Beautiful venue and great staff
It is a beautiful venue with plenty of parking. John (Director of Catering) was amazing to work with. The staff at the hotel were super accommodating, nice and pleasant to interact with. Getting Doubletree cookies for our wedding guests was a plus. The rooms provided for getting ready were very nice and helpful the day of the wedding. -

Amazing!!!
John was so wonderful in helping plan my husband's surprise party. Responded to my millions of questions via email all most instantly. The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive during the party. We stayed in the executive suite and slept like royalty. I'm already thinking of another event I can have there. I highly recommend them. -

Let me start off by saying I am a perfectionist and it takes a lot for me to be impressed, however John Gutzwiller and the DoubleTree are amazing! They far exceeded our expectations. John went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our event was perfect. He was always available to answer all of our questions and genuinely cared about making sure we had a wonderful time and our wedding was worry free and ran smoothly. John worked with us to coordinate the evening from the beginning to the end and went over every detail of the night with us... answering many questions and assuring us he was there if we needed anything at all. We are so grateful that our family wedding was such a memorable event and know that John and the DoubleTree made that happen for us! -

We had our wedding reception at the Double Tree by Claremont on October 17, 2014 and let me tell you we made the right choice. John Gutzwiller the Director of Catering was so tentative and amazing to work with. The venue was beautiful the staff was great and the food was amazing! Loved everything about it! ? -

From the very beginning, the team at the Doubletree by Hilton, Claremont have been nothing but accommodating, helpful, and supportive of all our wedding ideas and requests. Knowing that food was a priority on our list, John G. and Executive Chef Matt went above and beyond to create a full custom buffet menu that combined two cuisines and also allowed us to make adjustments for what we envisioned. John made wedding planning so easy and simple and he conducted business with utmost professionalism. Our guests are still raving about the unique menu and how delicious everything was. We couldn't be happier having hosted our reception at the Doubletree! -

The planning process, support and help giving by John (at the doubletree) was priceless. My husband and I feel that John, his venue and the preferred vendors he recommended truly brought our dream wedding to life. Leading up to our big day, John was always easy to communicate with, no question went unanswered which made everything fall into place. To sum up how amazing our wedding day was, on the airplane going to our honeymoon, my husband said, "Saturday was so perfect, I would pay for it all over again." Worth EVERY penny!!! -

Reception only-
John from the Double Tree was so easy to work with. He is efficient and responsible. Very sweet man and just has the best laugh. He was on top of everything. Any questions I had he was always ready with a response or would quickly find out. Our reception was truly beautiful and he stayed until we were seated and happy. Thank you. Was such a beautiful day! -

There are not sufficient words to describe how happy my husband and I were with our experience dealing with the Claremont Doubletree as our wedding venue. We sat down with John Guzwiller (the Director of Catering) for our first meeting, and it was the first time in all of the wedding hunting that I didn’t feel like a second-class citizen for not needing the largest, most expensive package! He answered all of my ridiculous questions, sat there patiently while I looked through my wedding binder to make sure I didn’t miss anything. He was so helpful, I finally knew we had found the right space (and the right staff) for our special day.
We had a lot of things that made our wedding unique, and therefore, a bit high maintenance. It was a rainbow wedding, so I needed 7 different colors for my chair ties. I had bookmarks for seating cards, so I needed 2 tables to fit them all...the list goes on and on. Yet, despite all of our special requests and labor intensive extra jobs, John never stopped listening when I talked about my vision. Emails were always promptly answered, and it was simple to make payments, set up a room block, make changes...etc.
My wedding was so beautiful and unique. It would not have been as wonderful as I had imagined had I gone anywhere else. The Claremont Doubletree and John Guzwiller exceeded all of my expectations. I cannot even begin to count how many guests told me that the food was the best they had ever had at at wedding, or the guests that told me it was simply the best food they had ever had. All of the rooms were spotless, the staff was friendly, and my guests felt like they were being taken care of!
My day went smoothly and everything was GORGEOUS! I cannot stress enough how outstanding my wedding experience was with the Claremont Doubltree. I cannot even imagine what it would have been like in another venue. I was wowed at every step- estimate to wedding day. How many brides can really say they have no regrets? I can! -

John was fabulous! He took care of our entire event. We purchased the outdoor patio for our cocktail hour and when the weather got gloomy he asked us if we wanted to move it into the other ballroom just in case the rain decides to hit. He was fabulous to work with- he fixed issues that I had caught. It is a put pricey but totally worth it. The doubletree cookies are a special treat. You can't go wrong by having your reception at the doubletree :) -

Working with John was such a pleasure. He was friendly from the start and did everything to make the event tailored to our needs. He worked closely with the chef to create an amazing menu, he made sure everything ran smoothly, and the set up was amazing. His availability, helpfulness, and customer service were so great. Our wedding turned out to be so much more than I ever imagined. Thanks! -

If I could give John 10 stars I would. He made everything perfect. He responded extremely quick to any and all questions we had. Made minor suggestions along the way that were right on the mark. I don't trust many people but I trusted him and I'm so thankful I did. If your looking for this type of a venue I wouldn't look any farther than John and his staff at the Doubletree in Claremont! -

We had our June 2013 wedding at the DoubleTree and it was truly amazing. The main reason is John, their Director of Catering. He's was absolutely the reason everything was so easy. He was incredibly responsive and detail oriented. We never had one minute of worry that something wouldn't be exactly as we wanted it. Food was good, cake was beautiful and tasty (you can go through their bakeries, which I would suggest).
The space is beautiful and well kept. A large portion of our guests were out of town and they had nothing but good things about their rooms. As we were the bride and groom, we had a wedding suite that was absolutely beautiful. We totally recommend this venue, you can't beat the value for the amazing service you get. -

My wedding was absolutely FLAWLESS!! I couldn't be more happy with the services, it was classy and elegant I had an amazing time and so did all of my guests. The food was great and the tables were gorgeous, I couldn't have been any happier! It was definitely a night I wish to relive over and over, thank you John & the Double Tree staff for making our wedding fabulous!

I can't even begin to describe how amazing this venue is. It really is a diamond in the rough! The catering director, John Gutzwiller, was so amazing that words can't even describe just how great he is. John was super helpful throughout the planning process and was always, always responsive to anything that we needed or had questions about. We absolutely loved everything about the venue and all its staff. The staff was so helpful and was always checking in on us to make sure we were okay. If you are looking for a good venue to get married at, this is a great one: wonderful staff, good food with huge portions, and a beautiful location. -

Our event was flawless. John Gutzwiller is a coordinator extraordinaire. We had some rather unusual circumstances, and he handle them all with experience, finesse, and humor. In fact, the whole staff was professional and friendly.
I would highly recommend The DoubleTree, Claremont for your next event. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

The Double Tree Hilton of Claremont was AMAZING!! The friendly staff, helpfulness of the Director of Catering, John, and the person who helped us with our rooms, Krystle were amazing!!! We used every vendor from their recommended vendor list, not because they recommended them, but because the vendors were in fact AMAZING to work with! They were affordable for our budget and they all had previously worked together even more which made our wedding day run so smoothly! We could not afford a wedding coordinator, and having all the vendors who had previously worked with the hotel staff was as if we had had everything coordinated. I cannot thank John and his team enough for all of their help in making our wedding so great! -

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with everyone we spoke with at the Doubletree Hotel Claremont. We had been planning our wedding reception from Columbus, OH with a lot of anxiety (mostly on my part) and with the help of
John Gutzwiller, everything turned out AMAZING and more than I ever anticipated. We have been told over and over again from our guests how polite and attentive all the staff was and how beautiful the courtyard was decorated. We would highly recommend this facility for any wedding, reception, special event. Again, John was of so much help and answered any question I had without making me feel like I was bothering him. Thank you again!! -

I absolutely loved the doubletree in claremont! John was amazing to work with. On our first meeting with the doubletree i knew thats where i wanted to get married. John went over and beyond to help us, he was great! Him and the staff there did such a great job! i have not one complaint about my wedding day and i have the doubletree to thank for that! -

John Gutzwiller at the DoubleTree Claremont Hotel was absolutely outstanding. He had the ability to not only do what we expected from him, but go above and beyond the call of duty to help make our wedding reception into the most wonderful day of our lives. He was always there throughout our journey to answer any questions we had and schedule our appointments after he normal working hours in order to accommodate our work schedules. Overall, the DoubleTree is a beautiful place to celebrate any event with a superb staff in all departments. I have already referred a personal friend who is getting married in April! -

Jon at the Double Tree Hotel Claremont was absolutely wonderful.... My wife and I started looking for a venue about a year and a half before our date looking for the perfect place to host our special day. To be very honest, we took one look at the place and it was the perfect place for us. The price was right and the amount of services and other vendors that were apart of our package couldn't be any better!! The best bang for your buck with a beautiful scenery. -

This hotel setting was perfect for our son's rehearsal dinner. I enjoyed planning the banquet buffet menu with the enthusiastic, professional Mr. Gutzwiller who was very and helpful. We were able to hold the event outdoors, and the atmosphere of the courtyard, its trees adorned with lights and fountain bubbling, was charming. We were permitted to bring our own decorations (candles) and recorded music. Mr. Gutzwiller referred me to Carol's florist and they did lovely centerpieces. The quality and presentation of the dinner exceeded my expectations. It was costly, but our guests enjoyed delicious food and drink, and we had the time of our lives. -

From beginning to end, we received great service. Everything about our wedding turned out beautiful and stress-free. The food was delicious and the service during the reception was prompt and attentive. Our guests had a great time as did we. We had our ceremony in the courtyard which is gorgeous. It was very private and serene. We had a wonderful time at our wedding! The entire staff was awesome! John is a lifesaver! He is extremely professional. He responds quickly to every little email that I had. Cocktail hour was a hit and dinner was delicious!! Our family and friends were extremely impressed with the venue, service and staff. It's a hidden treasure and the bonus is that its extremely AFFORDABLE!!!!!We are so glad that we chose the Doubletree hotel!!

Couldn't have asked for more. Having our wedding here exceeded our expectations and we are astounded at the value - everything is high class and elegant and professional. The staff was wonderful, and John even arranged for a special meal for one of our guests who eats only raw vegan.
John is phenomenal - he's really what makes this venue outstanding.

I received multiple comments about what a beautiful venue the courtyard was to hold the ceremony. The ballroom was exquisite and the staff from onset of planning to clean up was outstanding!! This made "our day" a day to remember! -

The Doubletree Claremont and staff did a wonderful job on making our wedding day easy. The Director of Catering, John Gutzwiller, was a pleasure to work with. John was very generous and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our special day even more special. The staff were very pleasant and hardworking and treated our guests how we would want them to be treated.
John was very responsive in regards to any questions that we may have had and he responded within a timely manner. John & the Doubletree staff were very professional as well. We thought that we got the most value for our money. Prices were reasonable which made it easier for us to stay within our budget. The hotel and staff were quite flexible with our needs and requests.
We wanted a place where we could have the ceremony and reception so our guests did not have to drive. The courtyard where we got married was absolutely amazing and made our pictures look even more beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing as well and not to mention the Doubletree cookies are to die for! Mmmmm so good! The room and suites were quite spacious and very clean.
If you are getting married and want a place that has it all then I highly recommend the Doubletree Claremont. The hotel and surroundings are absolutely beautiful and the staff are very wonderful to work with! -

I had the wedding of my dreams at the Doubletree Hotel Claremont. John Gutzwiller and the entire staff at the hotel are absolutely the best in the business. They executed every detail of my wedding with perfection. The entire hotel staff was courteous and professional, which made the entire day run smoothly.
We had our ceremony in the beautiful outdoor courtyard area of the hotel. Because the area is completely covered, it was shady and comfortable even in the middle of the summer. We then had our cocktail reception in the hotel's ballrooms. I was in constant awe about how beautiful the ceremony and reception turned out.
We got so many complements from our guests about how amazing the food tasted. For our appetizers, we opted for the loaded mashed potatoes in a martini glass and shrimp cocktail. Not only was the presentation spectacular, our guests raved about how delicious they tasted. In fact, some of our guests told us that the mashed potatoes were the best they had ever tasted! Our guests also raved about how moist and tender the chicken breast and filet mignon were at dinner. We had 220 guest and the expert staff at the Doubletree served all of our guests within minutes, which is definitely amazing.
I would highly recommend the Doubletree Hotel Claremont if you are looking for a fabulous wedding venue. The food, staff and location are top notch. I am an extreme perfectionist and this hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations. You will not regret having your wedding here.

I love this place. My now husband and I decided to plan our wedding in 8 weeks. We had no idea on what to do. We came to the double tree hotel and John was amazing. He was so helpful and gave us a list of vendors to make it easy for us. We were able to put it all together in only 6 weeks. My guest had a great time and said the place was beautiful. I am very happy we got married at the Double Tree in Claremont!!!!!!!!!! -

The doubletreee was a great place to get married at AND have the reception. The ceremony was beautiful! The best part was that no one had to travel from ceremony to reception and they could spend the night if they got too tired or had a little to much to drink! John was very helpful and professional! i would definately recommend to get married at the doubletree claremont! -

We had an incredibly positive experience for my daughter’s wedding at the Doubletree Claremont. John and his staff made the day stress free and absolutely beautiful. Throughout the planning, John’s communication was timely and professional as well as detail oriented. As the wedding day neared, we felt calm and assured that all would go smoothly and it did! During the reception, the serving staff was attentive and helpful. The hors d’oeuvres were especially delicious, and the main entrée was hot, delicious, and exactly as we had seen it in the tasting session. The packages they offer are reasonable and a great value for the money. For a relaxing and beautiful experience I highly recommend the Doubletree at Claremont.

My husband and myself looked quite a few places and stumbled upon this venue.
The website doesnt do justice to the venue, it has a really gourgeous courtyard that we used for our wedding/reception
The courtlyard had beautiful wall waterfall, you must see to appreciate. Well maintained grounds.
John was outstanding with accomidating our request for the day. Usually wedding food isnt to good & cold,.. but our food was hot & tasted great, Bartender was on his toes. Also John's recommendation for Bakery was a real hit, people are still asking us where did we get the cake from. The staff was professional & courteous.
Anyways, Please go check this place out in nice location, not overpriced, great for small & large weddings. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a venue. I was very happy with it and I really looked at a lot of places before the Doubletree.

The day of our event was stressful and chaotic but everything somehow fell into place once we arrived at your beautiful hotel! The banquet room looked spectacular and the service provided was equivalent to a five-star restaurant!! Dinner was delicious too!! My guests were stunned to receive such great service. Your head server, Lupita, was wonderful to work with and her staff were attentive, courteous, and served with a smile... :) You are very lucky to have such wonderful people working for you. I loved the way the Double Tree staff catered to my every need! As a bride on a budget, coordinating the entire wedding might seem overwhelming to anyone. This was not the case with Claremont's Double Tree catering staff. They were very helpful with all the details (i.e., decor of the venue) needed to make my wedding a beautiful and an unforgettable one. The vendors suggested by the catering department and the after wedding accomodations included were awesome too! All of our guests complimented us on the top notch service rendered by the entire staff. The cake was to die for! Need I say more???? -

My Husband and I had looked at several different locations to have our wedding ceremony and reception. It ended up being a frustrating situation at most places because they would not listen to our visions we had for our special wedding day. On top if it the cost for most of the venues was through the roof! We walked away from many venue tours feeling let down, disapointed and wondering if we would be able to find the perfect place for our wedding or if we would end up having to just settle on one of the venues that we were not thrilled about.
Then, we decided to visit the DoubleTree in Claremont. This was the turning point in our quest to find our perfect venue for our wedding! We started by calling he front desk to ask them a few questions and they were extremely helpful in assisting us with our questions and directing us to the Director of Catering, John. John has the most welcoming warm personality that made us feel very comfortable. When we met him, my husband and I instantly new we had to work with him for our wedding! John gave us a wonderful tour of the beautiful DoubleTree hotel! We absolutely loved the romantic, green, lush courtyard and the large banquet room in which we easily personalized with the theme and decor of our wedding. John took the time to listen to all of our thoughts, concerns, needs and wants for our wedding ceremony and reception. He made helpful suggestions when appropriate and went over and beyond on every last detail.
Every step of the wedding planning process with John and the staff of the DoubleTree was fun, exciting and most importantly, easy! John was especially accommodating with helping with our every need. He made terrific suggestions to help us stick to our budget and always made us feel like he was one of our closest friends who truly cared about the success of our special wedding day!
Our friends and family still compliment us on what a beautiful, successful, and memoriable wedding we had. John and the DoubleTree staff made all of our guests feel comfortable and our out of town guests that stayed at the DoubleTree really felt special and truly made everyone's experience a memorable one!
My husband and I still enjoy thinking about how lucky we were to find such an incredible venue and we still feel very fortunate that we were able to work with such amazing people, especially John! The quality of service was absolutely flawless, and our wedding could not have been more perfect thanks to the professionalism provided by DoubleTree's staff! -

John is AMAZING! He is very flexible and accommodating. He gives great attention to every detail to help you create the most fantasic event. I wanted a specific berry salad with a raspberry vinagrete and it was beautifully created and tasted even better than I immagined. The staff is very professional, friendly and just overall phenomenal. Our wedding service was outstanding. John and all of the staff worked so well with our other vendors that everything just flowed seamlessly from cocktails and hor'dorves downstairs to dinner, drinks and dancing upstairs. The food was to die for, all of our guests raved about it. Thank you John! -

The Claremont Doubletree was a beautiful location for my and my husbands wedding. We had our reception outdoors in their courtyard and we couldn't of asked for better. The weather was perfect this fourth of July and were even able to see the fireworks that were being shot off across at the Claremont Colleges. A day to remember indeed. -

The director of catering for the Doubletree Hotel in Claremont, John Gutzwiller, was absolutely wonderful! He was very helpful and flexible to meet our needs. He was quick to respond and always accommodated us for everything. The hotel itself is very beautiful; we had our ceremony in the courtyard and the reception in the ballroom. My fiance (at the time, now husband) and I fell in love with the hotel for it's cozyness yet beautiful landscape. The area and town of Claremont itself had a beautiful setting. The prices (at the time we booked our wedding) was very affordable for what we wanted and needed than many places we looked around for. I would recommend the Doubletree Hotel in Claremont for your dream wedding...mine was a dream come true! -

John Gutzwiller was our catering coordinator. He was just perfect, exact, timely, helpful, knowledgeable and up beat. This was a retirement party for my wife as she celebrated forty-three years of nursing. I told John that it was wonderful to have my expectations surpassed. We absolutely excited that we had our wedding at this reception area. We could not be happier with the service that we received. We were very happy with all the services they provided. The price of this reception site was expensive, however, a lot cheaper then many of the other places we saw. Besides, that point, they were completely worth every single penny. The only problem we experienced was that we wanted a head table but because we maxed out the hall we could not have one. At the reception though, we did not even notice that all we had was a sweetheart table. -

As my sister and I drove around looking for a place for my wedding I was at my wits end and as soon as I showed up to the DoubleTree in Claremont and met John I knew that this was going to be the place. My sister, John and I hit it off right away and that alone made me happy because I wanted someone that I could get along with in order to make the wedding planning easier and fun and John totally made that happen. I think the only thing I regret is going through one of their "preferred" vendors for the linens. I would have preferred to pay a little extra then to have worked with a different linen vendor that just gave me a headache! My husband and I only had our reception here so the quality of service was amazing, but when it came to refilling water glasses it took forever and I just took the liberty of refilling my own glass with my own pitcher of water that I snatched. he he he...
When it came to asking John questions through email he was very quick to respond and give you the answers you needed. He and the DoubleTree staff were always professional and always gave you warm chocolate chip cookies, which you can never say no to :)
Just like any other business you have to try to make a profit and they sure did on charging $350 for a domestic keg that you can get at a liquor store for $100, but that's just how the business rolls!
John was very flexible with meeting times, but my husband and I had a tight budget and a wedding coordinator was not in our budget so in order to set up we needed to confide on good friends to help us and unfortunately the only specific times to set up were between 2:00pm-4:00pm when our wedding ceremony was at 2:00pm so our friends had to miss our ceremony because the set up time frame was not flexible :(
Overall, my husband and I were very pleased and satisfied with our wedding becasue we had fun and our guests had an amazing time so we would HIGHLY recommend the DoubleTree in Claremont and we many thanks to John for making it a memorable day for us! :D -

The DoubleTree Hotel in Claremont was an excellent place to have our wedding. The outdoor courtyard was a great place to have the ceremony and the banquet room was right next to it. They had a variety of options based on budget and number of guests. The in-house catering was good. The Wedding Coordinator was very helpful. They charged extra for a dance floor and for a projector. The price did include a hotel room for the bride and groom. -
