The Best DJ You Could Possibly Imagine!

If you want to have everybody on the dance floor for as much time as possible, DJ Chris is the most amazing DJ you could ever have for an event! I found him by talking to a young couple one time that I had just met who were telling me about their amazing wedding DJ. I was looking for a DJ for my daughter’s wedding and when they told me that 8 of their friends subsequently booked him for their weddings , I had to call him. He was so easy to talk to, so enthusiastic and so flexible that I booked him immediately. He absolutely rocked the wedding. His introduction was so enthusiastic, he set the tone from that moment on for an incredible evening. He had everybody dancing most of the evening! I’ve never seen anything like it at any wedding in my life! He was very intuitive to the music and very easily changed gears with the crowd. He never made the music about him. I cannot tell you how many of our guests said he was the best DJ they have ever seen at a wedding. I completely agree with them!

DJ Chris is the BEST!

We met with him about a year prior to our wedding to go over our general plans and knew he was the perfect fit for us. A couple weeks before we met and went over the playlist and entrance songs, he is so great as a DJ we had no worries at all. Every song we requested he played and he kept the dance floor full all night. We cannot recommend him enough, he was fantastic! The music was loud enough for the party but also not so loud during dinner you couldn’t talk or hear, it was the perfect level.

Would hire again & again!

We couldn’t be happier with our choice of DJ for our wedding! From the very first consultation, Chris was professional, attentive, and genuinely excited to be part of our big day. He took the time to understand our music preferences, special requests, and the overall vibe we wanted for the evening.

The music selection was spot on—every transition was smooth, and the dance floor was packed all night long. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had! The sound quality was excellent, and the lighting setup added a beautiful touch to the venue atmosphere. Chris also did a great job with announcements and keeping the evening flowing without being overbearing.

If you’re looking for a DJ who truly knows how to read a crowd, play the right songs at the right time, and help create an unforgettable celebration, we highly recommend Chris. He was an absolute highlight of our wedding!

Chris is the absolute best! From start to finish, he was on top of everything, and his reviews truly speak for themselves. Best DJ Ever!!!

I would give DJ Chris 10 stars if I could! Chris DJ’d for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on 12/2/23 at Lambertville Station and was absolutely flawless. He was SO easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell he loves what he does! We had a wide range of guests (age and taste in music), but Chris had everyone dancing the entire night. He made the bride and groom feel at ease (and EXCITED) the entire time, was very outgoing, and needed very, very little assistance and direction. The absolute best DJ we could have wished for! Thank you so much, Chris, for making our day AWESOME!

Amazing experience!

DJ Chris was phenomenal! He worked with us ahead of time to plan our music out - we made a few specific song requests and gave a handful of no-plays, but for the most part just told him roughly what music we liked and he ran with it. Everyone seemed to enjoy the music, including us! Chris also helped get everyone organized and under control before dinner so that everyone in the bridal party knew what to do when they walked into the ballroom. I never felt like he tried to steal the show from me or my bride, he did a great job of making the night about us and our guests! One last little note, we have been to so many weddings where we couldn't even hold conversations during dinner because the music was being played so loudly. In a couple of these instances, the bride/groom even asked the DJ to turn the music down and they didn't... we mentioned this concern to Chris ahead of time and he kept the music at the perfect level during dinner, we could hear it just fine but also were able to converse with all our guests.

Couldn't have asked for a better DJ

DJ Chris was the absolute best addition to our wedding. I knew from the first time we spoke that he was the right guy for the job. His energy and personality shined through the phone, and I knew then that he was the right guy for the job. He is truly passionate about his job and really cares about his couples having the best time. He made the entire process so smooth and easy from start to finish. We had a few phone calls to run through the specifics and details for the day. He was so quick to respond to my emails and questions. But what I loved most is that he knows how to read the room. He played a variety of genres to get the whole room dancing. Every guest was up on the dance floor having the time of their lives. My guests and family could not stop talking about how great Chris was and even weeks after our wedding I am still getting so many compliments about our reception. Chris definitely did not disappoint. I have no clue when I'll need a DJ again in the future, but you bet if I ever do, I’ll be calling DJ Chris and you should too!

Our November 26, 2022 Wedding reception was a truly wonderful fun filled evening!

The music selections were perfect. The volume of the music allowed for conversation! Many guests were dancing within minutes of our being nicely introduced by Chris. Every wedding needs Chris!

Every wedding needs Chris. He was FANTASTIC. I love to dance and wanted a DJ who would keep the energy high and make sure that all guests, younger and older, are dancing the night away. Chris surpassed all our expectations. He knows how to read the crowd and he made sure that everyone had an absolute blast, even guests who we never expected to see on the dance floor, were on it all night. We got so many compliments on the music and the energy, all thanks to Chris. He made sure that everything ran smoothly and as planned, so all we had to do was enjoy our night stress free!

He was also incredibly helpful leading up to our wedding, answering all of our questions thoughtfully and helping us nail down our reception timeline. He offered great advice where needed and made us feel like we are in great hands from day 1. We cannot recommend Chris enough! If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. He made our wedding perfect.

Chris is the best!

We saw Chris DJ at my best friend's wedding in July 2019 and knew we had to have him at our own wedding. He was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating when we had to reschedule our wedding not once, but twice due to COVID. Chris is very detail-oriented and will make sure your wedding day is perfect. He played all of the songs we requested and also expertly read the room to play other songs that kept everyone on the dance floor all night. I cannot say enough great things about Chris and would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Absolutely amazing!

Let me start by saying Chris is awesome. His electric personality is evident the first time you meet him. And that electric personality carried through to our wedding reception. Our reception was at The Hamilton Manor and he absolutely killed it, with his knowledge of the up lighting and flow of the night. He had every guest up and dancing, whether it was to slow songs or bangers! Chris is the definition of flexible. He worked with my husband and I through any kinks during the reception. Chris DJed my cousin's wedding over 5 years ago and I knew after her wedding that when I got married I had to hire him. Chris is the absolute best DJ! Our guests were dancing the entire time and everyone said how wonderful the music was! He guided us through the entire process of selecting music, answered every email and question within 24 hours, is very professional yet calm, reassuring, funny, and just a generally awesome person! Best DJ - Highly Recommend

Chris is AMAZING! He played everything we asked for and did an awesome job playing music guests of all ages would enjoy. His rates are competitive and he is so easy to work with. My dad was a little nervous about public speaking and said Chris made him feel at ease prior to giving his toast. Our guests raved about the DJ all night and how much fun they were having. Our wedding was half of what we anticipated at 90 people due to COVID and you would have never known with how packed the dance floor was. It was the first event many of us attended since all restrictions were lifted and Chris was a major contributor to our perfect day.

You NEED DJ Chris in your life

Originally, I was getting married on 7/2/21 but due to conflict with our original venue, we completely switched venues and dates. We had already booked Chris for our 7/2/21 wedding, and I was SO excited when I learned that he could switch to our new date of 3/26/21 and still be our DJ!! From the very beginning, Chris made the ENTIRE process SO easy. You could tell from the first phone call that he has such a passion for what he does, and let me tell you, he is DAMN GOOD at it!! We had our wedding in Sewell, NJ on 3/26/2021 and I still have people texting me 2 weeks later either telling me how amazing the wedding was, how Chris was the best DJ they've ever met OR asking for the info for our DJ cause they want to pass it along to someone they know who's getting married. The title he has of "DJ Your Way" is spot on. He told me to tell him exactly what we want and what we don't want (which to me, are both equally important) and he will make it happen. He went above and beyond. I believe a bad DJ can make or break a wedding, and our goal (mine, my husbands and Chris') was to make sure we didn't have an empty dance floor the entire night and let me tell you, there was not a single moment where we had an empty dance floor. It was PACKED our entire wedding, and that's exactly what we wanted. One of my husbands friends told us TWO DAYS after our wedding, that he only got out of bed one time within those two days to go to the grocery store but otherwise, he stayed in bed. Not just because of the alcohol haha but because his legs were SO sore because he literally danced the ENTIRE night and his thighs hurt so bad. Now, THAT is the sign of an incredible wedding. I could write so much more. But I can promise that you will not be disappointed if you book DJ Chris for your wedding/event. He makes sure you and your S.O. are happy and have everything you want, without being overbearing or pushy. If you want a fun, kickass DJ for your wedding, who has a GREAT personality and truly LOVES what he does, Chris is your DJ!

Chris DJ'd our wedding and was awesome!!! From our first facetime call we could tell just how passionate and excited he is about what he does. We knew from his energy that he was going to be the right guy for the job. He's very professional and had a lot of good advice for us about the reception as well. He took the time to go through a huge spotify playlist we made and catered to the music we like and got people up and dancing. Chris had our dance floor packed the entire night and read the room perfectly.

During our planning process he made many suggestions that we took into consideration like shortening songs and combining clips (all included in his price).

DJ Chris provided an exquisite service from start to finish during the planning and execution of his set at our wedding. Chris clearly understood what was needed to create a successful process and he helped guide us through it clearly, making us feel at ease the whole way through. He was receptive in listening to our preferences, and whilst DJ’ing he quickly tuned in to the mood and likes of the attendees, to help create a truly unforgettable party. AMAZING music all night long

I had remembered Chris as the DJ from my cousin's wedding 7 years ago. He was the first and only DJ I reached out to. I was so happy that he had my wedding date available and booked him ASAP. Chris was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. He was extremely responsive to every text and email prior to the wedding. Since our wedding last Saturday, SO many guests have commented about the music and how great the DJ was! We had a longer reception than most, but that didn't keep Chris from keeping the party going all night. He was constantly reading the crowd and playing music that catered to all ages. It was amazing! Would Give 6 Stars if I Could

We had something fairly specific in mind for our wedding, something not necessarily easy to achieve, yet Chris was able to deliver exactly what we were looking for. He worked with us throughout the planning process to ensure that he knew what we wanted, and what we didn't want.

Chris is professional, immediately-likable, and more than capable of coming-through on his promises to make your vision of your day a reality. In our case, he made sure the dance floor was packed all night. No crazy laser-lights, smoke, or gimmicks - just absolutely the right songs at the right times to keep everyone on their feet. We've talked to many of our guests since our day and almost every conversation comes back to Chris and how much of the night was spent dancing and loving it.

People rave about Chris, and we can tell you now, it's for good reason. Chris is a really talented DJ, we highly, highly recommend.

A true professional

Chris was awesome!! He was attentive to every minor detail, and he gave us so much advice and great ideas leading up to the wedding. Sometimes vendors fall through and lose contact, but not with Chris. He truly wanted our day to be perfect and did everything to make sure it was. When the day came he was there and ready to entertain! Non stop dancing throughout the whole night; and that was exactly what we were looking for. I would recommend Chris to anyone getting married!

Chris was an absolutely amazing DJ. He was helpful and professional from day one all the way until the end. He gave us so many suggestions for planning our wedding that were not even DJ related. He just seemed to love to help and be involved in our wedding. He has such a positive attitude and great energy. If you want your wedding to be a big (but tasteful) party, then Chris is your guy! If you want a PARTY, book DJ Chris!!

From the first phone call, we knew Chris was the BEST choice for our wedding DJ. He created a custom made first dance, and easily took in all our input to create the perfect playlist. I was prepared with a bunch of questions for the first phone call, but didn't need to even ask them because he shared with me everything I wanted to hear without any prompting! DJ Chris is a complete professional! The flow was perfect and he was ready with hit after hit. There was insane energy and dance floor was packed the whole night. Chris is awesome!

We are so glad we booked Chris for our wedding! He took the time to make sure the music was exactly how we wanted it down to the second cutting down and switching up intro songs and incorporating all the songs we gave him but also going with the vibe of the crowd on the day of. We love DJ Chris!

Chris had our guests dancing all night! I found Chris through reviews online and I set up a meeting with him. I’m a pretty organized person that knows what they want so I already had an extensive Do Not Playlist spreadsheet as well as a wish list playlist spreadsheet too. My husband and I were so impressed when we left we KNEW he was our DJ and had to book him. We had such a good feeling and great vibes just from our hour long meeting. I had sent him songs I wanted to use for intros and he had them all queued up to the spots he wanted to use when we got there for our meeting. It was also great that he does weddings at our venue frequently so I was beyond confident that everything would go smoothly. He was full of energy and brought a great vibe to our wedding throughout the night with his personality and skills! I would highly recommend!

Best DJ around!

Chris was the best DJ we could have asked for! He was super personable and easy to work with from the start. He made sure every moment from before the ceremony to the end of the reception was planned out and perfect. He was always available via text or email when we needed him and he checked in from time to time and made sure we didn’t have any questions. He played every song we requested as well as songs we didn’t even think of. He even cut down our first dance song for us so it would be the perfect length for our dance. The dance floor was full all night and everyone had a great time! Multiple guests told me he played the best music they had heard at a wedding.
I cannot recommend Chris enough and hope anyone considering his services decides to use him. You will not regret choosing DJ Your Way.

Chris is an absolute must-have for your reception!

My husband and I are so happy that we chose Chris to DJ our 7/13/19 wedding. Chris was absolutely fantastic, and we highly recommend him. Guests of all ages came up to me to rave about our playlist, and the dance floor was full all night. Chris made the night so much fun for everyone! During the planning process Chris was extremely professional and responsive. He is extremely detail-oriented and thought through every detail of our reception. He coordinated with our venue so that everything would go perfectly (and it did!). Chris took the time to speak with us about our music preferences and understand our vision for our reception, as well as offer helpful suggestions based on his extensive experience. We cannot say enough good things about Chris. We had read excellent reviews prior to booking Chris, but he managed to exceed all expectations that we had. Excellent DJ! Would recommend again and again!

Chris was my DJ for my 6/8/19 wedding in Hamilton, NJ, and he was absolutely terrific! He consistently responded to all my messages/questions within a few minutes throughout the many months we were in communication. He made it clear from the start that my happiness was a priority, and he would do anything he could to accommodate that. He worked with us to discuss playlists, wedding games (bouquet throw, shoe game), and he even worked very hard to coordinate a special "Happy Birthday" to be sung to my brother who has a developmental disability. Chris was at the venue several hours early setting up, and everything went as smoothly as imaginable. He is familiar with many wedding venues in and around Hamilton, NJ. His home office is beautiful, and he was always professional and respectful. He was kind to my guests making music requests throughout the night, and he kept it very classy and tasteful. Everyone was asking me for the playlist afterwards! I give Chris the highest recommendation, and I know he will make your wedding a musically wonderful occasion!

Shemansky Wedding

Chris was an absolute blast at our wedding. He not only took all the songs were requested prior to the wedding, but grasped our whole mindset of what we wanted to hear & dance to. Absolutely perfect from start to finish

I’m so glad that we worked with Chris for our wedding and if you’re still searching, book him ASAP! We hired Chris for our entire wedding, from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. He was very accessible and thorough. He covered every last detail (things we never would have thought of) and executed everything perfectly. Our dance floor was crowded as soon as dinner was over and we basically had to kick people out at the end of the night because Chris had kept the party going all night with great music! He's your guy!

He’s your guy! We knew as soon as we spoke to DJ Chris on the phone that he was our guy. He was so genuine and down-to-earth. Some of the other DJs we spoke to sounded like car salesmen but Chris was honest and friendly. He had done over 50 weddings at our venue so before the wedding he had a lot of great advice on setup and what we’d actually need music or equipment for (and what we didn’t). He gave us suggestions on where to sit people and how to set up tables, what kind of music would work during each event (he even told us we wouldn’t need him for cocktail hour since the venue had good music already - helping us save money), and what worked best for formal/informal settings depending on what we wanted. I LOVED that he was able to guide us but ultimately he left everything up to us and didn’t pressure us into anything since it was our wedding. Based on the ideas he gave us, we knew we could trust him to read the crowd and play stuff we liked. He made sure we were the stars of the show and that we got everything we wanted.

My favorite part - and we had no idea he was going to do this - was when we were introduced at the reception and came down the stairs. He had the whole crowd twirling their white napkins like rally towels. We’re a crowd of big sports fans so this really brought the excitement to a whole new level!

Most importantly, he read the crowd right and played music that kept people on the dance floor all night! We had a weird mix of young and old guests and he was able to cater to both somehow and keep our friends, my parents friends, work friends of all ages, and grandparents out on the dance floor. As a bride, it made it SO much easier for me that he took one thing off my plate knowing that he would make sure the music would fit the crowd and I could see it as everyone was partying on the dance floor. There were lots of sore feet the day after!

The most amazing DJ who kept the party going

This past weekend Chris Matthews was the dj at my wedding. He also provided the music for my ceremony and cocktail hour. Chris was the dj at my sister’s wedding 10 years ago and the second I got engaged I reached out to him. He was the first vendor I booked because I didn’t want to miss out on him. He kept the party going all night long. I had to be dragged off the dance floor to eat my dinner. He is so easy to work with and is so reassuring. My wedding day didn’t go as planned as most don’t and he was so accommodating and worked with my family and made everyone feel so comfortable. His pricing is extremely reasonable for how great he is so responsive to emails and phone calls and willing to meet up with you anytime prior to the wedding to go over things. My wedding was Friday and in 4 days I have had 6 friends reach out to me to ask for his contact information for either their upcoming wedding or a friend or family’s upcoming wedding. I hope I get invited to a wedding soon where Chris Matthews is the DJ so I can dance the night away!

We partied all night long!

It truly is "DJ Your Way" - Chris did EXACTLY what we wanted at our wedding! He was very thorough in the planning process, covering every last detail, even helping us pick out songs for cutting the cake and throwing the bouquet. At the wedding, he executed each one of those details exactly as we had planned!!
Chris provided music for the entire night, from the ceremony to the last call, and people were on the dance floor the ENTIRE time! We are very thankful to Chris for helping make our wedding celebration a party to remember!

Chris was absolutely amazing. He’s way more than a DJ, he’s also like a day of coordinator. He kept our entire day organized and running smoothly. He truly runs the whole show. Terrific DJ - 10/10 stars!

Chris was a terrific, high-energy DJ who took excellent care of us and our guests throughout the entire day. The music selection was fantastic and kept everyone on the dance floor and energized until the very last song. He was relaxed and fun to work with before the wedding and really listened to what we wanted. He was organized, communicative and professional and helped make our special day absolutely perfect. Best Wedding DJ

Chris was a fantastic DJ and we highly recommend him. He was easy going and quick to respond from the start. One of the main reasons we picked Chris was because we had a large song request list and we wanted someone who was willing to work them in. Chris was great about not only working our songs in, but flagging some that he was concerned may not go over as well as making recommendations on additions. His recommendations were spot on and he kept the dance floor packed the entire night. Chris also brought a great energy to the event and made it so easy for us. I am pretty sure my wife didn't leave the dance floor once. We can't recommend Chris enough!

Best Wedding DJ!!

Chris was the DJ for my wedding on 12/1/18 and he was absolutely perfect, and incredibly affordable budget wise. He provided the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and receptions. He helped us plan our timeline of the night, and his knowledge and experience was really helpful in making sure The entire night went smooth, & that all of the music had the perfect flow. He even provided a mic and stand for the ceremony! We gave him a list of songs to give him the vibe of what we were going for and he absolutely nailed it. Our dance floor was going the entire reception (including dinner). I could not be happier with my choice to use Chris for the best day of my life.

Wedding DJ

I honestly cannot say enough great things about Chris! He was our DJ for our wedding on 9/22/2018. From our initial meeting with Chris, we knew he was going to be our DJ. Chris exceeded all our expectations we had in a DJ. We initially met with Chris to discuss our wedding and even though it was a “business meeting,” it was so easy to talk with Chris. He made you feel like you knew him for a long time. He really tried to get to know my wife and myself. His personality made it so easy to chat with. While he was very personable and put our happiness above all else, he was not afraid to give us some guidance when he thought a particular song may fit better somewhere else in the night, or that something may not flow as well as we'd like it to. He worked with us to be sure that we had a reception that not only we loved, but everyone else did as well. On our wedding day, we utilized Chris for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He went above and beyond on all three. Choosing your wedding DJ is super important because they are the ones that keep the flow of the party going. Chris is 100% the best man for this job. For the entire night, he played the right songs. Trust me when I say this, if you put your trust in Chris, he does not disappoint. We only gave Chris a few no play songs and told him we trust him, he delivered with a spectacular night of dancing. He played all the right songs. We received so many compliments on our DJ from family members whose weddings we’ve been to who said they never danced so much at weddings. Chris was by far worth every penny. We cannot begin to thank Chris for what he did. Our wedding definitely would not have been the same without him and if I had to do this all over again, I'd pick Chris in a heartbeat. And if I ever need a DJ for a future event, I won't hesitate to give him a call! I highly recommend Chris for your weddings.

Made our reception perfect!

From our first meeting with Chris we were impressed. He understood our needs, made great suggestions and that continued throughout the planning process. He was excellent at the reception. Everyone of all ages from grandparents down to the teens thought the music was catered to them! We had the dance floor packed the whole time and everyone complimented us on our selection of music. The best DJ!

We hired Chris as our wedding DJ, and he did such an awesome job! Chris was amazing and if I could give him more than a 5 I would. He did our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music on 9.29.18. We have gotten so many compliments on how the party was amazing, and the music was awesome he really kept the party alive. He arrived super early to make sure all went to plan, and you could hear crystal clear at the ceremony especially with a few passing cars. Chris knew when to switch songs, and organize the song choices in a way that kept the party going. Chris was very knowledge about music and about how the wedding should go. He helped me and my father plan a surprise dance, without anyone knowing. He even cut the music multiple times for us. He really felt the flow of the music. He helped in any way he could, and made sure we had the best time ever! We can't recommend Chris to enough people!

DJ Chris is an AMAZING deejay. At our wedding on 8.18.18 we had almost 200 guests. The dance floor always had people on it! We gave DJ Chris the go ahead to feel out our crowd and play songs off of them. He nailed it! Sooo many people have told us he was the best deejay they’ve ever seen at an event. I was a bridesmaid in my college roommate’s wedding and their DJ was amazing. People did not leave the dance floor the whole night! So when I was planning my July 2018 wedding this was the easiest part. Chris was amazing to work with! He was extremely thorough and helped answer all our questions on the wedding timeline, we gave direction on our music taste and he took over from there. Chris could not have been a more perfect DJ for us and for our wedding. While my wife and I were taking photos during cocktail hour, we got several messages from people complimenting us on the music (We asked for some nerdier music to be thrown in, and he ran with it very well). Directions for the introductions were very clear, and the whole process flowed very well. The remainder of the night was a series of perfect scene transitions. It was obvious that Chris knew our schedule very well, and chose the music to fit what the guests would likely be doing in any given moment. The highlight of the night was during and after a performance I gave for my wife. I asked Chris to set me up an area to perform a piece on the saxophone. In the process of setting up the logistics a few weeks before, my wife and I informed him of a song and "dance" that became infamous among my bandmates and I in college, many of whom were there that night. After the performance, Chris transitioned from my piece to said song. About 10 of my friends joined me on the dance floor and did a completely impromptu dance, bringing us all back to our college days. While we had requested the song to be played at some point during the night, Chris timed it perfectly because he knew everyone would be watching, and I'd have my saxophone. Everyone in the room was smiling and laughing. It was absolutely perfect. If I had to do this all over again, I'd pick Chris in a heartbeat. And if I ever need a DJ for a future event, I won't hesitate to give him a call!

Chris was awesome from the very beginning of the night until the end! We were so glad that we chose him as our DJ! He goes over every single detail with you prior to your day so that everything goes exactly as you want it. He was was so detailed and helpful with song choices/questions that we had. We were really able to picture the day before it even happened. Chris exceeded our expectations- he was great!

CHRIS IS AWESOME!!! We haven't stopped hearing about our wedding esp. the music. Great mix of everything that my husband and I wanted. We met a few times with Chris and he made sure we were happy and all our questions were answered. VERY professional and just a great guy who knows his music!!! I hope I need a DJ for another event in the future I would go straight to Chris! Thank you so much for everything Chris, we (and all our guests) had a blast!!!!!

Chris was the DJ at our wedding earlier this month and I wish I could rate him higher than 5/5- he was the best! Through the whole process he was very professional and easy to work with. He made sure he had all the details in place prior to our big day and went above and beyond to cut down our first dance song for us since it was too long. Chris kept the whole reception flowing smoothly in a really fun and upbeat way. The cocktail hour music was exactly what we wanted and the reception music was awesome. Chris had the dance floor full even before the first course and people didn’t stop dancing until the last song. He had not only our friends, but our parents and their friends dancing the whole night. Family members I’ve never seen dance at weddings were dancing, and even some of our great aunts/uncles got out there. It was hard to leave the dance floor because Chris kept playing one great song after another. I can’t tell you how many compliments I got on the music and people saying they’ve never danced so much at a wedding. Chris did a great job and I can’t recommend him highly enough!

DJ Chris made our wedding an absolutely amazing time. Our wedding guests were of all ages and the flow and variety music had everyone dancing until the very last minute. He was very accommodating to our requests and his feel good personality made the whole experience awesome. We first heard of DJ Chris at our friends wedding which was a great night of dancing and he definitely delivered for ours!

From the very beginning Chris was amazing to work with. He DJed our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception for an amazing price. He went over everything we wanted and needed. He downloaded songs to make sure we had everything EXACTLY the way we wanted. Chris was very professional about letting us know the best way to go about expediting our entire wedding. He ran through every last detail with us. He never downplayed any of our ideas. He did everything he promised. All night I was getting compliments about how amazing Chris was. He had everyone out on the dance floor all night long. We had people tell us that night that our wedding was the most fun they ever had dancing at a wedding. My cousin even used the hashtag on Instagram #djwaslit! We highly recommend Chris to DJ any event you are having and would use him again in a heartbeat.

Chris is a down to earth easy going guy that listens to everything you want .But if he gives a suggestion about music or the night take his advice he knows what he is doing!! The night of our wedding we were asked a million times were we found our awesome DJ. He takes his job very serious and tries his best to make your night perfect. He doesn’t just show up and play music he gets the crowd pumped and makes sures you stay on schedule.

We could not have selected a better DJ for our wedding than Chris! Chris had so much energy and excitement during our first meeting with him a couple months before. As we shared a couple ideas we had with him (First Dance, final song, etc.) you could tell the creative gears were in motion, and he figured out the perfect way to make everything work. We are both very big music fans, and therefore we were very particular about what music we wanted to hear. Chris took our (giant) list of selections and worked in most of the songs we wanted to hear, while still being honest about what he thought may not work or not fit. He communicated well with us leading up to the wedding, and was extremely organized heading into the big day. We wanted a packed dance floor all night, and Chris made that happen! We received a ton of compliments from our guests who loved the music: a good mix of older and newer stuff with the right balance and framing of each song. Chris perfectly executed various touches we wanted: from the father/daughter dance which featured a "polka cut-in" to the final song of the evening, karaoke style. Chris was professional whenever he was on the microphone, keeping his introductions, etc. short and sweet. His sound equipment was top of the line: perfect volume but not too loud for guests who wanted to chat instead of dance. All in all, Chris was a professional, excellent DJ who helped make our big day incredible. We wanted to have a "party atmosphere" at our reception, and he helped deliver that to us, our family, and our friends. Thanks Chris!

Chris was the DJ for our wedding this November and he is absolutely incredible! He's extremely easy to work with and customized our day to exactly what we wanted! He will play whatever music you want or come up with his own playlist, and he'll talk as much or as little as you want during the reception. He was extremely professional and made our wedding day the most perfect day we could imagine!! He walked us through every moment of the night so we knew what to expect and helped us plan out all the little details of the day. All we wanted was for our guests to have the time of their lives and Chris helped us accomplish just that--the dance floor was packed the entire night! Would HIGHLY recommend him for your wedding or special event! :)

Chris is the ultimate professional and hands down the best DJ in New Jersey. We had multiple conversations over my 15 month engagement and he made us feel at ease the whole time. We used him for our ceremony, cocktail hour, & Reception. We gave him a small list of songs/genere's we liked and he played to our taste. I had questions about whether or not certain songs would be "OK" for the dancefloor, and he will give you his honest opinion but leave it to you at the end of the day. While I never plan on getting married again, I would love to use Chris for future events. In closing, you'll be doing your wedding a disservice by not hiring DJ Chris Matthews to spin at your wedding.

Chris was our favorite vendor to work with! We had been to several weddings of his and had a great time at each one, so we knew we wanted him to DJ our wedding. From the first meeting we had with him to the very last dance of our wedding reception, Chris was awesome! He was easy to communicate with and was so enthusiastic, which made us even more excited for our big day. We gave him a handful of songs to show our taste in music and then gave him the freedom to do what he wanted, and he designed an absolutely perfect playlist. He played everything we requested on our "must play" list, and then chose the perfect songs to keep everyone on the dance floor. You know it's a fun wedding when people are on the dance floor before dinner! Chris catered to everything we wanted and created a fun, exciting, perfect night for us and for our guests!

Chris was the DJ for our wedding in September of 2017, and he was absolutely fantastic!!

We first met with Chris about a year before the wedding. From the first meeting we knew he would be a great choice for our wedding. He is very professional, and has a great energy level. We met with other DJ companies before Chris, and they all told us the same thing, that they were not sure who our actual DJ would be until our day was close. With Chris we did not have that problem. We knew he would be the one we planned with throughout the process, and he would be the one there on our day.

We had our wedding in our backyard of our home. Since this was our own home, one of the big challenges was deciding where everything should go (bar, caterer, tables, DJ...etc). Chris was nice enough to come to our house a few months before the wedding to check out the yard with us. As soon as he got there he immediately started firing off his ideas of how the layout should be, and what would work best. We used basically every suggestion that Chris gave us, and he was spot on with every one of them! He is truly an expert in the wedding industry, and he knows exactly how a wedding should be set up and flow.

The actual wedding day turned out to be amazing, and that was hugely thanks to Chris. I am a believer that the DJ is the single most important thing in making a wedding fun, and Chris delivered 100% on that. We had an amazing time at our wedding, and all of our guests complemented how good the music and DJ was. And all of this was at a much better price than the other DJ companies wanted. Seriously, Chris did an amazing job for a price that the other companies could not even touch.

Wedding planning is hard and stressful, but picking the DJ was the easiest part of it all because of Chris. He helped us the entire way, and even went above the duties of a DJ by helping us plan the layout and flow of the day. Do yourself a favor and use Chris for your wedding!!

From the moment I first spoke to Chris on the phone, I liked him immediately. He was so nice, so energetic, easy to talk to, and had a great voice that just pumped excitement through my veins just listening to him. I thought imagine what he'll do at a big party your throwing like a wedding?! My gut instinct told me to just go with him, and I am so glad I did because he made my wedding day the successful, fun, magical event I truly wanted it to be! He did the music for my ceremony flawlessly, listened carefully to everything I wanted, and made it happen. The sound he provided was perfect and crystal clear, no awkward unwanted noises or humming sounds, it was perfect! The reception music, same thing, amazing! He kept the party going, and flowing, and listened to my wants and needs. He was a great DJ, people raved all night about how much fun they had and how he transitioned all these great songs from different decades throughout the night flawlessly! He seriously made the night, and I couldn't be more grateful to him. He is very reasonable in price compared to some other DJ's, so If you don't want to spend a fortune and your not the type to be caught up with all the bells and whistles, and just want to get to the point, which is good music, fun, and a night for people to truly remember then go with DJ Chris Mathews, he will not let you down! He was seriously one of my favorite vendors that I encountered during this wedding planning experience. He always got me pumped and excited when I spoke to him, and kept me at ease when he could tell I was panicking about planning lol. Great guy, will definitely reach out to him again if I need to plan another event.

My wife and I were recently married at the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge. When we were looking for a DJ, we were not looking for someone who was going to wheel in giant projector TVs or dance enhancers, rather we were looking for someone with a ton of experience, who was friendly, professional and most of all knew how to get and keep our guests dancing.

Chris was awesome from the get. He helped to guide some of our decisions as we spoke with him about what we were looking for and then he fully delivered on everything he said he would. He handled everything from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception flawlessly. We gave him a list of songs/genres/artists that we like and he took it from there.

Seriously, if the music is what is important to you and not a spray tan and a big screen tv, do yourself a favor and meet with Chris. We were happy we did.

My husband will tell you the most important part of the wedding is the DJ, so I put him in charge of finding ours-and he did a wonderful job! Chris, DJ Your Way with Chris, was everything a couple could ask for. He listened to everything we told him about who we were as a couple, our guests, what we wanted and most importantly what we didn't want! The music was timed perfectly for the ceremony. He played our requests at the perfect times. He kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night! We even requested he stay the extra hour, and he kept people going until the very end! We loath traditional weddings and all the cliche wedding songs. DJ Chris was creative in his song selection and played what he knew our guests enjoyed dancing to. He was culturally responsive-appealing to my husband's Latino background, as well as my European one so that both sides danced throughout the night and truly enjoyed it as a newly formed union. He mixed everything well, and our guests complimented him throughout the night. Guests made comments to me such as, "This is the best DJ and music I have ever heard" and "He mixed the music well and was really fun".
He had an upbeat, enthusiastic personality through it all-the interview process, the planning, and the ceremony. He did everything we asked him to do and more! He gave us wonderful advice and guidance on timing of events so that we got to enjoy the night dancing instead of feeling like we were being held to a schedule .
Most importantly, Chris was an outstanding professional who kept our backyard wedding going even in the mist of humidity and then rainy weather. When it started to rain, Chris was a true professional. He kept the music going and adjusted seamlessly. Listen to his advice and directions and you can't go wrong!

What can we say about Chris? Professional, organized, PERFECTIONIST! We loved him from the moment we met him and booked immediately after meeting him one time, a year before our wedding. He is immediately responsive to email/phone calls and truly took care of everything. He often works at our venue and we had ZERO doubts or worries that he would be able to coordinate with them about everything. DJ Chris gave us an amazing party! He met with us multiple times before the wedding and listened to every request we asked of him. He kept everyone dancing from the second we entered the reception until the very last song. He coordinated the ceremony, organized our bridal party, and made sure everyone walked in on time. He organized the speeches and toasts during the evening and overall, went above and beyond anything we ever expected from a DJ. We couldn't be more thankful for the night that DJ Chris gave us and would choose him every time!! The day went off without a hitch, which had a lot to do with the amazing job DJ Chris did for us!

My daughter and son-in-law live out of town and had no opportunity to meet any DJ's or see them in action. Instead, they phone interviewed about 5 different DJ's and their gut told them Chris was the guy! They were right--he was unbelievably accommodating and just as responsive and equally nice. He had EVERYONE up on the dance floor ALL night including the groom's 80 year old grandmother. Everyone is still talking about how great he was! Thanks, Chris! Chris Matthews made our wedding. From initially reaching out to him to the hours before our wedding, he provided nothing but exceptional
service. Our engagement was over a year and he was responsive during the entire time. He always went the extra mile with phone calls, emails, or Skype sessions going over the playlist, names of our huge bridal party, and every other little detail. He made our bridal party and family all feel special. He helped guide us through everything from songs and emceeing (for the bouquet toss, garter, parent dances, etc.) to ensuring that everything was exactly as we wanted (name pronunciations, pacing of the reception, microphones during the ceremony, he left no stone unturned). Our guests, young and old, loved the mix of music from popular oldies to actually current Top 40 (2017) songs as well as our favorite 90's jams. Also, you really cannot beat the price and considering how much value he brought- we 100% recommend Chris Matthews.

From the moment we met Chris, we knew he was a great person and trusted that he'd be a great DJ (which is absolutely is). During our wedding, he was attentive and fed off the crowd on the dance floor. There was never a lull in the music and the energy was always high. I got several compliments after our wedding about how awesome our DJ was, how the music catered to both the young and older demographics represented at our wedding, which is a tough feat for anyone. Again, we thank Chris for being instrumental in helping us pull of the biggest dance party of our lives!

Chris Mathews is fabulous! He had our guests on the dance floor from start to finish. He followed the crowd's lead and played different music all night long that was enjoyed by young and old alike. We had a NYE wedding and he led the count down and the midnight celebration to perfection. Chris is masterful in his craft and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ!
