Chris (DJ Phlipz) was absolutely amazing for our wedding reception! He was recommended to us by family members and friends who also hired him for their wedding and we are so glad we followed their advice. He played every single song we requested and his MCing was great. He kept the flow of the evening perfect!
The energy was through the roof all night and the dance floor was so packed that literally no one was sitting. His photobooth assistant was also very helpful in making sure everything went smoothly when out guest took photos at the booth. My husband and I are so happy with how much fun everyone had. If you want a DJ who is professional, a great MC, and brings awesome energy for your event, this is the one! -

Best Wedding DJ + Photobooth
We truly could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From start to finish, DJ Phlipz was absolutely amazing. He captured exactly the vibe we were going for and kept the energy perfect all night long. The dance floor was packed, and the whole night and next morning guests wouldn’t stop talking about how great the DJ was. He also provided the B+W photobooth, making everything that much easier.

No one left the dance floor!
We just had our NYE wedding and multiple people have come up to me and told me that was the most packed/fun dance floor they’ve ever seen at a wedding!!! The music and mixing was so good no one wanted to leave and eventually the venue had to turn the lights on everyone haha! DJ Phlipz is so professional and really understands what is needed to make everything run smoothly. P.S. GET THE PHOTOBOOTH! There was a line almost all night for pics. -

Working with Chris, also known as DJ Phlipz, was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He was actually the very first vendor we booked right after securing our venue, and we knew from that moment we were in amazing hands.
Chris was attentive to every detail and always quick to respond to our questions. He truly went above and beyond, even bringing our dream reception entrance to life with his projector, which made the moment unforgettable. He worked closely with us to curate the perfect music for both our ceremony and reception, making sure the vibe was exactly what we envisioned.
On top of that, he made the process so easy by offering additional services like a photobooth, which our guests absolutely loved. He even included extra photos and videos of the night, which were such a wonderful surprise and meant so much to us. Chris was dependable, enthusiastic, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect.

We are so lucky to have been connected to DJ Phlipz through a mutual colleague. He was easy to communicate with from the first time we reached out, and throughout the course of our wedding planning. He provided his input on how to time and edit some of our song selections, gave us reminders to add photos and details to be displayed at the wedding, and most importantly, gave our guests a great party. "Best DJ ever," "All hits, no misses," and "I was going to leave earlier but the music kept pulling me back" were some of the comments we received the next day. Choosing Chris was one of the best decisions Jane and I made for our wedding, and I cannot recommend him more highly! He was so helpful and thoughtful during the planning process, asking for input and working collaboratively with us. He was very flexible, and his services have a lot of customizable options (e.g., photobooth backgrounds, color of DJ set, lighting). He was a great emcee, making sure the evening went smoothly and bringing a lot of smiles and energy to the evening. And most importantly, he absolutely killed it on the dancefloor for us. He brought an immense level of energy and had everyone on their feet for the entire time, incorporating our song requests and building on those. His lighting and sound systems were top notch and well synchronized with each other, turning our event into a full-blown dance party. We also had external musicians (saxophonist, drummers) and he was able to work easily with them and incorporate them into his sets. We got a ton of feedback from friends and family after about how professional and amazing our DJ was, and it is all credit to Chris! -

The best vibes for our Wedding!
First, Emily and I want to thank Chris again for creating the perfect atmosphere at our wedding, from the beginning to end!
Emily and I live in Seattle, and planning a wedding in Washington DC wasn’t easy. Chris made it very seamless for planning a wedding on the opposite coast. After searching the internet and Instagram, we came across DJ Phlipz’s Instagram page and the “Where You Are” package was exactly what we were looking for.
He texted me immediately after I emailed him and we hopped on a call the next day to go over details. Chris and I chatted throughout the year and always made time to text or call. Chris made the process very easy, we filled out a questionnaire, uploaded images and videos to a Dropbox (the multimedia DJ Booth played these during the reception), and created a Spotify playlist for the vibe we were going for.
Ceremony: Wireless mic’s for the officiant and I. Chris hooked me up with a white wireless mic which was a nice touch since my tux jacket was white and not visible in photos. Emily didn’t wear one, my mic was able to pick up her voice during vows. Chris played the 4 songs we picked for the grooms entrance, processional, brides entrance, and recessional.
Cocktail Hour: Chris was able to quickly move his equipment to the cocktail hour space and kept the vibes going with our playlist and his own added touches there.
Photobooth: This was a hit! The guests had a great time using the Photobooth when taking a break from the dance floor. Chris had an attendant there at all times to assist and print the photos. It was also easy for him to add our logo and wedding date to the photo strip. A link was also shared for us to download.
Reception: The entrance song was the perfect volume and the right amount of bass for the size of ballroom at Hotel Washington. Our sweetheart table sat directly across from the booth, it was lovely to see photos and videos of our memories played on the DJ booth as we ate dinner. We chose the white podium which also came with white wireless mic’s for speeches. Chris did an amazing job with the timeline and announcements. The best part was when he announced everyone to get out their seats to take a group photo which immediately opened up the dance floor. Our Spotify playlist was made up of Latin hip hop, rap, and R&B, Chris did an amazing job reading the room and worked his magic to keep the energy up, the uplights were a nice touch as well while the ballroom lights were dim. It truly felt like a dance party! Even after the last song, everyone chanted “one more song!” because we didn’t want the party to stop!
DJ Phlipz went above and beyond! We recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or for any event! -

Knowing our choice of DJ would make or break our wedding reception- picking a DJ was one of the hardest parts of our wedding planning process.
I found DJ Phlipz through recommendation from current DJ’s I knew I could trust. He exceeded my expectations and even helped map out a reception timeline that ensured I’d have enough time to party on the dance floor with all my guests after all the reception events I had planned. Essentially saving my wedding- had I not done so I would’ve had no time on the dance floor.

The Only DJ for Your Wedding!
Chris was an incredible DJ for our wedding! We saw his work at two other weddings and didn’t even consider anyone else. He walked us through the whole process- he’s prepared for everything and has multiple setups to cater to any style of event. His setup and uplights really elevated our space. We also had the Photo Booth, which was so fun for us and all of our guests! Chris (DJ Phlipz) was amazing to work with! We had an unfortunate situation when our original DJ could no longer perform on our day. Chris thankfully was available a month out and hopped right in seamlessly. He was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. You can tell he truly takes his job seriously and wants the best for all his couples. I can't say enough good words about him. Every suggestion, decision, etc was done with care and respect. Chris was AWESOME!! He helped make our day so perfect starting from the first planning phone call to the very last song. Chris made our music and intro planning very easy, he took all of our requests (even some where we asked him to merge specific parts of a song together for wedding party introductions) and executed everything so perfectly. On the day of, we were running behind in our schedule but he adjusted to the new schedule flawlessly. DJ Phlipz was recommended to us by a DJ friend who wasn't free for our wedding, but had done our friend's wedding. A DJ who recommended a DJ?! We were excited. As the day neared, Chris walked through our entire ceremony and reception with us and flagged details we hadn't even considered. He executed our music vision flawlessly, had super fun uplights, and played songs that kept people dancing. A number of people told us we had the best wedding dance party they'd ever attended! Plus, we had him DJ the ceremony and he did that EXACTLY as I wanted it - fading in and out at all the right moments. It was really amazing. Lastly we used his photobooth company and loved that a lot. The attendant was pretty incredible - patiently telling folks to look in the camera all night. We decided to have our guests stick their photos in a guestbook and Chris was totally on board with printing an extra copy for that. SO yeah, can't recommend DJ Phlipz more highly. -

Since our wedding, one of the most consistent things we have heard from guests is that it was the best reception party they have ever attended. Chris worked with us to make a playlist that reflected our music taste, vision for the evening, and personalities. He created a flow to the evening that kept people entertained, engaged, and on the dance floor for four hours after dinner, dances, and speeches. DJ Phlipz managed to seamlessly transition from ABBA to George Michael to Juvenile to NSYNC without missing a beat :D We also had the glam photobooth and there was a line for it the whole night, it makes such a classy takeaway for guests. Chris was a DJ at a family wedding and we knew we had to have him at ours. From start to finish, Chris created a seamless and personal experience. During our calls, we felt like we were talking to a friend who truly wanted to make our day special. Our family and friends could not stop complimenting about how much fun they had. We got a lot of "It was bop after bop and I felt like I could never leave the dance floor."
We gave Chris a playlist as inspiration and he did an incredible job mixing in songs that we thought may be difficult to transition into. He also provided lighting which created such a fun atmosphere for our guests.
His MC skills were also top notch! Not every DJ can also be a great MC, but Chris has a natural charisma that shows how talented he truly is. If you're considering Chris, don't even think twice. He is 10000000% worth it. -

Finding the perfect wedding DJ was high on our priority list and I am so glad we came across DJ Phlipz, aka Chris. He was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process, from the initial consultation call, to questions between, and finally the last planning call days before the wedding. Chris was patient, flexible, and ultra-responsive. We booked Chris for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception; we also added the photobooth (loved the ease of use and high-quality prints). Other highlights about working with Chris include: 1) he'll show up to your wedding matching your dress code (sleek tux for our Black-Tie optional wedding); 2) has an aesthetic DJ booth that isn't large or overwhelming; 3) Chris has an extensive list of former clients' wedding playlists which helped a lot in our selection of ceremony songs and other specific "walk-up" or "walk-out" songs. Lastly, Chris just gets it. Book him and you won't be disappointed. One of our guests posted a video and somehow Chris got all of our guests moving and grooving in the most non-cheesy conga line -- smiles and joy on everyone's face! We didn't know about it at the time because we were outside taking pictures with the photographer but loved seeing the after-videos. :) -

Stop your search. Hire this guy immediately. We were drawn to Chris because of his work as DJ PHLIPZ and had been excited to have him DJ our wedding ever since we hired him, but the actual day blew even our high expectations out of the water. Chris was very communicative throughout the whole process and helped make our planning experience go smoothly, and on wedding day he created the MOST fun dance floor for us and our guests. The dance floor was packed all night long as Chris actively transitioned between songs that fit the vibe we requested perfectly. He's not a DJ that will just play a full song all the way through, he reads the room and makes sure he's delivering on tracks that will keep everyone's energy up. Everyone was raving about how much fun they had dancing all night, and we can't thank him enough for facilitating the night of our lives. -

Energy All Night!!!
Chris was everything we could imagine and more as a DJ for our wedding. He was the first DJ we interviewed and we cancelled all other interviews immediately afterwards. We knew he would bring exactly what we needed, and he proved us right. He was the utmost professional and was incredibly easy to work with. Any obstacle or request, he took in stride and would often times make recommendations to improve the timeline of our reception. Even up until the night before, Chris was helping with mixes to make our entrance more seamless after experiencing a challenge during our rehearsal.
Where do we even begin for the wedding? Chris' music brought HYPE to our wedding night. Our reception entrance was ELECTRIC. His floor lights were incredible and added to the energy. Chris was also able to feature our traditional cultural music that brought guests of all ages to the dance floor. Chris took our modern music playlist and made it his own. There was so much energy on the dance floor at all times. The highlight of the night was the C02 gun. 11/10 would recommend going with the C02 gun for an unforgettable memory.
The photobooth was as big of a hit as the music. Chris' team was extremely easy to work with during the wedding and helped manage the chaos. The pictures turned out great and there were so many options to choose from!
We cannot recommend Chris enough to any couple looking for an exciting DJ to not just play music, but also be the voice of your wedding. He set the tone for our wedding and let us leave everything on the dance floor. Booking Chris was easily one of the best decision we made for our wedding! -

Chris is experienced and professional. The “All In” package covered everything we needed from ceremony/cocktail hour/reception sound, dance floor lighting, and Photo Booth. Chris met with us multiple times to discuss the wedding day music snd schedule, and offered sound advice from his extensive experience. We didn’t have to keep track of the timing- we were actually ahead of schedule! He also did an amazing job emcee-ing our large wedding of 200 and matching the energy to our guests. Every single guest was complimenting us on the DJ, playlist, and Photo Booth. Nicole was so helpful and patient with our energetic guests, and did a great job with the Photo Booth despite connectivity issues with the wifi. Communication, professionalism, and vibes were UNMATCHED!!! -

First part was communication and DJ PHlipz was so chill and communicative.
I had a few complicated logistics matter and he helped coordinate with my planner to get it all done with zeros issues. He timed the music perfectly for every part.
The man can read a room! I got multiple compliments from my guests about how good the music was at cocktail, at dinner and whole evening. Dance floor was lit. Even a huge chunk of family we did not expect to dance was up and partying.
Third, all the extras to create the perfect ambiance, the uplighting made the space feel so fun and the photo booth was such a hit with all sorts of backgrounds and designs to choose from.
He was such a big part of the entire mood and atmosphere, it some of the best money I spent.

We can't recommend Chris enough! He's that special mix of hyper professional combined with warm and fun to make your big day run seamlessly, while keeping the party going all night. He was super flexible as we had a few changeups on the day of the event and ran the show — from ceremony to last dance — perfectly. We also had some special music needs, wanting to intersperse Persian music into the mix and he came at the ready with our song selections, expertly mixing them into the music lineup. He also was generous enough to mix a special father-daughter dance at the request of the father of the bride. DJ Phlipz is ahhmazing! I used to dance my heart out to his sets from the old days at the Park on 14th and Lost Society. He has sooo many years of experience in the DC/VA nightclub scene and wedding arena, so I knew I wanted him to DJ at my wedding, and luckily he was available. The music he plays will get the party started and keep the party going. He was so easy to work with, and communication was open and ongoing. On the day of, he was prompt, there were no technical difficulties, and the uplighting he provided really set the mood for a great party. And the music was exactly what we asked for! They say the DJ is one of the most important vendors at your wedding - not only do they bring the party, they create the ambience, they help keep your timeline, and make all the important announcements which is exactly what Chris did. Dj Philipz was terrific from beginning to end. From the planning process to back and forth emails when I needed help making decisions. He was quick to shift and make sure it went smooth.
He had took us through so many music genres and even did a LIT moment for the bay jamming all the Bay Area classics. I would recommend him without a doubt. If you want a wedding that ends up being a party, this is your guy!

I hired DJ Phlipz AKA Chris for my wedding on May 15th and I would hire him all over again if I had the chance. He is not only an excellent DJ, but an upstanding and professional host! We absolutely LOVED having Chris as our DJ and using ShowPow Events for our photo booth too! 3 days before our wedding, our officiant got COVID but we still wanted him to be part of our ceremony. Needless to say we were a little stressed out on figuring out how we could somehow stream him in remotely. Chris was super helpful with his suggestion, hooked up the sound, and everything turned out perfectly! The photo booth was SO much fun and such a hit. The props were great and the attendants were super nice! We ended up having a second wedding banquet the following weekend and because the photo booth was such a hit, I reached out to Chris to see if we could reserve it again on such short notice and he made it happen! We hired DJ Phlipz for our wedding and he was amazing! One thing I really appreciated about him is how professional he is. It was important to me to hire someone we could count on but also a really talented DJ. I loved that DJ Phlipz is an actual DJ he is extremely sought after. I know that seems weird to say but I noticed a big difference when interviewing your typical “wedding DJ’s” verse actual DJs and DJ Phlipz is a unicorn and happens to be able to do both. He knows how to read the crowd and has great energy and is just a beautiful person inside and out. You will not be disappointed, to this day our friends comment how amazing our dance floor was and it was all thanks to DJ Phlipz!
