Highly recommend!

DJ Shamar did a fantastic job at our wedding. Before the wedding, he took time to understand what we wanted and ensure that he had all the right songs for the various events. He was very responsive to emails as well. At the wedding, he did a great job keeping the day flowing along with our day of coordinator, and he did an amazing job adjusting the music choices to the crowd. I would highly recommend him for any music needs!

Hire DJ Shamar!!

We could not have picked a better DJ for our wedding. DJ Shamar seemlessly blended our requested songs with his own selections throughout cocktail hour, dinner service, and on the dance floor, and kept the party going all night. So many of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. Not only is DJ Shamar great at what he does for work, he is also an extremely kind person and was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. We cannot recommend him enough!

Perfect Dance Party

If you want a good dance party, hire DJ Shamar. He had all of our guests boogieing, including those who say "I never dance." I literally didn't leave the dance floor all night. Thank you DJ Shamar!

Excellent DJ!

DJ Shamar did an outstanding job at my son's wedding. He looked at songs that were requested ahead of time and determined a vibe for the kind of music people wanted to hear, then augmented those requests with songs from his library. The playlist he came up with was from a variety of genres, styles, and decades, and was well received by everyone, regardless of age. The music was good accompaniment for dinner and when the dancing started the dance floor never emptied. DJ Shamar did not just play songs, though, he used his mixing board to great effect and the lighting system he used worked very well in the dance hall.

We were so happy that we chose DJ Shamar, I wanted my guests on the dance floor all night and he made sure that happened. My dance floor was packed the entire night. We had so much fun dancing with friends and family. My guests all raved about how much fun they had and how great the DJ was.

Wedding DJ

We recently hired DJ Shamar to provide music for our wedding reception and ceremony in Jackson. He is amazing! He was very fun and easy to work with. He responded to emails and text very timely. When our plans changed for venue he was more than happy to accommodate. My husband hates to dance but DJ Shamar took care of that!! We had a blast and so did the guests. You can't go wrong with hiring him he was awesome!!

Amazing DJ, DJ Shamar

Shamar was a last minute booking for us. He was able to help us get the wedding of our dreams. He played awesome music the entire time and changed a bunch last minute when we asked. I wouldn’t hire a different DJ. Shamar was amazing. We booked him last minute and he even gave up a club gig for our wedding. We had a lot of changes during the reception and he took them in stride. When the dance floor opened, he played some great music. Everyone had a great time thanks to Shamar!

You will have the best time ever!

DJ Shamar was AMAZING! I had a mishap with my first DJ two weeks before my wedding and when I messaged Shamar he responded so fast and was so accommodating, I instantly know he was right for the job. He had everyone dancing the entire night and play the best music! Honestly, I don’t think I’ve been to another wedding with a DJ as good. If you’re looking for a sign to hire DJ Shamar, this is it. Exceeded our Expectations!

DJ Shamar exceeded all of our expectations! He was extremely responsive and easy to work with. He was also very flexible at our wedding and any last minute requests were taken care of. The music the entire night was perfect and he understood our taste in music from the couple of times talking to him beforehand. He was able to set the mood and get all of our guests on the dance floor. Awesome DJ/MC! HIRE HIM!!!!

DJ Shamar Took the Night to the Next Level

I would highly recommend DJ Shamar. He did an incredible job at our wedding and was very professional and easy to work with. He has a great ability to read the room and set the exact tone we were looking for at each stage of the night. Having been a guest at over 30 weddings before finally getting to my own I can say with confidence he is a DJ who knows how to get everyone on the dance floor. Wedding DJ

DJ Shamar was absolutely fabulous!!!!! We highly recommend his services. Prior to our wedding we had several phone meetings (as we lived over an hour from his studio) and he came to each one prepared with notes, questions, suggestions, etc. On our final phone meeting he played clips of all of our wedding music to confirm he had it perfect. DJ Shamar was so organized and on top of our wedding details, even things we overlooked. I’m a total type A and DJ Shamar totally calmed my nerves. He was charming and funny announcing everything at our wedding and had most of our guests on the dance floor the entire evening. We got so many compliments on our music/ DJs. So many people told us they have never spent so much time on the dance floor at a wedding. We also needed DJ Shamar an hour later as our wedding was extended. This was no problem and he completely accommodated us last minute. If you’re looking for a DJ for an event / wedding look no further!!!!

Shamar is a pro

We are from Montreal, and were planning our wedding in New Hampshire and had no contacts or previous references to start from - it was difficult to trust anyone without meeting them. We exchanged with 4-5 DJs in general, and some seemingly big names could barely return a phone call... From the first email and subsequent phone call - Shamar was nothing but professional and attentive to details. We chose him and did not regret it.
Our guests had a great time and he really managed all the small details really well, down to the style of music we wanted, and the transitions between ceremony-cocktail-reception. He was flexible and a professional all the way through. His DJ booth set up is visually clean and classy and his uplights looked great. I could not recommend him more to anyone looking for a proper DJ for their entertainment.

Let me preface this review by saying I had a very particular taste in music and needed to find a DJ that could perform to my expectations. DJ Shamar went well above and beyond.

I found DJ Shamar after doing extensive research on Google for our wedding DJ. Being the diligent researcher that I am for anything I buy, I read many of his reviews and decided to contact him for inquiry. From our initial communication DJ Shamar was absolutely excellent. We spoke on the phone. He was extremely professional with a calming demeanor that made you think “yep, this guy knows what he is doing” It was apparent that his 170+ 5 star reviews preceded him. About 1 year before our wedding date we hired him and sent him our down payment. He advised that we would have extensive communication a month prior to the date but we had intermittent contact throughout the year. I was extremely impressed with his responsiveness. We set up a face to face meet one month before the wedding. We also set up a 30 minute phone call about a week prior to our wedding date to iron out logistics and the song list. Again, I cannot comment enough on how excellent his communication was.

We had an outdoor ceremony on a farm with the reception in the barn. We ordered the “Night to Remember” package. If you are having an outdoor ceremony I STRONGLY recommend you add the ceremony set up to your package. Both the ceremony and reception sets ups are very nice. The lighting and aesthetics are A+.
The sound quality of the speaker systems are pristine. WE DANCED THE ENTIRE NIGHT. It was honestly a night to remember.

DJ Shamar’s experience, professionalism, communication skills were an integral part in making our wedding day so special. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him. I will strongly recommend him to my family and friends for weddings any future events. Thank you Shamar!

DJ Shamar did our high school prom. I must say by far he is the best DJ we have had at prom for as long as I can remember. I have gone to prom for the last four years and this is the most fun I have ever had. His music selection was on point from start to finish, from the dinner to the end of the night. The dancefloor was packed all night. Thank you for making our prom so special.

If you are looking for a DJ, then DJ Sharmar is your guy! We hired him for an outdoor wedding and he was fabulous. He kept our guest dancing constantly. He was very professional. We had only hired him for 4 hours but the guests were having such a blast, we extended him to paly for another 2 hours. Extremely happy with DJ Shamar. Guests have asked for his name for a party of their own. Totally recommend! Thank you DJ Shamar for making our wedding day perfect!

Where do I start? DJ Shamar was fabulous from start to end. He met us a month before the wedding and went over all of the details, requests, timelines, songs etc. He was incredibly responsive for various questions. Most importantly, DJ Shamar helped bring my New Year’s Eve wedding vision to life. He had the most elegant lighting, fun photo booth and the dance floor was overflowing ALL night. I can’t thank him enough for all that he did to help make our dream wedding a reality.

All I wanted for my wedding was a huge dance party. And DJ Shamar gave me just that! He did such a great job picking music and keeping everyone on the dance floor all night. He met with my husband and I a few times before our wedding to make sure he had a good idea of what we wanted. I have also since learned, that my husband gave DJ Shamar specific instructions to play a certain song when he saw all my bridesmaids together on the dance floor. And he did it! Shamar was fantastic from start to finish. In our search for a DJ we considered a couple of the larger companies but found their DJs too cheesy. We weren’t looking for an MC with a wedding mix on his iPod, but an actual DJ who would focus on the music and do a good job. We met with Shamar several months before our wedding and he was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in learning about us and how we envisioned the music at our wedding. He’s responsive to all communication and very easy to deal with. He even called me a couple of days before the ceremony to play the first dance songs over the phone to make sure he had the right versions. He didn’t require anything of us on the day of, just came and set up his equipment (his lighting is beautiful, by the way), and then started the music during dinner. We had dancing from around 7:15 all the way until 11:30—I honestly wasn’t sure people would last that long but Shamar had impeccable song choices and never let the momentum fade. I would recommend Shamar to anyone looking for a professional DJ to provide a high-energy and fun environment for their wedding.

I hired Shamar for our company holiday party. He had everyone one the dance floor all night long. I was so impressed with how he gauged the audience and played music that made everyone happy. Prior to the event I sent him a long list of songs that was diverse in nature, and he was able to include it in the mix without any awkward interchanges.... Many of my guests commented on how awesome Shamar was, and one of my friend is seeking to hire him for her own event. He truly made the evening fun and helped make the night memorable for me and my 250 guests.

I found DJ Shamar on Google to play at my wedding. He was the first to reply to my inquiry and I was impressed right from the start. He is very professional, prompt and him and his team know their stuff about parties/music. I have been to over five weddings this summer, and DJ Shamar is by far the best wedding DJ I have experienced. My Wife and I had DJ Shamar for our wedding and had a wonderful experience. It would be safe to say that Shamar was the key to our wedding be such a fun time!

DJ Shamar creates a memorable experience for all. His music is authentic, and allows people to reminisce events more vividly through his varying music.
