Just what we wanted

My husband and I were not looking for the staged photos, we wanted a photographer that was able to capture not only the essence of the wedding ceremony, but also the essence of those who were attending the wedding and reception. Elizabeth worked with us ahead of time to understand what we hoped for. We walked through the space and the ceremony and Elizabeth delivered exactly what we hoped for. Yes, we had the staged family photos, but the ones that we love the most are the moments that she caught all along the day. These are the photos we hoped we would get and the ones that we cherish the most.

Wedding photography

We worked with Elizabeth for our wedding celebration in Los Angeles. We wanted to document our wedding with candid and authentic moments, which she did perfectly! Amazing photos and video of our wedding

Elizabeth did a great job for us! She is very professional and personable and we enjoyed having her part of our special day. She captured the ceremony with outstanding photographs from all angles and all the great fun moments of our reception. She has great experience and it shows. Her husband Adam did the video and we are so pleased on how that turned out.

Elizabeth was so easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable. She listened to what we were looking for and totally delivered. We facetimed before we signed our contract and knew it was the right fit. We did engagement pictures and she was very flexible about where/when we did them- accommodating our schedule. She gave us good direction and took really cool shots from all different angles. Then, before the wedding we spoke a few times about schedule and family shots. She arrived early and was able to take a few extra shots for us! Throughout the day she was so flexible and made sure we got all the shots I had scheduled. She worked well with my husband and I and then worked very well with our big groups. All my guests raved about how lovely, and sweet she was. We got the pictures back in a few weeks and we couldn't be happier with the results! Elizabeth was a perfect wedding photographer!

Elizabeth was amazing to work with! My husband and I knew she was what we wanted from the start. I sent emails out to about 5 photographers and she was the only one to personally reach out to me. Elizabeth Solaka is absolutely incredible, and I cannot recommend her enough!
She is so sweet and quite funny, and we got along incredibly! (Which is important - you spend a lot of the day with your photographer!)
Elizabeth is so incredible at catching the little moments that are full of such genuine emotion. We just got our photographs back from her, and looking through them is such an incredible joy!
In addition to being an awesome person to spend a day with, and an incredible photographer, she is also extremely professional and speedy! We were super worried that we would spend our whole day taking photographs, and Elizabeth made sure we were good to go on all the necessary family portraits in what felt like lightning speed!
When all is said and done, your photographer is one of the most important wedding planning decisions you make, since in the end it's the photographs you have left to remember the day / night. Elizabeth was incredible to work with, and we are so pleased with the results. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer, and cannot recommend her enough!

We were so lucky to work with Elizabeth for our wedding. From the beginning she was friendly and easy to work with. She was so calm and on point throughout the whole process. She offered her advice when issues arose before the wedding and the day off she was incredibly professional. She was able to capture every moment from start to finish. I don’t know how she did it. The formal shots were lovely, but the candid shots were why we hired her (and she didn’t disappoint). We received the photos within only a couple of weeks of our wedding and absolutely love them! Hire her.

I just got my pictures back from Elizabeth and they are amazing! She is so incredibly talented.

From the moment we first connected she was always responsive and open to all different kinds of ideas for photos. The day of the wedding she completely blended in. There were pictures I saw that I didn't even know she was in the area to take. She has such a great personality and she blended right into the family while we were all getting ready and she made everyone feel so comfortable. She was also so patient and flexible with other people at the wedding trying to sneak in and take photos while she was getting her shots and she easily worked around them. She just really brought a great spirit with her to the wedding and it shows in her beautiful photos. My husband and I are thinking of what we might want to do for our first anniversary and if photos are to be taken, we would definitely want to work with her again.

If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding my husband and I highly recommend Elizabeth Solaka Photography. Elizabeth was extremely professional and responsive when working with her, but most importantly she delivered beautiful photos. Your wedding day will go by so fast, that the pictures are one definite way you can relive and remember the entire night. Elizabeth did exceptionally well considering the length (9 hours) and size (225 guests) of our wedding, regardless of these numbers she captured everything and everyone. We are beyond happy that Elizabeth was out photographer and we will be recommending her to all of our friends and family.

I could gush about Elizabeth for days! We chose her for many reasons: her generosity, flexibility, her enthusiasm, her impressive portfolio, and her ability to capture quiet, honest, spontaneous moments. We booked Elizabeth for our engagement photos, and were thrilled with the whole experience! Elizabeth was extremely flexible with planning and was very responsive. We wanted weekend pictures in the snow, and she worked with us and Mother Nature to make sure we got the perfect atmosphere. We took our engagement photos at a local college, and she was very professional and respectful of the students in the library, where we were able to get great indoor shots. The outdoor photos were gorgeous! She was able to work well with the lighting and the snow, and switched out her equipment easily to optimize the shot. Elizabeth made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is no easy task. Our smiles were genuine, and our candid shots were great. To top it all off, her pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Elizabeth for engagement and wedding photography!

Choosing Elizabeth as our wedding photographer was a no brainer. From the second we met with her we had a great connection and felt that she understood our wedding vibe and who we were as a couple. For both our engagement session and our wedding photos Elizabeth was professional while also making all of us feel comfortable, and have fun. Leading up the wedding she was in contact with me and I felt that she really became such a big part of our special day. When I called Elizabeth I was concerned she would turn us down because our wedding was on New Year's Day; and who wants to work on a holiday! Elizabeth was more than willing to assist us and didn't try to schedule our 4:00 PM event earlier in the day too! She is a very personable person with whom to work. From our first contact her sincerity to do what was best for us was very strong, including kinds of photos, possible locations for photos, length of time, cost, etc. She was very open to options and possibilities. On the day of our wedding she arrived early; and from the moment of her arrival was very personable and showed herself to be an extremely accomplished photographer. Her use of background lighting and outdoor scenery, including architecture truly enhanced the finished product. We were very pleasantly surprised (but not really knowing what a great photographer she is) to see beautiful photographs of our event which subsequently many others praised too! Elizabeth is just a wonderful person and fantastic professional photographer.

Elizabeth was the perfect wedding photographer! From our very first phone call to receiving the final photos, Elizabeth has been an absolute joy to work with. She was incredibly responsive during the whole year leading up to the wedding and answered every question that we had. Elizabeth made us feel comfortable during our engagement photo shoot and took charge the day of the wedding to ensure we got all of the many shots we had requested. She also was willing to take photos lying on the ground of a park to get the best possible angles of us. The way she captured the light during November was beautiful! My groom and I are not the most photogenic but you would never know it looking at the pictures that Elizabeth took! One of the pieces of advice you're always given for a wedding is, "find a good photographer." Elizabeth is beyond a good photographer, she is incredible. We recently received our wedding photos from Elizabeth and they are absolutely stunning. She captured so many small, beautiful moments as well as the main events. The whole experience of working with Elizabeth is everything we could have wanted and much more. Elizabeth herself was absolutely a delight before and during the wedding. She spent the time to really get to know us as a couple, and to understand what we wanted for the night. We had a great time meeting with her to set up the initial contract and to plan our wedding photos. She has such a warm personality and is so easy to talk to. By the time the wedding came, we were nothing but excited to spend the day with such a lovely person. On day of she took full advantage of our venues to get some great shots, and her candid shots came out wonderfully. She loves what she does and has a true talent for capturing beautiful moments, it definitely shows in the photos – we couldn't be happier.

My husband and I would give Elizabeth 10 stars if we could. She truly did an amazing job and we spent like we were celebrating with a family member (who also happened to take incredible photos!)

Elizabeth was recommended to us through a mutual friend and we are so happy we decided to have her photograph our wedding in NYC. Leading up to our wedding in September we got to know each other through Skype and our engagement portrait session. Elizabeth captured us perfectly in every capacity, stopping at areas she thought may be a good background or where the light would be best. We were blown away by our engagement photos and then when we finally saw our wedding photos we were over the moon with the various shots capturing the venue, the decorations, the ceremony and everyone having a great time dancing. Elizabeth was always silently nearby but willing to climb on furniture or do whatever it took to get the perfect shot and we really appreciated it. We also splurged for the video footage and Elizabeth's counterpart, Adam was awesome. I loved how Elizabeth and Adam didn't just take pictures, they got to know us and our personality (which was silly at times). We have a lot of traditional pictures but they caught some really fun moments like when my sisters we're getting their heels stuck in the grates on the sidewalk near the venue. We would definitely recommend Elizabeth and Adam and would hire them in an instant for any other upcoming special occasions we have in the future.

Elizabeth did an absolutely wonderful job photographing my wedding! I know my review is a little late but it is important that I let brides-to-be know that she is a perfect choice if you want gorgeous and heartfelt photos that capture all your special moments. I wanted lots of candid shots that showed love, laughter, and happiness, and that is exactly what I got, plus more. She was very professional and engaged throughout the pre-wedding process, did wonderful engagement shots for us, and was very amenable to our needs and wants. A lot of photography vendors try to sell you on their services, but Elizabeth is the real deal. She has the gift and the "eye." My grandmother looked through all the pictures and said "there's not a bad picture in here"--and she's absolutely right. Whenever I look at my photos I can't help but smile and laugh because my big day was captured beautifully.

My husband and I could not have been more pleased with any other photographer than Elizabeth for our wedding. From the initial meeting with her we knew immediately that she was the right photographer for us...we actually made the decision within 5 minutes of meeting her because of her kind and relaxed personality. To say that we were pleased with the pictures would be an understatement. Some of the pictures she took were among the prettiest we have ever seen, as she knows how to blend nature and artistry in a very unique way. We also met with her to do engagement pictures and my husband and I scoured the place ahead of time and were sure that we picked the best spots. However, Elizabeth found a little romantic nook out of the corner of her eye (which we never would have thought of) that turned out to be the perfect engagement picture, better than anything we could have planned. She does a great job encouraging spontaneity, which results in her pictures having an incredibly natural feel.

All of our guests LOVED her as our photographer and said that our engagement/wedding pictures were some of the most beautiful, and of the highest quality, that they had ever seen. Her easy-going nature led us to feel as though she wasn't just our photographer, rather a member of the family, as my husband's mother was raving about her for weeks after the wedding.

Do yourself a favor and hire her as your wedding photographer, you will not be disappointed!!!

Elizabeth photographed our wedding 10 years ago, and we couldn't be happier with our photos. She truly captured the "feel" of our wedding day, & of course, the photos of my husband and I are gorgeous, but my favorite part was how she blended in with our guests and captured them looking so relaxed and happy... candid, but still the most beautiful (& REAL!) versions of themselves. We still have our wedding photos hanging throughout our home & people still stop to look at them & compliment is on them. I wish Elizabeth lived closer to our family so she could photograph our kids, now, too! Excellent photographer, very professional, with a friendly, laid-back personality. You won't be disappointed!

I can't say how happy i am that i found Elizabeth!!!!!!! First of all i called her days before the wedding, we were eloping and the venue was outside. Based on the weather, the date of the elopement was not concrete. This was something that was so difficult to try to accommodate! Elizabeth was so attentive to our fluctuating dates, and made me feel at ease that she would make things work. This is something every bride needs on her wedding day! The day of the wedding there was no chance of rain as indicated by the local weather channels. To my surprise 10 mins after i arrived to the venue to get ready, it started pouring rain! As my heart sunk, in walked in Elizabeth. She helped me take my mind off of the rain and started taking pictures of me getting ready. Assuring me she thought the rain would pass, helped me put a smile on my face :) To make a long story short ... also bec i am running out of room to write! I highly recommend Elizabeth, she was AMAZING! Very professional, flexible beyond belief, extremely reasonable pricing, and very personable. As for the photo's .... they all came out AMAZING !!!! She did such a wonderful job capturing the precious moments. The venue was outside and she has a talent in incorporating the natural features which compliment photos so well! Elizabeth is highly recommended and i will be contacting her for future events!

Elizabeth was exactly what we needed on our wedding day! She was calm, always smiling and yet was able to catch all our special moments without feeling like we had to stop and take "pictures". Our guests even mentioned how nice and accommodating she was!!!

So we had a great time with her on our wedding day, and then the pictures came back...and we loved reliving our wedding day through her photography. She was able to capture little things that we weren't able to see because of being busy doing "wedding stuff". There were great pictures of family and friends and food and fun.

Thank you so much Elizabeth, for making our special day all that much more special!

Elizabeth photographed my wedding and also did an engagement session with us, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. First of all, I was thrilled with our photos. I had an unnecessary freak-out on our honeymoon because I realized I forgot to tell her to get all of these shots that I wanted. When I came back and got our photos, I found that she had gotten absolutely everything I was hoping for, and even more. I think she's particularly strong with portraits- I loved so many shots of my husband and me, but also of all of our guests and their kids. The quantity was great too, tons and tons to choose from. Secondly, she's just really great to work with. Super responsive, sweet, and communicative- definitely one of our favorite vendors.

Elizabeth did such an amazing job with our photos!
All of the photos really captured "us" as a couple and the personalities of our guests. It brings a smile to my face every time I flip through the picutres. I loved the candid shots so much, they are what make up the majority of my wedding album.
She was very easy to work with and worked hard to get me my edited photos before I moved shortly after my wedding, which I am very thankful for! I absolutely recommend meeting with Elizabeth for your event, you will love working with her.

I had the hardest time finding a photographer that I was comfortable with, but then i found Elizabeth! She was AMAZING! so extremely professional and took Beautiful pictures that I will treasure for a lifetime. She took gorgeous natural and posed photos, and caught many special moments without being intrusive. She has a sweet disposition and a soft friendly voice, she made this stressful time much easier. We feel extremely lucky to have had Elizabeth as our wedding photographer on a very short notice. She is an amazing photographer with a great eye for details. We loved every single photograph from our wedding. Apart from her obvious talents behind the lens what made her so special to work with was her professionalism, friendliness and warm personality. She went out of her way to account for our tight budget and even presented us with a beautiful high-end leather bound album when we were very happy with the regular one. From the very first phone call to the very last email every interaction with her was enjoyable and productive. You would definitely feel lucky to have Elizabeth create memories for your special occasions.

Elizabeth was such a pleasure to be around and work with. She did a wonderful job of capturing the special moments of our wedding day. After seeing the photos she took of our engagement, we had complete confidence and trust in her skills -- but we could not have imagined how awesome she would be on the day of.

Not only is she extremely talented, but a total pro. She has a lot of experience and knew just what to do. She was prompt, prepared, and began photographing almost right away -- without being obtrusive, and made us all feel very comfortable at ease. This is coming from someone who doesn't like to have their picture taken!

Overall, we loved having Elizabeth as our photographer, she was so much fun and a great addition to our day. We have so many beautiful pictures, our only problem is going to be having to choose which ones to use!

I've never been much of a model for pictures, more of a picture taker actually. However, for the first time in my life, I'm happy to say I'm proud to be in the photographs! Elizabeth captures moments, emotions, and the beauty inside and out. In one particular photo, the love between my husband and I is so apparent that I tear up just thinking about it.

Elizabeth immediately picked up on my discomfort in being the model for pictures. She took charge, making sure that everything was organized, and preceded to make the bridal party laugh. This resulted in gorgeous photos!

In summation, we all loved her and I kept getting compliments about her throughout the night. I thought it was great because I didn't know she took most of the pictures that turned out best. With her sunny disposition and professional approach, we can't help but highly recommend her!

I can't say enough about how wonderful Elizabeth was before the wedding, during the wedding, after the wedding - ALL THE TIME! We love our pictures - Elizabeth made us feel at ease like she was part of the family and I loved it. I will definitely use her over and over again, for babies and family pictures in the future. Elizabeth was professional throughout the entire day and gave us literally hundreds of beautiful pictures. My favorites though were when she managed to capture really loving moments between my husband and I when we thought no one was paying attention. She is not your run of the mill photographer. Her pictures tell a story and showcase her beautiful, unique perspective. She had great suggestions for making some of the posed pictures seem more natural which also made them more flattering to both of us. I hope to never marry again but if I do - I will be booking Elizabeth to photograph it.

My husband and I met with several photographers before ultimately hiring Elizabeth Solaka to photograph our NYC wedding at St. Patrick's Cathedral. After meeting with her in person and reviewing her pictures, we knew we wanted to have Elizabeth photograph our wedding. While staged pictures with fancy filters done in post-production are nice to look at, we wanted our pictures to tell the honest truth, that allowed us to relive the raw emotion of our wedding day. That is exactly what Elizabeth delivers in her photography. Elizabeth's unobtrusive way of working allowed her to capture us and our guests "in the moment." The smiles, tears and laughs are all genuine and I cannot thank her enough for sharing her talent and artistry with us on such an important day of our lives.

From the very first email, Elizabeth was helpful, understanding and responsive. Aside from being a talented photographer, she is also such a caring and wonderful person and after all these months of back-and-forth emails I feel as though she is now a friend. On our wedding day, she was professional and remained calm, even with the fast-paced bustle of NYC (we took pictures in Times Square)!

We have had the digital copies of our pictures for a few weeks now, and we literally have thousands of beautiful photos that we have looked through over and over again. We click through each picture in sequential order and relive every moment of our day. At each click, we smile, laugh and cry, many times wondering how she was able to capture such images. Choosing pictures for our wedding album is proving to be a daunting task because of her amazing work. My husband and I feel so fortunate to have discovered Elizabeth among the many wedding photographers in NYC. There are many difficult decisions to make when planning your wedding, but if I can help you with one of them, it would be this: Have Elizabeth photograph your wedding. You won't regret it.

To say that I was impressed with Elizabeth's photography would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! She was incredibly easy to work with and my wedding pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous! We wanted to find a photographer that would take risks and play around with poses and pictures. Elizabeth is extremely creative with her photography and we literally had thousands of pictures to choose from! She captured every moment perfectly, I feel like I relive the whole day when I look through them. Elizabeth was our wedding photographer and the entire experience from start to finish was a complete joy. The quality and style and beauty of the photos way exceeded our expectations. Elizabeth captured the spirit of the event and the personality of our guests and the joy we felt!

It would have been enough that the photos were so amazing, but here's the other thing about Elizabeth: she is such a delight to have as part of the event! She truly brought a peacefulness and calm with her! Sometimes when I'd be feeling nervous or over-excited, just seeing her made me feel at ease! My guests told me they felt the same way.

If you're looking for the same-ole, same-ole event shots, don't hire Elizabeth. Sure, she can take great posed shots as well as anyone. But if you want original, full-of-soul, spirited shots that truly convey the heart of the event, than she is the photographer for you!

I never ever tire of looking at the photos from our wedding because they are still so alive, even now, years later!

We love our photos, and really enjoyed having Elizabeth at the wedding. My sister tells me that the best pictures she has of _her_ husband and children are from our wedding photos. My wife's side of our family is Japanese, and we had a mixed-tradition ceremony with Japanese elements like a change of clothes and a "kagami-biraki" sake drum. Elizabeth did a wonderful job of capturing all of these moments as well as the personality and celebratory spirit of the event.

Elizabeth Solaka photographed my wedding at the New York Botanical Garden and I cannot sing enough praises of her creative talent, professionalism and personal approach. My (now) husband and I immediately felt comfortable with her and never felt as if we were being “sold”—a common occurrence in the “business” of weddings. She was willing to be flexible with her photography packages to accommodate our budget and never compromised on quality. On the day of the wedding, Elizabeth knew instinctively how to direct my family for the best pictures, but also when to step back to capture many special spontaneous moments. Elizabeth’s turn-around with getting the pictures back to us was nothing short of astonishing (and there were more than 2,000 images!) and her eye for personal and beautiful moments has made reviewing the photos so much fun. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

If you are looking for a professional and "easy to work with" photographer, make sure to contact Elizabeth Solaka. She has the patience of an angel and is VERY professional. I just had a chance to look at my wedding photos and I have to say that she did an AMAZING job. She's especially good at capturing the candid shots, which might be my favorites. Elizabeth was the most amazing photographer I could have asked for! I came across her randomly on this website and she was the first and only photographer I met with. I could not have been happier with the photos from my wedding - for someone who is usually completely unphotogenic, Elizabeth captured how beautiful I felt.

I was also thrilled that she managed to take such unique and non-"cookie cutter" photos. She would take our picture in unlikely places in New York where I couldn't envision how the picture would turn out, but they were amazing. She has such a good eye for how to make a wedding picture both beautiful and also interesting.

Finally, I have to say how genuine and sweet Elizabeth was - I only spoke with her a few times before my wedding but I felt like she truly cared about making my pictures special and she felt like a friend by the time the day was over. Wedding pictures can be a little funny if you aren't used to being photographer, but she made sure to quickly put me at ease so I could look my best.

As an English girl getting married in NYC finding vendors for my wedding was quite daunting, but I saw Elizabeth's art work and completely fell in love with it. She didn't let me down. Her photos were beautiful. We worked together to make sure

Elizabeth is a wonderful photographer with amazing professional skills. Her knowledge in the field enabled her to capture perfect pictures of us and the moments of our wedding day,we found her through our friends and we were assured our choice was right. She came very early on the venue, managed to do all the chores so there was nothing we had to worry about. The photographing session was enjoyable and we felt never bored. My husband and I feel very lucky to have found Elizabeth; she was the perfect person to take our wedding photos (in August 2009). Elizabeth has a really nice demeanor and got really great close ups of our wedding guests without them even noticing her. I don't know how she manages to be so unobtrusive. She also really captures people on camera; we have a wonderful collection of photographs of our family and friends (as well as ourselves). Elizabeth is very dependable and punctual; I cannot recommend her more highly. We absolutely love our wedding photos!

My husband and I were married over five years ago. I still LOVE looking at our wedding photos.
We had a Christmas wedding, so there weren't opportunities for outdoor shots, but Elizabeth did a fantastic job of taking gorgeous indoor shots.
My favorite thing about her was that she followed us throughout the day, capturing the day, without distracting us from enjoying ourselves. I really didn't want to spend my wedding day talking to a photographer and posing for photos, and she truly respected that wish. My only regret is that I didn't let her take more posed shots of just the two of us. She was so kind, fun, and friendly.
The quality of her work is wonderful and I wish she was still in Michigan to photograph our children!

Elizabeth and her assistant, Karl, were such a wonderful addition to our wedding. From the beginning of the planning process, we felt that she really saw us as the people we are. She was able to catch so many exquisite moments on that day and every photo seems to have a life of it's own- magic and energy in everyone's faces. She was extremely accommodating and generous with her time- coming all the way to Brooklyn to hand deliver the photos. Many guests commented on how wonderful our photographer was (both looking at the photos and just her presence on that day.) She was professional and very reasonably priced- even correcting an oversight after the fact, which was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Elizabeth. We were so fortunate to find her!

Elizabeth was the last photographer that I interviewed. As soon as I met her and viewed her book, there was no doubt in my mind that she was the one. She captured the day exactly the way I had asked. I did not want a lot of posed shots. Our wedding was small and I wanted her photos to tell the story of our marriage and family celebration. I could not have been happier with the outcome. I look at the photos and they take me back to that day.

To give you an idea of her character and commitment. She personally flew to Michigan to photograph our wedding. I wish Elizabeth lived in Michigan as she would be my first choice for photos of my children and of our family as we grow older. I would not hesitate to refer her to a friend.

I have utilized Elizabeth's services personally (headshots) and professionally (I work for an advertising agency). What makes Elizabeth's photography so wonderful is her ability to truly capture the essence and personality of her subjects. If I were getting married, I could not imagine hiring anyone else but Elizabeth. She's just that good. I've worked with many photographers throughout my 20 years in the ad business and Elizabeth is by far the most talented photographer I've had the pleasure of working with. She's professional - an absolute joy to work with - a true collaborator.

Elizabeth photographed my Wedding in 2003
A caveat: I hate being photographed, and tend to make strange faces when I even see a camera. I have a bad habit twisting my face up in a strange way when I see a camera.

My wedding photos look like magazine photos, Elizabeth Solaka is an extremely talented Professional photographer. I loved my photos so much that I had her do family portraits- which were also fantastic.
The volume of wonderful candid photos was incredible, and she let me keep the negatives. Elizabeth has the special gift of taking photographs of folks in tender moments without their knowledge, in fact there were so many lovely moments I wondered if she had a lovely moment meeter that told her when and where something touching was happening. When people do notice her at work, she has an incredible way of putting people at ease, she just knows how to make people look great on film.
What was unexpected was that I looked amazing an so pretty in the photographs, both in the staged photos and the candids. This is where experience counts, she is intuitive and she had my number, and she hit the shutter when I was looking like my happy relaxed self, no faces.
I was happy to have someone outwit my natural inclination to give the camera the stink-eye!
If Elizabeth is avaliable, you will be lucky to have her photograph your wedding, everyone who looks at my wedding book comments on the amazing photography.
She has over 10 years of experience , and loads of talent and intuition.

Working with Elizabeth was an absolute dream. She has a very unique and artistic eye for taking beautiful pictures. Our wedding photos exceeded our best expectations! I have gotten so many compliments, people are so impressed. I don't usually love photos of myself so I was pretty nervous. She was so easy to work with, I felt really comfortable with her. She really captured the joyfulness of the day and the beauty of the spot we chose. I highly recommend her! I couldn't be happier with the results!

To start things out, Elizabeth swooped in a month and a half before our wedding after we decided that our original photographer just wasn’t going to work out. She completely took charge and our anxiety was diffused. She is so organized and has such attention to detail that we felt completely at ease in her hands. We were really tight for time, and we got married around the holidays, but Elizabeth went out of her way to meet with me—at work! It was so great to meet her and I really appreciated all of her efforts. A true testament to how much she cares about her brides and their individual weddings. A true contrast to the person we originally chose. Elizabeth is an absolute pleasure to work with—which was an extra bonus to her obvious talent with the camera and one of the qualities that drew us to her. She has a quiet presence and is just a genuinely nice person. She is respectful of your space but still able to capture small moments and candid shots that you might not get with another professional. We got married in December at a gorgeous barn/field and I really wanted pictures outside. It was freezing cold, but she didn’t skip a beat and even gave me her scarf at one point. Although I don’t know much about photography, I would say she is very true to her story-telling style, which was so great to help us re-cap the crazy events of the night. She was so quick to get our pictures and even put a collage together while we were still on our honeymoon. It was so wonderful to see so many of the pics so quickly and made us even more excited to see the album in its entirety. I would say if there are shots you really want to get, just speak up. Elizabeth is flexible and took so many photos of our night (1900!) that we have tons to look back on to remember the best night ever!

Sorry for giving this review after half a year of my wedding. Due to so many personal issues. :(

Elizabeth is really a kind-heart person. She gave us lots of help before wedding and of course a great help during the wedding.

Before wedding: She kept contacting with us even sometime we forgot contact with her. And she would answer all of your different questions with patience. That really made my work easier as you know only my husband and I planed the whole wedding. And she also recommended other vendors to us like DJ and videographer. We really appreciated it.

During wedding: Elizabeth went to my hotel one day early to meet my early wedding time. Then you didn't worry about whether your photographer would be stuck in the traffic. :) And she was really friendly to take photos wherever you went and whatever you want. We even had no idea she was taking pics for us and we felt very enjoyable.

And maybe you should be more creative then you can have more poses in the wedding pics. This is one part I think both Elizabeth and us are not creative too much. But we still like the pics. Here Thank You again very much.

Elizabeth went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with her style. She also made sure we got the pictures that we wanted. It was important to me to have pictures but not have someone in my face with a camera. Elizabeth's kind and gentle personality put me at ease on the day of my wedding. I knew I could trust her to get the pictures I wanted without being aggressive or pushy to me and my guests. My pictures were available to me before I even went on my honeymoon! Elizabeth enjoys what she does and it shows in her work.

Elizabeth was our wedding photographer ten years ago and I to this day couldn't be happier with the images and memories she captured. She was extremely flexible and willing to give us exactly what we wanted, which was a little bit of everything... Some black and whites, some color, some candid, some traditional. The pictures were all beautiful and working with her was such a pleasure. My whole family adored her! 10 years later if we were to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing. Our pictures are timeless and perfect. Thanks so much Elizabeth!

I am writing this review now because George, baby and I, just finished watching our wedding album slide show and it brought back the intensity of emotions, that day had for us and our guests.

After meeting with several wedding photographer that were good, I met Elizabeth over coffee to discuss possible hiring her. At once her professionalism, great personality and fresh artistic vision were apparent, and I knew she would be a great match for George and myself wedding. She was understanding, responsive and had a very positive energy during our preparation to the wedding. On the day of the special day she was everywhere, without anyone even noticing, as evident when looking back at the pictures our friends and ourselves always say “ how and when did she get that moment, did not even see her”. Her pictures are full of life and movement. The mood and atmosphere of the day and person, at that moment jumps off the page, in their unique space and time and they are forever alive.

I believe the testament to a great photo, is when looking back at them years after, they are as fresh and intense as the day you felt them. Having Elizabeth as our professional photographer was one of the best decision George and I have every made. We continue to enjoy our wedding day through her pictures. She exceeded our expectations and therefore we would highly recommend her as your professional photographer.

The wedding day was a beautiful but windy autumn day in Michigan. I wasn't sure if we would have to forego the outside shots even though the sky was gorgeous. Elizabeth found ways to capitalize on the beautiful, natural lighting and landscape and even inlcuded some whimsical shots of the bridal veil caught in the breeze. Nothing was lost on her keen eye. The sun streaming through gorgeous stained glass church windows, affectionate looks between loved ones, little boys waiting patiently in the church pew, the very proud father of the bride, the nervous groom, the bridal bouquet that had been casually set on a chair to free the bride for hugs and kisses, the stunning atrium of the Royal Park Hotel. It was all captured and the photos are stunning! And yet the photography seemed so unobtrusive. Elizabeth was extremely generous with her time and talent and we are forever grateful. Her approach to wedding photography as art is evident in these photos.

Elizabeth is a really wonderful choice for wedding photographer. It's a testament to her generosity and passion that she doesn't charge 3x what she does for the resume and quality that you get. We got hundreds of photos that are so beautiful--hard to pick our favorites! She is such a joy to be around personally as well. If you're like me and you might have important family members not where they need to be at moments when they need to be there (-_-), hire Elizabeth because she will still get the shots and you won't have to worry! She got wonderful candids at the reception and really created a collection of photos we can treasure.
