My daughter was in a bind after getting a dress from another state- it arrived ill-fitting. Went to Elle James Bridal. Wish she had gone there in the first place. We were assisted by Laura and Carrie Ann. Both were outstanding - friendly, professional, knowledgeable. Not pushy, either. My daughter was treated very well, and any father would earn points with their daughter by leading her to Elle James. I also met Kristin, the owner, who had been out of the store doing owner things for most of our time there. She was also friendly and professional. -

Elle James was one of the best bridal experiences I had during the wedding planning process! It was the second store I had decided to dress shop at, and I had no clue what I was truly looking for at that point. With the help of Sarah, I found the dress, veil, AND accessories of my dreams! Sarah took every word I said and made sure I felt like the most beautiful bride during the appointment and on the day of my wedding. Their store is the cutest, and they have an amazing range of gowns, veils, accessories, and even rehearsal dinner dresses. I cannot recommend them enough to all the brides out there. 100/10 !!! -

You NEED to go to Jackson, MS to get your wedding dress!
I had the BEST experience at Elle James Bridal! I would have never put myself in the silhouette of dress I bought and Kristin suggested I try it on and it ended up being THE ONE! Kristin and staff know these dresses and what looks best on each body type! When you go to a good stylist, you get the outcome you want! I can't recommend them enough. Not only is the shop DARLING inside and out, the whole staff was SO friendly and inviting! I can't wait to wear my dress on my wedding day and be reminded of just how comfortable, confident, sexy and happy I felt when I first tried it on. Also, Kristin has a great wedding podcast that has helped me gather information and hear about other brides experiences! Don't ask questions--just book a flight to Jackson, MS and go get your dream dress at Elle James Bridal! -

This place is the place to beat. No where else did the service, attention, and experience matched. Kristen was top notch - she knows exactly how to read a bride. The store is adorable and each bridal party private. Our party was comfortable the entire time and made to feel welcome and included. -

I cannot say enough good things about Elle James. We had such an incredible experience with them during my sister's engagement season 2 years prior to mine, I knew with zero doubts I wanted to be an Elle James Bride. I stayed up to date with them on social media, patiently/impatiently waiting for my turn. I was anxious that I would not find something suited for me since it is a small salon and I am so set on looking "different". When the girls put my dress on me, my words were "STUNNER". I am obsessed and I cannot wait to see my look come together on my wedding day. I love getting to stop by the salon for jewelry, guest book, anything I need. The staff is absolutely fantastic. They make me feel like we're all friends! -

Elle James has been the best experience of wedding planning thus far. I was greeted by Hannah who allowed me to browse gowns and describe by dream dress. Every dress I tried on that day could have been the one. The quality of the dresses was beyond anything I had tried at other dress shops. Hannah helped me create a custom look to the dress that brought my vision to life. They also helped me find the perfect earrings and veil to complete the look. I was never pressured into buying anything and never felt intimidated if I didn't love something. They made the process seamless and so much fun. I would recommend them to any bride looking for a dress. -

The search for my wedding dress was extremely long and, to be honest, exhausting. I went to 6 different shops in 3 different states, and I tried on close to 50 different dresses. At every other shop, I felt stressed, nervous, and pressured into buying a dress I wasn't sure about. My first trip to Elle James, Kristen and Elizabeth made me feel extremely comfortable and never once pressured me into a decision. I found two dresses I was in love with and felt too torn to make a decision. I tried on about 25 more dresses before coming back into Elle James a second time to get the dress I couldn't stop thinking about. Even on the second trip, they did not pressure me into a dress, which helped me be confident in the decision I was making.
Also, I really appreciated that Elle James asks you to send information/inspiration about your dream dress before you come into the shop. As soon as you walk through the doors, they have dresses pulled ready to go for you. This was SO MUCH BETTER than aimlessly sorting through endless racks of dresses other places.
Lastly, TRUST THEM. Kristen knows what she's doing and what will look best on you and with your dress. I constantly insisted that I did not like lace and did not want lace on my dress or veil at all. She asked me to just try a specific veil with my dress with lace, and now, it might be what I'm most excited about wearing!
Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you're a bride anywhere in the southeast, this is your place. -

This was my very first bridal appointment, and Elle James set the standards high! From the moment I walked in the door with my mom and my girls, I instantly felt like the princess of the appointment. The owner wanted to know about my fiancé and details of my wedding, and it was so exciting to share all of my dreams with her. I tried on THE dress at Elle James, went to my two other appointments, and within an hour I was back at Elle James saying 'Yes to the Dress!' The perfect day...all thanks to Elle James! -

Brittney Sent on 07/17/2018At Elle James, Kristin (owner) met with me on a day that they are not typically open - Sunday at 9 am - in order to fit make it easier for my family and friends to be there with me. I have been to several “top” bridal shops, and nothing touched the experience I had at Elle James. It was very personalized to what I LIKE, and with me being the only guest in there, it made me feel very special. And not to mention, their dress selection is AMAZING!!!! Kristin was amazing to work with!! I would suggest going to Elle James to all brides looking for the perfect dress for their big day!!! -

I loved that it was appointment based so that my family and I had the place to ourself to relax and truly enjoy the experience. Kristin listened to what I was looking for and gave me several options to chose from that fit my style! I could not have asked for a BETTER experience at Elle James Bridal. Kristin knew what I wanted from the get go. I told her the style I wanted and she had it all figured out within seconds. Elle James Bridal was my first AND last bridal store with no one telling me where I should go. I said YES TO THE DRESS at Elle James and couldn’t have fallen in love with ANY other dress. Ladies I’m not kidding you one bit, if you WANT to find “the dress” Elle James Bridal is where you should go!!! -

I didn't have to go anywhere else to find a dress (1st time's the charm!), and Kristin really listened to what I wanted and supported me throughout the process. Kristin even stayed open past her hours to accommodate us and had an amazing selection of dresses. -

I had the absolute worst experience here and I would not recommend this bridal boutique to anyone if you want kind hearted people to help you with one of the most important dresses you will ever wear. I went here to look for a dress and fell in love with one. I ordered it with plenty of time before my wedding, about 8 months out. Once it came in January, I was so excited to come try it on, but it was the complete wrong size, it would not zip. After some not so nice comments from the owner saying it could have been me, they measured me 6 times and I was smaller than my original measurements by several inches meaning Elle James or the Designer messed up. Elle James claimed it was the designers fault by making the dress in Australian sizing though they used my specific measurements that Elle James provided them, making their claim nonsensible because the measurements would have converted over. Though I never had any concrete proof of this and regardless of who's fault it was, the store is backing the designers they carry and should in turn make right by any mistakes for the integrity of the store. Once they reordered the dress in what I thought was going to be the correct size, I came back to try it on happy to finally have it now 5 weeks out from my wedding. I was shocked they were expecting me to pay full price after all that I have been through. I asked the associate to call the owner to ask about a discount. I had mentioned my situation to my wedding planner and vendors, and they reassured me that it is common/morally correct for the store owner to abide by a discount to salvage a very negative experience, to the most important dress you will wear, into a positive outcome. The owner would only take off shipping and split sizing fee, around 170 dollars. I asked the associate if they had any decency because this is my wedding and this has added so much more stress. I was again met with some not so nice comments from the sales associate and left in shock for how I was spoken to. I am floored that a bridal shop that is currently ranked best in MS would treat anyone in this nature especially a soon to bride that had a misordered/mismade dress. It just shows the kind of people they are, and I personally would not wish that type of treatment on anyone. There are plenty of shops in surrounding towns or even ordering online would be a more pleasant experience. After meeting with alterations, I am now having to get the dress taken in several inches because the new dress did not fit correctly either. Truly this has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company.
