Omar is the most incredible talent of a florist. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. The way he took care of us, our vision, and our deepest dreams for our wedding with such precision - I was able to trust him. And I am a very picky bride.
The way he loves his work shows in every decision he makes, and he just blew us away. Every single guest approached us to tell us how amazing this man was at our wedding, as well as the flowers and arrangements. We heard many times “this is genuinely the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to.” That alone speaks volumes.

Omar absolutely brought my wedding vision to life in ways I didn’t even know were possible. From our very first conversation, he understood exactly the vibe I was going for and elevated it beyond my expectations. Every arrangement was stunning, fresh, and so thoughtfully designed from my bouquet to the ceremony and reception florals. 🤍
Not only is his work incredible, but he is also so professional, responsive, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable, which is priceless when planning a wedding. I received endless compliments from guests, and I’m still obsessed with how everything turned out.

My wife and I gave them our inspiration and they duplicated it perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a more dreamy wedding. I fell in love with my bouquet. The colors complemented our wedding colors so good.

Throughout the whole process Omar was very responsive, respectful and understanding. He recreated my vision perfectly both with the bridal bouquet and the table florals. Everything from the bridesmaids basket to my bouquet and all the other small details, gorgeous & perfect. Omar was AMAZING. He was affordable, attentive and made sure my vision was executed. From the moment I met with Omar to talk about my flowers for my wedding, I knew he was going to do an amazing job.

Omar was the best. Everyone loved our flowers so much they asked if they could take them home as soon as dinner was over.
I was not the easiest bride- very indecisive, changed my mind several times, and had tons of questions. But Omar was so kind, so patient, and made sure I was happy and assured. I was nervous at first because I didn't see many photos of the style I liked (more organic) but he was confident and always assured me. And boy was I blown away!!! This is to note that I couldn't get all the types of flowers I wanted because they're in high demand/ hard to get but Omar tried his absolute best to get what he could and to still bring my vision to life with other similar flowers.
He was so responsive and took the time to answer all my questions big and small and was so flexible as well as my vision developed and changed as the wedding came closer. He was by far the best vendor I worked with and if I could get married again just to see his flowers I would! All my bridesmaids and guests said he was so nice and did such a great job.

I found Draping Wedding via Wedding Wire. After reviewing other florists, including our venue's preferred florist vendor recommendations, I went with Draping Wedding because the owner, Omar, was the only vendor who showed initiative and actually CALLED me immediately to build rapport. I was impressed by his experience. Over the next 18 months of my planning process, Omar would check in and assure me of bringing my visions to life. Aside from his professionalism, what I valued the most about Omar was his lightning fast responses to ANY text or email I sent him. This was highly assuring as it showed his reliability as a vendor. About two months before the wedding, he met with my husband and I in person so we could drop off lanterns for Omar to incorporate into our centerpieces. He had my vision memorized, with NO NOTES, as he spoke to me about my floral pieces. My husband first met Omar at this meeting and immediately had such great vibes about Omar. Aside from his reliability, responsiveness, and professionalism, he was also flexible.
On my wedding day, he showed up EARLY to check in with me. I burst into tears upon seeing my bouquet, sweetheart table centerpiece, and centerpieces for our guest tables. I found his presence comforting, especially because he assured me only he would arrange the florals and brought the altar pieces to the reception after the ceremony. I had a mini emergency that was NOT floral related before the ceremony started and he jumped into the mix to assist me. I was sad I didn't get a chance to hug him good bye before he left!
He takes extreme pride in his work and he has EVERY reason to. He's PURE talent with a great eye for aesthetics and skill to bring your vision alive. Trust me - you need Omar from Draping Weddings on your team as you prepare for the happiest day of your life. Best customer service and amazing quality of flowers
All I can say is WOW! Omar made all of my floral visions come to life at my wedding. I knew what my color theme was, but had no idea what type of flowers I wanted to use. Omar was so responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. He sent me multiple different ideas and gave me insight on what would look best. I put my trust in him and gave him some creative freedom, and I was blown away on my wedding day. I got so many compliments and almost all my guests told me the flowers were the prettiest they’ve ever seen at an event. Omar was wonderful to work with. His communication was quick and effective. We only had a handful of emails and texts and he nailed what I wanted. He is able to see the vision with only a couple of photos. His pricing for Southern California is great. He also throws in "freebies" when you send a certain amount. I got a free bridal bouquet, toss bouquet, and cake bouquet. I was stressed A LOT when it came to planning and execution, but Omar made florals so easy. Omar at Draping Weddings was the ultimate professional. We decided last minute (about a month before our wedding) that we were not going to go the DIY route and would instead hire a florist. We asked our vendor (Morgan Estate in Temecula) for a recommendation, and they said although not (yet) on their preferred vendor list, they had Omar with Draping Weddings at their venue a few times and admired his work and professionalism.
We are SO incredibly happy we decided to go with Omar. After our initial call, it was obvious to us that he valued the experience not only of us as his customers, but all of our weddings guests. He was familiar with the venue and made recommendations on where we should invest our limited floral budget, and where we didn’t need to spend - and he was 100% correct. Hearing him speak about his work and how he loved taking care of his flowers showcased an obvious pride and passion for what he does.
The day of, Omar was in and out with no issue. The venue had nothing but wonderful things to say as he showed up early to set up and had everything done so beautifully. Our centerpieces were better than we had imagined, and we took a few home at the end of the night and had them decorating our AirBnb the rest of the weekend - the quality of the flowers and how he built our centerpieces was incredible!
We had a few massive hiccups with our wedding (our caterer was a fiasco and dinner was served 2 hours late), but Omar, his service, and our flowers were a truly shining moment that we will fondly remember for many years to come. We will absolutely continue to recommend him, as will our venue and the other vendors we worked with. Thank you Omar, many blessings to you and your business!
A few mentions for the photos:
- I made my own wedding cake, Omar added the babies breath flowers to it and made it perfect without my supervision - I sent him photos and he took it from there!
- He also made my bouquet - I sent him inspo and he delivered beautifully - essentially, you can trust him with your vision
- Our photographer from the professional photo is Raven Berlin - literally perfection for wedding photographer and highly recommended
- Morgan Estate as a venue was incredible (google photos!!) and affordable
- The caterer we do not recommend is Cutting Edge Catering . Unfortunate and very saddened to say, but true. We did our due diligence and they had wonderful reviews, but we unfortunately had a very sad and bad experience. They’re since tried to make it right, but you don’t get that day back.

Omar was so amazing! He was one of the best wedding vendor choices I could have made. Our wedding was two years in the making with multiple cancellations cause of Covid. Omar worked with us even when I was so worried with everything that was going on. He was so easy to work with and put my mind at ease. When I sent him my Pinterest and IG inspos, I was honestly worried that I wasn’t going to be able to bring it to life with such a limited budget. He really worked with balancing my vision and our budget. We were able to reuse all the florals from the ceremony to our reception. I’m still in awe with how everything turned out. I do not have enough good things to say about Omar! He took the Pinterest photos I shared and used them to bring my wedding vision to life! You can tell the passion and artistry he puts into his work because he created the most uniquely beautiful arrangements to bring my boho, terracotta theme through. He also was incredibly flexible, allowing me to update my order multiple times as we figured out table numbers and flower configurations needed AND even ordered new vases for me when there were a few that arrived broken. Our wedding was on May 30th, 2021. We couldn't have made a better decision with Draping Wedding because Omar was immensely helpful from beginning to end. He had a vision already when we described what our wedding colors and theme we were aiming for. Long overdue 10 star review !
Omar and his team went above and beyond with the creativity, quality, expertise, and overall service for our wedding this past November 9, 2019 at Building 177 in Liberty Station, San Diego. I highly recommend his services to any who has a big vision for their special day!
We started from scratch as he had us bring and discuss a few of our broad ideas. Within minutes into our meeting he was describing and sketching up numerous ideas and helping us put our vision into a reality! His past weddings he had done were nothing short of very impressive with examples of structures he built from his own design, to the beautiful and artistic details of florals, draping, lighting, furniture rentals and set ups, to name a few.
As time passed throughout the wedding planning process, our ideas seemingly evolved into other things, but he was always enthusiastic to work with us to make sure the results were something that made us excited and happy. His passion for his craft brought a confidence to us to give him a creative freedom to take our ideas and go crazy in the best way.
The final product blew my mind! When he walked into the bridal suite with the florals, I could not believe my eyes. I admit I sometimes have a hard time verbalizing what I want, especially with Pinterest photos that only have elements of what I like, but he seemed to read my mind to the TEA! In short, I wanted a boho vibe, with fall mood colors, and truly fell in love with the orange rusty hues of the season, but we also wanted to incorporate the San Diego vibe with a bit of tropical elements like Monstera leaves.
Our main flower was the Protea, which he researched high and low with his vendors to make sure we had the most beautiful King Proteas along with other varietals available. His color combinations and textural variety in the bouquets were exquisite! He included beautiful sprigs of pampas grass as well for touch of boho style. Speaking of detail of design, he was sure to design my bridal bouquet around the style of my dress to ensure it was all seamless.
The reception was even more impressive! He brought in beautiful wood trellis structures in which he draped sheer panels of cream fabric and placed colored uplights to create a soft, intimate, and romantic space within the big venue. To bring interest to the space and entrance he created a light tunnel for guests to walk in to the big room. Each guest table had so much detail and perfection, creating an entire mood throughout! He even made sure to plan to have extra garlands for the additional tables like desserts, guest sign in, etc. The couples table had so much beautiful detail we felt like absolute royalty sitting there. The rentals he was able to provide also included the woven peacock chairs, detailed handmade macrame, and a gorgeous vintage looking lounge area with a velvet couch. Everything was truly pinterest worthy!
At the end of the night, he helped us save and properly transport all the florals so that we could dry them. It brings me so much happiness and good memories to see them every day!

Talented, Passionate Florist who went above and beyond on our special day!
Wow wow wow. Omar at Drapery Wedding did a phenomenal job with our flowers at our wedding! Finding a florist was the very last vendor I hired because I was having a hard time finding someone willing to work with my very limited budget who produced quality work. Usually people say "you get what you pay for" but in this case I would say I received more than I bargained for.
Omar was very communicative prior to the wedding in getting our vision for the wedding and generating a very accurate quote, he stayed within. He even gave me very helpful suggestions to help with the planning. He made me feel like I was in good hands all the way through the wedding.
He was in charge of producing flowers for the pergola, sweetheart table, 18 centerpieces, like 15 boutteniers, 3 corsages, 3 flower crowns, and 6 bouquets. He offered me his deal where he threw in my bridal bouquet, cake flowers, toss bouquet, and surprised me with so much more! When I walked through the reception and ceremony space I was floored that he even added more touches to areas I hadn't even mentioned. There even was a moment where I forgot my bouquet when I was doing my first look and he ran and got it for me!
The flowers were just stunning and all my guests commented about that. What was also wonderful is he worked with my budget and didn't shame me for having a limited budget. He was very realistic in discussing price. Lastly, his customer service was beyond!! He even left after setup to setup another wedding, then came back to help transfer flowers from the ceremony space to the reception. I hadn't even asked him to do that! He truly went above and beyond! We will hire him again for future events and you should too.
