Helped make our wedding great!
Dj Jon was great! Jon was able to take calls with us and answer any questions during the planning process which made us feel secure and not at all stressed about the music situation. He made sure the songs we requested were always played at the perfect times and kept our dance floor going throughout the night. We did a bit of a chaotic musical chairs scavenger hunt and he helped make sure that it ran smoothly without confusion. If you’re looking for a DJ for your wedding in Reno or Tahoe we’d definitely recommend!

Fantastic Wedding DJ!
DJ Jon was absolutely fantastic from start to finish at our wedding in Reno. He handled the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception seamlessly, with a great mix of music that kept the dance floor full all night. He was incredibly responsive whenever we had questions and gave very clear instructions for choosing our wedding music, which made planning so much easier. On the day of, he was attentive to what we wanted and even checked in several times to make sure everything was just right. He Brought the Beat to Our Masquerade Retreat!
We hired Jon for our masquerade ball-themed staff retreat in Reno, and he absolutely crushed it! From the moment the music started, he brought an amazing energy that kept the vibe fun, lively, and exactly what we were hoping for. He had everyone on the dance floor—no small feat with a mixed-age crowd—and kept the momentum going all night with a perfect mix of tracks.

2024 Company Holiday Party

DJ Jon Alder is the BEST DJ in RENO!!! We met him a couple years ago when he DJ’d a friend’s 50th birthday party and had the whole house ROCKING! I have been wanting to use him since then and finally had the chance this weekend for my daughter’s sweet 16 dance party at our house. I contacted him on short notice and he was SO responsive and professional from the get go. His price is very reasonable, he is incredibly helpful (even told me who to call for the best dancefloor rental) and really takes an interest in the event you are planning. Every time I texted him, he got back to me right away with answers and made my life easier. He sent us a document before the event so she and her friends could pick the music they wanted and it gave him a great idea of what they would like. On the night of the event, he showed up exactly on time (2 hours early) to set up and make sure he was ready to roll before the party started. He is calm, lovely and so fun. He even brought my daughter a special hat to wear from Burning Man! This guy’s vibe is so chill and amazing you will love him. When the party started, the kids of course were slow to get dancing but he knew EXACTLY what they needed to get the party started. They all thought he was amazingly cool and loved everything he played. He offers DJ lessons and I know some of the kids were interested in that! He kept the party going for 3 straight hours without missing a beat and never let them down. At the end of the party, he packed up his AMAZING equipment and left the space immaculate. You will NOT be disappointed if you use DJ Jon—the DJ is the MOST important part of your party and this guy DELIVERS!!! We will use him again and again!

If you are looking for a DJ in Reno, I highly recommend DJ john alder! He did such amazing job making our wedding night perfect! He has such a great system for getting everything organized and making sure he provides exactly what you want. His organizational sheets actually helped me better plan the wedding! Most fun with a DJ!
DJ Jon was the DJ for my best friend’s wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with the selection of music. He chose a great selection of music for our event with some great 90s and 2000s throwbacks. He even mixed in some music tastes from our wedding party based on the atmosphere of the dance floor. Jon's attention to detail and feel for the whole atmosphere was able to completely make Prom one of the best ones this school has seen in a while. He was able to make sure everyone was having fun and even joined in sometimes! It was definitely a moment to remember and the memories that I have from that night will always stick with me thanks to Jon. His friendliness and ability to interact were unmatched beyond anything I've seen. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Mike provided great music variation that everyone enjoyed. He followed the list of recommendations for many different age groups. He did a wonderful job! This was our annual fundraiser event for our nonprofit wildlife rescue organization. I was out in Reno Nevada filming a wedding for some good friends of mine and Jon was the DJ they hired. Up until that wedding all the DJs I've come across have been sub par or okay at best. But NOW let me tell you Jon really made it an event to remember! He made the whole dance floor a vibe and everybody was SHMOOVIN and I was able to capture awesome and memorable footage for the wedding!! He event went out of his way to dance with everyone else and lead the group! I definitley recommend Jon to anyone thats planning an event that they wanna have a good time at. Amazing, 10/10 Experience with DJ Jon!
Jon went above and beyond our expectations as our wedding DJ. He promptly answered our questions, even if they were in our contract! He made sure that our wedding was perfectly tailored to me and my husband. He played all the songs we wanted to hear and said no to the requests made by our guests that were on our do not play list. Everything that needed specific timing, was timed perfectly song wise. He made our day perfect with the music played during our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. It was fun to get to talk to him throughout our wedding, he talked to my parents and my parents loved him! He even gave us some of the most delicious chocolate during dinner! He kept the dancing going all night long. Top notch service, We would recommend DJ Jon to anyone getting married in the Reno/Tahoe area!

We used Jon for our wedding and he was really great to work with. Neither me nor my wife are huge music people, so he put together a great mix of our requests plus other similar music to fill out the party. Amazing Reno DJ (Jon Alder) Wedding DJ
Jon Alder was the perfect fit as Jeffrey and I's wedding DJ! He is probably the most laid back person I have ever met, but is still very on it, responsive, and organized. Jon even went out of his way to get to know us before the big event by inviting us out to a comedy show before the big day. This made things a bit more personal instead of a brief interaction the day of and money exchange via Venmo. Continually, Jon is very organized and had an easy shared google doc for me to put all of our song requests in. He is very responsive and will get back to you right away if you have any questions about any part of the process. Jon went above and beyond as our wedding DJ. He even asked us directly how he could go above and beyond the day of. I asked him to help set up decorations. He did this gladly and did a very fine job of it! If you want a Reno DJ who has a laid back chill vibe that is still on top of his game you found your guy. Five out of Five stars for this Reno DJ!!!

If you are looking for a DJ in Reno, look no further. Jon absolutely exceeded expectations at our wedding!!! From the very start, in the planning stages, Jon was extremely professional and outlined everything simply and relatable for us to understand. He even asked if there was anything extra (above and beyond) that he could do for us which was an awesome perk! Thru the whole process he showed authentic compassion for DJing and truly wanted to make our day the best it could be. The day of the wedding he showed up promptly when he said he would, came with everything he needed and even helped out our coordinator with other odds and ends which was extremely appreciated by all!! Lastly, and most importantly, his DJing complimented our wedding perfectly! From the introduction of the wedding party, to warming up the crowd, to seamlessly blending music together, we couldn’t imagine a better DJ. Beside how gorgeous the bride looked, the next most complimented aspect of our wedding was the DJ!!! One of my favorite memories was when he came out from behind the DJ booth towards the end of the night and joined in on the dancing! Everybody loved it! An amazing and captivating DJ!
I am so excited to write this review for Jon! I am a wedding photographer in the Reno/Tahoe area and we both worked a couple weddings together through the entire COVID thing that happened. Best DJ in Reno
I would recommend Reno DJ Jon Alder for anyone’s wedding or event. I first heard him DJ at a friend’s wedding and hired him shortly afterward. Not only does Jon keep people dancing all night, he knows just when to slow things down and pick them back up. He also met with us as soon as we hired him to make sure that we have everything we could want for our wedding. He’s there to help every step of the way and makes the process easy!

Seriously, Go With Jon
I can't imagine that DJ's get any better than Jon. I knew I liked him the second I met him, and as a bride who didn't know the first thing about planning a wedding, Jon made the process so simple and fun, and he helped every step of the way when selecting the right music. He asked all the right questions so that our day was perfectly tailored to us. I even had a very drastic, very last minute change to one of the songs for mine and my husband's first dance, and what should have felt like a stressful moment, Jon helped put me at ease and put everything together flawlessly and made me feel like we had all the time in the world to make those last minute changes. I can't even put into words how incredible it was to work with Jon and have him help create such a perfect, memorable night for us. That alone is priceless. If you're looking for an amazing DJ in the Reno area, your search is over. Go with Jon.

He is your guy!
First and foremost, Jon was an excellent DJ. He worked with us to create the perfect night. But equally important, his professionalism and communication skills made it really easy to work with him. He is flexible and accommodating and is genuinely interested in making your event exactly what you want it to be. I highly recommend him.

Best wedding DJ!!
Jon DJ’d our wedding Reception. He was AMAZING even with this crazy pandemic. Our wedding plans were constantly changing due to the pandemic and Jon was able to roll with the constant changes. He had our guests dancing and singing all night. He did a great job MC’ing, and he provided all the equipment needed. One of our friends just kept saying on the dance floor “I don’t know who this DJ is, but he’s f*****g AMAZING”. Everyone at our little wedding had so much fun. We’re not the type of people who leave reviews often, but felt that we needed to take the time to leave a review for Jon because he is a ROCK STAR DJ. We highly recommend him for your event.

So much fun!
WOW! Jon did an absolutely AMAZING job at my wedding in Tahoe. I can honestly say the dance floor was full the entire night. He did a great job feeling the crowd and honoring personal requests. He was great at communicating with our day of wedding planner. Beyond all that, he was just great to be around and genuinely excited to play for our wedding. We would hands down recommend him to anyone! Thanks again for an amazing night!

Very professional and great to work with
Super happy with Jon's ability to work with the client and us here at the venue! I was very impressed with his communication and his talent as a DJ!!! I will recommend him to future clients here at Olympic Valley Stables! I also really like his light-up speaker stands. Never seen those before and added a fun classy element to dance floor!

Excellent DJ! So fun!
Wow! Jon did such an awesome job this weekend at my sisters wedding. He is so fun and the music was great. He kept everyone engaged and was so on top of things with announcing different events during the reception. Everyone had such a good time at the wedding and he was a huge part of that. He was great interacting with the guests and all the kids as well! You can tell that this is really his passion and he loves doing it! I highly recommend him for your future event! Look no further for a wedding DJ

I have nothing but good things to say about Jon Alder DJ services! He adds such a fun and interactive spin to the atmosphere that you can't help but get up and dance. He is professional but also easy to get along with and easy to work with. He feels out the crowd and atmosphere and will play according to what the crowd is feeling and what the environment calls for. We are so lucky we got such an amazing local DJ that was reasonably priced, I would highly recommend Jon Alder DJ services!

What a wedding! Good times, good people, and good music all around. DJs in Reno was excellent, Jon was great and kept the vibes going all night. I don’t think we ever really left the dance floor! One of the best event DJs I’ve been around in Reno and he had the mood right the whole time. Between karaoke and lots of dancing hits he kept the mood up and everyone happy and celebrating. Would definitely recommend DJ Jon for your events!

DJ was AMAZING! If you need someone to interact with your party, he's the one! Prom was
spectacular, he came into the crowd and made it super hype. He played the music we requested and

It was awesome and I had a lot of fun.
this dj was AWESOME! he played good music that made everyone want to get up and dance. Lately our school has had trouble with everyone liking the music played at dances and everyone was so happy with the music because of this dj! I am sad this is my senior year and we’ve only had this dj this year. i wish to have this dj again for the grades below and hope they have the same experience i had!

If you want your guest to enjoy the night look no further. Djs Reno is interactive and will get you and your guest up an moving. I had a corporate event short notice ask for a dj and they were quick to respond and get everything together. On the day of the event he was early and ready to go when the party started. We had a requested theme and genre of music. He was more then prepared for our theme and live request. Jon got down on the dance floor and showed out guest dance moves to songs and encourage people to dance.

Fantastic Energy
Jon was with me before I had to postpone for covid and I can confidently say in the 2+ years of my engagement he maintained the same level on interest and excitement for our wedding. He helped plan and direct a lot of things for me. Day of, every announcement and song choice was wonderful - he really kept the party moving.
