Great reception venue
We worked with Kellie and she was a huge help! Whenever we had questions she was quick to respond. She unfortunately couldn’t be there the day of so there was a little confusion with some of the food choices but overall no issues. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. We even rented out the bar area after the reception and guests liked having a more relaxed environment before leaving for the night. -

Beautiful Wedding
I had my wedding at Drury Lane in September and it was everything I had dreamed of and more! Drury Lane is the most beautiful backdrop for an elegant and romantic wedding. The giant glass chandeliers are breathtaking and the food and service was amazing. We got so many compliments about how wonderful and timeless our wedding was from guests. Tammy was great to work with and always very communicative throughout the entire process! Highly recommend Drury Lane for a gorgeous wedding venue.-

A Dream Wedding at Drury Lane!
We are so happy we decided to have our wedding reception at Drury Lane. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is extremely professional and focused on the client and guest experience. Our coordinator was Tammy Blachuciak, and we could not have been more impressed with her. Tammy was very professional, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. Her years of experience working in the industry are evident as she always had a calm demeanor while still executing flawlessly with her staff on everything we requested. The food at our wedding reception blew us away, and we received so many compliments from guests on how much they enjoyed the dinner. We could not be happier with our experience and cannot recommend Drury Lane enough! -

Amazing Wedding Experience!
Megan and the rest of the staff at Drury Lane helped make our wedding a DREAM. Megan was communicative from the start, responding promptly to e-mails and calls, providing thoughtful suggestions, and offering advice. She was pleasant and sharp! She helped all of my vendors including the florist, DJ, and photo booth, around the space, so we showed up to a room that was perfectly set up and ready to party. I loved not having anything to worry about on the day of. The space itself (my husband and I used the Crystal Room) was stunning and required truly minimal decorations - a huge plus, as we were on a pretty tight budget. The food was wonderful, as was the service by the catering staff. They were all kind and attentive. Also impressive was the chef's attention to detail. Out of an almost 130-person wedding, we had four guests with very serious food allergies. The chef created a custom menu for each guest and was even able to provide it for us in advance. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Drury Lane. Planning was minimally stressful since the pricing includes so much. And if you can, definitely work with Megan! She was truly a rockstar. -

Simply amazing!
We got married at Drury Lane last month and it was just an overall wonderful experience! They were one of the first vendors we booked during our 18-month engagement, and every step over those 18 months was so simple and straightforward.
We were looking for a venue that was beautiful on its own, pretty much all-inclusive, and reasonably priced and Drury Lane ticked all those boxes. Also, the food was DELICIOUS! Seriously, its a month later and people are still telling me how it was probably the food they'd had at a wedding (shout out to the champagne sorbet). So much parking, plus complimentary valet, hotels on-site (plus a complimentary hotel room), easy to get to from the city and just all that old-Hollywood glam.
We worked with Ruth, Lesley, and Tammy and each of them was incredibly helpful and so nice. It was so easy to arrange our tasting, pick a menu, discuss linens, arrange a rehearsal, etc.
I can't recommend highly enough!

The perfect wedding venue!
If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Chicago area, Drury Lane is the place to go! I cannot say enough great things about this venue, Tammy Blachuciak and all of the staff. From my first interaction reaching out to inquire about dates and pricing, I was surprised by how responsive and flexible everyone was, especially compared to experiences I had with other venues at the beginning of our planning process. My then fiancé and I toured Drury Lane on December 28th, 2018 and had it booked for our wedding date, October 5th, 2019 within one week because Tammy knew I was going out of the country for two weeks and worked extremely hard to work with me on the contract in such a short time frame. Having a wedding with 325 guests takes a lot of coordination and time and Tammy helped me with all of my random questions, last minute changes, and pointing out things that I hadn't even thought of. She was very flexible with meeting me at Drury Lane, even staying late to accommodate my drive in from the city. She even worked with my other vendors directly so that I wasn't stressing out right before the wedding. We had our wedding reception in the Oak and Brook ballrooms. It is hard to even describe how gorgeous and elegant Drury Lane is. From the beautiful entrance and foyer to the huge mirrors and stunning chandeliers in the ballroom, it is simply the most beautiful wedding venue I have ever been to. On top of that, the food is amazing! All of our guests were raving about how delicious the food was. The serving staff was great about getting all of the food out efficiently but also taking the time to make sure guests were done with each course before taking it away. As this was my wedding, I know that I am probably biased in saying this was the best wedding I have ever been to, but ALL of my guests said the same thing and I know this would not have been the case if not for Tammy and Drury Lane. Tammy truly cared about our wedding and making it as perfect as can be, you can tell that it is not just a job for her. I cannot recommend Drury Lane enough! -

An honest dream come true wedding
Drury Lane was everything we could have imagined for our wedding reception. We walked into our first tour assuming they would be far out of our price range - the beautiful venue, the high ceilings, the incredible food - no way we could afford it, right? WRONG! Drury Lane had an option for almost every budget, including ours. We held our reception in the Oak Room - with high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers. We had an open bar, served a 5 course meal, and danced the night away until midnight. Every member of the staff was wonderful. Tammy was a dream to work with, and we are so so so happy with the way our wedding turned out! I could go on for days about how happy we are with Drury Lane, but I'll keep it short - the food was out of this world, the staff was amazing, the space was GORGEOUS, and it was a dream come true! I am still getting compliments and "I can't believe that venue!" messages. Honestly, if you want a glam wedding in the Chicago area without the "downtown Chicago" price point - Drury Lane is IT!-

We loved everything about Drury Lane when we had our wedding day reception there. The food was amazing, the chandeliers are beautiful, the service was great. The only thing that was missing is there wasn't a bridal room to store our stuff in, so we put purses, boxes, etc. underneath the gift card table. Other than that it was a really beautiful place and I'd recommend. -

We were originally looking for a venue where we could do both ceremony and reception, but thought we'd give Drury Lane a try. And I'm so glad we did! So many good things to say - the sales and planning teams answered all of our questions and found something that worked with our budget, and then kept me calm and on track for planning. We found a church close by for the ceremony. Our out of town guests were happy to have lots of hotel options close by. The service was great. It's been almost a month and people are still talking about how good the food was. -

This venue was perfect! It accommodated my huge wedding and I have gotten a lot of compliments. Everyone raved about the food and the space! I can never ask for a beautiful evening. Kara has been attentive, and she was pretty good responding back to me and my day of coordinator. The budget was very reasonable! I just wish the day didn't fly by fast! Everything was a blur! -

My advice for others is to have a Wedding budget. please set limitations on what is important to spend the most money on versus where you can save on other things. Take your time, breathe and Love each other through the process. The day of your Wedding will go by so fast, So enjoy it and stay by each other side the whole time!! Drury Lane was everything I wanted and more..The entire staff was spectacular, especially Leslye! -

We had the BEST experience with Drury Lane. Our event manager, Lesley, was fantastic - so responsive, flexible, attentive and just made everything so so easy. The food is amazing - everything tastes just like it did during the tasting and we received so many complements from our guests. We had a Christmas wedding, and the decor within the lobby itself is just breathtaking. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone - stunning, classic, perfect. -

One of the first and best decisions we made in the wedding planning process was choosing Drury Lane for our venue, and we agree that we would do it again in hindsight. Not only does Drury Lane include everything (and I do mean everything, right down to linens, centerpieces, valet parking, and a honeymoon suite), but Lesley, the catering manager, was so helpful and responsive throughout the entire process, answering every question we came up with, often in a matter of hours. Our actual wedding day was completely perfect, and Lesley even worked with our other vendors to coordinate deliveries and setup, making a day-of coordinator unnecessary for us. As if all that weren't enough of a recommendation, we heard from multiple guests that the food was the best they had eaten at a wedding, and we stayed well within our desired budget. We could not come up with a negative aspect of our experience with Drury Lane if we tried. Book them if you can! -

We had the most wonderful experience working with the staff at Drury Lane. The venue is amazing and everything was pulled off perfectly. They answered all the emails with questions along the way in a timely manner and went above and beyond to make sure the reception was everything we wanted. We have had multiple comments on how beautiful the room looked, how delicious the food was and how good the drinks were. We are only sad that it went by so quickly. We will be back for Sunday brunches often! -

My husband and I had our wedding at Drury Lane on May 20, 2016. It was the wedding of our dreams!!!! Since the wedding, I feel that it is my duty, whenever I can, to highly recommend this venue!!! From the moment you enter the facility, you step into a classy and gorgeous environment. Kara, my coordinator was unbelievably amazing and sooooooo helpful with EVERYTHING! The staff is professional and courteous, and above all very caring and attentive towards making our day a special and memorable one! I cannot say enough positive things about Drury Lane. When you see what is offered and available to you, you will see that it is the best bang for your buck in the Chicagoland area!!! The food is UNREAL!!! Guests are still talking about the food quality and that the food was the best tasting at any wedding attended. Guests with NOT leave hungry and the drinks are flowing aplenty! It was truly the wedding of our dreams and the most perfect day! And the chandeliers????!!!! STUNNING! We had our ceremony in the Venetian Room and the the reception in the Crystal Ballroom. I would highly recommend booking these two rooms! And the venue is perfect since the Hilton Suites and Garden Inn bookend this venue! Everything is right there! Thank you thank you to Drury Lane and all staff members! look no further than Drury Lane when deciding on your wedding venue! -

My daughter's reception was at the Drury Lane and I must say that it was everything they said it would be. Leslie was an outstanding coordinator with a tremendous amount of patience (we changed the linen at least 4 times) and understanding. The food at the reception was just as wonderful as it was when we went for the tasting. Thanks again for making my daughter's wedding day all that she dreamed of. -

Drury Lane was incredible. Everything from the staff, to the location and food. Everything we requested was granted. The staff and Lesley were very well organized. The food at the reception was every bit as good as the tasting. Everyone has raved about Drury Lane and we could not be happier with our choice. The hall was elegant and the perfect venue for our guests. -

I had my wedding and reception at Drury Lane in June of this year. First, I must say that it was everything I dreamed of. The wait service was great;professional; and prompt, the food was excellent (We served rack of lamb and filet mignon), the rooms were beautiful, the drinks were great (my guests walked up to me to share that bit of info), and most of all....Tammy was great to work with. Every special request I asked her for, she delivered with a smile. Though I had quite a bit of decor from my vendor, I still did a lot of DIY. I left her pics and instructions on where everything went. I highly recommend having your wedding and/or reception here. They handled my large wedding without breaking a sweat. I had almost 300 people. The value (the cost for what you get) is better than other venues in the area. The parking is free and plentiful, and there are two hotels next door for you out of town guests and getting ready. If you don't at least consider them, you are doing yourself an injustice. -

From the very beginning, working with everyone at Drury Lane has been amazing. Lesley helped me take care of every little detail and made sure my vision came to life. The food at Drury Lane is unbelievable, some of the best food I have ever had at a wedding. Everyone I encountered during both the planning process, and the reception itself was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure the night was perfect. I would recommend Drury Lane to anyone looking for a beautiful, classy venue, without the Chicago price tag. The night was an absolute fairy tail. -

An Event Coordinator's experience: I got married here in December of 1991. We had the pleasure to return to Drury Lane to celebrate my 23rd Wedding Anniversary. We hadn't been there since 1991.
OMG! It was exquisite and we were blown away by the facility. It seems you are walking into a downtown venue without the $$ price tag.
The service was way beyond attentive. Our waiter was so sweet and made us feel important, his name is Yuri. They had station after station giving their customers so much variety to select from and they even had a ice cream sundae bar! Yummy! You should have seen the sleigh Santa Claus was sitting on! It was classic and made for a great Christmas picture with Santa.
The color scheme is sophisticated and their attention to detail is apparent everywhere. As an Event Coordinator, you always notice the special little touches that sets that venue apart from the others, realizing that the owners and management take great pride in giving you the very best.
The remodeling went all the way from the new wallpaper to the last details of new banquet chairs. The new banquet chairs are gorgeous! Yes, gorgeous and modern. Now, you as clients, do not have to worry about the EXTRA money and expense it takes renting to cover what venue offers.
The main ballrooms are everything you would hope for.
In my experience, the most requested items a Bride and Groom wants from a venue is:
1. Gorgeous, timeless, and impressive, the "wow" factor. - Check
2. A beautiful and large lobby area with lounge area and sitting area outside ofballroom, the "wow" factor. - Check
2. A beautiful and large lobby area with lounge area and sitting area outside of ballroom. - Check
* Great for your guests to grab a drink during dinner hour.
3. Close by or attached hotel for guests to stay. Convenient. - Check
4. Neutral color scheme, updated, and beautifully maintained. - Check
5. Attention to detail is everywhere. - Check
A must to tour! -

My husband and I just got married this past Saturday (11/1/14) and we are beyond pleased with how wonderful the night was. We were in the Crystal Room. The chandeliers and entryway were beautiful, the setup was perfect, and the atmosphere was truly magical. Drury Lane was very hands on in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding, and this continued through the day of. We had the pleasure of working with Kara, Tammy and Ruth and I do not have a negative thing to say about any of them. Kara and Tammy helped with so much of the planning and were very responsive to any and all requests I had. I know our guests who had food allergies and intolerances had nothing to worry about - Drury Lane was able to accommodate all of their dietary needs. The servers bringing out food and clearing tables were very professional and polite. I was a nervous wreck for a lot of the day and had no appetite, but they were kind enough to wrap up my food for me to take home and enjoy the next day (and boy did I - even reheated the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD).
Ruth was there day of and she really took care of us. It was such a relief having her there to help guide the night, as neither I nor my husband really knew how crazy it would be until we were in the middle of it. She made sure we were well fed, there was always wine at our table, and even made sure our parents had everything they needed. Nothing went according to plan and yet everything was perfect.
I made it a point for us to greet every one of our guests and they all RAVED about the venue, the food and the great time they had. All of the pictures people snapped are streaming in and every comment is about how beautiful the wedding was. I like to think that was my planning, but we could not have had such an amazing night in such a breathtaking venue without the help of the wonderful women of the catering department of Drury Lane. THANK YOU! -

I loooooved this venue!!! And that's an understatement!!! They were so helpful from beginning to end! If I had more money I would have paid them all extra!!! They even helped me take care of the centerpieces I did myself and they arranged them themselves. I couldn't be happier with my choice of venue! The food was awesome staff was awesome and Kara was more like a wedding assistant from beginning to end! It's a pricy venue but worth every dollar! -

This newly remodeled hall was gorgeous for our wedding reception. We booked the crystal room which is separate from the grand ball room and gave it that intimate feeling apart from everyone else. It had its own foyer which was great for our photo booth and for guests to mingle. The food and service was great, my guests are still complimenting the food. It was a great value as well. -

Drury lane was excellent. Robert and Kara were very helpful. They moved our wedding to a larger room after there was a cancellation. They didn't have to do that and it was really nice of them. The food was excellent and I got a lot of compliments on the dinner and presentation. I highly recommend having your wedding at Drury Lane. -

We are so happy that we chose Drury Lane for our reception! There were so many choices on venues, and coming from suburbs in different directions, it was a difficult decision for us to find a middle point for our families. We had the pleasure of working with Kara in planning our reception. She was absolutely fantastic. She was patient and understanding, and so accommodating to every vision that we had for our wedding day. She was wonderful with all of our family members and, and made us feel so comfortable. In addition to Kara, every person that we have had contact with was completely happy to help and friendly to work with. Drury Lane’s remodeling has made it a different place from what I remember visiting growing up. The room was absolutely beautiful, and I could not have imagined that the visions we had in our minds could be brought to life any more beautifully than they were. I would absolutely recommend checking out Drury Lane to anyone planning their wedding! -

I really love Drury Lane. We had our wedding reception here, and it was truly beautiful. Their prices are amazing, especially compared to the surrounding hotel venues in the area. We had a 5 course dinner for probably half the price of neighboring venues. The food was excellent and came out hot and fresh. The decorations were exactly as planned. We had a slight time delay trying to get my dress bustled, and they made arrangements to push back dinner by 30 minutes with no problem at all. It was very accommodating. I worked with Tammy and Kara, and they were both friendly, polite, professional, and extremely helpful. I would recommend this venue to anyone - great location, great service, great food, great people. -

We booked Drury Lane for our reception site. They are so easy to work with! For such a well-known place, their prices are very reasonable. For the amount of guests we had also it wasn't breaking our budget at all! The host at our reception site did everything we asked for and a whole lot more! We couldn't have asked for anything better! We had so many guests say the day of and weeks after that we had one of the BEST weddings ever and it mainly was due to the reception site. The food was absolutely delicious and I know our guests went home feeling very full. Big portions are served for the price you pay and we could have had anything on the menu and not be disappointed at all. If you are looking for something reasonable, elegant, sophisticated-book Drury Lane! I have NOTHING bad to say about the venue nor will I EVER say anything bad about it. The place is not for everyone but my suggestion would be to not rule it out without going to check it out. Trust me, they do an AWESOME job and give you EVERY opportunity to make it the wedding you want it to be! -

Originally, I would not have given Drury Lane this great of a review. The first planner I was paired with was not too nice. However, I worked with Bonny and she was amazing. She gave great suggestions, worked with me and my mother, as I live out of the state, and she also laughed at how crazy my mom and I were, lol. We made our own centerpieces, menu cards, had a candy buffet (that was packaged in glass), our placecards, etc and Jessica followed our layout to a T. We received so many compliments on the quality of our food, the service, and of course the open bar. The venue was absolutely gorgeous. To the bride that is concerned about two receptions taking place at the same time, you honestly have nothing to worry about. We had no idea that another party was taking place, the spacing was perfect. Our experience ended up being wonderful and definately worth a recommendation. -

Drury Lane made our dream wedding come true. They were extremely accommodating with everything from the food tasting to calling us to make sure the contract was correct down to the last detail. Our reception was in the Crystal Room and everything went according to plan. The wait staff was friendly and their coordinators even made sure that our special meals (we had 2 vegetarians and my grandmother has extreme food allergies) were delivered to the correct guests. After the wedding, we received many compliments from our friends and family for selecting such a beautiful location for our reception. I would highly recommend Drury Lane for any special event, just know that they do book up early so if you are interested in having your special event there, make sure you go in and reserve your space immediately! -

Drury Lane is the best location for a wedding reception! They work well with you, with food and drink options, and with planning. They allowed us to bring in our own deserts and allowed us to have gambling tables during our New Years Eve wedding! The location was decorated to the 9's with Christmas. They provided a free champagne toast at midnight. Our night went off without a hitch! I would recommend having a reception there. -

Drury Lane a perfect setting. I received a lot of compliments on the venue, food, service and location. The venue was beautifully decorated with a huge Christmas tree greeting you as you first walk in. Gave a real nice first impression. The walk towards the Crystal Room was also a delight. The food was tasty and we added Mexican hot sauce to each table for our guest who preferred a little spice. Tammy helped coordinate the event and was very pleasant to work with. Ted and his staff were very personable. They made sure adults and children were served properly. We kept Jose and bar backs very busy throughout the night and they served every drink with a smile. Drury Lane included a complimentary night stay at the adjacent hotel. A lot of family and friends from in and out of town loved the fact that 2 hotels were available only steps away. If only one complaint...my centerpieces did disappoint. I would have preferred a lot more flowers rather than just one for each table. All in all worth every penny. -

A night to remember
Drury Lane is one of those quintessential locales that everyone from the Chicagoland area knows immediately. My wife and I when looking for a reception venue wanted something special. We didn’t want to end up in a cookie cutter hotel ballroom. But no matter where we looked, we couldn’t find a place that offered the elegance that we wanted more than anything. That is, until we visited Drury Lane. The minute we walked into the Crystal Room our eyes met and I knew we were in agreement, we had found our venue. The entire process was relatively seamless. The coordinator we were originally assigned left Drury Lane, and it ended up being a godsend! Christina was assigned our new coordinator and she became our right hand lady. No matter how many emails we sent her, or weird questions we asked, or details we threw her way, she met the challenge. And trust me, it was no easy feat, she literally went above and beyond. She listened to every single thing and made sure what we saw on our big day was exactly what we wanted. Even Megan, one of the other coordinators, was exceptionally kind and helpful when I showed up to drop off items for the reception. She grabbed carts and helped me to haul stuff in, with a smile on her face and nothing but congratulations! When we arrived on the day of, the venue was gorgeous and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Maria, who not only served us for our tasting, but was also our server the night of our wedding, is the kindest, most attentive and thoughtful woman I’ve ever met. She went the extra mile to make sure everything was taken care of and that we felt like a king and queen! The food was good - but there was a significant difference in the taste and quality compared to the tasting. But we knew that is to be expected when cooking for 100 vs cooking for 2. And a word of advise to future brides and grooms - always hand deliver your payments! We sent a payment via FedEx with tracking, and although FedEx shows it got delivered, we were told it was never received. So less than a week out we had to scramble to get a new check cut and get it there. All in all, with the complimentary valet and coat check, two options for hotels in the same parking lot, the beautiful ballrooms, and the amazing staff, you truly can’t go wrong with booking your wedding at Drury Lane! -

I had a great experience working with Drury Lane for my wedding in the crystal ballroom. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I spent A LOT of time looking at different venues before I decided to go with Drury Lane. There is a certain character that the space has that is extremely hard to find in the Midwest without breaking the bank. The second you walk up to the door at Drury Lane it is like you are transported to the 60s. It was this wow factor, raving reviews and the willingness of the staff to accommodate our needs that ultimately led us to go with them. While I was excited to find Drury Lane, I was further surprised by the quality of service and presentation that followed. The food was unlike any other wedding food I had ever had and its presentation was above and beyond as well (Highly recommend the onion soup). In fact, one of my most frequent compliments of my wedding was to rave about the food and how it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. I also recollect the waiters/waitresses as being very friendly. We had extra food at the end of the wedding so they packed it up for us.
Overall, if you are looking for a beautiful and memorable wedding without breaking the bank, Drury Lane is definitely a place to check out. If you do choose to go with them, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. -

I am so incredibly happy with the venue choice for my wedding- Drury Lane. We worked primarily with Kara, and she was so fantastic. She was very responsive, had good insight and advice, and was super organized throughout the entire planning process and the day of, which I really appreciated because it made everything go smoothly. The chandeliers are stunning, probably my favorite thing about the aesthetics of the venue. As far as food, we received many compliments on all of the courses, especially dinner, which we chose filet and stuffed chicken. My only complaint is that the courses were a bit longer than they should have been. The venue had several other events going on that night, so I don't know if the kitchen was backed up for everyone or not, but we were definitely behind schedule. My guests did not seem to notice, however, and all had a great time. We received nothing but compliments about Drury Lane. Also, it was extremely convenient for us that the Hilton was right next door because we had a lot of out of town guests. Bottom line, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! -

We had our wedding at Drury Lane and can not rave enough about it! Megan went above and beyond to make sure our day was special! We had our reception in the Crystal Room and it was just BEAUTIFUL!!! I looked at hundreds of other places and we knew we had to have our event at Drury Lane the moment we stepped in the room! Every guest commented on how beautiful everything was and the food! Best. Food. Ever. We had the steak and chicken and both were excellent. The whole staff worked really hard during our event and we could not have been happier! Oh and did I mention how affordable this was?? Ruth worked really hard to stay in our budget and you get SO much for your money! If you are hesitant on visiting Drury Lane, don't be!!! This place is awesome! -

We recently had our reception at Drury Lane in the Crystal Room on 10/11/14. Overall we were very pleased with how Drury Lane worked with us to make it a beautiful night. Guests are still raving about how amazing the food and service was. We had a few hiccups but Tammy and Drury Lane were quick to respond to them and left us feeling very happy about our reception. After doing a lot of research we found that the price was very reasonable for what we got and that we liked that you paid for the price of the entrée our guests picked and not just the most expensive one (like a lot of other reception places make you do). Great flexibility on dropping things off and meeting with them. -

We had our reception here at Drury Lane. It came recommended by a friend of my Mother who's duaghter had used them. Their prices were very good and we got a deal since we booked them on a Friday. We had a guestlist of about 160 people. The food was provided with our package and it was very good. We loved the food tasting and picking out exactly what we wanted. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. Phone calls were returned quickly. We had a candy buffet and they set it up for us prefectly. The location is great with 2 hotels in the same parking lot. As part of our package deal we got to stay at the hotel on the night of our wedding for free. I would highly recomend having you wedding reception here!

Drury Lane is a gorgeous venue to hold any event, but particularly weddings. This venue has a vintage feel to it with its lobby that features a theatre setting, and lots of open space. Drury Lane has multiple halls to hold any size event. Our wedding had roughly 500 guests. They were all accommodated with ease in the cocktail area, as well as inside the hall. The high ceiling makes the hall appeal lovely, and gives room to accommodate any size! We personally dealt with Lesley Rottsolk who's one of the event managers at Drury Lane. We met with her roughly around 5 times. Our meetings were detailed, and Lesley cleared all the questions we had. She was also present there during our wedding reception to make sure everything was taken care of, and while she made a shift switch with her colleague, she ensured that one of our wedding coordinators knew about it. Since my husband and I did not have much time to enjoy our dinner, Drury Lane staff was happy pack our dinner for us. If you book your wedding with Drury Lane, you receive your wedding night stay free at one of the three hotel near by. We chose Double Tree and we received a suite style room with desserts and champagne. We highly recommend this venue for weddings! -

Overall I loved Drury Lane. The waitstaff was wonderful- props to Ted our server at the parents table! Tammy was our coordinator and she was very professional and helpful. We gave our guest a choice of stuffed chicken breast or NY Strip Steak, both were excellent. I wasn't crazy about their choices for appetizers because so many were pastas. We picked tomato basil soup and got lots of complements. The hors d'Oeuvres were great, vegetable
quesadillas, mini crab balls with remoulade sauce, seafood beggars purses. We had the Crystal Room - the bride pick it because it had a private cocktail hallway. The Drury had the best price in the Chicagoland area. Our guest thought the Crystal Room was beautiful. My biggest complaint was that the head of the catering department is impersonal and not flexible. I wanted black table clothes and black chair covers (no bows). I got a $2 quote from The Chair Couture and wanted to use them. Drury Lane said I had to use their vender which was double the price. I didn't understand why I didn't have to use all their preferred venders (cake, photographer, florist) just the linen & chair cover venders - kickbacks I suspect! In the end I haggled the price down to $3. If I had to do it again... I would still use the Drury. They set my room up perfectly and were so nice! Thanks Drury for a wonderful evening. PS. Brunch the next day a must! Make reservations! -

Drury Lane is a great place. The food is good and reasonable priced (for receptions)! Staff was very friendly. They set everything out. They let me have "names" instead of table numbers and put extra items on the tables. Since we didn't make the minumium, they boxed up our leftover main dish to take home. I do wish they went over the details more. I didn't put the place cards in alphabetical order and they didn't do that either. They also do not like to respond by email, which I think is strange (email address is provided). You can not charge the reception, just the $500 deposit. A beautiful place though! Our wedding date was based on when Drury Lane was free...and the dates fill up! -

Wouldn’t recommend for wedding
Being in the industry myself, you would think they would be more accommodating to help or at the very least, charge you more to help with certain requests but once you sign the contact the tone changes. They are a business and whatever makes sense for their business they will do. Expect things to change a month or weeks before your wedding, due to a better event happening. Room change can happen at any time. Vendors cannot come in until 4pm , 2 hours before most receptions start. We did the tasting and the food was not good but they make you wait 3 months before the wedding to taste- it’s too late to change or move venues at that point. We had mocktails during our reception and guests were told the bar didn’t have the items to make simple drinks. Overall I wouldn’t recommend, If I could go back I would have chosen to get married at The Drake Hotel in oakbrook, you can tell they value your business and it was the bridal shower event of my dreams. People are still talking about it months later. Hope this helps future brides 😊 -

Where to begin...SO MANY ISSUES WITH THIS VENUE!!! I hate saying it because we were absolutely shocked, we had heard such good things about this venue and were SO excited for it. It is a beautiful venue, however that's about all the good there is to it. I do believe it may have something to do with who our event coordinator was (Brandon), but there were so many issues on the day of the wedding as well as afterwards that we had to deal with.
1. Brandon convinced us that our cocktail hour items were enough to feed our guests (self serve, we had 6 appetizers, 200 pieces each for some of them and 100 pieces for others which Brandon had convinced us would be enough for our 300 guest wedding). Mind you, our appetizers were completely gone 25-30 minutes into cocktail hour. This was a huge embarassment for us and our families, especially with my family all being from out of state and expecting to have at least some appetizers. There were guests showing up a little late who barely got to eat any or didn't have any at all. Very upsetting.
2. Our family table had a few missing entrees that were never served to them. And that's just us knowing after our immediate family told us they had issues with the dinner service. We can't imagine that our other guests did not have any issues either and we just aren't aware of it.
3. One positive reason for why we wanted to book this venue was so that we could provide our own alcohol/liquor. We did just that, we had 26 of the 750 mL handles of Hennessy and 12 handles of Glenlivit 12 for only 275 people that showed up, plus the premium open bar courtesy of the venue. The bartenders ended up not communicating with neither my husband or my wedding planner in terms of keeping track of how many bottles were being used/opened, and how many were left over and unopened at the end of the night, because they had told us that anything that was unopened would be ours to take home. My father in law noticed that there were several bottles of Hennessy left over (we are estimating about 6 unopened) and 5 bottles of Glenlivit at the end of the night, which he saw with his own two eyes (and my uncle confirmed it as well as they stayed at the hotel next door) venue workers taking the bottles out of the venue (bringing them outside). Nobody questioned it at the moment because they had told us to come back and pick them up on Monday or sometime that week. When we got in contact with our coordinator Brandon, he informed us that there was NO ALCOHOL LEFT OVER. UNBELIEVABLE AND SHOCKING that they had the audacity to lie to our faces about our alcohol that we PAID THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR. After we kept pressuring Brandon and asking and questioning about what happened to our liquor, and how no one had contacted us regarding that, he kept avoiding it and pushing it off. A few days later he ended up telling us that he found 3 bottles of Glenlivit in a worker's locker. We then asked where our Hennessy was if he found the Glenlivit, however he insisted that there was none left which is an utter lie. We sent our brother to go pick up the Glenlivit and for some reason Brandon gave him a Crown Royal shooter, which wasn't ours and made us wonder if he had just given us someone else's alcohol to cover up for losing ours (maybe he gave ours to someone else too??!) A few days later we called him again, he said to give him 2 days to look for the Hennessy one last time, and after not hearing from him as promised, we called him on the 3rd day and he said he had 2 bottles of Hennessy for us. Sidenote: He definitely asked us if we had any kind of label or marking on our bottles to identify, and we blindly said that we did not. So we are almost certain that he went out and personally bought 2 bottles of Hennessy for us to cover his behind.
TOO LONG DIDN'T READ: THE VENUE STOLE OUR ALCOHOL AND TRIED TO LIE ABOUT IT!
4. They didn't dim the lights like we had asked ahead of time for our first dance and our parents dances, there were a bunch of other smaller things that just added up like our things getting lost at the venue, or very disorganized set up and poor communication with us and our wedding planner. For example, I had bough a box of glowsticks for our guests for our dance floor, which we dropped off in a box the day before the wedding as we were instructed to. They were supposed to be brought out by the event coordinator and wedding planner for the reception however when our wedding planner went to go find them, they were no where to be found and Brandon insisted that we never dropped them off, which again was another lie. Also, the food was very average but nothing worth the price we paid for it.
All in all, just be careful about these things if you do decide to go with this venue. Overall it's a stunning venue and I think the biggest thing is to be sure to choose a better event coordinator if you are able to! -

Drury Lane is beautiful, glamerous, old-school with lots of glitzy chanadilers. The food is good and the have perfected an assembly-line type system. Overall, they are a banquet hall. If you're planning your wedding ceremony and reception there, don't expect to get same service or individualized attention as you would get from a hotel banquet facility. The prices are reasonable so don't expect flexibility in their menu, decor, timing, etc. It also takes them a while to get back to you! They use faxing or mailing vs. email and don't take credit cards, which makes things a bit more inconvenient. You basically get what you pay for! I think they are ok for simple, straight forward weddings, if you are on a tight budget. In my case of ethnic wedding with a very American menu and a bid colorful decor, I had to explain things over and over! After all that, for the wedding, they used the wrong linens and put the sweet-heart table backwards! They changed the linens last minute to the correct ones, but the sweetheart table...I just decided not to make a fuss, enjoy the evening and go with the flow after all the work!!!! Remember you get what you pay for, so choose your site carefully! -
