Absolutely amazing!!
Choosing our wedding photographer was one of our most important vendor decisions. We wanted a photographer who was versatile enough to capture emotional moments and convey our wedding day through a story. We spent hours researching photographers, but when exploring a wedding expo, we had the opportunity to meet Daniel as he was advertising DTJ Photography. Even though it was a hectic day meeting tons of other photographers, we walked away from the expo impressed with Daniel's knowledge and artistic perspective. We were very specific with wanting a photographer to capture photographs in a moody candlelit ambiance, and after seeing Daniel's gallery we were positive he could capture our vision.
After booking with DTJ, we were so impressed with his thoughtfulness and communication. Our engagement shoot session was the best way to not only get the perfect photos to share with our loved ones but to also work with Daniel and get any wedding day jitters out of the way. Our engagement photography session was invaluable as he taught us how to pose and helped us gained confidence in front of the camera. On the wedding day, Daniel and his team (Nelson and John) were a calm and commanding presence which made getting through our lengthy photo list effortless, even when we had our large extended family portraits. The entire day went without a hitch as Daniel, Nelson, and John brought an extremely positive energy that kept our spirits high throughout our wedding day. We felt that they were able to holistically, purely, and dynamically capture our wedding day.
All of our photos are absolutely breathtaking: the details, our first look, formal portraits, bridal party features, and fun dance floor shots are all so meticulously captured. So many of our friends and family said we look like models or should be on the cover Vogue. We cannot express how ecstatic we are with the photos we will have for the rest of our lives.

Long Version: Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the biggest decisions we made—we wanted someone who could capture every emotion, every special moment, and every little detail in the most beautiful way possible. After endless research, scrolling through instagram posts, and reading reviews, we finally found DTJ Photography at a NJ Wedding Expo. And let me tell you— despite the craziness of Expos it was hands down the BEST decision we made because it brought us to Daniel!
One of the best parts of working with Daniel was the engagement photo session prior to the wedding. It wasn’t just about getting beautiful photos (which, of course, we did!)—it was an amazing way to get comfortable in front of the camera and learn how to take direction. Daniel made the entire experience fun and effortless, helping us shake off any nerves and feel natural in every pose. By the time the wedding day came, we felt so much more relaxed and confident, and it truly showed in our photos!
On the big day, Daniel was more than just a photographer—he was a calming presence, a hype person, and a true professional who knew exactly how to capture the magic of every moment.
And the photos? Absolutely breathtaking. Every time we look at them, we’re transported right back to that incredible day. The raw emotions, the laughter, the happy tears, the epic dance floor moments—he captured it all so perfectly. Our family and friends keep telling us they look like something straight out of a magazine!

DTJ Photography is excellent, book fast!
We worked with DTJ Photography for several events but within the last year, our engagement shoot, my bridal shower, and our wedding! Across the board, Daniel and his team have been completely professional, understanding, flexible, and so so helpful in assisting us achieve our vision. My husband and I are not “photo people”- we basically have to be forced to take photos. But obviously, for our engagement/wedding year, we wanted to have these memories preserved right. My family has worked with Daniel previously, to photograph my sister’s sweet 16. We were so happy with those photos and the energy he brought with him that we reached out again for our wedding events. All photos for every event came out SO beautiful. For our engagement shoot we wanted two locations and he was very kind and flexible in those accommodations. For our wedding, he helped us pose and pick the right angles and backdrops and we are very thankful because on our own we would have no clue what to do! He made us feel like the stars of the whole evening. He is extremely responsive with all communications and was on time, ready to go and was so great even amidst a bridal party of 20 people, a bus ride, an anxious bride, a rowdy reception, and emotional parents :) I couldn’t recommend him and the team enough; really so great to work with and we are beyond happy with our photos of these events. We will always be trying to book him for special events moving forward! 5/5 recommend! -

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of working with DJ for both my engagement and wedding photos, and I couldn't be happier with the results. DJ exhibited stellar professionalism throughout the entire process.

My FH hired Daniel as a photographer for our surprise engagement back in June 2021. We loved his energy, and his work truly speaks for itself - we were so excited to work with him again for our wedding in Oct 2022. He is not a light & airy photographer nor a super dark and moody. Daniel is a blend of everything, especially with vibrant colors, poses, and unique, unexpected shots. I am in LOVE with our preview photos, and I cannot wait to see the full gallery in a couple more weeks. Daniel is a gem - professional, responsive, amazing eye for creativity, and just overall someone I am so glad we went with for photography. We were so comfortable working with Daniel, and he made sure we had every shot we wanted before leaving. During our reception, he edited 10/15 photos and set up a laptop near the gift table to show guests, and even printed 10 polaroid images and left them in a beautiful F1 card (we are huge fans!) in our card box. It was such a fun surprise to come across while my husband and I opened cards the following days. If you are looking for a wedding day photographer, I highly recommend Daniel. -

DTJ Photography was wholeheartedly THE BEST investment we made in our wedding planning. DJ and his team are personable and easy-going which instantly made us feel comfortable so there were no awkward or stiff photos. On top of that, DJ's artistic eye added more character to our wedding album - adding eye-catching backgrounds, great poses, and capturing all of the authentic love and happiness of the night. Our wedding album is a true treasure for us, and we love our pictures so much that we have difficulty picking which ones to get printed to put on our walls. All in all, I would enthusiastically recommend this company to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

From our engagement photos that we rained out to our Plan C for our wedding during Covid you couldn't ask for a more flexible photographer to feel taken care of, rely on and grow to be more than a vendor but a friend. He's fast, responsive and the results are insane. I have recommended DJ to others. -

Amazing and Professional!
You won’t regret choosing Daniel and DTJ Photography to capture your big day or any special events! Daniel is kind, honest, reasonable priced, and has a strong attention to detail to capture each moment of your day. From our engagement shoot to the last seconds of our wedding Daniel made sure to pay strong attention to detail for our big day. Daniel and his staff were on time and were not stop the whole day of our wedding. He is professional, creative and truly cares about his work. He has a great personality and I had many compliments from my parents and bridal party with how nice and helpful he was the day of my wedding. Not only did DJ travel all the way to Florida for our wedding he was very organized, flexible and trustworthy. DJ handled all the small details well in advance to ensure there was no added stress as the day approached. DJ went to three different locations the day of the wedding to make sure he captured all the requested photos and was ON TIME to each place and still managed to capture all the photos on such crunched time. I am still VERY pleased with the service and the photos i will forever have.
