  Above & Beyond Impressed

  Laura was AMAZING to work with! She's professional, reliable, personable, talented and detailed. Her cake testing was very thorough and she was more than happy to accommodate any request. Her flavors were very tasty and we opted for a white cake with almond mousse and raspberry jam. We received numerous compliments on the taste, as well as the gorgeous design. She truly took our vision and made it come to life! You will not be disappointed at all when you choose Laura!

  Five Stars

  I shopped around for a baker/decorator for my wedding cake for a long time. I had difficulty finding a place that was reasonably priced, had the type of cake that I wanted, and tasted delicious. When I found Elegance in Sugar, I knew I wanted Laura to be the one to make our wedding cake! She did such a beautiful job and she was so fun to be around.
  
  Also, we watched her on Cake Wars and she absolutely should have won. Recommend!

  I am SO happy I chose Laura for our wedding cake. It was PERFECT! Laura is so easy to work with, organized, quick to respond, and professional. She was on time and just a great energy to work with. I cannot say enough great things about her work - the cake was AMAZING. We had a longer engagement and took our time, so didn't book many vendors on the spot, but as soon as we had her cake at the tasting, we knew we had to book her right then so no one else snagged her for our date!!! The best cake I've ever had - and our guests kept talking about it too!! My husband keeps staring at the 1-year anniversary top layer in the freezer and I have a hunch it won't make it to 1 year lol! The cake was absolutely worth every penny, we are so happy. We had a simple cake but I know that you can definitely trust Laura with anything you envision - she is so talented! Cannot thank her enough!!!!!!! You will be so happy to pick her for your event!!!!

  The cake that she makes are the most beautiful pieces of art that I have ever seen! She brought us to her house to design our cake and was able to make my dream a reality. Everything on our cake was edible and hand made. Our guests were talking about our cake for weeks following the wedding. On top of it all, IT WAS DELICIOUS! We did a 5 layer chocolate tort and it was amazing! Highly recommended!!

  Laura made the most beautiful wedding cake for our wedding. Choosing a wedding cake was one of the hardest decisions for us. We were so picky about the taste of a cake and we really wanted one that our guests would enjoy eating. When we tasted Laura's cake, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. It was so incredibly moist and the fresh fruit was delicious. Not only that, but the cake she designed for us was exactly what we've always wanted. It was hand decorated in all lace and you knew that so many hours were dedicated to the design. I got so many compliments from our guests that it was one of the most beautiful cakes they've ever seen at a wedding. Laura was so easy to work with and really wanted to make us happy. We were able to give her our cake toppers ahead of time with no problem at all. If you're looking for a cake that both looks and tastes amazing, definitely get it form Laura!

  Laura made an absolutely stunning cake for us. It was truly a work of art and fit our theme and colors perfectly. The sugar flowers were magnificent. We provided some pictures from pinterest as inspiration and the cake turned out even better than we could have imagined. It was also delicious and leftovers 6 days later were still delicious and moist. All of our guests raved about how good the cake was. Laura was so great to work with. We were on a limited budget and she helped us get the most bang for our buck by suggesting areas to save versus areas to splurge. SHe was very helpful, personable, and responsive. I highly recommend her!

  My husband surprised me with our cake and I couldn't be more pleased. I heard nothing but good things about Laura and the whole process. I also heard that this was the first time she ever had just a groom come to pick out the cake! What can I say, I like to do things differently! The cake was delicious and looked simply beautiful, simple yet elegant. Laura hand made several Stem Dyed Blue Orchid flower heads to trickle down the side of 4 diamond tiers. Amazing! Thank you so much!

  Laura was referred to us by our florist. The second we met with her i knew i wanted her to do our wedding cake. Not only was her talent outstanding, but she was also extremely professional and personable. She was so easy to work with,so enthusiastic had so many great ideas and was open to anything. You could really tell she has a love and passion for what she does, so i felt secure and knew i wouldn't have to worry about a thing. Not only do her cakes look amazing but they taste amazing too. They are rich with flavor and moist, not dry like some cakes can be. She also did the cake for our wedding shower. We had gotten so many compliments from people about how good it tasted and how beautiful it was, and they were all talking about how they couldn't wait to see what our wedding cake would look like. Which of course they were all amazed by that too. People couldn't stop raving again on the presentation and taste! I would recommend her to anybody without hesitation.

  I found Laura at a bridal show. One taste of the samples she brought and we were hooked. I wanted a cake that actually tasted good rather than the same old dry or tasteless cakes I've had at almost every other wedding. We told her that we wanted a less traditionally decorated cake. We wanted a big fudgey chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream and chocolate mousse filling. It was fabulous. You could smell the chocolate a mile away and it was absolutely beautiful to boot with big chocolate fondant ribbons. Delicious!! People went out of their way to say they loved the cake and have asked for her name. She's super easy to work with and has lots of ideas. She helped me find the look I wanted and I just left the rest in her hands. It could not possibly have been better.

She prepares fresh and delicious taste tests for you and takes you through a binder of all of her cakes to figure out what will be the best for your event. Our guests RAVED about the cake - it was moist, and the frosting was so light and delicious. I'm sure people were going back for seconds!
