    Our special Wedding

    Doubletree Mansion on the Hill is not only a beautiful vendor but the staff are so warming and loving. I want to especially thank Jennifer Montgomery the Catering Sales Manager (for making my wedding ceremony special from us signing the contact to my special day), Katie Delezenski (for all my last minute rooms) and Ms Charlie Thompson of Rooms Division Manager ( for always making me smile each time I came to the hotel and need help) This hotel is a very and beautiful place to have your dream wedding and I would recommend it to everyone.     We have used this venue for the past 3-4 yrs for our company holiday party. Nora was amazing. She had very creative ideas on meals for the numerous employees we had with food restrictions - Vegan, vegetarian, no seafood, no dairy, no soy...
    The room was decorated beautifully. When I stopped by earlier in the day to bring over some of our own decorations, I asked for a couple of tables to be reserved and a couple of tables to be moved. The entire staff was there ready to make me happy with no questions asked and no excuses. I would definitely recommend this venue!

    Outstanding food. Nice venue. Great service. Although Planning Coordinator was changed three times, the event still turned out nice. Be sure to ask about each detail included in the wedding package so you will know what you need to purchase. Do get a day-of wedding planner.

    I am so happy with our DoubleTree experience and wedding. The staff was extremely friendly, caring, and made us feel special. Working with the onsite coordinator Nora was wonderful! She is truely an asset and made sure the day went off without a hitch. The property is beautiful and I received so many compliments from guest about the venue, food, and how they enjoyed the rooms. This is the perfect all in one stop for your getting ready, wedding, reception, and wedding night! Everything was made easy and hassle free. I would recommend ten times over.

    An awesome time was had by everyone from far and near. Mom's 80th birthday party will never be forgotten. If we should choose this area again for an event we will come back here for sure.

    Great venue overall. I only ding them for Flexibility because we wanted to sabrage open some champagne at our event but for legal reasons they didn't let us. So I get why but still really wanted to do it. Basically every other request was accommodated. Everyone said they loved the food from their catering. They were able to provide great recommendations for DJ, Cake, and Photo Booth vendors.

    Nora and the staff at the Doubletree by Hilton were professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. Nora was very helpful and creative. She was most attentive to details. I believe we had a very good working relationship. She even wore my colors to my party, I thought this was a great show of workmanship.

    Our wedding was so magical thanks to the Double Tree staff and especially Robi Leach. Robi was so wonderful and answered ALL of my questions quickly and helped with keeping things in line. The quality of service was amazing and I am so thankful we found this venue. Our wedding did not feel like a hotel, but rather like our own private world.
    Don't even get me started on the food... it was AMAZING.
    Everyone kept remarking how wonderful our wedding was, and it is all thanks to top notch staff at DoubleTree... Thank you :D

    I haven't had my wedding just yet, but so far Cresen has been awesome. The layout of this venue is beautiful. Cresen was very helpful with helping me to create an experience that works with my budget. She's been very open and honest and very pleasent. I am excited to be working with her on my big day.

    ***Update*** So my wedding was gorgeous. The venue itself was very inviting and my guests couldn't stop talking about how nice the decor was with the fire place. I ended up working with Robi Leach as the wedding coordinator. She did a wonderful job, however the only complaint I had was with the food distribution. I gave SPECIFIC instructions on how the food was to be passed and apparently those instructions were misunderstood leaving several of my guests with the wrong meal. Other than that though, great experience and I was pleased with the service of the staff.

    We had our wedding and reception in the same ballroom. The staff was great, our wedding coordinator (Cresen) was awesome, and the food was great. All our guests were impressed and many also stayed at this property.

    I can't say enough great things about our entire experience at the DoubleTree Hilton Mansion on the Hill. The entire staff was amazing from the initial planning stages thru the wedding. Very accommodating to make sure it was our dream wedding! WONDERFUL!

    We had our ceremony and reception at this site. It was so great for us, because we had so many guests flying in from out of state. The facility was so convenient for all of them. The space was beautiful and the staff was amazing! All of the staff went above and beyond to help us make the day perfect.

    We absolutely loved having out wedding and reception at the Doubletree on Page Creek Ln. The venue is beautiful and the people we worked with were excellent! This is the perfect venue if you have a lot of out of town guests flying in. They offer an airport shuttle and is only a couple exits away. Our guests loved having everything in one location, eliminating any driving. The food is outstanding and the wedding packages are a great value compared to other venues we looked into. The ceremony space outside is perfect because it is fully covered. I would highly recommend this venue!

    Working with Lauren throughout the year was a dream. She always took care of responding to our questions very timely. Lauren and her team, on the wedding day, made all of us and our guests feel like they really loved having us as guests in the hotel, and appreciated our business. Our guests were impressed with the service, hospitality, and how good the food was. The look of the venue changed because of construction occurring in the hotel (which we did not expect), but when you book an event a year ahead of time, one never knows what renovation projects may occur during the year. We missed the beauty of the original lobby, but I am sure once the renovations are complete, the lobby area will be even more attractive than it was before. We were the first party who got to utilize the new dance floor, which was terrific. I would recommend the Hilton RTP for your wedding. We had many out of state guests, so the convenience of the location to the airport and I-40 was perfect for our event. Many thanks to Lauren and her team for making our daughter's wedding day reception, perfect.

    Lovely venue- my big concerns being we got juggled a lot with some staffing issues. I think because we got handed off mid way to the catering head, and the back again we sometimes got lost in transistion. We picked several selections, then when the original planner came back had to redo somethings because those selections actually were not possible for the different options we had. I agree with an earlier review-- for the price which can run quite high and we did pick a very nice package- I would have hoped for a smoother process. For the actual day of- we just had our reception there- it was beautiful, but they did run out of a few things and low on others. I was disappointed in that, as I had made mention some items would be very hot ticket items with our guest- drink wise especially and with the cost for open bar that grandparents cannot be opt'd out of you want your moneys worth.

    The Hilton at RTP was absolutely wonderful! Lauren did a great job of working with us to create the exact atmosphere we were looking for, and it was so beautiful! We loved the feel of the room, and the service was outstanding. It was so nice to have Lauren there the day of the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly, and we were so glad we picked the Hilton!

    Overall we had a good experience with the Hilton, but unfortunately there were a couple of things that spoiled our wedding experience with them which is why I'm giving them a lower rating in certain areas. I have addressed my concerns with the General Manager who was very accomodating and assured me he would discuss the issues with his staff as to not have them happen again. He actually started the week after our wedding, so I'm hoping the issues were addressed. The catering manager, Lauren, was very prompt in responding to my emails, and was pleasant to work with, though I feel like the communication between staff members left something to be desired. I was also very happy with certain vendors the Hilton connected us with, especially Tracy Adams (awesome wedding coordinator), and Sweet Memories Bakery (absolutely delicious wedding cake). From what I heard from our guests, the food at the reception was also delicious (unfortunately I couldn't eat much at the reception because of excitement/nerves!).

    Unfortunately the experience we had with other Hilton staff (particularly at the front desk) was not so pleasant. There was clearly confusion about the amenities that were supposed to be part of our package, as well as with the key card to the room on our wedding day. I ended up having to leave my reception to go explain to the front desk staff that my room key should not have been de-activated and that my sister needed to be able to use it to get into our room to put the presents from our reception. The woman at the front desk very rudely told me that it was something I "should have taken care of earlier." Not something a bride needs to hear on her wedding day when she is in her wedding dress at her reception, particularly when it was no fault of mine (it was a mistake on behalf of the hotel). Not to mention, when my husband and I arrived to our hotel room on our wedding night, we were supposed to have a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room (part of the package we paid for). Instead, there was a note waiting for us saying to call room service to have the bottle delivered. When my husband called (three times) without answer, he then called the front desk who informed us that room service was gone for the night. They eventually brought us the champagne, but it was just more of a hassle than it should have been. This ended up creating a lot of unnecessary frustration for us that I wish we could erase from our memories of our wedding day, but unfortunately can't.

    The location of the Hilton is excellent, and was very convenient for our guests flying in from out of town. Food was very yummy, facilities were nice. If the staff had better attitudes and the communication between staff improved, the Hilton would have definitely received a much higher rating. I wouldn't not recommend the hotel to others, but I would definitely tell them about the frustrations I experienced.

    Overall, I loved my wedding. However, I do not feel that the Hilton necessarily provides the level of service that should accompany a venue of its price level. The Hilton was in the pricier range of the hotel venues in the area. Service prior to the event was decent. We enjoyed our tasting however, you decide on the menu for your event and only taste those dishes. I work in a restaurant that does a lot of catering and the purpose of our tastings is to let you try multiple dishes to help you DECIDE which dishes you want on your event menu. The problem that we ran into with this was that we had to make the menu decisions and do the tastings so far in advance that we had no idea what our actual guest count would be. So in the end, we had to switch to a different (more expensive) menu to meet the minimum charge and ended up having entrees that we had not tasted.

    The cake is included in the Hilton package and you have a choice of 3 vendors. This was a definite plus in the value of the package and I liked having as much included as possible.

    Additionally, the ceremony area out on the patio and the reception in the Magnolia room were lovely.

    My issues with this venue are in the details. The little things just weren't there. To start, any time there was an issue, or question regarding guest rooms, service, etc, it was difficult to find anyone who knew what was going on. My MOH called the front desk to inquire about our hospitality suite and had to be transferred to 3 different people before anyone had any idea that we were even holding an event at the hotel!

    The day before the wedding, my dad had arranged for a TV and DVD player to be brought to the room at a certain time for a slideshow. No one mentioned that they charge $150/hr to use this! Additionally, when we are spending that amount of money on a ceremony AND reception at the Hilton plus having the majority of our guests staying at the Hilton, I think it is more than appropriate to provide us with a TV to use for one hour without an additional charge. We did not end up paying in the end because it turned into such a fiasco. Three hours later and some angry exchanges later, we finally had a TV. Of course it was another fiasco to get the hotel to come back and pick up the TV.

    One nice addition was the inclusion of a bridal party suite for the night before the wedding. It was a really nice Executive Suite and was stocked with milk and cookies for myself and my bridal party. But, I was not informed that this suite also doubled as the bridal suite?? Luckily, my MOH went to check out the bridal suite situation before the ceremony and discovered this fact. Otherwise, my new husband and I would have arrived back to the room (mess and all), that my bridesmaids and I had stayed in and gotten ready in the night before! Although they did give us Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries (a nice touch), my sisters had to arrange it nicely and finish cleaning up the room! So, this is not a detail that in any way ruined my wedding, but for the price of the hilton, I expect much much more.

    A few other issues... The Hilton will only provide you with the EXACT number of chairs for the EXACT number of guests you expect. We all know that everyone has one or two unexpected guests... But they will have to stand because you cannot get ANY extra seating. There was a general confusion and absolutely no communication between staff members. Food was mediocre.

    To end on a good note though, Charlie at the front desk, was extremely helpful, patient, and pleasant. My dad had accidentally booked half of his rooms through expedia and half through the hilton requiring them to go through and link all the reservations together. She did this with no problem and we were grateful. Lauren (the coordinator) was very nice and was there on the night of to help out and make sure everything ran smoothly. Overall, the experience was good but the Hilton lacks the kind of customer service and attention to detail that I expected for this price level.

    I think I would be more likely to recommend this venue if the price was more reasonable (lower minimum spending, or overall cheaper prices), but at the price we paid, I would probably not recommend it.

    Primarily, I dealt with Lauren Panameno at the RTP Hilton. She was extremely easy to work with and very helpful. She answered all my questions and was very responsive. I had both my ceremony and reception here. Everything looked great for set up. Unfortunately, there were a few snags along the way. The appetizers were incorrectly done by the kitchen, but Lauren made sure to take care of this and refunded us the money for them. Three specially selected meals for three guests were not provided until asked. Also, my DJ never got his food (although my photographer did). Everything did not go as smoothly as I would have liked, but all of the problems were addressed and dealt with in some way shape or form. Everyone here was very accomodating and helpful and I would recommend this venue.

    Over all I was very happy with the Hilton. I was a little upset for a bit because I went through 3 wedding planners. In the end I worked with Devon and she is fabulous! I loved working with her. She is VERY good at what she does.
