Hire Dream Day DJs!!

We had the pleasure of having Jake as our MC for our wedding evening, and he was absolutely incredible! Jake actually DJ’d my sister’s wedding 11 years ago, and he was so good that I knew I had to have him for my big day too.

He was such a pleasure to work with; attentive to our needs, flexible with our requests, and masterful at keeping the energy high all night long. Jake crafted the perfect playlist, kept us on track throughout the evening, and brought such a fun, professional vibe to the celebration.

I can’t recommend Dream Day DJs enough, and especially Jake! Thank you for helping make our night truly unforgettable!

Highly, highly recommend to hire Jake to be apart of your team!

We can't say enough wonderful things about Jake! From the very beginning, he was kind, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with—but what really stood out was how gracefully he handled everything on the day of our wedding.

A storm rolled in just before our ceremony, and we had to make a last-minute call to move everything inside. Amid all the chaos and shifting plans, he stayed calm, flexible, and supportive. We had several last-minute requests for some music adjustments, and he handled each one with such professionalism.

Our one goal for the wedding was to keep the dance floor alive all night long and thanks to him that goal was accomplished. He kept the energy going the entire time, we are so grateful to have had Jake as part of our team. Highly, highly recommend!

Highly Recommended Wedding DJ (and Photo Booth and Lighting!)

Highly recommend Jake from Dream Day DJs! Dream Day DJs came recommended from our day-of wedding coordinator, and from our first call, it was clear Jake is professional, attentive, and invested in making your day match your vision. My one must-have at the wedding was a photo booth, and I loved that they provide this service as well so I didn't have to contract an additional vendor. They also have a very reasonably priced option where they put a copy of each photo booth strip into an album for guests to sign, eliminating the need for a separate guest book! We really loved that. Jake also walked us through uplighting options he provides to add a little more ambiance to our venue. All in all, having one vendor provide three separate services made things efficient and easy from a planning perspective.

From what I could tell on that whirlwind of a day, everything ran smoothly and on time. What really stood out for us:
-Jake provided audio equipment for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and all went exactly as planned. He worked with us to ensure cocktail hour had a specially curated song list (Dirty Dancing themed!) and with our friend who played guitar for the ceremony and needed amplification. I was really worried about that part at first, but he emailed with our friend before the wedding to confirm logistics and equipment and then met up with him while he was setting up the space to do a sound check.
-He was very familiar with our venue (Sweeney Barn) and didn't need anything from us on the day, which was really nice, so we could focus on enjoying the pre-ceremony time with our wedding party and photographer.
-He made sure our little "asks" were taken care of, for example, ensuring that no matter how long the intros took for our wedding party we entered on a fun and upbeat part of the entrance song for the reception.
-He was responsive throughout the entire planning process, even in the time before the wedding (more than three months out) when most vendors ignore you!

Several guests have made a point to tell us since the wedding that he was an excellent DJ and the music choices, order, and mixing stood out to them. If you want a DJ who is not only talented and professional, but also genuinely passionate about making your event amazing, you should feel comfortable working with Jake.

Fantastic Photo Booth & Customer Service

We rented a Photo Booth through Dreamday DJ and we were very happy with how everything turned out! Jake was great to work with and took the time to ask us for our preferences on photo size, color, backdrop, etc. He managed the booth the whole time and we got so much great feedback from our guests. The photo quality was great and he even included an album so guests could insert a photo/note for us as a keepsake. Amazing service leading up to the wedding and the day of!

Best night!!!

We hired Jake as part of our May 2025 wedding and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Jake is extremely professional, responsive, and he really helped bring everything together on our big day. He was an amazing MC during our reception and sent out a detailed questionnaire that helped us with planning our wedding and ensuring we incorporated everything we wanted to. Jake really brought the party and kept our guests going on the dance floor for hours. Couldn’t recommend Jake and Dream Day DJs more!

Wedding of our Dreams

Jake was amazing

Can’t recommend dream day DJ enough! Jake was an AMAZING MC and DJ!! We truly couldn’t have done it without him. I really appreciated all his effort from making my bridal entrance as I wanted (he had to cut and blend so it played exactly how I wanted it), the song selections and his amazing energy. I heard back from so many guests how great Jake was too. Some of my more tech savvy friends also commented on how he had great sound systems as well. It was a little windy at our ceremony but the audio was still crystal clear.

Highly recommend!

Jake was the DJ for my sister’s wedding and received raved reviews, so I immediately knew that we wanted him to DJ our wedding. Jake has a comprehensive worksheet that helped us plan the music for every part of the day. He also met with us before the big day to go through everything and make sure that we were on the same page. The end result was perfect! From the cocktail hour, to the introductions and first dance, to the last song of the night, the music was exactly what we envisioned. Jake has an enormous catalogue of music that kept everyone of all ages on the dance floor all night long. We would highly recommend Dream Day DJs!

Wonderful Experience!

Great Emcee Who Kept the Party Going!

We hired DJ Jake to do our ceremony and reception music, and I am so happy that we did! He is very responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and during the event itself. We were grateful for the song suggestions and other recommendations for the general flow of the event that he provided us. He also went out of his way to get special music for our ceremony.
DJ Jake is a practiced Emcee and handled the flow of our reception with great care. He also did a great job of "reading" the dance floor to know what kind of music were getting people to dance.
We would hands down recommend DJ Jake to any couple looking to have a smooth-running and absolutely fun event.

Great DJ!!!

We worked with Jake from Dream Day DJs and we had a great experience on our wedding day! He was very helpful leading up to the wedding by answering any questions that we had and adapting to our requests. DJ Jake Really Delivered!

DJ Jake is the best wedding DJ I've experienced; so glad we chose him for our wedding. He was simple to work with, followed the event flow perfectly, played everything we could have wanted, and was the perfect MC! We gave him our staple ceremony songs and a bunch of other suggested songs so he could get a feel for what we liked. We had a few phone calls leading up to the wedding so we could talk through the flow and song cues. He nailed ever bit of it. I highly recommend Dream Day DJs!

Excellent DJ

Jake was extremely easy to work with, keeping in touch with us 6 months out and sending recommendations of various genres of music for us to use as inspiration. As we got closer to the date, Jake made sure to confirm each song we had chosen, sending us samples so we could be sure the right versions were used. On the day of, Jake made the day go smoothly, as all equipment was set up with no problems and he checked with us throughout the night that the music volume was appropriate. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend to anyone else!

The most awesome and professional DJ!

Dream Day DJs was the best choice for our big day! Jake was prepared with knowledge of our venue, had incredible expertise when it came to song selections, and offered a very well organized client worksheet for the entire event. The worksheet he created for us was one of our most helpful wedding planning tools as it prompted us to make decisions about the many details there are when planning a wedding! There was timeliness and professionalism in every email from him, and he often answered our questions before we even knew what to ask! We were able to provide a list of songs we wanted to have played at our wedding, and relied on his incredible read of the room for most of the night. Music for EVERYONES taste!

Jake was great to work with from our initial conversation to putting our day all together! Even with some of the changes I made last minute- he was able to adapt and help put it all together.

Dream Day Djs - Very Highly Recommend

From start to finish, we had the best experience with dream day DJs. Jake was very responsive and provided all of the information we needed before booking their services. Akhil was our DJ and master of ceremonies for our wedding day and did an amazing job. He was so friendly, welcoming, and professional. We were very particular about our music choices and had exact songs/timings to go with specific entrances, etc. Akhil incorporated all of our requests and executed them perfectly. During the reception/dancing portion of the night, he managed to include song choices that we requested, while also reading the crowd and adding songs that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. He even checked in with both me (the bride) and the groom to make sure we were happy with the music he was playing. Everyone had so much fun at our wedding, and Akhil is a big reason for that. A Fun COVID-friendly night of dancing

Akhil of the Dream Day DJs team was our DJ for the night, and he did a great job! He provided the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We were honestly thinking of not hiring a DJ at first with the COVID situation, since it’s difficult to socially distance yourself on the dance floor. However, we required that everyone wear masks at our wedding and that people spread out to dance which helped to ease our minds, and those of our guests. Three weeks and 39 100% healthy guests later, we are happy that our small wedding didn’t turn into a super spreader event.

HIghly Recommend!!

My daughter got married on October 10, 2020, and Jake was our DJ for the night at a winery in Leesburg, VA. I cannot recommend another vendor more highly than Jake with Dream Day DJs!! Do not hesitate to hire him for your wedding or other events. Communication was constant during the entire wedding preparation process, always checking in with the couple and updating them on current changes. His questionnaire is very comprehensive and he thinks of every situation. His musical choices are spot on, and his suggestions were given from his experience and expertise. He hosted the couple playing "The Shoelywed Game" and had the guests in stitches. He brought the entire room together in love and laughter. There was not a moment when the dance floor was empty.
During these challenging times it was wonderful to have such a great host to lead us again in celebration. Love goes on! Thank you so much Jake for being a part of my daughter's special day and making such happy, joyous memories for everyone!

Jake is the MAN

Jake was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Jake was the DJ and MC at my sister’s wedding and he did such a phenomenal job, I knew we had to snag him for our wedding! Jake is the extremely professional, talented and knowledgable. He helped create a timeline and understood our vision for the day and how involved we wanted him to be. He created several mashups for us (one for our grand entrance and the other for my father-daughter dance) and did a great job MCing our big day. When the reception started, people never left the dance floor. Jake throws a great party and was so easy and fun to work with. Highly recommend Jake for your wedding day!

DreamDay DJ Akhil is the best!

Akhil Handa is awesome! It was initially a bummer when Jake Ritchie was already booked on my wedding day after all the referrals and reviews but after having Akhil, I don't regret it at all. Akhil is so friendly and casual that it was very easy to plan with him. Our conversations were focused yet candid and I've never felt so stress-free. On our wedding day, transitions were so smooth and the dance floor was always packed. Totally would recommend DJ Akhil for other events.

Wedding DJ 10.26.19

We are so happy that we hired Dream Day DJs for our big day. Jake provides the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. From the beginning Jake went above and beyond to make the whole experience easy and wonderful. Jake provided us with a client worksheet to fill out electronically which was user friendly and had everything that he needed to know on it. Jake also sent out emails with links to helpful articles to look for songs for our wedding and held a virtual call for his clients one night to go over what a wedding night would look like and to answer any questions. I found both to be super helpful in my planning process. Jake also provides uplighting and photo booths, both of which we had at our wedding and were super happy with. Jake provides a space next to the photo booth for our guests to glue in their extra pictures into a scrapbook and write a message to us. This was so thoughtful of him to provide as it was so special to go through that book the day after our wedding. He also provided props with the photo booth as well which we fun! Our guests had such a great night and I, the bride, spent most of the night on the dance floor! We would recommend Dream Day DJs to anyone looking for a DJ for any occasion!

Professional, Fun DJ

We worked with Jake Ritchie, of Dream Day DJs, for our wedding. Dream Day DJs came highly recommended by our venue—and we can see why! Jake was the quintessential professional and very easy to work with. He has an online client portal and a questionnaire to make sure that he has all the information you remembered to think about—but more importantly, to have all the information you didn’t think to get. He worked with us to refine everything leading up to the wedding day, and was very responsive by phone and email. He lived up to his self-described “perfectionist” label, down to getting our family and wedding party’s hard-to-pronounce names exactly right.

Jake DJ’d and MC’d our wedding from ceremony, through cocktail hour, and the reception. He brought all his own equipment for the three different locations at the venue and managed it all himself. For the reception especially, he managed all the transitions and the introductions seamlessly. I particularly want to commend one issue we had that Jake handled well. There was a very last minute change in the wedding party due to a medical issue and we had to make changes in the introductions and the ceremony after everything was basically “locked in.” Jake rolled with the punches and our last minute back and forth changes; his deep experience made it all easy.

And it goes without saying that Jake read the crowd very well and had everyone dancing the night away. We can’t recommend Jake and Dream Day DJs highly enough.

Jake is the DREAM DJ!

Jake really is the DREAM DAY DJ. He goes above and beyond and knows how to throw a party! We told him the type of music that we wanted to be played and he came up with the perfect playlist. Dance floor was popping

Our number one goal for our wedding was keep the dance floor going all night. Akhil was incredible! He kept the dance floor packed and totally played to the crowd. We had multiple dance battle circles throughout the night and "Let me clear my throat" may have been the most epic dance floor moment I've ever seen at a wedding. We had at least 50 people jumping, hollering, and freezing on the dance floor. At one point he even got my Grandpa dropping it to Play that Funky Music. Before the wedding itself Jake even helped us with a special first dance mix that turned out amazing. Akhil and Jake brought so much joy and fun to our wedding and I can't sing Dream Day Dj's praises enough.

Excellent Experience!

Jake Ritchie, our DJ, was absolutely amazing for our wedding. We had originally planned an outdoor wedding but weather changed that to an indoor wedding. He had no problem coordinating our ceremony music and nailed our music requests perfectly even though they were slightly complicated (wanted very specific times of a song etc.). As for the reception, he queued up our entrance music perfectly and easily carried the ceremony through the first dances, toasts, and other announcements. The dance floor was kept busy all night even through our extra hour! He made sure to nail every song request and the tunes never stopped. He had great transitions and excellent song selection. His demeanor was incredibly professional and he was really great to work with. Even when planning before the wedding he had a great survey to help think about what we wanted. He asked good questions, was very helpful when coordinating over the phone and super responsive when we needed to contact him. Can't say enough positive things about Jake! He had us at "I'm a perfectionist," and he did not disappoint. We were continually impressed with Jake's responsiveness and thoughtfulness before the wedding, and he was a big hit during the wedding itself. He had our guests on the dance floor all night, handled announcements in a seamless way, worked with us on our special requests for our first dance, and made a point to tailor the wedding to everything we had talked about loving/hating. Would highly recommend using Jake as your DJ!

Jake was amazing!! Not only did he take him to talk with us over the phone (twice!) but he also was great at emailing and answering all our questions. We had 155+ people at the wedding and when the reception was over, we had to get people off the dance floor!!! Jake had all types/genres of music playing for all ages. From my cousins/friends who are 20s to uncles/aunt who are 70s, everyone was dancing!! It was amazing! Jake absolutely did an amazing job! You can't get a better DJ!

Before the wedding, you were incredibly responsive to our requests and made an effort to reach out if anything needed clarification. Your online portal made everything soooo easy! On the portal, there was an extensive list of recommended song selections for important events such as first dance, mother/son, cake cutting, etc. - we found this to be so helpful.

We booked Dream Day DJs for our wedding in Virginia without even meeting him. We knew he had a lot of experience and a great website that gave so much info! Jake came highly recommended from a trusted friend and did not disappoint. He was worth every dollar!

His online portal was a great way to get started on mapping out your big day. Everything is customizable as you plan out the ceremony, cocktail hour, introductions, first dances and flow of the night. Later on, you touch base by phone for an in-depth conversation where everything is reviewed. Jake does not miss a detail! He also allowed me (groom, huge music fan) to personally curate the cocktail hour playlist. He tracked down the audio of some rare/unique songs and made our day even more special than it already was.

He brings his own equipment (including wireless microphones etc) and is completely self sufficient so we did not have to worry about him at all throughout the night. He is also the perfect Master of Ceremonies and hit all of his cues.

Most importantly - Jake knows how to read the dance floor and keep the party moving all night long. Trust his judgement, this guy is an epic DJ and know what he is doing!

Best DJ! Our guests could not stop complimenting the music from our wedding! Jake did an amazing job and really kept the dance floor full! Even my now-husband was on the dance floor most of the night. Jake was fantastic to work with - he was very responsive from my initial inquiry and throughout the entire process. He even responded to my emails while on vacation which was so unnecessary! Jake not only played great music but was an awesome MC! He was quick to any last minute changes (like asking to give Capitals score updates during the playoff game) to changing up the reception entrance order to song requests on the dance floor. It was really a pleasure to work with Jake and he really made our wedding the best dance party ever!

Jake was amazing from start to finish. We threw him many curve balls with requesting music that we knew he wouldn't have. We offered to pay for it, but he took care of everything. He modified every song to the exact timing we wanted and kept everything running smoothly. He truly listened to what we wanted for our special day. We didn't give him much notice and wrote up an itinerary of every moment. He took that all in stride and followed it to a tee! If you plan to go this route, make sure you think of everything. We forgot to include a spot for us to give a thank you speech/toast, but that was all on us. We couldn't be more happy with the level of service that Jake provided. We would choose him again in a heartbeat for any future event and would recommend him to anyone!

Dream Day (Jake Ritchie) was great for our wedding! He was very professional and responsive and everything worked out without any issues. When I first contacted Jake, everything was crazy and he was very accommodating. I live no where near VA and had to cancel a few of our phone meetings and he was extremely understanding. Provided me with everything I needed to pick a perfect song for each event. Showed up at my wedding dressed very professional and was flexible when moving things around during the reception. We interviewed several DJs in search of the perfect person to play music and MC our wedding,
and landed on Jake after just a quick conversation with him. Our initial impression was he was
very friendly, easy going, and experienced – all of which remains true. Throughout the process, Jake was very easy to work with. He made himself available via phone/email whenever we needed, which with our schedules usually meant late at night. He talked us through all of our questions and gave suggestions whenever we couldn’t make a
decision for ourselves. Jake provided us a website which was very easy to follow, and helped us map out the night. Once we had completed his forms, we discussed it with Jake to make sure he fully understood everything we were looking for.
In addition to playing music, we had Jake set up the sound system for our ceremony and provide our uplighting. This was done flawlessly. Jake made the room look magnificent, matched them to the colors of our wedding, and perfectly transitioned the colors throughout the night to set the mood.
During the wedding, Jake did a great job on the microphone and with the music. He kept the dance floor packed. We mentioned a few songs we were hoping to hear (which we did), but gave him free reign over what else to play. Jake read the room well and keep everyone on the dance floor for the entirety of the night – younger friends and older family crowds included. When we told other vendors we had chosen Jake as our DJ, they gave us a nod of approval.
After the wedding, we could see why, and were very pleased we picked Jake. He was great from day one all the way through the last song. We highly recommend him for your event! Go Canes!

Jake is the perfect DJ. He allowed us to customize our day the way we wanted. We chose to do different songs for each bridal party member's entrance and he made it perfectly cut. He was flexible with us and provided mics for the ceremony and for our musician. He worked with us throughout the day to keep us on schedule. We were married on 7/1/17 and we truly cannot say enough good things about Jake. Hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From start to finish he listened to and helped us solidify our vision for how we wanted the reception to look and feel, and most importantly the night of he absolutely nailed that vision. Our dance floor was full the entire evening and he did an incredible job mixing songs together. With Jake you are truly hiring a DJ, not just someone who is playing a playlist of the music that you want. We got so many compliments from our guests on how awesome his work was. Jake's pricing was reasonable and we were able to figure out a combination of services that gave us what we wanted and still helped us stick with our wedding budget.

My husband and I hired Jake with Dream Day DJs for our wedding and couldn't been happier with our experience. Jake was incredible to work with! He was always very responsive, provided wonderful recommendations and really wanted to make sure that our wedding day was perfect. Jake was exceptional to work with. We had our wedding at my parents farm out in the middle of nowhere, and Jake was on time, set everything up, and made his job seem easy! He nailed the entire ceremony and reception!
We kept getting compliments all night on the music and it was a perfect reflection of the music my husband and I love. If you are looking for a DJ look no further than Jake and Dream Day DJs- they will take excellent care of you, and at a very fair price.

Jake was great! He was professional and easy to get a hold of. A few days before the wedding, he went over everything with us, which helped make the day stress-free. He also provides an intuitive wedding planning tool on the Dream Day DJs website which helped a lot. Jake Ritchie from Dream Day DJs was simply AMAZING!!!! We had countless number of friends come up to us after the wedding saying the reception music was outstanding and one of the most fun receptions they had ever been to. We had a very full dance floor the entire night. He was an excellent master of ceremonies and made sure the event flowed perfectly and on time. On the day of the ceremony, Jake came early to the venue and very prepared. He was incredibly reliable through this entire process.

Pre-Wedding, Jake was super helpful and flexible to any last minute changes. I submitted several music changes over the last few days and he was able to implement every one with ease and a smile. Jake has an incredible amount of experience and also helped advise what songs work better than others for certain parts of the night.

I cannot thank Jake enough for the wonderful job he did at our wedding!!

Jake was so amazing to work with! Not only do they have a client center on their website to organize all your music choices (which I LOVE), but you can email at any time asking for suggestions or input. Dream Day DJs made the planning process so much easier and less stressful. I've heard a DJ can make or break your wedding, and Jake definitely MADE it! The music was incredible, and he was really observant of how people were reacting to it, jotting down what people really liked. (Why did I notice him taking notes during the wedding? I'm super observant too. :-D)

We opted to include uplighting in our package and it was absolutely gorgeous! It made a huge difference, so I definitely recommend it. Also, my music choices were a little unusual maybe, so the fact that he was able to work with what I gave him was awesome. I danced the entire night and Jake had a huge part to play in why my wedding was such an incredible memory. Seriously, trust me. Stop looking. You've found your DJ.

Don't hesitate, book them - worth every penny and very affordable in comparison to other companies we looked at. Akhil the DJ was awesome and had everyone on the dance floor the whole night. He made it about us and the guests as opposed to him (which I've been to a wedding where the DJ was the main show and it was not good). Before the wedding, he had asked if there were any special requests, our music tastes, and vibes. Come wedding day, we were extremely pleased with Akhil's services. The music flowed well, he took requests from our guests, and everyone had a great time. Many of our buddies came up afterwards and said it was one of the best wedding receptions they'd been to.

My husband and I highly recommend Jake as a DJ. He was responsive, flexible, easy to work with, and made everything regarding the music, sound, A/V, etc. go incredibly smoothly for our wedding. Of all the vendors we had, he was the most accommodating and helpful. We played exactly the type of music we love and changed the vibe from the ceremony to the dinner to the dance party, just as we had described. He was even able to help keep the more rowdy guests happy who were trying to co-opt the music a bit. He turned our reception into a totally fun dance party, which was exactly what I wanted. People are still talking about how fun the dancing and music was several months later!

He was also very helpful with the ceremony and helped my officiant (who was a friend and not a professional) figure out the best options for her to use a mic and helped her set up beforehand. He also provided great uplighting and all of the other necessary equipment. We couldn't recommend him more highly!

We are so incredibly happy with our choice in a DJ for our wedding. Jake was very helpful and responsive in setting up our reservation, and Akhil was phenomenal as a DJ. We are still receiving compliments on the music "we chose" but really, we gave Akhil some suggestions and told him to otherwise feel out the crowd and play similar stuff. You never know when you give someone creative license how it will turn out, but Akhil is extremely good at what he does. The dance floor was packed all night - we had guests remark on how they'd been to many, many weddings, but had never danced for 2 hours straight. I think that is a true testament to the ability of Akhil to keep the music upbeat and flowing. We highly recommend using Dream Day DJs - especially Akhil - if you're looking for a wedding DJ.

Jake was a great fit for us and did an incredible job. He was professional and attentive to our needs through all parts of the process. His pricing was very fair and we really appreciated that it was a flat fee for music services (ceremony, cocktail, reception). He did an amazing job of playing songs that we wanted to hear in a way that our guests enjoyed. Choosing a DJ was probably one of the hardest and most important decisions we made for our wedding. We were looking for someone with good intuition to keep the crowd involved, someone who was knowledgeable and experienced, someone who took a genuine interest in not only DJ'ing our wedding, but understanding what was important to myself, my fiancee, our wedding party and our guests. We really hit a grand slam with Jake! He was quick to respond to any query or request. He went above and beyond any expectation we had for a wedding DJ. Any time we mentioned a want or desire, Jake was on it making it happen! His communications were always timely, his flexibility unparalleled, and his performance excellent! Jake was an incredible DJ and happily worked with all of our requests. He helped us to layout the reception timeline, in detail, accommodated all of our "special" dance needs and did everything with a smile on his face. Our group had a number of college football fans, and we got married in the middle of college football season, and he even played a number of the fight songs for the fans in attendance. We received a number of compliments from guests on how interactive and engaging the DJ was and how much they enjoyed the music he played. We would highly recommend Jake to anyone getting married or holding a party that needs a DJ. He is easy to work with, very professional and his fees are incredibly reasonable for all that he provides. Many thanks to Jake for making our day even more special than we thought it would be. Finding and hiring Jake was one of the best decisions I made for the wedding. The music the whole time was amazing and he really understood our personalities and the mood of the evening to keep the energy high. We really trusted Jake to make his own playlist and gave him the ability to do what he does best which was absolutely perfect. Jake was a total professional and has so much experience and knowledge which put me at ease being an out of town bride for him. He really was great and I highly recommend him! He also did a great job MC-ing the night and keeping the natural flow moving. I credit him with a lot of the success of the cocktail hour and reception.

Jake is an awesome DJ! He kept the crowd going the whole night and seamlessly incorporated a variety of styles from hip hop to country to 80s to oldies and so on. For our faux "afterparty" we asked Jake to make it more of a clubby vibe and he definitely delivered. Everyone had the best time! He also did a great job keeping everyone informed of various happenings like the cake cutting, shuttle times, our candy table, and so on. We also had Jake set up uplighting which looked really festive (especially since it was Halloween) and really set the mood for the party! I would recommend Jake to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!

Jake is a experienced professional who has perfected his craft. He also was very professional throughout the process and immediately we knew we could trust Jake to do an amazing job. It was very easy working with Jake because he had templates for us to work from and all we had to do was fill out his templates and we were set. Through his website he offered a variety of new and old fun songs to choose from which made our lives easier. We had a group dance and Jake took two songs and mixed them together for us for a flawless transition in songs. He offered a lot of other creative ideas and technical DJ skills that we did not take advantage of but if time permitted we would have. This is something that not the average DJ would have been able to do.
Overall our experience with Jake was top notch and we were very happy that he was able to DJ our wedding.

Akhil and Jake were nice and responsive from our first meeting to the day of the wedding. They answered all my emails promptly, and ran with whatever ideas we had. I never once had to worry. The day of, Akhil was so much fun and knew how to work the party. I would definitely recommend them to any engaged couple.

Jake did a wonderful job at our wedding. He totally got the vibe we were going for and kept people on the dance floor all night long. The only thing I would improve is the announcing of certain events such as the cutting of the cake and the bouquet toss. Some people did not hear these announced and miss key moments. Other than that, he did a fantastic job.

Jake at Dream Day DJs was truly fantastic. He played great music, and was super flexible with our must plays and do-not-play list. Jake Ritchie was AMAZING as our wedding DJ!! We had a blast at our reception thanks in large part to his skills!! We received so many compliments on our DJ choice and on how much fun everyone had dancing all night! The floor was always packed. Personally, I never dance at bars or weddings or anywhere, and I literally danced the entire night! It was so much fun! Jake was very professional throughout the entire planning process and our wedding day. He worked with us to make sure he understood our vision for our wedding day/night music. He has forms online to fill out which makes the process easy, and we even sent him lists of specific songs we wanted during certain portions of the day's events - he executed everything seamlessly. I booked him without hesitation because he was also my younger sister's DJ a few years ago at her wedding, and that was the most fun I've had at a wedding (and I've been to tons) - until mine last month :) You will NOT be disappointed if you book him. All around, he is an amazing vendor!!!

Jake had quite an interesting crowd to appease at my wedding and over a month post-wedding, our family/friends still talk about how much fun and how much dancing they did! Every meeting with Jake he was very enthusiastic, honest, and made suggestions which was greatly appreciated. He was very professional each time we had any interaction with him and he was quick at turning around any requests such as editing a lot of music for entrances and special dances with the bride/groom. Jake catered to my American-Bolivian background so well, as we explained to him that playing Bolivian music is a must! He not only played awesome traditional Bolivian music but most importantly, read the crowd very well and knew what to do next to keep the party going. Coming from a Latin background, the music is probably one of the most important elements of a wedding and Jake did an exceptional job! My husband’s American-Hawaiian guests were intrigued by the unique style of music that was played and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves, as well. To top off our diverse guests, we had “la hora loca” (crazy hour) to end our night. This fun Latin tradition is meant to amp up the music and energy by using faster songs with the utilization of props. Everyone LOVED this 30 minute carnival-like festival. Jake’s experience can cater towards anyone’s expectations and we are so lucky that he was part of our special day.

Jake was an absolutely fantastic DJ at our wedding just over a week ago! He provided music both inside and outside for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and everything went so smoothly it was as if he was just floating around everywhere discreetly. He showed up early to set everything up and get microphones to those who needed them, and then stayed late to wrap everything up. Leading up to the wedding, he was very responsive and flexible, and brought things to my attention that i hadn't even thought of. His new client center website is a great resource and area to complete the necessary forms and song requests. He worked off of our list but also felt the vibe of the room and made excellent decisions to keep the dance floor packed all night long! We received tons of compliments about the music and how much fun all of the dancing was, and we attribute that to Jake! We never once worried about our music because we knew we were in good hands, and we are so happy that we hired him. He is a true professional and we would recommend him to any future bride/groom!

Jake was the BEST DJ! He really took our suggested song list and picked the perfect mix of songs! We could not have been happier. He was also very flexible with providing uplighting and changing up the location of cocktail hour when it started raining. He was very professional and responsive to any questions. My wedding was on 12/06/14 and we had the wonderful Jake Richie for our reception! We could not have asked for a better DJ, he was always on top of his game. He responded immediately to any email with questions that I had, he was very punctual, and played amazing music. I gave him an idea of the music we wanted and he definitely knocked it out of the park and played music that fit all the generations that were there, which I think is hard to do!! He made a timeline of the reception and everything ran so smoothly. It was great that we did not have to worry about anything during our reception which allowed us to enjoy our day! He also provided a photobooth which was a huge hit, I recommend this to anyone getting married! My grandparents had a blast using it!! We still have guests telling us how amazing and how it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to! For that I have to thank Steve Richie for keeping the party going! Could not have had is as successful without him!!

Jake was fantastic from the first day we met with him for a consultation. He was very knowledgeable and upfront about his role in our wedding, cost, etc. We felt very comfortable with him, and decided to sign a contract. From that point, Jake was very responsive to any and all questions we had, and helped us to better plan our day. His suggested timelines and music selections were wonderful, and we were able to map out our wedding day with ease. At the event, Jake was flawless. He followed our timeline perfectly, and really interacted with our guests in an excellent manner. His bridal party introductions were excellent, and he really read the crowd to create an excellent party atmosphere for guests of all ages. We have received so many compliments on the atmosphere of our wedding, and many people have said it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Jake was fantastic all night long, and I HIGHLY recommend his services to anyone.

Jake did an amazing job as our DJ for our wedding! His professionalism, yet light and fun personality, made him extremely easy and fun to work with. He met with us in person to ensure we knew exactly what he offered and to answer any questions before we had even booked him, showing his dedication to his services. This was important to us because the DJ was the Master of Ceremonies for our reception and we wanted to make sure he was a good match for us. He showed up hours ahead of time to set up the sound system before our ceremony and provided a mic for our officiant (our ceremony was in the same setting as our reception.) One of the great things about Jake was that he provided the option for "biography introductions" for the wedding party as they walked into the reception. By giving him even minimal amounts of information about each person ahead of time, he was able to create funny yet classy intros that our guests loved! He was flexible with the timeline and working with our venue to create seamless transitions and a perfect night with amazing music!

My review is quite late because we got married back in May. We used Dream Day DJ's for the DJ portion of our reception (after dinner dancing). Jake was fantastic! The moment we began working with him, he was so easy to get ahold of. We were living in Richmond at the time so he did a Skype session with us so we could meet him. Whether it was a phone call or email he always responded quickly. When the time came closer, he was great! He sent us a whole binder of information for us to keep. He really worked with our music wish list (which was a lot) and accomadated as much as he could. He even had fun introductions for our wedding party that we sent to him (his idea). it was a surprise to the party and everyone loved it! He was very helpful and patient when trying to figure out table layout and where he could set up. He worked closely with our trio we had for cocktail hour/dinner. He even contacted them on his own to figure everything out ahead of time. The best part is you pay one rate and have him for the day so there are no worries about when he can start or stop or him booking two weddings in one day. He has a huge variety of songs and is willing to search for anything you want and he doesn't have. He was a great find and if you are looking to have a fun dance filled wedding, Jake is the DJ to hire. Thank you Dream Day DJ's!! I don't think I said it enough!

My father was a DJ back in the 80's, so I let him do the research to find a DJ for my wedding this past September. My father is extremely picky when it comes to this kind of stuff, and knew from experience that a DJ can make or break a party.

After reading reviews of Dream Day DJ's, he got in touch with Jake, who was helpful, personable, and honest about his services. Throughout the entire process, Jake was available to us via email and phone. He made time to attend a meeting with my wedding coordinator to discuss schedule and logistics, which really put my mind at ease. He offered his expertise when asked, and I really appreciated his opinions based on his experience.

When the day/night finally came, he read the crowd the entire time and would change up the plan accordingly so that the night ran smoothly (always coming to me to ask my thoughts on a change). He had a great mix of songs, both old school and new, to please the older and younger generations that attended my wedding.

Overall, we were so pleased with his services. He was very professional, but also kept the night light and fun. He is a master at smooth transitions and has a great presence as the voice of the night. I would totally recommend him for any occasion.

If anybody is looking for a DJ, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE look no further. Jake Ritchie is the BOMB!!! Not only does he have an innate ability to play the right songs at the right time, but also takes the word "professionalism" to a whole other level. First off, let me say that my now wife and I are THE most unorganized couple (that he may have ever encountered in his career), and yet he dealt with us in such a cool, calm, and collected way that we knew we'd made the right choice. With no wedding planner or coordinator, based on his extensive experience alone, he was able to map out a timeline for us and basically act as our wedding coordinator and planner. We were able to actually kick back and enjoy the evening because of him. It was so impressive to see just how calm he was, and how comfortable and relaxed he made us feel; especially in contrast with some of our other vendors. In addition, one of the reasons his business sticks out from the rest is that he charges a flat fee for the whole night (including the ceremony and reception) for as long as you want to go. Basically, he offers his services for the day without all of these other hidden fees that other vendors charge, such as a ceremony fee, hourly rates, etc. For example, we had the venue for 6 hours, and he even offered to stay extra time if the venue would have let us. His mixing abilities were also amazing. My wife and I are from different cultures and Jake seamlessly blended a mix of our favorite kinds of music together in such a way, that almost everyone was up dancing the night away. Plus, after talking with some of our guests over the next few weeks, many of them complemented on his professionalism and ability to blend in, making it all about the bride and groom. Jake Ritchie and Dream Day DJs is worth every penny and then some. He is very personal, communicative, and responsive, and we highly recommend his services. Thanks so much Jake;)

DJ Mike Wiese from Dream Day DJs did an all-around perfect job at our wedding, and we do not say "perfect" lightly! The ceremony audio was great, allowing everyone to hear the music that my brother played, and the ambiance music Mike selected. He helpfully checked in with us about the proceedings every now and then, enthusiastically announced entrants and speakers during the reception, and knew which crowd-pleasing songs would keep the dance floor packed. Mike interacted well with guests who had special requests like a particular Irish line dance or a polka, and did not bother us with extraneous day-of decisions, which was helpful. Our conversation with him earlier that week took efficiently took care of everything. Highest recommendation!
