We are so glad we chose the DoubleTree as our wedding reception venue. The modernization of the ballroom while keeping the classic style and the original chandeliers were a perfect setting for our traditional wedding style. While, the renovations to the hotel lobby, bar and rooms made for a welcoming and convenient experience for our guests. We worked with both Laurie, the sales coordinator and Desirae, the catering manager. They were both organized, thorough in answering our questions, fun to work with, and provided recommendations on the flow of the evening, but were also open to our ideas! Desirae coordinated with all of our vendors leading up to the big day to make sure everything went off without a hitch; and it did! Their chef, Matt, and the catering staff also deserve compliments. The food was outstanding during our tasting, and the high quality was maintained during our 200 person reception. Overall, our experience working with the DoubleTree and their staff was fantastic and I would highly recommend to anyone looking at wedding venues in northeast Ohio.

The only suggestion I would make to the venue is to consider updates to the wedding room block policy to allow for a larger initial quantity of rooms in the block to accommodate larger parties and those with a high volume out of out town guests, as well as more closely tracking how close to full the block is an notifying couples when the blocks are near full. By only allowing for 10 rooms to be blocked initially and not being aware of how full our block was, it caused more work for us and your staff to make frequent updates and did ultimately lead to some guests not receiving the group rate despite booking on a timely manner.

My husband and I had the most beautiful reception here at the DoubleTree! Absolutely beautiful and very affordable! The majority of our guest said that it was the best wedding reception they had ever been too! Highly recommend!

Wow where do we start!!!
First off, EVERY single person we came in contact with at the doubletree, weather it be a bartender, event planners, or front desk personnel, EVERYONE was so kind. Always willing to go above and beyond for you.
I have to first and foremost give a huge shoutout to the event staff. You were incredible….. especially Teresa, Lorel, Kendall, and Desirae. Thank you for making our wedding day one we will never forget and will cherish forever.
The food was DELICIOUS. All of our guests raved about the food and the service at the reception. All of the events of the night ran smooth. They accommodated all of my last minute requests with a smile and again, just went above and beyond.
If you are thinking of booking with the Doubletree Canton for your next event, especially wedding, you won’t regret it!!!! Do yourself a favor and book them!!!!

Desirae was an absolute godsend during our wedding planning process! She was incredibly kind, patient, flexible, responsive, and professional. She was attentive to detail and made sure the ballroom (which is already gorgeous, spacious, and clean at baseline) looked immaculate for our special day and things ran smoothly and in a timely manner! The rest of the staff was also polite and efficient! Food was amazing (and they were able to accommodate for our dietary restrictions which made it even better) as was our complimentary suite (which is part of the package)! We could not have been happier with our experience. Would 100% recommend this venue and Desirae for any special event.

Desirae was absolutely great to work with and made me entire day/wedding weekend run so smoothly!! She also worked great with our wedding coordinator we brought in as well! I can not recommend her enough along with the doubletree Hilton!

Our wedding at Doubletree by Hilton Canton Downtown was a dream come true. We had our ceremony and reception at Doubletree early March 2022 and our experience could not have been better. Desirae was hands-on and so helpful throughout the process. We really relied on her event/wedding planning expertise! She helped us plan the layout, gave other vendor recommendations, adjusted the menu, and gave input on pricing and extras. Every detail was thought out and confirmed multiple times and questions or follow ups were given in a timely manner. Day of everything came together from beginning to end, it went so smoothly.
The ballrooms and cocktail spaces are beautiful! Elegant and a great backdrop for any kind of decor or colors. Our hotel suite and getting ready rooms worked perfectly for prep and in between. The food was amazing! I’m a vegetarian and Desirae worked with the chef to create a delicious dish for the veggie eaters that wasn’t originally on the menu. Other allergies and special food requirements were easily accommodated. Our guests loved everything! We heard so many comments like, “best steak I ever had” and “the food was so good!” Desirae and her team are fantastic! We highly recommend the Doubletree for your wedding or event!

All hands were on deck during my wedding day and very little hiccups throughout the night. When there was one, it was resolved within minutes!
The new modern venue was picture perfect and everything I envisioned for my wedding day. Ms. Desirae listened to what I wanted and was an amazing day of coordinator!

We were so blessed to have held our small wedding reception here at the DoubleTree! Megan helped everything run SO smoothly on the day of the wedding. The ballroom is simply stunning, the hotel rooms themselves served as the perfect bridal suite, and the food was outstanding!! (It was honestly better than some of the high-end restaurants in Canton!) We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our mini reception! We highly recommend the DoubleTree!!

I am thoroughly pleased with working with Desirae and the DT staff for my wedding! Communication during the process was sometimes delayed but they were very flexible with what I wanted in our package. The price was outstanding. Desirae was very fun and easy to work with. Especially the day of, they remembered all of the minor details like a gluten free cake for my husband and my allergies. They had a plate of apps and drinks waiting for Us at the beginning of the reception. The food was DELICIOUS.

Everything went perfectly - I highly recommend!
