As full-time-working mother of a bride who is also 100% busy with medical school, we entered the wedding planning process with agreement that we would need the most capable and patient planner to keep two highly driven and sometimes demanding mother/daughter duo calm and happy. Well we found her. Elizabeth is not only all those things, but she is highly proactive, productive, resourceful and an absolute joy to be around as the friendly and personable person she is.
Since I had already typed an email to her the day after my daughter's most perfect wedding weekend, I thought it might be helpful to share that as I think it hits all the notes I would want to know as we were trying to pick a planner:
I don't know where to start thanking you for all you did to make this past weekend perfect! From the beginning you've been the calm, confidence-inspiring presence that kept us on track and made the planning tasks manageable and not overwhelming. Hannah and I have both commented on how smoothly the process went. We are both highly organized and driven and without a strong planner with such a confident and highly capable presence, chaos may have erupted, haha!
It was quite the opposite. Your meticulous attention to detail made everything run smoothly. You made it easy for Hannah and I, both the planning and wedding day couldn't have been more perfect. You enabled us to focus 0% on making things happen, and instead were only focused on building cherished memories we will long hold in our hearts. Truly you are a treasure and we are so very fortunate to have worked with you!

I cannot recommend Elizabeth at EKS Weddings and Events highly enough! As someone who has coordinated large-scale events professionally, with a graphic design background, and a high degree of perfectionism, I tend to have high standards and a hard time letting go of control. However, from our very first meetings, Elizabeth's expertise put me completely at ease.
Her communication skills are outstanding - she was responsive, clear, quick, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. Elizabeth's professionalism and timeliness were impeccable, but what truly set her apart was her invaluable perspective on the little, but impactful, wedding decisions. She offered guidance that helped us navigate choices with confidence.
Elizabeth's coordination during the month before, the rehearsal, the day of, and after the wedding was flawless. She ensured our wedding day ran smoothly without a hitch, attended to everyone's needs, and made certain our families didn't have to stay late for cleanup. She anticipated issues before they arose and handled everything with the utmost grace and efficiency.
Working with Elizabeth allowed me to be present and enjoy our special day knowing everything was in capable hands. The entire experience was seamless, and I am profoundly grateful for her services. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Elizabeth! From start to finish, she was an absolute dream to work with. Her organization skills are unmatched—she kept everything on track and ensured I never felt overwhelmed. Not only did she help me stay within my budget, but she guided me through every decision, ensuring we made the best choices without sacrificing quality or style. Plus an added bonus - she’s an absolute gem of a human and was a pure joy to work with and chat with!!
Elizabeth managed every vendor relationship and contract behind the scenes, which I meant I truly had nothing to worry or think about. Her vast experience meant she was negotiating contracts just as we needed and we were making decisions that would result in the day of our dreams.
On our wedding day, Elizabeth worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything went off without a hitch (from steaming all of our dresses the night before to driving all of the wedding supplies to the venue so we didn’t have to pack them to cleaning our the bridal house so we came home to a spotless home Saturday night). She was so understanding, compassionate and thoughtful. She managed every detail so seamlessly, it literally felt like pure magic. The entire day was blissful, and I truly could not have asked for a more perfect celebration.
I’m genuinely sad that I only get to have one wedding because I would absolutely work with Elizabeth every day if I could! She brought so much peace of mind, creativity, and professionalism to the entire process. Elizabeth is truly a GEM & has my highest recommendation! We picked her full service package and realized very quickly that she truly loves her work, which helps her excel in it in all the best ways! I only wish she could be available all over the country to help my family & friends plan their weddings in far away states etc!
I'm typically a tough critic, and I still felt that she was the perfect mix of the highest professionalism, reliability, & communication standards while also being so down to earth, welcoming, fun, easy to work with, kind, & caring to the point where she felt like a true friend to us & our family!
As a person who is detail oriented and very organized myself, I truly appreciated her incredible organization, attention to detail, well designed charts/excel sheets/planning tools, and her enthusiastic adaptability/eagerness to accept any challenge since we were doing a Sri Lankan-American (multi-cultural) wedding which most people are not familiar with. Even when we had some hiccups with Sri Lankan plans that were out of anyone's control, she remained so calm, positive, and was an excellent problem solver to find a way to get everything done well!
I can't say enough positive things about Elizabeth! Working with her was so delightful that I'm already thinking we should have a vow renewal ceremony in the future IF Elizabeth is available to be the planner! :D We received numerous compliments about our wedding and had many friends & family approach us saying our wedding planner seemed so excellent as well!

You need to hire Elizabeth for your wedding or event! My husband and I started planning our wedding in Summer 2022 and Elizabeth was our first hire. She made the whole process a breeze for our Fall 2023 wedding.
We paid for her full-service planning, and it is literally worth every penny. She gave us a year’s worth of peace of mind and guided us through every step of the planning process. She gathered vendor options, came to all our vendor appointments, and was ‘on-it’ all the time. Every time a vendor would ask us a question, we’d turn to Elizabeth and she’d be there with her pink binder and the answer or a recommendation.
Elizabeth's meticulous month-by-month planning approach was a game-changer. It made the whole process feel manageable and never overwhelming. As our wedding month approached, wedding nerves kicked in, but she was the source of calm and always gave us confidence that we were right on schedule.
Our fall-themed wedding was nothing short of magical, thanks to Elizabeth's keen eye for detail. She knew exactly which flowers and colors would bring our vision to life, and many guests commented on how cohesive the design was.
Elizabeth really was a pivotal part of making our wedding day the beautiful, memorable, and seamless event it was. We are forever grateful for her dedication, expertise, and the personal touch she brought to our special day. We highly recommend Elizabeth to any couple planning their wedding. We would highly recommend Elizabeth to anybody looking for a wedding planner. She was extremely helpful, attentive, communicative and organised with a large attention to detail. She guided us through the entire process from a year out and took care of everything on the day of the wedding.
She took soo much stress out of the whole process which allowed is to just enjoy the whole day - we could not have done it without her

After reading positive reviews of EKS Weddings and Events, we scheduled a meeting with owner and lead planner Elizabeth Klespies to talk about our 50th anniversary celebration. Within the first 15 minutes, we knew our event would be in talented, capable hands. She came armed with her color-coded planner and a zipper pouch of pens and pencils. Her attention was riveted on our every response to her probing questions regarding what we wanted our event to be. Clearly she was extremely organized and obviously she cared. We couldn’t sign the contract fast enough, so no one else could book her for our date. It was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
We cannot say enough about the magic Elizabeth performed to make our celebration, in the words of many of our guests, “the best event I’ve ever attended.” Her monthly reminder lists were invaluable in keeping us on track. She was absolutely unflappable and completely calm, even when we made major changes, like the time of the event and the venue. She just congenially accommodated our requests and “fixed” everything we had disrupted. She truly wanted this to be our dream event.
Some of the best elements of the celebration would not have been possible without Elizabeth’s guidance and assistance. She has such an extensive knowledge of talent in the Atlanta area that when we asked at a fairly late date to have a caricaturist and a living statue, she simply made it happen. She was also an effective advocate for us in persuading the venue to ease some of their policies to permit one of our special requests.
On the day of our main event, Elizabeth and her assistant Kat absolutely transformed the blank slate of the ballroom into an exquisite event space in what seemed a very short time. Then we were able to see how all the choices and decisions she helped us make over the previous months came together with her talent to create exactly the look we had wanted. The entire evening went off flawlessly thanks to Elizabeth’s talent and skills.
At the end of the event, while we were saying goodbye to our guests, Elizabeth and Kat distributed centerpieces to our delighted guests, rounded up all the items that were rented, and packed up our personal items. By the time we thought to inquire about our things, they had been safely stored in our hotel room.
If you would like to hire a planner who will help you bring your vision to life and give you peace of mind to enjoy your special day while she takes care of the details, you cannot make a better choice than Elizabeth Klespies and EKS.EKS Weddings's reply:

Elizabeth was absolutely incredible to work with and truly made our day go off without any issues (even with 20mph winds at our outdoor ceremony)! She was wonderful to work with- responsive, professional, and very knowledgeable. We had her as our month/day of coordinator and even throughout the beginning of our planning process she helped us out with vendor recommendations and small detail questions. I cannot recommend Elizabeth enough! From start to finish, she made this entire process so seamless and easy. She sent us bulleted ‘to-do’ lists each month that made getting things done so much less overwhelming. She was amazing at finding vendors that were available and in our price range, taking all the stress out of the research. She totally understood our vision and helped us curate our perfect day. Day of, her and her assistant were so on top of the timing and schedule and if anything went wrong, I never heard about it and Elizabeth handled it fabulously. It took all of the stress and anxiety out of the day and just made it about the two of us having the best day ever. Elizabeth is truly the best. Elizabeth was our full-service planner for our wedding at the Fernbank Museum in September 2022, and working with her firm, EKS Weddings and Events, was the single best decision of our entire planning process. We did not hire Elizabeth on a whim; I spoke with many potential planners and Elizabeth really stood out. From our first conversation, Elizabeth was professional, organized, and detail-oriented.
When we first got engaged, I actually did not want a full-service planner and was instead leaning towards hiring a month-of-coordinator. My partner and I both have planning experience, and we wanted our wedding to perfectly represent us. Before working with Elizabeth, we thought hiring a full-service planner meant we’d be “giving up control” of planning. In reality, working with Elizabeth allowed us to host a perfect wedding while still enjoying the planning process. We were able to focus on the fun aspects, like tastings and décor, while she handled the not-so-fun parts, like organizing fine-print contracts and budgeting.
A great vendor team is critical to any wedding’s success, and Elizabeth was the best leader. She has amazing industry connections and very high standards, so her recommendations saved us from extra stress and kept us on budget. Elizabeth’s industry reputation is stellar, and this became clear as we approached our wedding day. Several different vendors, including ones Elizabeth had never worked with before, raved about her organization and attention to detail. One vendor even said we were lucky to have the best planner in Atlanta, and we couldn’t agree more.
Elizabeth went above and beyond for us. Like any good planner, she organized our budget, handled vendor communications, and kept us on task with consistent updates. But Elizabeth did so much more; when we realized our original venue (which we booked prior to hiring Elizabeth) could not meet our needs, she found us something even better. When Elizabeth saw that I was getting overwhelmed with the “little detail” decisions like place-cards and ceremony programs, she suggested an in-person meeting and worked through it with me. She even helped DIY a few personal touches, which is something we are so grateful for. My now husband and I have said, “Thank God for Elizabeth” more times than we can count during the past 18 months.
Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more, and we have Elizabeth to thank for that. Elizbeth and her awesome assistant Kat handled everything the day-of, allowing everyone else to simply enjoy the day. Many guests have said it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended, and that’s a testament to Elizabeth’s hard work, organization, and thoughtfulness. Elizabeth is one of a kind and the best in the business. We are forever grateful to her and give her our very highest recommendation.

I could not have done it without Elizabeth! We used her for our "month of" coordinator. She was constantly in communication with me and made sure she knew exactly what we wanted. She was a true lifesaver on our wedding day, I was worry free and had no idea what was going on behind that scenes. She always made sure that my husband and I had a drink in our hand and that we were happy.

I'm going to be honest here, I'm a pretty A-type personality, needy, picky and have "too high" of expectations in most everything in my life. So, you can imagine I wanted my wedding and the planning experience to be flawless. I came across Elizabeth because my sister-in-law used her... she loved her and so did I... like a million-fold! Elizabeth is just a great person and personality, easy to work with, reliable and SO timely ... she would respond to emails quicker then I could write the email. She fought for me to get the best deals and organized everything so that I could relax. It's easy to have anxiety about picking a wedding planner if you don't know them, but you don't have to worry about that with Elizabeth. My husband and I are beyond happy with choosing the EKS team to help plan and execute our wedding. I plan to highly recommend her to all of my friends soon to get married!!EKS Weddings's reply:
