Wedding 5/6/2022

We started planning our wedding in August 2020 in the middle of the pandemic and initially met with Lynn. She made us feel like she was genuinely interested in helping us create our day. Lynn helped us with most of the planning and recently left the resort in February. My husband and I called Lynn the night she left and she reassured us that the team would still deliver our expectations. Shortly after Lynn left, we met with Kaitlin, who is now one of the coordinators at the resort and she made us feel as comfortable and confident with our decisions and planning as Lynn had. Our wedding day was phenomenal and Kaitlin worked seamlessly to provide us with a beautiful and amazing day. She worked well with our vendors and made sure the day was about us. We kept hearing that the bride and groom don’t spend much time during the wedding-however, Kaitlin and the team made sure everything was handled perfectly and we were together the whole night. We can’t say enough good things about our day and the care the team put into our day and time together. Dunham’s Bay went well above and beyond any of our expectations and matched our thoughts and ideas for our day perfectly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Lake George Wedding

After looking endlessly all over lake George for the perfect wedding venue, we chose Dunham’s! It was a roller coaster of emotions but EVERYTHING came together in the most perfect way! A personalized food tasting was one of our best moments, compliments to Chef Michael! Matt, Kaitlin, and Ashley answered every single question we had (and we had a lot lol) and answered promptly and honestly! We are from Long Island so planing a wedding 4 hours away had its challenges! But Dunham’s made it all possible - they made our lake wedding come to life and our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have been to! Thank you to the Dunham’s team! See you again soon!

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!

Dunham’s bay was nothing short of incredible! The whole staff was absolutely amazing, we can’t thank everyone enough.
Our wedding coordinator, Kaitlin, was an absolute rockstar. It started down-pouring during the reception and the water started to pile up in certain areas of the tent roof, but she came with a pole and was fixing all the flooding herself (and getting drenched in the process!) She was constantly checking in on my husband and I throughout the day making sure we were okay. It’s obvious she loves what she does and we can’t thank her enough for all she did for us throughout this whole process.
Our suite was so spacious and perfect for us girls getting ready in the morning. We had plenty of room to have a makeup artist and hair stylist come in and also 6-7 other girls in the room. Everyone at the venue was just super friendly and excited for us, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue.
We heard from several friends and family that the staff was amazing as well. Thank you Dunham’s bay!!!!

Absolutely PERFECT wedding day!! :)

From the moment we met Lynn for our tour, we knew this place was different - in an amazing way. We looked at 12 venues and Dunham's Bay was our last tour. I almost cancelled the tour and I am SO glad that I didn't. Lynn took so much time to get to know us and what we were looking for in a wedding. She is the only host that sat with us like she had all the time in the world to talk to us. And that was all before we decided this was the place for us! Lynn was there every step of the way, guided us through the whole process, and answered all of our (million) questions. When we checked in the day before the wedding - I had a complete anxiety breakdown - as soon as I saw Lynn, she eased all of my stress about our wedding day within minutes. She is a bride whisperer! And of course the wedding day - completely flawless. Shout out to the ENTIRE Dunham's Bay team - just wow. I don't even have words. It was clear how hard they worked and how experienced everyone was. Every piece of food was amazing - special thanks to Chef. Our signature drinks were incredible - thanks Jack! Every moment of the night played out perfectly, from the ceremony to the sparkler send off and it's all thanks to this team. Lynn, I appreciate you so much and everything you did for us. My entire family made comments afterwards about how hard you worked and how wonderful everything turned out. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone and everyone. Perfect day. We will definitely be returning :)

Dunham’s Bay

There isn’t one detail that was overlooked by Lynn and her team. They even provided us with things we hadn’t thought of. Everything went off without a hitch! I would do it all over again there in a heartbeat. From our very first meeting with Lynn, we knew we weren’t looking anywhere else. Absolutely overjoyed by her and her wonderful teams hard work. It was as if they were doing it for their own family member. We will be spending all of our anniversaries and many vacations there in the future. ❤️

Amazing wedding team

My husband and I had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and we ended up redoing everything. Right from the beginning Lynn had our back and made sure we kept focusing on us and what we wanted for our day. We had a wedding weekend July 4th and all of our friends and family got to stay at the property all weekend which we loved the most. On the wedding day, Lynn and her team were incredible making sure us and our guests had the best time. All of the special touches the last dance alone, appetizers and drinks alone after the ceremony, sparkler exit etc were so amazing for us to have. The food was excellent and our family can’t stop raving still almost 6 months later how wonderful it was. Dunhams Bay is a wonderful wedding venue and can’t beat the lake view!!

The best day!

Dunham’s Bay was the perfect place for our wedding! Our ceremony was overlooking the lake which was exactly what I wanted. From the very beginning Lynn took the time to get to know us and what we wanted for our wedding. Even when we had to postpone our wedding due to covid, Lynn was always there to answer any questions we had. Lynn and her staff are amazing! The set up of the ceremony and reception was exactly what I had envisioned and the food was outstanding! Our wedding our guests still talked about how great the food was and what a great time they had after the wedding. We couldn’t have picked a better place to get married. We cannot thank Lynn and her staff enough for making our day so perfect! Highly recommend Dunham’s Bay Resort!

Perfection on the Lake

We cannot say enough amazing things about this venue and their staff. We knew from the moment we met Lynn that this was where we wanted to hold our wedding. Lynn as a wedding coordinator was fabulous. Lynn and all of her staff went above and beyond to make sure we would remember our wedding day forever. From the start of the planning, Lynn was always available by email and phone to help us find any other vendors we needed, coordinating the outside vendor’s needs all the way through the event, helping us work out all of the small details that come up, and making everything as stress free as possible. The food was delicious and the menu that the staff helped us plan for our wedding day had something everyone to enjoy. Our wedding day ran perfectly all thanks to the staffs well planned coordination and perfect handling of all of our outside vendors needs. This place has amazing views for the wedding ceremony and a first look, if one is scheduled. It is an amazing location to hold a wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Amazing place to have your dream wedding

We had our wedding at Dunham's Bay Resort back in August. Lynn and Dunham's Bay were so flexible and understanding about everything!! We had to postpone our wedding a year due to COVID and everything was transitioned to the new date. We ordered bulk flowers and Lynn and her amazing staff received them and put them in our cabin without issues. Dunham's Bay has multiple locations to choose from for ceremony and reception. This allows for multiple photo locations as well.
As the Bride Lynn was the best in making sure everything went smoothly and efficiently. I knew everything would be great because of Lynn, so I was able to relax. All family and friends could not stop raving about how beautiful and fun our wedding was.

Best day ever

Can't ask for more!!

If anyone has had a wedding here you will 100% say Lynn was the main factor!! She goes out of her way to make sure everything is and will run smoothly. She will walk you thru the entire process and that was helpful being 5 hours away
Besides Lynn the beautiful rustic look of stepping back in time and amazing food choices!! I had so many compliments on the food the chief's really phenomenal! Im still waiting on some pictures but will add more. Thank you for making our wedding the best day of our lives!!

Exceptional venue!

Our daughter’s wedding was held at Dunham’s Bay in 9/18/21. Absolutely wonderful from the welcome dinner for our guests to the buffet breakfast the morning after the wedding!
A huge shoutout thank you to Lynn Clausen, the coordinator! She did an awesome job with every detail! Can’t say enough good about her. Lynn and Dunham’s Bay did an awesome job keeping events safely outside!

Incredible!!

We picked this place based on our conversation with Lynn, where she described how our wedding day would go. It was filled with little moments for us, and it was immediately apparent how much she cares for her couples and their big day.

Our plans changed a couple times (the first due to COVID, the second due to personal circumstances) but they were just as accommodating. We have the most gorgeous photos on the patio, and had the best time. She even recommended some of our vendors, and all of them were just as wonderful. We also utilized the space across the street (you can use it for a $40 fee, and honestly it was worth it) to take first loom photos. They were just as romantic and beautiful as I had envisioned for photos!

The food was delicious, too! So much flavor in each dish, and very filling! Everyone raved about their meals. I would also like to shout out the groundskeeper who helped us open a bottle of champagne when we were struggling!

We looked at so many places, but we know without a doubt this was the right place for us!

Simply the best!!!

We knew as soon as we met Lynn that Dunham’s Bay Resort was where we wanted to get married. She took the time to get to know us and led the way in creating exactly what we wanted our wedding to be. Combine her knowledge and skills with the excellent food and you end up with nothing short of perfection! While we did not get the wedding in the woods as originally planned thanks to the weather not cooperating, we had a beautiful ceremony at our back up indoor location onsite with a great view of the lake and a party in the tent afterwards that provided us and our guests with nothing but the absolute best memories! Thank you Lynn and all the staff at Dunham’s Bay Resort for making our wedding even better than we had imagined.

Accommodating

Lynn and her team at Dunham's Bay were our first pick for our wedding but unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we were forced to cancel our special day at Dunham's Bay. From the first day we met, Lynn made us feel like family and we were heartbroken when we had to cancel our wedding. We would recommend Dunham's Bay not only because the venue is beautiful and the food is delicious, but because Lynn and her team make Dunham's Bay much more than just any other venue. The absolute best!

I can't even to begin to describe how amazing our wedding at Dunham's was and that can be accredited to Lynn and her staff. I knew from our very first visit with Lynn as we were looking for a venue we found our location. The first question she asked us was "what's most important to you on your wedding day?" It totally took me off guard because organizers at other venues barely spoke to us beyond going through menus and prices. I could tell right then and there that her attention to detail and passion for what she did was what was going to make this the wedding of our dreams.

When it came to the big day, Lynn and her team did everything. Checked in during the day as we got ready to make sure her staff had everything set up exactly how I envisioned it, helped the flow of guests from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception to even decorating our room beautifully before we made our way back to our cabin at the end of the night.. literally everything above and beyond. I tend to be a worry wart and was worried that there were going to be hiccups because I didn't think of everything but nope. There was none of that. The only thing I had to worry about was having fun! It was worth every single penny. If you are considering Dunham's Bay, look no further. You will NOT be disappointed in any way.

5 Stars!!!!!

Where do I begin?! Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting us on our selection of the venue. Everything from the food to the staff to the decor and ambiance of our entire weekend was perfect. The day went better than we ever could’ve imagined. The patio ceremony is gorgeous, the pool cocktail hour is cozy, the reception under the tent is beautiful and the fire pit is icing on the cake!
Dunhams Bay Resort has tons of space which really helps make your wedding unique. We monopolized the whole place! We had a welcome dinner in the downstairs bar the day before, used 3 different spaces for the day of the wedding and then brunch in the upstairs restaurant the next day. Not to mention that there was something for our guests to do all weekend between swimming, bocci courts and the fire pit.
The service...was...impeccable! I can’t say enough good things about all of the staff. Throughout the year-long wedding process, they were there to help answer any questions and get in touch with people if we needed them too. They made the weekend of our wedding flawless. Our guests literally went out of their way to tell us how fantastic the staff was. Special thank you to Lynn who helped us every step of the way and then some! She really went above and beyond.
I would recommend DBR 100% for your wedding, a hidden gem in Lake George. It’s private, spacious, great ambiance and fantastic staff...they focus on YOU all weekend. Absolutely the best. Couldn’t imagine my wedding anywhere else!

Dunham's Bay and Lynn had us at hello!

From the first time we met with Lynn she made us feel very confident about our special day being perfect and that is exactly what she did. From planning to food tasting to table charts to arriving at Dunham's Bay right to the sparkler send off she was right there to assure we were 100% satisfied. I would highly recommend sharing your big day with Lynn and Dunham's Bay and make sure your guests get rooms to stay and enjoy the fire pit and some of the best pizza ever!

Dunhams Bay Bends Over Backwards!

We were absolutely blown away by our entire experience at Dunhams Bay. From the food to the staff to all of the accommodations, everything was perfect. A huge shout out to Lynn who is absolutely incredible! We could not thank her enough for her attention to detail and making the day run as smoothly as possible. She never missed a beat! Total package

Where do I even start... Lynn! That’s where it all began. With a mimosa and coffee during our lake side consultation. She described a wedding by the lake with a sparkler send off and fire pit after party... and she got my husband excited about the details of it all. And that’s when we knew we were in the right place. From the beginning to end, Lynn grew from our coordinator to one of our favorite friends. She never missed a detail, offered me suggestions tailored to my personality, offered me a shot right before the ceremony, danced with me at my wedding, and even assured my brother-in-law with Down Syndrome had an entire pot of gluten free pasta just to his liking. She didn’t miss a BEAT.

Dunham’s was where we got married, but it became a home to us. We would stop in when we were in town for a drink, and the bartender knew us by name. The whole experience was flawless. You can’t find hospitality, or love, like you can at Dunham’s.

Absolutely Perfect 💚

When they say Dunham’s Bay is a hidden gem... they arent kidding! We were looking for a venue that had both of our favorite things, water and woods. Dunham’s Bay was the total package! Beautiful lake front view for our ceremony, great air conditioned reception inside, and ended the night out back relaxing by the fire pit with our family and friends 💚 The atmosphere is completely relaxing and chill, yet beautiful and elegant all at the same time. Lynn (the wedding planner) and all of her staff were incredible! She totally got the vision that I had, and she made it come to life! Every little detail was taken care of, which made our day completely stress free and amazing!
The food there was to die for! We did buffet style which allowed our guests to enjoy many different options from grilled swordfish, Caribbean jerk chicken and a top sirloin carving station! Those were just the ones we chose... so many others for you to pick from! In addition, there was a pasta station with a choice of 3 different sauces! From the appetizers, to entrees and everything in between... perfection!
Like I mentioned before, the staff there is incredible! Super friendly and fun! It was one of the hottest days this year, and the smiles never left their faces! Lynn and some of the ladies even joined us on the dance floor for a bit 🙂 The bartender was great as well! Our guests never had an empty hand!
Lastly, the rooms and cabins. Clean, spacious and cozy as heck! Yes, it’s an older building, but that’s what made it perfect for us! It gives you the “Dirty Dancing” vibe that I loved so much! The staff does a wonderful job with keeping up on the grounds and cleanliness! When we got back to our cabin at the end of the night, Lynn and her staff had set up a nice surprise in our room 😊
We would not have had our perfect wedding anywhere else... this is a truly magical place that we will continue to visit for years to come!

Being a parent I wanted to give credit where credit is due. I was so impressed with the venue and Lynn who orchestrated the perfect wedding for my son and his new bride. Lynn, the general manager was amazing, as well as her staff. She was organized, thorough, professional, and calm. The rehearsal dinner to the wedding reception was so organized. It was such a smooth transition from beginning to end. The wedding was beautiful. It was outside and we could see Lake George while listening to the beautiful music that played (cello, violin, flute). Following the wedding we had cocktails and appetizers while listening to acoustic guitars. There were a variety of appetizers and the staff was amazing and made sure that everyone was was being taken care of. Then it was time for the reception! Absolutely wonderful. The band was great, the food was great, and I cannot say enough good things about Lynn and her staff who made this amazing day the best day that it could possibly be!! This venue was great. Lynn and her staff made this day very special. It was elegant and unique thanks to Lynn and her staff!!

Dunham’s Bay Resort was the perfect venue for Jason and I, we loved Lynn ( our certified wedding planner) from start to finish! Lynn did an incredible job assisting with planning our wedding, this woman went above and beyond our expectations! A bartender was out for our rehearsal dinner, she tended bar for us, our grandparents had difficulty walking, she drove our grandparents to the reception on a golf cart, we lost our room key, she made up a spare key right away, she booked my husband’s lazer tag bachelor hangout for all the groomsmen, she made sure we got our sunset photos on the lake and worked closely with our photographer to find all the beautiful photography spots around the venue, she made sure we had “alone time” soaking in being married right after our ceremony and she even decorated our beautiful bridal suite cabin on our marriage night, She accomplished everything we wanted in our dream wedding and more! We are beyond happy with Lynn from Dunhams bay and plan to visit Dunhams bay for our first wedding anniversaries :)

Our daughter had her wedding at Dunham's Bay Resort this past weekend. Lynn Clausen and her staff were exceptional at every stage of the wedding process, from booking, to food tasting, to assisting family with reservations, to providing advice and assistance to our daughter in her planning, and most importantly, on the actual weekend of the wedding. Lynn and her staff are very experienced, and remained calm, flexible and helpful all during our weekend. Lynn coordinated the arrival of all vendors, made sure the setup was as we wanted it, and was on the spot to answer any questions at a moment's notice. She seemed to have contingencies for everything - from a crochet hook to get the wedding dress bustle hooked, to pulling in favors from friends to deliver the sparklers we had neglected to bring (an ending our daughter had talked about for a year.) She made it happen anyway, and our daughter and son in law had the night they dreamed of! I have never seen them look so happy! Thank you Lynn, Katie and the rest of the team for making our weekend so special!

Dunhams bay was amazing. The moment we met Lynn we knew that this was the place for us. She made sure every thing went perfect and I can't thank her enough for all she did for us. Lynn is their event planner and she is amazing: from start to finish. My husband wanted this venue, and I wanted something less expensive. I WAS so wrong and he chose the perfect team. I cannot day enough about Lynn and her knowledge. If you book off season, they close the restaurant to the public and you have an extremely large space (first and second floors) as well as all cabins/rooms reserved for your event.

I am being 100% honest when I say that my wedding and experience with Dunham’s Bay Resort was perfect! I thought that it would be so difficult to plan a NY wedding while living in Florida, but Lynn made it so incredibly easy. All I had to do was tell her what I wanted and it was done. We had an outdoor ceremony on the terrace (amazing view, btw) and had the reception under the tent. We were allowed to have our two dogs in the ceremony and we could decorate the tent however we wanted it. The value for this place was also incredible! Lynn also helped me pick the florist, videographer, and officiant, all who have worked with DBR in the past a knew how things worked there. If you want a beautiful, scenic wedding and are working long distance, this is the venue for you.

Our daughter, Lauren, had the most beautiful wedding at the Resort June 29, 2018. The venue is lovely, right on a secluded bay on Lake George, with a spectacular view. The food was excellent, the accommodations great, and it is a kid-friendly place with indoor heated pool, outdoor games and playground, and access to the beach across the road. The reception tent is roomy, with a solid floor-not grass.
The best aspect of the Resort was the wedding coordinator, Lynn. She impressed us from our first meeting, saying that her aim was to make sure everyone, especially the bridal party and family, enjoy the event. Boy, did she deliver! She took care of everything, from the small details like place cards and table numbers to taking all through the ceremony and putting everyone at ease. If something was needed, she was there to get it. The whole wedding ran smoothly because of her, and we all did enjoy ourselves immensely. She is a valued staff member of the Resort, and we can't recommend her highly enough!

If you are looking for the best venue in Lake George, you found it! From the moment that my husband and I stepped foot in Dunham's Bay we knew we would be getting married here. It is the perfect mix of elegance with the adirondack charm of Lake George. How can you turn down the beautiful back drop of the lake and mountains?! As if that wasn't enough, you get a wedding coordinator included with your package, Lynn. I don't have enough words to describe how wonderful Lynn is. She is always thinking two steps ahead to make sure your day is perfect, and if something doesn't go quite right, she makes sure she resolves the issue before you can even blink. (It will just be something to laugh about later). She truly was my guardian angel during the whole planning process. Any question, concern, or worry she had an answer or solution to. She makes your day flawless. She goes above and beyond. My dad lost his cufflink and she searched the premise for it, a few days following my wedding she called us to say she had found it. She truly is the best. The entire staff at Dunham's Bay is so professional, friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like your wedding is number one to them. All my guests raved about the food, it was absolutely delicious. We loved that there were cabins and hotel rooms for our guests to stay, so we never had to worry about anyone needing a place to sleep for the night. Hanging out around the bonfire at the end of the evening is the cherry on top. There is nothing better then being surrounded by your friends and family reminiscing on your perfect day. My husband and I, our family, and friends would recommend Lynn, the Dunham's Bay staff, and Dunham's Bay Resort to anyone who is looking for a perfect place to have their wedding.

The whole staff at Dunham’s Bay Resort in Laake George were beyond helpful during the wedding planning process, all the way through the Big Day. My husband and I wanted a relaxed experience and the daunting wedding planning process went seamlessly with the help of th venue. The fact that they gave an all inclusive price for so many pieces of the wedding helped us enjoy our day rather than worrying about the details. Our guests are still raving about the food, friendly and accommodating staff and how much fun they had at our wedding. We will definitely be back and recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have an amazing time and not have to sweat the small stuff!

Lynn and the staff at Dunhams Bay made our winter wedding so beautiful and easy. We had our wedding here on 2/2/18 and everything ran completly on shedule and was my wedding day was the least stressful day of the whole wedding experience. Everyone there is very accomdating and professional and my family and friends had a great time. The cabins they provide for rental for guests are awesome in that everyone had their own little “apartment” style space to stay in, which my family got a kick out of. The cabins defiantly give you a “at a camp at the lake” feel which we loved. The pictures from the wedding will look stunning with the lake in the background. Bravo to coordinator Lynn and her staff for running such a tight ship.

I can’t say enough great things about our wedding at Dunham’s Bay. First and foremost working with Lynn to plan the big day was a breeze and she makes the whole day about what YOU want. Second, the food was out of this world and third the view was amazing. There aren't enough words to describe the appreciation that we have for Lynn and her team at Dunham's Bay. Because of them, our day was perfect, relaxed and so much fun. My husband and I both knew as soon as we saw Dubhams Bay that we wanted to hold our reception there. We met jack the bar tender who took care of us like we were family. We met Lynn who completely worked with us and helped us keep our day simple and special. She has amazing ideas and worked with us every step of the way. Brad the chef is a God! The food was absolute phenomenal. Our day came off with only a few mishaps, but Lynn and her staff were right there to get us through. We will go back for our anniversaries as the whole staff at Dunhams is wonderful!

Lynn and her staff at Dunham’s Bay were spectacular. After considering several Lake George area venues, we met with Lynn and discussed what we would like our special day to be like. Of all the places we went and people we spoke with, Lynn was the most professional. We made our decision to go with Dunham's Bay in the spring of 2016 for our February 2017 wedding. We communicated throughout the rest of the year and she helped us pick out other vendors that were equally as wonderful. After attending a handful of weddings since ours, we are so thankful Lynn was there to not only help plan out the event, but see it through on the day. Lynn told us our only job on our day was to have fun and she would take care of the rest. She kept her promise and we will be eternally grateful for that.

We had our wedding at Dunhams Bay a month ago. We knew from the moment we sat down to talk with Lynn and tour the property that it was where we wanted to get married!! Lynn made it so easy to plan our wedding from 800 miles away! Our day was amazing, the food was so fresh and delicious, Jack the bartender was a personable, as he always is. The rest of the staff was so friendly and made our day wonderful! Our guests all told us it was the best wedding they've been to. The weather was perfect (as promised by Lynn - apparently her and Mother Nature must be best friends). Our outside ceremony and reception was perfect. Dunhams's Bay is so lucky to have Lynn and all of the staff that makes your special day stress free and perfect! �

If you're looking for the perfect location to hold your wedding, then look no further! My husband and I got married this past June, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more! Lynn, our wedding coordinator, was our Fairy Godmother of the day. She made everything - leading up to the day and on the day - easy. The food was delicious, the ambiance was romantic, we had a beautiful back drop. Lynn and the rest of the staff were professional and accommodating and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Dunham's Bay is the perfect balance of rustic and elegance. The selling point for us was that there were cabins on the premises (for our wedding party and guests), as well as a fire pit. It was so wonderful to have all of our friends and family sit around a campfire and relax after the festivities of the Rehearsal Dinner and the Wedding. Dunham's Bay is in such an ideal location, that all of our guests who traveled from afar got in a lot of sight seeing before the ceremony ! My husband and I, and our entire family, would recommend Lynn, her staff, and Dunham's Bay to anyone who is looking for a beautiful place to have their wedding and to make wonderful memories for the years to come.

I really cannot say enough about the experience that Dunhams Bay gave us on our wedding day. We live about 5 hours away and despite the distance it really could not have been easier. There are so many wonderful venue options around the lake but Dunhams Bay had the feel we were looking for. Lynn is amazing. She's always had prompt answers to my many long emails throughout planning. We were dodging the weather pretty much the entire day but she was great at doing everything she could to get us our lakeside ceremony. She and the staff did a perfect job at arranging all of our details in creative ways that turned things that we had be working on for months into surprises throughout the day. During the cocktail hour she brought us our own set of appetizers and drinks to enjoy quietly together before joining our guests at the pool. Everything operated so smoothly we didn't have to worry about anything else but enjoying our celebration. any cards that were given to us by guests during the reception we're promptly and safely placed in our cabin. The staff was great at making sure that we were eating and well beverage throughout visiting our guests. The food was AMAZING. Doug and I couldn't pick just one of our three options and asked if we could have a medley of all three. Best decision. We even got to eat most of it. The dessert bar and brownie tower were delicious. Lynn coordinated with the dj to play just beyond our allotted time for the rain to pass before our sparkler exit. Our guests enjoyed the fire pit and s'mores afterwards (and the night after). The accommodations aren't fancy but clean and very comfortable. We loved planning our wedding with Dunhams Bay and Lynn and all the the things they did above and beyond to make it amazingly special.

Hats off to Lynn Clausen and her whole staff ..The love for her job and her staff truly showed constantly in everything they all did for all of us ..the wedding was held on the patio over looking the lake with the mountains in the background ..it started to sprinkle when suddenly Lynn n her assistant Diane came scurrying out of no where with umbrellas.. Or me fussing with my heels. And Diane on her knees to put band aids where the straps were bothering my feet. Just amazing. To chef Mark the food was fabulous freshly made and beautifully presented ..The rooms and new cabins so clean and well done.. I strongly advise If you go up to leaf peep or summer vacation rent a cabin they have 2 separate bedrooms n 2 separate bathrooms kit living room for 2 more to sleep dinet just perfect..To Tom who would use the golf cart to cart my motherinlaw around the grounds for what ever reason even Matthew would share ,,Anthony at the ready at the front desk and golf cart ,,, Also Robin whom kept the rooms clean ,,, Forgive me if I missed anyone.. Lynn also got us in touch with another hotel. And shuttle bus for other guest to come and go for the wedding .. Guiding us to a little grocery store for provisions. They didn't have to do that since once you park you have everything there . Lynn can't thank you enough for all you and your staff did for us and our guest. WE WILL BE BACK !!! Ps we looked at 3 other places they just handed us paper work and a video to look at 15 mins Lynn Walked us around for 2hrs ...

Lynn and Dyan went above and beyond in making our big day everything we could have ever hoped for! This venue is perfect for an outdoor ceremony with a gorgeous backdrop. The inside banquet hall was absolutely perfect and we are still having guests tell us how much they enjoyed the food. I cannot imagine having my wedding anywhere else! :)

We are so happy that we chose Dunham's Bay for our wedding and reception. Lynn, Dyann, and the rest of the staff is just amazing. They are very knowledgable and genuinely committed to helping you attain your wedding vision. They include a great number of services in their base price that other vendors often charge for, which saved us money. My daughter and son-in-law had both their wedding ceremony and reception at Dunham's Bay last weekend. What an amazing experience....from the planning stages until the end of the bonfire after the reception! The staff here really care about providing the wedding couple with a magical event! No detail was overlooked and the "big day" went so smoothly. At no time did I (mother of the bride) have any anxiety about the wedding. Lynn and Dyan, wedding coordinators, do a marvelous job; the bartenders (Yay, Jack and colleague), the wait staff, the chef, and the maintenance people (who work very hard to prepare for a wedding, I discovered!) were all very competent, professional, and personable. We happily recommend Dunham's Bay as a wedding venue!

Me and my husband fell in love with Dunhams Bay from the venue to the staff. Everyone was amazing. We feel like they have become family. It' was the most amazing experience of our lives. Our family and friends loved it as well. It was perfect. Our day was amazing. I never stressed once because I knew everyone there would do there job perfect and it was. My fiance and I chose Dunham's Bay because we knew we wanted Lake George and didn't want a ballroom-type affair. We got married on the front lawn and had our reception out in the tent and everything was perfect! Several of our guests have told us how relaxed and fun our wedding was (which was exactly what we were going for)! We loved having the bonfire after-party as well. Lynn was fantastic to work with. She was always very responsive to all of my questions (which became more frequent as the big day approached) and made me feel completely confident that everything would go off without a hitch.

Given what we spent and how our day turned out, we would book here again in a heartbeat.

Lynn and herror crew at dunhams bay were aweaome . Anything we wanted they were right there pizza at midnight, letting people hand by the fire for longer. Very beautiful location and view, and a very accommodating staff that was both professional and able to connect with the wedding party and share in our happy day and excitement. It's a difficult task to organize, keep the wedding party calm, be professional, keep the pace of activities, and develop and maintain a level of comfort and chemistry with the wedding party and guests at the same time, and the staff did a beautiful job with all of this during both the rehearsal dinner and ceremony/reception. Special thanks to Dyan who ran around relentlessly the morning of the wedding making sure everyone was accommodated, on schedule, and at ease; and then persisted in doing the same all the way till the end of the night while guests got rambunctious and we sent the bride and groom off. We had lunch at Dunham’s Bay a year before our engagement and fell in love with their place. When we got engaged, this was the first place in our mind for getting married. Choosing Dunham’s Bay as our wedding venue was the best decision. The venue is breathtaking. If you look at the pictures and think that this is a beautiful place, you will be mesmerized when you stand here yourself. This is the best spot for a wedding in upstate New York especially when fall foliage is at its peak.
They have the best team and best people working to make sure that you have the best day of your life. Lynn is like your own wedding planner. She was extremely helpful and concerned about everything. We had many ideas and she was willing to do everything we asked for. She listened to our ideas and our vision and gave us very good suggestions to improve everything. You can tell that these people are not in this business just for money. They are doing this because they love it and this is their passion. Lynn also told us about AAWA and this also got us a good discount on other vendors. We had different colors for every table. Lynn did not hesitate and showed us all the available options. During wedding planning, she guided us and provided us with excellent suggestions. On the wedding day, she took care of everything and we did not have to worry about anything.
Chef AJ was terrific. He sat with us for food tasting and explained every dish. We tried a lot of dishes and choose the ones we liked. AJ was very attentive to our demands. We requested lamb, which was an out of menu item but he was excited and willing to try that. The food at the wedding was delicious. Everyone loved the food and AJs cooking.
The prices are quite reasonable and they include taxes, gratuity etc. There are no hidden costs. They also offer a complimentary suite to bride and groom on the wedding night. It was an amazing experience and they made sure that everything at our wedding ends up being absolutely perfect.

ceremony:
During the initial planning of our wedding Dunhams Bay Resort (DBR) gave us a few different options for locations of our ceremony. We could basically do whatever we wanted. Sadly it rained on our wedding day but we were able to use our backup option and have it under the tent. DBR kept us up to date on the weather and had no problems making a quick change to the tent.

reception:
The upstairs dining room and bar were perfect for our reception. Similar to the ceremony, we had almost complete control to set up our own layout for the tables, dancefloor, and buffet. Everything looked amazing and had a very rustic, Adirondack feel. We especially liked the large “U” shaped bar.

firepit:
One of the best parts of the day was the post-reception fire pit. DBR was able to get us a smores bar. It was perfect to be able to relax and sit around the fire with all of our family and friends after the long day.

rooms:
DBR was able to save a block of rooms and cabins just for us. The cabins were great for larger families with kids who normally need to reserve multiple hotel rooms, or a group of college friends who are used to passing out on couches/floors.

food:
Chef AJ did an amazing job with the food. During the tasting we went over our ideas for the buffet menu and he helped us balance it out. We ended up going with a slider bar and everything turned out perfect. They were also very accommodating of any vegans or vegetarians.

Lynn:
We cannot say enough about how perfect our wedding experience was with DBR. But we don’t believe any of it would have been possible without Lynn. She was with us through every step of planning and throughout the wedding day and following morning. We still don’t believe that this woman sleeps. She was the last one with us at the firepit and the first one we saw the next morning. Her number one goal is to make sure that every aspect of your wedding is perfect. And that is exactly what she did for our wedding.

Dunham's bay resort and thier staff are simply amazing! Lynn is by your side EVERY step of the way. She answers every question you have and I had a lot! She even helped me figure out a way to skype my mom during my wedding because my mother was in the hositpal and coughs not make it! My wedding was MY version and I was able to do this because you aren't given a package to pick from you choose everything from the napkin colors down to food! The team at Dunhams is amazing from start to finish! Lynn helps to make the day of and your planning up to stress free and fun. The location is perfect for a full weekend event. My daughter and her now husband announced their engagement in June 2014 and married October 2014. If you are counting, that gave us 4 months! Choosing Dunham's Bay was the best decision we could have ever made! The view is breath taking! The view enhances any picture.The entire staff there is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was amazing! My son-in-law is a chef, and he has very high standards. The food surpassed our expectations. The jewel at Dunham's Bay would have to be Lynn. She takes great pride in insuring the bride, groom and the families have everything they need. She seemed to be everywhere at once! My daughter never knew any issues that arose. Lynn took care of any glitches seamlessly. As the bride's mother, she understood the unique emotions I was going through. She kept me in the loop with everything. She was as much support to me as she was for my daughter. She does it all with a smile on her face. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dunham's Bay for your wedding/reception venue!

Our daughter was recently married at Dumham's Bay and she had the wedding of her dreams! Lynn and the entire staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the bride and groom were relaxed, happy, and stress-free for their big day. As well, the bridal party, families, and many guests were all treated with the utmost of cheerfulness and attentiveness. Chef AJ 's culinary creations were pleasing to both the eye and the palate. The WAIT House is a small non-profit that has a fall event every year for fundraising. Dunham's Bay Resort provided us with a professional, courteous staff to accommodate 230 people for our 2013 event. The food was excellent! The event was a huge success because of the professionalism of management and all staff. We will not hesitate to book future events with them. The resort is well planned out for events and has a great location. I have planned many events in the past and the event at Dunham's Bay Resort was truly one of our finest moments. What a wonderful venue! Rustic, yet elegant. The wedding reception set up was amazing! Loved the white covers on the seats!
We had a weekend wedding and several people stayed in cabins. The "common area" of the cabins was smaller than expected but the bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious.
We are parents of a bride and paid for the wedding. We were pleased with the cost and the way the "wedding planner" worked with us and with the bride and groom. She had their wishes in mind the whole weekend.
We had rehearsal on Friday night which Lynn (the wedding planner) handled well. Her instructions are concise and easy to follow... you can tell she has been doing this for several years! Our pizza and wings "dinner" was delicious and the kitchen kept them coming! Our cash bar for the evening was reasonably priced and the bar tenders were polite and caring.
The wedding ceremony went off with out a hitch, thanks to Lynn and the great staff. The entrance for the bride having an outside wedding was awesome! The ceremony had the lake as a back drop.
The reception was beyond compare... we had so many people tell us over the course of the evening, the next day and after how wonderful the wedding and reception were, that they had not been to a better wedding. The food was grand! Hot was hot and cold was cold. There was plenty of food and people even had seconds from the buffet. There was plenty of room for the 90 or so guests, and the dance floor was ample size. We even did the National Dance Day dance and had room to move!
I cannot say enough about the staff who took care of us, they were courteous, polite, caring and followed through on all our requests.
We had Metro Music (see review) as our DJ and he was also a great addition.
I wish I could post a review for Lynn, the wedding planner, she was over the top! She doted on the bride and groom and had their interest in mind over all else, yet she was helpful to everyone.

Excellent location for our reception! The place and surrounding environment is beautiful and the staff is very polite and attentive. If you want it, they can do it. We created some signature drinks (and of course tried them) and completed this part of our planning.
We were at a bit of a disadvantage because we live in North Carolina and were doing some long distance planning. Lynn was so helpful when it came to contacting other vendors. Once we got to Lake George the week before the wedding, we had everything we needed to set up. My best man built an arch for us that Lynn let us store on site, we had made our own decorations for the tent, and stored our wedding favors on site as well. I went into that week expecting to have a higher level of stress the big day drew near. I couldn’t have been more wrong! The staff was more than ready and everything within their control went smoothly. Everything that they expected of us was laid out from the start and Lynn was right there every minute to let us know what we needed to do next.
The night went off without a hitch and all of our guests couldn’t believe how beautiful everything looked and how amazing this venue was. We are so grateful for Lynn, AJ, Jack, and the rest of the Dunham’s Bay staff. Even though the planning process was stressful at times, looking back, I think that we were very lucky to have chosen Dunham’s Bay. Not having to worry about all of the little things allows you to really enjoy your wedding that much more. It was bittersweet having to say goodbye to everyone there the morning after the wedding. We can’t wait to go back and visit and will definitely be having future events at Dunham’s Bay. If you want the wedding of your dreams, at a budget-friendly cost, then this is the place to be. If you want a wedding done your way, create your own perfect day, and get the best added value in the Lake George area, Dunham's Bay is THE choice you need to make. My wife and I got married on May 17, 2013 and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the first day of planning until the day after the wedding, Lynn and her staff went above and beyond any level of expectation that we had.
There were many things that attracted us to Dunham's Bay and booking our wedding here. The ability to have exactly what you want in your wedding without having to settle for any type of "wedding package" was ideal for a Bride who is artistic and creative. I can't even remember how many times Lynn told us, "If that's what you want, we can do it." The second thing was the price. You can customize your food menu, setup, and ceremony location (we were the first to get married on the front lawn!). This allows you to create a price point that works best for your budget. From the first day that we met Lynn, it felt like we had known her for years and we knew that she was going to help give us a day we would never forget. She knows what she is doing. Trust in Lynn and you won’t be disappointed.
We did the food and drink tasting in December of 2012. This was the first time we met Chef AJ and Jack who runs the bar. The quality of AJ’s food is amazing. He uses local fresh food and makes some of the best food I have ever tasted. As we sat there, my wife and AJ created their own chicken dish from the top of their heads and it tasted great! We were able to sample some of the food that we decided on and were thoroughly impressed. He makes the best alfredo sauce you will ever eat. After we met with AJ, Jack sat down with us and we talked about some drink options. Again, this is whatever you want it to be. Nobody at Dunham’s Bay tries to sway you one way or the other. My daughter's wedding at Dunham's Bay was a wonderful experience. When we first met Lynn, she listened to our requests and wishes intently, offered suggestions and even promised good weather. We felt welcomed, comfortable and unstressed.The chef offered our choice of menu, prepared wonderful samples and made adjustments to our taste. Lynn was very clear about pricing and variables, what the quote did and did not include, with no unexpected expenses. Greeting us with her huge smile, Lynn directed the rehearsal so we all knew exactly where to go and what to do. Dunham's Bay allowed us to bring our own barbeque for rehearsal dinner, provided the grill, picnic tables and facilities without charge and saved us a bundle of money. Wedding day, amidst attending to details, Lynn was available to help any of us within minutes. We had an issue with the bride's flowers, and she immediately called the florist and had the matter handled without fuss. As Lynn stepped into the bridal cabin and saw my daughter in her gown, Lynn's eyes filled with tears; I knew she puts her heart into every wedding she plans. On the way to the ceremony, Lynn walked my daughter over to the reception area, to show her that all requested details were attended to. (The staff converted the huge white tent into a beautiful reception.) The ceremony took place on the hill in front of the main lodge; chairs placed so all could see and hear. The bridal procession and ceremony were beautiful beyond words. The reception was also wonderful. We received many compliments on the fabulous food. After the reception, we were provided a bon fire in the fire pit next to the tent. The wedding party and out of town guests stayed in the cabins. Lynn placed flower pedals on the wedding bed and made their room look so romantic. We all had the most wonderful and exceptional experience. Dunham's Bay, the staff, Lynn and even the weather could not have been more perfect, exactly as we were promised.

We really can't say enough wonderful things about Dunham's Bay Resort, Lynn, AJ, Jack and the rest of the staff. The food was great, Lynn ran the day like clockwork despite some wild weather, and all in all we got exactly the ceremony and reception we wanted.

Our guests had a blast staying in the cabins and enjoying the activites outside all weekend long. Also, we fit 150+ inside with a band and photobooth without trouble.

A few tips. Spring for the lakeside rental for pics and the ceremony. The results are spectacular. Also, give chef AJ a little freedom, your guests will not be disappointed.

Perfect. The scene was beautiful and the staff when very at tentative. Our wedding was perfect because of Dunhams Bay.

Dunham's Bay was amazing. The food was delicious, prepared perfectly with plenty to go around. Lynn and her staff were very accommodating and friendly. We did not have to worry about anything on our wedding day. Lynn was always there to assist with everything. She knew it was our day and let us plan it our way. The bon fire at the end of a hetic day was very relaxing. It gave everyone the chance to unwind.

Dunham's Bay was amazing!! I went in to please my mother. I wanted a destination wedding to Jamiaca. We Mark met with us and I was sold. He was so easy to talk to. I realized that they could meet all of our expectations, stay within our budget and we could have all of our family at our wedding. Meeting with Mark and Lynn almost seemed too easy and stress free. They were very accomadating and met every request. The food was great! They even made us a family recipe and it was perfect! They exceeded every expectation!!

We had a whole wedding weekend at Dunham's Bay. They catered our Friday night rehearsal dinner (a BBQ for 100 @ 25 per person) and then did an amazing job with the wedding on Saturday. Everything was beautiful. Who needs a day of coordinator when you have Lynn! Everything looked just the way I had dreamed. They did a fabulous job. They will work with any budget and they do a great job accommodating requests.

Firstly, we had a long engagement, including postponing a year and DBR was accommodating every step of the way. We visited plenty of places in LG, DBR was the only place that does 1 wedding per day. Lynn Clausen is the wedding coordinator on site and she is amazing. She made us feel comfortable at every meeting, starting with our drink orders and paperwork organized even when I was scrambling lol. Katie in the waitstaff even kept our 18 month old daughter entertained! As our wedding weekend approached Lynn was always responsive with emailing me back and patient as I struggled with the growing headcount. It felt like a relief arriving there, not at all stressful. Our cabin was ready, rehearsal was quick and dinner afterward was nice, casual bbq served in the downstairs bar area. Our family had a wonderful time enjoying everything the resort has to offer, playgound, pool, fire pit, etc. The way the grounds are set up makes it truly feel like your own special party, with the cabins surrounding reception tent guests can kind of come & go as they please. Kids (& some adults) had a blast on the playground & lawn playing frisbee. Our set up was gorgeous, they did an excellent job except that our placecards weren't put out but it wasn't too big of a deal, at least the table assignments were posted. Also there wasn't supposed to be blue cheese on the salad but again NBD. Just a few very minor missteps, nothing earth shattering. I was still giving Lynn hugs for the rest of our stay (everyone was!) for what a behind the scenes rock star she was, it is NOT an easy task keeping mine or my husband's attention lol! The bartenders were awesome as well, LOVE the outdoor bar set up. This venue is PERFECT for couples who want a little bit of everything for their guests, from those who would rather be on the side lines in a lounge chair enjoying a lake view, to the dancing queens. Everyone can enjoy the party how they like.
I'm out of space, book DBR ASAP!:D

Although it was hard to picture what our wedding would look like when first visiting Dunham's Bay at a bridal show during the winter time, I was instantly intrigued. The next visit, when meeting with Lynn, we were hooked. She made the entire wedding planning process easy, enjoyable, and fun! Living a few hours away from the site, having everything included was a huge appeal and relieved so much stress. All of the staff there really take the time to sit down with you and listen to your ideas and vision. The chef is absolutely amazing; you cannot go wrong with anything you pick from the menu and your guests will be impressed with the quality of the food. The ladies setting up the reception area really know what they are doing; I literally showed up with a box of random things that I liked but didn't know how to put them all together and they created an absolute perfect scenery just as I wanted, but didn't know how to describe. Being able to have everyone in the same place and having all of our family together to hang out before the wedding and of course at the bonfire afterward, really made it a special weekend. And did I mention Lynn?!! She is absolutely amazing and thinks of everything and takes care of everything to the point where you can't believe how easy it is and you get to just relax and enjoy your wedding day. She truly was meant to do this and I can't imagine if I had to do all of the little things she took care of for us. It was an absolutely perfect day and that is due to all of the amazing staff and beautiful view that Dunham's Bay has.

Lynn was amazing!! She is like your own personal wedding planner that you get as part of the bundle. She really makes sure you get to enjoy your day.
There are so many different areas of the resort that you can utilize that is just an amazing location for a weekend wedding. We had our even on friday and saturday and all of our guest are still raving about it. How comfortable it was and still so elegant!
