Elizabeth was phenomenal at making us feel comfortable taking photos together, both on our wedding day and for our engagement shoot. She was so kind, and got my husband (who HATES pictures) laughing and involved in our photos. I can’t say enough great things about her services. Our best wedding decision
I can’t say enough amazing things about Lizz. I booked Elizabeth Hoard Photography the week that I got engaged - before my venue - because I’ve loved her work forever and could not get married without her!
The joy that her work brought us is beyond words and her professionalism and positive energy is everything a bride could want during the wedding planning process. Lizz was the first person I went to when I needed a gut check on a wedding decision because she’s a PRO who cares so much about her clients!! We had her sidekick, Emily, as a second shooter - and together they are an absolute dream team. There’s no one better to have with you on your wedding day!!! They both held space for us to have all the big feelings and helped guide us through each moment of the day.
On top of all of that.. the talent and effort she put into our wedding album was just amazing. It was super important to us to have photography that reflected our day, instead of a set of posed shots, and that’s the philosophy that Lizz presented to us before we even asked. Easy, Fun, Natural Photos
Elizabeth could not have made the process easier or more fun but my favorite thing about taking photos with her was that it felt natural. I am the groom that doesn't want to take lots of photos. I hate posing for, I don't consider myself photogenic, and I don't often find myself taking photos of myself or with friends. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to standing around taking engagement / wedding photos. But I really appreciated how Elizabeth just hung out with us and had fun with us. She wasn't in a rush like many wedding related appointments. We cracked jokes, told stories, played some verbal games, and she just happened to capture it with a camera and give subtle feedback to setup great shots. For me, I love looking at the photos and seeing a genuine smile instead of just being told "smile". I highly recommend her and she was one of the best decisions we made with our wedding.

She Captured Magic
Me and my husband are the type of people that look good together in person but pictures make you question everything about us. Lol. We become apprehensive and feel that photos don't capture our feeling or personalities. We're also an interracial couple so the lighting usually doesn't reflect well either. I watched Elizabeth Hoard work at a friend's wedding. I then saw my friend's wedding pictures. I was OBSESSED!! Their magic, their love, their personality...EVERYHING was captured so perfectly and I knew that Liz's talent and vision was what I wanted for my wedding. Come the day of our wedding, I couldn't have asked for a more understanding, professional, and capable photographer. (These adjectives don't even begin to describe her.) She navigated the weather, the venue, the different emotions and personalities...Liz was as important as my wedding coordinator. Most importantly, taking photos wasn't burdensome or stressful. When we saw the final masterpiece...Liz captured things I didn't get to see and I didn't even remember. I'm still reviewing our pictures and I see something new and different everytime.Liz did an incredible job. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Amazing and fun!!

Elizabeth was very friendly and professional during our initial conversation and her communication throughout has been amazing. My husband and I were both nervous during our engagement session but that quickly went away as she has a knack for getting people to feel comfortable. She did more than just take photos, she provided an experience! (You’ll have to book her to find out what I mean!) We truly had the best time!! We loved how they turned out and knew wedding day would be no different. Her second photographer, Emily, is just as amazing! They went above and beyond on wedding day to not only make sure we had stunning photos but they ensured we were hydrated as well. That’s such a small detail that you don’t even think about. Truly Beautiful
While the planning of the wedding can take place over time (ours took approximately 2 years), the actual wedding day goes by in blur. You walk down the aisle, have some cake, hit the dance floor, and then you’re saying goodbye to your guests. Because of this, having pictures gives you the opportunity to look back at moments that went by too quickly or those you may have missed, and if they’re good, you truly can relive that time and that space. This is exactly what we got from Liz! When I first met her, I knew immediately that she was the one and she did NOT disappoint. You can look at samples of her work and see that she is absolutely amazing, so I won’t spend much time there because what I really want to talk about is her heart.
During our engagement shoot, Liz was so fun and relaxed! She was able to put us at ease and make us laugh; she even kept me calm when we were confronted by an unwelcomed guest. A few days before our 2021 New Year’s Eve wedding, my husband contracted COVID, and the world stopped for me! We still wanted to get married on this date, so we planned to quickly elope in a local park, socially-distanced from one another. Do you know who was there to capture this moment – Liz. When I realized that I’d left the marriage certificate at home and it needed a witness signature a few days later, guess who was there with a black ink pen – Liz! And during our wedding the following year, she was there with her assistant and captured some of the most beautiful moments I could ever image.
Getting married is a big deal and you want this day to be perfect, so choosing a photographer who produces beautiful work is important; however, it is important to choose a photographer who is beautiful as well. This is exactly who Liz is! She is gracious and kind, thoughtful and charismatic, and I cannot sing her praises enough! She will forever have a place in our hearts… and on our marriage license!

Professional, Intentional, Incredible, Where Do I Start?!
Truly not sure where to start with Elizabeth. She was recommended to me on my quest for someone who could shoot in a dark church. (Look at my photos to see how amazing she did with that, the photos speak for themselves.) From the first phone call we had I had a great feeling. I had already met with several photographers prior and was not getting good vibes or what I was looking for. Liz and I agreed to meet up and she had my mom and I convinced of her work in minutes. Fast forward to our engagement shoot, we had an incredible experience and she was able to get my husband out of his shell for some of my favorite photos of all time. For the wedding, Liz was calm, encouraging, went with the flow of the day. We got behind a few times due to other vendors and typical wedding day things and never once did she seem flustered or worried, she adjusted and kept it moving. She kept ME calm on my day. She took every photo we asked for, she took photos we never would’ve thought of. We have every moment captured from our day we could want and more. Beyond that, Liz has taken my maternity photos and will continue to take photos of my family for years to come. I have worked with several photographers via friends and other weddings and I continuously go back to Liz’s professionalism, respect to other vendors, ability to work with wedding parties and families. Liz is a gem in the world of photography. As a bride who wasn’t the most comfortable posing and hasn’t done lots of professional shoots, she made my fiancé and me feel so comfortable from our engagement session onward. Can’t say thank you enough to Lizz for giving us so many good memories of our day. She had the calmest voice, it really helped with nerves haha. Liz made our day all the more special. She took a crew of people that don’t particularly love the spotlight, especially of the camera variety and made us all so comfortable. The best choice in wedding photography!
I hate taking pictures. I find it incredibly awkward, but I still wanted my wedding photos to look like they were out of a magazine. Liz was amazing to work with. I loved how responsive she was and easy to coordinate with. She was very accommodating and helped me think through my wedding schedule. I was nervous to have professional photos taken, but she made the process so fun. My husband and I were thrilled with the end result and we received so many compliments from others.

Simply the best
Having Elizabeth shoot our wedding was the best decision we made during the entire planning process. She is professional, organized, accommodating, and insanely talented. She did both our engagement and wedding photos and we could not be not be happier with them! She made sure we were comfortable the whole time and made our wedding day stress free. Elizabeth is incredibly talented! Her pictures make anyone feel beautiful. That’s coming from someone who doesn’t always like having her picture taken. The lighting and tone of her photos are gorgeous. She is professional, timely, fun, and all around great! She captured our engagement and wedding, and I have no regrets! By looking at Liz's work, you can see the amazing photographer she is, but what you may not see (at first) is how much she cares about each client and shoot. It's just something about who she is as a person that relaxes you during a shoot. She brings out the best and most confident version of yourself that she captures beautifully. I've bought many services that did not meet my expectations, but Elizabeth Hoard Photography's services are not one of them. She far exceeded my expectations. My wife and I absolutely love our pictures and will cherish them forever! I highly recommend Liz and her services!

Truly the best!
Having Liz as our photographer was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. She made the entire process so easy from planning our engagement shoot to basically scheduling out our entire wedding day to capture all of the beautiful moments we have always dreamed of. Almost one year later, her photos bring so much joy to me and my husband, and we can still feel the excitement of the day. She truly captured the essence of who we were as individuals and as a couple. Everything felt so natural with her. 20/10 recommended!!

Elizabeth is a very caring and detailed photographer. She always strives for excellence and achieves it, too! Because of COVID we had 2 separate events, the wedding and the wedding celebration and we used Elizabeth for both events. She and her other photographer were amazing to say the least. Not only did they provide calmness to the bride, groom and mother-of-the-bride, but they created an environment of love and comfort. Elizabeth is very organized and helped lead situations that could have turned out negative to positive. Her eye to detail is incredible and her photography has given us memories that will last a lifetime. During chaos, she was calm!! She is a very high quality professional and now a great friend. I would definitely choose her again for BOTH of our events!

Lizz was by far the best photographer I have ever encountered. She and her assistant Emily were everywhere at all times. There is not a single photo that we wished we had gotten, one of them was there to capture every moment. My bone head husband shattered his arm and had to have surgery 48 hrs before the wedding. Lizz arrived early as she knew it would take a little longer to accomplish certain things.
Her professionalism and expertise were evident and the proof is in the proofs (see what I did there?) . Our wedding photos are everything that we could have hoped for and more. She truly cares about her couples and is a genuinely good person.

Lifetime Photographer!
Liz was the most amazing person to work with, our engagement shoot we were almost 45 minutes late for because we locked our car keys in our house and she was willing to wait until we got there and still made it the most incredible experience. For our wedding she was phenomenal and a pleasure to be around. She acted not just as a photographer but made sure my husband and I were eating, drinking water, and not wearing ourselves down. She was the best vendor I worked with for my wedding!

I knew I wanted to hire Elizabeth before I was even engaged!
I was a bridesmaids in a wedding that Liz was shooting and knew that when my big day finally came along that I wanted Liz to shoot my wedding too!! SIX years later, I was FINALLY able to book Liz for my wedding, never second guessing my decision. She was the first vendor that I hired and she helped me the entire process through. The way she captures our true selves is unlike any other! My now husband absolutely HATES taking pictures but with the help of Liz, i get genuine laughs and smiles. We could not have asked for a better photographer than Elizabeth. We were married in 2020 and Elizabeth was extremely flexible for all of our changes. She made our engagement session feel so natural and listened to exactly what we wanted. Seriously, we felt so nervous and awkward going into our engagement session and had no clue how these could turn out looking normal and natural but her amazing personality and humor made it feel perfect. We had actual laughs and she listened to what we wanted and made those ideas even better. Our wedding day pictures are perfect, she captured us and our family's personality perfectly. She is also extremely responsive and communicates where she is in the editing process and keeps you up to date on the timeline for your pictures.

Nothing But Praise
Arguably one of the most important details of your wedding day (Besides the venue) is the photographer, because the images last forever. My wife and I knew that this was where we wanted to prioritize finding the right photographer and paying the right price. Elizabeth exceeded all of our expectations and captured our day in the best possible way! From initial communication, negotiating prices and packages, engagement pictures, the big day itself, and every little detail inbetween - Elizabeth provided a 11/10 experience the entire way. I would also like to note that I am not a naturally photogenic person and I tend to dread photoshoots because I don't like how I appear. Not only did Elizabeth make it legitimately entertaining to participate in, but she captured memories that I have already spent hours looking at over and over again. And I can proudly share them on social media and know that I will have a lifetime to enjoy them with my wife! You can't possibly go wrong by hiring Elizabeth (and her amazing 2nd photographer if you want a second camera) to capture your big day and everything involved in the process!

She is Amazing!
Elizabeth listened to us from day one and created some of the most beautiful pictures for our wedding. We had to have a smaller ceremony and no reception but Elizabeth helped us have stunning pictures from both the ceremony and for a session after we were married. I highly recommend her because she made the day of so easy and effortless. I didn't have to think about where anyone was standing or if we were running on time because she had it all taken care of. If you are looking for someone who is hilarious, listens to you and takes gorgeous pictures she is the lady for you.

Elizabeth was the first vendor we solidified before even having a venue for our wedding. From the very beginning she was so attentive and supportive and went above and beyond to make sure that our day was perfect. Both our engagement and wedding day photos were featured on MunaLuchi and I think that is a testament to her work and integrity. My priority for wedding day was great photos and video so we could relive this moment for the rest of our lives. Worth EVERY penny. Liz came recommended from our wedding planner, and we're very happy we booked her. Not living in Memphis and planning our wedding from another city was complicated, but Liz made everything to do with photography very easy. Elizabeth was a joy to work with through every step of the process. Our photos were absolutely beautiful, and she incorporated our personalities and preferences perfectly!!!! And she's really effective with time - we had our sneaks by the time we had even gotten to our honeymoon the next day! LOVE her. I’m so happy Lizz fell in love with us because I can see it in her images. We are overwhelmed with how much fun everyone had and you can obviously tell they did from the photos Lizz and her team captured. She is such a talented professional and we love everything she did for us.
Her responsiveness was out of this world - she engaged quickly with us, wanting to know our favorite things and places; Lizz was patient - we had to wait for the rain to stop for several weeks before we could schedule an engagement shoot. She worked seamlessly with our planner to create a timeline that allowed us to go to the site of our first date on our wedding day, in my wedding gown! And she gushed over the details like I would have expected an old friend to do. We love her style, her incredible eye, and her personality.
It was really important to me that her previous work included multi-racial images since my husband is white and I am black and these pictures would live on far into the future. I wanted to know that she would be able to work through all lighting and with many shades of the beautiful people in my life. She blew us away with her talent. I hope every bride finds a photographer they adore like we found with Elizabeth Hoard photography.

My wedding album tells the story
Elizabeth was awesome to work with! I enjoyed each step of the process with her including being flexible with our first meeting, her responsiveness to all my questions, and the way she goes about getting incredible shots. I told her that the most important thing about my wedding was that it was for us to celebrate— meaning we wanted to party and that’s EXACTLY what was captured. I went through my album the the story of the day came out loud and clear. It also goes without saying that the photos were visually stunning! You won’t go wrong booking Liz, that’s for sure.

Elizabeth was the best choice we made for our wedding! She's incredibly talented. I don't know how she captures what she does, but her photos are amazing. Even more than that, she's so fun to work with. My husband and my Dad both commented on how great she was at the wedding. She was there to capture everything, yet somehow blended in at the same time. She's amazing at what she does, and has become a friend through the whole process. I've already recommended her to my best friend for her 2020 wedding!

Stunning work
We found Elizabeth to be highly professional, responsive, and pleasant to work with. Our son and daughter-in-law were married in Memphis two months ago ( October 2018). Elizabeth was our photographer for the entire weekend. She covered the rehearsal dinner, a post dinner party, the wedding ceremony as well as the reception, so she had to interact with both sets of families. It was refreshing to work with someone so accommodating and resilient considering the number of venues, occasions and locations she had to cover. Elizabeth was engaging yet unobtrusive throughout the many hours during which she captured nearly 2000 photos. Once we received the photos, we were amazed by the depth of the emotional intelligence conveyed through her stunning work. Nothing had escaped her gifted and artistic photographer’s eye, and many of her photos elicited an emotional response, whether it was tears or joyful laughter. We would highly recommend Elizabeth - without reservation - to anyone who is planning a special occasion and wishes to capture its most beautiful and tender life moments.

Incredible photographer!!
Elizabeth is just amazing. We worked with her for our engagement and wedding photos, and we loved every minute of it! She has an incredibly calming and warm demeanor that made us very comfortable given that both of us are camera shy. She was super flexible with our needs (she fit in a trip to NYC for our engagement shoot!) and also very open to feedback between the engagement and wedding photos (e.g. preferences on the type of photos we enjoy or light levels). Our wedding pictures are just flawless. Elizabeth has an amazing ability to capture very raw moments and tiny details that we now treasure looking back on. She is also incredibly responsive and transparent with aspects such as timelines for editing and opinions on wedding timeline/photography needs. We could not recommend her more!!!

Lizz is the best. My wife and I were very intentional on who we wanted to capture our love. We needed comfort, realness, and true artistry. Lizz gave us all of that and more. Let me just start off by saying, if she is available your day, BOOK HER!
But really, Liz Hoard is amazing. Not only is she a ultra fabulous photographer, but she is a gem! She’ll make you laugh until you cry, randomly produce a first aid kit when your shoes wear a blister on your heel, and boss your family around for you during post-wedding pictures. She is the calm, reassuring force that every bride needs. And the absolute best person to be behind the camera on your biggest days. You wanna talk price, ask her for a pricing sheet. Her packages are great. But if you wanna know her, her style, and why all of her clients, myself included, absolutely adore her, ask her to get coffee with you. She won’t disappoint!

Working with Lizz was the best and easiest decision we could have made throughout all of our wedding planning. Being a couple from out of town planning a wedding in Memphis, we were always on limited time, but Lizz helped us make it always work. From the first time we met to take our engagement pics, I knew that there was something special about her. We could not be more thrilled with all of our wedding pictures. I find myself constantly drooling over them on a daily basis. Lizz also helped us with our videographer, which was a total lifesaver. I sincerely cannot speak highly enough of Elizabeth Hoard Photography. She photographed both my engagement session and 9/2/18 wedding, and her work is simply amazing. She was responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process and made me feel at ease. We got our wedding sneak peak pictures back the day after the wedding and the results are stunning. I have received so many compliments on them and was told several times that I look like a movie star. Not only is her work phenomenal, but she made my husband and I feel at ease on our wedding day and made sure to give the two of us some alone time between the ceremony and the reception to be able to enjoy our day together. Seriously, where do we even begin. I loved having Lizz as our wedding photographer. Excellent communication, very professional and she kept us excited when the day (and our planning process) starting getting stressful. We LOVE our weddings photos, our experience with Lizz was AMAZING and I can't recommend her enough. We lost my father in law and my uncle six months after our wedding, our wedding photos are now invaluable treasures. I really don’t have adequate words to explain how amazing Lizz is. Yes, her photographs are unbelievable but she is also the type of person you want to be your best friend the minute you meet her. My husband (boyfriend at the time) found Lizz by chance (thank God!) to do our surprise proposal pictures. Although we live several hours away, after meeting her and seeing our pictures I knew I wanted her as our wedding photographer as well. To say our wedding day was seamless would be an understatement and Lizz had a lot to do with that. She is super organized and knows exactly how to get the best shots without waking flower girls up from naps or having your “poor” groomsmen in their suits all day. I could go on and on but I will just say Lizz is one of the nicest and most genuine people that I have ever met and she will help to make your wedding day perfect like she did for us.

My wife and I wanted memories of our wedding that would last a life time. With Lizz we got all of that and more. We got a package that included engagement, wedding, and post-bridal shoots. All of our pictures were fantastic! We also had a lot of fun getting to know Lizz during the process as well. Few things are more important at a wedding than the photographer and I cannot imagine having a better one than Elizabeth Hoard. She was superb in every conceivable way--she was committed and talented, responsive and professional, caring and kind. She made everything easier and nothing harder. She was always available and present but never intrusive. It is not easy to strike this balance so perfectly--to capture everything without interfering in the event. And it ends up meaning so much when the photographer shows real, genuine emotional investment in you, the client. My wife and I could not have been happier without experience. Liz is the best. If you need a photographer, you should hire her!

If you are still looking for your photographer, then look no further. Lizz was amazing from the very beginning. Her photos are what drew us to her, but her personality, professionalism, and everything else are what made us fall in love with her. EVERYTHING was perfect. She is thoughtful, easy-going, and has the freshest ideas. She made our engagement session and wedding day SO much fun! My husband and I get kind of awkward in front of a camera and Lizz made us feel like professional models. Our wedding was moved indoors 30 minutes before showtime and she kept us calm. She is EFFICIENT on wedding day! Her ability to capture emotions in still frames is spot on. Hire her. This should be the easiest decision you've made in your planning process! She was our favorite vendor, hands down.
Oh, and our wedding was in Nashville. She travels!

Lizz is amazing! She is so incredibly easy to work with and has a calm, nothing-fazes-me demeanor that's absolutely essential on what can be an emotional, stressful, and jam packed day! She and her other shooter did a great job of capturing our downtown Memphis wedding. The portraits she took are terrific, but most of my favorites are her wonderful candids. It was a delight to see all these small moments captured so well long after the wedding itself was over.

When people leave across the board 5 star reviews, I usually question it thinking they quickly clicked 5 stars to finish the review and get it done. My groom and I cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth Hoard Photography!
There was an instant connection, and from the start Elizabeth went out of her way to meet our wedding’s needs. She custom-made a contract we could afford and included everything we were looking for. We did engagement photos as well as wedding photography with Elizabeth. Pictures are given on time, based on deadlines Elizabeth communicated ahead of time. We has a sneak snapshot the day after our wedding, with 10 more the following week!
She was an awesome guide and, even though my husband and I are not the most photogenic, you cannot tell how awkward we are when you see her final pictures. She guides you through the process, and keeps things moving so it is hardly noticeable that your picture is being taken.
The day of our wedding, she unexpectedly had a hoard (pun intended) of people to help photograph our special day (a good thing)! Honestly, everyone should try and have her as their photographer.

She delivered amazing engagement and wedding photos to us which is a given considering her amazing skill with lighting and posing. She went above and beyond by helping us with vendor recommendations, changing things last minute to make us more comfortable and rearranging her schedule when we were those hard to deal with clients who changed both wedding dates and engagement photo session dates. She helped us look our best despite our fears and insecurities and made the process fun for us. She surprised us with great ideas and a little something extra at the wedding that was a completely fun surprise! If you're hesitant about hiring her for any reason - don't be. She's amazing and worth every penny.

I can't imagine having any other photographer but Elizabeth for our wedding. For our engagement photos, she knew exactly the look we were going for and nailed it! She made us feel so comfortable and excited to be shooting our engagement pictures with her. She was such a huge part of our wedding. Not only did she help to calm me down, but her personality was so calming for the entire wedding party. I even asked questions throughout the reception about either the cake cutting or the bouquet toss and she was so helpful! I have only seen a few pictures from our wedding and I have never been so happy! She captured not only beautiful images, but she captured the love my husband and I share.
