DJ Prashant is an Amazing DJ

Amazing DJ, highly recommend for all weddings. He played a great set of songs for all of our song choices and genres. He mixed the whole time and added an amazing beat and transitions between songs. We had a fusion wedding and he covered all genres of different music fluidly. The dance floor was never empty all night, and he kept the hits rolling all night long.

Great, professional, flexible

DJ Prashant was a joy to work with throughout our wedding process. Beforehand he took several calls and helped us choose music and timings. He provides a generic timeline/schedule that we then used as our master timeline for ourselves!

We had a Hindu/Christian fusion wedding and the music was on point. Not only that, but he mic'd up our Pastor and provided all of the speakers and equipment for 3 separate areas. DJ Prashant is first and foremost a professional and you can rest easy knowing he will handle everything calmly. The staff he hires are awesome as well and know their business.

For music selection he will provide music if you do not want to choose, but he is 100% willing to play only the music you want. This is not a DJ who has his own version of events, he will do it YOUR WAY!!! For a fusion wedding this was critical as several other DJ's told us that they would pick it out and read the crowd. Prashant said he could do this for us if we wanted, but would also play the songs we chose.

Well, we ended up providing a massive playlist of music for him and he picked out and played the songs appropriately. A huge list of Hindi music, 90s rock, top 40, and slow songs. The dance floor was flooded the entire time and the music and lighting was on point.

There were apparently a couple of different technical difficulties that arose, but not a single guest ever knew. DJ Prashant has several backups and options in case things go awry and he handled things like a pro! We, the bride and groom, only found out after he joked about it after-the-fact!

Incredible DJ team, absolutely fantastic!

Couldn't be happier with the full team - DJ Prashant's team (DJ Rocky, Gabriel, and Jas) brought the party to all three of our wedding events! Everything about each set was spot on: perfect song selection, ability to read the crowd and keep people on the dance floor, mixing mostly Bollywood songs with other music to perfection, and having a great time themselves. I couldn't imagine anyone else doing as good of a job, let alone a better one. We'd give a 10 star rating if we could - absolutely loved it. And the team was super easy to work with and very collaborative throughout the process. We trusted them with the most important events of our lives and they delivered even more than we had hoped for. Loved it!

DJ Prashant was great to work with! He was friendly, responsive, punctual and a thorough professional. He was the DJ for our Sangeet and he was helpful in creating the mix for the dance performances. He played good songs during the games session and took recommendations on the fly during the open dance floor.

Incredible experience

Found DJ PRASHANT through a friend of ours. We used him for our Hindu wedding ceremony and wedding reception. He did incredible! Responsive and very friendly DJ

DJ Prashant hosted our Hindu wedding events this past weekend and he absolutely crushed it! He was extremely professional when we first contacted him and very accommodating to all of our requests. He even took the time to research a live stream setup for us so our family in India could partake in the wedding ceremony virtually! I would highly recommend him for your future events!

Our only hiccup was the audio during the father daughter video kept breaking up which took away from the importance of the moment.

Exceeded Expectations

DJ Prashant was amazing. We had him for our Sageet, Wedding and Reception. He was very professional and easy to work from the beginning. Even our last minute changes were done with ease. Once he started playing music, we did not want to end the night!! All of the guests really enjoyed variety of songs he played, and were requested. Amazing day and night for our wedding

We had Prashant and his team for our wedding in September 2019 in Naperville. It was a fusion wedding, and he did a great job. Prashant is very easy to work with, and he knows what he's doing. Through the Baraat, ceremony and reception, everything was perfect. I highly recommend Prashant for your DJ needs for your wedding.

Best Dhol and Dj out there.

Very good DJ!

Prashant did an EXCELLENT job! Some of my guests from my wedding reception said he is the best DJ they’ve ever seen. I compared him with another DJ who was at least $4,000 more expensive, and I gotta tell you, I’m so happy I saved my money and went with Prashant. We heard about DJ Prashant from another wedding, we never actually met him or heard his stuff in person. However, many of our family and friends said they enjoyed him at weddings. We then looked into his music/dj samples and pricings on his website, which it was so easy to use because he has an easy instant quote on his website. He was so easy to talk to prior to the date of event, and really laid back. We knew we liked him from the minute we talked to him. The day of the wedding he did an amazing job, always kept the crowd going, we had people dancing on the floor all night. He did a great job mixing the genres we asked for. Very happy to have gone with DJ Prashsant, made our wedding a blast!

This is the DJ you want!

DJ Prashant is one of the most skilled and genuine DJs I know. When I was searching for a DJ for our Indian/Punjabi wedding, I wanted someone that would mix on his own terms to keep the dance floor packed. I didn't want to provide him with every single song to play. I wanted him to improvise and be creative. We love to dance with friends and family. For our wedding, we did not want a moment where the dance floor was even remotely empty. Dj Prashant did not disappoint! He kept the dance floor packed all night! All of my family loved his mixing and he even took requests and played them almost immediately. Very accommodating DJ and I cannot thank him enough for making our wedding weekend one of the best ever. I highly recommend that you book DJ Prashant for your next event! The lighting system was on fire for both the sangeet and wedding reception nights. He also killed it at the Baraat. We absolutely cannot thank him enough!

Dj prashant was awesome! We hired him for my brothers wedding in Chicago. He was extremely professional and pleasant. Even beforehand during preparation for sangeet, he was readily available and really was so organized and the program went flawlessly. DJ Prashant knows his music. From the moment I reached out to him to help me with my dad's 70th birthday party, he was quick to respond, answered all my questions, and listened to what we needed. We had specific song requests since it was after all a birthday celebration for an older man and crowd, but he was so quick to read the dance floor and change it up as needed to keep everyone entertained. He is really worth every penny. It was so nice to hear that our guests complimented our choice in DJ, which helped confirm my decision to hire him. He's also reasonably priced for what you get. DJ Prashant did a fantastic job at our American/South Indian fusion wedding. Even though our ceremony music was complicated, he called the week before to go over the steps line by line. At our reception, he did an amazing job flawlessly mixing Indian with American songs and our guests said they have never seen so many people on the dance floor! We worked with DJ Prashant for a fusion Indian/American Wedding in July 2018. He was terrific for all our events...Sangeet, Baraat, Wedding, and Reception. His choices of music, both Bollywood & English, was terrific and we had our guests dancing till the very end of the event. I bet everyone would have been dancing for another couple hours if the event was longer.

Our reception program was complicated, but with his help went well. He has 2 wireless microphones, a great set of speakers, and helped us connect the audio to our laptop, which was projecting to our screen.

He is a very nice guy, easy to work with, and reliable. I have no reservations in recommending him to anyone! Thanks for helping us put on a great event DJ Prashant!

o DJ Prashant was absolutely wonderful to work with for our Mixed Indian/American Wedding! To tell the truth, my husband and I are terrible in terms of knowing music and who plays the songs we like or the names of those songs. Add to that, we were extremely worried about how we would mesh a playlist that caters to 50% American guests and 50% Indian guests of all ages. About two weeks prior to the event, I sent a list of songs after watching YouTube for an hour of what style we liked and described the ratio of Indian: American music. I assumed DJ Prashant would play X number of Hindi songs and then American songs the rest of the night. But he did one better, he used Hindi backbeats on American songs and really got everyone on the dance floor. Many guests stayed on the dance floor the entire time from 8-12 PM. He included some nice dance lights as well. It was truly a dance party! My husband and I could not be happier! In addition, he was wonderful to work with! He welcomed our questions and requests to make changes to our contract throughout the process. I would whole-heartedly recommend DJ Prashant because he’s very reasonably priced compared to competitors, reliable, offers prompt responses, and he was really able to read the crowd and make changes as necessary!

Prashant did an amazing job with all of the music at our wedding!! We had an Indian-Irish-Hindu-Christian fusion wedding and he did an awesome job seamlessly blending all of the music to make it fit perfectly with our theme while keeping the entire crowd out on the dance floor all night!! We got SO many compliments on how the wedding all came together and how much fun people had at the reception and we owe a huge thanks to Prashant for helping make that possible!! Prashant is a great Indian DJ in Chicago, but he does an excellent job with American music as well. We had quite a long song list including American oldies and he was able to pull off the entire playlist beautifully. Prashant was amazing! We used his servies for our Mendhi based on recommendations from friends and reviews online. We were looking for someone who could mix our music tastes - Bollywood and Electronic. Prashant was very prepared and professional. He asked us for a list of songs we'd like to be played and actually reviewed the materials we sent him. He wasn't one of those DJs that just hits play and sits back for the night. He was very invested in his work, accommodated requests from guests, and mixed our music tastes even better than we had anticipated! The music throughout the night was perfect - it kept the dancefloor packed for the entire night! Overall Prashant does phenomenal work and has a great attitude. It was a pleasure working with him. We booked Prashant for both nights (sangeet and reception) of our fusion wedding in Chicago this summer, and he absolutely nailed the type of mixes we were looking for. He also went above and beyond, creating custom mixes for us prior to the wedding week for the sangeet so we could practice more seamlessly.

We hired DJ Prashant for our Hindu ceremony and reception in Brookfield, IL.

Leading up to the big day, we sat down with Prashant to go over what we were looking for and it seemed like and understood our vision and style. He is also educationally trained in sound engineering, so that was a big plus.

Before the wedding, we had several special requests such as mixing us a first dance song, which he was happy to do for us, going above and beyond what he was contracted to do. He was also helpful with any questions regarding our timeline, suggesting songs and helping with add ons (bharaat, dhol player, father-daughter dance.

On the day of, he was very prompt and professional. Our guests loved the upbeat bharaat music and elegant ceremony song selections. The priests microphone was perfectly set up and at just the right volume.

The receptions is where he really shined. We had a diverse crowd of both ethnicity and age, everyone was able to jam out on the dance floor to songs they were familiar with. Every inch of our dance floor was packed until it was time to shut it down. Prashant was great at the energizing the crowd and keeping everyone excited. He also perfectly followed our timeline, with many performances, speeches and entrances. To keep everyone organized, he had a great form where we filled out our favorite songs/artists and any specific songs needed for performances or entrances.

Overall if you're looking for an Indian wedding DJ in Chicago or the Chicagoland area, we strongly recommend DJ Prashant. He was one of our favorite vendors, and our guests keep raving about our music.

Prashant was absolutely amazing! He played the list of music we asked and was very cooperative and organized. He was very easy to communicate! and He was on time and an absolute pleasure to work with me. He played mostly Punjabi and hip hop which is exactly what we asked for. My husband felt the same exact way about him. During the Bharat, he played the right music by feeling the vibe and the requested songs to keep the crowd going. One of the best Indian DJ in Chicago.

I was going back and forth about having a DJ at my wedding reception, but I'm glad I did, and I'm glad I chose DJ Prashant! DJ Prashant was an excellent addition to the day. He was well organized, polite, and professional. He is also a super nice person.

I really appreciated how he had everything organized on forms before the wedding and went over it with me line by line. He also told me that he would be able to make sure the schedule was being followed and my reception was timely and flowed very well.

I would recommend him for your wedding reception needs, whether you are having simple reception with music in the background, or a full out dance party.

DJ in Prashant was great for our engagement celebration in Milwaukee, WI. Though he is an Indian DJ in Chicago, he was on time and set up with plenty of time to spare. His background as a live musician and sound engineer was so helpful as he monitored our live band's sound, and then when it came to Garba/Dandi Raas, he kept the party going with a great mix of evergreen songs and newer Bollywood hits. Prashant was professional in every way, and I highly recommend him!

DJ Prashant was awesome!! We had the chance to review his work as an Indian Wedding DJ in Chicago and he definitely did not disappoint. The guests were dancing until the very last dance! Great mix of Hindi, Punjabi and English music. Loved it! :)

Dance, Dance, Dance... yup this was the story of our reception until 1:30 am. DJ Prashant had the crowd going all night long! He definitely knew how to keep the crowd going throughout the night He knew what type of music to play to evolve all the different types of crowds! Thank you very much for keeping the night going and making our reception the best!!! He was super easy to get a hold of, responds to emails before it leave your fingertips! He was a one stop shop, he provided our dhol player, horse, projector, live band for garba, and photo booth. His prices are super reasonable and works with your budget.

DJ Prashant was a great DJ for our wedding. If you are looking for an Indian Wedding DJ in Chicago, he is the guy. We have an eclectic music taste, me liking Latin music and my wife wanting 90's hip hop and Indian music, and DJ Prashant did a great job mixing it all together. He was very professional from the beginning. He provides a clear list of flexible packages at good prices. He provided music for the Baraat, sound for the wedding, and music and sound for the reception. It all went off without a hitch.

We hired DJ Prashant for our baraat, wedding ceremony, and reception at the DoubleTree in Oak Brook. Absolutely amazing and phenomenal! He took care of everything for us so at the end of the day we could enjoy our wedding day without having to worry about the small details. He was very professional to work with and had a great line up of music at our reception..definitely knew how to keep the crowd going. He was very open to requests from our friends and family throughout the night as well. Very prompt and responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommended if you need a DJ for either a wedding, reception, sangeet, or just a party. All of our friends and family were impressed as he turned it up throughout the night!

DJ Prashant was amazing. My husband is Mexican and I am Indian. He was able to accommodate both sides of the family very well, even during the Baraat. He really follows your timeline and is on point with every little detail. I also had two violinist performing for my bridal entrance and a live guitar player in the reception player. They had nothing but the best to say in regards to his professionalism and flexibility. Thank you for the amazing work!!!!

I highly recommend DJ Prashant for an Indian Wedding DJ in Chicago! He was recommended to us through a friend (he was the DJ at her wedding) and everything she said about him is true! He was prompt in his initial responses, provided us with a well laid out contract, was quick with editing our slow dance song, offered us plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and gave us sound feedback on song selections and song beats. On the day of our reception, he provided an excellent mixture of Bollywood and American music, which had amazing sound quality.

Our guests had a blast at our wedding and had wonderful things to say about his music and services. I am positive that my family members will use him for the upcoming weddings.

DJ Prashant is excellent! He was recommended to us by a friend, who attended a wedding that he DJed for, and we were not disappointed. He is very professional and we appreciate that he sat down with us prior to the big day to go over our playlist in detail. He was able to provide us amazing music for all of our wedding events (Baraat, Ceremony, and Reception) and he stayed true to all of our requests. As my wife and I were planning our wedding from out of state, it was important to us to have someone who was easily accessible and quick to respond via phone or e-mail, which Prashant definitely was. Dj prashant did an amazing job. He DJ'd our sangeet/mehndi. Had all three hits. Even stayed longer for us when we didn't want to get off that dance floor. Would recommend to my friends.

Great DJ. He really understands how to run a party. I went over the entire program with him before it started and he was very organized and assigned me tasks to complete to make it a successful night. He also played great music during the entire night, and really knew what to play based on the mood of the audience. His mics are great, and even though one mic did not work, he did not panic. He made this night run very smooth. I recommend you all to consider his services.

DJ Prashant is our chosen family DJ. He played at our wedding five years ago, at my brother's wedding 3 years ago, and at my recent baby shower. Each time we knew we had made the right choice. The dance floor was packed at my wedding until the very end! DJ Prashant is incredibly easy to work with and listens to your suggestions. He is reasonably priced, dependable, and has the most updated Hindi and hip hop which is our perfect mix. DJ Prashant was a phenomenal part of our wedding ceremony, I would highly recommend him as an Indian Wedding DJ in Chicago. What I liked most about working with him was how professional, thorough, and detail oriented he was before the event. We had 2 phone conversations after filling out his spreadsheet with our Sangeet, Baraat, Wedding and Reception details, and in addition to following through on a number of very specific requests regarding our unique ceremony, he also had thought of things such as the dandiyas for Raas that otherwise would have been annoying to figure out elsewhere. He was great about working with our families who didnt want us as the couple to know what they would be performing to during the sangeet, and did a great job being flexible with specific requests of our performers on the fly. People had a ton of fun at all of our events and he was a crucial part of the process.

Prashant did a great job DJing at our wedding reception. Our guests danced all the way till the end of the event - Prashant's music choice was great to keep our guests dancing. Our wedding was a fusion wedding and the groom's side being American were not familiar with Indian songs - however, Prashant chose good mix of American and Indian songs that they enjoyed dancing to.He also helped us make a mix of some dance songs for our dance performance. We also used Prashant for our wedding ceremony and he was great with the transitions of songs for the bridal group entrance.

Prashant was amazing at my fusion wedding this month. He seamlessly mixed Bollywood, Tollywood, and English songs, and was really flexible in taking requests from our guests. Our venue had a complex layout, and he was able to work around it to ensure that the sound was great and the bass was bumping. Many of our older guests appreciated that he played oldies Bollywood love songs during dinner, and our younger guests definitely appreciated the hits. Prashant does ask you to do some preparation prior to your event, but the end result was worth it. 10/10 would recommend.

DJ Prashant was one of our best decisions for our wedding events! He is an excellent Indian Wedding DJ in the greater Chicago area. He was quick to respond to emails/texts. After talking to various DJs, we felt we immediately clicked with Prashant and that he would be the most versatile person to manage the music at our event. Prashant did an excellent job from start to finish. We had a very mixed crowd (multiple ethnicities and across age groups) for our various events. Prashant kept the entire crowd engaged with his foot tapping music. Prior to our event, he helped us through the process and selecting songs. He also requested us to make detailed notes of specific songs and announcements we would want to make, which he followed carefully. He asked us for our top 20/40 songs for each event and made sure he played those, mixing them up with his own selection. He made sure that he would switch the tracks and pace to make sure the entire crowd had a great time and keep the party going in full force for our Sangeet, Baraat and Reception night. I would highly recommend him, and would definitely request him to DJ our event in the future!

We used DJ Prashant for our engagement party and he did a great job!! He was really professional to work with and it was easy to coordinate everything with him, even from out of town. He started early and even stayed late, letting our guests continue dancing. He played a great mix of Hindi, Punjabi and English music. Everyone had an amazing time!!

Indian Wedding DJ in Chicago- He is pretty good in the sense that he plays a mesh of Indian/Bollywood/Punjabi/English songs. He is slightly more expensive than other DJs I researched; however, he makes up for it with his experience. I would recommend him.

DJ Prashant - July 2019 Wedding

DJ Prashant provided us with DJ and MC services for our Sangeet, Wedding Ceremony, and Reception. He was very responsive in the planning stages before the events to ensure that we were all on the same page on what was required for each event.

During our Sangeet and Reception, DJ Prashant did a fantastic job keeping the dance floor animated throughout the night until the very end. All the music which he played were met with great response from the guests and had rave reviews.

We did encounter a few technical difficulties, however, during our Sangeet, where one of the dance floor lights did not work; and during our Wedding Ceremony where the priest's microphone did not work and the background music was a little too loud for the audience to hear what was going on.

Overall, we had a positive experience with DJ Prashant, and would recommend his services for any event. We thank him greatly for making our wedding an absolutely memorable one!

Great Ceremony, Terrible Reception

I'll preface this review by stating that DJ Prashant was the DJ for my sister's wedding in 2017, and he was absolutely fantastic. Super professional, kept the dance floor going all night, and played the right traditional indian music at the right time during the ceremony. When it came time to plan my wedding, it was a no-brainer to go with Prashant.

When I reached out to him, he unfortunately was unavailable, but one of his teammates (DJ Sahil) was, but I elected to book with his company regardless. He was easy to communicate with and professional.

We booked a dhol and baraat music, which took place in downtown Chicago. This went basically perfectly, and was super fun and high energy, and the highlight of the day. During our ceremony, the mike for our priest cut out intermittently, but the right songs came on at the right time, so I wasnt terribly frustrated. For our cocktail hour and dinner, we requested a mix of bollywood and western oldies, but gave creative license, and this too was successful

However during our reception is when things declined. DJ Sahil skipped my uncle-bride dance and went to speeches instead (though we got to do the dance after the first speech), the sound and volume during many of the speeches was patchy and inconsistent so a lot of people didnt hear them at all. When open dance came around, he played exactly what we requested AGAINST (no "group dances" besides the Wobble), missed songs we had requested (Chaiya Chaiya), and played the music weirdly quietly, interrupted songs after 30 seconds to play a different one, only to go back to the original song 5 minutes later. At least 10-15 members of my family left early because they thought the open dance music was so bad. Thankfully with significant guidance from a cousin who hand selected most of the songs, the dance-floor was able to get back on track so that the last 1.5 hours of our reception were awesome

I had hoped that music was something that I could have just given a vibe for rather than to have spent the time and energy making an entire playlist for. I suspect our dance-floor would have been consistently much better if we had just made a Spotify playlist ourselves and plugged in our phones to the sound-system.

Overall, I would recommend book with DJ Prashant for their dhol/baraat services, and if he himself is the DJ for the event rather than one of his employees. If he is not, be prepared to make the playlist for the entire wedding and wedding receptions rather than just a vibe list

Disappointed experience

I was very disappointed with service . Given that we had a contract before the pandemic and verbal agreement . I had put a substantial down payment . All of my vendors were happy to accommodate (except DJ Prashant ) and were nice enough to refund the amount on services that they were not able to provide. DJ Prashant was never willing to accommodate our situation, he only suggested I can use my credit for event for a romantic dinner or baby shower / first birthday via phone but later backed out . Last week, I reached out to use his service , as I was told I can reschedule in the future in this time frame. He was very rude . He not only did not honor his word and let me have my event but he also was never willing to accommodate or give me a partial refund for what was never provided to me. If I could give a zero rating I would . I honestly have nothing but positive ratings and things to say for people but I sincerely don’t have anything positive to say for his code of ethics and conduct of business. He seemed more interested in the money than provided me with a good experience . Save yourself a headache and look for someone more professional.
