This was me and my fiancés first time ever experiencing a professional photoshoot so we felt a little nervous at first. We quickly realized there was no need to feel this way and the whole shoot honestly felt like we were hanging out with a friend. Sam allows for a space of authenticity and comfortably which is shown through his pictures. Between his editing, unique style and artistic creativity his photos really are like no others. Ever since showing our photos to friends and family every single one of them have asked for his name!! We could not have asked for a better experience and we cannot recommend Sam more! -

I would recommend Eighty-Eight Photography to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in the Cleveland area, or any other area for that matter! Sam was incredible - he got so many incredible shots. He has a great eye, is a great director, and will help you get some incredible pictures even on wet/dreary days like we had! He is efficient with his photos - which is incredibly valuable on a busy wedding day. Also, just a really nice dude who is easy to get along with. The videographer Matt was also wonderful and helped us get some great lighting for our pictures as well as captured a great video of the ceremony! Would definitely recommend! -

Eighty eight photo is the epitome of professionalism. We had the pleasure of having Sam and Dennis at our wedding and they did a phenomenal job! From the moment I saw Sam's work at a bridal show I knew I had to have him as my photographer and he did not disappoint. He starts out by taking the time to really get to know you so that he can really give meaning to the photos. He works with you to make the day exactly what you want it to be. He was also very helpful in creating a wedding timeline and keeping us on schedule. He made sure to have us tell him all of the photos we wanted to make sure we got before the wedding day so that when our minds were occupied he already knew what to do and we didn't forget any photos we wanted with friends or family. I'm beyond thrilled that I was able to find such a talented photographer and Dennis as well their work speaks for itself. We had fun joking throughout the day and they made sure to get candid photos and also pulled us aside when they saw an opportunity for a really awesome and creative image. Everyone has been raving about our wedding photos and I haven't been able to stop looking at them either. Also important to note I got every single one of our photos back less than 2 weeks after the wedding! I was so thrilled and excited to get them back sooo soon! Promise me when I tell you that you won't regret using eighty eight photo. They are worth every penny and more. There is no one else I would have wanted to trust to document the beginning of our lives together! I've already decided Sam's my photographer for life! 📸✨️ -

Best experience EVER
Wow! Where to start... this experience was the best a bride could have hoped for. Sam and DJ were an absolute pleasure to work with. We not only used Sam for the engagement photos, but loved working with him so much that we had to reach back out for the wedding photos. Sam and DJ are fun spirited and made the process not only affordable for us on a budget, but smooth and easy. Sam never fails to make you laugh but does it at the best time to really capture that perfect shot. When I say I was OBSESSED with both the engagement and wedding photos...Its no joke! I think the pictures are beyond any expectation I had. Like WOW I can't stop looking at them! Overall, Sam and DJ were incredible and I cannot recommend them enough. We got great photos, a fun time, and made some amazing friends to last us a lifetime. -

My fiancee and I wanted to schedule an engagement photoshoot in the Cleveland area on a pretty short notice. Sam fit us into his schedule no problem and even had a list of locations ready that fit the vibe of the scenery we were looking for. On the day of the shoot, Sam was super friendly and affable. He put both of us at ease (neither of us were used to having our photos taken) and knew exactly which poses and backdrops would make the best shots. He even hauled his gear into the woods for a few shots I wanted on a specific trail. The pictures came back quickly, and look so great! Everyone we've shared them with has been super impressed and we can't wait to get them printed and use them for our invitations. We had a great experience from start to finish and the pricing was very fair - we would 100% work with Eighty Eight Photo again! -

We loved working with Sam at Eighty Eight Photo. He made sure we were well prepared for the wedding day and knew exactly what to do. He was able to offer advice on photo locations, timelines, and structure of the day. He and DJ were incredible to work with on the day of the wedding and they stayed for the entire day. They made a point to photograph all of the guests and were very thoughtful and adaptive as the day went on. We loved how easy and relaxed it was during the photo sessions and all of the photos turned out to be gorgeous. Sam is super responsive and worked to get us sneak peek pictures back within hours of the wedding's end! -

Honestly I can't say enough amazing things about Sam and his crew! We hired Eighty Eight Photography after having an amazing first meeting and realizing we just vibed so well together. Now while vibes can make or break, we have seen his work and we were very impressed. We booked Sam for our wedding and the process started, the meetings/discussions about expectations, wants/needs began. Our wedding day comes and Sam and everyone is on top of their game and I dont think we stopped laughing the whole day. He was very aware of making sure we got what we wanted but we let him take his own creative twist and he got us some amazing photos! I will recommend them for every Photography need ever! Sam at Eighty Eight has been amazing with us over this past year. At the end of this process, we feel more like friends and less like clients. No doubt Sam's got a bold personality but my husband and I are the talkative, "type A" kind of people who mesh well with personalities like his. Sam has been incredible with communication, organization, and has accommodated all my kit-picking. He has been so easy to work with and always made us feel super comfortable. Eighty Eight Photo was the most amazing photographer and we cannot recommend them loud enough! We were initially interested in them because we loved the editing style of their photos, and wanted that same vision in our own photos. When we first met with Sam and went over everything they had to offer at the studio, he actually asked about our story of how our relationship started and how we got to where we were. He was so welcoming and made it feel like we were talking to an old friend. The communication was excellent through the entire process. We did our engagement session through Eighty Eight Photo as well, and were blown away by the quality of our photos. We are both pretty awkward and have not had professional pictures done together, but Sam made it so easy and fun. He was joking around the whole time to make us laugh, and just making the whole experience that much better which made for some amazing photos. He got our engagement photos back to us much faster than expected which we were excited about. On the wedding day, we opted for two photographers, which were Sam and Dennis. They were both so easy to work with, and we really loved seeing how both of their visions worked together on the wedding day. We let them have full reigns on all of our poses and picture locations and did not say no to even the randomest requests, and we could not be more happy with how beautiful the pictures turned out because of it. Our photos were delivered to us only 17 days after the wedding, which was a huge surprise as we were promised 45-60 days. You can truly see the passion Sam has for photography and the dedication he has to his clients. Our photos were stunning and we could not be more happy with how they turned out. There was not a single bad experience with Eighty Eight Photo from any point in the process. If you pick any other photographer, you are truly missing out. -

Sam Comandatore at Eighty Eight Photo was the absolute perfect choice for our wedding! He was professional, good-tempered despite the extreme heat, and shot the most amazing photos at our venue, 1885 Farms!
Sam requested to move the sofa and vintage truck into the shade, which helped immensely with our comfort levels in our outdoor photos. He stayed light-hearted and fun at all times, and captured every important moment stunningly.

We cannot recommend Eighty Eighty Photography enough—choosing Sam and the team for our wedding was seriously the best decision we ever made! From start to finish, Sam Comandatore and his team were such a joy to get to know and work with. My new husband Zak and I live in Ireland (we grew up in the Midwest) and got married at the Metropolitan at the 9’s in Cleveland on June 7.
We actually didn’t even meet Sam in person until our wedding day, but thanks to our great conversations and planning via Zoom meetings beforehand, it really felt like we were already friends when we finally met. This made our whole wedding day so fun and easy! Sam makes every step of planning your wedding photography a breeze—his blog and website are so detailed and helpful, especially for us planning our wedding from an entire country away!
Sam and the team pour their hearts and care into ensuring each couple feels special, happy, and comfortable, and it truly shows. On our wedding day, Sam made everyone laugh and feel at ease with his engaging stories and wonderful sense of humor. Several family members even asked if Zak and I knew him personally because he blended in so seamlessly and made everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera.
And he’s so professional too! Zak and I were blown away by the team’s skill and dedication on our wedding day—they’re truly experts at their craft and pay so much attention to all the little details that make up each photo. I couldn’t be more thankful for how they took such great care of us and captured all the little moments of our wedding day with such finesse and care. Zak told me later that he didn’t even notice most of the time before the ceremony and reception when they were taking pictures or filming—they really do such a great job of capturing the day in a way that isn’t intrusive at all.
Sam and the team completely blew us away with every single picture. They got so many photos and previews back to us even within the day! We had never had our pictures professionally taken before, and when Sam showed us our first one, we were astounded by his ability to create such stunning photos of us. We loved Sam’s portfolio online and the unique and outstanding style his photos had, and the photos we got back met and exceeded the high bar that his portfolio presents. It was really cool seeing some of these incredibly creative shots starring us! All our guests have been non-stop saying how amazing our photographer was and how our wedding photos are the best they’ve ever seen!
And we got the photos back so fast. Like, I’m almost concerned for Sam with the turnaround time 😂. The dedication and commitment he took to our project CANNOT be understated.

Fantastic!
I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Sam and his team at Eighty-Eight Photo! We had a fantastic experience, from start to finish. First, Sam was one of the only vendors I worked with throughout the entire process of planning my wedding who consistently followed up with me, despite my occasional scatter-brain and lack of response because of the complete overwhelm of planning a wedding. He also answered all of my questions (and there were a lot) timely and thoroughly. It was also very important to me to find a photographer that I could trust, who was knowledgeable in their work and the Cleveland area. Sam constantly came back with fantastic suggestions when stuck on items such as places to take pictures with a 20+ person bridal party in the middle of winter in Ohio. If you have it in your budget, I would 100% recommend splurging on the second photographer. Sam and his team were able to capture all the important pictures while being able to play around with angles and use their creativity to capture some fantastic pictures I would have never been able to dream of! Sam also worked Additionally, we got our photos and videos back at record speed (getting married during off season definitely helped with this part) and he has continued working with my family since for printing and books. I will definitely be going back to Eighty-Eight for future family photo needs! -

Our experience with them was 10/10. From our initial communication to our first meeting, engagement pictures, week of meeting and wedding day, Sam and his team are top notch. Hiring Sam to photograph my wedding was probably the single best choice I could have made. Memorializing the day was very important to my husband and I and we searched long and hard for the right style and overall experience. Sam hit the target every single time. His portfolios stood out to us among the sea of studios and we could not have been happier with the outcome. My wedding photos are timeless, colorful, and full of joy. His 2nd photographer, Shawn was also excellent. The two of them kept everyone smiling all day.
I also appreciated the genuine effort Sam has made to get to know my husband and I. We had several planning meetings as well as an engagement shoot (which I highly recommend to help prep for the big day!) and it was so obvious Sam cared about every little detail.
I know as my family grows, I’ll be returning to Eighty Eight Photo for albums and Christmas cards for years to come. Thank you, Sam! -

We came across Eighty Eight Photos during one of the Today's Bride wedding shows at the IX-Center in January 2022. Let me tell you, hiring Eighty Eight Photos was absolutely the BEST decision my husband and I could have ever made to capture our wedding day experience. And if you’re in the process of looking for a photographer, I promise you, you won’t have to look any further! Let me share our experience!
Before we hired Eighty-Eight to capture our big day, we met with Sam, lead photographer, in person at his studio in Twinsburg, Ohio. We really appreciated that because it provided us an opportunity to connect with Sam, ask questions, and to see some of his previous work. From the moment we sat down on his couch, there was an instant connection! Sam was very professional. He had a list of questions on his screen that he asked us to ensure he understood our vision. We were also very grateful for this experience because Sam is so personable and funny! We had a really great time at his studio! I mean, we had such a great conversation that my husband and I were at his studio for over two hours! Sam took the time to filter our questions, set us at ease, and treated us as if we knew him for years. We are forever grateful!
After we hired Eighty-Eight to be our photographer, we were given a client portal to access our contract, quotes, and a detailed questionnaire to further explore the vision of our big day. The process was simple, easy to navigate, and it helped my husband and I get a true understanding of what we wanted. It didn’t just stop with a questionnaire though! About a month before our wedding, we met with Sam again at his studio to go over the timeline of the day (which he took time to create!) and expectations. I mean the man literally covered all bases to make us feel comfortable, confident, and peaceful going into our big day. We had ZERO STRESS about our media team and I’m telling you, it’s because Sam made things so simple!
We decided to go with the Platinum package, which included two photographers, FULL DAY COVERAGE, print release to edited photos, an online gallery AND USB drive, and a 12 x 8 Leather lay flat album! It was the best decision we could have ever made! Sam worked with me (the bride) and my ladies to capture us getting ready while Larry (the incredible second photographer) worked with my husband and his groomsman to capture them getting ready. It was truly the dream team! They both showed up early, in great spirits, ready to work! I was so impressed! They were engaged and made everyone feel at ease. Sam and Larry have a gift! And they certainly brought their gifts to our wedding day! Speaking of our wedding day, IT WAS AMAZING and we are SOOOO IMPRESSED with the turnout of our photos! It was everything we wanted and more! Sam and his team deserve more credit than I can even speak to. He was fantastic in planning, being available for questions and changes, absolutely amazing on the day of and still incredibly attentive and responsive after the wedding. Sam is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. On the wedding day I was stress free knowing our timeline was in his hands and I could trust him to capture our day and stay on time. While our day was nothing short of amazing, working with Sam and Kris from Eight-Eight Photo made it something we will not soon forget! Having Sam around was like having another family member around for our day, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way! He was always there to help with anything we needed, even if we didn’t realize we needed it. He also seemed to connect with all of our family and friends, leaving people complimenting him on how sweet and down to earth he was following our wedding! We recently used EightyEight Photo for our wedding in June 2021 and had the best experience! We originally spoke with several photographers to decide who was the best fit for us. Sam spent 45 minutes with us just getting to know us and telling us about himself, we felt like he really cared about making sure we had a great wedding day and loved our photos. From there things only got better. Sam was always incredibly responsive anytime we had questions. He also photographed our engagement photos which we were super nervous about. He made us feel super comfortable and made the whole process so easy. He spent a ton of time with us and got our photos back to us crazy fast, and of course we loved them all. He made our wedding day photos smooth and simple, there was no added stress surrounding photos, and we ended up with absolutely beautiful photos that captured us and our special day perfectly. We also used EightyEight for our videographer and had just as great an experience with that. Their whole team was so much fun to work with on our wedding day. They not only captured our ceremony and reception entirely, they also made us a beautiful 3 minute highlight video. This was so great because you don't always have time to watch hours of video when you just want to relive that special day, this highlight was a perfect glimpse into the whole day and was great to share with friends and family. We would absolutely recommend EightyEight, the high quality photos and service is totally worth every penny! -

Sam does a great job of balancing dark and moody photos with natural light photos. He was fun to work with, and wasn't afraid to let me know when I was posing awkwardly (which I greatly appreciate because I AM awkward). His assistant, Shawn, was also so genuine, talented, and fun! I especially appreciate Sam's patience during the pandemic (we had to change our date three times), and he always responded to my freak-out e-mails fast and thoroughly. Expectations Far Exceeded
Our expectations were high and they were far surpassed. Sam is extremely personable and he spent a lot of time with us to ensure he was prepared to capture the moments we were seeking, prepare the timeline, share his work and discuss venue options. Day of, he and Edric were timely and very fun to work with! Sam has a big personality and a knack for pulling out the right emotions from you when needed. The photos that both Sam/Edric captured are stunning. Honestly, jaw dropping. They have a unique way in which they play with light that I was not fully anticipating, but believe me it will blow you away. I haven't seen other wedding photos like it. They ensured that they captured everything we needed through the reception and they delivered on sharing the photos well ahead of schedule. By our view, the price point is well in line with industry standards, but the end product is well ahead of his peers. Sam and Edric were great to work with. Sam's ability to turn a business transaction into something so personal is refreshing. He was very helpful in lining up our wedding day schedule to maximize picture time. He did not pressure us into things we were not interested in which is hard to come by in the wedding business. EightyEight Photo is THE photographer
I thought searching for a photographer would be the most difficult part of my wedding planning. That was until I found EightyEight Photo.
I was wanting something very different from the soft rustic theme that is popular right now and Sam's pictures jumped off the page! They were beautifully artistic and what he does with light is so unique!
Once I booked our date and met with him at his Twinsburg office, I knew this was a great match. The day finally came after many changes due to the coronavirus (with which Sam was EXTREMELY helpful) and it was the BEST day! Sam and Kris, his second photographer, were an absolute dream to work with! It was like we had a couple of longtime friends going through our day with us, making us laugh, playing games to get cool shots, and making our day that much better. He even picked a photo to do up for us right away so we could have a taste of what was to come.
The rest of our photos came in a very timely fashion and they were GORGEOUS! The memories we wish we could relive over and over are perfectly preserved thanks to this company. I am so happy to have found EightyEight Photo! -

I first met Sam when he was the photographer in my best friend's wedding and instantly knew he was a cool guy - he has a great energy. Being a person you can spend an entire day with isn't just enough when it comes to your wedding day (but trust me, it helps!!), her photos turned out amazing. Fast forward 3 years, it was my turn. I didn't even consider another photographer for our wedding. Everything about the experience Sam and Kris provides is extremely professional, organized and he is willing to go above and beyond for his clients. We were out in the pouring down rain at the end of October -- so say, 50 degrees out, soaking wet - in my wedding dress because I'm insane -- but I have photos unlike any other to remember the day and importantly, we still had fun. I didn't have a lot of time (4 hours) due to how our wedding was constructed and the efficiency Sam had to ensure we took every shot on the wish list was exceptional. The response / production speed will exceed your expectations. There are less expensive options out there which sound great - but what you experience with EightyEight is going to be well worth every penny you spend with them.
