    You won't go wrong with this company

    What an asset to our wedding! The DJ they sent was AWESOME! They did everything they claimed, and even went above what we wanted to make sure that everything on the day of the wedding was absolutely perfect. They had every music selection as promised, they thought of things for our wedding that we haven't event thought about. They were even more educated about weddings than our hired wedding planner! The only thing they missed, was the last call for the bar at the end of the night, but can you blame the DJ, he was having fun with a packed dance floor and I enjoyed every song! Perfectly done DJ Sound! Thank you!

    Details matter...

    Me and Melissa were impressed on how they had every song we asked for. A "can-do" policy and never once did we feel like just another client. Our wedding was at the Ivy Hotel in Minneapolis and they brought the fun! Luke was incredible and obviously well knowledge in planning weddings. Our DJ, Dave was beyond incredible in engaging our families. We wish we could have that party again! You won't regret going with this company.

    The best DJ company!

    Attention to detail was paramount to our wedding. They did just that. They played my music selections, they played guests requests, and they were priced well below what they put into it. We also had uplighting that made our room beautiful and then when the dance came, went with all the other dance lighting and made the room feel more dancy and club like. It's an option I wouldn't go without. Thank you for doing such a great job!

    You can't go wrong

    When our other DJ service wasn't responsive, we looked for one that would fulfill our needs and wants. DJ Sound was more affordable and they kept us in the loop a lot. The day of was amazing. Music picked by DJ Luke perfectly, it was like he was reading our minds! THe lighting wen't with every song, not just blinking. We made the right choice after making the wrong choice and actually a blessing our 1st choice gave up on us but DJ Sound didn't and our wedding was more than we hoped for!

    impeccable attention to detail and expereince.

    After our 1st "budget" DJ backed out, and our wedding coordinator decided that her ideas were more important than ours. Enter DJ Sound Productions. They took control. listened, and did all that we asked and their coordination was much better than our $1200 coordinator who made me cry many times with frustration. A wedding can't be perfect, but hiring this company was the perfect decision we'll ever make and suggest all other do too!

    Wonderful DJ!

    DJ Sound was absolutely wonderful to work with. Their professionalism, detailed and quick responses, willingness to help, and affordability was truly unmatched. I also loved their customer platform. 10/10 would recommend this DJ for your wedding or any other event.

    Outdoor wedding was perfect

    Amazing service and dedicated team of experts! We had our wedding at our Home in Elk River, and DJ Sound Productions' Rocked it! The ceremony was perfect, the Dance was outstanding. They played every song that we wanted, they made all the announcements and most of all, out guests were thrilled and had a great time!

    We made the best choice

    What an asset to our wedding! They did everything with such exquisite detail, nothing was left out. From the 1st dance to the last second, our dance floor was packed. Our guests were raving about this service. We hired the perfect company and highly recommend them.

    Threatening my wife with "Theft, attempt to defraud, and slander"

    5 star review to hopefully show up high in their review list. They are straight up sending threats to my wife after yelling at her for "trying to get a free wedding" when she never even asked for a refund. Amazingly, none of our other vendors had any issues. Story below, buyer beware...

    Josiah made us start our wedding 17 minutes late because he couldn't find the section of the venue we were in (and didn't try to contact anyone within the venue or alternate contacts provided), then after getting to the section and setting up, we had to continue to wait because he had to update his computer.

    Three songs total were supposed to be played (and I need to emphasize this point - three TOTAL songs were to be played by Josiah. There was supposed to be seating music, but since we were anxiously waiting for Josiah to get set up, we told him to skip to the ceremony music!). The first song, the most important one, was never played. The second one, during the bride and bridesmaid's walk, was restarted for some reason, then after the second play of the song the music just sort of... stuttered off? Kind of like a techno remix of the song? Though I do have to admit - the third song during our kiss was perfectly on cue!

    We paid 700 bucks for three songs. Dude came late, didn't play one of those songs, and did a poor job with one other. You're probably thinking to yourself "man, that sucks, I'm sure DJ Sound Productions offered an apology, at least!"

    Luke at DJ Sound productions, when confronted, called my wife "petty", said that our "wedding wasn't disturbed" because of Josiah being tardy, and proceeded to blame her for miscommunication. During the call, he revealed that Josiah had been on mute in the background THE WHOLE TIME, and then Josiah and Luke tag-teamed yelling at my wife, not letting her speak, and putting words in her mouth.

    At this point, I know what you're thinking. We probably screwed up an email somewhere, wires were crossed, Josiah's a good guy he probably had a bad day, maybe we're just overreacting, etc. In fact, I'll bet dollars to donuts that very soon there will be a response to this review from DJ Sound Productions saying some of these exact things, and maybe even accusing me of "slander", as he did when he spoke to my wife.

    Here's the thing... I have videography to back up my claims, and documentation from DJ Sound Production's own systems (which they've now locked me out for some reason.... Funny considering I had access earlier today. It's okay though, I've taken screenshots of everything and exported all documents!)

    If you are searching for a DJ for your event, I implore you to reconsider purchasing services from DJ Sound Productions. If you have another DJ in mind, pick them. If you have a friend or family member that could do it, choose them instead. If you have a bluetooth speaker and Spotify, you'll probably fare better than hiring DJ Sound Productions.

    WE LOVE THESE REVIEWS!! Why? It shows that with the volume we do, a thousand plus weddings every summer, we always run into a Bride or two who create such unrealistic expectations just to get a free wedding. WE MAKE MISTAKES!!! But this wedding wasn't one of them. Giving this Bride ONLY wanted a free wedding, was not truthful throughout the entire comment. They wanted to cancel, but their contract stated they couldn't so close to the wedding. So they decided they would go forward to just complain afterword demanding a full refund. We presented Brittany with all the facts, and she still wouldn't listen, just yell. We had to calm HER down. So when facts are presented, and they know that a refund isn't warranted, they head on over to Google to slam the business. THE FACTS: Their portal said 6:00 start time. Why the Bride thought the DJ would start at 4:30 when she didn't pay for that is puzzling. ALSO, the DJ arrived, was ready to go at 6:01 (computer data proved this) Brittany and Eric were not done with their pictures until 6:20. We have a recording of Eric stating the night before, that the DJ is to call him when he gets there so the Groom could show him the way to the location. Brittany was asked to get us statements from the vendors, she did not do that. She was asked to provide other details, she did not do that. The DJ called the groom, 3 times that day! With no answer. The DJ arrived at 5:18, plenty of time to go at 6:00.
    We have seen tens of thousands of weddings over the life time of our company, and less than .001% write reviews. And its usually the ones looking for a free wedding that will write a bad review, like Brittany Montijo above. We have video of her wedding that went exactly as she told us. But in the end, we will respond to these reviews to show the public that with a thousand plus weddings in one summer, you are more likely than any other company to have a wedding that is out of this world when conducted by us!! Thats AMAZING! We employ the Best DJs in Minneapolis and St. Paul MN and still our services can't be matched by any other company. Whether you are looking for a wedding or party DJ service, you know you will be hiring the best when you hire DJ Sound Productions & Entertainment and that's a PROVEN FACT since 1999! Out of 1000 customers, 998 agree!!! ❤

    DJ Andre was outstanding! He will amaze you!

    Like everyone, we did our due diligence in searching for a DJ company. DJ Andre was a 10 star performance with the perfect play list. We submitted our own songs too and he played all of them and did an amazing job filling in the rest! Our guests were amazed at the talent this one guy has!

    When it came to the planning, they had all the music we requested. They had some cool features that allowed up to do our ceremony flawlessly. They were always in constant communication, not the nagging type, but the informative type that helped us plan perfectly. We are so happy and definitely recommend DJ Sound Productions to everyone!

    Worth every penny! Wow!

    We hired DJ sound for our wedding to do the ceremony and the reception. We checked out just about every other company on here. Either they were to "Big box" or they were one man bands. Although that may be OK for some people, it was not for us. We needed a company that gave their best at one price. NOT charging us for a better DJ. They sent their best alright! Not only was the ceremony spot on, our Guests really enjoyed all the music! Experience says it all. It's like they knew our family, without knowing us! That takes talent. Not a complaint about anything at all. Nothing. It was PERFECT and that's what YOU need for your wedding! We thought the price was right and figured it was once in our lifetime and better spend it to make sure that we have the best and DJ Sound is the best!

    The BEST DJ company in Minneapolis

    YOU HAVE TO HIRE THIS COMPANY! It's not a joke. They were amazing! We are music driven. And they know their stuff! Not to mention that the DJ they sent was outstanding. Their attention to detail was superb. Their knowledge to think of things that we didnt blew us away! They were even better than our $2000 wedding planner! She was a waste because the DJ picked up all the things that she didn't. Our wedding was a hit because of this company. Way to go DJ Luke and DJ Sound Productions. The BEST DJ company in Minneapolis!

    A HUGE asset to the success of our wedding!

    What an asset to our wedding! We had our wedding 11-2 in Minneapolis at the Marquette Hotel and they did a fantastic job! The grand march announcements were spot on and really good! This set the tone for the rest of the night and they kept my dance floor packed with a family that doesn't dance....or at least I thought they didn't! I recommend them over and over again to anyone!

    AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Not enough words to describe this company and their owner. We searched dozens of wedding DJ companies in the Minneapolis area, and choose DJ Sound Productions about two years back (before our wedding). They were almost "unbelievable" in what they had to offer. Too good to be true. But My Husband and I, we like a great challenge. So we went with who we thought was perfect. This company was it. And boy, did they prove that on the day of our wedding!

    Amazing. This company is highTech! Brandon & I got every dollar worth. We searched just about every Minnesota wedding DJ service in Minneapolis and we definitely chose the best. From their way of signing the contracts to the hightech equipment. We didn't want "another I-Pod wedding" or a simple "push play" kind of DJ or the "old guy" hitting on our bride's maids.....again. It was the small things that made this company perfect. From being able to call at 8pm to getting a few small details added on the online planner so that I could add that to my daily plans. No fluff and they pleased a very hard to please group. Outstanding. Thank you!

    We used DJ Sound Productions & Entertainment for our wedding in Minneapolis. We had them do the Ceremony and the reception. needless to say, they were spot on! The horror stories that we've herd about other DJ companies, not one problem was present. The ceremony was intricately detailed by our DJ (Luke) and the reception was amazing. Great music was played all night long. Not one song was inappropriate or unknown. The DJ helped us with everything from talking and reminding the photographer about the events coming next to the caterer so that announcements were done and our time line went as planned. The new sound system sounded absolutely crystal clear and our bridal party and family was on the dance floor virtually all night. my husband...actually danced.

    I cant say enough good things about this company. Our night was made even better because of this company. Would we recommend.....already did! Wow...great job guys!

    We used DJ Sound Productions & Entertainment for our Minneapolis wedding DJ and it was PERFECT! They were very responsive, very helpful, and the DJ was AWESOME! Old reviews from 4-7 years ago didn't mean much. it just ment that they are still in business and doing well obviously. We wanted a high end DJ but affordable. So we threw our hat in the ring and choose them and we totally made the right choice! Their sound was absoutely crisp and clear. Very high end sound....but, it should be for a professional DJ company. We didn't have a clown for a DJ and he played perfect music selections and had everyone dancing all night....never once was the floor empty.

    They helped us every step of the way, even answering my redicolous phone call at 11:00pm because I lost some information. They are very detail orientated when it comes to planning the day. We couldn't ask for any better of a company or those who work for it. We would definately suggest them to absoutely everyone....no doubt.

    D.J. Sound Systems has done all 4 of our weddings. Our first wedding was in 2001 and our most recent wedding was July of 2011. They usually send 2 guys to run the music. They have always been friendly, engaging, and know how to create a party. They do a wonderful job of working with the
    Bride and Groom prior to the wedding day to make sure the music is exactly what the couple is looking for.
    With all of our weddings we have had to end the party with dozens 50 or more people still on the dance floor. Couldn't recommend a better D.J. and we have seen lots.

    This is the best DJ I have ever heard at a wedding. The DJ service even provides dvd players for your photograph slide shows and will provide seamless music during the slideshow. The song choices are perfect and they teach how to dance along to the different songs. Very reasonable and will make your wedding night a blast.

    No other compair

    We took a chance as it's hard to trust any DJ company. So we went with one that was an actual real company, registered with the state of MN, and had real insurance as our venue required it and other DJs couldn't afford it, didn't have it, or wouldn't get it. We made the right choice and our venue even added them as a preferred vendor they were so good. That's impressive.

    Our DJ was nothing short of amazing

    One of the things we liked about this company was the fact that they pick the DJ for us. Meaning, they analyze our account and place one of their many DJs that mostly fits our wedding. And they did deliver! We never felt comfortable having to pick a DJ company, then try and look thru a catalogue of their DJs and then pick one AFTER hiring a DJ company. Any issues or concerns were addressed in a timely manner. Some emails were a day or so after we emailed, but they did answer my call at 10pm which I thought was odd, but great! That part really helped out. We felt over all, we couldn't have picked a better company for our wedding.

    Amazement in every level.

    We had them for our wedding in Lillte falls at the ballroom. Luke made planning so easy and put us at comfort. He was truly a blessing and godsend when it came to giving us options. Our guests danced all night!

    Why we hired them.....

    Why we hired them:
    1. An actual real company with employees, not subs.
    2. Real DJs that this is all they do. So they were always available to us when not at other gigs.
    3. Had the right insurance
    4. MANY venues we talk to recommended them
    5. They have been to just about every venue in MN
    6. Planning info was very detailed.
    7. The company rep, Luke was super awesome in answering the phone at 11pm.
    8. Had ALL the music we wanted AND that our guests requested.
    9. High quality sound. As musicians, me and my wife know shady when we see it, DJ Sound isn't that. Legit sound and audio.
    10. Most of all......prices were well below the what we should have paid for this service!

    The DJ was very nice and did whatever we asked of him. The price is good and you get for what you pay for. Good selection of music and ok lights great for a low key wedding. Over all I would pick them again.
