AMFM was everything we could’ve hoped for in a wedding band and more! From start to finish, they were so accommodating, professional, and just an absolute joy to work with. They showed up right on time, looked amazing, and brought such a polished, elevated vibe to the entire day.

They were incredibly flexible and open to trying new things, and they even learned the songs we specifically requested—which meant so much to us. Their performance was phenomenal—the energy, the talent, the crowd engagement—it was all there. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how good the band was!

Best Band - Worth Every Penny

on't even hesitate! The A List was THE best wedding band and I have been to too many weddings! We're so lucky they came to Cabo for ours. I booked them after reading reviews & seeing videos without seeing them live, so it was a gamble, and they are the #1 thing guests are raving about our wedding weekend! Working with Downbeat was seamless but still felt personal. Talking with Diego & Payson, we knew we were in good hands. Our planners also love that Downbeat handles their own travel & equipment - one less thing to worry about! They show up professionally & perform incredibly. All band members were very nice, engaged with our guests more than other bands do, and played such a great mix of music beyond standard wedding songs. Were also thankful for their "base band" package so we could afford their flying to Cabo. I would hire Downbeat 100 times over.. Feeling grateful

Unbelievable Experience

It was an unbelievable experience with this band. They performed everything with 110% (dancing, grooving, singing), played all requested songs / did not play any songs & genres we asked not to, and truly made sure that we (the bride & groom) felt so celebrated. Could not recommend this band more! They even played our favorite song, Treat You Better by Rufus Du Sol, and it could not have been a better hit.

10/10 – The BEST Wedding Band Ever!

Where do I even begin?! Our wedding would not have been the same without this incredible band. From the very first note to the final encore, they had our entire guest list on their feet—dancing, singing, and absolutely loving every moment.

Their talent is undeniable. Every song, whether it was a classic, a modern hit, or our special requests, was performed with so much energy and soul. It honestly felt like a private concert tailored just for us. The vocals were amazing, the musicianship was top-tier, and their stage presence? Electric.

What really blew us away, though, was how easy they were to work with. Super professional, responsive, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Unforgettable.

We’ve had SO many guests tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended, and they all mention the band as the highlight. We couldn’t agree more. If you're on the fence, don’t be. Hire them. You will not regret it.

Best band ever!

We booked The Soultones through Downbeat and they were INCREDIBLE!!! Cannot say enough good things about them. We have had guest after guest tell us that they were the best cover band they've ever seen. Not only are the amazing musicians, but they interact with the crowd in such a fun, dynamic way. Their rendition of "Pink Pony Club" was iconic and one of the fondest memories we have of our wedding weekend. If you are even considering The Soultones, don't hesitate - book them! You will not regret it. Thank you, Downbeat, for being the highlight on the best day of our lives!

Downbeat AMFM was recommended by my wedding coordinator, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better band. They had everyone on the dance floor! Payson, the events coordinator, was incredibly kind, accommodating, and quick to respond with answers to all my questions. The band's energy was absolutely top-notch. They curated an excellent mix of music. I received so many compliments from my guests, and several guests even asked for the band's information, so I hope they get booked more often. Do you want a packed dance floor? BOOK THESE GUYS

If you’re looking for a band that will bring the party, this is it! We couldn’t have asked for a better trio - saxophonist, percussionist, and DJ. These guys made sure the dance floor was packed all night long. The energy was unreal, and the mix of live music with a killer DJ set the perfect vibe for our celebration.

What really blew us away was how they perfectly balanced our song playlist and the vibe we were going for, while also being totally open to even the smallest requests we had. They honored every little detail, making the night feel incredibly personalized and so much fun.

We’re beyond glad we invested in them. If you want a high-energy, unforgettable experience that feels totally tailored to you, don’t hesitate to book them. They’ll make your wedding one for the books!

The a-list is worth every penny!

We honestly had the best wedding vendors and I would book all of them again in a heartbeat. But if I could ONLY book one of my vendors again - it would be the band. We booked The A List through Downbeat and I can honestly tell you that they were the best wedding band anyone has ever heard and they were worth every penny.

They provided the music for our whole day - ceremony, cocktail hour, reception; and I honestly have no notes. They were SO talented, SO easy to work with, had SUCH stage presence. They had the perfect balance of crowd interaction and they truly kept the energy up all night.

I HIGHLY recommend the band we booked!!!

Full dance floor!

We are so grateful to Downbeat and the Gold Standard for making our daughter's wedding reception such a joyful celebration and dance party! This band is the A Team and Downbeat was fantastic to work with. They were so kind to learn a few special dance songs for the bride and groom too. They were absolutely phenomenal. I will never forget seeing parents, Grandparents and teens all dancing with the bride and groom. One bit of advice: if you hire this band get a larger dance floor and book an extra hour or two. You will wish you did!

Best Wedding Band We Could Have Asked For!

We were absolutely blown away by Gold Standard at our wedding! They exceeded every expectation and were a massive hit with us and our guests, bringing an energy and level of talent that turned our day into something truly unforgettable. The feedback we received was an 11/10 across the board – everyone was talking about how amazing they were!

Greg and I, along with many of our guests, have attended weddings featuring celebrity performances from artists like John Mayer and Flo Rida, yet everyone agreed that Gold Standard was by far the best band they’d ever seen. Their skill, versatility, and connection with the crowd created such an electric atmosphere; we genuinely wished we could have them following us around, making every moment feel as special as they made our wedding day.

Incredible Experience Working with Downbeat / AMFM!

Downbeat absolutely rocked the house!!! I worked with AMFM for my wedding, and they went above and beyond. Best Wedding Entertainment Ever

We hired Downbeat Entertainment for our wedding this past May and they were ABSOLUTELY incredible. We had a string quartet for our ceremony, cocktail hour guitar/vocals, the A-List as our wedding band, and an after-party DJ. Each part of the night went off without a hitch and all of the musicians were phenomenal. Downbeat was extremely professional to work with and even took custom requests. My wife and I met and lived in New Orleans, and we wanted a second line at our wedding in California. We worked with the band and the horn section, and they learned several second line songs just for our entrance music and paraded around with all of us! This was definitely a highlight of the night and everyone loved it. They also were very open to the songs we wanted on our playlist for the evening, as well as the DJ playlist for the afterparty. The string quartet for our ceremony played the music we requested and it sounded beautiful! It truly brought a special touch to our ceremony. We continue, even a month out, to get compliments about The A-List and how ridiculously talented they were. They brought so much energy and fun to the night and got people out on the dance floor that usually don't dance! I would recommend The A-List and Downbeat to anyone and wish we could have a second wedding just to hear them again!

Hire soultones!

Wow! Where to even begin?! Joel and the entire Soultones family is beyond incredible. The level of talent is unmatched and the energy they brought to our wedding was absolutely electric. Our goal was to have all of our guests on the dancefloor and Soultones did just that. If you are looking for a live band, look no further. Throughout the entire process Joel was patient, responsive and was on board with how we envisioned our wedding night going. It was the dance party of our dreams and we will remember it forever. Downbeat was incredibly easy to work with during the lead up to our reception. Downbeat was phenomenal! If you have any doubt about hiring them, you should not whatsoever! Their setup is very unique and having multiple percussions players made the performance so much more interactive. Our guests are still raving!

This review is long overdue. We had AMFM perform at our wedding on May 29, 2022 in Malibu and they were out of this world! My husband was very concerned about having a band vs. DJ because he didn't think it would be as "cool" but my parents both insisted we have a band - WE ARE SO HAPPY with the decision we made. AMFM got everyone on the dance floor from the moment the party started and they stayed through the end of the party. We literally still have wedding guests telling us "YOUR BAND WAS AMAZING" on the regular. On top of this, Diego and Joel were so easy to communicate with leading up to our big day. 10/10 would recommend them again and again.

Best Wedding Band Ever!

We had Soultones perform at our wedding and it truly made the night fun for all of our guests. The whole band was incredible! The musicians were down on the dance floor with guests and they really got everyone involved. The wedding was a few months ago and we still have people commenting on how great the band was. Their song choices were perfect and everyone was out of their seats as soon as dinner was over. Working with downbeat was so easy and seamless. I can’t recommend them enough. We also finished the night with a silent disco with our DJ Joel and it was the perfect ending. You will not regret having them perform at your event!

Wedding Band, DJ, Ceremony Musicians

This is the easiest review I have ever written.

My husband and I were married on 11.19.22, and we hired Downbeat musicians for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and for our reception - specifically the band- Soultones.

Every single musician — from the ceremony musicians, to the cocktail hour pianist, to the DJ, MC, and especially the band, Soultones- was absolutely incredible.

So many guests including my parents, closest friends, and family came up to me and said Soultones was the best band they had ever seen- not just wedding bad- “the best band.” Their voices are incredible, unbelievable musicians on the piano, sax, guitar etc., and they are so high energy and really get all the guests into it. Our dance floor was packed all night!

Thank you again for everything- especially to Soultones- for making our reception so fun & unforgettable!

If you are thinking of hiring a band for your wedding- look no further - hire Soultones with Downbeat- you will be SO happy you did!

THE highlight of our wedding, no question

Best wedding band I’ve ever experienced- hands down. Downbeat and their band AMFM were by FAR the highlight of our wedding. BOOK them. Our guests were completely blown away and raving about Downbeat— not only are they incredibly talented musicians, but they are amazing performers that interact with the crowd, read the vibe, and keep the energy high and the party going all night. They can play all the wedding classics without making them sound cheesy at all. Every single one of the artists was extremely talented. They are also a pleasure to work with behind the scenes and highly professional- the planning and prep was so easy and smooth and we could not have asked for a better experience. They were able to manage all of the ceremony, cocktail, DJ, MC-ing, and live band music for the day, as well as mic and sound equipment. We had many guests tell us afterwards it was the best wedding band they had ever heard. This is a totally worthwhile investment- cannot emphasize this enough!!!

Completely blown away by the A-List

Live music was a high priority for my husband and I for our wedding. We were recommended Downbeat from our amazing wedding planner Paola Franco from Say I Do to Details. We decided to hire the A-List (full band plus string quartet) after watching some of their videos and loving the way they performed “Higher Love” by Whitney Houston. We had also seen videos on Downbeat’s Instagram and really liked how performers were able to not only put on a great show but also interact with and work the crowd.

Even with high expectations, we were completely blown away on our wedding day. The entire band, vocalists, quartet, DJ were nothing short of amazing - their sound, energy and professionalism. We also really enjoyed their take on our first dance song, “Back at One” by Brian McKnight. (Side note: I don’t know if learning songs that you request is typical for all wedding musicians, but it was definitely a plus!) Our guests were all raving about how incredible the performers were.

End to end our experience with Downbeat was fantastic. Diego and Joel, the executive and event directors were very nice and helped us understand how to bring our music vision to life - for example, we originally weren’t sure if we wanted the string quartet but are so glad we added them. They also ended up playing for our ceremony.

The BEST Wedding Band!!

We discovered Collective NYC and Downbeat Agency via a vendor recommendation site and took a leap booking them without any personal recommendations - a decision that turned out to be the best one of our entire wedding! Our wedding was in Boston and after not being super impressed with any of the local options available for our date we widened our search. I am not exaggerating when I say we were absolutely blown away by Collective NYC! We hired them for cocktail hour, reception, and after party DJ music and they were so incredible the entire day! The band not only sounded amazing, but did a great job reading the room and was super professional. The dance floor was packed all night! We felt like we had a lot of opportunities to collaborate on the set list and make sure we were going to hear our favorite songs - something very important to us. We have had countless guests rave to us about them and our wedding planner said they were the best wedding band they’ve ever heard. They were a splurge for us, but worth every penny - they were incredible and truly made our wedding a party!

Best Band Ever

Gold Standard with Downbeat Agency was PHENOMENAL! Leading up to the wedding the agency was so easy to work with, answering my 1 million questions and accommodating our needs.

Phenomenal from start to finish

We hired Soultones and DJ Live through Downbeat and they were phenomenal! They brought incredible energy and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. We had multiple guests comment on how amazing the musicians were. Joel and Diego were very clear and easy to communicate with leading up to the event and really took our preferences into account. We had very specific details we wanted (ex. having lives musicians play acoustic covers of EDM pre-ceremony) and they worked with us to make sure every detail was exactly the way we wanted. Every wedding needs DJ LIVE!!!!!

DJ LIVE was INCREDIBLE!!! They made our night so special! We had a little over 200 guests and all of them were on the dance floor. They were engaging, so friendly, and the ultimate hype men! The best band for your wedding!

The Downbeat Agency was such a joy to work with for our wedding day! We hired the incomparable A-List band, and they DELIVERED! They sounded amazing, and all of our guests were so impressed by their performance throughout the night. Not only were the professional, friendly, and talented, they made the night extra fun by coming onto the dance floor and singing along with our guests! It just made the party even more fantastic. Lightning in a Bottle

The band were so fun to have at our wedding! They were so much more than musical performers, they really went the extra mile to help us and our guests have a good time. The BEST band ever!

Where do I even begin!! You NEED to hire The A-List! They put on the most spectacular show for our wedding. I can't even count the number of guests who raved to us about the band! Every single person loved their performance, and it's safe to say they made the night! The entire dance floor was packed from their first song until their last, and they kept the energy high all night long! We truly could not have asked for a better band. We love downbeat!

We are OBSESSED with Downbeat! My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about this band! They were absolutely the highlight of our wedding! “Best wedding band ever !”

Downbeat was the best possible decision in choosing a band for my wedding. They fully listened to any requests we had, from certain songs, to songs we absolutely didn’t want to hear. They even performed a specific cut of our wedding dance song. I couldn’t be happier with the song selection. They played exactly the right songs for the mood, from dinner into the high point of the dance floor.

Each band member was immensely talented and entertaining. My guests continuously told me “best wedding band ever !” And I fully agree. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Best band ever!

DJ live made our wedding! We saw them perform at another wedding and had to have them for ours. The combo of the sax/drums/DJ is so fun and all of our guests loved them. Definitely would recommend!

Downbeat amfm is amazing!

Downbeat AMFM was FANTASTIC!! What an amazing band! We had a pretty large wedding (190) and the dance floor was packed all night till they left! Every single person came up to me during the wedding and complimented the band. The singers and the musicians had amazing energy and they were phenomenal. I was a very very happy bride. We booked the 10 piece band and that was the best decision we ever made! It’s so cool having a horn section! Thank you so much Joel and AMFM!! You truly were the best!!

Amazing!

Hiring Downbeat was one of the BEST decisions I made for my wedding. The level of professionalism from my initial consultation and throughout the entire process was so far above and beyond what I expected. The DJ and musicians were AMAZING!! Me and my guests danced all night. They were so fun and super talented. I got a ton of compliments about the entertainment. I would never consider having an event without them. Best dance party ever with AM/FM!

We booked AM/FM for our wedding this past September and they were phenomenal!! They were super high energy and really kept the party going! They were extremely talented performers and everyone at our wedding said they were by far the best wedding band they had ever heard. Though they are on the more expensive side for what we were looking for, they were 110% worth the money and we would hire them again!

Working with Downbeat was very easy as well. They were prompt, friendly, and professional in their communication.

I couldn't give higher compliments!

Highly highly recommend! Our wedding is almost a month passed and people are still talking about the Soultones.

Through Downbeat, we hired a string quartet for music prior to a during the ceremony, a jazz trio for the cocktail hour, and Soultones, a 10-piece band, for the reception. I wish I had the pleasure of enjoying the string quartet and Jazz Trio, but as the bride gets busy, I didn't get to. I heard only good things from my guests, though.

I was already excited for the Soultones but they exceeded my expectations 10-fold! Here's a few reasons why. My husband and I were worried that rapping wouldn't be great for a wedding band so we had hoped they wouldn't attempt, but one of the singers rapped to Jay-Z's "I Just Wanna Love You" and it was perfect! It was my husband's favorite part of the wedding. I guess marrying me comes second ;)
They sang "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" and myself along with a few friends had to stop mid-sentence to look at the stage to confirm that it wasn't actually Lauryn Hill singing. Blasphemy? I think not.
Finally, one can really tell that they do their best to feel out their audience. As you can see from the photos, if the feeling is right, they come down off the stage and join the guests on the dance floor which just brings the energy through the roof.

They were so deeply enjoyed that a group of friends are talking about hosting a big party every year just to hire the Soultones. We felt it was worth every penny!

Best decision for the best day ever!

We LOVED working with Downbeat (Joel) and AMFM for our wedding! We received so many compliments on the band because they are frickin' awesome - our parents were still raving about them weeks later. Joel was extremely responsive to all of our requests and an absolute pleasure to work with. The Downbeat team was even able to assist us in editing some music for us for our first dance. We actually originally heard AMFM at another wedding in O.C. and I recommend them 10000%! I would also highly recommend adding the brass section - they are absolutely worth the splurge!

Best decision we made!

The A-List from Downbeat was the highlight of the night! Our friends and family are still complimenting the band to this day, and they really were the cherry on top of the most perfect day. Our families come from two separate cultures and the band had no problem getting the party started and kept it going all night. Cannot say enough great things about DownBeat! They made our wedding so special, so much fun and SO unforgettable. From the moment they started playing you could tell it was going to be a fun party! Downbeat did all of the music for my wedding weekend at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach in Dana Point - everything from spanish guitar to the STELLAR band - Gold Standard - was absolutely incredible and flawless. The highlight of our wedding

AMFM was the highlight of our wedding reception, hands down. We had the 10-piece band perform, and it was worth every penny.

The entire band is beyond talented, FULL of energy, and extremely professional. They had our party on the dance floor all night long, until the very last song.

We had so many people call us after our wedding to ask who the band was— and we were more than happy to share, because selfishly, we want AMFM to be at every wedding we attend.

Not only was the band wonderful, but the entire team at Downbeat was a joy to work with. We worked with Diego and Joel for about two years leading up to our event, as we had to postpone our original wedding date due to covid. They were always super quick to respond and provided helpful answers to all of our questions.

Overall, AMFM and Downbeat get a 10/10 in our book.

Don't even THINK about another band...

I might be biased here, but Downbeat LA -- and specifically AMFM -- was hands-down the best, most entertaining, most interactive and engaged band I've ever seen at a wedding. Diego & Joel from Downbeat were super helpful, easy to work with, and patient with us throughout a very long planning process after we had to reschedule our wedding twice due to COVID. We were pretty specific with our music preferences (custom song requests) and the vibe we were going for (i.e. we wanted a dance party with loud horn section!) and AMFM certainly OVER-delivered! Our guests are still talking about the band 3 weeks later and the horns were absolutely off the charts. In the end, it was perfect and we wouldn't have changed a thing. Highly recommend Downbeat and AMFM!!!

INCREDIBLE! The best band around!!

Look no further. The reviews are not too good to be true. Hire any group at Downbeat! We hired Dolce to play our ceremony and Soultones to play our reception. They were both incredible! Dolce set the mood beautifully and did a really great job learning the songs we requested. Soultones made our reception the party we wanted. All of our guests have not stopped talking about how good they were. We even had neighbors who live near the park where we had our reception stop and tell us how amazing the band was. They opened up a bottle of wine and listened all night from their band from their patio. They truly are the best!

Amazing company

Choosing a wedding band can be overwhelming, but Downbeat has such an amazing variety of talented musicians that it made our choice very easy! AMFM was our first choice of band while picking one for our wedding and we were lucky enough to book them! Unfortunately COVID-19 altered our wedding plans, but Downbeat could not have been more accommodating. The process to book them was very simple and easy and the group of talent that they have is unbelievable. We were so impressed by the variety of music and the energy that the band brought even just during their band practice. I would hire Downbeat to play at our next event without question. My wedding favorite band ever!

We worked with Downbeat for a wedding at Dodger Stadium this past winter and Soultones LA was phenomenal. Hands down the best wedding band I've ever had the great pleasure of working with. As an experienced planner, I've worked with many bands and talent, but there simply is no comparison.

I want to start off by raving about them in the planning stages where both Joel and Diego were great in communicating. They responded very quickly and were on top of every detail. They did a walkthrough with us a few months prior and were instrumental in that meeting. The party was a very important component on the wedding day for my client and Diego made suggestions based on our layout that would help keep the party going. As we discussed logistics, their input turned out to be right on point.

On the wedding day they showed up on time and their entire crew paid attention to every single detail. The band members were kind and talented.

Their actual performance was absolutely phenomenal. My client keeps texting me that their friends keep talking about the band. We had to make a lot of changes on the day of the wedding and they handled it with grace. Gabi was a rockstar with all our impromptu requests and he always did it with a smile. My favorite part is that the band got out on the dancefloor with the guests, which made the dancefloor that much more fun.

From a professional standpoint, I can truly say that Soultones LA is the best. They provide 5-star service and most importantly you can trust them to have your back on the most important day of your life. I can't thank you enough Joel, Diego, Gabi and the rest of the members for such a great experience. Looking forward to doing it again soon!

Best band ever

I know I am bias, but truly the best wedding band EVER! Multiple people at my wedding have asked for their information because they made the wedding celebration what it was. They kept the energy high the entire night, engaged with the crowd on the dance floor, and each person in the band had incredible talent. They learned 4 new songs for us and performed them flawlessly, as they did for the VERY long list of songs they already knew. They also played one extra song at the end of the night at the request of the bride without hesitation. I can't recommend this band enough, and my words truly don't do them justice. Best Wedding Band Ever!

Choosing Downbeat (Soultones) as our wedding band was one of the best decisions my wife and I made throughout the wedding planning process. From first contact with Diego, to learning about our options, to executing the contract, to working with Joel on details for our day, everything was clearly communicated and flawlessly executed. We had a guitar/pianist combination perform our ceremony music, we had an acoustic guitar playing during cocktail hour, and of course the band had us partying all night long! The ceremony music was perfect. The cocktail reception acoustic guitar was an amazing mood setter. The MC and dinner playlist was first-class. And Soultones were nothing short of fantastic. Not only was every facet of the day absolute perfection, but each band member was highly professional. We had so many guests tell us it was the greatest band they have ever seen. We truly had an unbelievable reception, and we know it wouldn't have been possible without Downbeat. The one negative is we no longer have the pleasure of working with Diego and his team anymore =(. The. Life. Of. The. Party!

If you want a guaranteed fun and poppin' event, book them! Our wedding was in Sonoma County at Olympia's Valley Estate and their 10-piece band, AMFM, traveled up north to celebrate with us. We were originally recommended by our friend who went to 2 other weddings where Downbeat had artists perform there. As big concert goers and music lovers, we wanted our guests to be entertained and the attention on them to create the party mood. We chose AMFM and couldn't have been more pleased. My wife is very particular about vocalists and instrumentals from growing up and taking Choir and Band in high school and she was mindblown about how good they were. Their whole ensemble was amazing, from the vocalists to the instruments to the DJ and sound check. For our first dance, they performed "Best Part" and did it justice and H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar would've be proud! We grew up with 90s Hip-Hop & R&B and really wanted to incorporate that vibe into our big day. AMFM killed it! Probably one of the best compliments from a guest was that they didn't realize it was a live band at first because they were that good! The band even sung with the crowd on the dance floor and really hyped up the crowd. We've never seen so many of our elders on the dance floor before so that was a big plus to see them enjoying the live music.
One of our favorite things while wedding planning was being able to curate our own personal playlist for the entire day! They gave us a long list of songs they could perform and we had fun narrowing it down. Once you send in the list, they'll create a set list based off those choices to create the perfect vibe. There's also a few DJ sets while the band takes a quick break and you get to choose what type of music gets played then so we chose a hyphy set and an edm set. As bay area natives growing up in the hyphy era, it was important that we could incorporate this. We sent them a list of songs and they executed at the perfect time with all the jams. For the ceremony and cocktail hour, we also sent them separate Spotify playlists for them to play and it went smoothly.

The Downbeat team (shout out to Diego and Andrew) were very responsive, detailed, and helpful. They were always ready to answer any questions we had and helped us ease any worries and deferred any music-related stuff to them. They ensured that they would handle everything music related, like microphones, setup/move of the speakers from the ceremony to reception, playlists, MCing and announcements, etc. They did everything with class and style, were professional, and an overall delight to work with. Highly highly recommended and writing this review brought back all the feels and fun we had. No regrets at all for upping our budget to include the 10-piece band. I keep trying to convince my other engaged friends to book Downbeat so that I could experience and enjoy the band as a guest next time around, haha. Thank you again!

We hired Gold Standard as the band for our wedding and could not have been more thrilled with them! They made our wedding day!

We coordinated with Diego, who was very helpful. The band members are so talented, full of energy, and had everyone at the wedding on the dance floor, which was the one thing I really wanted.

Downbeat put us together with the band Soul Tones. To say they were amazing would not do credit to the musicians. Instruments were rock solid and the vocalists!!! Holy cr@p! If you get a band with one great vocalist you are happy. If they happen to have two it's a blessing. Soul Tones came with three that were absolutely phenomenal. They played everything from classic rock jams to hip hop to slow dance ballads to dance party standards. Band interacted with our guests and read the crowd perfectly. EVERYONE commented on how tight they were. They got everyone out on the dance floor including life long "no dancers". My only regret was that the party had to end. I would strongly consider crashing weddings if Soul Tones were playing.

The best band!

Downbeat LA/AMFM made our wedding absolutely incredible!!!!
We truly cannot say enough good things about them-- Diego and Andrew worked with us for almost a year planning the details of the music and were incredibly flexible and responsive throughout the whole time. One month before the wedding, another vendor (who was supposed to play music while I walked down the aisle) cancelled suddenly, and Andrew and Diego were right there to step in and reassure us that it was no problem and they could extend their time to play during that time! I cannot express how much of a relief that was at that time to know how flexible, supportive, engaged and professional they were. They learned new songs we wanted played, added a DJ we asked for at the end of the ceremony, and provided recommendations that ended up being absolutely perfect and really made our vision come true!

At the wedding, AMFM was hands down THE STAR-- they interacted with our guests, coming into the crowd and even had an air guitar battle with my uncle! I could not have dreamed of a more fun band. Months later, I am still getting (unsolicited) comments about how incredible AMFM was at our wedding.

I would 10/10 recommend them to EVERYONE who wants a fun party with tons of energy and awesome music!!

Gold Standard Exceeded Expectations!!!

Gold Standard performed at our wedding. They did a fantastic job. From the first song, our guests knew it was going to be a party. It's important to have a good vibe to set the tone for the wedding.

We wrote the script and recreated the POSE scene for Royalty. Our wedding party walked down in pairs with commentary from the announcer (one of the singers). He did a fantastic job. He got our guests up off their seats, hyped up, and cheering us on when we all walked down.

We also did a choreographed dance for our first dance. The band did a great job following our instructions on the song. We were able to practice with the band live during the cocktail hour. It was perfectly planned.

Overall, Gold Standard delivered beyond our expectations. Our guests are still talking about how awesome the band was. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a wedding band or for other events. I know if I have another big event I will definitely be booking them again.

Our guests are still raving about SoulTones!

We had the most amazing time at our wedding thanks to SoulTones and Downbeat LA! Diego and Joel were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and patient with us as we tried to figure out how to make sure we could have the band set-up work with our wedding at The Ranch. We had SUCH A BLAST and all our guests were dancing their faces off the entire night! We have had people raving about them everytime we talk about the wedding, and we could not recommend them more. They were a hit and truly the highlight of the night! They are wonderful performers and had so many options that everyone from my grandparents to bridal party loved the songlist. The life of the party!

We knew that a great band would be the focal point of our wedding and we were ok spending a little more in order to get the best! We loved SoulTones of DownbeatLA. Not only did they sound amazing, their energy penetrated the entire night! They kept people on the dance floor and they were not afraid to get down and join the party. I had two issues with the band though, although not serious. The first, we hired the same band to bring a guitarist and dj to our ceremony and although we provided the EXACT music we wanted, he did not play the version of the songs we wanted and then was missing the bridal processional song all together. Thankfully my coordinator had it on her phone. The second, we had a few cultural elements to our reception and they did a great job of singing them, however they didn't give the appropriate introductions so that our guests knew what was going on. All in all, these two things did not ruin our wedding, but good information for anyone looking to book them, is that you may have to very explicitly communicate what you are expecting from the band/dj. Every single guest gave rave reviews of our band, and in the end that was very important to us.

BOOK THEM. You won't regret it

Like most type-A couples, we reviewed everything. Having a band was a non-negotiable for us so we did a lot of research. We even went to listen to some bands play. But after listening all their samples, watching as many videos we could get and reading reviews we decided to pull the slow trigger. Diego, the manager was great. It took us a while to decide because the band did cost a lot more than some other ones. In the end, we went with the GOLD STANDARD band with Downbeat LA. They delivered on everything! They worked with us to play special requests for both the ceremony and reception. They're not just a wedding band doing covers- they are professional musicians!!! Our guest (and us) LOVED the band and the amazing electric energy they brought to our wedding! Videos don't do them justice- they're infinitely better in person. No one will remember your flowers, table settings or even dress- but they will definitely remember that you had an amazing band!

AMFM - Best wedding band in the game

AMFM is hands down the best in the business. They made our wedding night so special and memorable. They had everyone dancing and having a great time. They were clearly so passionate about the music and it was showed in the amazing quality of music! Everyone was impressed. They were also great to work with and very professional. The BEST Wedding Band in LA!!

The best thing I can tell you is to just book AMFM. They were worth every penny and SO fantastic at our wedding in October 2018. We loved them and so did our guests!! They had fantastic talent, energy, and musicality - we truly couldn't have asked for more. We received so many compliments on them during the wedding and after; some people even said they were the best wedding band they'd ever heard!! They got everyone on the dance floor, which is a true feat. They really made our night come to life and we can't thank them enough! Diego is also a fantastic guy and so easy to work with in the days leading up - I have nothing bad to say!!

okay. hands down BEST BAND EVER. my planners recommended them and i am SO happy they did. all our guests absolutely loved them & everyone was dancing all night long. i love how they incorporate the guest and move around to get people going. i had 4 people text me the next day asking about the band and for their information. so so thankful - they made my night so extremely special and better than i could have imagined!!

We always knew that we wanted a great band at our wedding and so when we selected Gold Standard from Downbeat LA, I have to be honest that our expectations were pretty high. Somehow, these guys exceeded what we could have even dreamed! Our friends and family had the time of their lives. Even at dinner service when the band was just getting started (*cue "If I ain't got you" by Alicia Keys*), we had multiple people come up to us and say how incredible the band was. Then came the dance party... Our friends still can't stop talking about it. We cannot recommend Gold Standard enough.

Unbelievable band! So much fun! They played all night, with vocalists and horns coming onto the dance floor to dance with guests. The energy was incredible. DJ kept things going between sets. Loved them! Horns totally worth it! Thanks so much for making our wedding the best it could be!

AMFM was incredible! The talent and energy they bring to their performance made our wedding a blast for everyone. Throughout the evening and in the days following our guests reached out to us to let us know that the band was just the most amazing band they've ever seen at any wedding they've attended. A+++ for A-list. I highly recommend A-list and Downbeat LA! Not only is the band extremely talented but they are very professional and accommodating. The band did an amazing job for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Every song we requested was played to perfection. The band even let me join them for a song on guitar which was a longtime dream of mine. I have received so many compliments on how good the music was at our wedding. We could not be happier with our choice to use Soultones for our wedding! They were amazing, lively, interactive and fun. They were definitely the highlight of the night, our friends are still raving about how great they were. At the last minute we decided to add the horns and they were incredible! AMFM performed at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They were very easy to work with and learned a few songs especially for our big day. They truly made our wedding day one to remember not just for us but all of our guests. Almost all of our guests mentioned to us how amazing our band was and how much fun they had. All the members of AMFM are extremely talented. The songs they cover sound so much like the real songs it's incredible! They also did a great job interacting with our guests and getting everyone excited to dance and party all night! I am very confident there is no better option for a band for your wedding. They are worth every penny and then some!

For our wedding, my husband and I knew we wanted mix when it came to music. We wanted acoustic live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, a live band for the majority of the reception, followed by a DJ for the last hour. Downbeat LA came highly recommend by our wedding planner and they definitely did not disappoint! Downbeat LA was able to provide every type of service we wanted which saved us the trouble of having to reach out to several companies and coordinate services.

While Downbeat LA has many amazing bands, we hired Soultones to perform at our reception and they absolutely killed it! One of our biggest fears going into our wedding was having an empty dance floor, but this was not even a realistic possibility when Soultones was performing. They brought so much energy to the reception that no one wanted to stop singing or dancing. They are all so amazingly talented, entertaining, and engaging. Even now, weeks after our big day, wedding guests still mention how amazing our band was!

Downbeat LA's band, AMFM, performed at my daughter's wedding at Hummingbird Ranch last Saturday (6/24/17) and they were truly outstanding. They were amazing beyond our wildest expectations. Not only were they talented musicians, but they knew how to engage the crowd better than any band we have ever heard. People never stopped dancing the whole night long. Even when the band was on break, the DJ music was so good that no one ever sat down. Most of the guests had attended countless weddings and, to a person, the guests thought that this was the best wedding band ever. We recommend adding a horn, or two, or three; it really adds to the energy. And the value is truly incredible. We had recently attended a wedding of a band double the price, and the groom's parents came up to us and said... "There was no comparison. Hands down, AMFM is better in every way. Not only do they sound as good, but they are more engaged, energetic and feed of the energy of the crowd. If only I knew, I would have booked them on the spot." If you're considering AMFM, don't look any further. Book them!

We hired Downbeat LA AMFM band on January 21, 2017. From the beginning of our planning, we wanted to make sure we had good music because I love to dance and our guests likes to have a good party. We first met the band and Diego (the band manager) at a showcase at their studio. They seriously put on an amazing show and I was already dancing on my feet. I knew from then, I had to hire them. Diego responded so quickly on email, I thought I was texting him. We got married in downtown LA in the heart of the Women's March (aka Trump protest) and yet they were still there on time and very professional. My guests were so impressed and could not stop talking about them even after the wedding. 10 days out and I still get compliments about the band. Some of my friends are evening thinking about hiring them for their weddings this year. I guarantee 200% that Downbeat LA will make your wedding the night that everyone will be talking about!

Downbeat LA is top notch! The music that Downbeat LA provided via AMFM was the heart and soul of our wedding. Many people approached us at our wedding and afterwards asking where we found such great musicians. After interacting with Diego and the whole Downbeat LA team we were very confident that the music element of the wedding would be perfect. Soultones was amazing. Their energy, musicianship, and professionalism were awesome. Gabi did a great job mc'ing the reception, and he and the rest of the band really drove the party. They added so much to our wedding experience. I cannot recommend Soultones highly enough!

My goodness did I love AM/FM! I watched all their videos prior to hiring them, and they looked amazing on video. Let me tell you- they are even more phenomenal live! They blew everyone away! From all the emails back and forth with Diego, to the day of the wedding everything went so smooth! I was a little nervous about how everything would flow but that all went out the window the night of- because they blew us out of the water. They got everyone involved, and not one person stayed on their seat! Id hire them again for an event!

AMFM and Diego, their executive director, were absolutely amazing to work with! Our guests had so much fun at the wedding because they kept the music upbeat and fun. AMFM's vocals are spectacular! As a Wedding Planner I have worked with many bands over the years and AMFM are so professional and on top of the details. They made the planning process very easy and went over all details ahead of time to ensure we had everything set for our clients wedding day. Most importantly they are SO talented and put on an incredible performance. The dance floor was literally packed the entire night and they sounded amazing. They are anything but a cheesy wedding band and instead are cool, polished and fresh. We added the horns section and it made the performance really come to life! I will be recommending them to any clients who want a band. The guests were all raving about them!

My wife Angela and I absolutely loved having AMFM perform and run our reception! I personally loved how prompt Downbeat LA was in communicating and responding to me. My wife and I hired AM/FM (Downbeat LA) to perform at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara for our November 2015 wedding. We could not have been more pleased or satisfied with the band and the entire process.

Diego De la Rosa, band manager, was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the planning period. Diego was extremely responsive, always returning calls day of. He made himself available at all times to answer any questions or concerns we may have had. The process was seamless from beginning to end, it could not have gone more smoothly.

The band itself was beyond exceptional. An extremely talented group of individuals that kept people on the dance floor for the duration of the evening. They excelled in reading the room, always playing the right song next. We could not have been more happy with their performance, hearing from countless guests that they were one of the best wedding bands they've ever heard.

I fully endorse AM/FM (Downbeat LA) and could not recommend them highly enough.
