Calling all curly hair brides!!

I cannot rave enough about Elegance and their artists. I was searching for an artist that specializes in curly hair (myself) but is also able to manage other types as well. I found them when they worked my best friends wedding and they were even more amazing then I remembered. They do not charge extra for lashes or anything, and were even able to incorporate the hairpiece my mom wore at her wedding. Curly brides of Philly, this is your sign! (My husband would like to add that he thinks I looked beautiful)

Dream Team

I can't say enough wonderful things about Elegance Artistry! Sara and Katherine were an absolute dream team for my wedding day. From the very beginning, they brought such a fun and calming energy to the whole process, making me feel like a princess both inside and out.

I had a hair and makeup trial with them beforehand, and they were so attentive to my requests, adjusting everything until it was just perfect. On the day of the wedding, they truly nailed it. My hair and makeup were flawless, and they executed my vision beautifully.

They also did my mom's hair and makeup, and she couldn’t have been happier with the results. It’s clear they’re masters of their craft and truly care about their clients’ happiness.

I highly recommend Elegance Artistry to anyone looking for professional, talented artists who create a relaxing, enjoyable experience. You won’t be disappointed!

Incredible Team!!

The Elegance Artistry team are absolute rockstars!! From the trial appointment, to logistics planning, to the day of, they were incredible and helped to make our October 2023 wedding a dream! The team did the hair and make-up of the whole bridal party, Mother/MIL, myself, and some light touches for our flower girl as well. Everyone looked stunning, and I was so happy with how my hair and makeup turned out. Would highly recommend on all fronts!!

Fairy Godmothers!

The Elegance Artistry team was amazing! They completely understood my vision and respected that I was interested in looking like a more glam version of myself on my wedding day. They shared input on colors and different make-up options, but they also kept all my desires in mind and checked in with me to make sure I was happy every step of the way during the trial. On the day itself, they were so efficient and professional, we got done AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! Everyone in my bridal party and family was so happy - and I was thrilled. I felt like a complete princess. One of my bridal party members even called them our "fairy godmothers." I definitely recommend them 100%!

Willing to come to the rescue at last minute, delivered excellent work

I had arranged hair & makeup appointments for myself, my sister, and mother at a salon, but the day before my wedding, they called to say they misbooked their availability. They could do my hair & makeup but not my family’s, or everyone’s makeup but not hair. I called Elegance Artistry because they could cover both, and were willing to travel, since at that point I just wanted to make things easier.

Not only did they agree to work the very next day, but they also delivered excellent service. They arrived just on time, were courteous, friendly, and did a great job on both hair and makeup. Given the travel & level of service provided, the cost for all 3 of us was a good value. If I need makeup/hair services for future events, I would definitely use them again.

Fantastic Wedding Hair/Makeup!

Sara, Dana, and Cate were wonderful! They were easy to work with and incredibly flexible when we had to make some last minute changes. They captured the exact "natural beauty" look we were going for. They came to our hotel to do hair/makeup and did touch-ups at the venue after pictures. Everyone was friendly and did an exceptional job! Pricing was reasonable. Highly recommend!

More than amazing experience

Rebecca is the biggest hype women you could ask for on your wedding day! She is energetic, professional, and beyond talented. I have never been one to feel confident in my makeup, but Rebecca was able to pick out a wedding day look that had me feeling beyond confident. She was able to listen to the needs of all my bridesmaids and pick the perfect look for us all. She knows so much about the best options for all skin tones and her products are amazing. My skin felt weightless and stayed amazing through the whole day. She is an amazing vendor to work with and communicates flawlessly. I could not recommend a better vendor and you’ll be thankful you chose her!

Rebecca was so fun and sweet to work with! She did a fabulous job with me and my girls on my wedding day. She came to our hotel room and took her time to ensure we looked flawless! I loved working with her & would definitely recommend Rebecca to anyone!!!

Elegance Artistry

Loved working with Sara and her crew (especially Dana and Cate). Booked them during Covid lockdown, so many unknowns. They nailed the cleaning procedure and maintained an upbeat happy attitude through all the months on cancellations. Our June 12 date was perfect. They had 13 hair and makeup orders, it was a fun morning and everyone looked beautiful! Would definitely recommend.

Amazing!!!!

Sara and Shannon were incredible!! They made me feel like I've known them for years. They were able to accommodate for each of my bridesmaids and brought in additional help so we were able to finish on time. They were professional, friendly, and overall did a wonderful job!

I had the pleasure of working with Sara twice during my engagement. I have never met someone so invested in making her clients look and feel glamorous. Couldn't recommend them more!

The team at Elegance Artistry did everything that they could to make me feel comfortable and excited about my big day. My makeup artist, Rebecca, is extremely talented and created a bridal look for me that made me feel beautiful and timeless, and that really wowed my husband. Plus, it looked gorgeous in photos. She also did the makeup for our makeup-shy mothers, and they were so happy with the result that they were exchanging product recommendations at the end. Plus, my bridesmaids looked amazing and it really got us all in the mood to celebrate!
I could not recommend them more. Rebecca was kind and patient enough to let me send her multiple texts with lip colors I was considering and give me her honest feedback. She is a gem- a talented makeup artist not to be missed!

The best of the best

I cannot say enough positive things about them! Firstly, they are literally the nicest ladies you will ever meet. And personality is HUGELY important on your wedding day (or whatever the special event is). You don't want someone that has an ego, or won't produce what you desire. These two are the total opposite of that, they make sure you're happy with what they are doing, pause partway through the process and do checks, and are just super pleasant to work with. And, they did a phenomenal job I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup for my wedding. I went through several other hair and makeup trials before finding Elegance Artistry and they were by far the best. Highly highly recommend!

So easy to work with - so talented

Extremely happy with the decision to have Elegance Artistry help us prepare for our August wedding. Sara (make-up) and Katherine (hair) did an amazing job helping each of us look and feel ready for the day and they were the best at being creative and flexible with our group of adults, kids and moms. They made the day “stress” free and we loved all the looks they created. I even ended up with a new favorite lip color thanks to Sara. Highly recommend their talent.

Best day ever with quality, gorgeous make up!

I was so grateful to be referred to Elegance Artistry! Rebecca, our make up artist, made me feel so comfortable from the moment I met her at our trial. These women really understand how to read what people want and translate it into everything you tried to describe (: I went with a natural, fresh look with bold lips. Rebecca even picked up my lipstick last minute for me, and just totally rocked it at our getting ready venue. I would recommend her and any other member of the team to anyone. Stop looking- seriously- she’s the real deal. Thank you for making us all feel amazing on the happiest day ever.

Sara was the most phenomenal makeup artist I could have ever asked for on my wedding day. She made everything incredibly easy, from the initial proposal to the day of! She even helped me figure out my day of timeline with my hair stylist and photographer - talk about going above and beyond!! My makeup looked stunning and stayed on all night without any issues. Sara was there to make sure I walked out of my hotel looking perfect. She was so responsive to my concerns and changes from our initial consultation as well. It sounds a bit silly, but I was extremely worried about my lipstick shade - after looking at pictures from the consultation, I was worried it didn't look natural. I talked with Sara about this day of and she managed to find the absolute perfect shade. These seemingly simple things made my day so much easier and made me feel beautiful in pictures and for the rest of the night! Thank you so much to the Elegance Artistry team for all that you do!!

The morning of my wedding day, I couldn’t have been more nervous and excited. Shannon was the first person to help me prepare for this marvelous day arrived on time to the hotel with perfect timing. She styled my mother-in-law’s hair and mine. I had a wreath of fresh flowers that had been delivered by the florist, and was all nerves about how it would stay throughout a 10 hour day, and my hair too. Well, everything stayed put, and not a hair was out of place all day long. Shannon did an outstanding job both calming my nerves and as being an absolute pleasure to have as company. Every guest complimented my MIL’s and my hair, throughout the night. I found Elegance Artistry on The Knot, and couldn’t be happier with the selection of using them. If you want the Best of the Main Line, you will not be disappointed with this team of professionals!

I cannot recommend Elegance Artistry highly enough!! We had Sara and Shannon come with two other women for bridal party hair and makeup. The whole experience was wonderful - these girls were so fun and talented!! I appreciated how easy going they were, while being flexible to accommodate the needs of our very large bridal party. I am so happy that online wedding reviews led me to Elegance Artistry! From my first phone conversation with Sara, I knew I would be in good hands and I was so fortunate to have Rebecca and Shannon become part of my wedding day. Both of these ladies could not have been more accommodating - we coordinated my trial to be on a Friday evening in my home after I got home late from work (they literally bent over backwards to work with my schedule). I was instantly at ease and felt like these women had been my friends for years. We tried several different variations and both Rebecca and Shannon gave me recommendations that I loved and ended up using for my actual wedding hair/makeup. On the actual wedding day, these ladies showed up on time, stayed on schedule, were incredibly professional, and all of my girls/moms looked fantastic. But even more than this, Rebecca and Shannon made it their obligation to ensure everyone was having a great time, stayed relaxed, and enjoyed themselves during this getting ready experience. I already have 2 girlfriends that have booked their services and I hope many others use them as well after this review. Such a pleasure to work with and I couldnt recommend them more!

Sara and Rebecca were awesome! They provided the make-up service for my August wedding in Newport, RI. My mom is super sensitive to make-up and products and Sara provided her with all make-up that was safe for her skin. I would highly recommed elegant artistry to anyone!

Sara, Shannon and Heather were amazing! They were able to travel with us from the hotel where they got half of us ready to the wedding venue where we could only be for the 2 hours before the wedding itself. Their cheerful attitude and quick responsiveness throughout the weeks leading up to the wedding makes them the best! Highly recommend the team!

Brides: seriously, stop your search here. Elegance Artistry is AMAZING. We worked with Rebecca for makeup and Lauren for hair, and I'm absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out!! My hair was beautiful and stayed in place all night, even though I was dancing like crazy all night long. I made a few changes to my day-of look (I had new hairpins and asked for a braid) and she rolled with it like that had been the plan all along.

I also can't say enough wonderful things about Rebecca. She did makeup for five girls, including myself--and one girl she wasn't even originally contracted to work on! One of my bridesmaids had a makeup snafu and was very upset about it, but Rebecca was able to quickly fix her makeup so she loved how she looked without setting back our tight getting-ready timeline at all. Everyone wanted very different looks--one bridesmaid wanted a full face with contouring, another wanted a very fresh, natural look, another had no idea what she wanted at all--and Rebecca was able to do it all, while making everyone feel comfortable, happy, and beautiful. She even fixed my hair and put my veil in for me after my brother-in-law accidentally ripped some of it out with an umbrella. It really was like getting ready with friends.

I can't recommend Elegance Artistry enough. If they're available on your wedding day, book them now!!

Elegance Artistry is the real deal! I received so many compliments on my hair and make-up on my wedding day, and was beyond pleased with how pretty they made me feel! Shannon and Rebecca were incredible from start to finish. My bridesmaids and mother looked equally gorgeous, and the E.A. girls catered to our every want and need. They were right on time on the morning of the wedding and were efficient and quick with their work. They are down-to-earth, kind, and fun-- great people to have with you on the morning of your big day! I was highly stressed about my acne leading up to the wedding, but Rebecca covered it up beautifully- you couldn't even tell it was there! She is so talented, as is Shannon with hair! The two of them were so responsive during my planning process, and helped me have a wonderful, stress-free wedding day. I would highly recommend them.

Elegance Artistry was absolutely fantastic! I was recommend Elegance Artistry by my cousin Emily, who used them for her wedding. Sara and Cate made myself, my bridesmaids and my mom look amazing!! You want your hair and make-up to be perfect for your wedding say. Elegance Artistry was exceptional at providing picture perfect hair and make-up. The bride did not know how she wanted her hair on her wedding day. Elegance Artistry was patient and tried many hair styles until the bride was happy. It made for a wondrful wedding day. The bridal party had their hair and make-up done first. Everyone had plenty of time to get it done. Touch-ups were no problem, needed a curl to be re-pinned, not a problem. Everything was done with professional skill and great care. I would highly recommend Elegance Artistry for your wedding event.

Sara, Jen and Kate were fantastic!! Sara made me feel so comfortable right from the first call with her. There were a couple of bumps due to issues with the third-party platform they use, but Sara was great at always communicating and keeping me in the loop. The trial appointment was perfect. Sara was super flexible with letting me pick a day that was most convenient to me and took notes to make sure she had everything ready just the way I wanted for our big day. We had a super early start the day of the wedding, but Sara, Kate and Jen were there bright and early and ready to get going. My hair and makeup was done beautifully and just the way I wanted and so was my bridal party's. I highly recommend Sara and her team - definitely the best out there!

I worked with Rebecca for makeup and Cate for hair for both my trial and wedding, for myself and my mom. Both of these women were absolutely fabulous to work with, and they made me and my mom feel so comfortable the entire step of the way. Throughout the trial and the day of, they were both so responsive to any little changes that we wanted to make, and made sure that the look was exactly the way we wanted it to be. They absolutely contributed to it being a smooth and stress free day, and I cannot thank them enough for their down to earth demeanors that made us feel so comfortable, and yet so elegant in knowing that we looked absolutely amazing, while still looking like ourselves! I would absolutely recommending them!

Everything about using Elegance Artistry was easy and seamless which is what you need when dealing with planning a wedding. I had to be ready at 8 am for my morning wedding and Lisa showed up on time, happy and smiling and made me look fantastic for pictures. She gave me the perfect, elegant look. Sara and Shannon from Elegance Artistry are the best! They are so sweet and kind. More importantly they are hair and make-up rockstars! From the first call to my big day and everything in between they ensured that I felt special and like I was their total focus. It was fantastic to have a team who came to me...I didn't have to travel to a salon...which was huge for me. They got to know me and my style to find the best hair and make up design for me.

Sara, Shannon and Jen were absolutely amazing! I have known Sara for some time now, and was thrilled when we got in touch shortly after I was engaged to book my wedding day. My makeup was flawless and I received compliments all day/night for how beautiful I was. The same goes with my hair, Shannon executed the look I wanted but it turned out even better than I could have imagined! Hair and Makeup stayed in place all day/night and I still looked like "me" after they were finished! They went out of their way to come to me and my girls the day of, and even extra early! They kept to the timeline and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout the morning! I cannot thank them enough for making me, my bridesmaids, my mom and grandmother look so beautiful! There was no one in this world I would have trusted with my makeup on my wedding day. Sara made my family feel at ease and comfortable from the trial to the actual event. She was knowledgeable and fully prepared to take away any insecurities we had with our appearance. She took the time to get to know our needs and our personalities. Shannon and Sara are amazing and I cannot thank them enough for the "work" they did on my wedding day. I'm not sure something that you are so passionate about and enjoy so much can be called work. Shannon and Sara came to my parents house and fit right in with my bridal party.
Sara transformed me into someone I hardly recognized - I'll have to say a more beautiful version of myself. As someone who does not wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis; my makeup on my wedding day was perfect. I was more than my everyday self but not overwhelmed it.
Shannon worked with the few changes I had after our first hair trial and made my hairstyle even better. My bridesmaids loved their hair styles as did two of my flower girls. Shannon was even able to fix the braids on my third flower girl that were done by someone else.

When I first started choosing vendors for my wedding, I had no idea how I was supposed to be pick hair and makeup artists. For the most part, everyone’s pricing was similar, all pictures of the brides were beautiful.. how are you supposed to choose? As soon as I reached out to Sara and received a response from her I knew she was the one. She was just so real and professional at the same time, I couldn’t wait to meet her. Sara and Shannon came to my house ( how sweet is that?) the day of my shower and did my hair and makeup and I received soo many compliments and they made the morning so fun and enjoyable, it was awesome. Next was the trial- I literally felt like I was sitting with my good friends (except the part that they were completely beautifying me!) just chatting and figuring out what we all agreed on looked best. I couldn’t wait to see the final product with the dress, jewelry etc. on the day of.

For our wedding, I had seven bridesmaids, all with different looks and different styles and Sara and Shannon were able to come in and not only meet EVERY girl’s expectations but EXCEED them. The girls couldn’t stop looking in the mirror and complimenting each other, so excited about how they looked for the day. Sara and Shannon kept the mood light and cheery all morning long. I felt absolutely beautiful the day of our wedding and would not change a thing about my hair or my makeup. I will be suggesting them to every bride to be to use for their wedding. I am already trying to figure out what event I can get my hair and makeup done for next so I can work with them again! Thanks Elegance Artistry!

Rebecca Cummings Scales did my hair and make up for my wedding, and I couldn't be happier. She took all the pictures and comments I gave her and made me look absolutely gorgeous. I have never felt so pretty in all my life. Everything was perfect. The make up was flawless and looked fabulous in all the photos. Even the photographer and his assistant were impressed, and made a point to say so. It was the style that i wanted, and all the guests thought it was perfect. Rebecca was there early to set up, was completely professional, and made sure to make me feel at ease on my special day. She was fun, easy going, and relaxed, making everyone in the room feel special. She also did the makeup for my bridesmaids, and though each girl was completely in complexion and skin color/tone....each one was perfect and still matched the aesthetic i wanted for the bridal party. If i should ever need my makeup done again, i would not hesitate to call Rebecca right away!

I had the pleasure of being pampered by the ladies of Elegance Artistry for not only my own wedding, but also as a bridesmaid in another wedding. This team of artists is super talented and professional. My fear leading up to my wedding morning was that I might feel stressed or rushed and I have to say that Sara and Shannon played a big part in preventing that. My bridesmaids, mom and I were so impressed with how quickly they worked while maintaining a stress-free, fun environment. They did beautiful work that lasted the entire day. I highly recommend them!

Sara and Shannon were wonderful to work with leading up to, and the day of, our wedding. They made time for my trial, providing me with feedback and information based on what I brought to them for ideas. The trial made me so comfortable with them, and I knew they would be great with the girls in my wedding party. They did the makeup for all 4 of my girls, and my mom and MIL, as well as the hair for nearly all of us.

Both of them were so relaxed the day of the wedding, fitting in with our group as we got ready and prepared. We never felt rushed or worried. And I never worried about my make-up the entire day. I looked just as good at the end of the night as I did at the start of the day. I'd highly recommend them both to anyone.

Sara and Shannon were wonderful to work with. They are both so talented and did the make up and hair for my bridal party. My make up held up all day and I couldn't have been more pleased! They are professional and relaxed - exactly who you want to be around on your wedding day. My good friend liked their work so much that she used them for her wedding a few months later. Sara did my make-up, along with the whole bridal party for my sister in laws wedding. She was a lifesaver! I rarely break out, and of course on the wedding weekend, it happened! Sara was able to make my face look flawless. I was in a panic that morning, and she calmed my concerns and was able to cover up what needed to be, all while keeping my look natural and not overdone. She made me, along with the other girls look and feel beautiful. She is truly an artist and extremely talented. I could not be happier with her work, and highly recommend her.

Elegance Artistry provided my makeup services for my wedding day. They were fun, professional, and amazing!! My makeup was beautiful and stayed all day! Sara saved the day! Only 6 weeks before the wedding, the bride and bridesmaids were left without a make up artist. We contacted Sara who had a surprise cancellation and she thankfully had the day open. Sara was extremely flexible and easy to work with. The salon staff made space for Sara and she was also able to travel to the church to do the bride's makeup. I seriously can't thank Sara enough for being so flexible and kind. We were all very impressed with her skills and the quality of her work. She did a fantastic job as we all received compliments from those attending the wedding. The bride especially looked beautiful. The products Sara utilized were extremely high end. She also gave us great tips! I would love to work with Sara again and would definitely recommend anyone looking for a make up artist to hire her!

Very Talented

I got very stressed when Wedding Planning, so I knew I didn't want to do the work of finding separate hair and makeup artists myself. Elegance Artistry made things easy for me and their team is highly experienced and created perfect looks for me and my Bridal Party.
Sam did my makeup and from the trial she was great and looking at my inspo photos and asking clarifying questions to figure out what I really wanted. I am not well versed in makeup and don't usually wear false lashes, but she was great and working with my comfort level and producing the first makeup look I have ever been 100% happy with. I left the trial beaming and she reproduced it perfectly day of. She was nice a calm the day of the wedding, working with everyone's requests, and even managed to get my mom into some lashes that she was comfortable with.
Sami did my hair and started coordinating with me even before the trial. I was really nervous about my pin straight low volume hair, and have gotten self conscious about hairdos in the past. I wanted an updo that would still be visible from the front so I still look feminine. She worked with to recommend some hair extensions that would look good, but still be affordable. On the day of the trial she was able to create a voluminous low bun that felt romantic and feminine and she recreated it perfectly day of so I could feel confident in myself. She also worked magic with all my bridesmaids, mom, and MIL. They all have different hair lengths and textures. I was especially impressed with what she did for my mom, who has always had fine, thin hair. She somehow created volume out of what appeared to be thin air making her simple hairstyle look elegant and refined.
Overall I was very happy with the work Sam and Sami did, and thought they worked well as a team together.
For booking and general questions I worked with Sara. Sara was very responsive over text and quick to set me up with Sam and Sami whenever I had questions. The honeybook site that Elegance Artistry uses, was a little glitchy sometimes so I wouldn't always get a response online, but Sara made up for it by being very reachable over the phone.

Wonderful Artists!

We had Katherine for hair and Marlene for makeup for myself, my 4 bridesmaids and two moms. Both of them were amazing. They both made me feel extremely at ease during the trial. I didn't really know exactly what I was looking for with makeup, and Marlene was able to work with that and make me look very naturally beautiful. Katherine did an exceptional job with my hair with pictures that I showed her, and most impressive of all the updo stayed put despite extreme winds near the riverfront and my veil falling out multiple times due to the wind. They both came very early the day of and were ready to go earlier than we needed, and never made us feel rushed. We were ready with plenty of time to spare and enjoyed chatting with them both throughout the entire time!

Necessary addition to your wedding day

I could not have asked for better wedding hair and makeup from Shannon and Rebecca! They are the sweetest, most friendly ladies you could work with to create a beautiful wedding look. In the months before the big day, we chatted back and forth about hair possibilities, established a day-of timeline, made a backup plan, etc. On the morning of the wedding, they came bright and early to my suite and worked so efficiently through my bridal party. Everything ran perfectly according to our planned timeline, and they brought in extra team members so that two bridesmaids could be worked on at once for both hair and makeup. We were all done and ready by the time our photographers arrived-it could not have worked out better. Throughout the morning, they really put me at ease and got me excited to walk down the aisle. My bridesmaids loved their looks ( I let them all choose whatever hair and makeup styles they preferred, and it was such a fun variety), and I felt like everything I had in mind was considered and made even better than what I could have imagined. My original plan was to wear my hair down, but it was a super blustery, windy day. My swept bun kept in tact throughout the day, even when the wind tore my veil off my head during pictures!

TLDR: You'll love working with the elegance artistry team! Pricing and communication was very transparent, and I felt incredibly beautiful on the most photographed day of my life!!

Groom Couldn't Take His Eyes Off My Face

Highly recommend these ladies.
Sara and Shannon did a fantastic job with hair and makeup for me and several of my bridesmaids. They arrived early, stayed perfectly on schedule, and were super easy to talk to the whole morning. By the time they were through, I was so happy with how we all looked!!
Shannon managed to get exactly the look I was going for with my hair! It did start to fall out a little toward the end of the reception, but otherwise held up pretty well. Sara's makeup was perfect and kept my face picture-perfect the whole evening!
My husband later told me that when we did our first look, he barely even noticed my dress - he couldn't take his eyes off my face ^_^
My only criticism is that they are expensive. $200 just for the trial!
