Wonderful Staff

We got married at The Steam Plant in March 2024 and partnered with Elite Catering for food, dessert, and bartenders. They were terrific to work with. They work with you through your proposal item by item several times throughout the wedding planning process to make sure it is exactly what you want. We changed our minds quite a bit due to budget changes and our guests' strict dietary restrictions, and no questions were asked - they accommodated immediately. We had a hodge podge of gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, kosher, etc. guests attending our wedding. There were plenty of options to choose from to ensure everyone was accounted for. The bartenders were a hit (we provided the alcohol, and the bartenders served) - we heard from everyone how incredible the drinks were, and everyone was served super quickly. The waiters were also super attentive, and water glasses were never less than half full. They were absolutely amazing.

Zabrina was our main point of contact throughout the wedding planning process. She was the one writing and re-writing our proposal, answering all of our questions, helping us through our tasting, guiding our wedding day timeline, and everything in between. She was on top of everything. She was super fast at responding to emails, helped us with all of our dietary restrictions, made sure all of our questions were answered, and truly relieved a ton of wedding stress regarding the food (the most important and most stressful part!!) by being so good at her job. Zabrina went above and beyond to help us.... we had a couple of snafus on our part, and she couldn't have been more accommodating. Driving to meet me for a pickup and calling around on a Sunday to handle things that were not even directly related to her job or company was so incredibly appreciated. She truly wants the best for the bride, groom, and wedding day. Zabrina is amazing - highly recommend.

Elite is amazing!

Elite Catering was absolutely amazing on our wedding day!! Thank you so much for everything, everyone absolutely loved your food from the cocktail hour, to dinner, to the after party tacos. Your team was amazing and we did not have to worry about a single thing working with Elite!!

Ariell you were so awesome to work with and we are so thankful that you and your team were with us on our wedding day. We loved the food and received so many compliments on dinner.

Hire Elite Catering, they will handle everything from A to Z and make your day stress free, and will bring an incredible level of service to boot. They were even helping to clean spilled drinks off the dance floor during the night. We were so impressed by Elite and their professional team.

Great food & versatility

I had an amazing experience with Elite Catering and their staff during our wedding process. My husband and I wanted to do some more untraditional styles and food during our day, and they were so on board. We did a family-style meal with “picnic” foods – kabobs, mac&cheese, grilled veggies, cornbread, and all that good stuff. When we walked around to our tables during dinner, everyone was raving about the food and were so excited to have something out of the box and that was served without a hitch! We also had their flaming donut bar, which once again, everyone was RAVING about.

I thoroughly appreciated their professionalism, their can-do attitude, and making sure my husband and I were well-fed too! Would definitely recommend to those looking for catering in the area!!

Bri and Melanie made my dreams come true!

I worked with Melanie and Bri at Elite Catering for our wedding at the Masonic on 1/8/22, and I cannot say enough about both of them. Melanie helped us when we making a decision on our venue. She went over all the logistics, sent reference pictures, recommended vendors that they’ve worked with, and answered the thousands of questions we had. WE LOVED HER. Bri helped with all of the details, she took us through the tasting, coordinated our entire day, and helped us with every step along the way. My mom and I are very visual people and Bri really helped us see the big picture. My favorite thing about Bri is that any issue that came up, she handled it calmly and with ease. There is no one else that I would have trusted my entire day to! The reception was exactly as I imagine and I have her to thank for that!!! The food was incredible, everyone was talking about how this was the best wedding food they've ever had (i also highly recommend the pretzel wall). Thank you so much Elite for putting on an amazing event!!!

Great Food Tasting Experience

Elite was great at scheduling us for a tasting. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the quantity of the food was a lot. I was expecting a lot less for a tasting. We didn’t feel rushed during the tasting and was able to fully review our options. Our sales director, Melanie, was very helpful and very responsive with all my questions. I highly recommend considering Elite to cater your wedding or any event.

Amazing food!

We literally had no complaints about the food! In fact our guests could not stop talking about how good the food was! I feel like that can be very difficult to find in a catering company. HIGHLY recommend doing food stations instead of the traditional plated or buffet style because it allows your guests to try a variety style of food!

Above and Beyond

WOWOWOW! Renee and her team were amazing to work with. Even before COVID they were very responsive and had delicious options for us! Obviously, as COVID restrictions were in place Renee's main goal was to make our wedding still as wonderful as possible while still following safety guidelines. I first met with Renee (we were working with another associate during our tasting) right after Governor Dewine announced Catering halls could open with some strict guidelines. Obviously some of the things we wanted for our catering had to change to make sure safety was a priority. Renee's creativity amazed me!! She found ways so we could still get what we wanted but do it within the guidelines. She is all about the details! I don't think our guests could tell the changes we had to make for restrictions because they were done all so well! We really wanted a serve yourself cheese plate for our guests for hor devours. With COVID restrictions we weren't allowed to have guests serve themselves food. Renee thought of doing a mini cheese board served on clipboards! It was a huge hit!!! We still were able to do a buffet with her staff serving and having plexiglass in front of the food. I thought she would have papers to write what each item was but instead, she did BEAUTIFUL font on the plexiglass that matched our wedding font with what each item was!! I was so amazed by all the little details they figured out to make our wedding safe and elegant. All of her staff was extremely nice and accommodating. They went above and beyond!!!!! Many guests have told us they felt so safe while attending our event and a big part of that is what Renee and her team did to ensure safety. On top of it all, the food was amazing! I would recommend them to anyone!!!!

Top of the line! Zabrina was AMAZING!!!

We had our wedding this past September at The Grande Hall and Zabrina was our wedding coordinator. Zabrina was always so easy to communicate with from the beginning. She answered emails, phone calls and texts so quickly! This was really important to us, because we had so many questions during the planning process and Zabrina was so helpful every step of the way. Not to mention, our reception was BEAUTIFUL, and we thank Zabrina and the Elite Catering team for making our dreams come true. Every single aspect of our reception was flawless and elegant. It honestly turned out better than I ever could have imagined. Our guests raved about the quality of the food and how much they enjoyed it. We loved how our wedding day turned out. We were both hands off the whole day of the wedding and did not have to worry about a single thing. Zabrina and her team took care off everything. We are so thankful for the team at Elite Catering for providing top quality service for the most important day of our lives.

Superb Service

Superb service, quality food, friendly helpful staff. Big shout out to Sydney for her attention to detail and going the extra mile to make our day just perfect. Elite made our night perfect!

We worked with Zabrina throughout the wedding planning process and she was absolutely wonderful to work with! We truly enjoyed the food tasting process and knew right away that Elite would be the catering service we would use. In our final meeting prior to the wedding Zabrina made us feel confident that everything would be executed perfectly. She is extremely detail oriented and experienced. What was wonderful is that she handled all of the rentals we would need for the ceremony and it saved us so much time. The entire Elite team was fantastic the night of the wedding! They helped with the decorations and the tables/bar turned out beautifully! The appetizers and buffet looked and tasted fantastic. All of the servers and bartenders did a wonderful job and we never had an empty glass. The desserts were delicious and our guests kept going back for more! Overall we had a wonderful experience with Elite at a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend to our closest friends!

Zabrina and her team presented a beauftiful cocktail hour display and an awesome brunch set up for our wedding. They were easy to work with from start to finish, incredibly responsive, and the cost could not be beat for the delicious food.

Elite was great to work with! We worked with Zabrina and Renee and they were both so helpful and gave us a lot of ideas to make our wedding day exactly what we wanted. We wanted to do a wine and cheese type tasting for cocktail hour and they suggested doing samples of wine on the table with the cheeses. The table turned out beautifully as they did it on a chalkboard table on top of wine barrels, which matched our venue perfectly and was unique. The guests loved it! The main course was delicious as well. We had multiple people comment on how good the food was. This was a great experience and they were always very quick at responding and answering my many questions. They were very detailed and thorough in the planning so the day of turned out perfectly. Thank you Zabrina and Renee! I would recommend Elite to anyone.

Elite Catering did an absolutely fantastic job with our wedding. Renee was extremely attentive with each of the details for the day and I had total confidence in her and her team that they would keep the reception running smoothly. We even had out of town guests that were delayed and missed dinner and they were able to save a plate for them to eat when they arrived.

The food quality was fantastic; everyone raved about the beef tenderloin and their zucchini boats were an excellent vegetation option.

My husband and I used Elite Catering after visiting 2 other caterers. We found that Elite did a wonderful job start to finish. During the tasting session, they made great suggestions on pairing sides and entree's and discussed cooking methods to make sure that everything was hot and delicious. We also appreciated that they had a tasting menu that we could work off of. We weren't entirely sure what we wanted, and the menu set out a number of directions that we could go. And of course they were very willing to make modifications or entirely new dishes depending on the need. During the planning process they listened to our thoughts on a reception outline and helped us put everything together before and during the event in ways that we didn't think a caterer would volunteer to do. They even kept the bar open later then we had originally planned (we forgot to tell the DJ when to announce that the bar was closing), even though they didn't have to. The food was amazing and the charcuterie display was jaw dropping. People raved about that for days afterward. We wanted to thank Hillary for walking us through everything and making it simpler than we thought it would be. We really can't recommend them enough. Thanks very much Elite!

Elite Catering catered our daughters wedding at The Dayton Art Institute. We could not have been more pleased. The food not only looked beautiful, but it tasted wonderful. The staff was attentive and pleasant. They really took care of us and our 200 guests. The Dayton Art Institute was a perfect venue and Elite's experience there showed in a fantastic reception. My daughter and her husband were thrilled with Elite and so were we.

My husband and I had the BEST experience with Elite Catering for our wedding! We met with Renee several times for planning...we wanted something a little different than the standard "wedding food experience", so she came up with the idea of doing food stations. We ended up going with a taco wall, a slider bar and a mac & cheese bar, followed by a flaming donut/salted caramel ice cream bar for dessert. AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE. Our wedding was almost a month ago at this point, and people are STILL talking to us about how much they loved the food. Not only did everyone think the food was delicious, but the presentation was PHENOMENAL. Renee and team are also incredibly professional - even our venue (Lake Lyndsay) was raving about how great they were to work with. If you are considering Elite for your caterer, DO IT. You will definitely be more than pleased with your decision.

I have NEVER had such good food at a wedding EVER in my life! And I am just not saying that because it was my wedding. I can't tell you how many of our guests asked about who are caterer was because they were blown away with how AMAZING the food was! My husband and I fancy ourselves as foodies so the caterer was the biggest deal for us, and Elite blew our minds! From our first meeting with the team we knew these people care as much if not more about food as we do. Renee, the owner, is so sweet and creative! We discussed with her the foods we like and what things are important to us and it was like she jumped into both of our heads a created the most perfect, delicious menu!!!
The day of the wedding the employees were so professional, courteous, and attentive. Every time I would leave our table when I would come back a new drink would be at me seat, or a new plate of food.
Elite seriously made our wedding day not just great but amazing.
I cannot reccomend them enough!

My husband and I enjoyed working with Elite Catering from start to finish. We were able to choose a handful of salads, entrees and sides for our tasting before we decided on which foods we wanted to serve at our wedding. We met with another caterer that only offered a plate of cut fruit and cheeses. It wasn't bad but didn't really provide any insight as to what the actual food tasted like. We met and worked with Luanne, Jennifer and David. All of them were great and made us feel like a priority. Our questions and concerns were responded to in a timely manner. Jennifer even got back to us after hours on her personal cell phone to discuss some changes and details that we had during the week prior to the wedding. Everything went off without a hitch (at least to our knowledge). The set up looked amazing and the food tasted great. All of the servers and bartenders were nice and friendly. Our guests enjoyed the food and had a great time at the open bar. Thank you to Luanne, Jennifer and David for an amazing night. Everything was wonderful! Elite Catering is the way to go for any event, especially a wedding!

We met with three different catering companies prior to our wedding. Choosing Elite was an easy decision based on their creativity, professionalism, and the quality of their food. Jennifer was so easy to work with, promptly answering all of our questions, and providing us with unique ideas and suggestions. We met with Jennifer a few weeks before the wedding, and she planned out the entire day for us. This allowed us to have a timeline to give the rest of our vendors, and ensured that our day would run smoothly. The food itself was amazing, and all of our guests are still raving about it. One guest even claimed it was "the best wedding food I have ever eaten". My husband was so disappointed that there were not left overs to eat the next day ;) I can not say enough good things about Elite, and I would not hesitate to use them again!

Rene and her staff were absolutely wonderful with handling our wedding. We were unsure with the event and the details leading up to the wedding and all it took was one phone call before she sent a long email easing our minds. The event was outside and thirty minutes before it began to rain and they executed the transition inside seamlessly. All of the guests commented about how wonderful the food was. Our menu consisted of: potato crusted mahi maui, marscapone and fig stuffed chicken, and garlic olive oil bow tie pasta, rosemary potatoes and a platter of all different vegetables. Our hors d'oeuvre were: spinach pesto stuffed mushrooms, the mozzarella, tomato, basil bites and the cheese display. Everything turned out so wonderful and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Deb intervened during the fiasco trying to figure out how to bustle my dress and we were able to take the leftovers home. I highly recommend them for your wedding.

We have gotten so many compliments on the food that Elite provided for our reception on June 8, 2013. Everyone was impressed with the lovely presentation of the food and how tasty it was. One of our guests told us it was the best food he's ever had at a wedding! Elite was flexible enough to be able to provide a meal for a couple of guests with gluten intolerance, and we really appreciated that! Working with Elite was great - everyone we talked to was professional and got back to us quickly to answer any of our questions. And the staff working our reception was so pleasant! We would highly recommend Elite for your any party or reception!

Great caterer and great food! All our guests were really impressed with the presentation as well as the food itself. Many folks said it was the best catered food they've experienced at a reception. Staff and servers were professional and courteous. Planning was made simple and fun - best buy for the dollar for what you get in the greater Dayton area. Would recommend Elite catering to anyone who needs one!

My now husband I thought this team did an amazing job! We went with a served salad and buffet style dinner, however, they offer a variety of options. We recieved many compliments on the food from our quests and the presentation of the food was gorgeous. I can't think of anything I would have had them do differently!! Also, we worked with Beth. I don't know if she works with all of the clients, but she is one of the sweetest people I 've ever met and a ton of fun to talk to at the consultations!! : )

Elite Catering was wonderful. The food was fantastic; everyone at the reception commented on how good the food was. Their presentation was beautiful. The staff was very professional and prompt. We had a plated salad and a buffet for 200 people and they were able to get everyone through in a timely manner. Considering the venue didn't have a kitchen (historical museum) made it even more amazing.

Elite caterering went above and beyond my expectations for quality of food, presentation and service. The company specializes in fresh food, which is very evident in the taste...they also specialize in presentation, no chaffing dishes....I picked an inexpensive dinner and they made it look spectacular! This made me feel fantastic. They were so easy to work with and so professional. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants exceptional food, service and presentation! They exceeded my expectations in every area! They are truly the best caterering company the city of Dayton has to offer! Many of my guest commented all during the night how fantastic the food was....doesn't usually happen at a wedding! Elite Catering provided the catering services for my July 1st wedding. I can not say enought about Renee and Margot and their wonderful staff. They let us have two tastings. One for my mother and I when we were looking for a caterer. And then a second one when my fiance' was in town so we could finalize the menu. Their presentation was so creative. We had an outdoor wedding and right before dinner was to be served a wind storm came through. Their staff made sure everything was secure and taken care of. The wind storm blew the candles out that were being used to warm the food on the buffet. They made sure that the food stayed warm by continously changing it out and replacing it with the food that was warm. The bartendar was wonderful as well. The entire staff of Elite Catering was so friendly and wonderful to work with!

Choosing Elite Catering was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. The food itself was incredible! We actually wondered after our initial tasting if it would really be just as wonderful when prepared for 100... it was! Maybe even better. All night long (and actually after our wedding too) our guests were raving about the food, many of which said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. In addition to the scrumptious food, Margot went above and beyond to ensure the reception went smoothly filling in as a wedding coordinator of sorts (no extra charge!). She coordinated the arrival times of our other vendors, ordered our dance floor, helped decorate the reception, and throughout the night was present to make sure all continued to go smoothly. The entire catering staff was incredibly professional and friendly. We would highly recommend Elite Catering to other couples!

I Simply loved Elite Catering. Renee gave me exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. I asked for things that I thought were not going to be possible, but somehow she pulled it off. Elite Catering is a wonderful company and did an exceptional job with every detail of my wedding! We had a buffet and all the food was extremely hot and delicious. My favorite was their salad with fresh pears, feta cheese and these perfect nuts. (I highly recommend it!).
Elite Catering also did my flowers that we placed on our guest tables as centerpieces. They incorporated these flowers on our dinner buffet as well and I thought that was an excellent addition that I did not even ask for!
I highly recommend Elite Catering. They were professional and did an excellent job with every detail. Thank you Elite for making my day exactly the way I have dreamed about it since I was a little girl!

I can not say enough good things about this company. I interviewed several companies before being referred to Elite...and thank God I was! I had high expectations for my New Years Eve reception and was really worried that a Dayton company would not be able to provide me with everything I wanted. Elite Catering delivered! The food was amazing, the service professional and efficient, and the decor was stunning! I have been getting so many calls and emails about how wonderful everything was. Elite took care of my food, flowers (ceremony and reception), and ceremony coordination (not in a church) and worked with all my other vendors to make sure everything was flawless.

Elite Catering was easy to work with and delivered the results we had hoped for. They are one of the preferred caterers for our venue (Polen Farm in Kettering, OH) and that made it great, because they were familiar with the setting and everything went smoothly. They are EXCELLENT about responding to emails and they helped customize our menu to meet the vegetarian needs of myself and a few guests, plus found creative ways to work within my budget! The result was fantastic. People are still talking about the hot hors d'ouerves they served at cocktail hour! Definitely consider these as a more memorable alternative to the traditional cheese/veggie trays!

We were so impressed with Elite Catering on how flawless and unique they made our rehearsal dinner and reception. We've gotten non-stop compliments on the extraordinary job they did with the food and the decor. The centerpieces at both events were elegant and one of a kind. The food was absolutely amazing! I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful my experience with Elite Catering was. From the very first tasting, to the end of my wedding day, they were a joy to work with. Every person I have talked to since my wedding, has mentioned how delicious the food was. It was most definitely not your typical wedding food. I had plated dinners and a full service bar at our reception. The reception venue had no kitchen, and it was winter...cold! Elite Catering was amazing. They had worked at this venue and the food turned out to be wonderful. I received tons of compliments.

They worked with me the entire process. They reviewed details closer to the date to make sure we had it all covered and to go over the timeline of the event.

I provided the liquor as my party was smaller, but they provided the barware and service. It was great.

All of the people serving dinner were very professional. Everything was according to plan.

The appetizer displays were incredible as well!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this vendor worked out. And the food....scrumptious!

Renee and her staff are wonderful! They not only prepared and plated beautiful food for our wedding but also helped decorate and organize the reception -- they were there for everything and anything we might need. They are truly a full service catering staff -- from the food to the dishes/silverware to displays (they wanted to know what flowers we were using as to incorporate them into their food presentation!) to even getting us the special tableclothes we so desired. I had so many people tell me it was the absolute best food (especially the summer salad) they had ever had at a wedding. And Renee was so easy to work with, as far as the planning and meeting in the months leading up to the wedding. We loved loved loved Elite catering and would recommmend them to anyone.

we decided on a buffet for our dinner at the reception and were unsure how the food would taste as we had our taste test the food was prepared individually for each. The food turned out fabulous. I heard nothing but positive comments from my guests about the food. The Caterer cut my cake in a professional manner and got out of the cake the amount of individual slices they estimated. The attire of the servers and bartender was very nice and very well presented. They were very flexible as if we wanted to make a last minute change they were willing to accommodate our wishes. The presentation of the food was not your typical buffet set up and was very beautiful and matched our decor perfectly. I was also impressed that they were able to find a way to have a buffet served upstairs in the barn. All the other caterers that we spoke with had to serve the buffet on the lower lever causing an inconvenience. We were overall very pleased with the service we received.

Elite provided a fantastic meal and cocktail hour for our wedding. We have received many compliments on our food, not only in taste but also the presentation. Elite offers so many options that there is literally something for everyone. We were able to do two different tastings, which was extremely helpful. We had a plated dinner, and with about 160 guests, I was so pleased with how quickly Elite was able to serve everyone. I would definitely recommend Elite!

Jennifer was our main contact at the Masonic Center and for Elite Catering for our wedding reception and she was an absolute joy to work with! Elite did a fantastic job with everything! I used them for both catering and flowers. Even though the catering and flowers are separate divisions, all of the staff worked together and both sides were familiar with everything that was going on with our wedding.

Catering: I used Elite for food (buffet and passed hors d'oeuvres), cake cutting, and china rental (but not linen and bar). My venue was unique and there was no kitchen, but the food came out great (and hot) and the service was phenomenal. We had an additional request for Elite to set up a cookie table for us after dinner. Friends and family made the cookies but Elite handled all of it for us! Their food is fantastic and they understand how to make everything easy and nice for a wedding. They were also good value and were actually less expensive than other caterers I looked at.

Flowers: I didn't provide a lot of specific direction for the flowers...other than colors and a few types of flowers I didn't really know what I wanted. But Jennifer from Elite had great ideas for our wedding party flowers and centerpieces and everything ended up exceeding our expectations! They also added decor on the buffet table for the reception.

Elite Cattering

We used Elite catering for our wedding and were very pleased! We decided we would have stations for our guests, and were told Elite specializes in them! They hosted us for a fun-filled tasting night where we got to try various dishes. Then we met with them again to nail down all of the details. Everyone was very communicative and helpful. The night of the wedding our stations were a hit! People are still raving to this day about how delicious our choices were! My favorite was the martini glass salad, it was very cute on top of our place settings! Elite even decorated the stations with signs to fit our wedding theme! We highly recommend using Elite for your big day!

My mother has used Elite Catering before for other events so she was familiar with their high standards of food and presentation.

I worked with Luanne and Megan who were very helpful every step of the way. One thing to keep in mind is that due to their heavy schedules, they don't get back to you right away which can be a bit disconcerting for a spazzy type A bride (me). However, I shouldn't have worried at all because everything was perfect and they were definitely on their game.

A huge benefit to Elite is that they provide decor and a great presentation of the food. I've never been a fan of buffet style weddings where everyone lines up like one would at a school cafeteria. They made a really elegant presentation that went well with our theme.

The food itself was incredible and highly complimented by my guests. I was very happy to take their recommendations during our tasting and that ended up being some of the favorite dishes served. Another thing to note is that the planning itself was on key. We only had TWO to-go containers at the end of the night. That is very important to me as I prefer to not be wasteful. The bar tenders were so-so. I was told by quite a few people that they seemed to be more interested in dancing to the music than serving my guests. I was also frustrated with the water running dry a few too many times.

I would recommend Elite Catering and use them again.

We used Elite Catering for our wedding reception. Elite had creative, delicious menus and was able to make adjustments to fit our budget. Elite was great! They saw my vision and kept it the main concern. I started planning with them a year before my wedding and I chose them because they didn’t feel like “Dayton Ohio.” The presentation of the food was gorgeous and it tasted great too! There were a few things I specifically requested that were missed come wedding day but nothing worth sweating over. I wanted something totally different and they delivered. Emails can take some time to be replied and I had a flower meeting (because they also do flowers) with them too which was brushed under the rug and I never heard anything back from. First and foremost I will say the food itself is wonderful! The food portions are amazing, we had over 250 guest and we had plenty of food to serve the next day for out town guest, family and friends...because of the food left over the wedding carried on the day after! =) Any who, the quality of service I feel is great, however there were moments where I felt as though they were not to professional when it came to working together as a team. One to many times I was told different things from different individuals. I would be assigned to one person after another which made it difficult because it seems that I had to continue to repeat our menu request. The very first lady we dealt with, she was amazing. I'm not sure what happened to her, but she made us feel comfortable. Needless to say the day of my wedding everything literally ran behind because Elite Catering was in contract with our reception vendor and they were responsible for opening up the venue to allow my wedding planner to get in and they were over an hour late. When they finally allowed my wedding planner to enter, I found myself (the bride) transporting things to the reception hall because delivery companies had to drop things off at my home because the venue accessible. From that point on my day was rushed...I missed out on photos with my bride maids & MOH's because of Elite. Oh well, it is what it is...once at the reception I can say Elite Catering definitely did an amazing job, my set up was nice. I had so many compliments on the food of choice. They even through in some extra décor to add to my Fairytale Wedding. I would recommend this company to the any future Mr. & Mrs. I would just tell them to do like I did and document everything when speaking with them, this way if any thing comes up you have documentation of your own. My husband and I were very excited about using Elite Catering as our caterer for our wedding. We had been to a friend's wedding previously who used them and the food was wonderful. Working with Elite Catering was not stressful; they were very accommodating and professional. The service at our wedding was exceptional; the ladies were very kind and helpful. Sadly enough, the only food that didn't turn out how we expected was mine and my husband's. The guests had great food, and everything was exactly what we ordered. Unfortunately, my husband and I ended up with the wrong entree for dinner. We had placed a special-order for Potato Crusted Mahi Mahi and we ended up getting a tough piece of crusted sea bass or something funky; nevertheless, not what we had at our taste test at all! We couldn't eat it. My husband and I were disappointed that we ended up with the worst dinner at our own wedding. Needless to say, if our dinner would have been right we would have given Elite Catering an exceptional 5 star rating.

On the wedding day, the Event Manager introduced herself and told us that if we needed anything to come to her. Some of our guests had food allergies and were vegetarians, Elite was accommodating and the Event Manager passed out those plates to the specific individuals. After dinner, we didn't see her again. Our DJ announced our cake cutting and no one from Elite was around. We cut our cake and then my husband had to go search for someone to start cutting the cake for our guests. He could not find our Event Manager and it took several minutes to find a representative from Elite. (Per our contract Elite was to provide professional cake cutting.) It was brought to my attention a little later in the night that the server allowed children to cut and serve the cake to our guests. And by cut, I mean the children were grabbing handfuls of cake and smashing them unto plates. I went up the cake table and the cake was a disaster. The cake my guests were to eat did not even look like cake! When I confronted on of the servers she told me "it's OK, I made them wear gloves". This was completely unacceptable.

Several other instances occurred that evening. Servers were rude to guests that went up to get second plates. There was not enough food put out for hors d'oeuvre, dinner, or the pretzel bar. The plates used for dinner were lunch sized portions, which are smaller than dinner plates. Drinks were being removed from tables too quickly, forcing our guests to return to the bar more often.

We obviously were very disappointed in the service Elite provided and contacted Renee the day following our wedding. We explained the situation and our frustration. Renee was very professional and apologized for the service we received.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the quality of the food. Everything was delicious. But the service that we received was unacceptable. We appreciate Renee speaking with us and taking the time to try and make the situation right.

Overlooked and money pinching

I'll start with the positive... They did a great job with decorating and putting my vision into practice, the room flip during cocktail hour seemed smooth, and the food was good.

Now onto the negative... We were hustled a little when picking them, promises made just for us to sign but none of it was true. The initial "coordinator" left and we were not informed, we got passed to someone else but seemed like our communications were not passed along. Or tasting was with a coordinator that was not our coordinator - we thought we figured some of our issues out, but when we met with our coordinator we found out they didn't communicate with each other. 6 weeks before the wedding they tried to increase our prices again, they "didn't realize it still said that" in the contract that prices were locked at 90 days. And finally our coordinator was only present during the prep process when we thought she would be present all evening. The catering coordinator did not do what we thought. We missed out on our favorite cake flavor because it was all given away.

Elite was very difficult to work with. As the bride, and main planner of our wedding, when I would send an email to our contact, I would not receive a response for three weeks. Sometimes I would never receive a response and would have to call and leave a message. They were rigid in their willingness to work with our ideas and sometimes rude in their delivery of service. I felt like there were hidden fees and underhanded tactics to ultimately change our vision to their vision. It was a very frustrating experience. Their only saving grace was the director of catering at our venue. She was amazing, friendly, and kind. I loved working with her and her staff-- plus the food was very good.

Although the set up and decoration Elite Catering provided was nice I was very disappointed that they ran ouf of chicken before 45 of our guests got to eat. I felt that they should have been more prepared and I think it was extremely unprofessional of them to not have a back up plan. I do not think I would use this catering company again due to that major problem.

I had really high hopes for elite until multiple problems started coming around on my wedding day and after. Starting off when we arrived at the reception I was personally running around cleaning up after the staff when I was promised I would not have to lift a finger they had baskets that were supposed to go in the bathroom that were sitting about 20 feet away in the hallway where the guest were about to walk in they also have things on the tables were the guest were about to sit that I was personally moving and handing off to the staff as they walk past. Then we had purchased up lights with the expectation that the house lights were to be turned down...that did not happen even after 5 guests including myself and my parents asked multiple staff members to turn down. After the wedding we got back from our honeymoon we were informed that they had broken our champagne glasses and then today I went to open the boxes of chargers that we had used on the tables in there was still food on them from the wedding almost 9 months ago we were told that they would be wiped off and that we wouldn’t have to worry about it but they were literally slices of cheese and pieces of salmon on the plates. We were also told that our coordinator from elite would be there the entire time I saw her for the last 45 minutes in one of the staff members told me that she had just shown up they have been trying to find her all night. Needless to say I trusted them with my wedding and was promised I had absolutely nothing to worry about but clearly I did. Coming from someone that has been in the wedding industry and was a wedding planner a few years ago I was thoroughly let down.

I thought a lot about whether or not I was going to write a review about my experience with Elite, and I finally decided I should, because if I had known what was going to happen, I would have chosen another caterer.
I had contacted other caterers, and Elite seemed so professional and thorough that I thought they were the best option. We spent a long time going over the menu and deciding what we wanted, on top of spending a lot of money for dinner/appetizers/bar. My husband and I are both vegetarians, and we were really concerned about having a vegetarian meal that was going to be filling and enjoyable for everyone. Elite assured us that this wasn't going to be a problem, and finally we decided on a goat cheese roulade that was delicious. On the day of our wedding, the food that arrived was not at all what we had purchased, and I was mortified. Instead of a goat cheese roulade, they served some kind of soggy eggplant that I would have been embarrassed to serve (and I was embarrassed that everyone thought I would have chosen that!) as well as serving hard, mixed vegetables when we had ordered something totally different. I had to walk out of the dining room at one point because I was so disappointed and was about to start crying. The buffet they had set up was just a mess! My mom and I, as well as our wedding planner, had spent an entire year planning this once in a lifetime event. We were so careful with every detail, and Elite nearly ruined that with their carelessness. I would have gone with someone else easily, because Elite is not the only show in town. I wasn't going to write a review, but six months after the wedding I still look back on my wedding day and think "it was a lot of fun, but the food was terrible and embarrassing!". We ended up getting half of our money back, but that won't make up for the awful meal and mortifying experience. Elite needs to take their role more seriously, and realize that people put a lot of effort into planning their weddings.

DO NOT TRUST IN THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR BIG DAY!!! I trusted in this company for my big day and now I regret that decision! This company has grown too fast and they can not keep up with their growing business. The things that were promised to me on my big day were not done. The only thing good I can say about this company is the food that "was" at the wedding was good. There were a lot of items that the company promised (and we paid for) that were not at the wedding. The "presentation" of the food the company "pride's" themselves on was not carried out on my wedding day. My husband, mother, father and myself spent the first half of the reception finding things wrong with what the caterers were doing. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! They have grown too big too fast. I was very disappointed in "Elite" catering.
