A beautiful touch to the wedding evening!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Miguel and his services :) my husband and I knew we wanted Spanish guitar to be part of our day and we were beyond happy to find Miguel. He was able to play requests I had and also learn one of my favorites as well. Super professional and attentive to messages. It truly made our cocktail hour even more special and the guest loved it. Beautiful Spanish Guitar

We hired Miguel to play before and during our wedding ceremony, as well as during the cocktail hour, and he did not disappoint! His music is beautiful and he was such an elegant addition to our day. He wasn't familiar with the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to, but he learned it for me and it was amazing! My only regret is that as the busy bride I didn't get to enjoy more of his Spanish guitar!

Beautiful Music and Easy to Work With!

Miguel played our wedding at the Hermosa Inn. We are so grateful we chose him. His music added so much to the reception. It was beautiful, subtle and exactly what we were hoping for. Miguel was also incredibly kind and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know.

Rehearsal Dinner Music

Miguel played during a family Rehearsal Dinner. His music was the perfect choice for this event….instrumental guitar background music. He was so professional and wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend Miguel!

Absolutely beautiful music

We were thrilled with Miguel de Maria. My wedding guests were raving about him and his music during our ceremony and reception. Excellent from Start to Finish

Miguel performed at our wedding for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and first dance. He did a fantastic job, and we got so many compliments from our guests. It also made our first dance very special since he took the time to learn the song we requested. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is interested.

Incredible musician for your event

Miguel was great to work with - very responsive, and provided a lot of information to help set up the event. We dealt with some small weather issues the night of, and Miguel was so easy going about all of it. Everyone at the party raved about the music and how it really helped make the event above & beyond!!

Talented and easy to work with!

Miguel was great to work with. His talent provided an amazing element to our wedding ceremony and our happy hour cocktail reception. His A/V set up was affordable and worked with our venue, despite the wind we had that day, he was able to pivot and provide a different microphone so our officiant could be well heard. I highly recommend Miguel if you're looking for a Spanish and elegant flair. Thanks Miguel!!

Excellent service and beautiful music!!!!!

We were so pleased with the overall experience with Miguel De Maria. He was well worth the investment! The price was very affordable and very competitive!! From the moment I emailed him for his services until the day of our wedding!! He was very quick and attentive to respond to me and I trusted him right away to do my ceremony and cocktail hour music!! It was completely stress free working with him!! I didn't even have to, nor did I want to pick any of the songs out for the day of our wedding. I trusted him to choose everything!! I was so pleased how beautiful everything turned out!! All of my guest loved him!! I would hire him in a second if I needed his services again and would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants beautiful music at their wedding or any special event!!! If there was any way to make the Royal Palms any more enchanting - than I highly suggest that you hire Miguel. My husband and I knew from the start we wanted some form of acoustic music for our ceremony and reception. Being that my hubby is Latino and I grew up traveling to Mexico every summer, we knew it would be Spanish guitar. Miguel came highly-recommended from both our wedding planner and several DJs we were prospecting. He clearly has a great name here in the Valley for his work and it's much deserved. I am beyond pleased with the ambiance he created which completely fulfilled our wedding vision (romantic, boho-chic). Thank you, Miguel. I want to get married again so we can hear your beautiful melodies. <3 Perhaps an anniversary gift to ourselves.

Miguel was wonderful to work with - going above and beyond to meet our needs. He was very accommodating agreeing to learn new songs, without hesitation. He even agreed to sing one of the songs, even though he doesn't generally sing.

His music was perfect for our wedding and we were very happy with the service he provided. We would recommend him to anyone else who was looking for a Spanish guitar player for their wedding or event.

We are so glad we hired Miguel to play during guests' arrival, our ceremony and the cocktail hour that followed. He learned the song we specially requested for the ceremony and played it beautifully. His cocktail hour songs were the perfect complement and helped set the tone. I worked with Miguel de Maria recently and hired him for the 4th Annual White Party of the Junior League of Phoenix. I couldn't have found a better artist for our fundraising event! Miguel added such an elegant touch to our 25th anniversary party. We began with cocktails in the Adobe room at Lon's, where he played his beautiful Latin guitar for 40 of our friends. A bit before we began dinner in the Stetson room, he discreetly moved his setup so that when our guests entered the room, the sound of his music would seamlessly flow from one venue to the other. It was a wonderful time, with lively conversation and much laughter. But the feedback we heard time after time was how much everyone loved Miguel's music and how it added to their enjoyment of the evening. He's a class act all the way.

Miguel was amazing and everyone loved him. It was so nice to work with him. I live in another country and he made it so easy to plan for the music and when the big day finally arrived I knew it was going to be perfect. Miguel played our event at The Wright House in Mesa, AZ in October 2016. Our entire experience (from booking, to billing, to communication, to the event performace) was top notch. He played Spanish Guitar for our garden party event and was the highlight to our elegant evening. Miguel understood crowd demeanor and event-flow cues without me having to instruct him, knowing exactly when to break for toasts, speeches, and presentations seamlessly. I can’t say enough great things about Miguel. We got married in Desert Mountain in Scottsdale and their event people highly recommended him. I live in Colorado so I wasn’t able to meet him but he was always very responsive, sent me some samples of his music and I was sold!- We chose what we wanted him to play for different parts of the ceremony, cocktail hour and part of the dinner. All our guests were wowed! I can’t thank him enough for being such a professional and for making our wedding such a special, fun and elegant event.

My dream was to have live music played prior to the wedding ceremony and during the reception. Miguel was perfect. He is so talented and professional. He quickly responds to any questions that you might have. He arrives early and is a joy to work with. He created such an elegant atmosphere with his music I had wanted a certain song played that wasn't in Miguel's repertoire and that he likes several weeks to learn it. With only a weeks notice, Miguel played our song as we were pronounced husband and wife! What a gift! All our guests were very impressed with him. He is a gem.

This review is a long time coming. Miguel provided music back in February for an 80th birthday party we held for my Mother-in-Law in Sun City Az. Miguel is the consummate professional - answers inquiries fast, reasonable prices, shows up on time, dresses superbly, is courteous, and above all else is an excellent musician. We ended up purchasing one of his CD's for my Mother-in-Law who in turn bought me a CD from Miguel's web site for my last birthday! If you're on the fence about hiring him do not hesitate!

Miguel did a fantastic job at our wedding and was great to communicate with beforehand. I didn't even meet him in person or hear him play until the wedding day, and he was as perfect as I hoped he would be. My only regret is not being able to listen more to him during cocktail hour (I was off doing photos)! Beautiful music and knows what he's doing.

My career has given me the opportunity to work with Miguel on several occasions. When my clients ask who I would recommend for their reception and dinner, Miguel is always first on my list. So naturally when I got engaged, I knew he would be the perfect fit for my outdoor ceremony and cocktail reception. He is extremely professional and punctual, which can sometimes be hard to find with so many vendors out there. His music is so elegant and natural. Miguel provided beautiful music for both our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Obviously he plays Spanish guitar beautifully -- I even purchased one of his CDs months ahead of time to play as background music at the bridal shower, etc. His professionalism was truly appreciated; each phone call/email were a breeze.
In terms of "flexibility," we basically had to tell him that we didn't know if he would be playing inside/outside, what would be available to him or anything else that he may have wanted to know ahead of time because the days leading up to our wedding were full of rain. We were moving on to "plan D" the morning of the wedding. Miguel told us not to worry and he made it work when he got there that day.
Miguel was never a vendor that we had to worry about. I would recommend his services to anyone looking for classy, professional, quality entertainment. Having him play at our wedding was very special to us and we only wish that we had gotten to sit down during cocktail hour to listen to him more ourselves!

Miguel did an absolutely beautiful job on our ceremony and cocktail music. As a wedding planner I have heard many musicians play. When it was my turn to get married, I knew Miguel had to be there. He has a incredible way of capturing the audience with his music to make it a really beautiful experience. When he was playing our ceremony music, he had everyone in tears. He learned a song for our recessional as we walked back up the aisle as husband and wife, and it was such a fun song and we appreciated him making the effort. He is extremely talented! Spanish guitar is a really unique instrument and sound to have at a Arizona wedding. It makes it feel that much more special - but what is great about Miguel is that he can also play classical guitar - and the traditional wedding songs! He was a joy to work with! His music speaks for itself!! I will continue to endorse him as a wedding planner to my clients and am thankful he was at my wedding :)

Miguel was a truly wonderful part of our wedding. Miguel was so amazing for our wedding, he was responsive and communicative all the way leading up to the event to make sure he played the music we wanted.

We asked for non traditional wedding music and he chose the song, it was beautiful and absolutely perfect. All of our guests loved the atmosphere that he brought to the wedding.

We had a small garden wedding. Miguel played while guests were arriving, the ceremony and a few hours while we were chatting with everyone. It was the feel we were looking for and the perfect type of entertainment for our venue. My husband and I adore Spanish guitar. Miguel knocked it out of the park. My husband and I are lucky to have had Miguel be the guitarist for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He was perfect for our Hacienda venue and relatively small group (60 people). His beautiful sound carried well at our site and set the perfect mood. Miguel was professional and so talented. He showed up early and played for us all night - and even managed to put the one baby at our wedding to sleep with his beautiful guitar! He was unobtrusive and very gracious and was a delight to work with. My only regret leaving my entire wedding was not getting the chance to sincerely thank him - he did such a wonderful job!

Miguel was really great in helping us and his website had some good sample music since we didn't know many names. He also offered to learn music if we wanted something he didn't know.
We used him for ceremony music before, during and after... Then he relocated to play for an hour during the cocktail hour before our reception / diner. It was perfect! Everyone... and I mean EVERYONE loved his music. It was very classy and along the same price as some cheezy DJ, but much better.
I highly recommend his services.

Miguel's guitar playing was exquisite! He has a beautiful selection of music we were able to listen to and choose from, and he also learned a song that was special to us for part of our intimate, sunset ceremony.

Miguel's music was absolutely beautiful during the ceremony and even though we didn't hear it during the cocktail reception (we were out taking pictures) we received tons of compliments on his music. Miguel was quick to respond to any email or question and even learned a new song for our niece to perform.

Miguel did a great job during our wedding. First of all, he fits his business name: very elegant and skillful playing. His styles and tempos helped with the flow of our wedding and reception. He set up at his two stations without any fuss and was very professional, yet still very friendly. He could melt into the background when appropriate, just creating a peaceful mood, but if you are a fellow musician, you will see that his playing stands out.

Miguel played for 90 minutes at our wedding and he was very discreet. We had given him the time and place, and chosen some of the music and he showed up on time, set up and was there when guests arrive.

He played beautiful music, before, during and after the ceremony. It was perfect.
