Elizabeth holds such a special place in my heart. I am a naturally curly hair cutie, and going into my wedding it was important to me and my fiance that I embraced my curls. I wanted to have my natural hair while still looking special. Elizabeth delivered!!! Starting from my trial, she took her time and listened to what I wanted and came up with something beautiful. She is bubbly, fun, and so wonderful to be around. She made me feel so great, I literally had her travel to Hawaii for my wedding! Best decision ever. She did my hair and makeup for my welcome brunch, a stunning updo for my wedding day, and some of my bridesmaids’ makeup. Our looks held up against heat, humidity, and ocean breeze and mist! If you have the opportunity to have Elizabeth glam you up for your special day, I recommend her 100% -

Elizabeth is so incredibly talented and I'm glad to have been able to work with her! She and her team did the hair and makeup for myself, our moms, and my bridesmaids. I was worried when first figuring out the booking because I have really frizzy and coarse hair that can be hard to tame, but at my trial Elizabeth put me at ease and made my hair smooth and shiny in loose curls. During the trial I mentioned wanting to try glam waves and Elizabeth exclaimed that she loved doing that look - I've had others try on my hair and fail, but Elizabeth executed it to perfection. I wanted to look glam for my wedding look but not over the top and she delivered, even helping me choose a more neutral palate for everyone else!
My bridesmaids all had very different skin tones and hair types and her team did an amazing job getting them done up, and getting their look to be beautiful and consistent! And our moms' makeup was also gorgeously done. I knew there may be some trouble with keeping everyone's looks beautiful and natural. Her team did a great job recommending certain color tones and dissuading ladies of the most extreme false lashes, and I was greatful for not needing to handle the pressure of that myself! It was awesome to see all the most important ladies in my life looking their best!
I'd recommend Elizabeth and her team to anyone given my great experiences with her! -

Elizabeth is freaking amazing. She was so flexible and attentive. She made me feel so relaxed and so beautiful on my wedding day! She did some of the hair and all the makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mother. I have never felt so beautiful! -

Hire Her Immediately!
My wife and I were anxious about finding a MUA who would be able to work with both of our skin tones and hair textures. When we met Elizabeth, our fears immediately dissipated. She was so engaging and easy to work with. She was responsive and went with the flow when i completely changed my hair at the last minute. Everyone on her team was amazing and everyone left feeling and looking absolutely beautiful! (she also had an amazing getting ready playlist!) Her team put everyone at ease and it made the getting ready experience totally blissful! -

Elizabeth did such an amazing job with my hair and make up! I felt so beautiful and she was the best at hyping me up and making fun conversation! The trial was great and on the day of her the wedding her team was great and made sure everyone’s hair and make up was beautiful and done in time. Her team was great at making sure our thoughts were heard and were able to make any adjustments we wanted. I would 11/10 recommend hiring Elizabeth if you want to feel beautiful! :) -

Elizabeth was amazing and it wasn't even my wedding! I was the maid of honor for a wedding in September in Washington. Elizabeth made everyone feel so warm and welcome. She worked all morning with her mask on and everyone's make up was flawless. I didn't even have to tell her what I wanted, it's like she saw my face and just knew what would look good. I've had my make up done professionally quite a few times and nothing has even looked this good. She was up front about the products she used and consistent with every person getting their make up done. She set the bar so high, I'm not sure if another make up artist can compare. I wish she lived closed to my home state of Michigan so I could use her whenever I needed! -

Elizabeth is a magician! She made me look and feel like a million bucks. My make up was natural, soft, glowing and low key but highlighted all the parts I wanted, and none of those I didn't. I was particular about how my eyeliner should look and she made sure I was 100% satisfied before she moved on to the rest of my face. Elizabeth even worked with me to add hair extensions that look flawless, and incorporated my hairpiece to perfection. It rained on the wedding day and she came prepared with a plan and my makeup lasted all day! Hair never failed me... She even spent a bit of time on the groom to ensure he was ready for his pictures as well. Our photos turned out wonderful, in part, that you set us up for success (Arlene Chambers Photography). Elizabeth was supposed to do my hair/makeup for my wedding day, but when our wedding got postponed and moved (to the east coast) due to COVID, she was SO flexible. She was able to convert our consultation appointment to a virtual consultation, so I could try to do my own hair for our downsized wedding. On a video call, she listened to my concerns, helped me choose an updo that would be doable on my own, and walked me through how to do it and what materials I would need. My hair turned out great, and I was so grateful that she took the time to help me out, even though our plans changed. -

Elizabeth is more than amazing! She not only provided my day of services for me (the bride), two bridesmaids, and my mom, but also helped me with my entire skin care routine which is life changing. Elizabeth was so accommodating when it came to makeup trials and making sure I had exactly what I wanted and was completely satisfied. I had several concerns because of my skin type and she went above and beyond to help me figure out the right products that would help me improve my skin and get me the look I wanted for my wedding day. She is also amazing to spend time with while bringing out your beauty. Such fun conversation and so relatable. The quality of products she uses is also amazing. My makeup stayed all day and into the next, still looking perfect! She was helpful with telling me the names of products I can use everyday and provided a super cute and helpful touch up kit! I can't wait to hire Elizabeth for another event! -

Elizabeth and her team are absolutely amazing!! I am so thankful I was able to work with her for both my engagement photos and my wedding. Elizabeth is personable, kind, professional, and knows how to put her clients at ease. I have been in quite a few weddings and Elizabeth is by far the best hair and makeup artist I have worked with! For the wedding, she brought my vision to life perfectly! My makeup was flawless, and my hair was stunning! I felt so glamorous but still looked like myself. All my bridesmaids absolutely raved about their hair and make-up too, everyone look phenomenal. She can do anything from soft curls to intricate up-dos, a natural makeup look to full on glam. She can help you with whatever your vision is! I always had such a fun time sitting in her chair chatting about my skincare and beauty product obsession! She and her team meshed perfectly with my bridesmaids and I, and it made for such a fun morning of the wedding. I recommend Elizabeth to all my friends because of her beautiful work and I just really want to hang out with her again! -

This review is far overdue, but I am so thankful I got to work with Elizabeth for my wedding. She is kind, thoughtful and an expert at her craft. I was nervous to get my makeup done because I've had women at makeup counters do my makeup and I have never been excited about the outcome. Elizabeth delivered.... I felt so good both on the day of my make-up trial and my wedding day. I loved it so much I ended up buying the lip colors she used on me. And not to mention my hair...AMAZING. If you are looking for someone that can give you old Hollywood curls, she is your gal. She did them on myself, mom and sister ( both who are very picky) and we all LOVED them. Elizabeth was an absolute dream to work with and cannot recommend her enough. I am looking forward to an occasion I can book her again for! -

If you are looking for a hair and makeup stylist who actually listens to you, is amazingly creative, highly organized, has a rockin' team of stylists, communicative, personable, and a calm presence on your wedding day...Elizabeth is your gal!
I was introduced to Elizabeth by a very dear friend. I had been voicing my concerns about finding a stylist for my wedding day as I hadn’t had great experiences with updos and professional makeup in years past. I always felt like the makeup was way too heavy and the hair didn’t fit my style. In my day-to-day life I am very simple when it comes to hair and makeup. I usually straighten or lightly curl my hair, or tie it up in a loose bun. My makeup routine consists of a light foundation, blush, mascara, and a neutral eyeshadow - some light eyeliner and lipstick for a night out. When I envisioned my wedding look, I knew I wanted to look beautiful, and my hair and makeup to last all night, but I also wanted to look and feel like myself.
Elizabeth styled my hair for my [now] husband’s work holiday party. This was our first meeting and she did not disappoint! I explained my vision for the night, we chatted like old friends, and within an hour she was done! She styled my hair beautifully in some simple waves, and it lasted literally all night. I immediately booked her for my wedding!
When considering the packages she offers, I would HIGHLY recommend the package that includes a trial. This was such a fun experience and made me feel VERY confident in my look leading up to my wedding day. When I arrived to Elizabeth’s salon, we chatted for probably 20 minutes about what I envisioned for my hair and makeup. I brought some pictures of styles I liked, and she helped me think through what would look best based on my dress, wedding venue, hair style and skin tone, and so on. Throughout the trial we talked a lot about what I liked and didn’t like and at no point in time did she take anything personally when I asked to change something. I left the salon 100% ‘feeling myself’ and asked my hubby to take me out for a date night because I felt so beautiful.
On the day of my wedding, Elizabeth and her team were an absolute dream to work with and be around. They arrived on time, began setting up their space while casually and comfortably chatting with the bridal party, and then got to work. Elizabeth had a wonderful schedule and system. Ladies moved through hair and makeup seamlessly and efficiently, and the whole team was so kind when someone wanted a touch up or slight tweak to their style. Elizabeth was exceptionally sweet with my mom and mother-in-law and went above and beyond to make sure they felt pampered and beautiful. Elizabeth and team saved me for last - because of the trial it was wonderful to sit down, not say a word about my look, but just chat and reflect on the big day. Elizabeth finished my hair and makeup and it was exactly as we had talked about. I felt beautiful, confident, and most of all myself, and I couldn’t wait to put on my dress and see my soon-to-be husband.
Elizabeth is hands down the best hair and makeup stylist I have ever worked with and I highly recommend her for your special event or wedding day needs. She will make you feel and look beautiful! -

OMG! ELIZABETH! I love her so so so much! She made my mom feel like a queen, and my two bridesmaids look amazing! None of them have ever had professional hair or make up, and she made the expectations so high if anyone every does their hair and make up again! I could not be move thankful to have found Elizabeth, and will be using her again and again whenever I need make up or hair. Thank you for all of the laughs, and making me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world.
Oh it also took THREE make up wipes to get my make up off after 5 hours of dancing in a HOT venue!! -

Elizabeth is an absolute joy to work with. On my wedding day, I had 14 ladies that needed to get their hair and makeup done. She took on the task, gathered her AMAZING team (Jeneah, Sarah, and Kori), created a detailed schedule, and executed it flawlessly! Each and every person looked and felt beautiful. There was absolutely zero stress which is all I could ask for on our wedding day. I even get the honor of having her do my hair and makeup a second time, but this time as a bridesmaid. I cannot recommend Elizabeth enough. She is simply the best! -

Liz was absolutely amazing! I booked her for my wedding day and would recommend her to anyone else in a heartbeat. She was very flexible with being able to travel to me for the trial and day of my wedding. I booked airbrush for both my sisters and I, as well as bridal hair for myself, and got so many compliments. She was so knowledgeable on different hairstyles and was helpful in helping me choose what would look best. I had a few options I couldn't decide from, and the one we ultimately chose together was beautiful. Everything hair and makeup was PERFECT and priced very reasonably! -

Elizabeth and her team did SUCH a beautiful job on hair and makeup on our wedding day! My mom, aunt, sister, bridesmaids, and I all looked stunning and I got so many compliments that day and after the fact, especially on the beautiful braided half-up hairstyle she did on me. Elizabeth is such a sweetheart, and goes above and beyond to help her brides: she drove all the way from Tacoma to Seattle to meet me at my place on a Friday afternoon because that's the only time I could sneak out of work for my hair/makeup trial. I asked for more natural makeup with a dramatic lip, as well as a cool half-up/half-down hairstyle, and was so happy with her work! Stunning and long lasting
Elizabeth did my hair and makeup and did the makeup for my 3 bridesmaids while her assistant did the hair for my bridesmaids and mother. Elizabeth did a practice run on me in advance of the wedding and day of came prepared to make me look absolutely stunning. I did the airbrush makeup and it turned out AMAZING! She achieved the perfect glamorous but natural look I was wanting! We did outdoor photo shoot session before the ceremony and my hair and makeup looked flawless from the first photo to last (after sunshine, tears, hugs, laughter and lots of dancing). Elizabeth is flexible, easy going and great to work with. I’d hire her again in an instant!!! -

She was able to come to my apartment for the hair and makeup trial, and then her whole team came out to the hotel room to beautify the bridal party. She did so many things to take stress out of my life - like bringing all the of fake lashes for our group! I felt like I was just chatting as a friend as she beautified me. I highly recommend her services, and I hope to have an event to hire her for again! -

From our first email exchange to the wedding day, she was extremely professional, communicative and downright fun to work with. She truly listens to what you want and somehow makes you look 10 times better than you could have ever imagined! She is a perfectionist, and won't let you leave her chair until you're completely in love with every aspect of your look. For example, I'm pretty self conscious about my skin due to acne scarring, and I was worried about my scars showing through and my makeup wearing off during the night. Elizabeth worked her magic to achieve the perfect level of coverage for me and made my skin look better than ever....I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! Through all the tears, hugs and dancing both my hair and makeup looked flawless all night!! And then there's her pricing...her rates are the most reasonable I've seen!!! I love that she includes a trial run in each of her packages, and that she doesn't require a bunch additional people in your party to get services in order to book her. She is just a blast to work with! You'll feel like you want to be her friend after just 2 minutes of meeting her. My bridal party couldn't stop talking about how fun and funny she was when we were all getting ready on the wedding day...it was like she was one of the gals! Basically, you can't get better than Elizabeth. Just book her...I guarantee she'll make you feel like the best version of yourself!!!

Not with Elizabeth! I worked with her for a styled shoot and she was one of the first to show up, had everything done within the time frame set and was fun to be around! Plus, her makeup skills are absolutely amazing.

In short, hair extensions and the day of wedding artistry services did not meet expectations. I voiced my concerns to Elizabeth. She was dismissive during both encounters and not receptive to requests for correction. I would not recommend Elizabeth White Artistry for important events where attention to detail and quality matter.
Extensions:
I wanted to add volume with a great color match. Elizabeth asked for pictures of my hair in advance to match my hair color. I drove 4.5 hours round trip from Renton to her Sedro-Woolley (near Mt. Vernon), WA salon where she promised to have an appropriate selection of extensions to color match.
Elizabeth put blonde hair extensions in my brown hair. I was shocked by the color and asked why she didn’t put matching extensions in my hair. She dismissed my concerns and said that the blonde extensions ensured the ends wouldn’t look “too heavy”. I asked her how long my hair would be partially blonde and she said that if I didn’t like the extensions to wash my hair a lot. She said that they should last 6 weeks. I’ve been washing my hair almost daily for 13 weeks and my extensions show no signs of coming out. In hindsight this causes me to question the quality of products used. A week before a big event did not leave adequate time to fix bad extensions, without damaging my hair, so I accepted them.
Bridal Hair and Makeup Trial Run:
Despite the color mismatch on the hair extensions, I loved the trial look for my hair style and makeup. At this appointment Elizabeth was collaborative and made me feel I had made a great choice in contracting with her for wedding day services. This trial run gave me a natural look with very little eye liner, and soft, well blended makeup.
Bridal Hair and Makeup Wedding Day:
Day of hair styled by Elizabeth did not match the trial run. I had not authorized any changes and expected she would replicate the trial run style on the day of the wedding. For example, in my trial run we put my hair up in the front so that it was away from my face; on the day of my wedding she left several strands hanging down to frame my face. To add insult to injury, those strands didn’t hold their curl through the wedding.
Day of makeup left me with makeup that was smudgy and cakey, a harsh demarcation line on one cheek, and much thicker, unnatural, eye liner.
For both the hair and makeup, I pointed out concerns and asked for corrections. In response Elizabeth became rude and defensive. She attempted to tone down the eye makeup, and blend the harsh makeup line on my cheek, then said she couldn’t do much more to fix it without starting over. Because of scheduling time constraints starting over was not possible. I was so upset by the final look that I excused myself to the restroom. While fighting back tears, I realized I had to make a choice whether to advocate for what I was promised (and be late to my wedding) or accept that Elizabeth didn’t deliver. I chose to accept that she didn’t deliver what she promised.
Bridesmaids Hair and Makeup:
Elizabeth’s associate, Siera, came to the Renton salon the day of the wedding, to complete hair and makeup for my bridesmaids. Both loved their hair and makeup looks and Siera was able to provide helpful suggestions about products that proved very useful. Thank you for doing such a great job, Siera!
Cost:
Elizabeth's prices are high for the quality received, and she unapologetically overcharged $150. Her price sheet states:
• “Bridal on-site hair + air brush makeup + trial run (includes lashes): $500”
• “Bridal hair extensions: $300 and up”
I didn’t need on-site (at the wedding venue) services or lashes, and communicated with Elizabeth directly to get an accurate cost estimate based on these facts. After we spoke for the first time, she sent me this estimate: “The price for your tape ins does depend on how much hair you will need. However I can give you a average guestimate is 300.00 plus installation is 150.00, so a total of 450.00. Then bridal hair and air brush makeup for the day is 350.00. Your two additional ladies are 175.00 each so all together would be 700.00.”
The day of my wedding she refused to honor her estimate “bridal hair and air brush makeup for the day is 350.00” and instead charged me the $500 price that included the lash and on-site services I didn’t utilize. Day of services were received at her salon space in Renton.
