Bride stress? NONE! Dealing with last minute situations? NONE! Wedding planning headaches? NONE!
Dora made sure that all that me and my future husband had to do was to be present in the moment and enjoy our wedding. She puts her 1,000% on making sure that every detail is perfect. We had a destination wedding (grooms family came from UK) and it was a lot of logistic planning but she delivered. Thank you Dora!!! Our wedding day wouldn't have been that beautiful and perfect if it wasn't for you. -

-From the first email to the dance floor, Dora was there for everything. We have her in our wedding pictures because she was just such a lovely and integral part of our wedding who now feels like family.
-She knew every single vendor and worked fantastic with all of them. She was kind and reassuring, but always advocated for us and was ready to put her (tiny) foot down at any moment! Her assistant (and daughter, support family business!) ran the show the day of the wedding!
-Fairly priced, always responsive and communicative, organized, so kind, and patient. She is everything you need, especially if you are planning a destination from afar like we did.

We couldn’t have picked a better wedding planner. Dora was able to take our vision and turn it into so much more than we could’ve imagined. She had a lot to deal with given my husband and I knew more what we didn’t want than what we wanted. She was able to visualize the vague concept, use her amazing expertise and transform it into reality. Dora encouraged our need to be different and would suggest vendors based on those ideas. She was never pushy, though and gave us lots of options to explore. Not only did we love it, but ALL of our guests raved about the experience. We loved Dora and hope we get the chance to express our gratitude in person soon! -

If you are deciding between planners just book Dora
Planning a destination wedding is hard but Dora made the entire process very easy! Her calm presence during the day was so appreciated and she made us feel at ease the entire day. We had rain on the forecast at our outdoor venue and she knew to shift the ceremony 30 minutes earlier so we could still have it outdoors. Because of this we were able to have the ceremony of our dreams and have all our photos outdoors which was important to us! Thank you Dora you will always be such a special person to us! -

Dora was an amazing planner! My wedding would’ve not been the same without her. During the months coming up to the wedding, She was so responsive with every question we had and made sure everything was done how we wanted it even though we live in Connecticut. She made a timeline for the wedding and everything was perfect. At the wedding, she was so efficient and made sure everything was going smoothly. Before we contracted Dora my husband was on the fence to either get a planner or not. But as soon as he met Dora and saw her work at the rehearsal and wedding he was sooo happy we got Dora. Thank you Dora our wedding was perfect! -

Dora was an amazing coordinator and event planner! My husband and I live in Boston, but I grew up in Puerto Rico, and my dream was to marry in my hometown of Hatillo. We could not have done it without, Dora! She took care of every detail and made our day absolutely magical, even after we had to reschedule our wedding twice in the course of two years due to the pandemic. She thought through all the details and found us, vendors that met all our needs, including a catering service that accommodated our special request for having a mix of Puerto Rican and Indian food (my husband grew up in India). And on the day of the wedding, everything ran smoothly and without a worry, thanks to her. I could not recommend Dora enough. -

Dora was absolutely a pleasure to work with. I did the partial planning option, as I needed the most help the week of since it was a destination wedding. When looking for a planner, not only was I looking for someone who was organized, I also was looking for someone that was easy to get along with and responsive. I knew instantly she was the perfect fit. Dora handled everything for coordination with vendors and she would keep us on track with the timeline on wedding day. I knew I was in good hands and fully trusted her to coordinate everything and I was very impressed with how it all came together perfectly. We were able to enjoy the day, relax, and have fun! I truly adore Dora and appreciate all that she did to make our wedding day so enjoyable for us. I highly recommend her! -

We hired Dora as a day of coordinator when we realized we would need someone to be in charge of all the vendor logistics, ceremony schedule, and bus logistics from Condado to Hacienda Siesta Alegre (making sure all guests got on the bus and departed on the bus). Dora made sure the entire day ran smoothly - she contacted all the vendors the week of, was there for their arrival, made sure everything was on time, and knew most of the vendors personally which made a huge difference! If I could give one piece of advice to soon-to-be brides, it would be to hire a planner. You’ve done so much work…allow yourself the day to enjoy it…and Dora did exactly that for me and my family! -

I hired Dora as my wedding planner in August 2019 while planning for a Dec 2020 wedding. With pandemic and the date changes, Dora has always been on top of her work as a wedding planner and supportive of all of our decisions through these 2.5 years of planning. I am so happy that Dora was our wedding planning throughout this whole process. Every vendor she suggested was amazing. She was able to bring together a great team of vendors that executed our wedding day perfectly! I was SO relaxed and happy on the day of the wedding. She kept the day moving along and I did not worry about the timeline one bit. She was always up to date with all of the changing protocols in Puerto Rico and she was a source of calm during this stressful season of planning and changing dates during the pandemic. She communicated well via email, whats app and always had an answer and solution to all of my questions. THANK YOU DORA! We are so happy we were able to have the wedding of our dreams at Hacienda Siesta Alegre, despite all of the changes. Highly recommend Dora to start your wedding planning process in Puerto Rico!!! -

I can not thank Dora enough for her endless commitment to making our wedding day perfect. Planning a destination Wedding of 100 people during COVID was created slot of moments of uncertainty. Dora was always transparent and able to put my mind at ease. There is no way I would have been able to execute my wedding day and enjoy it had we not secured Dora as our planner. From start to finish she even ensured all items we needed were in our room at the end of the night. We are a rowdy group and Dora handled us with a firm patience we needed to ensure we covered our timeline. I’m still in awe of how she did all of that while still showing up looking beautifully professional. She is a huge asset to your next event. -

Writing this review took us a little while because there aren’t words to describe what a pleasure it was to work with Dora. When we had our initial consultation, Dora was patient and really listened to what we wanted for our big day. Our wedding was a destination wedding so we didn’t see our venue or meet any of our vendors in person. Dora quickly took note of our likes and dislikes and made helpful suggestions. We loved how she created a “dream team” for our wedding - everything went seamlessly and everyone worked perfectly together. Dora is kind hearted, professional and honest. She is detail oriented and does her job gracefully. We consider her family and wish we could get married again to work with her all over again! If you want to have the wedding of your dreams and work with someone that will not only make it happen but surpass all of your expectations, hire Dora Thillet. I don’t think we could have gotten through our ever changing wedding plans without the help and support of Dora. After having to cancel our 65 guest destination wedding in favor of an elopement, due to the challenges faced by traveling during the pandemic, Dora stepped in to shift things around so our elopement at our destination venue was well organized and beautiful. A+ Service (Destination Wedding) !!
I thought I could handle all the wedding planning but found myself getting overwhelmed and stressed after only a couple of weeks. I started looking around for a local planner in PR who could help me plan my own wedding. I found Dora via a wedding wire. She had a package of services that fit exactly what I needed. I ended up having fun during the planning time leading up to our big day and on the day of, our ceremony and reception were managed flawlessly. I think as brides we view a planner or coordinator as an "option" but I would say now after having been through the "bride experience" that a planner or coordinator is a "must have" if you want to really enjoy yourself.
Planning for a wedding can be stressful, especially during a pandemic; however, Dora made planning so easy. I would give Dora 10 stars if that were an option! We had great communication, good organization and a PERFECT wedding day. Dora was so calming and always so sweet when we talked on the phone, emailed, texted and met in person. She gave us lots of great advice along the way - mentioning things we had never even thought of. Our wedding was pretty large and a 100% destination wedding so on our wedding day, she had an assistant working with her who was also very helpful! They were both keeping us on time and making sure things ran smoothly. There are so many little things that have to be managed on the day of and I know I would have been working so hard at my wedding had it not been for our planner. Dora Thillet Events is 100% awesome! We recommend them highly, especially for destination weddings! -

My fiancé and I planned a destination to Puerto Rico for April 2021. Unfortunately, with COVID lingering over the country it didn't seem responsible to move forward with planning our wedding. Dora was beyond accommodating with us, and extremely professional about the entire situation. Before we cancelled, she was easy to speak with (even through a power outage in PR) very friendly, and listened carefully to our wants and needs. I would HIGHLY recommend Dora to anyone! -

On behalf of my Wife and I we wanted to thank Dora for an excellent job on our wedding. Working with Dora was a dream. We live 1500 miles apart, Dora lives in Puerto Rico and We live in New Jersey but that was never an issue because Dora maintain an open line of communication from day one. The months leading to the wedding we had numerous phone call conferences and numerous email conversations. Dora was always available whenever we needed her which sometimes can be difficult in a long distance partnership but Dora made it work. The day of the wedding was great couldn’t be happier with Dora and her team. I’m not gonna sit here and board you to death and tell you all the many great things Dora did for us. I’ll just leave it as simple as this. If you want consistency and a reliable wedding planner then Dora and her team is what you are looking for.

Dora is absolutely amazing. My husband and I decided on a destination wedding in Puerto Rico and we needed somebody we could trust and have our best interest when planning our wedding. Dora always let us share our vision with her and she made it completely come true. Her communication was excellent and she was always available for a phone call, text or FaceTime. On the day of the wedding she made sure out schedule was upheld and made sure everyone knew there role.

We chose her for a complete coordination for our wedding. She was always ahead of the things needed and attentive to our needs and budget. She helped us plan everything even when my now-husband was in NJ and I was in PR.
