HIGHLY recommend!!

We truly cannot say enough incredible things about working with Liz as our wedding photographer. From the very beginning, she was organized, professional, and completely on top of everything, but what really set her apart was the energy she brought to our wedding day.

She made the entire experience SO much fun. My husband and I felt completely at ease the whole time. Whenever I started to feel overwhelmed or emotional, she had this calming presence that grounded me instantly. And when it was time to celebrate they hyped me up, made us laugh, and encouraged us to just be ourselves. It never felt stiff or staged. It felt joyful and natural.

Liz somehow managed to capture every meaningful, emotional, and candid moment without ever making it feel forced. Looking through our wedding photos feels like reliving the best day of our lives. We go through them weekly, and every time we’re blown away all over again. The images are spectacular. They are timeless, vibrant, and filled with so much heart.

If you’re looking for someone who will not only deliver stunning photos but also elevate your entire wedding day experience, this is your person. We are forever grateful!!

Exceeded all expectations!

Liz and her team are truly some of the best in the business. From start to finish, they brought incredible experience, artistry, and professionalism to our wedding day. Liz thinks through every detail — from lighting, angles, and emotions, so you can truly relax and enjoy yourself knowing she’s capturing it all perfectly.

Her candid shots are especially impressive; she has an amazing eye for those in-between moments that feel so genuine and full of emotion. Some of my favorite photos of the day were spontaneous! Looking through our photos feels like reliving the day all over again. She also excels at photographing in all lighting. Our day included sunny, bright outdoor shots, and dark and moody indoor reception shots. She captured both incredibly.

Beyond her talent behind the camera, Liz is simply wonderful to work with. As a bride and groom, you spend a lot of your day with your photographers, and Liz and Gavin made sure we felt completely at ease and were having the most incredible time. Their calm, positive energy made the whole experience so special.

I can’t recommend Liz and her team highly enough — they capture not just the images, but the true spirit and joy of the day.

Liz is the BEST!

Liz, Gavin and their entire team were wonderful to work with from start to finish. It goes without saying their pictures are phenomenal however just as important to us - was their warm and comforting demeanor towards Dani and Evan. Our daughter remarked after the weekend that Liz was so incredible and calming throughout the entire wedding day. We believe Liz and her team were worth every penny! We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Hiring Liz Fogarty as our photographer was one of, if not, the best decision we made for our wedding! Liz and Gavin made us feel so comfortable and confident during our wedding day. Liz and Gavin were sensational. I am not kidding when I say I couldn’t imagine working with anyone else. MUST HIRE - Best Decision Made

Liz and Gavin were amazing to work with. When I started to wedding plan, I knew I wanted to make sure I had the best photographer to capture the day and to be able to look back on my photos. From my first initial call with Liz, to checking-in during the planning process, to the day of - we knew that we made the best decision. We are absolutely obsessed with our photos and couldn't imagine a better photographer duo for our wedding. I hired Liz for my Rehearsal dinner and wedding, which I am so glad I did - she felt like a friend being there, capturing all the people, venue, and vibe all weekend long. Perfect Wedding Pictures

Elizabeth Fogarty and her team are A++++++!!

We had incredibly high expectations for the pictures from our daughter's wedding in March of 2025. Elizabeth Fogarty and her team exceeded our expectations in every way. She communicated well with us before the event to ensure she knew our preferences. She was professional at the event, capturing every posed photo and important moment from the ceremony and then blending in during the reception/party to memorialize the joy and emotion of the evening without being noticed or intruding in any way. She followed up quickly after the event with highlight photos and then exceeded her timeline for delivering all of the photos.

We have been through all of the pictures from the day and they are incomparable. To say it most simply, if you have to opportunity to hire Elizabeth Fogarty for your event and you choose not to, you have made a massive mistake -- we can't imagine anyone else capturing the moments and creating the magic that she did with her work.

Liz and Gavin were amazing to work with! They made sure we got all of the photos on our shot list and made my husband and I, our families, and our wedding party feel super comfortable. Best Photographer Hands Down!!!

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Liz is!!!! She did both our engagement and wedding photos and I am truly blown away. Our photos are so breathtaking and gorgeous and I'm so glad we have them to relive our big day for the rest of our lives! Both Liz and Gavin are so incredibly fun to work with and made us feel super comfortable right away (which is no easy fete with a husband that generally feels awkward in front of a camera). They provided enough instruction to help with the portraits and to keep us on schedule, but mostly, they encouraged us to just enjoy the day and each other-- and boy, did it pay off! Liz captured so much joy, excitement and love, not to mention every beautiful detail from the night. It's hard to put into words the gratitude & love I feel for Liz Fogarty & team. Liz and Gavin are THE BEST!

Liz and Gavin are amazing! Prior to our wedding, she was very organized and responsive to my questions and ideas for pictures. Even over zoom and over the phone, I could tell that she loves what she does and was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. She even helped us get the permits to shoot along the DC tidal basin and the National Mall. On wedding day, Liz and Gavin were incredibly efficient while also bringing out our personalities and brought the fun energy. Her pictures captured not only the timeless portraits but also the wonderful moments in between with our family and friends. She then sent us 200 preview pictures 48h after our wedding and our full album within 2 months!! We also ordered photo albums which are pending, but we cannot wait!! Liz and Gavin are the best, and we could not have asked for a more wonderful team to capture our big day!

The Most Beautiful Wedding Photos!!

I am so thrilled that we hired Liz and Gavin to shoot our wedding. They were a dream to work with. In the booking / planning process, Liz was very accessible and communicative. She was open to our views for photo locations and diligent about making sure she knew all of the set photos / specific moments that really mattered to us.

On the actual day, Liz and Gavin were so lovely. They were very calm / relaxed and helped set an overall great energy for the day. They were specific about making sure we got the shots we wanted, and I was never worried about the photos during the wedding.

The photos themselves came out SO BEAUTIFULLY. I honestly could not love them more. We got hundreds and hundreds of photos of the day. It’s nearly impossible to decide what to frame!

I think what makes Liz particularly special as a photographer is all of the photos that aren’t staged. We got all of the “set piece” photos you expect at a wedding: our couples portraits, the bridal party, the family photos, the first dance, etc. But we also got so many lovely photos of “little” moments and candid shots. I really feel like Liz and Gavin captured our wedding day perfectly, and I know I’ll always cherish their beautiful work!

Exceeded all expectations

Liz and Gavin made the entire photo capturing experience as a bride feel natural, calm and fun! They have a way about them that is very professional yet relaxed. I have been a bridesmaid quite a few times and Liz and Gavin are by far the favorite photo duo I've seen in action - which was great for me because I was the bride this time. Liz was able to capture every genuine reaction and special snapshot of joy all while being very inconspicuous. I couldn't believe how much she captured. Her photos instantly bring you back to the immense joy of the day. They were also able to manage two large, distracted families and stay perfectly on schedule. She even remembered to gather the few straggler photos I requested for after the ceremony. Can't recommend Liz and Gavin enough.

Speechless at liz & gavin!

I can not say enough about how stunned I am at my wedding photos! Not only are they so, so stunning, but they so perfectly encapsulate the vibe of our wedding. I truly don’t think there is anyone who could have done a better job. Both Liz & Gavin are so amazing to work with (& very popular with the guests), and truly felt like a part of the family by the end. Sometimes photographers can feel like a nuisance at wedding, but NOT these two. They were efficient, blended in, and made everyone feel so comfortable. Absolute perfection!

Words will never be able to truly describe the appreciation I have for both Liz and Gavin. I honestly can not say enough amazing things about them! Not only am I obsessed with my photos but Liz and Gavin's attention to detail and amazing personalities is truly what makes them Great! Looking for a photographer was by far the hardest decision for me but when I came across Liz....I JUST KNEW! From the moment I spoke with her, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease and quite honestly I felt like I was talking to someone I knew for years. When it came to our engagement shoot my husband and I were quite nervous to be in front of the camera but Liz and Gavin brought us so much comfort and jokes that we were able to loosen up and actually have fun! When it came to wedding day I was at ease to know that Liz and Gavin would do their thing! and let me just say that they ROCKED IT! Liz was super efficient and productive at getting all the photos that I had wanted and MORE! The most talented team!!

Liz and Gavin are truly incredible photographers!! We were connected to Liz through our wedding planner and I'm So grateful for the connection. We were drawn to Liz's style due to her ability to capture light/airy photos without compromising color and vibrancy. Liz and Gavin took both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. It's really fun to have a duo that is so connected and engaging. Getting your photos taken can be an awkward experience depending on the photographer, but Liz and Gavin are so fun and put us at such ease that it felt more like hanging out than having formal shots taken. The best duo!

Working with Liz was a no brainer after 2 of my friends hired Liz for their weddings a few years ago and had nothing but great things to say! Liz and Gavin are not only wonderful photographers but amazing people! It was so fun working with them and getting to know them during our engagement photos - it broke the ice and they figured out our likes and personalities. Getting my husband to do things like that is never easy, but he and Gavin got along so well it made the engagement session fun and easy. They were great at letting us do what we wanted to do and at the same time if we needed guidance or direction, they were great at that too. At the wedding, Liz was so organized and professional, made everything so effortless! She was also able to wrangle the bridal party together for photos - wasn't easy but she did it! My husband and his groomsmen had a blast getting ready with Gavin, I think having a guy take the groomsmen photos let the guys relax more. Liz and Gavin captured so many wonderful memories and left us feeling like we made some new friends. Definitely planning to use them again in the future!!

Professional, Talented, and worth EVERY PENNY!!

If I could give iz and Gavin 10 stars, I would. Not only were they both so patient with my postponements during Covid, but when the big day finally came around, they were beyond helpful with the timelines, the details, and even the emergency bow-tie-tying! When I saw the finished images (super quickly too!), I was floored. Liz and Gavin captured moments of the wedding day that I hadn't even seen myself, and I will be forever grateful. I would recommend them to anybody!

Best photographer with the kindest heart

After looking through Liz's work , I knew that she was the person I needed to photograph our wedding. She is incredibly personable, organized, detail-oriented, and extremely gifted at capturing organic candid moments. Most importantly, Liz and Gavin are two of the most kind, genuine and warm hearted people and we feel so fortunate to have been able to work with them both. They have such a calming presence and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout our entire wedding day. We were absolutely blown away when we received our wedding gallery, the pictures turned out more than perfect and we are so grateful to Liz that we can relive that day over and over again. We could not recommend Liz enough, we had the best experience working with her and Gavin!!

Booking Liz was my #1 priority when I got engaged

I had saved Liz’s information from a wedding magazine I saw when I was in college. When I got engaged years later she was the first vendor I called to check her availability - before I tried to lock down a venue or even a date! Her work is dreamy and drool-worthy and I had. to. have. it.

Working with her and Gavin always felt more like being with friends than anything. They go way out of their way to make you comfortable all while delivering literally the best photos I’ve ever seen. During our engagement shoot in Malibu, my feet were freezing from walking barefoot in the freezing Pacific water and on the way back to the cars Gavin offered me his own shoes to be more comfortable - I mean who does that! My feet were sandy and gross.

On my wedding day I was anxious about everything, but definitely about shooting at multiple (3) locations in DC. Liz and Gavin made me feel at ease that everything was being handled and we were even AHEAD of schedule, which is a wedding rarity and dream come true. They captured every crucial shot throughout the day - even ones I didn’t think about, and I’m a wedding planner!

They are simultaneously professional and warm, extremely involved and unseen throughout the day. They are the DREAM team and nothing felt better than knowing they were the ones memorializing our day. They are indescribably perfect and I will cherish my wedding & engagement pictures forever, as well as our whole experience working with them.

Beautiful photos!

What's not to like?? Liz’ work stood out to me on Instagram when I was searching for wedding photographers and after a few email exchanges, we ultimately chose Liz as our photog. We are so happy to have chosen Liz and her team! She is very talented, professional and organized. From our engagement session to our wedding shoot, she made us and our families feel at ease and captured beautiful photos that are not overly staged but truly capture the feeling and emotion of this epic day in our lives -- something that was very important for us. On the day of the wedding, Liz and Gavin, her hubby and business partner, had walkie-talkies which made wedding operations run that much smoother at a multi-floor large venue. We now have a database of beautiful fine art-esque photos to look back on to remember this special day in our lives. Highly recommend!

Best photographers ever!

There are not enough words to adequately describe the quality of service you get from Liz and Gavin. They are without a doubt the best photographers in the DMV. For my husband and I, the most important vendor that we selected for our wedding was our photographer. We desired for our images to be authentic, timeless, and of course beautiful. That is exactly what we received and more. Not only are Liz and Gavin incredibly talented, but they are also world class people. They constantly made sure that we were taken care of. At one point, Gavin even brought my husband a drink. They were dedicated to serving us and making sure our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. They captured such heartfelt emotions and raw, beautiful moments that we will cherish forever. I can't begin to explain how many times I have looked back through our photos. I love every single one of them!!! Not to mention, after tirelessly working nine plus hours, they delivered sneak peaks to us in less than 24 hours. To say I was speechless would be an understatement. It was such a gift to be able to share those photos with our family and friends the next day. Liz and Gavin are the best investment you can make for your wedding. I am still so honored that they were our photographers! We 110% recommend them!!

Photographer - Extraordinaire! Outstanding Wedding and Engagement Photography

Liz Fogarty Photography is extraordinary. It started with a meeting in a cafe in Germantown, MD and it was an instant connection. Michelle had been following Liz and her work for almost a year and she knew she was who she wanted. She had looked at her work and said it was special. Then when I met her in person to work out details of a contract, I knew this was going to be one of the most important and best decisions that Michelle and I made for her wedding day. Liz and Gavin throughout the process were exceptional. Michelle and Andrew's engagement session in St. Michaels on a boat was perfection. Liz and Gavin captured every detail of their love and she shows up with the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers to enhance the pictures. She took a taxi out in the water to capture just the perfect moments of the sunset. We were hooked. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner getting to know both of them better and from that day on, we knew we had not only hired the best in the business, but we had added friends to our family! Michelle and Andrew's wedding day was nothing short of magnificant by both Liz, Gavin and their assistant. They captured unbelievable moments and they were everywhere. They brought such love, fun, compassion, calmness and beauty to the day. They shot for over 9 hours of photos and I can't even imagine how many they took, but by 9am the next morning we had 45 photos from night before that took our breath away. Wow is this team amazing and incredible. They allowed us to share the perfect day in pictures within 12 hours of the event ending. I can't imagine our day without them as a part of it and Liz is exceptional at what she does. I absolutely can say that both Liz and Gavin will forever be part of our family and while our work ended with the wedding (can't wait for babies with them :)....our friendship will last forever. I know the albums and rest of the pictures will be incredible. If you are looking for the best, you have found it in Liz and Gavin and don't hesitate. Worth the cost, they are exceptional!

Best Photographer Ever!

Liz was the perfect choice for our wedding. She was beyond professional, while still making us feel at ease and natural. That comfort level definitely translated into how well our photos turned out. For both our engagement and wedding photos, Liz and Gavin were a dream to work with. They navigated around the chaos seamlessly, while still getting all the shots we wanted (and more!). My husband and I honestly could not be happier with how every single photo turned out. Liz somehow managed to make us look like seasoned models! She has an incredible gift for capturing the joy and love between two people, even within a still photograph. We will treasure all of these photos for years to come. Truly magic in human form

Liz is truly magic in human form. From her ability to capture candid moments and turn them into pieces of art to her love of photography makes working with her a dream come true. Liz is everything you look for in a photographer; detail oriented, organized, talented, and personable. Each time we look through our wedding book or stare at the photos proudly on display in our home, we are taken on a journey of one of the best days of our life. Absolutely the BEST!

Liz is an amazing photographer and it was absolutely incredible to work with her and Gavin! Liz took our engagement pictures at the DC memorials and we instantly knew we could not do the rest of our journey without them! Liz and Gavin joined us for our destination wedding in Cartagena. Liz is tremendously talented, absolutely professional and a master of her profession. We were so grateful to have them capture priceless memories of the 3 days of events leading up to the our big day, and then being a constant positive light throughout the wedding day! Liz and Gavin made us feel so comfortable and were always able to offer the BEST advice- which we are still so grateful for to this day! I am blown away by the pictures every time I look at them, her ability to get to know you personally so that she can capture the intimate moments of your wedding day is extraordinary. Best photographer a bride could ask for!

Our experience with Liz could not have been better! She was very organized, responsive, and friendly in the months leading up to our wedding (including phone calls, emails back and forth to ensure that I got all of the photos I wanted, site visits to ensure that she got the best shots, etc.). On the actual wedding day, she was amazing! She got along with everyone she came into contact with and was efficient yet did not make me or the groom feel overwhelmed at any point. And her photos from the wedding are AMAZING!!! She truly is a gifted photographer who captures all of the special moments of the day beautifully. Couldn't recommend her more!

Are you looking for a wedding photographer that has an eye for organic moments? Someone who is genuine, creative and kind that you will feel comfortable with? Look no further -- Elizabeth Fogarty (and Gavin Fogarty!) are the best wedding photographers, hands down. From the very beginning, my husband and I both felt like Liz and Gavin were old friends! They have this incredible ability to make clients (even grooms!) feel comfortable in front of a camera. You honestly don't even realize you are getting your picture taken! Gavin is genuine, funny, easy going, and talented behind the lens. He makes grooms feel like they are old pals! Best quality photos & experience! We couldn't be happier

When I found Liz's portfolio online, I knew her work was leaps and bounds above any other photographer, and I'm so happy we made the decision to work with her. We invested in our wedding photography, and it was worth every penny. Every photo from our day is not only beautiful, but also truly captures the essence and the special moments from the day. Liz also did our engagement photos - she and her husband Gavin flew all the way out to our home city of San Diego to take them, and it was such an amazing experience! Throughout the planning process, Liz was personable, professional, and lovely. On the day of the wedding, her team was SO professional - the day went off without a hitch. Liz and Gavin were the highlight of our day! They arrived to our location early and were extremely accommodating, thorough and organized throughout the entire day. Every question was answered immediately prior to our wedding including recommending several other wonderful vendors that we used!! Working with Liz is getting a two in one- photographer and DC wedding expert. A lot of our family and friends are from overseas or deployed so from the start, photography was on the top of my list of importance. As soon as I came across Liz’s work I knew she was the one. Her photos are candid with a soft sweet touch and she made every bride, style, and venue look absolutely breathtaking. Right off the bat she asked me all the right questions to capture my vision. She not only exists in the industry but she takes the time to be a mentor and an influencer in the DC wedding industry! She introduced me to multiple vendors which I ended up using and made excellent recommendations on little detail items to include in my day to make it even more special. Whenever I would mention that Liz was my photographer, my vendors would light up with excitement that their work would be photographed by her. She is a true artist and comes in an adorable package deal with her husband and photography partner, Gavin. They are the perfect duo. My husband isn’t particularly into photoshoots and neither are his friends; however, Gavin fits in perfectly with “the boys” and made them feel like they could be themselves. The day of, Liz and her team arrived almost an hour early and was ready to go shooting details and getting ready candids. My hair and makeup ran over an hour late but she adjusted accordingly and seamlessly. Throughout the day, her team was so professional and charming with family and other vendors- everyone loved them (Seriously, if they weren’t working we would have wanted them as a guest!!) The photos were delivered weeks earlier than expected. She captured the most beautiful moments that I almost forgot about in the blur of the day. She also goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are 10000% satisfied. Liz’s photos of our wedding day are truly stunning. It’s hard to believe that the people they captured were me and my husband — they are so perfect. Her vision for beautiful, romantic moments is uncanny. Liz is a sweetheart who has a strong sense of her style and it is stunning. Liz is absolutely the very best. Her photos are stunning. We truly felt that she captured our love and the joy we felt on our wedding day. Having a very small wedding, we were concerned that having a team of photographers with us might feel awkward, but this was absolutely not the case. Liz and Gavin immediately became part of the celebration--everyone from our groomsmen to our parents loved them. They put up with super cold temperatures, a behind-schedule timeline and challenges with church restrictions in shooting the ceremony, all while making us feel at ease for the photos. If we had to plan our wedding again, Liz would be the first vendor we booked all over again! We cannot recommend her highly enough!

As a bride and business person I couldn’t have picked a better photographer to work with. Professionally Liz is detailed, precise, timely, and responsive; her process is organized, contracts are clear, online payments are easy to use and the picture gallery is spectacular when finished. Personally and more importantly she is so sweet and so incredibility talented. Liz was able to capture every ( and I mean every) moment of our day with spectacular detail! Her work is nothing short of AMAZING. One thing that really stood out to me was her team and the intricate role they played throughout the day. Liz is not only capturing the day’s events, but she’s keeping the timeline moving at the right pace, sometimes having to think on the fly and improvise as needed. Even when we were running behind all her experience with photographing weddings really paid off; she was so sweet and reassuring that we were OK and we would make it on time! We are beyond thrilled with our choice to book Elizabeth Fogarty Photography for our wedding day! Liz and her team, Gavin and Winny, are amazing. Seriously....book Liz! You will not regret it. I did months of research including countless hours trolling instagram so I can confidently say Liz is the best out there. Her prices are competitive among the DC metro area. From beginning to end Liz was extremely professional. She is very personable and friendly which made the entire process even better. We thought out engagement photos (featured on stylemepretty) were amazing but when we got our wedding photos, we were floored. During the wedding planning process, I spent a lot of time researching different wedding photographers in the area. I can say with full confidence that Liz is quite simply the best. She is incredibly talented, detail oriented, thoughtful and a true professional. On the day of the wedding, Liz and Gavin were so pleasant to be around and such a calming force They were both incredibly respectful of moments, but somehow captured every moment from start to finish. I have been in weddings where the picture process felt stressful and long, but with them everything was so quick, seamless, and enjoyable, which really set the tone for the day.

When my husband and I saw our pictures (which Liz got to us so quickly), we were speechless. The pictures exceeded our expectations in every way. We set aside a Friday night to go through all of the pictures together and, admittedly, we were both in tears. She captured all of our special moments from the day, and we were able to feel and remember all of our emotions and all of our moments with our family/wedding party. We are so thankful that we will always be able to relive our wedding day through her beautiful pictures.

Also, on the wedding day, Liz/Gavin were such a help. My husband told me numerous times that Liz/Gavin were the glue for him and the groomsmen. While they took incredible pictures, they also went above and beyond by making sure to keep him on point and to have him where he needed to be, when he needed to be there, and he had a blast doing it with them.

My husband and I cannot recommend Liz and her team enough. We are so happy we got to work with them.

Words cannot express how amazing Liz and her team, Gavin and Winny, were. They were, quite simply, the BEST. When we were photographer shopping, it was a bit daunting given how specific our taste was and trying to make sure whomever we picked matched that taste. When we came across a feature that Liz and her team had shot, we were blown away; they were EXACTLY what we were looking for and we were so excited to have found them. From day one I knew that Liz was absolutely amazing. She is beyond professional and is interested in you as a couple. We had so much fun with her and her team, they made everything feel so natural. Choosing Liz for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! She was the first vendor we secured, and we have not looked back since! We got our completed photos only weeks after our wedding and the photos are STUNNING! I had noted that we wanted individual photos with family and bridal party, and Liz was SO efficient in the process of getting those shots day-of. Everyone noticed how THIS is how the photo process during weddings should be done. My bridal party still mentions in conversation how awesome and quick our photographer was and how they've been in many other weddings where this was not the case. In our photos, we also noticed how there were such lovely candid shots of me and my husband - laughing and chatting with our guests. We hadn't expected to get these shots and they were such a lovely surprise. My husband ADORED working with Gavin. The story he tells is that he had called the hotel front desk to see if someone could help tie a bowtie and Gavin HAPPENED to be there waiting to get up to their room to take getting ready shots for the men. My husband hears Gavin's voice in the background saying, "Is that Tim? Tim! I know how to tie a bowtie!!" He was Tim's hero! Liz and her team are worth every cent you pay. You just know you're in good hands. I had no doubt we would get amazing photos, but they gave us more than that - they gave us a way to relive our wedding day over and over again. If you're trying to decide whether to hire Liz, DO IT! You won't regret it!

There is not enough room allowed here that will allow us to express how much we LOVE Liz and Gavin - best duo EVER. We had an instant connection with them both and they made us feel super comfortable! Great personalities, wonderful images, receptive, funny, professional, understanding, helpful, adorable...we can go on and on and on. You get what you pay for and them some with their photography and if we could start over and pick our photographer, we would pick them over and over an over again! In fact, we will most likely continue to use them for all kinds of photo shoots we want to have through life : )

My husband and I knew that although we were on a tight wedding budget, we wanted to hire the best photographer we could find, because at the end of the day, the photos are what you go back to time and again to relive your magical day. The fact is, with Elizabeth Fogarty and her team, you get all the bang for your buck and then some. Hiring Liz as your photographer is one of the best investments you'll ever make, and perhaps the best one you'll make for your wedding. From day one, Liz was warm, approachable, direct, professional, and flexible with us. My husband's a videographer/video editor, and my dad's a photographer, so they were picky about photo quality when choosing whom to hire. Personality was an important factor, too, as you want someone who meshes well with your family and friends on such a special day. We video-chatted with Liz before hiring her, and not only did she know what she was talking about, but she was also very easy to talk to. On the big day, Liz, her assistant Kate, and her husband/second shooter Gavin arrived early and got started right away. Gavin bonded so well with the groomsmen that my husband still raves about how he was a "cool dude." Liz is ON IT; she didn't miss a beat, and she knew how to get the most stunning photographs within the time frame we had. We received our gallery a month after the wedding (so fast!) and we were in awe of how lovely they turned out. We had previously mentioned to Liz that my husband's uncle is sick, and were surprised to find several beautiful, candid photos of him in our photo gallery, which has made our family so happy. The bottom line: Liz Fogarty exemplifies the difference between a regular photographer and a FINE ART photographer. Her work is TIMELESS, and we're so grateful and proud to forever have our wedding photos be Liz Fogarty masterpieces! Thank you so much, Liz & team!

My husband and I worked with Liz to photograph our wedding in October. I think all the other reviews accurately capture how professional Liz is to work with and how beautiful her photos are, but I do want to give her a special shout out for her terrific job capturing our unusual wedding ceremony. We got married in a Russian Orthodox church and the ceremony is very different from a traditional church service. Unlike other photographers, Liz had experience photographing an Orthodox wedding before. Liz and her team did a great job of being educated on what were the key moments in the ceremony and working in a church that was very small and difficult to maneuver around. We were so happy to see all the special moments she captured. If you're having an Orthodox wedding, I highly recommend Liz.

Liz was far and away one of the most talented photographers that I have ever worked with. Her attention to detail, respect for moments, and her passion for her work shine in the images she captured from our wedding. She's meticulous and fun. Energetic and extremely focused. She flexible and steadfast. Working with her was a pure joy and her photos of our day were more than I could have ever hoped! I highly recommend working with her. As an out of state bride, I spent weeks searching for the perfect photographer to capture our engagement session and wedding day. I stumbled upon Elizabeth Fogarty Photography and immediately fell in love with her way of capturing the smallest details in every photo. After contacting Liz we instantly connected and we scheduled our engagement session. A few weeks later we drove from Georgia to Maryland for our engagement session. We were so nervous and had no idea what we were doing but Liz was so great at complimenting our strengths while guiding us and keeping us laughing, making our session so much fun! She even worked with our energetic labradoodle pup to include him in the pics! The final album brought tears to my eyes. The pictures were so flawless and truly captured every emotion we were feeling. I will forever treasure those moments. On our wedding day Liz and her team were so much help! We started off behind schedule due to hair and makeup and Liz and her team were somehow able to behind the scenes (without stressing the bride) get everyone back on track and get me down the aisle on time, without missing or rushing any of the little special moments! Liz even reapplied my lipstick and fixed my hair when my makeup artist left early! I honestly don't know what I would have done without her!

Working with Liz was so fun and easy! She helped capture our engagement photos and we could not think of anybody we would want to capture our wedding day! Leading up to our wedding day, she asked us to complete a survey so that she could get a better understanding of our event and specific details we wanted her to capture. Then, the day of the wedding, she was very flexible in our somewhat hectic timeline and traveling with us to three different locations throughout the day. She helped us identify and capture beautiful photos for our first look and the rest of the day that we will cherish forever. Thank you Liz!!

Liz is phenomenal, to say the least. From our first phone call with her, I knew I wanted to work with her. She is so sweet, and so professional. For both our engagement session and our wedding day, we felt so comfortable and at ease with her behind the camera. She provided us with enough guidance to get the shot, while still allowing us to be ourselves. We received endless compliments from our family that Liz and Gavin were spectacular to work with. I would not have wanted to have anyone else responsible for photographing our wedding day. Not to mention, it was by far the windiest day of the year and Liz made it work for us. Each picture that Liz captures is beyond stunning, and takes me back to the moment it happened. What more could you ask for in a wedding photo? Elizabeth Fogarty was the BEST wedding photographer imaginable. She is professional, creative, approachable, and produces the most beautiful photographs. Liz's husband, Gavin, works as her assistant/second shooter. They are a great team and so much fun. We had the opportunity to do an engagement shoot with them and we were so glad we did. Not only did we have a blast, but we got more comfortable in front of the camera and got to know Liz and Gavin, which made the wedding day a breeze. Liz coordinated the logistics for our wedding day photos beautifully, from getting ready photos (she shares my same love for getting ready photos), to our First Look photos, to photos at the Lincoln Memorial with the wedding party, and then of course the wedding itself. Liz is also very responsive, which made the planning very easy. We could not recommend Elizabeth Fogarty Photography more!!

Liz was amazing from start to finish; such a pleasure to work with. Liz met up with us about a month out from our wedding to make sure all of the details were confirmed, and never let any stone go unturned. She was comfortable working with my day-of-coordinator to finalize the shoot schedule. Most importantly, Liz added so many more laughs to an already beautiful, amazing day. The *new* husband rarely likes to take photos, in fact, is a big goofball at heart, so the fact that she and Gavin brought out the poised, handsome man I (sometimes ;)) get to see, was wonderful. Everyone in the bridal party had a blast shooting with her, too. I already got comments from two wedding attendees that they'd hire her in a second! Finally - the photos...just beyond stunning and I've never been more happy looking and re-looking (and re-looking) at the photos. I'm so happy I hired Liz to be our photographer for our wedding a few weeks ago!!! I went with Liz because the photos I saw of past weddings she shot had this kind of soft, dreamy quality, and that's how I wanted mine to look. I got back the final images from my wedding earlier than I expected and I couldn't be more pleased. Not only are the pictures beautiful and flattering, but she captured a lot of special and fun moments that I would not have remembered otherwise. Not only did the photos turn out wonderful, but she was great to work with. She's warm, funny, flexible, and helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera and in general. With 2 toddlers and 90+ degrees outside, we didn't know what to expect for our family's first professional photo shoot. But after looking through all the pictures Liz took, I didn't even remember how hot it was that day or how worried I was we'd all look so red and sweaty. She captured us in those photos in the most beautiful subtle way possible with the sunset and background she envisioned. The smiles and laughter came naturally with Liz and her assistant Gavin. The kids loved them!! As for the couple shots with my husband, I couldn't be more happier. She captured us in the right moments, to get that natural look we wanted, but also making us look like models! She took some really timeless shots that will be enlarged and hung on our house for as long we live. Thanks again Liz!

Liz was absolutely fantastic every step of the way! She is responsible and professional, a true delight to be around, and of course her photos are magical. We were so lucky to have Liz and her team with us for our engagement photos and wedding day, and we couldn't imagine it without her. Even when it started to rain an hour before the ceremony, Liz made sure we got all our bridal party photos in outside, and stayed calm and unphased during all the last minute changes. My wife already gave a review, but I'll give a males perspective. I'm not someone who is entirely in my comfort zone being in front of the camera, and Liz made me feel completely comfortable and made the engagement and wedding photos a fun process. Her assistant was great as well, and fit right in with the boys. Liz and her staff were professional and our pictures turned out absolutely amazing. Liz and her team were fantastic. It was so important to me that we hired a great photographer, and Liz exceeded every expectation. Elizabeth Fogarty was a wonderful photographer vendor to work with. It's been a little over six months since I got married and I love showing friends and family photos from the wedding. When I first reached out to her she was quick to respond and offered to meet me in an area convenient to me (she was the only photographer vendor who offered to do that during my search). I appreciated how she went through her contract and packages in person. Her pricing was reasonable and I knew I was in good hands when I looked through her website and blog filled with gorgeous photos from previous weddings, engagement sessions and styled shoots. I really like her ethereal and romantic photography aesthetic. She was very prompt and professional the day of the wedding (even showing up a few minutes early). She brought with her a wonderful team. I was on a tight budget and I ended up not having a wedding planner. Elizabeth kept me on schedule between getting ready and getting to the church for first look photos. I really appreciated that. That responsibility shouldn't fall on the photographer but it shows great leadership. It was a few weeks later when I received the online gallery. I was very impressed with the turnaround time. But above all else, my husband and I loved the moments her and her team captured on camera. I am so grateful I booked her and I love that we still keep in touch every now and then.

There are no words to express how happy we are that Liz was our photographer! By the time we were finished our engagement shoot, we knew we had made the best decision. Leading up to our wedding day, Liz was extremely willing to answer any and all questions. On our wedding day, she and her team were such a dream to have around (the guys loved hanging with Liz's second shooter/husband, Gavin, in the morning--and he got incredible shots!) . They were all so calm and patient-- definitely a source of zen for us on such a packed day! I am still blown away by how quickly they were able to assemble our large families for portraits, and how they handled a bridal party that included NINE children without skipping a beat (did I mention they were patient?!). :) I have not stopped smiling (and crying happy tears!) since receiving our photos...the magical details that Liz captured are so special. These photos have quickly turned into my most valued possessions, and I look forward to a lifetime of looking back on them and remembering the immense love that we felt on our wedding day!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Liz Fogarty. She is truly a treasure. I actually found Liz through one of her ads on Bayside Bride. I adored her art, and the light and airy quality of her photographs. I knew she would be perfect for our Chesapeake Bay wedding. From the moment we sat down in a little bakery in MD I knew she was perfect. I knew she was an artist, but I did not expect her to be so genuinely excited about our big day. She never lost that genuine joy, and I very much appreciated it as the day approached. She was incredibly responsive during the months leading up to the wedding, sending me ideas and links, and just answering my questions in general. Though I know she is one very busy lady (much deserved!) she had a remarkable ability of making me feel as if I was the only bride she was working with. That's really a talent! During our engagement shoot and the day of the wedding, she always amazed me with her speed. She never struggled for ideas, nor did she ever stop making me and my wedding party laugh, smile, and just have fun! And in the end, her product is spectacular. What more could you ask from one of the most important people involved in one of the most important days of your life?

Liz was fantastic! We did our engagement photos and wedding photos with her. I'm not usually comfortable having photos taken of me, but she did a great job of putting us at ease--no cheesy prom photos to be found! Her work is absolutely beautiful--I'm having a hard time deciding what pictures to display (I'm trying not to be the person who has a shrine to her wedding!). Liz is very responsive via email, and was always happy to answer any questions I had. We enjoyed working with her the day of the wedding and she handled our large family very well. Liz was wonderful to work with. She was incredibly professional and organized, and her team captured the most beautiful moments from our wedding day. She was also very patient with our rowdy groomsmen, who insisted on dancing with her at the reception :)

Liz was able to provide us with the perfect combination of traditional photos that my parents requested, as well as contemporary and unique photos of our first look, my dress, the flowers, table settings, decor, and more.

Liz did such an amazing job on our wedding photos. I couldn't be more happy. She was such a pleasure to work with, very responsive and professional. The turn around for the wedding photos were quicker than I expected but in no way meant that the job wasn't done well. She works fast and does her job well. I loved the sneak peaks on her page and having our wedding featured in her blog. I only wish I could have gotten some photos of me and just my mom and more of me and my sister (MOH) but I know that weddings run on a tight time line. All in all, very happy. I recommended her to my friend and I'm excited to see her again at her wedding April 2016.

I ADORE Liz! From the moment we first met at Starbucks and bonded over Pumpkin Spice Lattes, I knew this was going to be a great match. Liz is incredibly talented and knows her stuff, just listen! She is so personable and really gets to know her couples. We took our engagement pictures on November 2nd last year, which ended up being an insanely windy day, I think gusts went up to 40 mph. I was so scared none of our pictures would turn out! They are AMAZING! It was difficult to narrow down the pictures to print albums for our Mothers. For our wedding day, I had a few requests, but let Liz do her thing with her assistant and her adorable husband! Even better? I worked with her assistant many moons ago at a restaurant! Our wedding photos are amazing. I recommend Liz to anyone who I know getting married. One of my best girl friends is even using her for her upcoming wedding after seeing our pictures!

Wow! What is there to say about Liz Fogarty? From the first meeting to the beautiful wedding album she put together for us, I loved working with Liz. She is professional and enthusiastic. Her talent is incredible. Liz captured the details and candid moments of our wedding beautifully. Liz makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and is flexible to the needs of her bride. I could not be happier with the pictures. They look like they came off of any top wedding blog (stylemepretty anyone)? I would highly recommend checking her out!

I am the mother of the bride. Liz and her team were a joy to work with. The pictures turned out just as my daughter wanted. Her style is a soft, impressionist look which was perfect for the venue and style of my daughter's wedding.

Liz is absolutely an incredible photographer, professional and person. When looking for a wedding photographer, we saw Liz’s website and blog and loved the images she captured. Little did we know all else that Liz would bring when she agreed to photograph our wedding day.

Liz uniquely combines professionalism, talent and personality when working with clients. She listens to requests, provides sound advice and captures incredible images. She provides checklists, timelines and an always rapid response to questions.

In addition to her talent behind the camera, Liz has a talent in making the bride, groom and their families feel incredibly special. She knows names of family and friends before the day even begins, and shares in and expresses the same amount of joy as family and friends you have known forever.

The photographs from our engagement session and wedding day are stunning, but also capture our personalities. We are so pleased every time we look at them, and have received endless compliments and questions of “who was your photographer?”

Working with Liz was a true privilege. She is an artist. She is a wonderful person. She will not simply meet but will surpass hopes of what a wedding photographer will deliver.

Liz is absolutely amazing. She is a delightful and kind person. She is professional and dedicated to her clients. She captured amazing photos without a shot list. Liz and her team were absolutely amazing! My husband and I got married this past June and could not have been happier with our beautiful photos! Not only were Liz and her team so much fun, but they were also so professional! We love our photos so much because they were able to capture every special moment of our big day! I am so happy that we went with Elizabeth Fogarty Photography and would definitely recommend them to any future bride!

Liz doesn't just take photos. She captures beautiful moments and the resulting pictures look like they came right out of the pages of a wedding magazine. I didn't think photography was that important to me until I saw what she was capable of. Liz is not only a wonderful photographer, but she's a delightful person. I had been dreading spending the day in front of the camera, but she made us both feel so comfortable to the point where we actually had a TON of fun during our one-on-one portrait session. Our pictures don't show anything but pure joy and I can't stop looking at them. I seriously cannot recommend her enough! She is truly special!

Liz was fantastic! She was so gracious, calm and flexible. I hardly noticed she was even there, which is a good thing for a photographer - to be non-intrusive.

Liz was so gracious in working within our tight schedule. It wasn't her preference, but I believe it all worked out.

Thank you again! We are still enjoying looking at the beautiful photographs and will for years to come.

I come from a wedding family. My mom is a wedding planner, my dad is a minister. I have been to more weddings than I could possibly count (and then count all of the weddings my parents have been a part of over the past 30 years) and Elizabeth is by far the best photographer we have ever had the pleasure not only working with, but just knowing. Liz's attention to detail will leave you breathless, her personality will comfort you as a bride, her staff the day of the wedding is top notch. As a bride, she left me worry-less, I didn't have to worry that she was going to be late, or worry about whether or not she was going to take enough pictures. We really got to ENJOY our wedding, I think we spent no more than an hour (out of our 11 hour day) on formal portraits. The rest were candid's that we had no idea she was even taking, because she just wisps through a wedding with so much grace and professionalism that you don't even know she's there until you see the pictures and you're left in awe as you relive your entire day!!

I could go on and on... but as you can see all of the other reviews commend her just as highly!!

From a bride to a bride... This is the most important thing to spend money on... it is WORTH IT. Don't just hire a photographer because they're cheap. Just do yourself a huge favor and hire Liz, you won't regret it!

Elizabeth is an incredibly talented photographer, super fun to work with, and the quality of her work is breathtaking. Elizabeth did our engagement & wedding photography and we couldn't be happier with the end result. Not only did she make the whole process incredibly easy and stress-free but she also just has an amazing eye for lighting & composition that really comes across in what she photographs. She really captured the vibe and atmosphere of our wedding and the people we got to share it with.

She is extremely professional, very quick to get back to you and just a wonderful personality. I definitely recommend her to all my friends who have weddings or are looking for portrait shots.

Liz is truely a pleasure to work with, and her pictures are AH-MAZE-ING!! She is very responsive, and extremely professional, yet very easy going at the same time, making you feel more relaxed in front of the camera. Definately have and would recommend her to everyone I know!!
