Wedding Dress Alterations
Ducharme designs was responsive, quick, and did great work! My dress had intricate design details but she was able to take it in without impacting the design, and made it look easy! She also took the time to show me exactly how the dress was supposed to be bustled (several times) so there were no delays on the wedding day. I would recommend her services to anyone who needs their dress altered for their big day! -

Wonderful and knowledgeable!

EXCELLENT Mother of the Groom Dress!!!
I was SO lucky to have found the amazing and incredibly talented Delores Stiver at Ducharme Designs. Her custom bridal dress studio was one of the exceptional highlights and experiences leading into our son’s wedding weekend in creating a one-of-a kind Mother of the Groom dress for me. After shopping trips to bridal salons and stores and feel despair over the lack of uniqueness I found Delores who told me if “I have a vision she can make it for me”. I actually sat down and drew a little drawing of what I was thinking in my mind – and she totally got exactly what I was picturing, and she listened to me in designing a dress that I not only felt stunning in but had countless compliments and everyone wanting to know at the wedding (and on Facebook) ‘Where did you get your dress” AMAZING!
She made the entire experience a complete dream from start to finish and by the end I had more than a talented dress maker, but a friend!
Ducharme Designs worked her magic in bringing my hopes and dreams to life no matter what my size and shape was, to make me feel incredible at the wedding!!
There are not enough words to describe how grateful I am, but I can tell you I felt like a million dollars on the big day, and I was a magical experience!
She also helped with my little granddaughter’s dress who was a flower girl in getting it to fit perfectly on such a little body- Thank You!!

Delores did the alterations for my daughters wedding dress which turned out to be so much more complex than we imagined, she did an amazing job on a very intricate lace dress at a very reasonable price. We would definitely recommend her for any bridal alterations. -

Delores was amazing. I bought a gown for my stepson’s wedding. I bought it 2 sizes larger because I did not like the revealing neckline and wanted more coverage. I knew only Delores was skilled enough to transform my dress. Let me just say she went above and beyond my expectations. My gown fit like a glove and gave me the coverage I desired. I was thrilled to say the least. I felt wonderful in my gown and got many compliments. -

There are no words to express how grateful I am to have had Delores come into our life for our wedding – she made a complete, beautiful custom Mother of the Groom dress from start to finish just based on a drawing we had on a piece of paper and she made it come to life!! She helped select the perfect fabric and trim and she fit it to PERFECTION. She also stepped in to fit everything to perfection with our bridesmaids, flower girl and even alterations to the Father of the Groom’s suit. She is hands down THE BEST IN THE AREA!! Delores is such a joy to work with and extremely experienced at knowing exactly how to get the custom look and fit for our wedding party – You will be so happy you called her. She is definitely an expert in her field!! Thank you Delores! -

Amazing customer service and great outcome
Delores was recommended to me by a friend. I told my friend I bought a vintage dress from the 50s that was home sewn but had no idea who to take it to so that I could get it altered. Delores welcomed my gown and was excited to help! I fell in love with the bottom of the gown and wanted to turn it into a skirt. The appointments with her were easy and quick. She gave suggestions and options and did her magic! It turned out better that I imagine it could. I cant wait to wear it on the big day!! -

A miracle worker !
Delores is AMAZING! When I first laid eyes on my dress I knew it was the one. Unfortunately my dress was apparently designed with a 6 foot B cup owner in mind. And I was working with 5 feet and a D cup. Odds were against me!! I went to Delores with my fingers and toes crossed, my dress in one hand and about 10 pages of hand drawn ideas in the other (pew cones, fabric sewn on to the edges of an aisle runner etc.). Delores didn’t even bat an eye and said “okay, let’s get started”! I had a vision and a lot of hopes that I thought were most likely just dreams. But Delores literally is a miracle worker! Not only did my dress fits like it was made just for me, every thing I had hand drawn she brought to life! If you are reading this, you don’t need to look any further, just call Delores!!! -

One of a Kind Wedding Alterations
Ducharme Designs altered not only my wedding dress but also my rehearsal dinner suit and the mother of the bride dress. Each outfit was altered to PERFECTION. My wedding dress was extremely intricate, shipped from New Zealand, and many sizes too big. The length of the arms was too long, the back and sides needed to be taken in without bulging, and the amount of lace, appliques, and detail in the dress gave me anxiety that the alterations (no matter how good) would not appear seamless. I was blown away when Delores made the dress look as if it was created by the designer especially for me. There wasn’t a flaw to be seen after she was finished with her work. I would recommend Deloris and her business a million times again to any who wants precise, quality, beautiful work done. Thank you Deloris for making my special day even more special with this work of art wedding dress! -

Wedding Dress & Everyday Wear Alterations
Delores knows exactly what she is doing. She can make your vision a reality. She is very realistic and communicative with the process of creating and/or altering. Although I didn't need very many esthetic changes to my wedding dress, I did need quite a bit of altering for a petite girl with a lot of fabric. Due to the design of my dress, the alterations could have made it difficult for the dress to stay up. But Delores had it fitting perfectly without a single problem. She is both professional and friendly each step of the way and is there for YOU and your vision! She also altered my daughter's flower girl dress to fit perfectly only after the first session!
I have also used her with smaller odd and end jobs (zippers, hemming, size altering) and all come out like brand new. It is sometimes hard for petite women to find sizes that fit perfectly off the rack. I will be using Delores from here on out. -

The best wedding dress alterations
Deloris saved my wedding dress! I had previously gone to someone else to get alterations done and they made my sleeves WAY too tight (I could barely lift my arms up) They also made my bustle so complicated my mom/sister could not even figure it out. I went to her in desperate need and she fixed everything and more! She was so sweet and very detail oriented. I cannot thank her enough for all she did for me! If you are looking for someone to alter your wedding dress PLEASE use her you won’t regret it! I’ve already told so many of my friends/family members getting married soon to make sure they go to her! -

She was able to take pictures I showed her of different dresses and combine the elements I liked from each, creating the most beautiful custom wedding dress for me. She has a an eye for detail and can make suggestions that you never even imagined could happen with a dress. I was beginning to plan my wedding when COVID hit. I wasn’t able to try dresses on in person do bought one online out of desperation. The dress was beautiful but didn’t fit anywhere it was too big in some areas and too small in others. It was also sleeveless and I wanted long sheer appliquéd sleeves. Basically it was great start but needed alot of work. Delores at Ducharme Designs was able to alter to fit me perfectly and created beautiful sleeves that matched the rest of the dress as if they were always there! In fact several people complimented the sleeves specifically. The whole dress was beautiful and felt and looked like it was made for me! My experience with Delores was amazing. She is talented, calm and immediately puts you at ease during what could be a stressful time! I would highly recommend her to anyone needing alterations or a whole wedding dress makeover! -

Wedding Dress alterations and making veil
Fabulous seamstress that performed major alterations on my daughter’s wedding dress. In addition she custom designed my daughter’s veils and made them from scratch. She made a long one for the ceremony and a short one for the reception. In addition, she bustled the train on the wedding dress for the reception.
Delores is also an accomplished designer that has designed and made wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses and mother of the bride ensembles for many of my friends. She also remade a friend’s wedding dress into something more stylish that her daughter was able to wear for her wedding.

Everything I asked for and more
Delores did an amazing job and was so patient with me! She made my dress fit like a glove. Her ideas and work surpassed anything I could have dreamed of! Even with all the dancing, the dress and the bustle did not budge! I never wanted to take it off! -

Delores altered my daughter’s wedding gown and did such a fabulous job on her bustle. She also made her veil to the exact expectation my daughter requested and it was all so beautiful. She is an incredible seamstress and has done many alterations for me as well and everything had been tailored perfectly. And her pricing has been very reasonable for the work she has done.
