I couldn't imagine having anyone else shoot our wedding.

Shawna was AMAZING, she showed up and got right to work capturing all the important moments. She got some amazing photos of myself, my husband and our son that make me so happy when I look at them hung on our walls. I normally hate photos of myself, but not these, these make me feel so beautiful and confident- I'll never be able to thank her enough for her amazing work. I recommend her to everyone I know.

Beautiful Rockies wedding with a great photographer

Shawna loves to travel like we do so I was so happy that she flew from Houston to Colorado with us for our wedding. The day turned out beautiful and Shawna was great to work with the day and night of our wedding! She has a good eye for scoping out scenic spots to take photos and we love our photos as a result! She's also great at making you feel less awkward and more comfortable during the photo shoot!

Amazing Photographer and Videographer for Destination Wedding

Edoo Photography was recommended to us by a friend when we got engaged. We did amazing engagement shots near Austin, Texas with our two dogs. After creating that rapport with Shawna and Shamir during our engagement shoot, it was a no brainer to bring them with us on our destination wedding in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We were able to get great photos of our friends and family that whole weekend which we cherish. Talented at their craft as well as great individuals to work with.

Fantastic Photographer

Shawna was so easy to work, she really listened to what we wanted for our wedding and she really went above and beyond to deliver fantastic photographs with a very personal touch. She also took the most fantastic bridal portraits, that demonstrated her creativity and care in editing. This was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and would highly recommend her services!!

Shawna was the best photographer! Her services are reasonably priced and she is willing to work with you and your budget to make sure you get the best value. She did a great job of capturing both our wedding ceremony and reception.

Highly Recommend!

We loved working with Edoo Photography. After looking at their work on social media, we knew we would not be disappointed. On the day of our wedding Shawna and Shamir were amazing. On a day when you feel like you are running and being pulled in so many directions, Shawna and Shamir's warm and relaxed energy helped us to calm down and soak it all in. We are blown away with our wedding photos and videos and will treasure them for years to come!

Shawna was our very favorite out of all our wedding services

Shawna is one of the most professional, kind, artistic, and yet laid back people that we worked with. She always went the extra mile to get so many unique shots that you would never have imagined! Our bridal portraits were incredible, very different and wonderful. We will always treasure them! She followed every movement during our wedding, and made certain she stayed to get all the shots. I would highly recommend her to anyone! She really cares about you, and it shows. I have only the most positive feelings about her, her husband and their efforts. She is very easy to work with also. She didn't require a huge down payment and thick contract, just a simple common sense agreement to sign. We love Shawna!

Great Experience

Shawna and her husband are amazing! They did our wedding photos and wedding video. Our photos came out breathtaking. My husband and I get very self-conscious when getting our photo taken but Shawna is so good we never even noticed. She is very much a ninja. When I got the pictures back I didn’t even realize she took half of them. She is great at providing suggestions and remembering to get those important shots you want. She was the photographer for my brothers wedding in Houston and when I wanted her for our wedding she traveled to Dallas. She is so easy to work with and does excellent work. I highly recommend her!!

Wonderful to work with, beautiful product

We LOVED working with Shawna and Shamir! My husband and I don't love taking pictures, but Shawna made us feel really comfortable and made the experience so laid back. She took our engagements, my bridals, bridal shower, and the wedding day, and they were all flawless! Extremely easy to work with and amazing photos and video! Thank you for being a part of our big day!

AMAZING! I am so happy that I chose Edoo Photography for our wedding! Shawna is so sweet and professional! She was super responsive from the very beginning and made sure to figure out the style and type of photos that we liked! I seriously cannot stop looking at our pictures and we have had so many people compliment them! Shawna takes beautiful photos! Booking Shawna to capture my surprise proposal was one of the best decisions I made throughout the entire planning process! Shawna helped me capture a very complicated surprise proposal on the beach at sunset with fireworks. She was super easy to coordinate with. I thought her price was worth every penny. Most of all though, her pictures were incredible and we will enjoy them for a lifetime.

Shawna is such a sweetheart and she's very talented. When I was looking around for a photographer I didn't want to hire anyone who would just treat us like another job and she didn't. She was great meeting with and just so kind. My photos turned out perfect and she captured all the fun and happiness we had there. Edoo Photography was the first vendor that we booked for our wedding. It was the easiest and best decision that we could have made. I was lucky enough to book both Shawna and Shamir for 10 hours the day of the wedding. Shawna and Shamir made every effort to ensure that we were happy with our wedding photos. My husband and I planned our wedding from Illinois, and only went to Houston the week of the wedding. Edoo was quick to respond to any questions, concerns, or requests that we had. Our special memories of this special day were captured beautifully. I wasn't willing to risk booking a photographer that I didn't trust would do our day justice. The day of our wedding, rain interfered with some of the photo ops that I hoped for. Shawna was creative and comfortable with make suggestions and alternatives. I highly recommend Edoo Photography. My only regret is that my husband and I weren't in Houston to be able to do engagement photos. If you aren't willing to leave your precious photos to chance, be confident you've found your photographer with Edoo.

Shawna did such an amazing job with our wedding photos! We met several times before the big day to go over logistics, but what I was most impressed with was how genuinely enthusiastic she was about learning about my husband and I, and how she could do absolutely everything to make our wedding day memorable . Shawna was so professional the day of our wedding, she arrived early and set up her equipment and got straight to work. It was so wonderful to see all of the "behind the scenes" photos she took while I was busy getting ready. All of my guests told me (during the reception and after) what a great job she was doing- she has a highly trained eye to capture moments that flash by, she seemed to be everywhere at once with her camera! Her final edits of the photos were so wonderful- she did an amazing job in the way she put together our final photos. I really can't say enough about Shawna, everything she did was absolutely perfect and just what we needed from her- thank you again, Shawna!

Shawna and her team captured beautiful moments of our wedding. She goes above and beyond the traditional wedding photographer and creates real art with her shots. Some of our favorite photos from our wedding day have a unique focus that not many photographers would think to take. She is way more than a photographer, she is an artist. Her enthusiasm, friendliness, and laid-back nature makes her wonderful to work with. We felt completely comfortable during our engagement shoot, my bridal portraits, and during our wedding. She is unobtrusive, but yet is always there at the perfect time to capture those beautiful, fleeting moments that you want to remember forever. We treasure all our photos from Edoo Photography.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Shawna and Shamir were both INCREDIBLE - and are great together! These two really know what they're doing - especially when we didn't, they stepped up and helped us through our entire day (AND we had wedding planners who we thought would do that...). When I was losing my mind, Shawna became my zen!

Edoo is definintely worth much more than they charge and the quality of thier work is FLAWLESS. I wish I could give more stars than 5.

I found them on weddingwire.com and had our engagement photos, bridal portraits and wedding shot by them. The moment I spoke to Shawna, I knew she would be so easy to get along with and had to have her!

We had several guests comment on how great they were. They were discribed by more than 1 guest as 'ninjas' because they popped up anywhere someone was trying to take a picture on their phone and snagged a professional one too. You can really tell they love what they do and and they are so wonderful at it too!!!

We could not be happier with their service and highly recommend them to anyone who wants perfect pictures to capture their perfect day!!!

Where to begin on how wonderful Shawna and Shamir?! They were such a delightful talented couple to work with! We picked Edoo Photography because they are not good at one thing, they are good at EVERYTHING! I really enjoyed working with Shawna, she has a confidence and easy about her that I could immediately trust. Of course she did all the things one would expect: showed up on time, took amazing photographs and delivered the product in a timely fashion.

I was sure that I didn't want to have any "posed" photographs during our reception. Primarily, because I didn't want to be whisk away and miss visiting with all my loved ones. Somehow, Shawna was able to get plenty of photographs with us and various parts of all of our families that didn't take us away from our party. I am grateful that she captured all the right people at all the right times.

The team at Edoo photography was a delight to work with. I cannot adequately describe how much their attitude and responsiveness helped ease my stress during the preparation period. Shawna's enthusiasm and love for what she does is infectious. It makes such a difference to work with people who love what they do, especially for such an important event. It's just icing on the cake that she is a fantastic photographer to boot!

They did such a great job with our photos that almost 2 years later, people still comment on how great they are. The time and care they put into every bit of communication was really impressive and so thoughtful.

I would highly recommend Edoo photography (and have!).

Shawna and Edoo Photography (her husband is her assistant) are incredible to work with. She is so flexible and easy going. My husband and I were extremely comfortable working with her.
She is always prompt with replies to emails. She even got us 40 preview photos two days after the wedding! I can't wait to see the rest of them. I highly recommend Shawna. We will definitely be using her for future photography needs.

Shawna and Edoo photography are amazing! Shawna is professional and warm and easy to get comfortable around, so taking pictures becomes more comfortable also. She is responsive and flexible also. Shawna took the time to meet with my husband and I in person after we had booked electronically so we could get a chance to meet in person and get comfortable and get questions answered. I gave her a list of shots we wanted and she got almost all of them (timing became an issue so we ended up skipping some - not her fault at all, she was ON IT!) She took some amazing shots!! I have only seen some preview shots so far but can't wait to see the rest when they are all done and ready. Her prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. I'm so glad I booked with her and plan to maintain the relationship so we can use Edoo Photography for future life events and photography sessions. Totally recommend her!!!!

I got married on 12/21/13 and used Shawna and her husband as my photographers. They were awesome!! Not only did they go out of their way to make it a wonderful experience and to get great shots, but they were also very awesome people in general. They made it a very fun experience! They were on time and met us with smiles on their faces! Only a few days after the wedding, Shawna already had several previews ready for us to view, which was perfect because I wanted to see pictures so badly! The quality of the pictures was great, and she captured perfect moments from the night. Oh, and did I mention the pricing was spectacular?! Shawna was so flexible and willing to work with us based on our budget. I would HIGHLY recommend her and her husband to anyone looking for a fantastic wedding photographer!!!!

Like other brides have mentioned, it would be impossible for me to put into words how thankful we were to Shawna and her husband that we hired her as our wedding photographer. She was amazing from start to finish and we have LOVED working with her. She even got my husband, who hates pictures, to smile and enjoy all the shoots!!! It would be impossible for me to put into words how thankful I am to have met Shawna and hired her as my wedding photographer - but I will try! A review doesn't do her work justice. Just take a look at her work and you'll be convinced she's not just a photographer, she's an artist!

She took my engagement photos, bridal and boudoir portraits, and wedding pictures. My now-husband and I were completely comfortable working with her; she really made the sessions FUN. She went above and beyond expectations every time: even sending the disc of our 1500+ engagement pictures in a hand-made case wrapped in burlap with a sweet verse on the outside. It's details like that which let you know you're working with someone who is passionate about what they do. What more could you ask for??

By the time I got her edits of the wedding photos back, I'd been missing my wedding so much. I wanted to do it all over again, which of course is impossible, but her work allowed me to "re-live" everything :) I've literally laughed out loud and teared up looking through the pictures! I can't wait to look through them with our family at Thanksgiving and print Christmas cards with them and create photo canvases and and... !! :) She uses so many different filters in edit and creates literally thousands of options, that you really can do SO much with the photos she takes. And the best part is that the images she captured fit exactly with how I want to remember it. I don't feel like anything was missed and she captured the best, most beautiful version of my wedding.

Beyond all that, Shawna is really an awesome person. She's creative and funny. And after seeing the photos, a bridesmaid remarked at how surprised she was at all the things that we had photos of since Shawna was like a fly on the wall - we didn't even notice how much she was around!

This was by far the best investment of my wedding.

Shawna was absolutely amazing! Everything was just as I envisioned. The most stressful part of wedding planning for me was finding the perfect photographer and I truly found that in Shawna. She is very personable, patient, and flexible. I knew exactly how I wanted my bridal portraits to look but had a tough time deciding on a location. With Shawna's suggestion they turned out wonderfully! I didn't even recognize myself in some of them, she directed me into poses I've only seen in a magazine.
Wedding day went just as well. Shawna and her husband arrived promptly and went straight to work. After politely greeting my bridal party of course. All the guests were impressed and gave continued compliments toward their professionalism. Looking back at my photos reminds me of all the sincere emotion that was shared and that was exactly what I wanted. I will absolutely use Shawna again for my photography needs in the future! :)

I can not speak highly enough of Shawna and Edoo Photography. My (now) husband and I searched long and hard for a good wedding photographer - he is SUPER picky about photography *and* we were on a budget, so it's difficult to find someone that would work for both requirements. I'm so glad I found Shawna through these WeddingWire reviews, and I thought it might be too good to be true. However, once I contacted her she was very nice and responsive, and willing to work with our budget. She was laid back about splitting the hours in the package we got over two days for our multi-event wedding. My husband and I are both typically unphotogenic and pretty awkward in pics, but Shawna directed us so we looked natural and awesome in our portraits. I love her candid pictures and the family portraits as well. We received all the photos very quickly considering how we got married during the busy holiday season in December. For any South Asians out there, I can also say that she did a great job of directing the multitudes of family/friends/aunties/uncles who aren't exactly known for standing in lines and waiting their turns for pictures on stage, lol. She was so great that my sister in law has now booked Edoo Photography for her upcoming wedding.

I really could not have hoped for better photos or better photographers. Shawna and Shamir photographed our New Orleans wedding in in March of '13.

The booking was easy and Shawna was very responsive to all of our questions and obviously willing to work with us, our budget and our needs.
They have a wonderful, soft photo-journalistic quality to their photography and they are expert at running-but-not-running the show. They are comfortable to be around, responsive to suggestions and are extremely talented and really nice people. Many of our wedding guests remarked on how great the photographers were. :-)

The final photos were beautifully packaged and sent to us. It was worth every penny that we spent and then some.

Best part of my wedding... being able to re-live it everytime I look about my amazing pictures! I actually found Shawna on craigslist. I contacted her regarding pricing and we were highly impressed. I seriously contacted her about 4 times with questions and changes before we signed a contract with her and she never once seem bothered! She was very helpful each time. The day of my bridal portaits a storm rolled in around 6pm when we were suppose to meet. She was incrediable, we waited it out and met downtown an hour later. We didn't let the rain stop us as we took pictures that evening. They are priceless! The day of our wedding she had so many great ideas. Her and her husband both were there taking pictures. I had more guests compliment them through out the evening. She took over 2500 pictures and I LOVE ABSOLUTELY EVERY PICTURE! Edoo photography was the best vendor I picked out of my entire wedding. Shawna was the best photographer a bride could ask for. I always had to call her last minute to make my appointments to meet her for my engagement and bridal portraits and she always found time to accomodate me, she even drove all the way out to Needville, where I live, and took additional engagement pictures with our goat, sheep, and 3 dogs which all turned out fantastic! The day of my wedding, my suite was overflowing with bridesmaids and Shawna came right in got my dress and started taking pictures of everything and everyone. She captured so many great moments of my girls and I. Her husband, Shamir, was with my husband in his suite and we couldn't have asked for a better guy to capture my husband and our friends while they got ready. This duo team was the best! Shawna was a plesure to be around and made our photoshoots very comfortable. She took my boudoir, our engagements and wedding photos for a very resonable price! Edoo Photography was my best vendor of all!! Both photographers arrived 2 hours before the ceremony started so they really captured every moment beginning to end as they did not leave until the reception was over. Shawna is incredibly sweet and kind person. We instantly felt comfortable and by the end of the night I felt we were friends.

Once, I received my photos I was able to re-live every single moment. The photographers did not miss a thing! So many of the pictures brought tears to my eyes because they were absolutely amazing.

Above just being amazing photographers that provide beautiful pictures they are so reasonable in price and you get all your pictures without copyright.

Hands down the best money spent!!!

OMG I freaking love her!!! She is and was by far my Favorite wedding vendor. She worked with our extremely limited budget and gave us 5 star service! She came at 1pm the wedding didn't start til 3pm and didn't leave until the last person left. She was extremely helpful beyond imagine and very patient with our crazy wild family. She was always there taking pictures of moments you wouldn't even think off.

Shawna is the bomb!!! She is my Favorite wedding vendor. She works with you budget wise, takes great pictures, and is extremely helpful! She asked me if there was anything I needed help with when i was getting dressed the day of the wedding. TOTALLY LOVE HER!! GIVE HER A TRY!!

Shawna is awesome. She was with me from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on the day of our wedding. She has excellent pricing and flexibility. She takes a lot of pictures and gives you the copy right to the pics. She will help you get ready with your dress if needed.

My then fiance (and now husband) and I researched and looked at different wedding photographers for a long time before we found Shawna Edoo with Edoo Photography. We wanted the right feel and personality similar to ours and our wedding. I had a good feeling when first emailed Shawna for more information regarding their services. My good feeling was confirmed because the very next day, Shawna sent me a very informative email regarding their services and pricing. She also took the time to research my venue and brought several ideas to the table right from the beginning. Shawna was able to work with us on pricing since we were on a low-budget wedding (well under $10k). After signing a contract, we spoke several times leading up to the wedding and I sent her photos and ideas of pictures we really liked. She made them happen for us. The photography was one thing I did not have to worry about! Shawna and her husband both photographed our wedding and I can't say enough how good the photos came out. She truly captured all of the special moments of such a beautiful day for myself and my husband. Looking back on the wedding, their photos truly captured such a special and blessed day! The very next day when we were traveling for our honeymoon, I received an email from Shawna with some "Preview" photos which were truly amazing! We received our photos within the agreed time frame and there were so many photos. Additionally, we asked for re-edits and Shawna re-editing all of the requested photos in a timely manner. We loved everything about our wedding and having such a great photography team made the day go so much smoother. I would highly recommend using Edoo Photography for your next event (be it wedding, portraits, etc.). They truly captured such an amazing day in our lives!

I had Shawna as my wedding photographer just this past month! I had been looking around for photographers in the Houston, TX area and I came across her. Since the moment we met we really hit it off! Her sweet spirit and flexibility is just awesome! She was willing to work with me every step of the way! Her style is very unique! I truly enjoyed having her on such an important day! I would definitely recommend Shawna! I look forward to having her capture many more special moments ahead!

Amazing job!

We really enjoyed working Shawna - she took our engagement pictures as well as wedding day pics and on that day she HUSTLED. She got all the shots we wanted plus so many more candid ones. Se was super flexible and just went with the flow. We had so many comments from guests about how great and fun the photographer was - definitely didn't expect that! She was the perfect balance of blending in but also part of the party. Her prices are very reasonable and we got a great value from her pics. We couldn't recommend her enough!

If you are looking for crisp, quality images, with the perfect tone and lighting to make your wedding look ethereal and like a fantasy, Shawna is your gal. She certainly knows what she is doing behind the camera and you will be so happy to have her as your photographer.

Shawna @ Edoo Photography was extremely wonderful to my husband and I during the entire process. The pictures were beautiful and she returned them pretty quickly after the wedding. We got married on the beach and she made the most out of a simple wedding. My complaint would be the editing of the pictures. Unfortunately, there were one or two people who were playing on the beach in a few pics that could have been edited out of the background, but it is something that I'm positive she would fix. Also, I would have liked more pictures of my guests since there were only 3 out of 1300 of my husband's uncle. So my advice to future brides is: Let your photographer know beforehand what you would like pictures of. In general, it was a great experience and I would definitely use Edoo Photography again for other events!

Summary: I have hundreds of wedding pictures, on time and on budget, but the quality is less than wonderful.
Expounded: Shawna is a wonderful and personable. She was very willing to work within my budget. However, in hindsight, I wish I had known some things. My husband is very tall. Our entire decorating scheme was designed so his head wouldn't be "cut off" in the background. I felt that I was very clear about this with Shawna, but in all of our pictures, there's line going straight behind his head. Also, while the quantity of her shots was enormous, the quality was lacking. In most of my pictures there is something else that distracts, like a cardboard box or an awkward hand position. Those were the kind of things I expected my photographer to notice and fix. This issue even occurred during our engagement session. Her husband should have been an assistant to help with those little details instead of being an additional photographer. The only time two photographers was needed was during the First Look to catch both expressions.
