We were extremely pleased to have Loren of DJ Rock My World work our wedding during the total solar eclipse! From the beginning he was very responsive as well as professional and knowledgeable at what he does. We had a lot of questions that came up throughout the whole process and he was very accommodating with scheduling meetings to answer our queries and put any concerns to rest. Loren was able to play any song or even any version of a song that we requested and made sure to prepare everything beforehand to make for a very seamless experience on our wedding day. He showed up exactly when he said he would hours before the event and made sure that everything was running smoothly at the venue. He can be as involved/outgoing or as reserved/passive as you would like him to be. Also, the online planning system for DJRMW was very easy to both understand and use to select exactly the experience and music that we wanted. Thank you so much Loren! -

DJ Loren was INCREDIBLE! He came to set up and check all things WELL before the ceremony, communicated consistently with us, and kept everyone out on the dance floor having an amazing time! We had some pretty difficult requests with portions of specific songs for both ceremony and reception, and Loren made it all happen perfectly! He cut the songs to the parts we liked and sent them to us beforehand to confirm, started and ended songs exactly how we wanted, and was overall so flexible and patient with us! We did an "athlete introduction-type" entrance for our bridal party, and Loren executed it better than we could have ever imagined! We cannot recommend DJRockMyWorld enough. I read the very few poor reviews from others and could not believe in a million years that they were true because Loren was just absolutely awesome to work with and made our day that much more special. Book him ASAP!! You will not regret it! -

Loren was an absolute blast at our wedding. We booked a little late, and also reserved his officiant services only a week before the wedding and he was so patient and accommodating.
The service he uses to get all of your info is so easy to use and absolutely relieved so much stress being able to just input all of that on the site. We gave Loren about 10 songs and he built the entire night around it. Absolutely amazing. -

As this was my second marriage, I felt I knew a little more about what I wanted from my wedding vendors. My first wedding was 10 years ago. I didn’t really know what I was doing in planning it, but we survived! LOL.
This time around I wanted to be sure and did more research of the vendors. I went beyond the first page or two of their online reviews. I was looking for vendors who had a majority of strong reviews. I know that their can be some “bridezillas” with questionable reviews. You definitely can’t please every one. I know, I work in retail. LOL. I very carefully looked at the vendors websites. I wanted to really get a strong feeling about the professionalism of the vendors. Like many brides, I’ve heard horror stories of weddings that were totaled due to one or two bad choices in vendors. Eric and I DEFINITELY wanted to avoid that.
After doing my “due diligence”, I decided to reach out to the vendors whom I thought looked good. Loren was not the first DJ I reached out to. I actually contacted 6 DJs. Two of them didn’t even bother to call me back. One of them was just very strange, after speaking to him. The other two either had prices that I thought was very overpriced, and seemed to just be interested in adding my wedding as a knotch on their wedding client belt. No thanks!
Soooo, that brings me to DJ Rock My World. Loren actually responded SUPER fast to my online request. I think he responded in like 13 minutes, which was impressive. When I got on the phone with Loren, I was ready for the sales pitch. However, I was surprised that he didn’t do that. SHOCK! LOL. Loren asked me to give him my vision for the day; basically, how I thought the event would go. After I did, he asked several questions regarding the guests, the type of wedding (we wanted a casual atmosphere), and more. At that point, Loren told us about the package he thought would fit our needs. It turned out to be the Gold package (ceremony and reception). Although the package covered 6 hours (I think), I asked he about purchasing extra hours. The event was at my parents’ house, so we could party as long as we wanted. Yahoo! Surprisingly, Loren advised me not to purchase extra hours upfront as he didn’t want me to pay for something I might not need. I appreciated that consideration.
Well, we signed up. I was able to put all my wedding details and wants into his online system. It was cool because I could specifically plan each part of our special day. Eric really appreciated this too. He’s an accountant and liked the detail. Also, about a month before the event, Loren called us and we went through everything on the system to make sure it was correct. That was great because although I put down the processional song I wanted; I didn’t indicate which version. I actually wanted the acoustic guitar cover version of All of Me, so that was a good catch on Loren’s part. :-)
As you can imagine, I was a bundle of nerves on my wedding day. So many things going on. It was a blessing that Loren got there super early. He got with our other vendors to ensure they were all talking and communicating. It was helpful, because it made me more relaxed and Loren handled the issue with the caterer being a little late very well with the guests. Whew!
Needless to say, everything went very well. I had guests during and after our wedding day comment on Loren’s professionalism and the AWESOME music he played to keep the dancefloor full. My mom even told me that she gave him a big hug at the end of the night to thank him personally. DJ Rock My World really exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend.

Loren was very responsive every time I reached out. He was always open to what we wanted and needed. This was both before, and during, the wedding. He played a great variety of music that always had people on the dance floor. -

He did an amazing job at being our DJ! He helped make everything run super smooth for the reception! He kept the enthusiasm up all night! He had a great selection of music when I didn’t specify what I wanted. He provided flip flops to the bridesmaids and bottle openers to the groomsmen which was a nice touch. He also provided these foam glow sticks that were so much fun to dance with. I am so thankful we hired him! He is the only vendor through COVID-19 who didn’t cancel on us last minute or give us any issues through the pandemic! -

He rocked our world! Loren was an announcer, a DJ, and his photobooth was a hit! Loren looked the part and did a fantastic job with customized announcements and a deep playlist with many unique songs. The Laurel Hall venue is spread out between dance floor, food, bar, and reception area. He worked the rooms like a ringmaster! Thank you,

Loren at DJ Rock My World was super flexible with our music choices, and adapted songs the way we wanted them to be played. Our guests were very happy, and definitely enjoyed themselves at our reception. He read the crowd very well, and has you fill out a very detailed questionnaire prior to your big day so that you get exactly what you want. We were very pleased with him as our DJ, and the pricing is unbeatable for the service you receive. -

DJ Rock My World was a great choice for our wedding. Loren was great to work with at every stage of wedding planning, and throughout the event. Not only did he setup and run the live audio during our ceremony, he also setup a fun and creative photo booth inside... in addition to DJing and lighting the reception! He arrived super early to the event and was professional throughout. Loren even went as far as providing the bride and bridesmaids a pair of sandals. I would recommend DJ Rock My World for any wedding. -

Loren did a great job at my wedding! He had everyone dancing on the first song played at the reception. He was on time to set up and even brought flip flops for the girls to use by the end of the night. I would definitely recommend to anyone else getting married. -

He helped our bridal party and location coordinator arrange the venue for the ceremony in between his own set-up time (even though he was only booked for the reception). Once the reception began, he made sure to check in with us before anything began in case the timeline had changed. On top of being very professional and having a strong work ethic, he was fantastic at keeping the crowd hyped! All in all, we highly recommend! -

They are very knowledgeable about How the wedding should take place. They were able to play good mix of music and get the people dancing! They were a huge help in keeping The wedding on time, and at one point Loren stepped in to help in all the chaos of trying to keep things going! He gave us the added bonus of being an impromptu wedding director! would definitely recommend and would definitely use his services again!

My partner and I recently worked with Loren and DJ Rock My World for our wedding in October of 2023. The organization was quick to respond, easy to work with, and was agile on the day of the wedding for last minute adjustments to the flow of the wedding.
It is clear that they are a professional group and excel at doing weddings. The platform laid out everything we needed to think about and even forced us to think about things we had yet to think through. The platform was user friendly and translated perfectly to our day of plan.
Loren was a kind and courteous member of our wedding day. As an LGBTQ+ couple, we had worries that vendors would not want to work with us or would push their personal beliefs onto our wedding. Loren was the exact opposite, which was a breath of fresh air. He masterfully handled our wedding and his energy was exactly what we wanted. We had asked for a DJ that would help keep the event running but we did not want a high-energy party atmosphere. He hit the nail on the head and did not disappoint. -

We spoke with John when initialing hiring DJ Rock My World, thinking that he would be our DJ. We were surprised to find it would be another couple that he had hired for our event. The couple brought on was effective and a good time, very caring to the day. A few of our must-have songs were not played, while some were played at odd timing. Overall, we are happy with the vendor, but I wonder if we should have been clearer with our expectations of the night's music! -

When I was looking for a DJ, I was drawn to DJ Rock My World based on positive reviews and a good price. I wish I would have chosen differently. Leading up to the wedding, I felt good about choosing DJ Rock My World, he was responsive, and we had a productive pre-wedding call. I was confident that he would do a good job. Upon meeting him, I was impressed. He had a fun personality, and was on top of it as far as guiding the event. He gave gifts to all of the bridal party which was a thoughtful touch. Once the open dance started, I was excited. The first few songs were great, and exactly the vibe I was going for. And then It all went down hill... All of a sudden 1, 2, and then 3 line dance songs played in a row after I specifically asked for none of them. He announced he was about to play another before I rushed up and told him not to. He changed directions and played a different song. The speakers were doing weird things and even had that awkward loud screeching feedback moment. There was also a YouTube Ad that played in the middle of a song!!! After that, some songs sounded weird, and then the unthinkable happened. The music cut out. About 10 minutes passed with no music. I was frustrated, but understanding. I knew he was probably stressed and embarrassed and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Finally, it came back on and I went up to him to get an explanation. He did not apologize or explain, just blew it off like no big deal. The music was on the rest of the night, but then he started jumping onto the dance floor with lights dancing.... even after I said I wanted low involvement.... It was a lot... After the wedding, the DJ's flaws were one of the main things people talked about which angered me. It was a perfect wedding, and I couldn't get that flaw out of my head. He emailed asking for a recommendation, so I emailed back my concerns about the evening. Instead of responding with an apology or an explanation, he again deflected and just responded. "Thank you. My pleasure." This angered me even more. I urge brides not to hire him. I never wanted to write a bad review, but his lack of listening skills and it-is-all-okay- attitude and lack of admitting fault is something I cannot condone. There are probably better, more thoughtful DJs out there. -

Vendor provides lots of options to customize your day, but doesn’t follow instructions given. We loved how many choices there were, but he seemed to follow whatever he wanted and didn’t stick to the directions given. -

Communication was lagging. We gave him edited cuts of our songs for the reception to make it easier on him, but he failed to use them. Our first dance was a fiasco as a result. Audio quality during the ceremony was horrible. Lots of cutting in and out and volume was super low, making it hard for guests in the back to hear. During our reception, he just shuffled songs we requested and let it run through. We could’ve just shuffled the playlist ourselves for that. -

LONG REVIEW :The first vendor I hired for my wedding was DJ Rock My World. I signed my contract with him on 6/10/2022. At that time, we paid him in full for his services to be rendered at our 9/2/2023 wedding. Before booking, we spoke to Loren personally over the phone and enjoyed his personality and knowledge. During our conversation, he said that he had 3 DJs within his team available each night for weddings. He also stated that since we were booking more than a year in advance, he would more than likely be the one to handle our event. Once we booked and paid, we did not reach out to him until 45 days prior to my event because I had not heard from him. On 7/20/2023 (Thursday)I called and left a voicemail for Loren explaining I would like to talk to him to go over our details and expectations for him at out wedding. I had not heard anything back, so on 7/24/2023 I called and left an additional requesting a call back to go over details. On Wednesday 7/26/2023 I still had not heard back and was getting frustrated at this point. I decided to email Loren. I have attached the email thread to this review as well. 7/26/2023 (Wednesday)Loren responds back and answers only one of my questions, and says my DJ is Kyle and he will be reaching out. 7/28/2023(Friday) I still had not heard from Kyle, so I reached back out to Loren via email letting him know that Kyle had not reached out. I also followed up a second time via email, and asked for his contact information so I could reach out. Loren responded back stating that Kyle was setting up for a festival and would reach out to me Sunday 7/30/2023. I will admit I had little faith this would actually happen due to the lack of communication, but on Sunday I did receive an email, however it was from an email address I did not recognize, GOODTIMESPROFESSIONALAUDIO (Email thread is attached to this review) the email stated he would be assisting me at my wedding. At this point, I'm confused, so I ask if he works for Loren or if he was sub contracted out. He responded and let me know that he had been subcontracted by Loren on 7/22/2023. NOW I AM FURIOUS. How in the world could I pay for a DJ more than a year in advance, only for him to sub out for my most important day!!! I instantly reached back out to Loren to voice my disappointment in him, and his lack of culmination. I read the contract and saw that there was a line stating he could do this, however he didn't even tell me!! I even asked if I could contract my own subcontracted DJ and just pay the difference so I was happy and the nerve of him to respond with "I'm in my contract rights, and no I don't feel comfortable with that". ITS MY WEDDING. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT COMFORTABLE!!!! He forgot about my wedding, scrambled to find a sub only because I called to work out the details, then ignored my phone calls, and proceeded to give no apologies, no empathy, no cares for me, my feelings, or my wedding! How unprofessional! The DJ he subbed for my wedding was grossly under qualified, under my expectations and did not deliver the level of service I paid for. He said he knew how to MC-WRONG-it was so dry and lifeless, my 8 year old would have done a better job. He played the anniversary game wrong, after stating he knew how to do it. He didn't play any of the music we sent him and requested him to play during dinner. He didn't test his equipment prior to our ceremony and the guests could not hear the first part of our officiant. He had a whole system shut down (I don't even know how that happens) and delayed our entry into the reception by 15 minutes. He did not blend songs, just dry cut them with awkward pauses... the list goes on and on!!!
If I could give no stars I would!
DJ Rock My World and Loren-if you would like to discuss this matter over the phone, I will gladly take your call, even though you failed to take mine.
Please please please future brides, beware of this DJ and his less than reputable practices -
