We had our wedding ceremony at Dogwood Canyon in Lampe, MO, and it was truly everything we hoped for and more. The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking — surrounded by nature, with pristine landscapes that make for unforgettable scenery and photos.
From start to finish, the venue was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities we needed.
One of the biggest highlights was the incredible staff. Everyone we interacted with was warm, professional, and helpful. A special shoutout to Tracy and her team, who went above and beyond — Tracy was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely kind throughout the entire planning process. Her guidance and calm presence made everything so much easier.
If you’re looking for a nature-inspired, well-run, and stunningly beautiful place to get married, I can’t recommend Dogwood Canyon enough. It’s a magical setting that you and your guests will remember forever. -

We had my daughter's wedding at the Hope Chapel in Dogwood Canyon. Liz is the wedding coordinator and I can assure you that she has it all under control. She was right there the whole time and made sure everything was perfect! What a great venue! -

Stunning! Highly recommend!
The venue was gorgeous! The food was mouthwatering delicious! Liz the wedding coordinator was an absolute delight to work with. She has a great personality and made the whole experience so much fun! Every time I felt like pulling my hair out, she made everything better. She was my saving grace during the whole process! They set up and tore down everything making it so easy for us. The views are amazing! Made for gorgeous pictures. -

A fairytale come true - bond vow renewal
I cannot express how amazingly perfect our Vow Renewal was, thanks to Deanna and the rest of the staff at Dogwood Canyon!! I was incredibly nervous at first booking a venue unseen and then making all arrangements from a thousand miles away, as I am not only a perfectionist, but a decorator also! Deanna handled every question from afar on the phone and calmed me down more times than I can count, reassuring me she had this! When it came to "The Day," she definitely had it to perfection! Though I was running late, my zipper on my dress was broken, she had nerves of steel and did not once get flustered; instead, she did everything to make sure the show would go on and it would be amazing! Driving into Dogwood Canyon on the Day, it was like driving into a fairy tail and then there is the Bridal suite, and the intimate Hope Chapel and the patio where the reception was. Our photograpers, Adam + Dawn told me I had won the lottery for being perfect...it was Easter, not a cloud in the sky, every dogwood and cherry blossom was at the peak of its bloom and it was 70 degrees with a slight wind. I truly felt like a princess on that day thanks to Deanna and the staff at Dogwood Canyon! The food was absolutely amazing, presentation was unbelievable! The value, you will not find anything remotely close to the value for the beauty and charm. My guests from all over the United States were truly blown away and are still talking about it to this day! Highly Recommended
My husband proposed to me at Dogwood Canyon while on vacation in Branson over the Thanksgiving holidays, so the venue meant a lot to us. We were so excited to be able to book the venue for our wedding day, and especially excited that it was actually affordable. We are from Louisiana, but I was able to plan the most magical destination wedding in under 4 months, and it's all because of DeAnna, the wedding coordinator at Dogwood. She is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I cannot say enough about how great she was throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding. I had absolutely no stress or worries on my wedding day because I knew I was in great hands. Our ceremony took place at the beautiful Wilderness Chapel. The reception was originally scheduled outside, but DeAnna was kind enough to move it to the restaurant when mother nature decided to send a flood. Even though it rained the entire day, our wedding was absolutely perfect. Dogwood Canyon is absolutely beautiful, no matter the weather, and they went above and beyond to make accommodations that helped the entire wedding party and our guests avoid the rain. We were even still able to take pictures in the park. The venue and park are so beautiful, decorations are very minimal. I didn't bring much more than a picture of the two of us and a guest book. Everything else was taken care of. I can't leave a review without mentioning how incredible the food was as well. We all (including myself) wanted seconds of everything. It was delicious. I would give Dogwood a 10 star rating if I could.. It is absolutely incredible and I will forever cherish our wedding day.Dogwood Canyon Nature Park's reply:

Every girl dreams of a fairytale wedding, well the Dogwood Canyon made mine even more than this. First off, dogwood canyon is breathtaking. I will add one of our wedding photos just for a glimpse of the beauty of the park. Despite being a full time student, mom, and full time nurse, Deanna our wedding coordinator At dogwood canyon made the wedding planning a smooth process. She didn’t miss any detail! The food was exquisite, each of the staff was always right there to assist throughout the wedding and were very accommodating to our needs. The price was very reasonable and not only included the use of the venue but also the food, the bar, the cake, the food, the wedding planner and so much more. A perfect, magical, beautiful place for a wedding
I don't think that I have enough words to describe just how perfect our wedding at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park was. We chose an elopement package, because our families and us live over 12 hours away and we didn't want to ask extended family to travel. It was just my husband and I, our parents, a grandparent, our brothers, their fiancees, and a groomsman. We eloped at the Hope Wilderness Chapel, then opted for the photo tour afterwards. We then ate lunch at the restaurant on site, and took a 2 hour tram ride through the canyon.
The entire experience was nothing short of magic. The chapel was absolutely gorgeous. Soft light from the lanterns that line the aisle and the chandeliers over head made our ceremony feel so intimate. We left the doors open so that you could hear the waterfall behind it during our ceremony. Fall was just starting, so the trees were still full, but just starting to change.
We adopted a puppy a few months before our wedding, but after we had booked it. We asked Dogwood if she could be in our ceremony and they said yes!! Having her there was so special for us and we were so grateful that they were so accomodating.
The photo tour after our ceremony was such a perfect touch. It gave my groom and I a chance to take a breath and have that "oh my gosh we just got married" moment, without any sense of rush or urgency. We took photos in several absolutely breathtaking spots, including under a waterfall and on a covered bridge.
Lunch at the restaurant was great as well. It allowed us to stay on property for the rest of our plans. They accomodated our group with ease, and were so friendly and attentive.
If you're thinking about eloping at Dogwood, I can't recommend adding the tram tour enough. It was such a surreal moment in our day, climbing on this open tram with all of our family. We watched trout race along next to us, saw bison and elk, and took even more incredible photos. My husband and I love the outdoors, so having this special trip be our first adventure as husband and wife, just hours after we said "I do," was absolute magic.
I could write a whole book about how perfect our entire day was! And it's funny, because it actually rained all day and was unseasonably cold, but looking back, I don't think about the weather. I think about how surreal everything felt, how beautiful Dogwood was, and how happy everyone was. Deanna, Dogwood's wedding guru, takes care of everything for you, so that there's no stress or worry on the big day. If you're on the fence about eloping, or about Dogwood as a venue, take it from me that you won't regret a single thing!!Dogwood Canyon Nature Park's reply:

Made a rainy weekend into something great
I never knew how great this experience would be until it arrived. The weekend called for rain and cold weather. The wedding team already had a plan in place and made everything come together. Jessica Sent on 03/17/2018I wish I could give more than 5 stars for flexibility!! On the weekend of our wedding, there was a lot of rain and the park had to close to the public. The staff however made sure that our event happened as planned and was just perfect. I know this took a lot of extra coordination and it was much appreciated! They were all very accommodating and professional. Our day was perfect. We even danced in the rain at the end! :)

Ashley Sent on 11/17/2017We were very lucky to have had our wedding at Dogwood Canyon. Deanna was so helpful and it made our planning stress-free. It was great to have a place that did their own catering, too. The food was delicious. It seemed pricy at first, but everything was buffet style and there was plenty of food for everyone. They even provided a minister. He was so nice and did a great job on our ceremony. (Especially considering we didn't even do a rehearsal.) The park is absolutely beautiful and is the perfect setting for a wedding. We would highly recommend Dogwood Canyon!

Nadia Sent on 07/30/2018We chose to hold our ceremony and reception at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park because we wanted something unique and natural and fun. Deanna and her team were so accommodating! Deanna was quick to answer emails and phone call questions as well as make suggestions. When, on the day of the outdoor ceremony, it looked like a big rain storm would hit us at the exact time of the vows, she suggested we move the ceremony into the chapel. We decided to chance it, and she was so nice about our decision to keep the ceremony outside on the patio (even though it could have meant a lot more work for her if it started raining). I am sure Deanna did even more than we were aware of, because everything went perfectly smoothly. Her personality is gentle and laid back, but she gets things done efficiently . She was sweet and happy to our families, and we even received a sweet framed photo of the venue as a gift. Would highly recommend Deanna and her team for all kinds of weddings.

Annie Sent on 07/19/2018Deanna was great from beginning her responses were soo punctual I heard within an hour it's been 6 months and some still haven't answered. She went to bat to make certain I got the wedding I'd been dreaming of. While we were their first j ewish style she readily accommodated our chuppah breaking of glass and after a waiver our dancing the horah during reception.

Sarah Sent on 04/24/2018My husband and I got married here a few weeks ago and it was absolutely perfect. The scenery is so fitting for an outdoor wedding. We had a private ceremony and then met family at the restaurant afterwards for a celebration lunch. Deanna was so on top of everything and thanks to her everything went smoothly and it was exactly what we were hoping for! I definitely reccomend dogwood canyon if you're looking for a beautiful outdoor wedding (though you always have the option to get married inside their chapel there as well)

Dogwood Canyon is AMAZING. Photos do NOT do this place justice - everything about it is amazing. We probably looked at 10-12 venue locations, and ultimately chose this one for the scenery & the personality of the wedding coordinator, JoAnna. We viewed the venue twice before our fall wedding, once in the winter, once in the spring and each time it was amazing. We had a fall wedding & the leaves were in the process of changing - seriously the most beautiful place I've ever been to. JoAnna was professional, informative, responsive, and SO sweet! She made our day go incredibly smooth & we could not have asked for better coordinator.
Some of our main concerns with choosing Dogwood Canyon, were that you HAVE to use their bartender and caterer, that they don't do any decorating, and have limited options for table linens & centerpieces. We brought in some of our own decorations and had our families set everything up while we were in the park taking pictures, but I don't even think we needed any of the extra decorations; the wedding & reception would have been beautiful without them! The food was truly AMAZING, and the bartender was so funny & made sure we were taken care of all night.
I guarantee if you choose this location, you not regret it for ONE second. -

First, I'd like to say that the staff that we worked with were good. There were just a few snags that we had hoped worked out better. We were one of the few that got to have a large ceremony and reception shortly after COVID-19. We had quite a few cancellations last minute. We were unable to get the money back. When we asked if we would be able to get the excess food in to go containers they said they would find out and never got back to us about it. So the day of we told several guests that we knew were interested in getting a second helping to get more. We were suppose to have a buffet style but due to COVID we ended up having a plated dinner. The staff said to multiple guests that they would see what they could do about a second serving and they never returned to our guest with an answer. Now we originally had 100 people to invite and with my husband and my self we were cut down to 82 after all the RSVP's came back. The day of we barely had 50 guests so we lost out on quite a bit of money by paying for people that ended up not coming and not getting the money back from the venue for the difference. There was plenty of food ordered and plenty of food that we could have fed our guest or brought home as extras. No answer was ever worked out. Besides the food issue we had mostly a good experience. The only thing I did find to be a little bit of an issue is you need to make sure to not want a big wedding if you decide to choose the location at the Canyon Grill patio. We paid extra for more time because we had to wait for the restaurant to close before we could have our ceremony. We were allowed to start the setup at 5pm, Ceremony at 6pm, 30 minute carriage ride at 6:30pm, and 1 hour in the park right after that so we were gone away from guests for an hour and a half. We had a cocktail hour and hors d'oeveures while we were gone. After everything was fast paced and quick. They also shut our cash bar down early at 9:30 instead of 10 or 10:30pm. We then had to have all of us and our stuff and guests out and gone by 11pm. This sounds that I was very unhappy but the food issue was just a big fight the whole time during our wedding planning. We signed a contract 2 years in advance and had multiple different coordinators. The service we received really was good for the situation. -

On May 10, 2025, Dogwood Canyon shut down our wedding reception over an hour early, despite a signed contract and full payment. It took them nearly 45 minutes to get the bar reopened and the lights turned back down. After we protested, they verbally agreed to extend the event until midnight - then later claimed that agreement was a “joke.” The venue abruptly shut down our reception not once, but twice.
We spent over $20K on the venue alone - not to mention decor, vendors, and flying in guests from across the country. The night was completely derailed. No cake cutting. No final dance. No send-off.
Venue’s own words: they called the agreed midnight extension a “joke.” This was after they shut us down twice and ruined our wedding.
If that wasn’t bad enough, they threatened to call the sheriff on me (the bride) and weaponized the very security we paid for to escort me out the door.
Their idea of “making it right”? Offering a refund only if we waived all legal claims. We refused, and they immediately changed their story.
They’ve since submitted three different timelines to us, our credit card company, and the Attorney General; changing their story again and again. Absolutely unprofessional and dishonest.
If you’re considering this venue, ask yourself what you’ll do if they ruin your once-in-a-lifetime event - and then laugh about it afterward.
