Lance with Deep South Events was amazing at our wedding! I had some nontraditional song selections for the ceremony, and Lance executed the ceremony flawlessly. For our cocktail and dinner music, I just gave him a few song suggestions and the overall theme we wanted (60s and 70s "easy listening") and he knew exactly the mood we were looking for. We have received so many compliments on the music, already. Later in the night, Lance kept us all dancing until the very end. He was kind, courteous, and professional. I have a unique name and Lance was very careful to make sure he pronounced it correctly...He was even nice enough to take a picture for me--talk about going above and beyond! I am so happy with our choice to go with Deep South Events, and especially Lance Johnson. Deep South Events is the DJ service you should choose if you are looking for a totally-stress free element in your wedding planning. I highly recommend them!

I am so happy with the choice that my fiancé (now husband) made with the DJ. The one thing I tasked him doing, was to find a DJ that wasn’t just gonna show up and play music off his Ipod. Lance truly showcased his expertise in being a Wedding DJ. We discussed the music that he tends to play at weddings but he explained that all that could change 8 months from now. So I decided to not even make a long list of songs. I supplied my favorites from growing up and allowed guest to make requests. All I can say is that the party never stopped until the venue had to close! Thanks so much to Lance of Deep South Events. All receptions should be as fun as ours, and I know you’ll make more couples just as happy as you’ve made us.

P.S. The Photo Booth was phenomenal. We love our scrapbook!

The coordinator for our event Lance, was very professional and nice to work with. The DJ that worked our event was John and he was a class act. He did a fantastic job keeping the crowd entertained during our party, We were every happy with the evening and we will be contacting Deep South Events the next time we visit Atlanta.

Lance at Deep South DJs was the best. I can't believe that we weren't going to have a DJ at first. He was so good at helping us plan and working with the Banquet Hall. I'd refer him to anyone I know.

Deep South Events is an awesome DJ Service. Working with Harrison & Lance was a blast. Lance was the DJ for our Wedding and we truly believe Harrison picked the right guy for the job. We wanted a non-cheesy, youthful DJ, but he also had to appeal to our older family members. Lance was just what we needed. Our guest complimented us on our entertainment all night long. There was no way for us to end at our scheduled time. We had to keep the party going. Lance stayed 2 hours after his contracted time. Thanks to the both of you. We will never forget how you two helped make our wedding a success!

We absolutely wanted a Jamming DJ for our wedding. We needed someone who would play a silly song during the recessional. We needed someone who would make announcements as if we were in Madison Square Gardens. We needed Lance. I’m so happy that we got him. I’m sure that any one of Deep South Events’ DJs would’ve gotten the job done. We booked Lance and we can certainly vouch that he’s one of the best doing it!

Lance was the DJ for our wedding. We were so pleased that he was available!!! He arrived early and both the ceremony & reception services went on without a hitch. He’s very professional and he managed our timeline just as we had hoped. What really set him apart from other DJs that I had seen before was his style. His song selection & timing was perfect. And the way he changed from song to song didn’t allow for anyone to even take a break from dancing…lol! He’s a true professional & AWESOME entertainer, that’s why he’s already been booked again for my sister’s wedding! Thanks Lance : )

Harrison was so much more than a DJ, from handing us water bottles when we looked parched, to wrangling all my guests to the right places at the right times, I felt like I had my own personal assistant all evening! He was great at anticipating our needs and was very accommodating to all our requests. I would highly recommend him for any event!

Harrison was great! He was on top of my wedding timeline and very responsive throughout the planning. I left the most of the music selection to him and was very pleased with his selections. I would absolutely recommend Harrison for your wedding!

One word-FANTASTIC! Deep South Events helped make my wedding everything my fiancé and I had imagined for our special day! Harrison had a great way of reading the crowd and his timing was impeccable. We had a very mixed crowd (little kids all the way to 93 year old grandparents) and they all raved about how great everything was. If you are looking for a really talented DJ for your event give them a call. I could not have been more impressed.

Harrison at Deep South Events was fantastic at my wedding! He not only was a fabulous DJ and Emcee, but he also brought drinks to myself, my husband, my parents, and my husband's parents while we were all taking pictures. He helped to keep the entire reception on time and played all the music we asked for. Harrison was fantastic and he comes highly recommended!

Harrison at Deep South Events made my daughter's wedding reception an unforgettable beautiful memory which we will always treasure. I wasn't sure if our guests would participate on the dance floor since it was an afternoon wedding. However, our guests from age 2 years to 72 years all enjoyed the dance floor.
Harrison promptly responded to all of my emails during the weeks prior to the wedding. He met with my daughter and her fiancé. He never circumvented me or kept me out of the loop throughout the planning. I am very appreciative of this!
He arrived two hours before the wedding even began on the day of wedding. He was very professional and worked with our wedding director. I had complete trust that he make our day special and my expectations were exceeded.
Harrison was able to 'read the crowd' and play all the right songs. He seemed to enjoy it and was into the celebration as if he were one of the groomsmen or a friend to the groom. So very pleased!

Harrison with Deep South Events was absolutely awesome!! Very responsive and easy to work with. He went above and beyond to meet with us at our venue to work through logistics before our event to make sure everything was smooth the day of. And it was!! He did an amazing job and everyone had a great time! I would recommend him to anyone!

To say Harrison was awesome doesn't even give him enough credit. Harrison was very professional on the phone and was quick to respond to our email inquiry. He actually listened to what our needs/wants were for the wedding and then also gave us an idea of what a good timeline might be for our event after hearing our input. We definitely made the right one choosing Deep South Events! The interactive website where we chose our music was easy to use and he made sure to stick to our list only for the wedding which was great! If someone wanted to hear a song my husband or I would have to approve.

Fast forward to the day of the wedding, when we first walked into the room about an hour before go time, the grooms cake was missing...Harrison stepped right in, even though this was definitely not on his job description, and got us an update on the cake. Also, got our drinks of choice were and brought us drinks throughout the night. As for the timeline, he followed it perfectly letting us know if anything was running behind. Having that communication throughout our wedding kept me at east knowing he was on it and I didn't have to worry about anything.

Trust me, you will not regret this decision and will have an amazing event with Deep South Events! I wish I could have another party just so we could use them!

Harrison at Deep South Events did an excellent job as our wedding DJ. He also provided audio and music for for the outdoor wedding, outdoor cocktail hour and reception. The speakers and volume during the events were perfect. He helped keep the reception time time on track without being intrusive and was accommodating to changes. He was able to get the feel of the room and played appropriate music at appropriate times. He was early to the event, helping to keep stress to a minimum on the wedding day. His song selection library is extensive and if there is a particular song you desire, he will get it for you. Harrison also has a great radio voice and was a pleasure to work with.

Harrison Griffis of Deep South Events was our DJ for our wedding last year. I had the opportunity to go online and submit requests and create a do not play list; he then contacted me by phone a week prior to the wedding and went over the list with me. Of course there were some last minute details to communicate but he worked so seamlessly with our other vendors that everything was taken care of. We were able to communicate during the reception by a nod of the head and he approached me with the unfortunate requests made by family members. He was incredibly professional, responsive to our requests, and kept everything consistent with our style. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

Harrison was great. We were going 100 mph and didn't have much time to plan out songs so we really just trusted that if our venue recommended him that we would trust him too. And he killed it. Harrison was so great! I had gotten a great recommendation to use him for our wedding, and he did not disappoint! He did a great job of keeping the reception flowing without talking too much or cracking corny jokes like other DJs at weddings I've been to. He was very flexible in allowing us to pick songs we wanted. He was also great at picking songs when we gave him a genre (for example, playing great jazz songs while we took pictures). The entire night, our wedding floor was packed. And that's not an exaggeration. People absolutely loved all the songs he played, and they just couldn't leave the dance floor! All of this, and he was still super affordable. Great guy. Great DJ. He really helped make our reception a success.

Harrison was an amazing wedding dj! We received so many compliments on how great the music selection was throughout our special day. He really listened to our ideas and helped turn them into a reality. He played the best relaxing music during dinner and then kept everyone on the dance floor during the night! Harrison was an awesome D.J.!! As a matter of fact, I just gave his name and number to someone who asked for it yesterday. I cannot say enough about Harrison and the wonderful job he did at our wedding! We gave him a few ideas of the things we liked and he did the rest! It was absolutely perfectly our style and our guests had a blast and couldn't get enough of the dance floor. He knew exactly which songs to play to keep the party going! Harrison did a wonderful job at our wedding! He kept everyone informed and entertained. He was very easy to work with and very patient when I changed a few things last minute. Our company needed a DJ for a charity event that we were sponsoring. I found this company online, sent them a request and got an immediate call from one of their DJ's. Harrison was very professional and talented. It was a pleasure having him at our event and we would definitely recommend him and their company again. IN fact, we are trying to book them for a Halloween party!

Harrison is extremely professional. Even though our party was for 20+ eight year-old girls, he handled it perfectly!
There was never a dull moment: he had the kids dancing, limbo-ing, racing, and playing other fun games for 2.5 hours. They had a blast.
In the weeks before the party, Harrison was conscientious about contacting us with details and even provided us with a way to choose our playlist ahead of time. He is also very careful about the age-appropriateness of the songs.
Great guy, great music, great fun!

I know a perfect score sounds too good to be true, but Harrison was an amazing DJ and I am so glad I chose him for my wedding! He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and lots of fun!

I had always thought I would want a band for my wedding , but when the cost came down to it, it wasn't a possibility. We ended up booking Harrison to be our wedding DJ and it was one of the best decisions we made! Harrison is very flexible, has a great system in place to ensure the songs you want get played, and knows the dynamics of a wedding inside and out. From early in the evening he had everyone on the dance floor. We had to be pulled off the dance floor at the end of the night, we were all having so much fun! He understood how to appeal to all ages and musical tastes at our wedding and we still get compliments on the music today! I would highly recommend Harrison for your DJ needs based on his talent, professionalism, flexibility and overall great taste in music!

Harrison was wonderful to work with, remarkably friendly and extremely professional. Several of my friends are DJs and I wanted them to enjoy the wedding and not have to work it. All of them were very impressed with the service he provided.
