    Bests decision

    Working with Michelle was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. From the beginning, she brought organization, calm, and an incredible level of professionalism that made everything feel manageable and enjoyable.

    On the wedding day itself, Michelle was absolutely invaluable. She handled every detail seamlessly behind the scenes so that Peter and I could truly be present and enjoy the day. Every transition, vendor coordination, and timing element flowed perfectly because she was orchestrating everything with such precision.

    What stood out most was her ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems before we even knew they existed.

    Michelle allowed us to fully relax and trust that everything was being taken care of, and because of her, our day felt effortless and joyful from start to finish.

    If you are planning a wedding and want someone who is organized, thoughtful, and incredibly skilled at what they do, we cannot recommend Michelle enough.

    We truly could not have done our wedding without Michelle and the team at ELC Events.

    From the very beginning, Michelle was organized, knowledgeable, connected, and incredibly helpful. She saw our vision clearly and complemented it beautifully - guiding us without ever taking over. She struck the perfect balance of offering expertise while still letting us make the wedding feel fully like us.

    She met with us as often as we needed and was always prepared, thoughtful, and steady. On the wedding day, everything ran seamlessly. We were able to fully focus on each other and enjoy every moment because we knew she had everything handled. If anything went wrong, we were blissfully unaware! She and her team managed it all calmly and professionally behind the scenes.

    Planning a destination wedding can feel overwhelming, but Michelle made the entire process feel effortless. Her years of expertise working in Santa Barbara truly showed...she is a seasoned pro in every sense.

    The Best Ever!! Forget the rest go with the Best

    Michelle, was so responsive and available with all of the planning prior to our big day, Additionally on the DAY OF, Michelle ran cover and defense for us with issues we never knew about until after. She handled all of the problems and there were many...there always are!! With your wedding, you want someone like Michelle to be on your team. She thinks on her feat, and takes initiative, she is lovely, and pleasant. She is the one you want!

    Incredible Beyond Measure

    Michelle from ELC Events was absolutely incredible and made our dream day come true. From the first meeting, we knew we had the right person for our vision and just as importantly matched our vibe. Everything came out better than we could have possibly imagined. The staging at Villa & Vine was... mind blowing. We're so thankful that she had everything running so smoothly, and that we could just focus on the day and celebrate with our loved ones. Incredibly responsive whenever we needed anything, and helped us stay within budget while somehow making our event look like we had spent 5x the amount we did.

    You need Michelle!

    You need Michelle (and Madison) for your wedding!!!!! I had the most perfect wedding ever this past Sunday and it was all thanks to Michelle and her team. Our venue was Villa & Vine and we picked Michelle because she has an amazing package that includes flowers, decor, linens, photo book, and DJ. I’m so glad we trusted her to select these vendors/decorations herself because I wouldn’t have changed a thing. The flowers were stunning, the decor was beautiful, the Dj was on point, and the Photo Booth was a hit! Her and Madison kept my Polaroid camera for the first book filled throughout the night as well. I didn’t have to worry about a thing throughout the process. And they cleaned up the venue and delivered everything neatly to our hotel room. They also handled some difficulties with the courthouse security and Arlington theater with grace and professionalism. I truly don’t know how people plan a wedding without someone like Michelle. I am now sad the wedding is over and I keep replaying the day over and over in my mind. Michelle and Madison helped create the best day of our lives and I’ll be forever grateful for them.

    Fantastic Wedding Coordinator!

    We had the pleasure of working with Michelle and her team for our Santa Barbara Club wedding. From day-one, Michelle was professional, detailed, and so very friendly. She understood our vision and provided advice leading up to the big day. My husband and I really valued her perspective and she gavus us invaluable reassurance as we booked vendors and planned out all the details.

    Day-of, Michelle conducted the day with professionalism, ease, and most importantly, a big smile on her face. The day went off without a hitch and she guided our vendors through the schedule with ease. My husband and I floated through the day stress-free. She even stayed late to help us clean-up the venue and give us a hug goodbye!

    I really can't say enough about Michelle. Even though we hired her as a day-of coordinator, she went above and beyond and helped us execute the wedding of our dreams. We are so overjoyed that we chose her as our coordinator.

    Book with Michelle for your wedding!!

    Words can’t describe how amazing our wedding was thanks to Michelle. She helped us from months before our wedding up until even after the wedding and did everything to make sure our day was so special. We seriously couldn’t have done it without her. We booked the Villa & Vine full deluxe package and she booked most of our vendors for us and each vendor was absolutely amazing!! If you’re debating which coordinator to get I can’t recommend Michelle enough!

    Michelle and her team were nothing short of amazing. They made sure our big day went smoothly. All our calls were productive and she is always available for any questions. She provided service that was well above our expectations or knowledge and we couldn’t be more thankful to her and her team.     We couldn't have done it without Michelle!

    We found Michelle when touring Villa & Vine (though we got married at the Cabrillo Pavilion), and from that first meeting, we knew we wanted her as our wedding coordinator. From the very beginning, Michelle was incredibly organized, communicative, and knowledgeable, making the entire planning process so much smoother for us. We had regular planning Zoom calls leading up to the wedding, and she was always available via email to answer any questions along the way.

    Michelle’s industry expertise was evident in every detail—she even suggested the location for our first look, which we absolutely loved. She provided us with a super helpful planning Google Sheet and always asked the right questions during our calls, even bringing up things we wouldn’t have thought of on our own.

    On our wedding day, Michelle and her team kept everything running according to plan. She stayed with us until the reception was underway, then left her trusted team in charge so she could be home for bedtime with her new baby. Unfortunately, after she left, a different vendor caused significant issues. Even though it wasn’t Michelle’s fault, she went above and beyond after the wedding to help us navigate the situation. In an incredible show of integrity, she even offered us a partial refund because she wasn’t able to personally resolve the issues that arose after her departure.

    If you’re looking for a wedding coordinator who is detail-oriented, professional, and truly cares about her couples, we definitely recommend Michelle! She was a huge asset in making our wedding day a success, and we’re so grateful for all her hard work.

    Awesome Wedding Coordinator for our Special Day in Santa Barbara, CA

    We had been working with Michelle for almost a year. She was responsive, helpful, and went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed working with her and would recommend her to anyone doing the Courthouse + Villa and Vine combo! (Will add more photos when I get them back from our photographer!)

    Dreamiest day

    Excellent communication! Michelle and her team (Naomi and Marlene) were efficient and quick to respond to any and all of my questions and/or concerns. They were professional and gave lots of creative and fun ideas throughout the planning process. I booked them for day-of coordination and was still able to have unlimited communication throughout my entire planning process. They truly exceeded my expectations and are always ready to answer any of my questions(sometimes before I could even ask!). They are all so experienced. Michelle was pregnant full term and worked with me throughout her pregnancy and was so professional and timely. Naomi was there for my wedding day and I just loved her fun and understand personality! I couldn’t have had a better wedding without them. A team of awesome women! I DIY’d a lot of my wedding and the way they set up and decorated at Petros Villa and Vine wedding venue was more beautiful than I could have imagined. Would recommend them a million times over. All my best wishes and prayers to them.

    ELC Events Co provides exceptional service

    Michelle and Naomi are absolute angels.

    We hired Michelle after a bad experience with our first coordinator who pushed ideas we didn't want, didn't listen to what we wanted, waited days or weeks to reply and was just an all around poor coordinator.

    Michelle was prompt (within the hour) in her replies. Her demeanor is calm, which was incredibly helpful because she doesn't overwhelm you with a million ideas and options at once. She takes everything step by step. My husband and I had zero decision fatigue working with her. She kept us on track, kept us calm and neither of us felt an ounce of stress, including the day-of. We were able to be in the moment with our friends and family which trickled down to all of the guests. We had so many compliments that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to, a credit to how Michelle and Naomi are able to handle everything so well brides and grooms CAN RELAX and HAVE FUN.

    ELC prices are worth every penny. Thank you Michelle and Naomi for making it the best wedding.

    You will not regret working with ELC Events!

    I wish I could give 10 stars to Michelle, Naomi, and ELC Events. We purchased the Day of Deluxe Package and it was absolutely perfect.

    The team was so incredibly helpful leading up to and on the day of our wedding.

    Michelle was able to get responses from vendors that would not answer my emails. Naomi was the coordinator the day of our event and it ran so smoothly. She had everything under control and even helped us with tiny details like making sure we had batteries for our no flame candles.

    As the bride, I felt like I could rely on ELC Events and trust them with our special day. It was a perfect event and you should trust them with yours too!

    The best in the business!

    We hired Michelle and her team for day-of coordination for our wedding. She wasn't just day-of/month-of, but she was available throughout the entire planning process via text, which was very helpful because I had so many questions regarding our wedding venue (Villa & Vine) and recommendations based on her experience! Michelle was also very helpful in providing recommendations for other vendors based on our budget. She and her team worked tirelessly on our wedding day making sure everything went smoothly and was set up how I had envisioned. I would not have been able to pull of this wedding with her and her team. They did not make me feel stressed at all on the actual day of the wedding. I cannot recommend ELC Events Co more!

    Truly the backbone of our wedding

    Michelle came recommended to us by our DJ. I am so thankful for that! She was our best investment: combining professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness. She takes great notes, and is very organized. She truly goes the extra mile to make sure the day is perfect. To save costs, we got a cheap two tier cake that was undecorated. She kindly and beautifully decorated it with some of our flowers - it was so photogenic! My only advice is for brides - know the difference between a day of coordinator and planner, and respect those boundaries. That will leave no room for disappointment. :)

    A wedding day to Remember!

    Michelle is one of the best in the business, plain and simple. From day one we felt like we were her only clients, although we know she was managing multiple events, much larger than our wedding, every week.
    We planned our wedding remotely, but Michelle communications are so thorough I felt like I had a weekly site visit. SHe is also very creative in her ideas. Michelle is well versed in the wedding industry, and because of this she can anticipate and prevent small glitches. She even picked up the flowers, the day of and added ribbons to give it her touch. She had all the vendors names and made sure they were on track. The things I forgot; Michelle remembered. By the end of the evening, she had the cars packed with presents and vases leaving the venue in perfect shape. For me what makes a wedding successful is the flow of the timeline, she did not miss a minute. Michelle could run the world. Make sure you don't miss an opportunity to partner with her on your special event.”

    Fantastic!

    Michelle was fantastic on our wedding day and beforehand! She helped organize our timeline and made sure we got what we wanted! We had some hiccups with our makeup vendor and we’re running late for our ceremony.. Michelle made sure we were able to have our ceremony and say our “ I do’s”! She did an amazing job with our reception and making sure the day was on schedule and ran smoothly. We highly recommend Michelle for your wedding or event!

    Best vendor decision of our wedding!

    I can't speak highly enough of our experience with Michelle from Events Like Clockwork! We hired her as our day-of coordinator and added the vendor point-of-contact extra. Michelle met with my husband and me several times before our big day and was a HUGE help in selecting our additional vendors.
    On the day of our wedding, Michelle was invaluable. She helped coordinate our shuttles, table set-up, caterers, wedding party, officiant, DJ and photographer. Throughout the night, she was always moving around, making sure everything was going smoothly, which was a big weight off my mind. Our wedding went off PERFECTLY, and I am positive that it would have been much more difficult, if not impossible, without Michelle.
    If you are looking for a day-of coordinator in the Southern California area (ours was in Santa Ynez, but I know Michelle is very active in Santa Barbara and Ventura County as well!), you should absolutely get in touch with Michelle.

    Absolutely amazing

    Michelle was so incredible to work with. She was reasonably priced, so communicative and she helped out so much. On the day of our wedding, I didn’t have to think about anything as Michelle was right on top of it all! She had everything set up early so I could take a quick peak before the ceremony and she even took the time to help me bustle my dress (and boy was she fast!). Michelle was phenomenal to work with and highly recommend her and her assistant.

    Loved working with Michelle

    My wife and I hired Michelle for day-of coordination for a wedding in Goleta at Circle Bar B. Circle Bar B has limited cell service which makes coordination a little more difficult. Michelle made sure to get in contact with all my other vendors including dessert, DJ, rentals, transportation, and photographer. Our day went extremely smooth due to her professionalism and attention to detail. Even though there were a few hiccups (e.g. our officiant almost missing the ceremony) she reassured and helped us stay calm. Michelle also helped with some key parts to our set up and helped clean up at the end of the night. We felt very calm during our wedding because we knew Michelle was on top of everything. 120% would hire again!

    We loved Michelle at ELC Events!

    Michelle was wonderful!! Fabulous wedding coordinator (and person) and a true pleasure to work with.

    My fiancé and I hired Michelle as our day of wedding coordinator for our Santa Barbara wedding in April 2022. From our first interaction, I knew she was perfect for us. Transparent, responsive, diligent and always with a positive disposition. A professional through and through. I love planning events, so naturally I took on a leading role in planning most aspects of our wedding. However, I wanted to hire a professional for guidance but also to take over execution the day of. Michelle was there for me EVERY step of the way. She offered advice and recommendations when needed and always responded to my (many) emails promptly. I don't think I could have done it without her!

    The day of the wedding was FLAWLESS! It was a treat to sit back and enjoy our special day without a single worry. One of our favorite moments was walking into our reception venue and seeing the final set up - we were wowed!! It was stunning! We brought a lot of personal details to our wedding, and it was so sweet to see how she so perfectly sprinkled them throughout the venue. Our tables were dreamy and we received so many complements on the design and arrangement of the entire venue!

    Last word of advice, a wedding coordinator on your big day is a must, and we highly recommend Michelle and ELC Events!

    Michelle is truly wonderful! Our big day went so smoothly because of her! Honestly, the 6-8 months leading up to our wedding was so easy because Michelle was there to guide us, support us, and answer any and all questions!     Easiest day ever!

    My husband and I can't recommend Michelle fast enough. Our day was so seamless and easy and I really owe it to Michelle. She ensured we didn't have to worry about a thing on our actual wedding day, but was so helpful along the way. We have never planned an event like a wedding before, she asked us questions we hadn't even thought about and helped us make decisions based on her experience. We feel that she went above and beyond for us the entire way, we can't thank her enough.

    Professional and so organized

    We hired Michelle as our day of coordinator and she was incredible. Prior to the wedding, she provided us with a spreadsheet to complete and met us at the venue for a walk through. This was super helpful as she brought up a lot of things we hadn’t thought of at that point. The day of she brought an assistant and showed up early, and immediately got to work. She did all the ridiculous things my mom asked of her (such as putting bowties on every moose in the venue???) and even offered to drop off my rented cake stands to the bakery in camarillo the next day so I wouldn’t have to do it. My mom was literally raving about how amazing she was. I heard later she was also excellent at wrangling our rowdiest groomsmen before we walked out and honestly I still probably don’t even know about half of the things she took care of which says a lot because I find a way to stress about everything. Her assistance was worth every penny and I definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their wedding to go smoothly.

    Excellent!

    Michelle was incredible. We had to cancel our wedding twice due to Covid, and she was with us for nearly two years of that stressful journey! She was so flexible, and so communicative. My husband and I were running around like headless chickens and she was always so calm, kind, and professional in giving us options and support. If I were to try and have my wedding again, I would absolutely hire Michelle a thousand times over.

    Amazing Coordinator- Michelle

    Michelle was amazing throughout the whole process- very reliable!! She made sure to communicate with all vendors leading to our big day. The spreadsheet she provides is very helpful. Everything went smoothly and according to plan on our wedding day! She made our set up and break down look so easy. Dealing with our family and wedding party was definitely not easy, but she managed that masterfully as well. Would definitely recommend!

    Absolutely worth it!

    Michelle was so great to work with, very friendly and professional! I hired her as a day of coordinator at the tail end when I realized I couldn't do everything myself. I was so grateful a friend had recommended her, she was absolutely worth it! She's very well organized and kept us on schedule. Everything ran smooth and we enjoyed our beautiful day.

    Michelle's work is absolutely OUTSTANDING!! She is extremely organized, communicative and offers great ideas/solutions. My husband Jonathan and I are so grateful to have had the pleasure of working with her. She executed our dream wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect!     The Best Choice We Made

    We really liked all of our vendors but we can say, without doubt, that Michelle was the best choice we made. From the moment we met her we felt like we "clicked" with her. We enjoyed her no-nonsense attitude and her honest answers to all 800,000 questions we asked. She really put us at ease and kept things running smoothly. She helped us have the wedding we wanted as opposed to trying to steer us toward a bunch of traditional things we were "expected to do." Michelle had so many great ideas from floral to dessert and she even helped us out by picking up our dessert and working with one of our moms to get our reception venue set up earlier in the day. She worked well with all of our vendors. Our guests and especially our parents were full of compliments for her. They were SO impressed and so were we. Thanks, Michelle, for making our day flawless!

    Day of Coordinator

    Michelle was EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! She made my wedding perfect. We were on time to the minute with the schedule we created before the wedding. If anything went wrong, I don’t know about it, Bc everything went perfect! She was so professional and timely. She went above and beyond to make my wedding day stress free for me. No amount of money can give you that! She was so kind to all our my guests and has such a calming presence. She calmed me and I didn’t have to worry about one detail. She was on top of it with all of my vendors and called the week before to make sure everything was set. I can’t thank her enough. She was incredible. I would rate her a 12/10!! Highly recommend her to anyone who doesn’t want to have to worry about ANYTHING on the best day of your life.

    Michelle is wonderful!

    Michelle was essential to making the day run smoothly. During the planning phase she was incredibly prompt and responsive and reassuring. I looked to her for sound advice with the layout for the reception, and she handled all the little details I didn't think of for our ceremony. There were a number of moving parts with our event, and I did not have to worry about any of them. I was able to enjoy my day and not think about how things needed to come together. She was there every step of the way through the evening making sure I had what I needed. Thank you, Michelle! It was so great working with you!

    Amazing Day of Coordinator!

    My fiance and I loved working with Michelle and know that our wedding wouldn't have been as perfect without all of her hard work. We live in Texas and she was instrumental in executing our dream wedding in Santa Barbara. She was very organized and on top of everything. Throughout our planning process we touched base a few times and our wedding day was so smooth and we didn't have to think about the timeline or the details. During the wedding and reception she helped us find time to eat/enjoy the food, drink water and made sure that any issues that popped up were fully handled. If anything did happen, we didn't even know it occurred. At the end of the night, her flower donation service was also a life saver for us! We didn't have the ability to drive to the nursing home to donate the flowers ourselves and having Michelle donate it on our behalf made it effortless.

    Michelle Spina is wonderful! She is very professional. She proactively managed the process and anticipated things in advance. I have been involved in many events in the past, but I would say that Michelle is the best event planner I have ever worked with. I would gladly work with her again.

    Absolutely Amazing- 100 out of 10 every time

    Michelle is the most amazing coordinator. You will have absolutely NO regrets in working with her. She is extremely responsive, listens to your concerns and makes things happen on the sideline. We had weird weather roll through our event multiple different times- Michelle and her assistant moved tables in and out of our venue on countless occasions. She appears calm and collected whereas other coordinators we have experienced run around and look frazzled the entire event. We were so thankful to have Michelle on our team and I am confident our wedding would not have gone as smoothly without her.

    I attended a wedding that was coordinated by Michelle. I actually asked one of the staff members the name of her company, just so that I could leave a review.     Couldn't have imagined a better experience!

    I have to say I was so unsure and scared about hiring a wedding coordinator but finding Michelle was one of the best decisions I made during the entire process. She was patient with me during planning and generous with her time when my Husband and I would ask to meet with her. I was a mostly DIY bride and Michelle was incredible in working with our site and all other vendors in coordination, setup of all decorations and florals, as well as any other detail that came up that day. I would never have thought that our wedding day would go perfectly but honestly, Michelle made that happen and I am so grateful to her. The value of her service in the market is extremely high - we cannot thank her enough!

    Great experience with Events Like Clockwork

    We are so happy we went with Michelle as our day-of coordinator. After speaking with many different coordinators, she was the one we resonated with, just super friendly and down to earth. She was always happy to speak with us in the lead up to wedding week; she helped us plan out our timeline and answered all the random questions that we had.

    And she was just fantastic on the wedding day. She did so much in making sure the venue was set up just how we wanted, and it looked fantastic. She even went the day before the ceremony and found a great way to present our guest book.

    She was present throughout the ceremony and reception making sure things were running smoothly. And then afterwards she helped clean up and take everything we brought back to our home.

    We are super happy we worked with Michelle and can't recommend her highly enough, she made our big day run like clockwork.

    Fantastic Day-of Coordinator

    Michelle and her team went above and beyond expectations. Michelle was super flexible and helpful. We hired her for day of coordination of our wedding but she was available at any time for any questions during the few months before. She met us at the venue and helped to pull all of our ideas and visions together to help make them a reality, which really put us at ease. She came and picked up all of the decor a few days before the wedding which was one less thing we had to worry about. She communicated with all of our other vendors and made sure everyone was on the same page. On the day of the wedding, Michelle and her team truly made miracles happen. She pulled everything together and turned our venue into everything we imagined it would be and so much more. Hiring Michelle as our day of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a coordinator for their wedding.

    After our first phone call when I was getting a feel for Michelle, I hung up with a great feeling and so much excitement. I knew I wanted to hire her as our day-of-coordinator. She was quick and professional in her responses, as well as experienced. I was incorporating Chinese and Buddhist aspects into the ceremony, to which she was respectful and encouraging of. She even let me deliver centerpieces to her house so I would not have to worry about bringing them up to my venue location. On our wedding day, she did everything as promised. The only hiccups were due to items being forgotten on my end (tip: don't trust the groomsmen with the little details! haha). Despite that, she was quick on her feet to come up with substitute solutions. I 100% recommend her as your coordinator. :)

    Booking Michelle as our wedding coordinator was the single best decision my partner and I made in our wedding planning process. She was incredibly helpful, kind, insightful, courteous, easygoing and overall a joy to work with. She went above and beyond her duties as day-of and rehearsal dinner coordinator, making sure that no detail went overlooked throughout the wedding weekend and in the months leading up to it. She was responsive on email and was full of creative and interesting ideas and solutions for any question or hiccup that came up during our planning. She is able to roll with the punches and not get thrown off by any short notice changes, while still maintaining a positive, calm and peaceful demeanor which I so valued during the frantic months leading up to our big day. Michelle is incredibly talented and devoted to her work, and does everything in her power to ensure that her clients are taken care of and that their event goes off without any hiccups. She also has a great eye for design; she helped design cute menus for our rehearsal dinner, set up all the decor the morning of our wedding along with her assistant, and because she is so detail-oriented and focused, everything looked beyond amazing. We received so many compliments on the decor, the general aesthetic, and how seemlessly the day seemed to run. Many friends and family members said our wedding was the smoothest they had ever attended in terms of flow of events, for which every credit goes to Michelle. Michelle managed all the vendors, deliveries, set-up and breakdown on the day of our wedding so we truly didn't need to worry about anything. All of this impeccable service and hard work came at a very reasonable price, compared to other coordinators we researched here on wedding wire. Having Michelle on our team was definitely the best decision we made, and we HIGHLY recommend her to anyone considering booking her coordination services.

    I just got married yesterday and Michelle and her team are my first vendor review. She made it all happen! From rehearsal dinner to reception it felt so great to know we were all taken care of. Despite all of our best plans many things went wrong. It was very hot and even when emotions were running high Michelle kept her cool.

    We had to change ceremony site because of heat and it was totally not stressful. Sadly my grand DIY greenery got all dried out and yucky. I was so sure it could take the heat but I was wrong. Wouldn’t you know she salvaged the usable pieces, and threw together something beautiful from baby’s breath and roses! Perhaps the greatest task of all was helping my parents stay calm and helping them enjoy the day. I don’t know anyone who can run around in heat all day and still stay perfectly sweet, calming and professional is a hero in my book. This is one wedding expense that was just beyond worth it. Thank you guys!!!!

    PS get yourself the rehearsal dinner help too, you’ll thank yourself later.

    If your getting married in Santa Barbara you NEED Michelle. My fiancé thought we could do it all ourselves but once we layed out everything that needed to be done the day of, there was no way. We hired Michelle for the day of coordinating but she was pretty much there for the whole process. She sat in on our vendor meeting and conference calls and even gave us tips to save on reception costs. On the day of the wedding she took care of EVERY LITTLE DETAIL!! I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She kept in contact with all the vendors. Made sure the reception venue was looked fantastic when we arrived. She even did some floral arrangeing! At the ceremony she handled everything from the florist, musicians and chairs vendors. My new hubby and I can’t Thank Michelle enough for everything she did for us that day!!! Seriously, she was the best decision we made for our wedding day!!! Thank you SOO much Michelle!!!

    I hired Michelle Spina from Events Like Clockwork, to be our Wedding Planner for the "Day of." On the first day that I met her, I was able to see that she was organized and very professional. I am very organized myself and was required by the venue to have a Wedding Planner. I was not truly able to foresee the value that she would provide, until the wedding day. I had created a few projects that had to be set up early for a noon wedding. While I was having my hair and makeup done, Michelle completely set up everything.

    In addition, she was able to mitigate some issues that developed during the planning stages between, me, the venue and the other side of the family. I am so grateful that she was so competent and a pleasure to work with. I will definitely recommend her to anyone planning a wedding.

    Michelle was awesome!!! Professional and very responsive.

    My fiancé and I hired Michelle as our day of wedding coordinator. I had already booked all my vendors and had a vintage glam theme in mind as far as decor, but had zero idea how to pull it all off on the day of the wedding. Every guest that would be attending was going to be from out of town, we were not able to set up at the venue the night before so I was solely dependent on Michelle to pull off the wedding of our dreams the day of.

    I had spent several months gathering every vintage piece from antique shops and thrift stores to set up our table centerpieces and decor throughout the venue. I explained to her that I had SO MUCH STUFF to put together. She seemed pretty confident that it wouldn’t be a problem. All she asked for was a couple of reference pictures on how I wanted the centerpieces to look. After sending those she didn’t ask anymore questions, which made me feel at ease. Michelle also went over a timeline with us. I had no idea how many details went into making the day flow smoothly. She made great suggestions and it was easy to plug in all my information on her online workbook.

    The morning of the wedding when we handed over the keys to the uhaul that held all our wedding decor...I was finally able to breathe! Everything was out of my hands and I was able to enjoy some champagne with my bridesmaids while we got ready. Any questions or last minute things I had forgotten were quickly taken care of by her team. She answered my text messages just as fast as I was sending them and the entire day went according to plan without any problems.

    When my husband and I showed up to the venue everything was perfect! Our faces lit up at how beautifully everything looked. It was perfect!

    I highly suggest hiring a day of coordinator for your big day, it’s a must! And I absolutely, 100%, reccomend you hire Events Like Clockwork.

    Michelle was excellent! We hired her for day-of coordination services. She accompanied us to the venue walkthrough a month before the event and helped us take notes and ask pertinent questions that we had not thought of. She also met us for the final walk-through 2 days before and picked up all the materials and supplies we had for the wedding. This made it easier to relax knowing that she was taking care of the logistics. The day-of Michelle arrived very early to pick up additional supplies and final payments. She communicated throughout the day as necessary without stressing us out. She helped put out fires as they came up and made sure we were taken care of (with food and drinks and timeline). Michelle was there until the very end, helped us clean and do the closeout with the venue. We are so happy to have worked with Michelle and would highly recommend her services.

    When my husband and I decided last minute that we wanted a day-of wedding coordinator, I was over stressing about the wedding. I wanted to sit back and enjoy this experience. In my head I thought, "we just need somebody, anybody." Well, she wasn't just anyone. She is an amazing, warm, organized, artistic, reliable, and fun person.     Michelle was the last vendor we hired when she should have been the first. We honestly couldn't have gone through our wedding day without her as our day-of-coordinator.

    As a Type A bride my nerves were instantaneously settled after our first meeting with Michelle. Her professionalism, her demeanor, and her impeccable organization skills will allow any future bride or groom to sleep better throughout wedding planning process.

    We have recommended her to our friends and 2 brides have already hired her too!

    If you're still thinking "I don't need a day of coordinator" I can honestly tell you that the peace of mind Michelle brings you is worth every dime. We can't put a price to everything she did for us on our intricate but beautiful day.

    Michelle is simple amazing! She went above and beyond what we asked her for. She planned out beautiful rehearsal and dinner, arrived early the next day in our bridal sweet with our bouquets that she picked up from our florist and other goodies! When things were not going well she took full control of the situation and worked tirelessly to make sure I was not aware of anything going wrong that would stress me! I have recommended her to two of my friends already and will continue to do so with 100% confidence!

    The worst part of my wedding day.

    I absolutely do not recommend Michelle for any event coordination. “Events Like Clockwork” - truly, anything BUT.

    We hired Michelle for our wedding last June. It’s taken me almost a year to write this because I’ve been dreading sitting down and rehashing all the negatives of our wedding day.

    We hired Michelle to help on our wedding day because we had all of the ideas and pieces in place, just needed someone to help coordinate and execute them on the big day. Sadly, that did not happen. We ended up cleaning up the venue until 1am on our wedding night.

    We found Michelle on a reputable wedding website and she had great reviews. We met with her in person to review our plans twice before the wedding. We made our needs and expectations very clear. We told her that our family was very helpful and could be available on the day to help set up things. She consistently told us that wouldn’t be necessary. She told us that all of the guests should be able to enjoy themselves and she would coordinate everything the day of without help from our family. She told us that she would have a couple people on site to assist her the day of, which was the main selling point for us and why we ultimately chose her over others working solo.

    We were fortunate enough to have access to the venue the day before the wedding to set up most of the reception space. She came with no tools or resources - she had no people to help her and she didn’t even have simple things like a pair of scissors.

    I offered Michelle help setting up several times on the day of because I had downtime waiting for hair and makeup. Everytime I started working on something, she shooed me away telling me it was my wedding day and I should be relaxing and enjoying myself and she would take care of everything. I would have been grateful for this, but those tasks were never completed. She did this to several members of my family and bridal party throughout the day.

    The chairs had to be moved from the outdoor ceremony site to the inside reception site during cocktail hour. This was a constant topic of conversation, we told her repeatedly that our family could help move chairs and she told us repeatedly that wouldn’t be necessary and she would have assistants to help with that. The day of the wedding, during cocktail hour, we ended up having to task our family and friends with moving chairs.

    This, unfortunately, was a common theme for the day.

    The backdrop used in our ceremony was supposed to be moved inside behind the head table - it was never moved. We had decorations ready that just needed to be set up, and did a walk through of the venue ahead of time, telling her exactly how we wanted the room set up. She said she liked our ideas and would take care of putting things up.

    We purchased more than enough cheese and crackers for the cocktail hour. We noticed everything was empty about halfway through and figured everyone ate it all, only to find bags of cheese and crackers left in the kitchen at the end of the night. This also happened with the drinks, wine, salad, chips, and champagne. We had so much food left at the end of the night, when we had been seeing empty refreshment tables throughout the day.

    When it came time for the bouquet toss, where she told me she would hand me my bouquet, she was nowhere to be found and I had to seek out my bouquet myself.

    We were serving churros on our dessert table. Very easy to pop in the oven in the kitchen for 5 minutes, toss on a plate, and put out on the table. We told her this in every meeting we had before hand, and during set up the day before. We told her that we could task someone to make them, but she insisted she would handle it. The day of, she was complaining that it “wasn’t her job” to make churros. Something we had offered to do, and she insisted she would take care of. She also did not cut the wedding cake or task anyone with cutting.

    When it came time for the toast, first she said we didn’t have any champagne, when I personally put over 30 bottles of champagne in the kitchen the day before. Once she found the obvious collection of champagne, she had no idea how to open a bottle of champagne and the bottles had not been chilled.

    The crowning glory of her failure was the fact that she was supposed to coordinate the pick up of the rental chairs at the end of the night. She told my mom that it would cost extra to have the chairs picked up the night of the wedding, but that was worth it to us to have it taken care of. My mom wrote her a check for the rental company and asked her to coordinate the pickup. At 11pm she was sitting around waiting for the truck to arrive for pick up - She had never confirmed the pick up with the rental company! The end of the night came and as I was excited to celebrate the rest of my wedding night, I ended up having to change into yoga pants an haul chairs through my venue. We were at the venue with a few kind guests and our amazing DJ who offered to stay and help until 1am. This was my wedding night, I should have been enjoying myself, not breaking a sweat hauling chairs when she had said repeatedly during the day that she “would take care of it”.

    At one point, during one of these crises, she even told my mom “I’m so tired!” I’m sorry, but we paid her good money to work on this day. She assured us over and over that she had everything handled and she didn’t need help, and we ended up working through the night on our wedding night. We were all tired, even if she was tired, she had no place trying to complain to us about being tired while doing the job we paid her for. She tried to serve us sob stories after the fact “my phone was broken” “my assistants couldn’t come”. As a professional, she should have had a plan B in place for those issues, rather than complaining to the people who hired her to take the pressure off on this special day.

    She seemed so overwhelmed by every aspect of the day - coordinating with vendors, setting up the venue, keeping food and drinks stocked. She even struggled to coordinate the traditional, basic wedding components like cake cutting, bouquet toss, and champagne toast.

    We told her repeatedly exactly what needed to be coordinated for this wedding - if she couldn’t handle it, she never should have accepted the job. She couldn’t even handle coordinating the vendors - they were still asking me questions the day of because she was nowhere to be found.

    It was a beautiful day anyway, but it will forever be clouded by memories of what should have been handled by the wedding coordinator.

    Save yourself the money and the heartache - do not hire Michelle for your event.
