Mary Sent on 10/02/2018I have always been a Dutch Kitchen lover, but my most recent experience is one worth mentioning. We hired them for wedding cupcakes and I cannot put into words how happy we are with the service. We ordered 250 cupcakes, with about 6 different flavors, along with a cutting cake and they delivered all the way to Gloucester, MA! Everyone absolutely RAVED about how delicious the cupcakes were!!! I will forever recommend this place and I will continue going here for all my cake needs!!!

Sarah Sent on 10/04/2008Mary at the Dutch Kitchen was great. She worked with us to bring our cake over an hour to the ceremony site. We love their cakes. I recommend the vanilla poundcake with strawberries and buttercream frosting. Our guests raved about the cake both in taste and apperance. She was very willing to accommodate our preferences and worked well with our florist and reception coordinator to make the cake table look beautiful. -

Katherine Sent on 10/29/2013We used Dutch Kitchen to make a cutting cake for the two of us (basically one that would serve the two of us as well as 30 people) and a sheet cake for 80. We had a wedding size of 120, and assuming not everyone would eat cake we figured we would go with those size cakes. We didn't even need the cutting cake! The sheet cake for 80 served that guest count, and we ended up taking our entire 6" top/10" bottom cake home, minus the piece we actually cut out! We're definitely not complaining about that, we LOVED the flavor of our cake and had dessert every night of our two-week honeymoon! :-)
If you've never had a Dutch Kitchen cake with their homemade buttercream frosting, you haven't lived! It's SO delicious, and we would highly recommend it for wedding cakes or even birthday cakes and cupcakes! The cake itself is moist and rich, and if you store it in the correct containers, it will last a while!
In addition to the taste, we loved the service. We found a picture of a wedding cake on Pinterest and they replicated it for us, no problem! it looks identical! They also delivered the cake on time and set our cake topper on top.
While we loved Dutch Kitchen, neither of us agree with the value. Our cakes were fairly expensive, especially for the Fitchburg area. Our cutting cake (6" round top and 10" round bottom) had a simple design and was $150. They sell their basic 10" birthday cake with more designs and piping for less than half of that price. Even our sheet cake for 80 people, with no design, was $150. We tried to negotiate on that price, but they wouldn't budge.
