Event Design to every bride I know and the way I always describe working with her is she will always make you feel like this is truly going to be the best day of your life. I know that might sound cliché, but as anyone that has gone through the process of planning a wedding and the stress that inevitably stems from that, the excitement of what is to come can sometimes get lost. I never felt throughout the 17 months of my engagement that it had lost its allure. Anytime there was planning to be done or decisions to be made, it only added anticipation and elation I knew I would have during wedding weekend and that is all thanks to Eden Ellis.
If you are a bride and you are looking for the best possible wedding planner on the market, look no further than Ellis Event Design. You will not only have the absolute best experience, but you will also gain a new friend along the way. -

Eden is the absolute BEST!
There aren’t enough words to thank Eden for the amazing job she did with our wedding. We did interview calls with 10+ planners and we immediately felt like Eden was our girl. She was easygoing, super friendly, and very honest and upfront about costs and what to expect when planning a wedding in the Charleston area (we live in NYC and we couldn’t come to Charleston much for planning so we wanted someone on the ground who knew the ropes of wedding planning in CHS). She helped us stay within our budget (we actually came in under which we were so impressed by) and Eden was on top of every single thing every step of the way. We had some issues with our wedding programs not being delivered the week of our wedding and before I even knew they didn’t arrive, she had called the company and had them refund us, she had the company send her the original proof, and she had them printed locally. This is one of the many many things Eden did throughout the planning process that made us so happy we went with her. Not to mention, she planned this with us during Covid and with all the new rules and guidelines in place, she still made the process easy and straightforward for us. I am so grateful we went with her and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

We cannot say enough about how much we loved working withEden and Ellis Event Design to plan our wedding. When we started the process ofresearching wedding planners we felt a little uneasy about the fact that we livedfar away from the wedding location and were going to have to rely heavily onwhoever we hired. We heard about Eden and Ellis Event Design through family friendsand after our interview phone call our (aka the bride’s) nerves were completelyput at ease. Not only was the pricing completely reasonable especially for allthe amenities that she includes (multiple lengthy phone calls, vendor researchand pricing, the use of Aisle Planner which helped us organize and trackeverything, her physically picking and dropping wedding items up and off priorto wedding day, setting up the entire reception, etc.), but the investment surpassedour expectations. Eden is responsible, receptive, patient, and responsive and madeworking with her a pleasure. There were many panicky phone calls, texts and emailsfrom us (once again the bride), which she quickly responded to and addressed andcompletely gave us peace of mind at the end of the day. Additionally she wasfantastic with both of our families, helping out in any additional way shecould and constantly was a listening ear. Having worked for a Charleston vendorprior to wedding planning, Eden brings a lot of knowledge to the table and hasworked with many vendors (especially in the Carolinas, but I’m sure all overthe country as Charleston is such a popular place for weddings). The weekend ofour wedding went off without a hitch and everything was seamless. From the rehearsalceremony to our sparkler farewell, Eden and her team were there making sureeverything was perfect. We highly recommend Ellis Event Design and can confidently say that your experience with Eden and her team will be as enjoyable as ours! -
