Diana was amazing to work with. As someone who is gluten-free, I knew it would be difficult to find desserts that would feel special for me while still delighting our mostly non-GF guests. Diana delivered the perfect balance. Our gluten-free cake had the most amazing guava filling, and the cupcakes and traditional PR desserts she created were a huge hit. Guests are still talking about her amaretto cupcakes. She made the entire process easy, flexible, and joyful. We’re so grateful for her talent and highly recommend her.

I hired D’Lights for our wedding cake and desserts for my San Juan wedding and they were great! They were delivered to my venue on time and very reasonably priced. There were plenty of mini dessert options to choose from, including traditional Puerto Rican desserts that my guests loved. They also looked so cute on the dessert table. I normally don’t even like cake and the guava buttercream cake we ordered for our wedding was incredible. Highly recommend! -

Diana was responsive right away! She is very kind and passionate about making your cake look how you want. We wanted an elegant cake with a caribbean taste and that's exactly what she delivered! She offers cake tastings as well, which was super helpful and fun to do! She did a great job on incorporating our dogs in our cake as if they took a bite out! It was perfect and exactly what we wanted! We chose guava and coconut for our flavors and it was such a big hit for our guests! Everyone said it was the best wedding cake they had!

1000% recommend working with Diana and her team. Diana worked with us to come up with solutions as I didn’t want a huge wedding cake; we wanted a dessert table instead. She helped us bring that vision to life! The small cake we had was also gluten free as I am gluten free and it was delicious!!!! Diana is super responsive and so flexible. The desserts we had were also delicious. Already hoping to renew our vows in 25 years and get those delicious guava cupcakes. Work with Diana, you won’t regret it! -

Couldn't have had a better cake or experience!
From start to finish Diana, the face of D'lights Cakes and Desserts was a pleasure to work with. We met with Diana many months before our wedding and had the opportunity to sample multiple cake flavors- they were all good! We really struggled with which to pick but settled on the traditional cake flavor of Puerto Rico- Amaretto. Working with Diana was smooth and she was always responsive. The day of the wedding we received so many positive comments about the array of mini desserts we ordered for our wedding since we didn't serve guests wedding cake. When my husband and I tried our wedding cake we were in love. We loved the cake so much we are convinced that it was the best thing we ate on our wedding night.

Our wedding cake was not only beautiful but also very delicious.
We were very happy when we saw the cake as it was what we envisioned it to be. Diana was also very responsive to all our email inquiries.
We initially picked a wedding cake flavor, but when we had our tasting, she still brought other flavor samples for us to try. This was truly helpful for us that she gave us options to choose what flavor suits our taste. We highly recommend D’Lights Cakes. Thank you! -

Everything went very smoothly. We live in Texas and did our wedding in Texas. Everything was done via e-mail, phone/text. It was simple and to the point.
We actually never met face to face, but everything was done to a T!
D’Lights cake was actually on a vendor list through the hotel we stayed at!
I did not realize the testy wasn’t going to be air conditioned or I would have used fondant vs butter cream! My fault!

Exceed my expectations

We used Diana and D’Light cakes for our wedding at Hotel el Convento and couldn’t recommend more!! We had originally planned to have around 75 guests, but ended up only having 50 and we were only left with 4 cupcakes to ourselves because everyone enjoyed them so much! We had cupcakes (guava and amaretto) and a single tier cake (coconut). I’m not sure which was my favorite because they were all so delicious. Moist and sweet without being overpowering. Multiple guests said they were the best cupcakes they’ve had. Diana was very responsive and offered great suggestions about which flavors would be best, and was a great value for the service provided. -

Beautiful and delicious
We met Diana in May; Both my husband and I were immediately impressed with her professionalism and most importantly her delicious cakes. After sampling several flavors, we finally decided to go with the traditional Puerto Rican flavor of amaretto cake. Our wedding cake was not only beautiful to look at, it was also out of this world moist and delicious! Everyone commented on how delicious the cake and dessert all tasted. You will not regret hiring D’lights. I had a wonderful experience, from the beginning she was very responsive and answered all of my questions. This was also very important to me since this was a destination wedding. -

Our cake was lovely and, more importantly, delicious! We didn't have to worry about our cake on the day of the event. Our cake was delivered on time. It was absolutely stunning. The cake was moist and flavorful, but not overly sweet. It was perfect! We even had a dessert bar, but we didn't get to try it. However, everyone enjoyed it and said it was delicious. -

We had the pleasure of meeting Diana prior to hiring her for our destination wedding. Diana was super friendly and helpful. You could tell baking cakes is her passion. We tried a few different cake flavors and loved the rum guava. Rum guava was unexpectedly delicious, moist, not too sweet or overpowering. She also accommodated our request for a little fondant cat to add to the cake décor since we were not able to bring our fur baby to our wedding. The cake the day of the wedding was just as delicious as it was the day of the tasting! Décor was spot on; it looked amazing. Our guests also enjoyed the cake as much as we did. Diana’s cakes are a must for your special event! -

My husband and I couldn’t fit in a cake tasting before the wedding, we had to really rely on the reviews D’lights had. I can honestly say a cake tasting was not required, As promised Diana delivered what the reviews had to say about her amazing cakes. We had a coconut tier, guava , and amaretto. We served a slice each to our guests. The cake served 55 people total. The frosting was lightly sweetened and I would say diabetic friendly . She had rented her gold cake stand as well with the fee. Make sure to read your contract! Cake topper was bought at Ross and my event coordinator “Events by us” decorated it. This was the best cake ever!! I’m still mesmerized by it 4 days post wedding. Diana and her team did such an incredible job with out cake. From first getting in contact to seeing our cake at the wedding, it was a breeze working with Diana. She was incredibly flexible and met at my grandfather's house for the cake tasting, and brought plenty of samples to try. We decided a few weeks before the wedding to not only change the design of the cake, but to add another tier and Diana was more than happy to. She took my vision of two different style cakes and made it a reality. Not to mention it tasted AMAZING! We did pistachio and guava. Ultimately I would hire Diana all over again and definitely recommend her to anyone. -

The cake was delivered as expected and looked beautiful. My guests really appreciated the taste profile and the extra coconut filling that was a surprise. Diana, is very good at what she does. Diana is a gift to brides!
I don’t know where to begin with diana. She was excellent at communication which was really important to me. She delivered the cake to the venue on time. This was a destination wedding and Diana was flexible and willing to meet with my husband and me when we visited PR so that we could do a cake tasting. We chose layers of guava and amaretto— two flavors we never would have chosen if not for the tasting. They were AMAZING. Diana was quoted 100 guests but I definitely ended up with enough cake to feed 150. My husband and I ate the rest for breakfast the next few days after the wedding and it still tasted great. -

Excellent and Delicious!
Working with Diana was such a treat - always responsive and cordial! We met up with her at La Concha for a tasting of four different flavors and all of them were delicious! We ended up choosing the coconut/guava and vanilla/vanilla for our wedding cake. We also ordered a bunch of different Puerto Rican desserts for our guests for our dessert bar. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the cake and all the desserts. One of the other thing that really drove me to Diana was her story. She left corporate America to pursue her passion in baking. Found her in Wedding Wire plus was recommended from wedding planner and other people. Since we were planning from afar, was unable to do tasting. I wanted something pretty specific (half the design was for me, other half for the groom with a Sat Wars theme) and she delivered with a Home Run! Responsive Vendor... Delicious Cake!
Diana is a very professional and super responsive person. I sent a price request to her and other vendors at the same time, she was the first to respond to my email with cake proposal in less than 24 hours. I was looking for responsive vendors since I was planning my wedding in less than three months. I read her reviews, and I decided to go with her. On the wedding day, she delivered the cake with plenty time. My florist left flowers for her to decor the cake, I wanted the cake flowers to match my decor. I was very happy when I saw my wedding cake. It was exactly the way I wanted....and the taste.... WOW... It was the best wedding cake I have ever had. We had a 3 tier cake with 2 tier being amaretto and one guava. Both flavors were delicious, but the guava flavor was everyone's favorite. The cake was moist with an amazing buttercream icing. All my guest commented on how delicious the cake was, even asking for more pieces. My mother liked it so much that she asked me to order a guava tier for her next birthday (She lives in Puerto Rico). Diana, thank you so much for your service. It won't be the last time that I order a cake!

Diana is a beautiful person. We had decided to have a 1 tier for us and cupcakes for our wedding for the guests. We had our tasting in La Concha and San Juan which is a beautiful location. Her cupcakes are amazing! The amaretto was my favorite and her coconut gauva is to die for. She does beautiful, meticulous work and my cupcakes and cake were delicious. My guests kept telling me how amazing our cake table was, she truly exceeded herself and her creative nature made this wedding tradition magical. -

It was beautiful and it tasted delicious. All my guest and Resort staff were raving as to the uniqueness of the cake and how good it tasted. Thank you Diana for making my dream cake. Monica Sent on 08/25/2018Diana was fantastic! I had my destination wedding on August 4th 2018. I was not able to do a cake tasting, but I reached out to Diana if she was able to have my mom try her cakes since my mother was going to be in San Juan a few months before. Then hurricane Maria hit witch ended up rescheduling my mom trip. when I explained this she did not hesitate to rescedule the cake tasting. She went out of her way to drop it off at the hotel for mother to try it. It was so selfless and patient that I would have ordered her cake for that alone. My wedding was so minuscule to what everyone in the island was going through that I could not believe how sweet and accommodating Diana was. I ordered the Amaretto(PR) cake with frosting. It was delicious! Better than I hoped. I picked it because that was what my mom thought tasted the best and most reviews talked about it. So glad I did. everyone spoke about it and my dad stole my sister piece for seconds. I had extra so I gave her another piece. It looked absolutely beautiful. I sent pictures and she executed it perfectly!

Lakia Sent on 06/21/2018I'm not sure where to begin! I reached out to Diane right before Maria for our wedding cake for a destination wedding at the Oceano. Diane was very responsive and willing to answer any questions. I sent her a picture of our dream cake and she took care of the rest!
Our cake was delivered to our venue which was one less thing we had to worry about on our big day. The guest were ranting and raving about how delicious it was all night. We couldn't be happier with her professionalism and quality of work. Our cake was an exactly replica of the picture I sent. Thanks! You made our day -

Jannette Sent on 05/19/2018Our cake was beautiful and deliscious!!!! Diana was wonderful to work with from the moment I contacted her. We had a 3 tier wedding cake and a dessert bar! My cake was a traditional Puerto Rican amaretto cake, chosen by the groom during our cake tasting! (All her flavors were deliscious!!) my guest loved both the cake and dessert bar! I’m looking forward to hopefully being able to travel back to PR in a year and ordering another one for our 1st Anniversary! Thank you Diana!!

Ariane Sent on 04/12/2018I am so happy we hired D'Lights Cakes for our beautiful wedding on 3/24/18! Working with Diana was truly a pleasure. We decided to get a traditional Amaretto flavored wedding cake and OH MY GOSH was it good. Honestly, who ever eats the cake at a wedding? Usually everyone is too drunk or full or distracted to care about the cake. NOT TRUE for this one! Looking around the venue after the wedding all you saw was cake plates scraped clean! Everyone kept commenting how deliciously moist and flavorful the cake was. Diana was nice enough to also provide a chocolate cupcake for my mother-in-law who is allergic to nuts, at no cost. She is also super responsive and came at a great price! Would highly recommend.

Through out the process she was responsive and flexible with the few changes we made. Our cake was beautiful and delicious. She decorated it exactly how I envisioned it and with the Pinterest pictures I had sent her. The cake was two tiers, coconut cake with pineapple filling and vanilla cake with strawberry filling. Everyone raved how good it tasted. You won't go wrong choosing Diana as your baker!
