We used Great Dane Bakery for our wedding cake and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We wanted a simple design and they did exactly that. The cake was delicious and all the guests were raving about it. And the bonus is they offer you a small cake made to order for your one year anniversary (no more year old freezer cake!)

I cannot express how delicious this cake was. It was a huge hit! Donna B’s was wonderful to work with. I gave them the most vague, pathetic description for the cake and they (somehow) turned it into a gorgeous cake that was exactly what I wanted. The staff is super easy to work with, very helpful, and very kind. I highly recommend them!

Wonderful bakery! We used them for our reception and could not be happier. The cake was gorgeous and tasted really amazing. The bakery was easy to work with, punctual and responded very quickly - all things a bride to be needs and appreciates!

While we didn't get to eat any of our cake at our actual wedding (except for a fork-ful during cake cutting), our tasting was fantastic! It was one of the easiest processes/decisions we made for our wedding. We chose a 3-tier cake, each tier a different flavor. We also chose buttercream frosting instead of fondant, and the design was exactly what we wanted. It was ivory color and very simple; absolutely beautiful. A great perk is that in 1 year for our anniversary, we can call the bakery and they will make us a small personal size cake (fresh!) for us to enjoy at that time. Great Dane was part of our package deal with our venue, and we are very pleased to have been able to go with them. We plan on using the bakery again for other personal events!

Donna B’s made our DELICIOUS wedding cake and dessert buffet for our wedding at Casa Romantica. We asked for a blue ombre buttercream two-tiered cake, sheet cake, and a dessert buffet with chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels, cookies, brownie bites, and cupcakes that our guests could not get enough of. They even made gluten free cookies for our guests with gluten-free diets. For our cake we chose a tier of fudge and chocolate mousse and one with Bavarian cream and raspberry filling, which was my favorite! They got back to my e-mails/calls very quickly and were very friendly and helpful during the whole process. We certainly will be back for more treats in the future. Thank you Donna B’s!

I have eaten baked goods from this bakery many times in my life. My wedding cake was from them (it was pre-selected from my venue) and it was amazing. We had a great and easy experience with them. A few months before the wedding we booked our tasting, tried yummy cakes and made an easy choice. We had no idea what we wanted our cake to look like and the person helping us gave us great ideas and it turned out awesome. I don’t know the price of our wedding cake since it was included in our all inclusive for our venue. However, it looked and tasted great. My mom also ordered a cake from them for my bridal shower that tasted great. I will continue to order from them for special occasions in the future.

Donna B's was one of the best parts about our wedding. They helped us create our dream cake, and worked with us during our 15 month engagement as our ideas changed. We also had a dessert bar catered from them which was AMAZING. There were so many amazing assortments, and everyone could find something they liked. Our venue wasn't willing to help us set up the dessert bar, so Donna B's staff stepped up and helped as much as they could. We gave them the trays that would be on the dessert bar, and they put the desserts onto the trays and into the boxes. Then all that had to be done was sliding the trays out and putting them on display. No hassle of placing each individual dessert onto the tray on the day of. This is a vendor I would definitely recommend for your big day!

The cake was beautiful for my son's wedding. They delivered it on time, set up the cake, and it was just perfect. It was decorated so beautifully guests did not believe it was real until they ate it and raved about the taste!

Unfortunately I cannot upload a photo of the cake produced by this marvelous bakery. The creativity of the decorations was amazing and much appreciated. The cake was delicious as was the lighter than air butter cream frosting in both white and chocolate. Our experience from start to delivered finish was perfect and delightful. I had several phone conversations before the wedding and never hung up the phone without a good laugh and a feeling of confidence. I very rarely make recommendations, but DonnaB's is an exception to that rule. Thank you for the loving care you took to make out work of art!

We opted for cupcakes and it ended up being a great value with Great Dane Bakery. I had no idea what flavors I wanted, but the consultation really helped me to figure out what would work for our event and outdoor location. The cupcakes were DELICIOUS and they looked good--everyone loved them!

Natalie was so helpful and the cupcakes were delicious. They designed the look we wanted, delivered the cupcakes and set them up for us. They were so pretty as our centerpieces. Highly recommend this bakery for all kinds of things!

5 Star review for Great Dane Bakery! I researched a LOT of bakeries around Los Angeles, and Great Dane was a rare find. Wedding cakes are SO outrageously priced. I wanted something simple so my florist could decorate with flowers. Most places were still going to charge around $700 for a buttercream 3 tiered cake that served 80 people! Great Dane has a nice tasting room for you to look at their books and try their samples. It's not super "froo froo" like a lot of LA Bakeries, but their prices and cakes are SO amazing. They were really flexible and since we live in Culver City, never had to come back to the bakery after our first visit for the tasting. We communicated by email, which is valuable for brides with little time who don't want to make a million phone calls. Even rented me a beautiful cake stand that cost the same as buying one would (no room to store something I'm going to use once!). Great Dane's cake was so fantastic, incredibly moist, some of the best cake I've ever had - certainly the best wedding cake I've ever had. AND they give you a little replica of your wedding cake on your 1 year anniversary, so you don't have to eat gross frozen cake. Amazing!!!!

I probably changed my cake design 5 times through the course of planning my wedding. Each and every time, the staff was friendly, kind, and professional. The cakes taste AWESOME. I am very picky with my buttercream frosting and Great Dane had the best frosting out of all my local choices. Their ART is fantastic, just tell them what you want and they will create it. Want a blue '65 mustang cake for the groom? Yep, they did it for me!

The Great Dane Bakery has the most beautiful wedding cakes that are the most delicious cakes you will ever eat! They custom made my wedding cake and it turned out perfect! They did an amazing job and I was (and still am!) so proud of my cake! My guests said it was the best cake they had ever eaten and I would have to agree! I had my wedding coordinator follow me with a slice of cake so if I finished one slice I would have another slice to follow! He never had to fill up my wine glass, but I did have a 2nd slice of my delectable wedding cake.

My cake was everything I dreamed of and MORE! It was beautiful! To be honest I really didn't care what it tasted like, I just wanted a beautiful cake for pictures... but was I suprised at how AMAZING it taste! My quests loved it! They even offer you an anniversary cake for your 1 year anniversary. So cute!

I found a cake online which was exactly what I wanted. While making a last minute visit to Orange County, we called Donna B's and they were able to see us the next day for a cake testing. The cake was amazing and they were able to do the exact cake I wanted! They were very accommodating and everything went very smoothly! I think one of the best parts is that they told us not to freeze the top tier of our cake because if we come back in a year, they will give us a free one!! Donna B was the best! We ordered chocolate cake with fudge, tiramisu and hazelnut filling (one of their specials). The cake is absolutely to die for (go taste it for yourself!). Not only does it taste out of this world, but the cake looked georgeous. I had a picture of a cake that was similar to what I wanted and Donna B spent a lot of time with me figuring out exactly what I wanted. It was absolutely spot on! Donna B is very responsive and takes pride in her work. I would highly, highly recommend Donna B.
