Professional and Timeless

Erik was my Graphic Arts teacher when I was in High School and also taught photgraphy. I knew I wanted him to be my wedding Photographer after that! When my fiancé engaged me he had been listening and had Erik their at our engagement. After that he did our engagement shot and wedding. It was the most pleasant experience ever! His photos are classy and timeless. All of my guests commented on how good of quality photos we got and how many were so good! He sent us a whole 4000! He was extremely flexible, easy going, and professional. He never made a moment awkward and also knew how to pose us when we needed while still keeping his distance and shooting the raw moments while we enjoyed our day. He was there super early and never missed anything. Our wedding coordinator kept telling us how he was getting every shot! You will never miss a photo of yourself or your guests. He also fluffed my dress when I needed, listened to any preferences we had, and really helped us create our perfect day with his years of experience during our wedding meeting. He had also attended rehearsal and made sure to scope out the venue for all of the best spots before the wedding day. He is worth every dollar!

Amazing person and photographer!

Erik did our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. I met him through a friend (he is also a high school teacher). He helped us through every plan, every COVID reschedule, and every moment between. He was so kind, communicative, and put us at ease throughout the whole process - especially on our wedding day. I already know his work is beautiful from our engagement photos (and from my friend's wedding photos), but having Erik there throughout our wedding day was truly a blessing. We were running a bit behind, but he was so kind and patient while also making sure we got everything done that we had wanted to. I could not more highly recommend Erik!

Fantastic!

Erik was a fantastic photographer for our wedding! He made the process super simple from booking all the way up to the event. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He arrived early and ready to start. Erik is very personable and we were happy to have him play such an important role in our special day.

Best photographer Ever!

Eric is one of the best photographers I've ever seen and one of the nicest, easy going individuals I've met. Me and my wife couldn't have been happier with the pictures he took for our engagement and wedding ceremony. Was easy to work with and made everything very stress free. Eric actually helped us with some ideas for our wedding that was truly appreciative. There is no one else I could recommend more than Eric. Very affordable and got so much with his service. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing Photographer!

I am so thrilled with the beautiful photos we have of our wedding day. Erik Leise is the hardest worker you will find--he was constantly up and moving, making sure he captured all the special moments. I am so happy to have the perfect mix of formal shots (gorgeous sunset shots, I might add) with the fun, candid shots that make me laugh and smile every time I look at them. Erik will be there with you every step of the way, including the rehearsal, wedding, reception, and more, even if your venue is outside of Richmond, like ours was. And if there is something special to you that you want photographed, he will make it happen. He is not only a great photographer, but he is an amazing person who will make you feel completely comfortable. We 100% recommend him; he will give you thousands of gorgeous photos of your wedding day and celebration, and every time you open your wedding album, you will find yourself smiling, laughing, and remembering all of the beautiful moments of that day. Hire Erik if you want stunning photos!

This is LONG overdue, as we were married on 12/31/2014 - a New Year's Eve wedding at the Bolling Haxall House in Richmond, VA. We could not have been happier with Erik and the photos. He captured every moment, and then some, and managed to stay behind the scenes and unobtrusive the entire evening.

Erik even helped calm me down when I was REALLY late arriving at the venue to get ready. My hair and make-up appointment had run over an hour late. We were scheduled to take bridal portraits before the ceremony and I was afraid there wouldn't be enough time. He assured me that all was well, we had plenty of time and helped get me into a better headspace to have my picture taken. (Nothing like a frazzled bride gritting her teeth through a smile!)

Erik was one of the last vendors we hired. I had been communicating with other photographers and even interviewed a couple and hadn't found the right fit. The DJ company we used hosted a "Meet the DJs" night and had included other wedding vendors. I spoke with Erik briefly, just before the event ended, and liked him immediately. We (hubby and me), met with him the next afternoon and sent an email a few hours later securing him for our date.

I highly recommend Erik as a wedding photographer. I still look at my photos, now five years later, and marvel at how they not only captured the event but the emotions of the evening too. If Wedding Wire would allow it, I'd rate him at an eleven!

Hire this photographer!!!

We could not have asked for a better photographer. Eric was organized and responsive helping us plan for our wedding, and was phenomenal at the events. At the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception, Eric was omnipresent. He captured thousands of fantastic shots for us to remember our day, and posted them quickly, with an easy link to share with family and friends. He will be our first choice for any future events, and should be yours, too

Erik Leise was a great addition to my son's wedding!

Erik Leise was wonderful to work with at my son's wedding! He was professional, thoughtful, and very flexible. The weather cleared up and he was able to quickly include an entire outdoor photo shoot. He was high energy and was always in the right place to capture some amazing moments! His photos are incredible and included black and white and color versions of literally thousands of great shots! Erik is fantastic! He captures all of your memories from the rehearsal dinner to the final send off. In addition, he provides you a link to all of your photos and you are welcome to do with them what you please. Our favorite vendor to work with!

My husband and I had just moved to the Richmond area from out of state and only had a few months to plan our wedding, so we knew going into this that finding our vendors would be a challenge. We decided to look for a photographer first and we were so glad that we found Erik. My husband and I are both introverts and don’t like being the center of attention. We were looking for a photographer that didn’t focus on posed portraits. We wanted “natural” looking photos. After looking online, we both agreed that we really liked the candid and sunset photos in Erik’s portfolio and that his prices were affordable so we decided to contact him.

Within minutes of setting up a meeting with Erik, we knew that we wanted to hire him on the spot. He was so polite, friendly, and easy to talk to that we knew that we made the right choice. We decided we also wanted to book an engagement shoot to get more comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding. Since we weren’t familiar with the area, Erik recommended taking our photos in the downtown area. We were nervous, but never felt like we were put on the spot or like we needed to strike a pose. Everything just felt natural. In addition to being passionate about photography, Erik is also very passionate about the Richmond area, so it ended up being a fun tour of the city as well!

During the wedding, Erik truly went above and beyond. We requested a list of shots and asked him to focus on sunset photos, DIY details, and a picture or two of my dad smiling. Erik definitely delivered and even got multiple photos of my dad grinning from ear to ear, even though he is normally always stoic. Throughout the night, Erik helped coordinate with all of our vendors, including our DJ (who we hired upon his recommendation) to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Everyone at the wedding kept complementing us on how friendly and helpful our photographer was. To this day, relatives are still asking us for prints of our wedding photos nearly a year later! Overall, we had a great experience with Erik as both our engagement and wedding photographer, and we would not hesitate to recommend him or hire him again for an event. Thank you so much Erik!

Erik is outstanding!

I really do not typically write reviews, but Erik really was one of the nicest and easiest people to work with. He was one of my two favorite vendors for my wedding in October of 2019, and even ended up recommending the DJ that we used (who was my other favorite vendor). As I said before, Erik was super easy to work with and so friendly. His energy just made me relax as I knew he would take care of everything. Erik was always responsive to any question that I had and was flexible when I threw things at him at the last minute. He essentially kept the wedding party moving as he knew our schedule in and out. Without him I am not even sure if I would have made it to the church on time! About a month after the wedding, we received a link from him which contained over 3800 photos. We were blown away by all the pictures he took. We spent hours laughing and crying over all the moments he captured. I still do not know how he managed to capture everything that he did and even after six months cannot keep going back and looking at all the wonderful pictures. Erik knew exactly when to pull us aside for the perfect shot with the best lighting. I highly recommend Erik to anyone who needs a photography. I cannot say enough about how great and professional he is. He is outstanding!

Outstanding Photographer!!

Erik was an amazing photographer to capture our wedding! From our traditional church service, catching all the parts of the ceremony, to being in the middle of the dancing ! The amount of pictures we received that reflected our day exactly how it was is outstanding! We could not be more thrilled with how accommodating he was but also how he was creative with different picture suggestions. We loved that he was able to be at the rehearsal to understand the ceremony and include those memories too. Lastly, Erik truly covered our entire day and we loved the unlimited time of coverage!

Erik was fantastic!

Erik was a fantastic wedding photographer; I'm so happy we found him! He was the most responsive out of any of our vendors, organized with a list of all the photo combinations we wanted, and very flexible/willing to make suggestions for many of our "staged" shots, all without pushing us to do anything we were uncomfortable with. He got along great with our family members and took sooooo many amazing pictures. I can't believe some of the reception shots he got; it looks like he was in the middle of the party, but he was so unobtrusive, we didn't even notice that he was there! I love that he was able to capture so many aspects of our wedding day. Those are priceless memories and thanks to Erik, we have thousands of beautiful pictures to help us remember them. He is a wonderful person and wonderful photographer, we highly recommend him!

Amazing Photographer!

I don’t know where to start. Erik is an absolutely amazing photographer and I feel really blessed to have found him for our wedding! From our first contact, he was very professional, yet still down to earth. It really felt like I’d known him for a long time, and that meant a lot knowing he would be with me for the entire day! My husband and I both feel like we’re terrible at taking pictures, but Erik made the whole experience comfortable. He’s excellent at what he does and you almost forget he’s there . . . until you see the all the beautiful photos!!!! ! Simply wonderful

Erik was so wonderful and down to earth. He was a pleasure to work with. We are a bit informal and very uncomfortable in front of a camera. We knew we wanted a more relaxed feel to everything, but in terms of planned photos, we had minimal ideas. Erik was responsive and incredibly helpful, but he did not push us in any direction we weren't comfortable. He understood what we wanted, and he delivered. He was present but never really in the way, which was a feat given the small space of our venue. He was able to capture some incredibly candid moments and those are some of our absolute favorite photos. Choosing Erik as our photographer was the easiest and best decision we made. We'd highly recommend him.

Beautiful photos!

Erik did a beautiful job photographing our wedding. He managed to capture all of the traditional photos and still provided us with many creative and unusual shots, which is what we were hoping for. We requested a few very specific images and they were done very thoughtfully.

Amazing photographer!

Erik did an incredible job as our photographer for our wedding in September 2018; hiring him was one of the best decisions that we made. Erik is extremely talented, hardworking, professional, and reliable. Plus, he’s personable and a lot of fun! We had him take engagement photos in addition to our wedding photos and they all turned out beautifully. Because our wedding was in Charlottesville and he is based out of Richmond, he even offered to meet us at our venue a few months before the wedding so he could scope out shot locations. He really went the extra mile for us and we felt like we were in capable hands throughout the entire planning process and on our wedding day.

Erik caught every detail of our wedding day without being obtrusive. His demeanor and style puts you at ease and allows him to capture gorgeous, natural photos. I’ve loved going back and looking at our wedding photos over and over again; it’s like I’m reliving the day each time I view them! Erik is also very budget-friendly and his pricing includes unlimited time on your wedding day. So many of our guests even commented on how amazing he was at our reception. Erik did an absolutely amazing job for our september wedding! My husband and I planned our wedding while thousands of miles away from each other and Erik was super accomodating! There was never an issue of service and he truly does an absolutely amazing job. Very laid back and makes you feel so relaxed on a day that is bound to be anxiety filled! Deciding on a wedding photographer is a BIG deal! You want a detailed oriented, attentive photographer who you can work easily with, and who will truly capture your wedding day! We could not have been more pleased with Erik and his services! My husband and I were married on November 12, 2017, in Dulles, VA, and Erik drove all the way up from Richmond to offer his services at our wedding/reception. Erik is so responsive, and very easy to speak with. He makes you feel very comfortable, and almost like family! He arrived early the day of our wedding, and stayed late! He really has a magical way of taking pictures without you even realizing he is there! Of course, he took the specific pictures we asked him to (bride/groom, family pictures, etc), but throughout the day and night he took so many awesome candid shots that we saw later when all the photos were uploaded. I really wanted a photographer that took more than the cookie-cutter wedding shots, and Erik nailed it! We have so many great candid shots of everyone from our wedding...our guests (and us) have real smiles captured in the moment, without even realizing a picture was being taken. My husband and I are not super photogenic, but I feel like Erik took the best pictures ever! Even my husband commented on how awesome all of the pictures turned out. Erik as an amazing photographer. My husband and I knew right away when we sat down with him that he was the right photographer for us. He is incredibly genuine and personable, and has an amazing portfolio. We felt so comfortable with him from the get go. We did our engagement photos with him and they came out perfectly, but nothing compares to how beautifully our wedding photos came out. Erik converted about half to black and white and left the rest in color, but with the option to switch anything we wanted back to color (or vice versa). He chose all the right ones to convert and we are so happy with all of our pictures. One thing he does that no other photographer I know does is go to the rehearsal which was great because he got familiar with the wedding party and family and we got pictures from the rehearsal which was amazing. He takes a ton of candid pictures which allows us to really feel like we are reliving our wedding when we look at them. I can't say enough good things about him. Additionally, we were sort of all over the place during the wedding and he was super patient and funny the whole time. I cannot recommend him more.

I cannot say enough kind things about Erik! He was easily my favorite vendor. From the first meeting, he was friendly, warm, and personable. He is very budget friendly and gives you access to all of your photos without extra cost.

He was very responsive to emails and very flexible with any changes. He took our engagement photos too and had them ready for us in about 48 hours.

On the wedding day, he knew exactly where to be and when. He was never in the way, but managed to capture every moment. He helped deliver cards, pick up deliveries, and tie ties.

Overall, I would recommend Erik over and over again. You can’t go wrong with him!

Erik was absolutely amazing to work with! He was very fast to respond to my questions leading up to the wedding, willing to meet at my venue months prior to the wedding, and offered unlimited time for the rehearsal and wedding day. Erik was awesome! He was so professional and truly interested in our vision for our wedding photos. He is well seasoned in the wedding industry and has a way of keeping you calm throughout the whole process. Erik is extremely creative and has an eye for each photo. Erik is awesome! When we met, he was extremely professional and asked questions about our vision for our day. He showed me examples of the types of photos I was interested in, and I was sold. Holy cow. I seriously don't know what we would have done without Erik as our wedding photographer. If we had to pick the single best choice we made about our wedding- Erik is by far it. First off we could not believe his rate. Secondly he went above and beyond on our wedding day- he's extremely professional and knows what he's doing and knows so much about weddings in general- more than any of our vendors and even our coordinator. I'm not sure what we would have done without him throughout the whole day. We loved getting to know him for our engagement shots (which were almost as incredible as our wedding photos). Can't get over the photos he captured on our day and you get all the photos at the end of the day which is great. We booked him almost two years in advance which felt silly at the time but now I totally get it. Seriously the best in every way. We also learned we knew some other couples who had used him for their wedding and their experienced echoed ours to a T!!

I cannot say enough great things about Erik! He was flexible, helpful, professional, and creative. He did an amazing job capturing our big day! The pictures are absolutely beautiful. He also did our engagement photos and wedding rehearsal and dinner, He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera during the photo sessions. Then when it came time for the reception he was like a ninja with a camera, it was like he wasn't there but he took hundreds of photos of our family and friends enjoying the wedding with us. Erick is amazing! He did the photos for my brothers wedding so I knew his quality of work before hand. He is so efficient making sure to get all the photos on the list you want but doing so in a timely manner. Even with our timeline having to be changed around some the day of he worked with us so well and captured every moment. You get your photos back to quickly and he gives you every photo you could ever imagine. amazing candids of the night on the dance floor to remember the big night. Recommend him to everyone! If I had to give a MVP for our wedding it would be Erik! I wouldn't have guessed that the photographer would be so involved in the days events and making sure the timeline was moving along throughout the day but Erik was there every step of the way and kept me informed about who arrived, weather updates, who was still getting ready, what family members needed pictures, etc. He was so kind and thoughtful and captured all of our special moments without intrusion; no one noticed he was there! (In the nicest way, Erik). He was top-notch and we were so pleased with his services!!!

Erik was a dream to work with. He captured every special moment and more from our wedding. Erik was fantastic! He captured our wedding day so beautifully. We were running behind before starting our "first look" and portraits before the ceremony, and he helped keep things on schedule so we could still get all the "must haves" on time. We have a large and loud family, which he was able to impressively corral for various portraits. Once the reception started, Erik was able to get so many amazing gems without anyone even knowing he was there. He was so unobtrusive but will seemed to be everywhere at once, and didn't miss a moment. Communicating with him before our wedding was easy and he responded quickly, and was flexible about changing rehearsal times and arrival times. The value for the service we got was unbeatable - we wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone's photography needs in the Richmond area!!

Erik was a phenomenal wedding photographer and we loved the unique and creative pictures he took for us! Meeting with Erik initially, I was completely relieved at how organized he was and the great questions he asked. He really wanted to know the important pieces of the wedding so he could make sure to capture them. Actually, there was one small thing (the name of a street corner next to our venue, which happens to be my husband's last name) that I only mentioned once at that initial meeting that Erik remembered and made sure to capture on the wedding day. Erik showed up at the rehearsal (at no extra charge) and took wonderful pictures of that and also a lot of notes on the layout of the venue and the order of the events. He showed up the day of the wedding and just went over his list of everything for me, which made me really happy and took away any stress I had about the day - I knew Erik had it covered and would capture all the moments that mattered to us. He is also extremely efficient, which was hugely important to me. I wanted our family and wedding party to be able to enjoy the cocktail hour and the reception without taking pictures forever. Erik was so organized that he had already planned out the pictures in the most efficient order and had everyone in place really quickly, so the staged pictures took almost no time at all. When we were taking the pictures of just me and my husband, Erik found this really cool side street to capture the moment, with really unbelievable back-lighting that made the photos look so unique and special. Another thing we really loved would be the candid pictures he captured at the reception - the pictures came back exactly as we remember the night, filled with fun, dancing, laughter and love. I really couldn't have asked for anything more from a vendor and my husband and I agree that Erik was by far our favorite vendor of the whole wedding! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I live in Northern VA and was planning a Richmond, VA wedding and I searched and searched for a wedding photographer from NoVA to come to Richmond, but the prices were out of our budget. It was then I decided to look for a photographer in Richmond. I thought by lowering our budget that I would be forfeiting quality and experience but I was surely wrong when we met Erik. He was EXCELLENT. My initial worry was that since he is a single shooter, he would not be able to capture me walking down the aisle from the back and from the front. He reassured me he would be able to do this. I was perplexed but trusted him. He nailed it. The wedding pictures came out fabulous. There are pictures of me walking down aisle from the back view and from the front. How he did it? I have no clue! I never saw him! After the formal pictures were taken at the wedding, I hardly noticed him the rest of the evening, yet he captured it all. Our pictures turned out amazing! He is professional, he made us feel so comfortable and he’s an all-around great guy! I HIGHLY suggest you book Erik for your wedding. The quality of service you will receive is beyond top-notch.

Erik did an outstanding job from the beginning to the end of our daughter's wedding. He had an excellent plan for capturing everything that was happening throughout the day and is expert at handling the logistics of working with so many people to get the photos that he wants. I love the artistry that comes through in his photography. While many photographers limit the time that they stay at the event, Erik was there from beginning to end. He covered so much territory, that it seemed that there had to be more than one of him! I couldn't be happier with the photographs that Erik provided.

Erik was our favorite vendor by far. My husband and I shopped around for photographers for a long time before finding the perfect one. When we found Erik we knew he was something special. He drove an hour to Charlottesville to meet with us for the initial visit. After the first ten minutes with him we were completely sold. Erik did our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, and our wedding photos - all of them stunning. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and kept all the photo sessions light hearted and fun.

Erik not only attended the rehearsal, but also spent nine hours with us on our wedding day. He showed up with a smiling face and was quick to calm my nerves. He had a list of all the shots he wanted to get, helped plan our morning, and made sure we kept the timeline throughout the day, all while not rushing us or causing stress. We had a large and rowdy wedding party (8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen) and Erik did an excellent job at commanding the group; he helped focus everyone without stifling the fun and laughter. As a cherry on top, Erik is also excellent at doing all the small random tasks you don't always know how to do - placing a veil, fluffing the train of my dress, etc. Erik was truly amazing and was the essential part that made our wedding day run so smoothly. We received compliments on him all night long from our guests who were so impressed by his nimble skills and genuine personality.

Erik is incredible! My wedding planner recommended him and she was spot on! My fiancé and I live out of state and didn't met Erik until the rehearsal. He was so friendly and jumped right in to introducing himself to our family and snapping pictures. Erik reviewed the photo ideas my planner had sent him and his experience at our venue (Libby Hill park) gave us so many great photo options! He gave us the perfect balance with directing us for certain pictures and just letting us do our own silly thing. The day of the wedding he was there from prep to the last dance. It felt like he captured every moment! The moments we wanted a pic immediately, he was right there, like he knew :) Our wedding was October 7 and we had 1700+ photos 3 weeks later and they were perfection! He really did capture everything. I felt like I was reliving the day looking through them all. I got to see all the parts I missed, like my husband getting ready and friends and family meeting for the first time. I had so many of my friends and family tell me the next day that our photographer was great, professional, and so nice to be around, like he was just one of the guests. Once everyone saw the pictures they raved about how exceptional his work was. The experience, the price and the quality were absolutely amazing!! Thank you so much Erik!

Erik was hands down the best vendor we booked for our wedding. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, he was responsive and helpful. He answered emails so quickly and helped us find other vendors that we hadn't booked yet.

He comes to both the rehearsal and is there unlimited hours on the wedding day. I'm convinced that he is the entire reason our wedding day ran as smooth as it did. He came up with great ideas for portrait locations and was there throughout the entire day, coordinating with my wedding planner to keep everything on track and on time. If you think you need to hire a second photographer to capture everything that is happening, Erik proves that wrong easily. I'm still not sure how, but anytime anything was happening, he was there capturing it. It wasn't in an obtrusive way either. He blended in with the whole party very organically.

Also, as someone who is somewhat impatient, especially when standing in one position for long periods of time, Erik made the whole portrait process very easy and painless. I'm still amazed at how quickly he knocked out all of the pictures with my family, who are as easy to coordinate as herding cats. Erik was absolutely amazing.

To top it all off, we got our wedding pictures back within 2 1/2 weeks and I couldn't be more excited about them. All 2200+ of them. He has a real eye for candids and the dancing photos from the reception are some of the best I've seen from any wedding. He also managed to get at least one picture of every single guest that attended the wedding.

The last thing I'll add is an email I got from my notoriously picky Grandma after she went through the picture gallery.
"thanks for sending!!!.....I looked at them all...loved them all....not a bad picture among them....great photographer!!!!....

Photographers was probably my most labored decision. I had no idea about "types of photography" or how to narrow the huge list of vendors down. So I basically went by the best reviews and looked at their portfolio and looked for how I wanted my pictures to look. I can't tell you what "types" Eric does well or what it is about his pictures that caught my eye.

All I can tell you is that his pictures are breath taking. He just sent me my 1000+ photos and with everyone I am blown away with how he was able to capture the moments. Look through his portfolio and say to yourself, "is this how I want to remember my wedding", and chances are, your answer will be yes. His photos invoke a feeling that is indescribable.

And Eric as a person is a dream. He has a beautiful demeanor and so easy to work with. And his experience came in handy when trying to solve random problems during the rehearsal! It's weird to think how the photography made everything easier and smoother, but he did! And every commented on how they never even SAW him, but he captured EVERYTHING! His professionalism is top notch, but he is so kind-hearted and warm, you will feel at ease ALWAYS with him.

Eric is so special and so wonderful and he was perfect. Nothing short of stellar. He was one of the hardest of the decisions, I thought, in hindsight, he was the easiest. And the best.

Erik Leise is simply amazing. He was the easiest vendor to work with. He let us be as creative and imaginative as we wanted. Erik did our engagement and wedding photos and they all turned out beautiful. He made the entire process extremely easy and FUN! He was extremely personable and made you feel as if you all have been best friends for years and that's something I don't think you could get from many other wedding photographers. We could not have been happier with Erik and feel truly blessed to have been referred to him! We met with Erik based on a recommendation from a friend who used his services at her wedding about 8 years ago - so we knew he had been doing weddings for a long time - and we were immediately comfortable with his personality and demeanor. First of all, Erik is extremely responsive to emails and is very flexible about meeting times when we had to work around my husband's busy schedule. He does not pressure prospective clients to hire him and instead just lays out the pricing and what it involves in a way we thought was very professional. I was adamant about not wanting bridesmaid jumping pictures or other cutesy/trendy pictures that everyone likes to do, and he was totally on the same page which I appreciated - but he is very flexible to your wishes and will do whatever you want if you want those kind of pictures!

We got married in Charlottesville, so Erik traveled from Richmond to come to our rehearsal the night before and was at our wedding from noon, when we arrived at the venue and he immediately started taking pictures, until our send-off at 11 pm. Erik had a great attitude the entire time and he takes pictures constantly! We ended up with over 1900 pictures and we are so pleased with the quality and the quantity! Erik is also an incredible value because he gives you unlimited time and the rights to all your pictures. I would recommend him to anyone getting married in the area - he is great to work with and so pleasant to have around on the day of, he will capture every moment of your day, and he takes great pictures at a great price!

Erik was great! He did our engagement photos last December and our wedding this past December. He is great to work with- everyone has commented on how great he was! And our pictures are beautiful! And hes takes a LOT capturing everything during the day from getting ready to the exit. And you get the rights to all of the pictures to print your own/make your own photobook/etc. My biggest problem is deciding which ones I want to use because there are so many good ones to choose from!! We will definitely use Erik again one day!

I want to preface this review by saying if the website would allow me to give a 6/5 stars, I would have given it. The pictures were amazing, but the experience of working with him was more than we could ever wish for! He was professional at all times (even when dealing with my pushy family), patient, flexible, and always had ideas of great shots! We really feel like we got more than we paid for!!

The week leading up to my wedding was rainy and they were calling for a hurricane. I was so nervous about getting decent pictures with such horrible weather, but Erik reassured me by saying he had shot in the rain at my venue before and would look through his old shoots to find which locations and poses worked the best with the rain. And that was just the beginning of all he did to make my wedding day special and worry-free.

He showed up early to my rehearsal and made sure to go over a list of formal shots for the next day with me before the chaos began. From the start of the rehearsal until the end of the reception, he greeted me at every venue and went over a timeline with me. I never worried about every moment was being captured the way I wanted because I knew he was prepared than even I was.

My husband and I now have 2000+phenomenal images capturing the two best days of our lives filled with laughter, love, and dancing! If you are looking for a photographer who makes you feel comfortable, stress-free and enjoy yourself during photos, then you found him!

Erik was fantastic- I knew he would be as I've had many friends and acquaintances contract him to document their weddings. When my turn came, I moved my wedding date to suit his schedule because he was the one factor I knew I wanted there. Erik met with me and my fiancé multiple times prior to our day- one thing in particular that stood out to me was that he walked through my church with me and listened to what details I loved... the pictures that we took in the church are stunning and not your typical "church photos". He really listened and the product shows that! Erik also encouraged us to send him images that we wanted to capture and when the day came he had a list of exactly what we wanted... even though we had sent it to him months ago he got all the shots in. He was calm, professional and very unobtrusive in our day.

I did not use a wedding planner for my wedding as we were having the reception in my parent's back yard- Erik was a life saver in guiding our timeline, DJ selection and other important details... he even was the one to place my veil!

Erik is a fantastic, thoughtful and engaged professional- anyone would be lucky to have him as part of their day!

So if you can see in the rating we left 5 stars. I've known Eric for ahwile now, but recently got back intouch. He hesitate to what to help with the wedding. With most people and photography companies they you kinda feel like your working for them. Not the other way around. Instead he constantly was intouch worth any questions, stayed on top of the details. And when the day came he was very prompt "on time". And got to the event early enough to stop and formiliarize himself with the surroudings and asked what exactly we wanted. It wasnt like someone who just shows up, takes pictures and says "so i got some good pictures, whenever your ready ill just send you the ones i like that turned out well." We saw all the pictures and everyone loves em. As a fact, someone the next following week had asked for him to do their daughters wedding in the near future. The morning after my wedding, our wedding party could not stop raving about how amazing Erik is. And he was the absolute best - hands on, helping the groomsmen put on their boutonnieres, talking us through the cake cutting . . . even sweeping the stone patio before the bridal party went out for photos. Erik Leise is the ideal wedding photographer. He went above and beyond to capture every aspect of our July 18, 2015 wedding day perfectly. From attending our wedding rehearsal to get to know our wedding party and understand the order of the service, to making the portraits after the ceremony quick and easy, he made every effort to make us as comfortable as possible. The results of his thoughtful planning and photographing were phenomenal pictures that detailed the entire event from starting the rehearsal to exiting the reception. He was flexible with bridal party portraits when the hair and makeup took longer than expected. During the ceremony, Erik captured every detail and emotion while never getting in the way. At the reception, he managed to take pictures of all of our guests in action, as well as be available for any special group shots we wanted. I can honestly say that I received pictures that truly reflected the emotion and essence of my wedding day. There was not one moment that I looked for and could not find. I am exceedingly grateful for Erik's ability to capture our wedding so perfectly. Our family and friends were thrilled with the photos, too. In a world of wedding vendors who are ridiculously priced and don't always produce what they promise, Erik Leise photography provided exceptional service and produced quality photos at an extremely affordable cost. Erik Leise is an amazing and talented photographer! My husband and I felt incredibly comfortable with him the instant we met him and are so pleased with the photos he took to capture our day. There wasn't a single moment that Erik missed on our big day and he is also there for the rehearsal to capture those moments as well. We cannot say enough about how special these pictures are to us and how well they encompass our day. Erik's passion about photography allows him to capture the day in ways that no other photographer can. Some of the angles were simply amazing. I will use E. My daughter found Erik Leise via Wedding Wire and we all met with him. We loved him immediately as he is quick and energized and prepared. His portfolio had such intimate, special pictures that were not posed but "caught". His photography takes you from the beginning of your special day to the end. My daughter was very happy with her pictures, as were we. You rarely see Erik during the wedding, but he is shooting constantly. Somehow, he manages to stay in the background but he is working constantly. I highly recommend him for any occasion. The investment is very reasonable and the results are wonderful.

Erik is a very talented and experienced wedding photographer. From our first meeting, he was enthusiastic and professional. On the day of the event, he was not intrusive at all, but captured all of the moments that made the day memorable. He helped us with the timeline of the events and had a good working knowledge of how long different photo opportunities would take. We have a large family, and he accommodated all of our requests and was efficient with our time. The final edited images were beautiful and finished relatively quickly. His services are reasonably priced. Most of all, he was positive and friendly with everyone involved. He has a great attitude and seemed to genuinely enjoy what he was doing. I can not recommend Erik highly enough! He was extremely professional, flexible, fun to work with, and affordable. Our experience started with multiple planning skype conversations and emails. He quickly answered all our of questions. On the wedding day, he came early to scope out great places for shots at the venue. He listened to all of our requests and came up with many other wonderful shots. We enjoyed every moment working with him throughout the day. He did a great job organizing my large family for group shots. He completed all the edits for photos in 2 weeks. I can not stop looking at all of the amazing photos.

If you are looking for a professional who makes you feel comfortable, laugh and enjoy yourself during photos, then you found him! We had our engagement photos taken with Erik and it was a dream. Erik's presence and personality allowed us to relax and have fun during our session. He listened to my dream photo backgrounds and found places with limited allergens for me. It was hot and humid during our shoot but he worked fast to capture our photos and gave me down time to cool off in the AC of my car…

Update: I just had to update and review Erik! It rained all day on my wedding and let me tell you, it made him really work. He was so professional, dressed to the nines, no rain jacket and didn't worry about getting dirty. He found the one spot in the entire venue so I could have my first look outside. We got umbrellas and I was able to still do my first looks with my dad and my husband outside while it poured. He worked fast and made sure I stayed dried. Before I walked down the aisle, he gave me reassurance that I was still going to have the best day even if my ceremony plans changed. During the ceremony he was never in my site, he was fast with photos and did not interrupt the ceremony or was in my face like I have seen at my friend's wedding. While we were dried, he was soaking but he didn't let the rain stop him. I would give him requests of other photos and he made sure I got them sometime during the reception and that I didn't forget. I seriously feel like we didn't pay him enough for his hard work. He was there at the salon when we got ready, in the hotel room working away while I got my hair done and spent his time wisely. I know we will be calling him when we need more photos capture for anniversaries and family photos. I cannot say enough good things about this man. I don't know another person who would dedicate his time like that to ensure we got the best photos to capture our day.

If you want truly beautiful photos, use Erik. His photos are works of art. They aren't tacky, or overly posed, or trendy. His use of light and the natural environment and body movement is incredible. My husband and I used Erik for our wedding on April 25, 2015 in New Kent, Va. From the first email to the last picture, Erik was professional, kind, and so wonderful to work with. He was easy to contact prior to the wedding in the planning phases and always timely with his responses. On the day of the wedding Erik was there first thing until the last person left. He was flexible with our wishes and also very professional and directed us to what we needed to do and where we needed to be. We did a first look and all of our pictures prior to the ceremony which he captured beautifully. After the ceremony Erik captured our night without ever knowing he was there. The one word that comes to mind when I think about Erik's work is AMAZING! Simply amazing. We maintained constant email communication up until the wedding rehearsal where he showed up prompt and professional. We had a quick run down of how the wedding day would go and he went straight to work. Aside from taking pictures he also gave extremely helpful advice during the rehearsal and all his suggestions seemed to magically work out perfectly! That is where the compliments on my amazing photographer started but they definitely did not end there. Erik continued to impress when he showed up first thing the morning of the wedding, again ready to work. He took care of everything, and I do mean everything. From taking complete charge of the family portraits to showing my husband and I how to cut the cake, he was everywhere and seemed to know everything. It was a loooong day but Erik's energy level never decreased and he was there from the very beginning until the very, very end. Any time I speak to someone who attended my wedding they always mention how great my photographer was and I can only agree. Erik is amazing. He does the work of 5 photographers and I guarantee he will not disappoint.

Erik was ABSOLUTELY wonderful and I know that we could not have found a better photographer for our wedding! I couldn't have been more pleased with Erik's professionalism, enthusiasm and the excellent value of his wedding packages. Erik was there for me from the very beginning and quickly answered any questions I had. His wedding coverage includes the rehearsal and we had him come to our rehearsal dinner as well - it made everyone more comfortable with each other and we love that we have pictures of all the wedding festivities! Erik was absolutely fantastic! He is very flexible in his schedule and willing to do whatever you want. He suggested other vendors that I could use as well. He was a good point person to ask questions to in the beginning of my wedding planning process when I didn't necessarily know the right answers. He also helped us set up our timeline for the day and helped make sure everything was carried out in the way I envisioned. He is very knowledgeable about what settings and light will look best in your pictures. He came to our rehearsal dinner location to shoot the gifts and then made the photos at our rehearsal. You would never know he was there, but he is capturing every moment! On my wedding day, he showed up at the salon in the morning and stayed with us until midnight! His quite demeanor gets some very candid photos (which are nice to have later on)! He snapped hundreds of photos at our reception, but he made sure to keep his eyes on the bride and groom the whole night. I loved seeing all of our photos! Erik is amazing! He comes out to your rehearsal dinner to meet everyone and to get to know the bridal party. He is more then willing to help with anything you need when it comes to wedding planning and will offer his insights into anything you need if you ask him. He even helped us with the wedding day schedule. Erik arrived at 9 am on our wedding day and didn't leave until we left! If I could give Erik more stars, I would! He was fantastic from beginning to end. The value was exceptional but more importantly, he was amazingly fast, efficient, patient, and thorough! His attention to detail and his constant communication was exactly what I needed to put me at ease. As a Type-A person, I needed someone who could value attention to detail as much as I do! Aside from all of that, he is just a wonderful, wonderful guy! Very personable and friendly. Even the bridal party who left church on a party bus to take pictures before the cocktail hour said he was fast and very good. Erik is a perfect example of someone who loves their job and it shows in the work he produces. His personality and always positive attitude relieved tons of anxiety for my wife and me.

Finding a good photographer on top of a tight budget can be very cumbersome. Everyone knows weddings are extremely expensive so you try to alleviate the burden wherever you can. You try to find a good balance of cost and value. We reviewed lots of local photographers and eventually got introduced to Erik from a friend. He did not disappoint. From day one, his politeness, professional attitude and charisma immediately sold us. His portfolio was exceptional and his prices were extremely reasonable! It was a winning combination.

Working with Erik made it even better. He was awesome. He knew exactly where to be and captured literally every moment of our wedding. He took command when necessary and integrated seamlessly with our wedding service.

The best part about Erik’s service is that we are able to look at his photographers and relive every moment. There wasn’t a point when viewing our photographs where we wished we would have got more pictures of … And the final photo editing is superb.

I couldn’t be any more confident in my recommendation of his services. If you’re considering a wedding photographer, do yourself a favor and meet with Erik. He will not disappoint.

One of my biggest goals for my wedding was to keep things personal and sentimental; Erik really fit the bill and I wouldn't have picked any other photographer. We had a small, casual wedding in the backyard and from the beginning Erik understood where we were coming from in terms of vision. He offered great suggestions for vendors and coordinating a timeline for the big day, which can be daunting when you don't have a wedding venue to determine all of those decisions for you. The photos are absolutely gorgeous and we received a digital slideshow within a week of the wedding day. I've known Erik for many years and always knew I wanted him to be the photographer at my wedding. When the day finally came, he was better than I could have ever expected. I chose Erik Leise for our wedding photography based on several personal outstanding reviews. We met with him to go over his prices and see some of his portfolio of work on past weddings and were very happy. Erik is a really nice guy, easy to get along with and talk to, and his pictures are really impressive. I especially loved how he seemed to get a lot of candid "action" shots in addition to the traditional posed shots of family and friends right after the wedding.

Erik was extremely organized and got the posed shots after the ceremony done in less than 30 minutes so we could get back to the party! Once at the reception he was in the background taking literally a million pictures. Neither my husband nor I are very photogenic, but he captured some wonderful pictures of the two of us. I think when it was all said and done there were 1600 photos. He got the photos back to us right away, and now I have the difficult decision of narrowing done which ones I want made into an album because there are so many I really love. However, he gives you the rights to all of the photos, so I can print out all the ones I love for family and friends on my own time too.

I am really glad we chose Erik as our photography vendor. We were very pleased with the quality of his service and the value of the package. My sister just got engaged and we are using him for her wedding as well! Two thumbs way up =)

I was so pleased with every aspect of Erik's photography. You never even realized he was there. He captured so many moments that I never even saw at the wedding. There is absolutely no need for a videographer when you use him. His artistic photographic skills set him apart from the older more established photography businesses in the area. You will definitely be impressed with him!

Erik Leise was a wonderful photographer for our son and daughter-by-marriage. Even a year later when we look at the photos, we are struck by the beauty he captured on what looked like an otherwise rainy day. The wedding was supposed to be outdoors, and even though it got moved inside, we still have quite a number of outdoor photos which is amazing. You would never know the weather looked gloomy from the stunning pictures we have to remember this special day.

One of the things that amazed me the most about Erik, beside his gentle spirit and overall kindness was the fact that he seemed almost invisible the day of the wedding. After the wedding when we were able to view the beautiful photos that chronicled the event (and there were A LOT!), I'm not sure how he took so many when I never really noticed him. I have been to many weddings where the photographer is dictating the flow of the event, instead of just capturing it, and Erik Leise is not one those types of photographers. He is humble, generous, and very talented!

Although I don't have any more children to marry off, I look forward to using Erik for some other events!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer that will capture the emotion and love that surrounds your special day and provide you great value for your investment, Erik Leise is the #1 choice. My daughter Cara was married on February 9, 2013, and as I look through the wedding photos yet again several months later, I just cannot believe all of the amazing images Erik captured from each moment of Cara and Brady’s journey through their wedding weekend. Erik was very thorough in his preparation and took full ownership of the organization and execution of the photography, so that I could focus on my daughter and other planning needs. Erik is a wonderful person, so much fun to work with, and truly has an eye for seeing what would make a beautiful emotion-provoking image. Each time I look at my daughter’s wedding photos, I can feel the happiness of her special day. Thanks Erik!!

All I can say is...ERIK IS INCREDIBLE!!!! He was very knowledgable, walking my husband and I through the entire process, even offering (much needed) assistance during the planning process. He is such a professional that you won't even realize he's at your wedding. Seriously, he's not "that" photographer who gets in the way of personal pictures or view of the ceremony or other events of the night. He takes phenomenal shots that you'll be surprised to know that he caught. He even took extra time to showcase my blue Betsy Johnsons!! Besides these important points, Erik is a really good person, (you can just tell!) and you'll be glad to share your day with a guy who is so caring and cheerful (even after 10+ hours on the job). I am truly impressed and grateful for his guidance and professionalism, and would like all of you to know that we HIGHLY RECOMMEND him.

Leise did an AMAZING job documenting all of the special moments from our rehearsal, morning on the wedding, wedding and reception. Leise was so helpful in making sure the pictures went smoothly and that my hubby and I did not see each other before the wedding! He is so much fun to work with and makes everyone feel comfortable. During the months of wedding planning my fiance kept saying how much he was dreading all the pictures, after the wedding he said "the pictures didnt take long at all! Leise was great, even the groomsmen had fun with photos!"
Our online gallery was posted when we got home from our honeymoon and I can't put into words how beautiful these pictures turned out! I have had several of my friends ask me (after looking at the gallery) how many photographers we had and they didnt believe me when I told them just one, they couldn't stop talking about how he captured so many different angles. It was so fun seeing all the pictures from the reception, when my dad looked through the gallery he said "Man, that photographer is sneaky, I could barely tell he was there but still he has all of these shots of dancing!".
I could not imagine using anyone else to document the best day of my life. Thanks Erik!!!!

Erik is amazing! He photographed our rehearsal, getting ready, ceremony, and reception. He has a wonderful, calming presence that really helped me on such a stressful day. I found his pricing incredibly reasonable, but you would never know from the quality of his photographs - they are just beautiful! I really can't say enough good things about him. Beautiful photographs, wonderful demeanor, a true professional. I highly recommend him!

Eric did an outstanding job with my daughter's wedding. His creative and professional approach were evident from the session for a bridal portrait through the last minute of the wedding reception. We now have truly lovely pictures that tell the story of a beautiful day for our family!

I must say how AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL our pictures came out on our wedding day!!! He was the BOMB.COM....all hands down!!! Erik professionalism, great spirit and understanding was absolutely wonderful. He captured moments that I didn't see on our wedding day and I was so thankful for him catching every moment from the beginning to the end. He did such a wonderful job for my sister's wedding in 2006, I couldn't resist from using him for my special day in 2012. That really speaks of his standards, professionalism and character that never change since then. I really appreciate everything you have done for us and for being apart of our special day. E Leise Photo Design was a wonderful and stress-free experience on my wedding day! Erik was flexible and took care of all the minor details. He allowed us to pick whichever shots and backgrounds we had in mind, including going to sites away from the church/reception, and had a perfect eye for capturing the emotions and beauty of the day. He was great at balancing efficiency with care to detail. I couldn't be happier with the wedding photos. You will not be disappointed!

I am very happy we chose Erik to be our photographer for our wedding day! He is professional, fun, and very easy to work with. Our engagement photos were beautiful and unique and I can't wait to see our wedding pictures. He captured soo many special moments at my Rehearsal then for our big day while we were getting ready, at the church, and at the reception! His packages are very affordable as well. We interviewed a few photographers who we loved, but their prices were so high they would have totally blown our budget. Just when we thought we were going to have to try to "make it work," we found Erik - and thank goodness! He was wonderful! Nice and kind - he got to know us without being overly involved. His package was SO affordable: he attended the rehearsal (some of our favorite pictures were from that), and then spent nearly twelve hours with us. He was EVERYWHERE, and got the best pictures of our day - without anyone even noticing him. In fact, he was so professional and fantastic that after the wedding, I was worried I wouldn't get the pictures I had hoped for because I couldn't remember him being around. When the photo proofs arrived - TWO WEEKS AFTER THE WEDDING - I realized he had gotten all of those pictures and more. Even the posed pictures are wonderful! We had so much fun looking at the pictures, and all of our friends loved them too. You simply will not be disappointed with Erik, and I will be strongly suggesting him to all of our friends!
