Eugene and Andrea (The Drakes) were the best choice we could have made for our wedding video team. From our first call almost a year before our wedding I knew right away the husband and wife duo were the perfect fit! We felt at such ease having them film our wedding day. They totally understood and loved our wedding vision, our connection as a couple and what was important for us to capture through out the weekend. They are so talented, creative, fun, high energy and blended into our wedding as if they were guests on the dance floor. Our favorite part was when Eugene handed my husband and I the video camera to film on the dance floor from our point of view. If you are thinking of hiring The Drakes don't think twice, they are worth every penny and we will be watching our fun, unique, one of a kind wedding footage for years to come!

Where to begin?! There are too many amazing things to say about The Drakes and how they captured one of the most incredible times of our lives to fit in one single review. If you're reading this to help decide whether to hire them, the answer is absofuckinglutely YES! We met Eugene and Andrea at our gym shortly after getting engaged and we feel honored to be able to continue a relationship with them following our adventure elopement in Sedona. I truly believe it was fate that we met in that way. Had I simply come across their films without knowing them, I would’ve felt intimidated by such talent! If you’ve watched any of their films, you know they’re phenomenal at what they do, but aside from being incredibly talented, they are two beautiful souls! Given that they would be the only other people around us during this moment, we wanted to be sure we felt comfortable being ourselves. They are such a breath of fresh air and felt like best friends! Throughout our wedding experience they remained professional and mastered our vision. The opportunity they have provided us with being able to go back in time through videos and photos is one you cannot put a price tag on. We get so emotional every time we go through our photos and videos experiencing the many different emotions and vibes of the entire experience. Through the process of planning our wedding/elopement we thoroughly discussed what was truly important for us. We all know weddings can get pricey very quickly, but when you begin cutting out all the things that are not important, it becomes easier to fit in all that is important to you and your partner. Being able to relive this experience and capturing who we are as a couple is what was important to us. Being in the moment with just each other and at peace. Having The Drakes go through that multi-day journey and guiding us, provided us with an outcome far greater than we could've ever imagined. Our family, friends, and even strangers have cried while viewing the films! They are so thankful for the amazing content we can share with them to take them into the moment with us and feel the emotions we were feeling. We couldn't have dreamt of better videographers and photographers for our special wedding adventure! Everything was beyond perfect! We are so grateful for the entire team! Andy was also a pleasure to communicate with. The entire process simply felt so easy and we felt heard. Thank you, The Drakes!! -

Eugene was honestly the best vendor we could have had on our wedding day! The energy and skills he brought to our wedding were out of this world! He knew what he was doing to get all the right shots & it felt like we had known him for years! My family and friends are still raving about him to this day. He showed up with his 2nd shooter and instantly started scouting out the place to be well prepared for the start of the day, he showed up early and ready to go it was amazing! He never made me feel stressed, only confident that he knew what he was doing and let him work his magic. He danced around the dancefloor with my family and friends all night and made me feel comfortable. We can't wait to see our videos and will forever recommend The Drakes to anyone!! You won't be disappointed. -

WOW!! I can’t say enough good things about The Drakes! I first found Eugene Drake on Instagram and became instantly obsessed with his and his teams work, but after he did an amazing job shooting my friends wedding, and the fact my wedding planner had nothing but great things to say about The Drakes, I knew I had to book them. You can tell The Drakes take pride in creating and delivering an amazing product, because they value everything from capturing the smallest details to the biggest moments. Eugene doesn’t just want to give you video footage of your wedding day, he wants to make it look like you were in an Oscar winning performance...and he does! He knows good lighting when he sees it; he makes art out of small motions...like leaves on a tree or a veil in the wind; he truly captures the essence of your wedding! I had high expectations for Eugene, (simply because all of his work is outstanding) and he blew them out of the water! I met Eugene and his team for the first time on my wedding day, and they immediately understood my personality and vibe, which made the day that much more fun. As someone who is awkward in front of the camera, Eugene made me feel super comfortable and actually enjoy being in the spotlight. Aside from being creative geniuses The Drake team is very communicative, punctual, friendly, super fun, professional and all around so enjoyable to work with...as bride on your wedding day, you want to be surrounded by just that! I recommend them to anyone...and if you’re on the fence about booking The Drakes, do it! I promise you will not regret it! -

I cannot speak more highly of the Drakes. From the time I first reached out, to our 'Love Story' filming in NYC, to our wedding in Houston (re-planned due to Covid), the Drakes were an absolute joy to work with. Not only do they have the biggest hearts, but they are wildly talented, professional, and it is apparent that their clients are their highest priority. The quality of their work is truly unmatched. Would give them 100 stars if I could!! -

We searched high & low for the perfect wedding videographer & are so glad we came across the Drakes. Their work is unlike anything we’ve seen! We’ve probably watched our wedding video at least 1000x at this point. Their cinematography is so mesmerizing, my husband had the Drakes compose a one year anniversary film – the most thoughtful gift I’ve ever received! Eugene & Andrea were so personable, they were not just wedding vendors, but became good friends. We can’t say enough good things about this brilliant team – the way they create is captivating! -

Outstanding wedding photographer!
We met the Drakes at the Houston Bridal Extravaganza and we are SO happy we did! The easiest decision both my husband and I made was to hire them as our wedding photographer. Eugene was a joy to work with and made you feel at ease in front of the camera lens. He’s got a contagious personality. He was making everyone laugh on the dance floor towards the end of our wedding night and I had many people comment how fun our photographer was. More importantly though, is his style and work ethic. The photos from our wedding capture pure emotion and I love the angle shots he got during the church’s ceremony. He truly knows what he’s doing. I highly recommend him as a wedding photographer! -

Working with Eugene was the easiest task during my wedding planning and day of the wedding. I was so stressed during the day and he managed to capture 100% of the details. My mother-in-law asked me if I was going to give him a list of things to photograph but I didn’t have to. When I say he covered everything, I mean he covered the entire wedding! Not only did we hired him for the photos but also for the video and let me say that I was more than satisfied. Don’t believe me? Go look at our teaser video on Instagram- “Saida and Rand”. My wedding had a Callejoneada, a donkey, Tequila shots, live band, Mariachi, late night tacos, stilt walkers, led robots, Brazilian dancers, and much more... and he put it all together in his amazing videos. I wanted my wedding to be fun and it certainly was but thanks to Eugene, I have the videos to watch my wedding happen all over again. -

Could not have asked for a better photographer! Took him 4 hours from Houston to shoot our wedding and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. We would recommend to everyone! So much fun to work with and have around -and not just a random person taking photos of you all day. -

Eugene and his beautiful wife Andrea will leave an imprint on your life. Not joking. My fiancé and I had our engagement photos taken at the Rocky Mountains in CO with them and let me tell you... our gallery was just out of this planet! Also, We were so fortunate to have gotten to know Andrea and Eugene on a personal level during our stay there. Something you don’t get with just any photographer. We heard why his passion is photography, how much they have both poured into their vision, and beyond that. It’s truly inspiring and was an overall incredible experience. They were both SUCH troopers and so professional with all the driving, hiking, hiking WITH a lot of heavy equipment, having loose wild life roaming the mountains, and just being in a different environment. I wish I could give them everything in the world, because they are such beautiful individuals who derserve all the greatness in this universe and have an even more beautiful love story! All this, AND we got AMAZING photos! Wow! 😭♥️ I have also made sure I snagged him to photograph our wedding this November, we are SO EXCITED! Thank you Eugene and Andrea!!! -

He was so quick to get our pictures back to us (both engagement and wedding), his attitude makes everything fun and relaxed so you don't feel awkward, the quality of the pictures is outstanding and he captured all the special moments! I couldn't be happier that we chose Drake Studio. He was willing to work with our budget and is flexible in making sure you get what you need. The photos are perfect, Drake Studio was perfect. Eugene became more of a friend than a vendor and made our wedding day even better! We're so grateful to have chosen this company to capture our special day!

Donna Sent on 02/12/2018We had about a year to plan our wedding and we had the pleasure with working with Eugene for about six (6) months up to the big day. We used him for our 1) engagement photos (seen on our save the date), 2) my boudoir photos 3) our Laotian traditional ceremony and American ceremony and reception 4) and holiday photos (our wedding thank you card).
The first thing you need to get out of your consultation is CHEMISTRY! When we met Eugene and his wife, Andrea, we were very comfortable with moving forward. It wasn’t until our engagement photo shoot that we noticed what sets them apart. We were extremely nervous and stiff, but Eugene and his wife gave us guidance, direction, and made it completely fun! As a newly engaged couple, it was refreshing to be in the company of another couple that was just being themselves (loving and patient with each other and with both of us). Eugene has a gift of capturing the chemistry of a couple on camera. Anyone can take photos and videos, but it takes talent and tenacity to evoke those emotions in a candid setting. He has an extensive range – whatever your vision is, he will make sure to deliver. We had a cross section of artistic, portrait, and candid photos. The best part for me (personally) was my traditional Laotian morning ceremony. Eugene and I worked on a journalistic style vision where he captured all the carefully curated details of the ceremony that tells a story about my culture. I’ve seen thousands of Pinterest photos, YouTube videos, but hands down, no one will have moments and the details captured like my Laotian ceremony. Eugene made that possible for me and my family. For me, it was not just photos to admire years from now, but it was about forging history for my family. Whatever your goals are for your wedding, I can assure you, Eugene and his team will make that happen for you! -
