My mom sister and I spent a weekend searching for my dress at a bunch of stores in the DC area, and we almost didn’t go to Elegance by Roya (Alexandria) since it was our 5th stop and I thought I found my dress earlier that day. We decided to go anyway and am so glad we did. We worked with Farah and she was extremely helpful finding a few dresses and then working from my comments to get better and better. They had a huge selection of dresses at every price point and everyone was positive and friendly. She ended up suggesting a dress that was extremely similar to my top contender from that morning but at about half the price and with even better details.
Rhe’a did my alterations and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. We ended up adding a bustle and buttons and they were absolutely perfect. She was so patient and had me come in multiple times to ensure my dress fit like a glove, and the final alterations were amazing. I absolutely loved my dress and Elegance by Roya was so easy to work with from beginning to end.

I had the most amazing experience working with Emily Jeter as my bridal consultant. She was incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely invested in helping me find the dress. I was having a hard time making a final decision, so I scheduled a follow-up appointment—not realizing she wasn’t scheduled to work that day. To my surprise and gratitude, Emily came in on her day off just to be there for me.
She asked all the right questions, really listened to my concerns, and made me feel completely at ease during what could have been a stressful moment. Her dedication and care went above and beyond—I truly can’t thank her enough. Emily is an absolute star, and anyone would be lucky to work with her! -

Elegance By Roya Saved My Wedding
I'll start with my mistakes, because they're epic; don't do what I did. If you're anything like me, you work at least 60 hours a week, and online solutions to planning your wedding feel like about what you can manage. I was there. I have the additional handicap that I really, really do not know how to Girl, and neither do any of my female friends. That's true of everything from hair to clothes to weddings. So, being busy and not remotely knowing how to go about getting a wedding dress live from people in a boutique, I ordered a wedding dress, custom, from a California dressmaker. Done, right? I can check the box and move on? Nope. Disaster. It arrived a couple of weeks before the wedding, and it was...orange. There is just no other word for this color. And since everything else about the wedding is rose gold, or dusty rose, or desert rose, or...well, you get it. Even if I don't know how to Girl, I know that orange bridal gown plus rose-clad bridesmaids is bad. I spent a day or two thinking maybe I could live with it. I tried it on one more time and looked at myself in the mirror, and I realized just how violently I hated that dress, and how awful I looked. Panic began to set in. I took a day off (unheard of) and went around to a bunch of local bridal boutiques, and came up empty at the end of the first day. I took another day off (seriously unheard of). It wasn't until I got to Elegance by Roya in Alexandria that afternoon that I started finding dresses I honestly loved, and someone who got me to slow down and give up the desperate 'beggars can't be choosers, I just need something that fits and isn't orange' mindset, in favor of a dress that was the answer to a dream. Within a week, this dress was customized, tailored, ready, and gorgeous. These people are absolutely amazing, and know how to work with you calmly and effectively in what's basically a rolling crisis. Thank you, brilliant lifesaving people! -

the most beautiful dresses!
Elegance by Roya has the best collection of dresses. It's located very conveniently in the Tysons Corner area. They have a broad range of designers. My advisor was Nicole. Even though she had very little to work with (I didn't know exactly what I wanted), somehow she pulled the most stunning Lazaro gown. It was the 4th dress I tried on and later the same day, I came to get it! I also did all my alterations there and wow, they are talented. I am only 5'2" but somehow they made this beautiful ballgown fit me to perfection. I was nervous bustling my dress and if it would be strong enough, but there were zero problems with my bustle holding throughout the whole wedding night! They also had the best recommendations for my veil which I also purchased there. They are a fantastic team there, 10/10 recommend. -

Amazing experience! Best bridal salon in DC area!
From the minute we walked in the door the staff was wonderful! The salon is beautiful ,and they had a very nice selection of dresses. My daughter was treated like a queen (without asking for that!).
Farrah is the best bridal consultant in the DC area. We def went to a few other shops before this one. Farrah went out of her way to help my daughter customize her dream dress. Nothing was too much for her. She always greeted us with a smile. I would recommend her to anyone!
Betty the seamstress did a phenomenal job on altering the dress ,as well as customizing it. It was a BIG job! She was also always smiling and pleasant.
We looked forward to working with Farrah, as much as seeing the next stages of the dress in progress.

EBR team is a dream!
This was the tenth and final bridal boutique I visited on my seemingly endless quest to find the perfect dress and I was welcomed to a beautiful, serene, wonderful salon filled with intelligent and experienced staff. The dress selection has a wide range although I wanted something pretty classic. I finally found the dress of my dreams and entrusted Zena with the alterations and she is a WIZARD. She expertly altered my intricate and delicate lace topper (how??) and was an absolute genius with my "invisible" bustle. The dress and bustle were strong on the day-of and everything was absolutely perfect. Thank you EBR! -

Everyone there was very nice, the shop was beautiful, and the dresses were amazing! I worked with Zoe and she was so helpful throughout my search. I did 2 appointments with them while searching for my dress. Zoe listened to everything I was looking for and paid attention to what I liked and didn't like in each dress to pick out better dresses for the next round. I also super appreciated that they kept my budget in mind and didn't pull any dresses that were out of budget without double checking first. Definitely recommend looking there! -

I purchased my Mikaella wedding dress and did alterations through Elegance by Roya in Tysons Corner. Paola was my consultant and she was absolutely fabulous. She reviewed my Pinterest board ahead of time and really listened to the features I was interested in for my wedding dress. For most of my alterations, I worked with Jessica. She was amazing and understood the changes that I was interested in making. The alterations were really well-done and high quality. Not to mention that it was really convenient to do alterations in-house rather than finding another vendor. I would highly recommend checking out Elegance by Roya if you’re shopping for a wedding dress! -

Elegance by Roya was my second wedding dress store. At the first store, I didn't have a great experience. I was very overwhelmed, a little stressed and felt pressure to buy a dress from them. However, Elegance by Roya was the complete opposite.
From the very first moment I entered, Elegance by Roya at Tysons gave a more professional and friendly vibe. The first thing they did was a consultation. They asked my style preference, budget, etc. Then when they showed me the dresses they suggested, and it was spot on. When they told me I loved sparkly dresses, they definitely gave me that! I ended up saying yes to a dress!
The store checked off all of my boxes. The ladies that helped me were amazing and gave the best support. The dress I got was my dream dress that made me feel like a princess, and I was surprised it was within my budget. I will definitely suggested all of my friends to buy their wedding dresses from here. -

I bought my dress at the Alexandria location during a black Friday sale in 2021 for my November 2022 wedding. This was the third shop that I went to and to be honest I was already feeling defeated by the time I went in. I had booked 2 appointments at 2 other shops before my best friend and I stumbled on this shop. By the point we walked in, I wanted to give up on dress shopping, I am SO glad that I did not. Ayesha started the appointment by asking about my inspiration and looking at my photos, she also listened to what I liked and didn't like about the dresses I had tried on. After I picked out a few to try on, she picked some out. The dress I chose was not one that I would have picked for myself, but it was more perfect than I could have imagined. Ayesha also helped me pick out the most perfect veil, and beaded belt for a little extra pop on the dress.
After I bought my dress I moved from the area and had to travel back for dress fittings, Farah worked with me to fit me in my dress in the morning and made the necessary alterations but the afternoon so I could retry on my dress before I had to catch my flight home. This service is absolutely amazing for such a big purchase.
I loved the shop so much that when I friend needed an emergency dress 30 days out from her wedding I recommend them to her with confidence they would help her find her perfect dress. - and she did!
The best part about this shop is that they listen and adjust to what you are saying and they do not give up on making sure you have your dream dress and feel beautiful! -

My experience here was nothing short of amazing. If you go (which you absolutely have to!) you have to request Saddia as your consultant. She went above and beyond to really find the perfect dress for me when I didn't think it was possible. She was very thoughtful, listened to my feedback on what I did and didn't like at our first appointment and came back with jaw-dropping options for my second. It was almost difficult to decide which would be the one! Saddia is an 11/10 and would highly recommend her and this beautiful bridal shop. Their options were amazing and perfect for a glamourous and over the top bride like myself. Run to this bridal boutique and ask for Saddia, she really made the experience magical. -

Fantastic experience
Elegance by Roya old town were amazing to me and my family. After trying on over 100 dresses I had found a dress by a designer sold at Elegance but a sample was not available. Farah was able to order a sample to the store for me to try on. Though it was not live at first sight, Farah helped me see that this dress was exactly what I wanted with some alterations. She was 100% right. 3 alteration sessions later I had the perfect dress for my wedding. I can’t thank them enough. -

I went to several bridal shops before Elegance by Roya and had nearly given up that I would find the right dress. This experience was completely different than my others - I was prioritized as soon as I walked through the door. My consultant, Gabby, knew exactly what I wanted based on my feedback by the third dress I put on. She really listened to everything that I wanted and she was patient, allowing me to try on the dress several times. She even let me process and come back later that day to try on the dress one more time with a friend of mine. I could not have asked for a better experience and I am so grateful I randomly stumbled upon this bridal shop through Instagram!
UPDATE: I had alteration services here as well and was amazed at how seamless the process was. They allowed me to come in several times to get fitted for the dress and were super accommodating at making sure it fit perfectly. Highly recommend! -

The shop is gorgeous, and they have such a wide array of options for plus-size women. I was having the hardest time and worst experience dress shopping before I found them. I can’t recommend Elegance by Roya Old Town enough. First of all, my sister, and multiple friends all found their wedding dresses at this location. When it was time for me to do the same, I knew I had to go here first and make the process as painless as possible. Farah was the stylist who assisted me during my visit. What was so special about his was that she had also helped my sister about 5 years ago and fully remembered her as soon as she entered the store. This shows you how much they really care about the brides that come in and individualize each appointment. Farah was so kind and calming and asked me about my style and budget. I really appreciated her commitment to sticking to my number and being so transparent about any additional costs I should account for. She led me through various different styles and was so respectful and kind throughout the entire day. She put me in my perfect dress towards the end of my very first wedding dress shopping appointment and I walked out of the store buying my dress. She scheduled my alterations appointment at the right times and worked so hard to make sure my dress fit perfectly. Each dress fitting appointment, she would take photos for me and give me such sweet feedback. I felt like a princess on my wedding day and the dress fit like a glove. I would recommend Elegance by Roya- Old Town to everyone and can’t thank Farah enough for her help! -

Above and beyond - the most comfortable dress shopping experience!
I had an incredible experience at Elegance by Roya. It was the first bridal store I went to and I was definitely overwhelmed by the idea of dress shopping. My stylist (Crystal) was amazing! She listened to what I wanted and pulled styles that reflected my exact preferences. She also pulled a few dresses that were slightly different than what I wanted so I could experience all the store had to offer. It was the exact no pressure wedding dress shopping experience you are looking for. I brought my parents and a bridesmaid and we all had so much fun. -

Best Selection and Great Consultants!
I went to check this place out after it was recommended by several friends.. It did not disappoint! The selection of gowns was gorgeous and my consultant, Saddia was super sweet, funny, and helpful! I went for my initial appointment and fell in love with a dress, but wanted to see some other gowns/shops before committing. They were super understanding and didn’t pressure me to buy it before I was ready. After going to two other bridal shops, I realized that nothing was going to live up to the dress I loved from EBR in my price range! I made another appointment at EBR and said yes to my dream dress - we like to call it the maximalist gown from Martina Liana, which has lots of sparkle and stunning details throughout! This dress was extremely flattering on me and I can’t wait to wear it on my wedding day!
I was worried because most of the dresses I was loving online were $7-$10k and my budget was $3k.. The only thing I would be aware of is there’s not a ton of dresses in the lower price range. I wouldn’t shop here unless you’re planning to spend at least $2,500 (not including alterations). Otherwise, I can’t recommend them enough! -

I had a great experience at Elegance by Roya. I bought my dress there and then went back to get it altered. I had a slight issue with a top I took their to get altered (also purchased from Elegance by Roya) but Roya was there at my next appointment making sure everything was fixed! They set up extra appointments and called and emailed reassuring me that everything would be ok…and it was!! I would definitely recommend going to see Roya. -

Farah is the best!!!
Went to the shop in Alexandria. Purchased my dress in 2020, got all my alterations done and then had to postpone. Had to get my alterations redone for the next year and was finally able to wear the gorgeous gown! Farah was so helpful and kind to work with in choosing my gown. She was our go to for every fitting and appointment. Chose a beautiful Essence by Australia gown. Everything turned out beautifully! -

I loved everything about getting my dress from here. My dress itself is gorgeous, and the alteration process was relaxed and turned out beautifully. I even got great suggestions from the staff about accessorizing. When I needed to reschedule last-minute because of a snowstorm, the week before my wedding, the staff went out of their way to get me in as soon as possible. I got SO SO many compliments on my dress, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! -

Simply amazing
I was so happy with my experience at Elegance by Roya in Old Town. I loved every minute of the process. Paola listened to exactly what I wanted and found my dream dress. Farrah made it exactly what I wanted. They listened, were informative, helpful, easy to work with, and overall wonderful. I cannot recommend this store and the amazing staff enough.

The Best in The Biz
Finding THE dress was much harder than I ever thought imaginable however when i stepped into Elegance by Roya I felt a sense of calm. Every member of the staff makes you feel like a million bucks and is so kind! Farah was my guardian angel and stylist! I absolutely loved working with her. She is so attentive and really knows how to find dresses that meet your requests but also go a step beyond to ensure you as the bride get the jaw dropping awe factor you’re after on the day. When i described what i was looking for Farah wasn’t confused or overwhelmed she literally said “got it. I know the dress” and minutes later she came back with a number of dresses that met every characteristic on my list. Each dress she picked I loved more than any other dress I had tried on before elegance by roya. In my first visit to elegance by roya i found my dress and literally didn’t want to take it off. I was truly amazed given I had been to 9 other boutiques beforehand and each one ended in tears ( not the good kind). The alteration sessions were just as seamless, Farah worked quickly and efficiently and the entire process with them was so easy. I highly recommend starting your dress search at elegance by roya! I guarantee they have what you need and you won’t be disappointed! Love this place and couldn’t imagine my big day without them in my squad!

I visited several bridal shops, including Kleinfeld in NY, and I must say Elegance by Roya in Alexandria has the best costumer service for brides. It is very important for bridal consultants to listen carefully what the bride is looking for which I didn't get that at other bridal shops. However, that changed when I met Farah! From the day I said yes to both of my dresses, I called her my fairy godmother. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave different options to pick from including to personalize my gown. What made my experience more amazing is that Farah was there to help me through all the fitting appointments and even to the day I picked up my dress. Throughout the whole process Farah was very attentive, caring and very flexible with all my requests and we had a great communication. Thank you Farah for all your help! You are the best bridal consultant I've met throughout my wedding dress shopping experience and it was everything I was looking for. I highly recommend Elegance by Roya in Alexandria and staff. -

EBR made my dress shopping experience everything I wanted and more. I picked my dress way back in 2/2019 and my wedding was on 10/2/21. They were communicative and flexible the entire time. I worked with Farrah and she was absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable about all the dresses, what I would like just based on a few words, alterations, and more. She made me feel so beautiful every time I went in and made a point to remember who I was and all the details of my wedding each time we spoke via phone or in person. The shop (in Alexandria) feels upscale and luxurious. When all was said and done at our last appointment, Farrah even offered to FaceTime during the wedding if we needed help with the bustle or veil. Absolutely amazing experience! -

My whole experience with Elegance by Royas at Tyson's was amazing. I went with my mom and sister to try on dresses originally and left undecided. One sleep on it and I knew which dress was the one I wanted and came back for a trunk show. Jacqueline was amazingly helpful! The alterations were also a very great process. For my final fitting, I had food poisoning the week of my wedding and they were flexible with me needing to change my appointment. I highly recommend buying your dress here! I've never felt more beautiful than I did in that dress! -

Prior to my dress appointment, I filled out a questionnaire of what I liked, didn’t like, etc. I wasn’t expecting to find a dress at the first store I went to, but somehow I did. Even crazier was that my consultant Rachel picked out a dress before I was there, it was the first dress I tried on, and it ended up being the one!
Even after buying the dress, the alterations process was so smooth and simple. My person was so great with explaining everything and making sure everything looked perfect before I took my dress home for the special day! By the end of the alterations process, my dress fit me like a glove and I got so many compliments on how it looked like it was made for me! -

My dress shopping experience at Elegance by Roya was FANTASTIC. It was my favorite part of wedding planning. My consultant was knowledgeable and really listened to what I wanted to try. I also like that they had all the dresses out on the floor so I could see them before I tried any on. Working with Farah on alterations was a dream - I had lost a good amount of weight by the time my alterations came along and my dress fit like a glove and I was so comfortable all night. This is the best bridal shop in the DMV area and it is in such a great location to go grab a drink or dinner after finding your perfect dress! -

This place is amazing! I visited in January 2020 as my first stop on my dress hunt and ended up needing to go no further. Farah is awesome, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, more so I knew what I didn’t want so she asked some questions and did her thing and my dress was gorgeous. She even added detachable straps :) My fittings after that all happened during the pandemic and she and her team all took precautions, but still made the process smooth and enjoyable. The dress fit like a glove and far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding dress/accessories. Thank you Farrah! -

Elegance by Roya is easy to work with. They are very helpful and professional. They do a consult over the phone before you come in for your appointment. What drew me to this vendor is that they listen and pay attention to what you are looking for. I went for a fitting in July for my elopement in October. Phenomenal and personal experience
Elegance by Roya made my wedding dress dreams come true. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable; they helped me stay in my budget and we able to get my dress to me on time (I was cutting it close when I ordered). My Dream Dress
I felt like a bride the minute I stepped foot into Elegance by Roya. They had picked out several dresses for me that were ready for me to try on at my appointment. They worked within my budget and customized my dress to make it even better than I could have imagined. Roya tailored it perfectly until she and I were both completely happy with how it fit. I can not recommend Roya’s enough! I bought my dress before the pandemic and then had to cancel our original wedding plans (like many other 2020 brides) and Roya and her team were so incredibly understanding and helpful during the whole process. I wasn’t totally happy with one fitting towards the end and they went above and beyond with additional alterations to make sure that the dress fit and looked the way I wanted on our re-imagined big day. I’m so glad that I got my dress from Roya’s and would recommend them to any bride in the DC area! -

Far exceeded my expectations
There is not enough good things I can say about Elegance by Roya. I was extremely nervous to go dress shopping since I'm a bit of a tom boy and very rarely buy dresses. Jacklyn was wonderful. She had me at ease in no time, and made me feel like a VIP. She listened to what type of styles I was looking for, and even had me try on ones I wasn't sure about. I tried on a total of 6 dresses and the third one was "the one." Jacklyn nailed the fit and design perfectly, and had a veil ready that perfectly compliments my dress. And the best part was the price. It was exactly what I wanted to spend. I did a lot of research on salons, and I will definitely say Elegance By Roya far exceeded my expectations. It truly deserves the 5 star rating. -

I cannot possibly say enough how wonderful Elegance by Roya – Tysons is! THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST AND ONLY STOP to buy the wedding dress of your dreams! This was my third wedding dress shop. I had tried on over 30 dresses and was pretty sure I knew which dress I wanted. It had a sparkly skirt and intricate beaded/laced/gemstone illusion top! It was beautiful! But when I arrived, I explained to Jacklyn that I was pretty sure that was the dress I wanted, but that I wanted to make sure. She asked questions about my fiancé (now husband), how we met, where we were getting married, etc. I was open to any dress as long as it wasn’t strapless. At one point Jacklyn asked, “It’s great you feel like a princess, but do you feel like a bride?” I was taken aback by the question, but it was THE question every bride needs to ask herself when shopping for a wedding dress. She then handed me a dress that was “her pick.” It was unlike anything I had tried on—no lace, no sparkle, no beads. Oh, and it was strapless. But as soon as I put it on, my mind shifted. It was so different, but it was so elegant. I still wasn’t sure about the no-straps concept, but then she took the surprise a step further. She tucked some fabric into the dress for off-the-shoulder sleeves, and my mom, my sister, and future mother-in-law all immediately gasped and started crying. Once she added the veil, there was no going back. They customized the sleeves and the dress was all mine! From that moment on, EBR took very care of me to make sure my dress got in on time. The alterations process was smooth and painless, and everything was completed on time or earlier. Jacklyn’s talent and eye for bridal beauty is absolutely incredible and the whole team at EBR was an absolute delight to work with. Unfortunately, my full wedding was postponed because of COVID-19, so my husband and I had a very private marriage ceremony instead. But I’m excited because it means I get to wear my EBR-picked dress TWICE!! :) -

Thank you Elegance by Roya for helping me find my dream dress. From the moment I started working with Mariam I felt super comfortable.She found the perfect dresses that best suited my shape.Initially I didn’t know what kind of style I wanted to go with because we all know my gut won’t away so...I went in with an open minded and tried on just about it every style.
The first shop we went to didn’t have any dresses for my body type.
But when we went to ElegancebyRoya we found so many beautiful dresses that fit me so well.S/O to Mariam for finding me my dream dress!! When she saw me she brought me the dresses for my body type.She was so sweet and patient with me and my 7 bridesmaids.
I’m forever grateful for the ladies at ElegancebyRoya they made this entire process seamless 💕 awesome customer service and literally altered my dress to fit me like a glove!! If you are looking for a wedding dress in the DMV the ladies at ElegancebyRoya will take good care of you!! -

My experience at Elegance by Roya was everything I wanted it to be. My alterations expert worked with me every step of the way. She was flexible with appointments and my dress turned out better than I could have hoped. She really took the time to listen to my concerns and my wishes for how I wanted to look on my wedding day. They were a little more money then I wanted to spend on alterations, but in the end they were worth every penny! I would do it the same way over again and again. I have been a bridesmaid 5 times, so I have seen many brides alter their dress in the own way and I'm so glad I went through Elegance by Roya for my dress purchase and alterations. -

I found Elegance because they carried a specific designer I really loved (Anne Barge) and I'm so glad I did! I can't say enough good things about them. The appointment process was simple and they were extremely responsive. The salon is also beautiful - organized, clean and quiet so you don't feel overwhelmed.
The consultant working with me was only working with me for our appointment (which isn't always the case at other salons), and I never felt rushed or pressured. I felt like a friend was helping me shop : )
When I was close to selecting my dress, I was hesitant because there was one element I wished could be different. The gown, which was strapless, went straight across my back but I wanted it to be more v-shaped and angled in towards the zipper and buttons like some other gowns I had tried on. This isn't a minor change to make, but Elegance made the process so easy. They worked directly with the designer to have them customize it for me so they could be sure the bodice fit correctly. I also ordered it in a slightly different color than what was in the salon for that style dress. They put me at ease throughout the entire customization process and I was never worried. They were just so on top of everything!
They also do the fittings and alterations at the same location (also not always the case with other salons). This was really nice so that when it came time for my fittings and alterations the woman who helped me pick my dress was there to see me and continue providing advice.
Elegance really made the entire experience from my first appointment to the day I took my dress home, not just an easy experience, but one I truly enjoyed. -
