Where to begin, the EARLY MOUNTAIN team knows how to create unforgettable evenings. Both my husband and I were blown away by the final look of our reception room. My family was shocked that the lawn wasn’t wet even after it rained one hour prior to our ceremony. My mom can’t stop talking about how attentive Sara’s team was at any given point of the night and THE FOOD. Are you kidding me? I swear it tasted 40% better than it did during tasting, it was terrific. 3/4 guests told us how it was the best food they’ve ever had a wedding—we go to weddings all the time and WE DEFINITELY AGREED. Our guests with accommodations were so impressed by the team knowing exactly who they were and remembering if they were vegan, children or simply could not eat fish. It was a beautiful team work.

I personally felt really stressed to meet everyone’s expectations on this day no matter how much fun I was having. However, I truly appreciated that every time we looked Sara’s way, she had the kindest, warmest—most understanding smile. It took a lot of the pressure off. The same could be said about her team and how kind, thoughtful and understanding they were the whole day—I only remember Josh’s name please send him and everyone else our kindest regards. We truly could not have picked a better place, I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to have worked with all of you. Thank you so much for putting up with us and for making our day feel so incredibly special.

EMV was the absolute perfect place for our wedding. We can't say enough good things about Sara and the team. Not only is the venue stunning -- the ceremony lawn, with its purple tones and mountain views, omg -- but the team is professional, polished, and work incredibly behind the scenes to make every detail on-point. The on-site catering is fantastic - our guests came up to us and told us it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. The wine is fantastic as well. Sara and her team had flawless attention to detail and solved anything that came up on the fly, from helping to bustle my dress to making sure that our personalized bar sign made its way from cocktail hour to the reception hall.

My husband and I and live in California, but my husband grew up in Virginia. I always knew I wanted a destination wedding so we started to look for the right venue with budget in mind. I emailed probably around 50 venues until we found Early Mountain. After speaking with Melissa over email, then phone we decided to lock it down! We picked Early Mountain based on photos we saw online, being budget friendly and that it came with a day of Coordinator. ALL SITE UNSEEN. We didn't see our venue until a few months out when we flew in to do our tasting. To say the least, we were speechless. The entire Vineyard was a dream from the outdoor area to the ballroom, the tasting room, the bridal sweet/cottage you get to stay in!! It was all honestly so perfect. I would 100% recommend having your wedding at early mountain and having Melissa by our side put all my nerves at ease. She really went above and beyond and accommodated all our requests. I could not be happier and I constantly think about how much I loved my wedding venue after I go wedding to wedding. If you want something Romantic- there is honestly no where else to look. It is a bit remote but that's what makes it so special. We made a weekend out of our wedding and had a Welcome Pool Party at a VRBO, then our Rehearsal Dinner in town and our wedding here. Again, I honestly can't push this place enough- for what you get for the price you pay is beyond worth it! Thank you to Early Mountain and their amazing team and our amazing coordinator Melissa Rice! Thank you for putting together the wedding of our dreams!

Soon after our engagement, we searched for a venue that would showcase the beauty of Virginia mountains coupled with excellent food and wine. We saw vineyard after vineyard, and absolutely fell in love with the entirety of Early Mountain Vineyards. An absolutely beautiful tasting room and event hall, with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge, you can't beat this space.

In addition to the lovely space, the events team at EMV are exceptionally talented in executing all the details of event coordination, the vineyard catering team offers a dinner service that our guests were ultra impressed with, and the wines are the absolute best in Virginia. 100% recommend this amazing venue!!

Sara and the EMV team could not have been more wonderful to work with. I started talking with them in august 2019, chose the venue in September 2019 and then had to postpone my wedding due to the pandemic. Sara made the whole process so easy, and was so graceful, kind and thoughtful in all of our interactions. She went above and beyond in every aspect, far surpassing my expectations to ensure my husband and I had a great day. We also became wine club members and went to the venue often and always had great interactions with the staff. They are all genuinely helpful and kind. The venue itself is beautiful, and made for the most dreamy winter wedding. The wine is spectacular. The food is top notch and delicious. The cottage next door makes getting ready/ the night of so easy and convenient. It has ample space and everything you could need! I could not have been happier with my experience at EMV!

Choosing early mountain for our wedding venue was by far the best decision we made. We didn’t know of the vineyard prior to looking at venues and it has easily become our favorite spot. The wine is so smooth (and I’m not a wine drinker). The food is mind blowing. The service is beyond- I mean everyone is so genuinely nice AND they do synchronized service for dinner- what more can you ask for?? The venue is just gorgeous without decor and stunning with decor. They have fireplaces- I mean….. talk about a gorgeous addition to an intimate wedding ceremony and reception. You and your newly official boo get to stay at the cutest cottage right next to the venue night of as part of the venue deal- so goodbye worrying about where you will stay and hello to a beautiful sunrise on the mountains! And don’t even get me started on the day of coordinator that you get to work with when you book… Melissa made our day so easy and wonderful. I can brag for days about her alone. Seriously. I did not have to worry about a thing on my big day. Nothing at all. I couldn’t even tell you if something went wrong because it was never brought to my attention- it was handled and the night carried on. I always thought you had to pay BIG bucks to have a wedding planner to get that type of attention to detail and flawless flow throughout the day. Nope- it’s included!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could do it all over I would in a heart beat because it was an absolute dream. Also, do not forget to ask about a late night snack option too- I still think of those warm truffle fries after the night was over with. I’m not saying that the fries were the best part of the night…. getting married was… but they were a solid second 😉 A massive thank you to the entire early mountain team for making everything perfect.

Early Mountain is such a dream. We just got married there on 10/22/2021 utilizing the petite wedding package, and it could not have gone more smoothly or beautifully. The ceremony spaces, tasting room, event hall, and the getting ready spaces are stunning and the staff are both professional and personable. I could not imagine having a more perfect day - my grandmother even said she felt like she was in a Hollywood movie. Sara was really the mastermind behind it all, and I am so thankful she was both our venue manager and our day-of coordinator. Thank you, Sara!

We just had our wedding at Early Mountain and the day could not have been more perfect! It has a gorgeous ceremony lawn (and the event hall is a great back-up if it rains - which fortunately it didn't for us but was really important for me to have a back up!), beautiful tasting room for cocktails, and the reception space looks like something out of Game of Thrones - just stunning! Sara was wonderful to work with, even in an incredibly busy season! Oh and the wine? Yum! Love this venue. Our guests were in awe.

Early Mountain Vineyard was so incredibly helpful and flexible when it came to changing our overall vision and timing for our wedding. Sara was so kind and friendly in helping adjust wine orders, furniture arrangements, and everything in between to make sure we had an awesome experience!

Early Mountain was the perfect place for us to have our wedding. Melissa and the team made our dreams come true, even in the middle of a pandemic. Melissa was organized and helped us to decide exactly how we wanted our day to go! Even with rain all day, it was perfect! The food, drinks, and atmosphere were above and beyond.

We had such a wonderful experience using Early Mountain for our wedding venue! We worked mainly with Sara (a little with Melissa as well) and I can't say enough great things! The venue is absolutely beautiful, Sara was responsive and amazing to work with and everything turned out beautifully. Thank you for helping to make our wedding absolutely incredible.

Early Mountain Vineyards was the perfect spot for our intimate microwedding! The surrounding area makes for a stunning backdrop, and all the staff were so accommodating, upbeat, and professional during our reception. Food is incredibly important for us, so finding a vineyard with convenient/high-quality in-house catering was a major factor, and all our guests were raving about the dinner. We also found the on-site cottage very spacious and cute. Overall, we were thrilled with our decision to go with EMV!

Early Mountain Vineyards was the perfect spot to cast my vision for my winter wedding. The fireplaces in both the banquet hall and the tasting room created the romantic winter feel I wanted. The staff was so easy to work with from wine tastings, flipping the room for the reception, and working with my team of vendors. The groomsmen room and cottage were idyllic and perfect for getting ready. You truly cannot go wrong with this beautiful place both inside and out .

Picking EMV as our wedding venue was a no brainer. We came to EMV early on in our relationship and then Chris proposed here...so of course it had a special place in our hearts already! The venue is gorgeous to begin with...but then layer in the decor, florals, staff, service, wine, and THE FIREPLACES, and I can’t even begin to explain how this already amazing space truly transforms. The entire staff make it super easy to plan, coordinate, add, remove, really anything you need for your big day to be a success—starting with the preferred vendor packet they give you when you book them. This was the first place I started looking for vendors, having not used a wedding planner, and it was so helpful leading the way—especially since I live in DC and did not know any vendors in the Charlottesville area. You get a lot for your $$ here, with the venue providing a lot of the chairs, tables, decor, and general ambiance. Caterer has to be through their preferred list (but you have a good range of options and price points) and they do require a day of coordinator (we did this through the caterer and wasn’t an issue) and the wine has to be from EMV (duh!). Sara and team EMV—thank you for making our day so special and memorable—we cannot give you enough praise!!! Oh, and you 100% have to book the honeymoon cottage for as long as you can—pictures do not do it justice for how quaint, romantic, beautiful, PERFECT that little space is.

Early Mountain Vineyards (EMV) was the first venue I looked at and I knew from that moment it was perfect! We had a small (75 person) wedding, but it had so much space that it did not feel empty, but could easily accommodate more. The food- AMAZING. The wine- AMAZING. The service from EMV- AMAZING. Their new chef is phenomenal and many of our friends and family complimented us on the service, wine, delicious food, and all around great experience. Our coordinator through the EMV, Sara, was a GODSEND (someone give that woman a Christmas bonus!). She was always responsive, always helpful, always kind- she made me feel like I was a friend she was helping, not a client. The modern amenities like the elevator made my grandparents happy and the ease of the entire weekend from staying on the property, to our rehearsal, to the wedding, made me a happy bride. There was never a moment I worried or had to stress. Even without a wedding planner, Sara and the EMV team made my wedding a dream. I can't recommend them more!

Early Mountain Vineyards is an absolutely beautiful place to have a wedding at! We had our wedding here in Sept 2019 and guests are still raving about how stunningly gorgeous everything was - from the outdoor space where we had our ceremony in to the tasting room and terrace where we had our cocktail hour in to the Grand Hall where we had our reception in. There is also a bridal cottage that is PERFECT for getting ready (there are 3 bathrooms!) with one's bridesmaids and the couple gets to spend the night there on the wedding night.

Furthermore, the staff at Early Mountain are so great and easy to work with. We are SO happy that we had our wedding here!

From our first email inquiry to the wedding day and even after, we only have positive things to say about our experiences at EMV. The people were responsive, patient with questions, and lovely to communicate with (we worked with Abigail Schwab a lot, and adored her). Wine was delicious - plenty of options (rose was a personal fave). Agree with others- join the wine club for discounted cases; it was also fun to receive wine in the mail leading up to the wedding! Venue was a no-brainer...I've always loved EMV, but then I learned that they provide so much, which made our lives easier. It's also gorgeous, with options for inside and outside. Love the tasting room, verandas, ballroom with fireplaces, painted white brick, exposed ceiling beams... a truly romantic space. I got ready in the cottage (it was much bigger than I had originally pictured) and we stayed there the night-of; beautiful, quiet space -- loved being able to stay here. It also made it easy to visit the venue the next morning, see if we left anything there, and grab flowers. :) My only concern had been the distance from Cville where our guests were staying, but it was a non-issue. We arranged transportation for everyone; it's a straight-shot and easy. AND out guests raved about the venue! We felt the cost of the venue was really reasonable for what you get. In sum, EMV was everything we hoped it would be and more. It was the easiest wedding-related decision we had to make. We are incredibly grateful and glad that we had our wedding there. It was the happiest day of our lives; THANK YOU to everyone at EMV who contributed to the ease and joy of the day.

Early Mountain Vineyard was the first venue we toured and we knew right away it was the perfect fit for us. Virginia is full of beautiful vineyards but Early Mountain is the only venue that is just as beautiful inside as it is outside. It was so wonderful to not have to stress about the weather. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the wine is delicious and the cottage on the property is the cherry on top of this perfect venue. The chairs and lanterns that came with the venue rental saved us a lot of money on decor and centerpieces! My advice would be to make sure that you join their wine club before your wedding to get a discount on the wine. We ended up having to buy more wine than expected because even our non-wine drinkers were loving it!

Early Mountain Vineyards puts together a wonderful experience for the bride and groom and their guests. They worked closely with our other vendors to make our day magical! The tasting room and the ball room are simply breathtaking! They were very accommodating to all our needs and very quick to respond to emails and phone calls during the planning process! We loved working with them!

We knew almost immediately that Early Mountain was the right venue for us. The beautiful building is reminiscent of a castle and the grounds provide a beautiful mountain backdrop. We wanted to have an outdoor ceremony but also wanted to make sure we had a good indoor alternative in case of rain and the ballroom is a stunning room. We're so glad we kept this in mind because it poured on our wedding day but the ballroom was such a beautiful and romantic ceremony setting that it didn't put a damper on the day. Early Mountain was the perfect choice for our fairy tale wedding and we highly recommend it!

I cannot imagine a more perfect wedding venue than Early Mountain. From the first visit, to the wine tasting and final walk through, to everything the day of, the staff was so professional, responsive, and easy to work with. And the space is absolutely stunning. Our day was absolutely perfect - in large part to our pick of an absolutely flawless venue. The only thing I would warn you about is that their wine is somewhat pricey. However, we had no qualms about spending a lot of money on food and drink so it was not a big issue to us. If you want a beautiful venue that fits every need on your day - Early Mountain is where you should go. I am so glad we chose the as our wedding venue and can't wait to visit the beautiful tasting room in the future.

We had our wedding at Early Mountain on Friday, June 29th 2018. Although we got married just recently, Early Mountain has been wonderful from Day 1, over one year ago. From the time we visited this *potential* venue, Early Mountain's staff and wedding coordinators were extremely helpful in planning and coordinating our big day and thoroughly answering the many questions we had when selecting our wedding locations. We couldn't be happier with Abby and Sara's extensive help throughout the whole process. I truly never waited more than 12 hours (and for the most part, less than that) for a response to my questions or comments regarding our event.
As far as location, you really couldn't select a more beautiful site to host your guests, especially if they're coming from out of town, as the majority of our guests were. The location in itself is absolutely stunning, and gave guests a lot to talk about throughout the night and beyond. Then, the venue itself is dreamlike, and decorations only enhanced an already breathtaking site.
Our experience with wine tasting to select our EMV wines was exquisite. Sara had a beautiful layout upon arrival, and I would say one of our most difficult decisions was selecting from their array of delicious wines. We ended up with 5 distinct selections, and everyone raved about how wonderful they were.
I really could go on and on about how perfect our EMV event was. We cannot wait to visit as frequent patrons of the vineyard and to reminisce about our most perfect day there, with stunning views, friendly and prompt service, and exquisite wines. Thank you Early Mountain!

Early Mountain Vineyards is a gorgeous location for a wedding. We had a wedding 50 people and they provided catering. Our guests keep sending us compliments of the food!

Sara and Abby were extremely considerate of our needs and customised much of the wedding to us. They are a great team to work with which is important on your big day.

I can’t reccomend the venue, the food and the team at EMV enough. It was the best day ever at one of the best vineyards in Virginia.

We got married in March 2018 at EMV and LOVED it. It was the perfect venue for us. The staff was incredible, easy to work with, and very responsive. If you are looking for an indoor wedding venue they have the most beautiful one in Virginia! They were accommodating, professional, and helpful. I highly recommend this venue!

Our wedding at Early Mountain was wonderful. Aside from the beautiful venue and countryside, Early Mountain delivered on all of the practical things we wanted: a nice place on-site for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready (the bridal cottage), an equally nice place for the groom and groomsmen to prepare, and a seamless rain plan. It rained on our wedding day so we had the ceremony inside, and the setup was really beautiful. Throughout our planning process, the staff were very helpful, responsive and professional. The only challenge we encountered was transportation; Early Mountain is a good 45-minute drive from Charlottesville (longer on a bus), so our guests who stayed in Charlottesville had a pretty long shuttle ride each way. If you want to have room blocks in Charlottesville, that's something to consider. We also blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Ruckersville, which is 20 minutes away and very nice. That's the option I would recommend to other couples.

Early Mountain is one of the most beautiful venues in VA. It was the only venue we looked at and we booked the next day. We loved the flexibility of choosing whether you want an indoor or outdoor ceremony and being able to change it at any time because you have the entire venue to yourself (they only do one wedding a day). This allowed us to monitor the weather and make a decision whenever we felt comfortable. We chose inside because we fell head over heels in love with the room (the stone floors, wooden mantles and medieval-esque light fixtures felt super romantic and kind of Game of Thrones in a good way). We also knew the vines wouldn't be ripe and the flowers probably wouldn't be in bloom in April (they weren't), so that helped make our decision as well.
We lucked out because even though we chose to have our ceremony indoors, our cocktail hour opened up to a patio area overlooking the rolling hills, which let guests mingle outside and get the vineyard experience. Spring weather can be hit or miss, but we got sun and 68 degrees, and it was pure magic (the sunset was incredible).
We worked with Taylor and Sara, who were both very quick to respond to our emails and answer questions about the venue, the weather, billing, etc.
Another huge plus: We had the option of staying the night in the on-site cottage (where the bride gets ready pre-wedding), which we decided to do (it was included in the cost of the venue). SO glad we did! We woke up to sounds of birds chirping and sun shining on the vineyard. The decor is beautiful and it's the perfect place to spend your first night as husband and wife.
We had the wedding of our dreams at Early Mountain and would do it again in a heartbeat!

I cannot say enough about this venue! First of all, it is absolutely gorgeous... but the whole team was SO great all the way through with the planning process. They went out of their way countless times to not only make our day feel special, but they also made us feel at home everytime we came to visit. I would highly recommend them to anybody!

Working with Early Mountain was fantastic, simple, and worth every single penny. From booking to the planning process and through our wedding day, the staff at EMV was kind, responsive, and helpful. We worked with Taylor and she was fantastic. She answered all my random emails throughout our year of planning and was always available when we needed her or asked for her opinion. Beyond the amazing staff, EMV is a gorgeous venue. The rolling hills with views of the mountains in background make outdoor ceremonies a dream and inside, the existing decor is exquisite! The giant fireplaces, warm stone walls, and big draped windows are amazing. We are SO very happy that we chose Early Mountain Vineyard to host our wedding and can't wait to go back for a fun day at the vineyard!

I absolutely LOVE Early Mountain Vineyards. We just got married there and I couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff was so responsive over email and answered any and all questions I had throughout the whole process. I was able to stay in the bridal cottage starting at 12 pm the Friday before my wedding which made everything so much easier. the cottage is great and the perfect space to get ready with your bridesmaids (including THREE bathrooms!).

We had a chance of rain on our wedding day but I wasn't even worried because EMV has such a great indoor space. In fact, that is one of the main reasons why we chose it. It is a gorgeous vineyard and all of our guests were raving about how beautiful the space was. We ended up having our ceremony and cocktail hour inside and it worked out perfectly. They have a huge kitchen for any catering company and most importantly, their wine is delicious! One of my guests even said "I don't usually like VA wine, but this is really good!"

I can't say enough good things about EMV. I am so so happy we chose to have our wedding there, it was perfect. If you are looking for a vineyard setting, it is definitely the best option in Charlottesville.

Early Mountain was the perfect venue for our wedding! The landscape is absolutely beautiful--the mountain backdrop, rolling hills, grape vines and beautiful landscaping. The EMV team was incredibly easy to work with and extremely accommodating from the moment that we first stepped into the tasting room. The interior event space was just as beautiful as the exterior, as it provided a great backdrop for us to be able to design our ideal layout. An added bonus to the venue was the fact that it had an easy yet still beautiful backup plan in place in case of inclement weather that wouldn't cost extra.

I can't possibly describe how happy my husband I were that we came across EMV during our search for venues.

Early Mountain was the only venue we visited - I fell in love with it when I saw it online and seeing it in person sealed the deal. It was perfect for us. We wanted to get married near the mountains, but within a reasonable distance to Northern VA where we live. The vineyard itself is stunning. Since we got married in April, we needed a venue that had a great indoor option in case of rain - the Event Hall at Early Mountain is exactly that. The combination of the medieval chandeliers, candlelight, and roaring fires (at any time of year) create such an amazing ambiance. We rented out the Tasting Room, which was great to have for the cocktail hour as well as a space for guests to sit and chat during the reception away from the music. The bridal cottage is also incredible - every last detail is perfectly done. It was such a lovely and relaxing space to get ready in with my bridesmaids on the day and my husband and I loved being able to go back to it that night. They even did a clean of the place, so you couldn't tell that 7 women had spent the day there! The guys got dressed in the lounge, which we later used as the kids' room. We put on a movie and had some games for them - they loved it as a break from the dancing!

The staff was a pleasure to work throughout the whole process. They were professional, approachable, and so helpful with all of my questions. We had a great experience working with Maggie and Nicolette. We saw Delores a couple of times too and she was wonderful as well, so it seems like you can't go wrong!

I really don't know what else to say - everything was perfect. The day was like a fairytale, full of warmth and love. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was we cannot agree more :-) We're members of the wine club now (if you join before the wedding, you get %15 off your wedding wine!) and we plan on taking frequent trips back to enjoy the wines and views.

Early Mountain was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. Not only is the place beautiful, but Delores and the rest of the staff were wonderful to work with.

I can honestly say it was love at first sight when my fiancé and I visited Early Mountain VIneyard (EMV)! It was the first venue we looked at after getting engaged and, while we toured many other potential options in the Charlottesville, VA area, nothing came close to EMV. We were immediately blown away during our initial visit, beginning with the gorgeous tasting room when you walk in, followed by the breathtaking wedding event spaces. We wanted to get married in March and weather can be unpredictable, so our venue needed to have space to host the ceremony and reception indoors and the Event Hall at EMV was perfect for both. It actually snowed the Thursday before our wedding, and it didn't matter at all! There was ample space to host our 115 guests (majority of which traveled from South Florida) in a cozy, beautiful atmosphere that everyone absolutely LOVED! Some of our engaged friends actually told us they had “venue envy” after seeing EMV for the first time! And, access to the Bridal Cottage and Lounge/Library made our day that much better as the entire bridal party got to hang out and relax at the venue before the festivities began.

Aside from the quality and charm of the venue itself, the EMV staff was INCREDIBLE - we chose EMV more than a year in advance and Maggie (our Event Coordinator) was wonderful and super responsive the entire time. We also worked with Nicolette, who was also awesome, so no matter whom you work with at Early Mountain, you will be in good hands! EMV was the perfect setting for our perfect day and we could not have been happier with our choice. We loved it, our guests loved it, and our vendors loved it too! We are now members of the wine club and are planning to stay in the Bridal Cottage for our one-year anniversary. Needless to say, we are huge fans of EMV and could not have imagined getting married anywhere else!

I fell in love with EMV from the moment I pulled into the drive at this gorgeous venue. I had my winter wedding here and had the most wonderful experience! The staff (Maggie is the best!) is so helpful, professional and sweet. The wine is great, the grounds and spaces are so beautiful and unique and are the definition of a "wow factor". I stayed at the EMV cottage both the day before and night of my wedding and it made my experience so relaxing and special- my bridesmaids and I had so much fun getting ready there- it really is the perfect place to prep for a wedding and a romantic getaway to spend your first night married. Everyone at my wedding raved that EMV was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen and I couldnt agree more- I cannot wait to go back again!

Anyone looking to get married at a vineyard in the Charlottesville area should SERIOUSLY consider Early Mountain Vineyards as the perfect setting for their wedding weekend. While it’s not as centrally located as some other options, it provides a more unique, picturesque setting that you will fall in love with immediately - it is worth the couple miles of driving, and there are countless bed and breakfasts in the vicinity for your guests to make a complete weekend out of your wedding. If the beautiful setting were not enough to convince you, the wedding staff (in particular Nicolette) is extremely helpful and responsive with everything from recommendations, logistics, ideas, and anything else you might have questions about. If we could give six stars on service, quality, and value, we would - the staff, setting, and everything “extra” that you get is that amazing and takes additional work off your plate. Early Mountain Vineyards is worth every penny.

Our recommendation: Go to Early Mountain Vineyards as your first stop, sit down, do a wine tasting, and cancel all the rest of your appointments - nothing else will come close. If you’re getting married in the Charlottesville area, you’re not going to find a more beautiful setting, more helpful staff, or get as many additional time, hassle, and cost saving things (like patio furniture, tables, indoor and outdoor chairs and cushions, and let’s not forget the beautiful, cozy guest cottage for the night of the wedding) than at Early Mountain Vineyards.

My husband and I had a great experience with Early Mountain Vineyards. We did not have a wedding planner and they were such a help with organizing our event. Because of inclement weather, we had to move the ceremony indoors, but it looked lovely and no one could tell it was a last minute change. We worked primarily with Nicolette and she is so organized, calming and informative!

EM is simply beautiful. All the guests enjoyed the view. Nicolette, Maggie & co were very helpful and responsive. We don't have any complaints. We'll definitely be back at EM just to escape from the city. Oh the bridal cottage is wonderful, fully furnished and convenient for a bride and her train.

There's so many great things to say about Early Mountain Vineyard! Our wedding day was like a fairy tale, it had the most beautiful view and atmosphere. Everything from the Great Lawn, Patio, Event Hall, Lounge and Bridal Cottage was absolutely gorgeous. The people there are amazing to work with. They were all super friendly and very accommodating which made our wedding planning experience memorable. We recommend Early Mountain Vineyard to anyone in search of a venue! If we had to do it over again, Early Mountain Vineyard would still be our number one choice.

EMV was the perfect location for our wedding last September! Dolores was wonderful to work with and she made our day very special. I highly recommend utilizing the cottage on-site. I stayed there with my bridesmaids on Friday and then my husband and I stayed there after the wedding on Saturday.

Delores (as she was mainly the person we worked with) was wonderful throughout the whole entire process. She was quick to respond to questions and helpful with her answers. Picking this venue and working with the people at EMV was one of the easiest decisions throughout the entire process.

Early Mountain was my DREAM venue. As soon as I walked into the reception hall and saw the views outside I knew it was the one. Nicolette and Maggie (event coordinators on site) were always professional and so helpful before, during and after our wedding. There are not enough kind words for them! If you're looking for a beautifully romantic venue with a touch of rustic elegance, this is the one for you.

Nicolette and Maggie were amazing to work with. They were pleasant, well organized, and super responsive from the day we toured the facility to the day after the wedding. The were so easy to work with and really helped get things in order for our wedding.

The venue speaks for itself. Just tour the grounds and you'll get it, we couldn't have asked for a better place to get married. The caterer said their kitchen is one of the best in the area and the cottage is a perfect setting for the bridesmaid to get ready.

A hundred and one thank you's for providing such a wonderful and gorgeous venue for our wedding and for your absolute professionalism in supporting us throughout the weekend. The staff at Early Mountain made things so easy for us as far as bringing materials in the day before the wedding and storing our alcohol through the next morning, and also with the tastings and various venue visits over the last year. Most of all, you were extremely pleasant to work with, which made all the difference for our experience. I remember thinking how there is something about the staff at EMV–relaxed, elegant, sophisticated but also sweet and gracious. Thanks Nicolette and Maggie for helping us with logistics throughout the last year, and thank you Delores and Maggie for keeping me (the bride) company in the wings before I was allowed to go out into the reception room and ride on the tandem bicycle into the ceremony :) You helped calm my nerves and were so sweet!!

It goes without saying that the venue is breathtakingly gorgeous, so calming and the blue skies are immense – it’s impossible not to feel instantly relaxed when you arrive on the grounds of the vineyards. In fact, that was the first thing I noticed on my first visit, the amazing hush when I stepped out of my car. Because of the views, mountains and skies, it’s impossible NOT to take a gorgeous photo. Looking back, picking our venue was one of the easiest decisions for us during our planning, and we never once looked back. The fact that the contract included the ceremony/reception chairs/tables was also very convenient, and don’t get me started on the Bridal Cottage :) When I brought my bridesmaids and mom there, it was perfect for us to sit around being girly for a day, feeling relaxed before the ceremony and taking lovely photos with our photographer.

Thanks again and we most certainly will expect to visit EMV as customers for years down the road, so we hope to see you again soon.

The staff at EMV was absolutely amazing and so helpful during the planning process all the way through the end of the wedding. The venue is so romantic and a perfect place to get married! I highly recommend it!

We are so happy we chose Early Mountain as venue. The event staff was always responsive to my emails and questions.

We got ready in the cottage, next to the vineyards. This was a great place for the bridesmaids to get ready and relax, have hair/makeup done, have lunch etc. The cottage has 3 bathrooms, plenty of room. We had hair and makeup done in the front room, which had a lot of natural light. It was a perfect setting for getting ready! We did "first look" picture outside of the cottage – the scenery was perfect. The groomsmens have a designated place to get ready in and hang out with couches and a big TV.

We got married on the lawn and it was perfect - the mountains in the background was a great backdrop. We didn't need many decorations for the ceremony to look great because of the great view and scenery. They had plenty of chairs tables, wine barrels, so we didn't need to worry about renting anything except for an archway. We had our cocktail hour on the patio, which was very convenient because it is steps away from the ceremony. They also have an elevator if anyone needs to use it, which is helpful for any handicapped guests.

They also have a great rain backup plan. We didn't need to use it, but it was nice to know we had a backup in case of rain. If it rained the ceremony would have been in the reception area and the cocktail hour in the long hallway. The reception area is so beautiful; it would still have been a great ceremony.
The reception hall looked beautiful! We didn't need a lot to make the room look amazing. Early Mountain does not have a caterer, so we chose our own. This was also helpful because we could set our own budget and not need to meet at high minimum for food. Everything fit into the reception area perfectly, the food stations, bar, dance floor, cake table, etc.

We also used their firepit to have smores, which was so fun! We had a great day, and we were so happy with Early Mountain Vineyards! We can't wait to go back!

Early Mountain is absolutely beautiful for a wedding. The staff was so kind and helpful with everything, and were always very quick with responses to questions. They will work with you on all details to make your day exactly what you want.

We were looking for vineyards for our wedding and have stopped at numerous locations in Leesburg and Charlottesville. Stepping into Early Mountain's reception area really draws out your breath. It's a gorgeous location with mountains in the background, an outdoor ceremony lawn area that was just redone with fresh greenery and flowers. The bar room is fully furnished with modern furniture and sculptures that it doesn't even need decorating for a wedding. It's beautiful just the way it is which is convenient for weddings. I love the little add-ons that come to renting the venue--there's a groom's ready room at the bottom floor with comfy couches and a nice television screen. A good space for prepping. The bride gets her own special cottage just off the beaten path from the vineyard. The cottage really is a small little house (furnished beautifully as well!) with a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, sleeping room, and ready room.

The staff is great! They make the process so easy and with a wedding--it helps to have a team that is well-organized, has good communication, and know how to plan that perfect day for you. That's why they are there--they just want you to be happy and they go out of their way to do it. They are professionals and the wedding folder that they provide you lists their favorite vendors--vendors that they trust will do the same top-level performance. I love their flexibility. We had a bit of an issue for our favors at the last minute and asked Delores if we could order 125 bottles of wine as our wedding favor at the last minute and she had no problem. She said you can tell me down to the last hour and it would be fine.

The venue is gorgeous and the staff is incredible!! All are very easy to work with and help made our special day perfect. The bridal cottage is a very special place to get ready. The new patio was a true hit with all of our guests for cocktail hour and the reception hall just stole the show! The landscape is perfect for pictures. It is an easy location to get to and tons of parking for guests. This is a perfect location to get married at and Early Mountain Vineyards and their staff will always have a place in our hearts. Oh and the wine is great!

We LOOOOVED Early Mountain Vineyard! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and our guests could not say enough good things about the location, décor, wine and venue. If you are looking for a location for your vineyard wedding, you must check out EMV. My husband and I had looked at almost every vineyard in central VA and by chance we’d learned of EMV. As soon as we walked out after an initial tour he turned to me and said we have to have our wedding there even though, as many grooms, he was less than thrilled to tour locations for our big day and to say the least had been until that point underwhelmed by all other sites we had visited.
The staff at EMV make the planning process easy and it was so nice having an entirely separate wing away from the main tasting room all to ourselves for our wedding. Further, the main hall and gallery are so beautifully decorated that you won’t even need all that much décor. This was especially helpful given that it ended up raining on our big day causing us to move everything inside in front of one of the great big fireplaces on site and surrounded by a hallow of lantern and candlelight (I don’t think it could have been more romantic). Also, EMV is surprisingly a great bang for your buck with all the extras they offer that would add up quickly if purchased/rented separately; EMV offers beautiful big farm tables, tons of available lanterns, stylish chairs that may be brought in from elsewhere on site for cozy seating areas around the fireplaces, a very cool, large fire pit, outdoor heaters, as well as the tables and upgraded chairs with cushions. I also loved that our guests could mosey around the vineyard and hang out at one one of the many firepits with Adirondack chairs and hammocks while listending the live music that always seems to be playing. Our caterer also LOVED the kitchen and prep areas that allowed us to save a bit of money since most of our food could be made on site. I’m so glad that we chose EMV for our wedding!

I fell in love with EMV, I think I stumbled across their site by chance after clicking on several different links while searching for a venue. If you have found EMV please stop looking elsewhere! I had lined up 3 venues to look at one weekend and after going to EMV I called the other 2 places and canceled my appointments. Delores and Nicollete are fantastic to work with and are always so happy to see you. Delores did a whole walk through with us and helped us decide where to place everything, she was so helpful! Most brides are first time brides like me and have no idea what to be thinking about, but with Delores's help your wedding will go smoothly. She even was the one to tell my bridal party when to enter - if she can help in any way she jumps at the opportunity. EMV really made my wedding day special and I couldn't ask for more!

We fell in love with Early Mountain Vineyards as soon as we saw the venue - it is beautiful and makes for a perfect winter wedding with its gorgeous grounds, cozy fireplaces and rustic sophistication. The only thing better than the picturesque venue was the experience we had with the staff. We could not be more happy with the service we were provided throughout our planning process - the event team was extremely professional, provided great suggestions, and went above and beyond with their flexibility to help to make our day perfect. We were lucky enough to visit several times leading up to our wedding day and the the team was always more than happy to make time for us (and never once seemed frustrated with our requests or incessant questions!). Overall, the EMV staff and venue exceeded all of our expectations. We will recommend the vineyard to all our friends and family and hope to visit throughout the year to remember our special day!

Early Mountain Vineyards was the most perfect setting for our October wedding. The outdoor space for our ceremony offered beautiful views and served as a gorgeous backdrop. Their indoor event space is warm, welcoming, and exactly what we were looking for. The staff at Early Mountain really made our decision to choose them an easy one. They were responsive and very kind throughout the entire process. They were helpful and accommodating and always happy to answer our questions, and they never pressured us. I can't thank them enough!

This was SUCH a great experience. I would recommend this venue to anyone, although since I have gotten married the price has gone considerably up. They only do one wedding a weekend so we were able to get things a little bit set up the day before and not be rushed. Working with the coordinators, it's clear that care about the couples getting married and not charging you extra at every turn. The price they give you is what you end up paying (plus any wine you buy). They do ask you to use their wine, but have no set amount you need to purchase. They don't require a caterer.
The site itself is insanely beautiful- kind of a modern rustic look. It has a great outdoor area and giant indoor reception hall. I have gotten so many compliments on the location of my wedding

Early Mountain is a beautiful place for a wedding and the staff make it even better! The wedding coordinator at Early Mountain was always prompt in email response, available for meetings, and clear about the venue provisions and restrictions. She was also gracious, patient, and easy to work with. The staff at this venue also had great teamwork with the outside vendors, and as a result, the wedding and reception were amazing.

We only checked out 3 places with more on the list. Once we got to Sweely Estate Winery and didn't feel the need to look any further. We did a wine tasting while we were there, checked out the facility and met with Delores the hospitality Manager. Everyone was so polite and accommodating. The Winery is stunning, we loved the stone building and its exposed beams. Much of your wedding decoration is already done for you here. Once you look at this place you will know it was made for your wedding. The scenery is beautiful and definitely worth going out of your way to get married here. They have a list of recommended vendors which we took advantage of. Also onsite is a bridal cottage that is newly renovated and was perfect for getting ready in. We had our ceremony out on the lawn facing the mountains, cocktail hour on the patio and the reception was just inside. No traveling between locations, everything was very fluid.

We were so so pleased to be married at the Early Mountain Vineyards. Since our wedding was in March, both ceremony and reception were held in the Event Hall. Although I already knew the Event Hall was beautiful, it turned out to be so cozy and glamorous after just decorated a little by flowers and candles. But this was not the end—EMV had much more than the Event Hall! All places such as the Tasting Room, Patio, Gallery, and Wine Library were so stunning that all guests enjoyed the place so much. My favorite no doubt was the fully decorated and functioning Cottage. My ladies and I spent a wonderful and relaxed afternoon there while getting-ready, as well as took hundreds of beautiful photos. It was pricey, but I did believe the experience deserved every penny. Also, we saved quite amount of money on florist, rental, and catering as tables, chairs, and many decors were already included in the package. In addition, one night stay at the Cottage was too! During the planning process, we worked with Maggie and Taylor, and then Sara and Margaret after Maggie's departure. They were all professional, responsible, flexible, and willing to help. Most importantly, they worked as a team. All information was shared so there were no hiccups during the transition.

We fell in love with Early Mountain Vineyards as soon as we visited. The setting is idyllic, and it's one of the rare vineyard venues with an indoor space as lovely as the outdoor space. This feature came in handy on our wedding day---we had planned to have the cocktail hour outside after the outdoor ceremony, but due to uncomfortably warm weather we opted to have cocktails indoors (luckily, we had rented out the beautiful tasting room). From the stunning reception hall to the outdoor fire pits to the inviting, comfortable cottage that serves as a space for the bride and her bridal party to get ready and a honeymoon suite for the couple, the whole place is thoughtfully designed to make hosting a wedding as stress-free as possible.

The staff was pleasant, professional, and helpful. They responded quickly to any questions we had along the way and were always accommodating. The only comment I have that approaches a criticism concerns the value---while we found the venue itself to be superior to the other winery venues we visited closer to Charlottesville (we visited a total of 6 or 7), I was surprised to learn that the price was as high as or higher than similar venues closer to town (and, therefore, to hotels that can accommodate large room blocks). If you're planning on providing transportation for your guests to get to the venue, it's worth factoring in that cost. But keep in mind that Early Mountain also offers amenities you'll pay extra for elsewhere, such as chairs for both the ceremony and the reception, tables, and decor items---not to mention a honeymoon suite!

Overall, we felt like Early Mountain Vineyards was the perfect place to get married. Countless guests (and vendors) commented on how beautiful the venue was, and the thoughtful details that make it such an excellent event space helped our wedding go seamlessly. I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking to get married in the Charlottesville area.

Early Mountain Vineyards was a gorgeous location for our wedding. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful, and it was nice to have flexibility and not need to worry about weather (though thankfully we were able to use the lawn for our ceremony). It was beautiful in May, though I think a fall or winter wedding here would also be lovely. The tasting room and reception hall don't really need any work to look amazing. The cottage was a great space to get ready in, and we appreciated that we didn't have to drive back to Charlottesville the night of the wedding.

Their event staff (I mostly communicated with Abby and Sara) were easy to get in touch with and very helpful. The only downsides for us were the distance from Charlottesville (about 45 minutes) and it is a little pricey - but well worth it!

Taylor was incredibly helpful and responsive.

Two reasons to get married here: 1. It is stunningly beautiful. Whether you choose to married inside or out (we picked inside by the gorgeous fireplace, and was extra grateful we did when we woke up to rain!), every corner of this place will make a stunning backdrop for photographs and is also a cozy place to relax with a glass of wine. We booked the huge tasting room for cocktail hour, and people loved the back patio for taking pictures and admiring the views. 2. The staff was amazing. Maggie and Delores took all the stress out of wedding planning with their quick and knowledgeable replies to our questions throughout the year leading up to the wedding. It is clear they do events a lot: they could offer great suggestions but were also very flexible and laid back, which allowed us to have the day we wanted to have. They really have a great team there and you can tell everyone loves working at EMV. The other huge pro is the use of the gorgeous on-site bridal cottage for getting ready.
My vendors all breathed a huge sigh of relief when I told them we had picked Early Mountain. They told me they all love working there for the same reasons I listed above. In short, book here if you want a beautiful, stress-free wedding!

It's been just over a month since our wedding and I so want to go back and do it all over again! It was a fairytale. We had looked at about 5 other venues before EMV. BUT I had already seen pictures of EMV and had my heart set on it, so the other places really didn't stand a chance. We drove down from Annapolis Maryland to check out the vineyard and I had mentally signed the contract as we drove up before we even parked. Everything from the manicured lawn with beautiful flowers, the vastness of the vineyard and the rolling hills, to the stone and brick on the main building, was enough for me... Then you walk inside and you're done..."where's the contract!?" It's 5 stars in every area (except value). To be clear, the place is absolutely amazing and breathtaking and the service you'll get from Maggie and Delores is top notch and incredibly professional and super responsive (and we asked a ton of questions via email - all answered right away), but the price tag is quite steep. With that said, if you have the budget to go for it, you won't be disappointed. We heard from several quests at our wedding that it was the most beautiful wedding they had even been to. Of course, as a bride who worked for over a year on this day, that was music to my ears, and the location is largely what made the wedding as beautiful as it was.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at Early Mountain on 9/27/14. The ceremony was outdoors and the reception was inside in their reception hall. The venue is just beautiful and we were told several times that our wedding was on our friends' list of their favorite weddings they attended.

While the venue is definitely a little bit pricey, it certainly wasn't the most expensive venue we looked at and I think you get a great value since EMV provides all the tables and chairs for the ceremony and reception. They also have a great kitchen (no rentals needed!); in fact our caterer was relieved to hear our reception location because they enjoy working there.

Another perk of this venue is the cottage where the bride and bridesmaids can get ready. The cottage has a kitchen, several bathrooms, and plenty of space to have your hair and makeup team set up to pamper the ladies. The guys get access to a "man cave" room downstairs with a big TV, perfect for them to finish getting ready and hang out before the ceremony.

The ceremony area is set away from the rest of the tasting room area open to the public so you don't feel like you have wedding crashers wandering through or a bunch of strangers watching your ceremony. You can't help a few people looking on, but it was quiet and not a problem. Another great part was the owners decided to close the winery at 6 pm - thank goodness! That cuts down on time that you'd have to share the venue with anyone else.

We worked mostly with Nicolette, although we worked with Delores as well. Nicolette was friendly and accommodating throughout the planning process, especially the month leading up to the big day. When she knew how frustrated I was with my day-of-coordinator, she really stepped up and helped coordinate and I had total confidence that with her help, everything would be pulled off smoothly. Other staff at EMV were pleasant to work with, but Nicolette really put my mind at ease and allowed me to enjoy my wedding.

My wife and I looked at venues all over the Charlottesville region and even at venues around Maryland. We really wanted a venue that had a beautiful outdoor setting and equally as wonderful reception area. While many venues can boast having one or the other, Early Mountain Vineyard has everything. It is rare you can say that you would be just as happy with the ceremony indoors as outdoors but we did and truly meant it. Everything about it is stunning and the attention to detail the owners and Event Planning team put into everything is noticeable. My wife and I have high standards of quality and never once were we disappointed. The cost is certainly not inexpensive but you get what you pay for and more. Having the flexibility to find our own vendors was perfect and it made our wedding that much more a reflection of who we are. I cannot say thank you enough to EMV, Maggie and Nicolette for what they did for us.

Early Mountain Vineyard provided a beautiful backdrop for our wedding day. The staff was professional, flexible, and were willing to work with our schedules to accommodate our needs for the rehearsal and wedding day. We met with Nicolette to go over the details for the day and the room was set up just as we asked. The price was a bit high but was well worth it. I'd definitely suggest this space for future brides.

Early Mountain was a wonderful place to get married. The beauty of the venue is undeniable. The staff is also very accommodating. They quickly respond to any questions or requests, are flexible to ensure your vision of the day is met, and incredibly helpful. We were complimented throughout the day on the beauty of the setting. We could't have asked for a better place to hold our special day or better people to work with!

Beautiful setting in the foothills of the Blue Ridge about one and a half hours from DC or Richmond. Absolutely gorgeous vistas of the mountains, grapevines, old barns, and farmland. The weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony and we used the patio for pre and post ceremony cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The event hall for the reception is grand but not at all stuffy. It's the perfect place for anything from rustic to elegant. They provided white resin folding chairs for the outdoor ceremony and 60"round tables and chiavari chairs with cushions for the indoor reception/dinner. They have a large commercial kitchens that the caterer loved and we used their 8' farm tables for desserts, gifts, and coffee. It's a very classy place with a down-to-earth, friendly staff and welcoming feel. The event manager was knowledgable, friendly, accommodating, and just plain fun to work with. We had a meet-and-greet the evening before the wedding in their tasting room. The guests absolutely loved it. Everyone got a chance to acquaint themselves with the location, enjoy the scenery, and meet others who would be attending the wedding. I think it was especially nice for single guests. It made it easy for them to connect with people they had talked to the night before. They have a lovely one bedroom guest cottage with three bathrooms that was available the day of the wedding. It was more than ample for accommodating my hair and makeup people, friends, and relatives who helped me prepare for the big day. In my opinion, despite the price, we couldn't have chosen a better venue for our wedding. It was absolutely perfect!

We are so thrilled we chose Early Mountain as venue. The venue was gorgeous, the tasting room was the perfect place to have our cocktail hour because of its warmth and plethora of seating, the cottage was the perfect place for the bridesmaids and me to get ready, and the groom and his groomsmen had fun in their lounge watching football on the big screen TV. The event staff were always so wonderful to work with, too. They were very responsive and happy to help.

I actually rented out the guest cottage the night before my wedding, but having the cottage the night of is built into the price of the venue. It was awesome to be able to stay on the property the night before so that I was exactly where I needed to be the whole day. The cottage is a fantastic space for getting ready too. It has 3 bathrooms, 2 sitting areas, a little kitchen and a bedroom, so there was plenty of room for my bridesmaids, the mothers, and me to get ready. Hair and makeup came to us and set up in the cottage and we all got to relax a bit and have some lunch. It was really perfect. The whole cottage is very picturesque as well. We took some pictures inside and outside.

Our ceremony and reception were both in the event hall, and that space is stunning on it's own, but once all of our flowers and table decorations were in place, it was a dream come true. And getting married in front of a big fireplace was so romantic and perfect for us. The fire pits outside were well also well used because we used them as a s'mores station, which was super fun.

The only thing to keep in mind is that Early Mountain is a bit pricey, but if you're willing to get married in the winter months, you can save a couple thousand dollars. We splurged a bit on our venue, but we just fell in love with it from the first time we visited.

Honestly, our wedding day was perfect, and Early Mountain helped us to make it that way. It was all we could have hoped for and more. It really was our dream wedding.

Early Mountain Vineyards was the perfect place for my wedding. The decor and location are just gorgeous and the staff are very polite.

We recently had our wedding at EMV. We absolutely loved the backdrop of the Shenandoah Mountains, and we loved the tasting room for our cocktail hour. The weather ended up being too cold/windy to have our ceremony outside, but the catering company was able to use the reception room and have it flipped. This allowed us to have beautiful lanterns along the walkway next to guest seats, and we had the backdrop of a beautiful fireplace and mantle. We were very happy with it. A bonus is that their wine is also terrific!

From the first time we visited Early Mountain two years prior, we knew this was the place for our reception. The event hall is just breathtaking—the fireplaces were lit and the lighting just right to make for the most romantic feel. We loved the patio outside the hall and many made use of it during the reception to roast marshmallows for s’mores which were a big hit. The tasting room made for the perfect cocktail hour and our guests LOVED the amount of seating and the space – both inside and out – available to them. While we did not use EMV to get ready before our ceremony as we were married at UVA, we stayed the night in the cottage after our reception and it was luxurious and the staff even had a bottle of wine and snacks waiting for us! The event staff at EMV was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating of my constant questions and ideas and helped our day run flawlessly. While expensive for the area, the wine is delicious and we enjoyed being able to taste the variety of options prior to selecting those that would be served during our reception. Early Mountain is well worth the price tag – our photos are absolutely stunning, the service wonderful, and the experience unforgettable.

Early Mountain Vineyards did a wonderful job with our wedding. Their staff is great and accommodated me so wonderfully as an out-of-town bride. Our guests loved the beautiful setting and indoor space. The price is on par with other similar venues in the area. Also, the cottage is gorgeous and is such as peaceful and fun place for the bride and party to get ready. And we stayed there the wedding night prior to leaving for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. Overall we would highly recommend EMV and would definitely get married there again!

My husband and I were married on a Monday - a highly unusual situation! The staff at Early Mountain made everything on our end very easy, and the cost was significantly less expensive than for a weekend wedding. Every step of the way, they communicated what they needed from us. This venue is incredibly convenient; there is an outdoor and indoor ceremony space (in case of rain), elevators for the small staircases (in case of elderly guests), ceremony chairs and chiavari chairs included, and beautiful spaces for both the men and women to get ready separately! They also allow an outside caterer, and have no minimum fee on wine consumption. The only miscommunications we had were very minor and on the day of the wedding rehearsal - and our wedding went off seamlessly! This is an absolutely stunning space and in a very quiet location. There is simply no downside. I highly recommend this venue!

We loved everything about our wedding at Early Mountain! The bridal cottage to get ready in was spectacular. The men had a great board room with plenty of space to dress in. The ceremony cite and the banquet room were both fantastic and EMV was very flexible to work with. Go check it out!

Early Mountain was wonderful pretty much from start to finish for our wedding. They answered questions promptly and even helped our planner out at times. Maggie, Delores, and Taylor are great and a wonderful group of ladies to work with. Thank you!

Early Mountain Vineyards is not only a gorgeous vineyard but the grounds and reception hall are breathtaking! During the planning process of my wedding I was very pleased with Delores and Nicolette, the event coordinators of Early Mountain Vineyards (EMV). They responded to my questions promptly, assisted with room layouts and helped me envision the flow of my big day! EMV’s bridal cottage to get ready in, and spend our first night as newlyweds was a true dream! The bridal cottage was able to accommodate not only a beautiful spread of food for my bridal luncheon, but hair artists and assistant, and a makeup artist! There was plenty of room for my bridesmaids and I to spread out, relax and enjoy the day while still having full bridal beauty staff on site and in the same location without being crowded. EMV also had a grooms corner, or a man cave for Jon and his crew to hang out in before the wedding ceremony, and this was away from the bridal cottage, and away from the commotion of the ceremony and reception hall, so they had some privacy as well and a location to store all the bridal party’s belongings while the event was occurring! EMV staff was also very helpful in getting a stain out of Jon’s jacket, because he had some red wine substance spill on his wedding suit! In addition, EMV was very helpful in coordinating and assisting with cleanup for the wedding reception.
However on the day of my wedding, they dropped the ball in executing the “Big Day”. My major requests were not executed, and my family, my Mom in particular had to keep stopping what she was doing to redirect the staff and get the things done! My Mom should not have had to been an event coordinator on my wedding day when Early Mountain Vineyard has two capable women staffed for such a purpose and who you basically pay for. By EMV not following our requests, my wedding was delayed to begin by 30 minutes which offset the entire evening.

We had our wedding this fall at EMV and it was absolutely gorgeous – we loved our wedding venue! EMV provides the tables, chairs, fireplaces, lanterns, one-night-stay at the cottage, etc. That's the good part; however, when planning your wedding with EMV they are not the quaint vineyard professionals you're expecting. Expect to pay tons of money and then some, there is no flexibility with any of their time schedules, prices or rules. The event coordinators are half rude and half nice and basically get paid to scan your credit card and do nothing else. EMV staff will not lift a finger for you and they REQUIRE you do all the work yourself or hire out. The EMV staff mentality is "if you have an issue with the price, the time schedule or the absurd cost of our wine, then leave...someone else will pay even more to have their wedding at our vineyard." Your pictures will look great, but it's definitely a lot of hassle leading up to your wedding day.
