I chose this venue as my number 1 wedding venue a whole year BEFORE my husband even propose! That’s how sure I was that this was the place. The Doubletree treated me and my family so well and I am SO GLAD I made this decision. Everything was perfect and Gloria was my knight in shining armour! Thank Doubletree for everything!!

We had family and friends stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton for our son's wedding. Everyone was amazing and so helpful. I arranged a post wedding breakfast on Sunday morning, and Charlene made it so easy to arrange and it was perfect. The big lounge in the lobby of the hotel was great for connecting with everyone, as was the Justice Tavern. We would go back again for sure!

Doubletree was the very first venue we have toured. From the minute Gloria greeted us, we felt a genuine excitement from her of our big day. As she walked us through the gorgeous Kyoto Gardens of where our ceremony would be, she made the experience so special and unique that allowed us to envision what our day would look like. It definitely set the bar high for our other venue tours! Although we ultimately decided on a different venue, Gloria and Charlene left a lasting impression with their enthusiasm, quick responsiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond to meet our expectations. For anyone that's considering this space for their wedding, I can say without a doubt they will be in great hands with Gloria and Charlene with planning their big day!

Gloria and Charlene were great with us during the entire planning process. Gloria and Charity were amazing on the day of the wedding helping us prepare backup plans because of possible rain. Fortunately the skies cleared up and we were able to have a beautiful ceremony in the upper garden area, but it was great knowing that a backup plan was already in place. We highly recommend this team and the awesome venue!

My daughter had decided on a garden venue early in the planning so by the time we heard there was a Japanese garden at a hotel in downtown LA, we had looked at 1/2 dozen venues. Each time the rules were excessively restrictive i.e. no live music, limited headcount, no alcohol, surcharges for access to a clubhouse etc. We were pretty defeated and ready to start compromising her vision away.

Even as we walked through the interior of the hotel (which is lovely), we were kind of ready to be let down. Wow wow wow were we wrong! The first jaw dropper was the waterfall that greets you when you exit the elevator. Then you see the reflecting pool just outside the ballroom and the bridge, before you go up to the second level with the slice of of city view. It’s a gorgeous hidden surprise.

The ballroom is a nice accent space with an amazing night view of the garden and waterfall. The catering manager, Gloria and her assistant were professional and on point always. And the best part was it was SO AFFORDABLE! Love it!

Seriously- get married here!! The catering team and wedding coordination team is world class, phenomenal. ALL my friends who recently had weddings kept telling me how easy they made it. I had no idea but apparently some caters and venues really nickle dime wedding events but this team has a generosity that even impressed our recently married guests. This team is experienced, they know how to respond to every possible situation that can arise. They were consistently gracious and solution oriented, even when I was " a little stressed". :-) They got you covered.

the waterfall sound, flowers, many greens everywhere also the ball room with a beautiful sunshine.. every details matches perfectly for couples that are planning the outdoor ceremony and inside reception as we did. Specially the catering manager Rebecca Young and her assistant Aeri, they are sooo good on teamworks and really well organized for events.
I really can't stop to recommend this place to all the couples who are planning their wedding. Worth it!

Ayda and Rosalind were so nice and helpful in getting our wedding block of rooms. They were very responsive and accommodating. They made the process very easy for us!

When we decided we wanted an outdoor garden wedding, we didn't expect that we would actually find it quickly, and right in the heart of Los Angeles no less! Despite it being in Downtown, it didn't feel like so because of their lush garden and amazing waterfall which basically is the only thing you'll hear. Everyone were taking photos! Add to that their amazing food and great service (Thank you Aeri, Gloria and Rebecca!); they really worked with us so that we could get the perfect wedding and be treated as VIPs. They were so accommodating that they even let us borrow 1 additional room, in addition to the 1 that is already complementary in our package. So we basically had a bride and groom suite! That made things so relaxing for us. Icing on the top is the cost as it is relatively cheap compared to the others we looked at, also considering how much we were getting. So glad we found this venue.

WE could not be happier with the way our event was handled. All the arrangements from the beginning were as planned and with great communication from our contact Aeri we always knew what was to be expected. The event started a little late and the hotels event floor manager Carlos was flexible and made changes in the schedule that made the event come off as planned.
I do not think it was possible to have this event better handled from the great food, to the cleanliness of the gardens, patio, and reception hall.

I just got married exactly 3 weeks ago from today! I feel truly lucky to find this venue. I set up an appointment with Mrs. Gloria, and as soon as I walked in to the venue, I fell in LOVE. I absolutely loved the kyoto garden and it was the ONE I was looking for! The garden and the waterfall was just so beautiful. the next day, me and my fiance (at that time) came together and we signed the contract. We still talk about how the garden was pretty and just perfect for us. Mrs. Gloria and Ms. Aeri were so helpful from the start to end. Every time I meet them, they are always smiling and welcoming. They were always supportive, made sure everything runs smooth. We had the ceremony at the Kyoto Garden and the reception in the Ball Crane Ballroom. The ballroom had amazing full view of the garden. Oh and the food! We got so many compliments from our guests about the FOOD! We had prime rib and pan seared sea bass. The food was soooooo delicious! They have a good menu selection you can choose from. Everything was just wonderful. I am so delighted to find this venue and have Mrs. Gloria and Ms. Aeri as my coordinator. Just take a tour of the Kyoto Garden. You will love it too! I highly recommend this venue!

At first I was leaning towards not having our wedding at a hotel, but once we saw the Doubletree, I knew this was where I wanted to have my wedding. The Thousand Cranes Ballroom and the Kyoto Gardens made for an absolutely picturesque wedding that transported us away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown LA. Everyone was a delight to work with and was very accommodating to our needs. Gloria, Aeri, and Jenny did a great job of taking point on our wedding and making sure our vision got realized. The wedding went off without a hitch, and I was highly impressed with the professionalism of the waitstaff and banquet managers I met with.

The food was excellent, a point which our guests very much agreed with since they ate/finished everything, high points being the shrimp tempura hor d'oeurves, sea bass entree, and the late night mini lobster rolls (but honestly, literally everything was delicious). The bar even bothered to find all the ingredients necessary for my favorite cocktail (a sidecar), even though those ingredients are not what you'd usually find at wedding bars. I'd highly recommend the Doubletree as a venue; I almost still can't believe how affordable everything was considering how awesomely the day went. If anything, the only thing I would have changed about my wedding day was to order even more hor d'ouerves and late night snacks! They were seriously that good. 10/10, would do again.

My husband and I got married on Sept. 03, 2017. We both want a rooftop, city wedding. We were very lucky to have found this venue. We had a morning ceremony and lunch reception.

Our initial consultation and tour was with Gloria. During our consultation, we felt her sincerity to provide the perfect wedding for us. This is something we didn't feel when my husband and I visited other wedding venues and consultants.

During the entire process, we worked with Rebecca and Aeri. They were very accommodating, helpful, and reliable. We are very grateful for the entire catering team. From the food, venue, and to every single detail, their services were amazing.

They were thorough with all the planning details, and were always available via phone or email for all of our questions, concerns, and emotional support. The food was exceptional. We chose to have a three-option buffet dinner. Our guests are still raving about the delicious food - get the sea bass! The catering is very accommodating with requests. During our initial tasting, we felt some of the proteins, specifically the steak, were overcooked. Since they would be finishing in a chafing dish, we requested the steak be cooked slightly less. We also requested changes to the salads. They fulfilled all of our requests without hesitation.

The Kyoto Garden and Thousand Cranes Ballroom were the perfect size space for our wedding of 110 guests. Our out of town guests loved the convenience of having a wedding at a hotel because it eliminates the need for additional transportation arrangements. Guests also enjoyed the many restaurants and markets that are within walking distance from the hotel. We are so happy to have found this venue. Thank you Ms. Gloria, Ms. Aeri, and Ms. Rebecca!!

Ayda and Rosalind were absolutely wonderful and helpful in booking our block of rooms for my daughter's wedding. They checked on me often to see if I needed anything.

The sales, events and catering teams were awesome. Ayda Ohan and Rosalind Pargas were terrific. Our wedding rehearsal dinner, guest sleeping rooms and catered breakfasts were the perfect set up for having a wedding ceremony at the nearby Vibiana Cathedral.

So Gloria Guiles and Aeri Cho over at the Double Tree Inn in Downtown Los Angeles had helped me and my wife plan our special day they were so wonderful and helpful to our special requests. Also they were so understanding when we had to change the date of our wedding from November 2017 to May 2017 due to unforeseen circumstances. The value of the venue of the Kyoto Garden in downtown LA was something that I am continuously grateful for as my wife and I were definitely trying to do everything on a budget. The double tree will be a continuous smile to my face whenever I pass it by in downtown LA.

We originally visited the DoubleTree Los Angeles as a venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. We fell in love with the Kyoto Garden and adjoining Thousand Cranes Room. However, it could not accommodate the size of our party. So we booked a different venue downtown for that. But then when we realized we needed a venue for our morning Tea Ceremony (a traditional part of the Chinese wedding that did not require as much room), we thought the Kyoto Garden was perfect for this! We worked with Gloria and Aeri to get everything set up, and they were professional and responsive throughout the entire process. We even booked the hotel as the place for all our out-of-town guests to stay, as the venue for the post-wedding Sunday brunch, and booked the Garden View Suites for ourselves (which provided a great backdrop for our "getting ready" pictures). All our guests raved about the beauty of the Kyoto Garden. Even though it was in downtown LA, the garden felt intimate and private. We could not have been happier with the ceremony there!

I would like to say that your Venue was absolutely spectacular. The Banquet room was perfect and was mentioned all night, the conversation went something like "OMG this so Beautiful", Gloria and Arie did an outstanding job first with the accommodation and second with the arrangements. Gloria and Arie were constant professionals and very friendly. They made sure we did not leave any stone unturned. The event went off without a hitch or a hiccup. Mom and Dad celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary in style. At the end they felt like a King and Queen and that was exactly what we wanted. The crowd are still talking about the event still. We can't express our gratitude enough!

The sales manager was extremely helpful and dedicated to ensuring the event was a success. Constantly provide reassurance that everything was going to be fabulous. Continuously work with us, providing access to the banquet hall when I need it for design reference. The day of the wedding the staff was available a tentative and extremely nice and supportive . I highly recommend the Doubletree for any high-profile events.

We planned a 6 month engagement at the DoubleTree Hotel Downtown Los Angeles Kyoto Gardens and it went amazing! We had one of our first dates walking through the gardens so it made it sentimental to also get married there. Patrick and Aeri were our contacts, and they were thee best to work with. Having our sweetheart table on a sunny day in the middle of a rainy month with the water reflecting on the ceiling above us and the beautiful garden behind us was the dreamiest scenario that I could think to have on the biggest day of my life as a bride. The gardens were beautifully maintained and gorgeous, many compliments there as well! My pictures with the lush green garden popped so well with my bridesmaids colors of sangria and plum. We got compliments on the food... and the cookies of course!

Our room for the evening (complimentary with Princess package) was a nice treat! They gave us an extra gift as well to celebrate! If I were to do it all over again, I'd choose DoubleTree Downtown again and again. Thanks to the staff that helped make it an amazing day for me, my friends and family. We highly recommend this venue to have for your wedding!

The whole wedding process went very smooth with Doubletree hotel. Communication was prompt and timely. Hotel was very accommodating when we had to change the event date change and moving from outdoor wedding to indoor wedding due to a rain. At the end of the day, we and our guests were very delighted the way the wedding went and how pleasantly we were treated by the event staffs. Strongly recommend for hosting your important event.

The venue is the draw. The Kyoto Garden is beautiful! They know what they are doing as they host hundreds of event every year. So the packages are easy to navigate and affordable.

The Doubletree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown & Kyoto Gardens was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. We did our research and wanted a venue surrounded with nature as well as having the convenience of hotel rooms for our wedding guests and for ourselves. Catering Manager Gloria Guiles and staff were very professional and paid attention to detail,but most importantly they made us feel very comfortable.

Our wedding reception started with cocktail hour at the Kyoto Garden. Our guests could mingle from two levels,the upstairs grassy tree lined garden overlooking the Los Angeles skyline and the terrace below. The upstairs garden has a brook with water flowing giving you a serene feeling in the middle of the hustle and bustle of L.A.. The water from the brook cascaded down a huge waterfall. The lower level of the Kyoto Garden had the bar with waiters circling with delicious appetizers.

Thousand Crane ballroom is unique, it has a full window wall giving guests a backdrop of the Japanese Garden. The ballroom was beautifully dressed and had a table floor plan to bring intimacy into our celebration. Dinner was detailed,well prepared and delicious. We had the filet mignon and Seabass . We were able to choose top shelf liquor for the open bar. To end the night guests left with togo chocolate chip cookies and coffee. My favorite and fun moment was when towards the end of the night I was surprised with a huge platter of French fries, I enjoyed it as much as our guests.

Our special evening was filled with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. We would like to thank Gloria Guiles for making our night a truly wonderful expetience. The Doubletree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown & Kyoto Gardens gave us an incredible value that no other venue was able to do without sacrificing what we wanted. It is an oasis in the middle of Los Angeles with great rooms overlooking the city.

My fiance and I feel in love with the DoubleTree from the moment we met with Gloria, the catering manager. We felt so welcomed from start to finish. The staff at the DoubleTree was amazing accomodating our last minute changes, ordering my fiance's favorite burbon, exceeding our expectations. The Thousand Crane ballroom was perfect for our Japanese themed wedding with a breathtaking view of the garden. We had such a wonderful experience and will be sure to keep them in mind for our future events!

The Kyoto Gardens on the rooftop of this hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Very little additional decoration needed. The venue coordinator and her assistant, Gloria and Aeri, have been absolutely helpful throughout the entire hectic process of planning a wedding. Gloria is also one of the most fun and sweet people you could meet :) Highly recommend!

The Los Angeles Doubletree hotel really knows how to throw an amazing wedding. The vast majority of the credit must go to the Catering Events Manager, Gloria Guiles, and her colleague, Aeri Cho. Whether it was before, during, or after the wedding, those two made every difficult step in planning and executing the wedding easy. Not only did they make sure I had everything I needed to make the wedding the great success that it was, they weren't shy about providing mountains of amenities, direction, and support for myself, my bride, and my guests. Gloria Guiles and Aeri Cho really made my wedding what it was. A night I will never forget. I would encourage anyone that wants to get married to immediately contact them and lock your date down. You will not regret it.

They were very responsive and courteous throughout the planning process and made great suggestions. They were also very accommodating with our last minute changes and speedy in incorporating all of them. As to the actual venue, you have to see it in person. They have great pictures on the website, but the garden is even prettier in person. Thousand Cranes, which is a small ballroom looking out to the garden, was a great venue for our reception for 120 people. I loved having access to Genji room for an outfit change between ceremony and reception. They prepared a tray of hors d'oeuvres and a bottle of sparkling wine for us in the Genji room, which we really appreciated. They also sent up a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries to our room on the night of our wedding. Overall we loved our experience at the hotel and truly highly recommend it to everyone!

The DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown & Kyoto Gardens was a magical venue to get married at. The outdoor Kyoto Gardens was so luscious and green; it provided a spectacular backdrop for the ceremony. After the hors d'oeuvre, the guests were ushered to the ballroom, where we had the entire floor for the guests to mingle. The hotel staff were very attentive, both prior to the wedding and on the day of the wedding. They were very accommodating and made sure that all of our needs were met. We worked mostly with Patrick, the catering sales manager, and he always followed up with us, reminded us of items that needed to be taken care of, and helped create a splendid day for us and our guests. We had a large wedding, about 240 people, and each person had a good time and loved the venue, We would highly recommend Patrick and the entire staff at the DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown & Kyoto Gardens!

We had out wedding ceremony in the Kyoto Gardens and it was great! All the people at the Double tree hotel were great, very accommodating, professional and always available whenever we had any concerns or questions. They certainly made planning our special day very easy.

The venue was beautiful, food was delicious, and the rooftop garden just wowed our guests! My husband and I appreciate everything, we felt very well accommodate. They are very flexible and all the staff were nice. A big thanks to Patrick, Aeri, chef, and the staffs who helped us throughout the wedding!

Ayda and the front desk team did an amazing job for us. In setting up the block for our rooms, the communication was clear and helpful. When we arrived the staff was knowledgable, helpful and on point. They made the best weekend of our live better than we expected.

The Kyoto Garden was like a little oasis away from the city, and provided the perfect private ceremony and reception space for our special day. And can we talk about the food, the food was AMAZING! All of our guests were so impressed by the food we served at our wedding, and kept saying "it is the best wedding food they have ever had!" Gloria mentioned to us that wedding food often has a bad stigma, and that they make it a point at their hotel to have really amazing food, and boy was she right. We can not thank Gloria and Aeri enough for being nothing but accommodating throughout the entire process and for the wonderful chocolate strawberries and champaign in our honeymoon suite! We definitely recommend the Doubletree by Hilton DTLA to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding. The staff is more than wonderful, and the venue itself, is great.

We had a wonderful experience working with the Doubletree staff, and the venue itself couldn't have been more perfect. Gloria and her staff were extremely flexible and able to work with us to meet our needs. Our ceremony was in the Kyoto Garden, the cocktail hour was on the adjacent patio, and our reception was in the Thousand Cranes ballroom overlooking the pond and waterfall area. It was not only beautiful, but perfectly convenient to have everything at the same site. The food was delicious, and our guests raved about the entire event. Luckily we had good weather, but when we were searching for a venue, we wanted something that could accomodate a random day of rain in a way that would be free of stress and not add $$ to the budget. The Doubletree DTLA was perfect from this aspect as well. In the event of rain, we would have moved the ceremony into the Thousand Cranes room with the guests facing the window that overlooks the pond and the waterfall. This type of versatility is not easy to find. Last but not least, the entire venue was a gorgeous backdrop for our photographs and for memories that will last a lifetime.

We booked the DoubleTree for our wedding and we must say it was one of the best choices we made overall. All of our relatives were in love with the Kyoto Garden and how it made our Ceremony that much more amazing.
I don't know who they hire to do their catering but the food is by far the best "wedding" food we have ever had. We had The Seabass and Steak as food options and I can't say there was one disappointed person with their meal. The food presentation was perfect as if we were dining at a high end restaurant.

Lastly I would like the say, beside the beautiful garden and great food, no of it would have mattered if the staff was not amazing as well. It was clear that this was not their first wedding as the process was as smooth as a wedding cake. My wife and I were able to have a blast the whole night with no worries or concerns. Patrick Rafferty made my fiancé (now Husband) and I feel like family from the very beginning. He was incredibly helpful and responsive through out the process. He answered all of our questions and gave us such amazing ideas and advice about the cermony and reception. The staff there were really helpful as well. The morning of the wedding the front desk staff Napoleon, housekeeping and security moved 120 chairs out of the bridal suite in 10 minutes so my makeup artist could set up her station at 6am. Everyone there went above and beyond to make sure that my ceremony and reception was amazing. The food was delicious! You will not regret having your ceremony or reception there.

There are no words to describe the services provided by Gloria Guiles and Aeri Cho. To make my wife happy was all I ever wanted. They provided that and more. Awesome just awesome.

Double Tree catering team is amazing! My experience there was beyond imaginable and my wedding will be the talk of the season. They really know how to assist you with your vision of your wedding and how to best put that into motion. From the first time I met Gloria Guiles, catering manager, we knew we wanted to get married there; Kyoto Gardens is a place you must see if you're thinking of getting married in the LA area. The view is breathtaking and pictures don't give it justice, so go see it in person. I will never forget this experience and I plan on staying friends with Gloria for years to come... my fiancé and I have decided that we will be gifting ourselves and one night stay every month at the Double Tree, Kyoto Garden in LA. Ms. Gloria Guiles (Catering Manager) and Ms. Aeri Cho (Sales and Catering Admin. Asst.) went above and beyond to make my event a success! They were always professional, attentive, courteous and available, which made it a breeze and less stressful to plan the event. Any question I had, they answered promptly; any changes I made, they made immediately. If you are open to suggestions, they have great ideas on recommendations to make your event less stressful and the party more successful. During the event, the entire Doubletree staff were awesome. All the way from the valet when you come in, to the front desk, to the security, to the banquet manager Felix, to the event manager Gabriel, and the banquet staff. I am very impressed on the attitude of all the staff members. They were all a pleasure to work with. I have recommended this location to all my friends who were not at the event because it was for my mother. All those who attended were very impressed with the location, ambiance of the Kyoto Garden, and the food. Looks like we will all be coming back for future events for different occasions!

My husband and I had 3 months to plan our wedding. There were so many locations to choose from that we were not sure which location would work for us. Thankfully, once we meet Patrick Rafferty and his team it was an easy decision. The ballroom and gardens were exactly what we were looking. During the entire process Aeri and Patrick keep us well informed of our options and made suggestions that helped us make decisions that fit our budget and style. They were very responsive to our questions and needs.

We had our Retirement Party at the Double Tree by Hilton Downtown Los Angeles and had a BLAST. Catering Manager Gloria Guiles worked with us. Gloria was very patient with us throughout the whole event assuring me that everything would be ok. And she was right, it was perfect. She gave us ideas to work with, with the amount of people we were hosting. She worked with all of my people and was professional the entire time. All of my guest were pleased with the venue and the staff that assisted us during the party. And the food was fantastic! I have referred Gloria Guuiles to several people.

I couldn't have asked for a better venue and staff! The planning of my wedding was seamless, Gloria and Liz were nothing but helpful and I felt such a personal connection to them both, as if I had extensions of my family helping me orchestrate our special day. We hosted our destination wedding at a near by venue and had all of the guests stay at the Double Tree by Hilton. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and I would highly recommend the hotel. We had over 100 guests staying at the hotel and Ayda and Rosalind were helpful through it all. From booking the room block, to changing reservations, adding rooms and even hosting a brunch in their restaurant, the entire staff was great and all of our guests felt welcome. It was an important part of our wedding to have everyone staying together and the DoubleTree made the possible with great rates and service.

When the time came for us to look for a venue for our wedding, naturally we researched on the internet first. So, after about a week or 2 of researching, we narrowed it down to 3 venues. I scheduled 3 wedding site appointments in 1 day and the final venue for the day was the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel DTLA. Little Tokyo is less than 10 minutes away from my house so that was a big plus. When we got there we were greeted by Gloria Guiles, the catering manager. She was so friendly and helpful. I loved her upbeat attitude. She also offered us those delicious DoubleTree cookies. Yum! She took us to the Japanese garden on the roof and as soon as I saw it, I fell in love. I knew this was where I wanted to get married. My then fiancé (now husband) is half Japanese and I thought it be so nice to get married in a Japanese garden. Also, for some reason, we felt so relaxed here despite the long day we had. It was like a whole other world. We couldn't even hear the traffic of downtown L.A./Little Tokyo. We knew this was it. It was a little out of our budget at the time, but we worked it out in the end.

Gloria and her assistant Liz were great throughout the whole planning phase. They were very helpful every step up of the way. They tried to answer all our questions and concerns in a timely manner, whether by phone or email. I appreciated that. Even on the day of the wedding, Gloria was so helpful. The waiting staff at the wedding were great as well. Everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding.

The original location I had booked for my wedding cancelled my date six months before the wedding. A friend recommended the Kyoto Gardens at the Double Tree and I'm so glad she did. Not only was the garden breathetaking but Gloria Guiles and her assistant Liz Gudino were amazingly helpful. Gloria helped my in every way I needed and I truly felt that she cared about helping me make my day perfect and stress free. Everything was perfect, Gloria was wonderful and the Garden was gorgeous. I didn't even have to decorate it, the Garden itself is so beautiful it made for the most amazing wedding photos I could have asked for and I have received endless compliments on the pictures as well. We also booked a few suites and rooms for ourselves and guests, and the rooms were so nice and clean and the service was awesome. I would definitely recommend the Double Tree for any event you may have, not only is it a great place but Gloria is wonderful person and will make your dream come true!

My then fiancé knew we wanted a garden ceremony and an indoor reception. We visited many different places throughout the city, and are so happy we chose the Doubletree for our wedding! First, the Asian garden is absolutely beautiful- the perfect space to accommodate our party which was about 110. Second, Gloria, the catering manager, was absolutely fantastic! She was always available, on top of everything, listened, and offered suggestions which were in alignment with what we were looking to do. She and her entire team were great from the time we booked until the end of the reception! Lastly, for all that our wedding package included, the price was definitely considerably more reasonable than other places which didn't offer nearly as much. My now husband and I have wonderful memories of our wedding day, largely because we got married at the perfect place!

It was a wonderful experience having our wedding reception at DoubleTree Los Angeles. On top of that they have an amazing event coordinator, Gloria. She's very accommodating and easy to work with. She will discuss with you every details and help you step by step. Our wedding preparation wouldn't be easier without her help. She made sure all our needs was attended. She really listens to you. She gave us a lot of complimentary rooms that we needed before and after the wedding. The hotel itself is a very beautiful venue especially their garden, where we held our photo shoot. It's a great location knowing its by downtown Los Angeles. My guests were really awe with our venue. I highly recommend the location not only as a wedding reception venue but to those who are looking for a garden wedding venue.

We got married on the rooftop garden and had our reception in the large ballroom on august 27. First of all, the venue was absolutely beautiful. I was a little concerned as to how well 150 guests would fit in the garden, but they made it it happen! And the indoor ballroom was stunning and turned out beautiful in pictures. Li-ling Li, our catering and event manager, was an absolute treasure to work with! Very responsive and got everything right with table placements and linens, and she has a wonderfully warm personality. The food was delicious ( steak, lobster, Polynesian salad), and the price point was perfect!!

Our event coordinator, Victoria, was a pleasure to work with. She was accomodating in every way and made sure our day went smoothly and without problems.

Our ceremony was held in the outdoor Japanese garden and our reception was held in the grand ballroom.

This was the first venue that I toured--based on the pictures alone, it was a frontrunner. Gloria did a fantastic job walking me through the space, painting a picture of what my wedding would look like in the venue. Gloria was a wealth of information. She answered most of my questions before I had the chance to ask them. That tour set the bar high, and gave me an idea of what to ask at other venues. I'd started referring to the Doubletree as "my venue" before we'd signed the contract! The garden is breathtaking, who knew something like it exists in the middle of downtown LA? I love the waterfalls scattered around the garden. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. Gloria was there for the rehearsal and on the wedding day, checking to make sure that everything was running smoothly. There is a room for the bridal party to get ready in, just off of the reception hall. The food was delicious and the space was the perfect size for our party. The wedding comes with a one-night stay in the honeymoon suite overlooking the gardens, which is where we staged our "bridal party getting ready" photos. It also allowed my bridal party to spy on our first look photos, which we had in front of the waterfall. I could not imagine a better place for our wedding.

Everything was obviously new to us as neither of us had married before, but Gloria and Aeri were very helpful in guiding us through the entire process. They were on point from start to finish and really gave us the wedding we had hoped for at such a beautiful location. From the rehearsal to the wedding, everything went smoothly from our perspective, which just shows the amount of professionalism they have. On the night of the event, Kevin and his team worked flawlessly to make the event seamless and without interruption. Thank you to all involved. It was a wonderful evening.

This is such a beautiful venue! It gives the ability for urban, garden, indoor, and outdoor for the wedding. I was so hesitant to book any indoor venues as I didn't want to feel like we were in a stuffy ballroom. However, hot afternoons made us want to move our banquet inside. The room has a whole wall of floor to ceiling windows that looks out into the garden, so it still gives the impression of outside while being able to stay comfortable indoors.

Gloria and Aeri helped make our wedding day so special. They were welcoming and excited for our East meets West in an New England Fall theme. Both Gloria and Aeri made us feel special and took time to make sure we had everything we needed. The catering manager Rachel was on point and her staff made sure dinner was amazing, everyone loved the food. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the DoubleTree and it was done in such a lovely way up on the rooftop garden terrace. The hotel gave us a complimentary room on our wedding night and it was just what we needed after dancing the night away. We love DoubleTree and highly recommend them for their professionalism and care.

Wonderful staff and extremely responsive event/wedding coordinators and catering director. Low-stress wedding planning. Packages are all-inclusive so there is little to worry about. Staff does wonderful job of following up and answering any questions/concerns. Guests raved about the food. Garden was well manicured--you would never know you are in the middle of downtown LA. Would highly recommend if you want low-stress wedding planning.

My husband and I just had our wedding at the Doubletree Hotel in Downtown LA. We held our ceremony in the rooftop Kyoto Garden which was the perfect outdoor backdrop for our small & intimate wedding of approximately 100 guests. The lush landscape, flowing water and waterfall created a serene escape from the busy downtown. It was great to have the outdoor space to hold the ceremony and the cocktail reception. What we liked best was that the hotel provided the entire floor for our use. We held the reception in the Thousand Cranes Ballroom which was located at the same level as the garden. One side of the room was made of glass which has a view of the garden and the waterfall. It felt like we were a part of the garden while enjoying our dinner in the comfort of an indoor reception hall. The hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They even provided a large lounge as our hospitality room to get ready and rest in between our events. Last but not least, we were really happy that the wedding package provided an one-night stay at the hotel on the night of the wedding. After such a long and eventful day, we appreciated the convenience of being able to get a good night's rest on their comfy king-sized bed. Overall, we had a good experience working with the hotel to have our wedding and reception there.

The Doubletree Hilton in Downtown Los Angeles was a perfect venue for our Japanese garden wedding. The catering staff was professional and were prepared weeks in advance with back-up plans in case of weather especially in early January. Luckily, the sun was out and we enjoyed our dream garden wedding. On the day-of the catering staff worked with our wedding coordinator to ensure all was running smoothly. We received feedback from our guests who enjoyed the food, the wait staff as well as the bartenders were all professional. Thank you Gloria and Aeri!

We had our wedding reception at the DoubleTree Hilton in Downtown LA. Leading up to the date the staff was very responsive and accommodating to helping me coordinate various parts of the wedding reception (i.e. helping set up screen for slideshow, accommodations for music gear, etc.). When we had the tasting for the food they were attentive to our needs and varying tastes. The food itself was very good, particularly the sea bass dish (although it cost extra). The day of the reception was crazy (not surprisingly so), but the staff was quick to react to small changes here and there and helped the event run very smoothly.

The Kyoto, and its catering department, are nothing if not flexible. What sets them apart is their willingness to make your needs paramount. While other venues can be limiting and their staff a bit snobby, The Kyoto aims to please. I daresay they go above and beyond, bringing to bear a work ethic rarely seen in a place where even struggling artists can afford to be wed. If this place is trying to make a name for itself, it certainly has the right staff to do so.

I'd suggest using the in-house wedding planner that they suggest, it will make your life, and the caterer's, much easier and have things go more smoothly. This isn't to say that you must have a planner, but since the policy here is to afford you as much flexibility as possible, you may find yourself floundering about without someone to hold your dream together beyond the walls of the hotel, where the catering departments responsibilities end. That said, our experience with Dave Alexson (the current head caterer) was so agreeable that I daresay the man could make a good living as a wedding planner if his responsibilities weren't to the hotel's wedding department. This is the type of place that, if you have a sinus infection, you'll also have someone there to walk you to the nearest doctor.

Top marks for this venue, and many thanks to the staff and especially to Mr. Alexson.

We loved working with the DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown. We had our ceremony in their beautiful Kyoto Gardens and the reception in their Thousand Cranes Ballroom. The staff was very easy to work with and had a very talented vendor list from which we hired several of our vendors. The wedding was perfect, felt personalized to our tastes, and we still get comments on our beautiful location.

Would definitely recommend Doubletree LA to friends. Gloria Guiles was an absolute angel to work with. Staff was very professional. The garden is beautiful and location is great for Downtown, LA wedding photos. The only downside was the hospitality room. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

The presidential suite was worth all the money. It was home base for everyone. Plus we got ready there. Perfect for wedding parties.

From the first day we went to view the place, I knew this was it! The venue is amazing, I couldn't have dreamt it better myself. I wanted my ceremony to be outside in a garden type setting and the reception inside. This place had everything. The garden is beautiful! I have no complaints with the venue itself. The staff is amazing. The planning process was done with easy, due to the event manager Gloria and her assistant Liz. Anytime I had a question or needed more information, they would reply to my emails very quickly. The day of the event Gloria was not there, but she left us in great hands with her event staff. Anything that was missing or needed to get done, they were on it. They moved very quickly to make sure all that was needed was available. Their charisma and helpfulness was a breathe of fresh air and definitely helped to calm this brides anxiety. The DoubleTree team is amazing and wouldn't have had my wedding anywhere else. It helps that the food is amazing also :) You get a whole lot for not a lot, what more could a bride ask for!

The site was beautiful and ceremony was lovely and shady. They provided a bridal room and a groom room for us to change in. The reception room was also beautiful looking out over the garden.

It was a pleasure to work with Ayda Ohan and Rosalind Pargas in coordinating guests for my daughter's wedding. Ayda and Rosalind were extremely professional and flexible in booking many rooms for our family and friends. Juggling everyone's schedules can be quite challenging and it was very seamless working with Ayda and Rosalind. They both game me peace of mind during a very hectic time.

We even received Complimentary champagne and strawberries to our room and our daughter's room upon arrival...that is in addition to the hot chocolate chip cookies :)

We loved our wedding at the Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens. Shalom and her staff were always open to meeting with us, and responded to emails in a timely manner. The day of the wedding was beautiful. However, we had been told that setup could begin at 5 pm in the garden area, and when we got there, the other group was still there. It caused a bit of a time crunch for the other vendors, but things got done. Overall, it was a beautiful venue, and the food was great (especially the lamb chop appetizers). Many guests complimented us on our choice of venue.

We loved our wedding at this venue. Our only complaint is that two of the signs in the lobby had the wrong time on them, and were not changed so several friends missed the ceremony. Over all wonderful food, great service and would recommend to others!

I cannot begin to express how amazing David Alexson was for our wedding. We had our ceremony out in the garden and our reception in the 1000 Cranes room. He was so friendly and helpful, he really helped put me at ease, especially with my Mom-Zilla. The food was excellent! I was so worried because I have heard people hate wedding food but this was so delicious! People loved it. Dave really helped us nail down a price within our budget. We actually ended up with less people coming so we were able to include things for our guests (like parking). The gardens are beautiful (and they're so romantic at night). The staff was great and very prompt with requests during the reception. (FYI - They did not do our cake. We got it from a bakery we love.)

I had a beautiful wedding at the Kyoto Grand. The only thing prohibiting them from a perfect review is the level of service my guests had received from the service staff. I do not want to go into great detail as I would rather highlight positive aspects of the day.

Dave was wonderful throughout the entire planning process. He was very accommodating and flexible. It was surely a pleasure working with him.

The venue, amazing! The food, amazing! Responsiveness of staff, amazing! Downside, everythihg comes at a cost (except the cake cutting), upside of that, they are transparent about all costs. The venue was well worth all of it though!
