Organized and genuine wedding photographer

Emily did an amazing job capturing our wedding day! I immediately knew I wanted to work with her when she shared her organization and predetermined schedule. It was a huge relief knowing that photography wasn't one of the many things I had to worry about. Emily was flexible, kind, responsive, and very easy to get along with. Our engagement shoot was the day before our wedding and she did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable, laughing with us, and keeping the process genuine. She kept in touch after the wedding and delivered all products as promised, in the timeline promised. I highly recommend her work!

We love Emily!!

Emily photographed my engagements, bridals, and my wedding last year, and is the kind of person that you feel instantly comfortable with. She was able to make me and my now husband feel confident in front of the camera and was always prepared with a way to pose us. Her preparation leading up to the wedding made me feel confident in her, and I liked that she was prepared with the perfect shot list. The day of the wedding, Emily was the star vendor. She was in charge while being polite, was flexible when the timeline went sideways (due to late groomsmen), did some excellent problem solving, helped me feel and look my best, and had no issue directing a large group. For our Catholic wedding, she was able to get the perfect shot without disturbing the ceremony. She was prompt in returning our photos to us. I love her editing style, and I thought we received the perfect number of photos – the candid’s, the posed photos, the silly photos – like a broken bridesmaid’s shoe, and all the ones in between. Investing in Emily was 100% worth it!

Light and airy to perfection!

Emily is amazing! She makes you feel comfortable, confident and beautiful. I am not the biggest picture taking gal, but she made it fun and comfortable! Plus the photos come out amazing - couldnt have asked for more. In addition, everything remained on schedule (or if it didnt, I didnt know about it!) which from what I have heard about, is not always typical. She was amazing and I truly cannot recommend her enough.

We love Dreamy Elk!

Emily is a visionary! We love how she and her business partner perfectly captured our special day, she made it difficult to narrow down our favorites (which is a great problem to have!). The candid and posed photos of us as a couple, as well as all the little detail shots and photos of our wedding party and guests came out amazing. Dreamy Elk is the BEST!

Dreamy Elk was one of our very first vendors to book for MANY reasons. After our engagement, I began my research to find a photographer to fit our personalities and style. When I found Emily's Instagram I think I actually exhaled in relief. Emily's style is so light and dreamy. She knows how to capture those sweet, romantic moments between couples without making it seem forced or disingenuous. Our initial contact took place right before Austin's "Snowpocalypse" in February 2021, with our first meeting scheduled for that week. Emily was extremely patient as we navigated freezing temperatures, power outages, no running water, etc. while trying to find a time to meet. When we finally met up, I felt so comfortable and at ease in Emily's company. She is warm, kind, and dependable, and not to mention extremely talented in what she does. It was an easy choice to move forward with Emily! I loved having Emily with us throughout our engagement. I highly recommend the Diamond Package, which includes engagement and bridal portrait sessions. My husband and I loved the opportunity to get to know Emily more before the big day. I felt so calm on my wedding day, and a huge reason for that is Emily's professionalism and dependability. She captured our day perfectly and we couldn't be more thankful for these memories!

Incredible Photographer!

Emily at Dreamy Elk Photography is absolutely incredible! My husband and I hired her for our engagement and wedding photos and they all turned out better than we could have dreamed of! Her processes are streamlined and she goes out of her way to provide extra special touches, making the whole experience easy and fun. She knows exactly when and how to command attention and when to blend into the background. Again, I can't emphasize enough how beautiful the photos turned out - plus there are tons of really great action and nighttime photos. Hiring her is the best decision you could make!

Best Photographer !

Emily Ross with Dreamy Elk Photography is a dream wedding photographer. Seriously, you couldn’t ask for better! We met on a photo shoot a year before my wedding, where she photographed me modeling for a wedding venue and dress boutique. I instantly knew I had to have her as my wedding photographer, and fortunately for me she had the date available!

Her style and attentiveness to detail made my photos so beautiful and we couldn’t be happier with them! She helped with finding the venue for my bridals and they turned out so beautiful. Emily was very efficient and made sure we got more than enough photos (because I arrived late) and she was never flustered or annoyed at the time limitation! I’ve never felt more beautiful than I do in my bridal photos, because I really feel as if Emily captured who I am in the photos, not just a pretty dress and makeup. On the wedding day she showed up on time and got THE most amazing photos. She and her assistant captured our wedding day so unbelievably well. Our family and friends love looking at the photos and everyone always says not only how beautiful the photos are, but how well they captured the emotions and little details that made up our day!

I could honestly go on forever about Emily and I’d love nothing more than to give her 10/5 stars, but I’ll stop here and just say that she will go above and beyond for not only your photos, but for you. She really cares about you and your day, and that’s what makes her such an amazing photographer! We were all more than happy with Emily and the photos she delivered, and I know you will be too!

Romantic Dreamy Wedding Photos

Book Dreamy Elk Photography!

We absolutely loved having Emily at Dreamy Elk Photography as the photographer for our wedding. She was very professional and answered all the questions I ever had before and on the day of. I’m so thankful she was available and was willing to work our wedding in with very short notice. She was even able to work with our schedules to make an engagement session happen which was included in the package we chose.

After it was all said and done, I had some questions and requests on a few pictures. She was fast in responding to my concerns, and was willing to fix a couple things.

Emily was truly amazing. She was prompt, professional, and did not waste time. She knew exactly what to do and I loved that she told everyone what to do and made it happen. She stuck to our tight schedule and got all of the pictures we wanted! From our engagement session, to our wedding and even after- Emily was responsive, helpful, precise, and so organized. Timeless Photos

We worked with Emily for our wedding in April and our photos came out as dreamy as we hoped! She was super easy to get along with and very punctual on everything. When we received the photos, we loved looking at them and we even saw that she had gotten great photos of our guests at the reception which was such a nice surprise!

My husband and I could not be happier about choosing Emily with Dreamy Elk Photography for our engagement and wedding photos! She is extremely personable, professional and fun to work with. I really appreciated that she was prompt in responding to any questions or concerns I had, especially during the uncertainty of planning a wedding during a pandemic. It is very clear that Emily genuinely loves what she does and truly cares about her clients. I loved her attention to detail by providing tips and tricks for everything. Never taken professional pictures before? Don't worry, she'll guide you every step of the way! Emily got our photos back to us in a timely manner and WOW! When we got our wedding photos back, we were blown away! They are absolutely gorgeous! And she captured everything! It meant a lot to me that she not only captured the "must have" wedding shots, but she got tons of great pictures of all of our guests! Emily captured the most stunning photos with such unique framing and attention to detail. I know I hate long reviews, so I'll keep this short for you. If you're looking for a photographer and Emily Ross is on your list- hire her. She's that good. The photos she took for us were the highest quality, she was unbelievably helpful and flexible in getting pictures done before and on the day of the wedding. And she has been a treat to work with through the entire engagement, wedding, and marriage as we've been ordering different prints and photos from her. I cannot stress this enough: Emily didn't just take pictures at our wedding, she made our wedding better.

Emily captured wedding magic - she is the BEST!

I really can’t say enough good things about Emily and Dreamy Elk Photography. From our very first into phone call a year before our wedding, she was fun, passionate, and so organized/proactive! I felt instantly that I could trust her with our big day because of her confidence, talent, and professionalism. Emily leaves no detail to chance, and provides such helpful guidance along the way. She was the one who gently persuaded us to do a first look (omg best decision ever, it was such a special part of our day and gave us more time to be just the two of us for photos). She sent us style guides for our engagement photos (that look like professional magazines, everything Emily does is polished and elegant) - thanks to her tips on what to wear and how to style, our engagement photos turned out so so well!! And then she worked hand in hand with our wedding planner, my stylists, and the DJ to make sure every photo we would want (and some we didn’t realize we needed) would happen. She really became a friend to us, and we could tell how much she loves what she does. It made it easy and so fun to have her along with us throughout our wedding day. She made sure we have 100s (actually 1,000 to be exact) beautiful, magical, fun, joyful photos that capture our wedding in the very best way. And to top it all off, she designed a beautiful wedding album for it and made that process so easy. The USB with our final photos on it is rose gold and it came with a handful of surprise magnets of our wedding photos! This was the most important investment of our wedding, and Emily made sure it was 10000% worth it. Thank you Emily, so so much!!

Can't recommend her enough!

It took me a year to get around to writing this review, but I had to finally do it because Emily is such a joy to work with! She's amazingly responsive and organized (photos after the ceremony were a breeze), she's great at getting you to loosen up in front of the camera, and her photos are absolutely gorgeous - she has an eye for interesting locations and poses, and the shots are just artful.

She's also super dedicated to her clients - she had a baby about three months before our wedding, and was still on top of my bridal shoot, wedding photos, and all the travel and editing that came with them. I can't recommend her enough!

Invitations for the Win!

I had been admiring the work of Dreamy Elk (aka: Emily) for several years, but had not had a reason to contact her. I finally got the chance to ask her to design (2) separate sets of invitations for a Bachelorette Party. I knew I wanted a booklet invitation (which I knew would be more time intensive) and then a separate flat invitation, and I only gave her about a week and a half to complete the order! Emily was amazing and created exactly what I wanted, made the changes I requested, and got everything completed in the timeline I requested. Her pricing was fair and upfront- every time something needed to change (whether an increase due to assembly, or a reduction because less material was used) she communicated every step of the way. This was probably the easiest experience I have had with having custom invitations made. I'm excited to use her in the future to make card books for myself!!

Phenomenal Photographer & Warm Personality

I highly recommend Emily for all your photo needs! She did an amazing job capturing my wedding and bridal shoot. I was concerned because I have always struggled getting pictures of myself that I liked, but after receiving my bridal portraits back, all my worries were put to rest. Emily did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and she was able to get a genuine smile. When I set out to find my vendors, I was looking for quality as well as a personality I would feel comfortable with being with me during my wedding day. I definitely found that in Emily. My photos are what I will have with me years in the future and they are the most important investment you will make in the wedding planning process. Anniversary Shoot

My husband and I had an anniversary shoot with Emily. She is so knowledgeable and professional. She helped us feel comfortable every step of the way. Emily was very accommodating and worked hard to streamline all the photo sessions even though our wedding format was little different from what she is used to doing. The pictures are of a great quality, and really capture the essence of our wedding. Both Emily and her assistant were very unobtrusive and worked with the flow of the wedding to get the best shots they could. I appreciate Emily's dedication to the agreed upon timeline and her ability to keep things going even when the weather and guests were not cooperating.

I also enjoyed the work she did on our engagement photos. She traipsed with us all over the place finding the most picturesque spots. Emily really has a knack for getting the best angles even if her subjects are not always the most photogenic.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Emily. My new husband and I (and our families) couldn't be more pleased with how our engagements, my bridals, and our wedding photos turned out. Emily was so easy to work with from the first conversation we had, and she was so much fun to work with in person. We couldn't believe how much fun (or easy) taking pictures was with Emily, and she has such a great way of giving guidance, but letting the moment unfold naturally. She is totally unobtrusive but still beautifully captures the special moments. Emily was flexible, energetic, and everything we wanted in our photographer!

I cannot praise Emily enough! She was our photographer both for our engagement pictures and wedding day. She took the time to get to know us, and what we wanted. She is really accommodating, and at the same time, she'll tell you what to do to get great pictures. She was able to capture so many fantastic details from our wedding day, and so many things I really didn't even notice during the ceremony or reception, because there's just so much going on. I was so pleased she got pictures taken of the flowers, our rings, exit car, and so many other details that now we'll remember forever. My number one rule for the vendors is I wouldn't hire a person I wouldn't invite to the wedding. Emily is such a great person to be around, after having her with us on these special days I end up feeling she's more of a friend of ours than a vendor. Also, just a few days before the wedding I had this idea for a group picture with heart balloons, I asked her if that would be possible, and she was totally in! Our pictures are gorgeous and I can't stop looking at them.

Emily is very laid back and welcoming. She made both of us feel very comfortable but also helped us enjoy the sessions. Working with Emily was wonderful! She walked me through every step of the photography process and I never once felt stressed, overwhelmed, or confused by her approach. She was so communicative and professional; our venue got flooded the day of, and we had to scramble to find another venue on the other side of the city; Emily's work was seamless, and she was right on board with all of our wacky last-minute changes. Not to mention, the photos were marvelous and captured our day so perfectly. Every person who we shared our photos with was just as impressed as we were. Emily was wonderful to work with. We had do unexpectedly move our venue 5 days before the wedding and she was so sweet and understanding- she said to let her know if we needed anything (and she meant it)! Emily and her assistant worked with us on the wedding day to take outdoor photos while it was sprinkling. The photos were absolutely beautiful (lighting and quality), it is going to be hard to narrow down our favorites.

I was the fifth bride in my family to have Emily as our photographer. I had seen her perform stellar work and capture beautiful photographs with my other sisters and cousins in the past! Im not exaggerating when I tell you that the the day after my fiancée proposed, I messaged her to see if she had our wedding date available! Thank goodness she did because she made my wedding/bridal photos a breeze. I was so worried I would come across awkward in front of the camera, and my husband isn't exactly a total natural either. Emily told us small adjustments to make during our photographs, laughed with us and made it feel fun and special. She has an eye for capturing moments during your wedding that you'll look back on and treasure (because let's be honest you don't get to enjoy but a few details because the day flies by and a ton of people want time with you). I would highly recommend Emily to anyone who wants a photographer to capture all the special and lovely moments of their wedding. So book her and cross it off your list as one less thing to worry about :)

The first time my now-wife and I met Emily, we knew she was the right photographer for us, and every interaction we've had with her since has further confirmed that. We were initially drawn to Emily by the strength of her portfolio and how well her pricing fit our budget, but she has really exceeded our expectations on every level—particularly in her organizational skills, general sense of competence, and the ease with which she works with people.

She enjoys getting to know every couple she works with, and when we discovered a shared affinity for American Idol, Pentatonix, and Zilker Botanical Gardens (where I proposed to my wife!), we knew that beyond all of her technical skills, she was a great choice based on personality.

Emily was a complete professional on our wedding day, and her photos did not disappoint. We sing her praises to everyone who asks and are so glad that we invested in her services; the quality of her work and the entire experience is incomparable. As someone who would run away from cameras in her younger days (literally), I definitely needed a photographer who was patient and able to tell my clueless self what to do in photos. Emily's personality balances friendly and authoritative perfectly: she puts you at ease and doesn't ever make you feel silly or dumb for having no natural flair for posing, BUT she does, in fact, direct you and help to adjust your pose to make sure the shot turns out right. Folks, this sounds simple, but it's incredible how many photographers just stand there, give you no directions on how to arrange your limbs, and snap pictures hoping for the best. Then, after the fact, you're thinking, "Wait, why did s/he not tell me there was a stray hair in my face or that my hand looked weird?" Thank goodness this does NOT happen with Emily! She has a keen eye for detail in composition and does everything in her power to make sure nothing is out of place.

She was also extremely flexible when the weather got in the way of our plans for both the engagement and bridal shoots. The first shoot had to be moved indoors, and the second had to be rescheduled with one day's notice. Having Emily right there with us—fully committed to making things work—helped to make a stressful situation far more manageable.

As for the wedding day itself, Emily was incredibly organized. She captured all the key moments with just herself (no second shooter) and was unobtrusive during the ceremony but assertive outside of that as needed.

We could not be happier with our wedding day photos and had so much fun on the other shoots as well. We really liked that the bundle we picked came with photos on disc, physical prints, and the wedding photo album, which she did a STUNNING job on. She took beautiful photos, edited them to perfection, and was an all-around joy and godsend to work with. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional wedding photographer at a great value; we love her!

Hiring a great photographer was a high priority while planning our wedding. It was an easy decision as I had always admired Emily's work. Essentially, I always knew who was going to photograph my wedding, I just needed to find the right groom... In which I did!

Emily is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but an extreme professional as well. My husband and I had a destination/cruise wedding. This requires not only great organization skills, but also great flexibility. Emily surpassed our expectations in every way possible. Our memories were in great hands with Emily in charge of capturing all of our special moments. As is evident while looking at her website, Emily posses great talent and passion for her art. In conjunction to this, she also helped make the entire process as smooth as possible, relieved any of my stresses, was well organized, and was able to "go with the flow" (which is a huge plus when you have a 87 people on a cruise ship).

I would highly recommend Emily to anyone wanting high quality photos and great service. You will be glad you did!

Emily was absolutely fantastic and extremely professional in the product and service she provided for our big day. She's friendly, very personable, and has always done the things she said she would do. Not only is her photography very high quality but the way she brings it all together is what any customer would find aesthetically pleasing- and I'm talking about everything from photo albums to the design on the outside of a CD case that stores the memories from our wedding and the big events leading up to it (like bridal portraits, etc.). She was a graphic design major so maybe that explains it!

To be honest, though, I think any opinion that I have as the groom is subject to rebuttal by the opinion that REALLY matters... the bride. And I have heard her say on multiple occasions how glad she was that we chose Emily. So there you have it- my opinion has been affirmed!

Overall, we had a great experience- not only at the wedding, but also with engagement photos and all of those good things. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone competent, professional, affordable, and fun to work with. 5 stars, hands down.

Emily was an outstanding photographer for our wedding and we could not have been more impressed with her expertise, value, and helpfulness. Working with her was so enjoyable, and she was very flexible in helping schedule photo sessions pre-wedding. Apart from her great photography, Emily was a pro when it came to helping my wife and I through reception photos, and she gave great advice throughout the night when we didn't know what to do (i.e. cutting the cake, grand entrance to the reception, etc.). I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Emily was amazing from the moment I first met her to the weeks after the wedding was over. Her photography is amazing as you can just tell from the pictures on her website, but you don't realize how much more a photographer is than just their pictures. You work with them through all the planning leading up to the wedding and beyond. Emily is so fun to work with and has a lot of experience with weddings so she knows and remembers the little details that brides usually forget leading up to the big day, which is such a big help. For example: my husband was so impressed that when we went to cut the cake Emily told us what we should do... you never practice cutting the cake or even think about it until the time comes and that was a relief because we were so confused! I could go on, but I know there is not another photographer who exceeds all "5 categories" from above as easily as Emily does. I would do it all again with Emily because she made the whole wedding process so much easier for me!!

Emily was wonderful from our initial meeting. We instantly had the same ideas and agreed that a more candid, laid-back approach is what we wanted for our wedding. She helped us plan a first look shoot, got our formal photos done before the ceremony and was even able to adjust when we needed more time for makeup. My wife selected Emily to do our recent wedding. 2nd best decision she's ever made, next to saying YES! Great mix of pose vs candid shots. She even made me look better than I thought I looked, and that's hard....oh and the bride looked great too. She was actually TOO AMAZING because we can't seem to narrow down which pictures to select with our package. Emily has a great eye for the shots & even made our "pinterest" ideas come to life. Emily is professional, personable, and accommodating, and the quality of her work is awesome. Emily was hands down the best vendor at our wedding. I have been to weddings where the photographer blocks the view of guests to get a good shot, but Emily managed to get all the important photos without disrupting the moment. She was so good that I had guests come up to me during the reception and ask where we'd found our photographer. She even stepped in and bustled my dress when the wedding coordinator couldn't figure it out. The photos came out quickly and the quality was excellent. We were so pleased with Emily, and I recommend her highly as a wedding photographer.

The photographer was available during all phases of the wedding and stayed late into the reception. She captured all of the poignant moments in an artistic manner. My lovely bride did such a wonderful and thorough job planning, researching and finding the perfect things for our wedding. She would run everything by me and I was supportive of whichever made her the happiest! She was looking forward to meeting with Emily as our photographer, so OF COURSE I was thrilled, too ;) Emily is very excited about what she does and does a great job at outlining the whole process. I am the mother of the bride, and able to be a part of the bridal portraits as well as the wedding event. The photography for our wedding was one of the most important things for me. I wanted beautiful, professional, but still natural photos from this incredible day! I wanted someone that was efficient and organized while still being comfortable and enjoyable to see for 8 plus hours in one day! I found ALL of this (and more!) in Emily.

I have been familiar with Emily's work for a few years now and thought of her instantly when looking for wedding photographers. I was sold right away but contacted a couple others to "play it safe." There was seriously no need to have contacted anyone else. Emily's demeanor, pricing, and abundance of options blew everyone else out of the water. There was no doubt in my mind that she would be the perfect photographer for my Bridal portraits and Wedding day.

Emily is more than willing to travel for your event so we did my Bridal Portraits in Dallas, Tx and the wedding in College Station, Tx. She was prompt and ready to go for both days and helped with primping, soothing, and encouraging. She finished my bridals in a matter of DAYS and I am floored with how beautiful they are.

And our Wedding! Oh my goodness, Emily got every angle imaginable and must have been running laps around us and I had no idea! She was never obtrusive or "in the way" We have photos taken by other friends of the event and Emily was never shown in those! That's saying a lot because I have seen weddings where the photographer is a quite a distraction! We just got our photos back (1,000 of them!!!!) and they are better than I could have ever imagined. She captured every moment and it's such a blessing to be able to relive our wedding day through these extraordinary photos.

You would be doing yourself a HUGE favor to hire Emily. The time, energy, and care she puts into you, your special day, and your photos is unmatched. We love Emily and are SO glad she was there to capture the perfect day!

Emily was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Our photos were also posted in a very timely manner. We feel her packages are very affordable and she was willing to work with us and our budget. On the day of the wedding, Emily showed up early to our reception venue to take pictures. After, she met up with us to photograph our wedding. She was very organized and prepared- everything went very smoothly. Emily was a joy to work with and we would highly recommend her to anyone!

We used Emily for the rehearsal dinner on 6/14 (the wedding was 6/15) and loved it. She was very professional and was really kind to all of the people there. She got along with everyone- from the college students to the grandparents. We would definitely use her again, but not too soon since our 3 daughters are 15!

We really enjoyed Emily. We knew her from being in the same organization in college, and had seen her photography there and really liked it. Emily was super nice and super accommodating to our busy schedules and high demanding wedding plans! We loved her and would use her again in a heart beat.

Emily was absolutely WONDERFUL! She is so creative and has such a great eye for photography. I wasn't super comfortable being photographed and she had me sit and pose in flattering ways that made the photos look great. She was able to produce wonderful photos in the midst of a family wedding and her own! Her prices are more than fair and her photography style is awesome. We love her!!!!

Emily is everything we wanted in a photographer. She has the skill to catch you at your best and the personality to put you at ease. She was flexible with our financial limits and short (10 week!) engagement period. Additionally, she was incredibly prompt at returning photos to us after our wedding. She was even kind enough to pitch in and help the with some of the details on the day of our wedding that had nothing to do with photography. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing professional, beautiful photos.

Emily does a wonderful job. She is on top of things from the beginning, but she never overwhelms you during the preparation process. She is also very prompt to respond to any ideas or you may have about the photo shoots. She is always open to creative,and fun ways to do things.
On the wedding day, she arrived with plenty of time to check out the area and to make sure she found the best spots for photos. The family portraits session goes smoothly and quickly because she already has a system to everything. Emily is also very detail-oriented, she notices the smallest and yet unique components of your wedding and captures it in photos. Within a week we got to see some of our photos and they are amazing!. It's worth waiting a couple of weeks for the finalized package because of the high quality of her work.

Emily and her assistant were great! We did a package with her that included our engagement photos and our wedding day. Our Engagement photos were AMAZING! I loved them all, she did an amazing job!

Our wedding day was a little crazy, it was raining outside so we had to do all the photos indoors last minute and the flowers were late, so it was a little chaotic. I think this threw things off a bit. We didn't really talk about indoor options if it were raining, so it was decided last minute to do them in the lobby of the hotel. The area that was chosen to do the photos was an awkward space/ akward decor and I didn't really like how some of the photos turned out. Also I felt that my veil was in my face during all of the photos prior to the ceremony and would have liked if she would have recommended that I move it, I couldn't tell at the time that it was in my face. Other than that, everything else was great!

The ceremony photos and the photos at the reception were fantastic. I think she did a great job of capturing everything that we wanted. She also arrived early to the venue which worked out perfectly because our hair and make up finished early, so we were able to start everything early without extra charge. She was very organized and helped to keep everything on time on the day of our wedding.

It took a little while to get our photos, but she does everything herself and does lots of weddings, so with it being wedding season, I expected this and she informed me of this initially when we signed!

Overall, Emily with Dreamy Elk was amazing. Her photos are of great quality and very reasonable. She did great job of capturing all the special moments of our special day! She even included a few little extras in our package. She truly was great!

Highly recommend her!

We used Dreamy Elk Photography and Design to photograph my daughter's bridals and wedding day. The photos turned out great! Emily took all the traditional shots as well as used her creative talents to produce some beautiful portraits we can cherish for years to come. Emily's professionalism showed through in her ability to take 7 hours of photos without our even realizing that she was there! She was respectful, reliable, and easy to communicate with. She was really quick to provide proofs and offered to get a bridal portrait printed and delivered in record time (within 1 week) of the photo sitting to be ready for the wedding reception. She goes above and beyond to please her clients being flexible with scheduling, accommodating our videographer, and most of all, being patient with my decision making! Basically, everything Emily says she provides on her website, she follows through on. You can count on her! One less thing to worry about. Thanks, Emily!

Oct 2022, perfect vendor. stunning photos

Emily photographed my wedding in October 2022. From the dozens of photographers my wife and I considered, Emily truly was amazing and perfect. From her website it was clear that her photography style and color tones aligned with our themes. But during initial contact and discussions it was clear that she ALSO was an incredibly structured and detailed planner. She was responsive, adaptive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire wedding process. When the day eventually came Emily knocked it out of the park. She was by far the easiest and most organized vendor we hired, and she captured every moment of the wedding perfectly. She was the perfect fly on the wall when needed and she could rope together 20 unruly family members together also when needed.

Incredible Photographer

Emily was an absolutely incredible photographer. She captured our rehearsal dinner and wedding day in addition to doing our engagement session. The photos are so beautiful, and we are so excited that our wedding season was captured so excellently. She was professional and easy to work with. It was easy to throw around creative ideas for our wedding album, and she took these ideas and made them so much better than we could have ever imagined. We had a tight schedule for photos, and she worked around this. She was very organized leading up to the wedding weekend and while she was shooting as well. Do yourself a favor and make Dreamy Elk a part of your perfect day!

Emily was so sweet. She managed to do our wedding photography as well as planning her own wedding! This did cause some delays in photo processing, but she was very good about keeping us updated on the progress and worked overtime to get the photos finished. Overall my wife and I had a great experience with Emily. Our engagement and wedding photos were fantastic. She's a great photographer and a great person to work with. The only issue was that printed photos were not a part of any package when we hired her, so it was something we had to do on our own. All in all though, a good experience.
