Woefully Below Expectations
DJ OG never took initiative to fulfill minimum expectations of customer service throughout the process (March to November), requiring the Bride and Groom to follow up on multiple instances to ensure that he was not dragging his feet. On one occasion, he justified his slow responses to emails by referencing his numerous jobs, including being a real estate broker and his porta potty rentals. The excuse he made was one that could cause someone to question his commitment level and ownership of his professional reputation.
While he asked us to fill out various surveys, including song requests and playlists, he ignored all of it on the day of the reception, as well as the event timeline set by the day of coordinator.
He arrived in wrinkled jeans and very casual looking dress shirt, which seemed to indicate a lack of professionalism. He played the wrong song for the first dance 2-3 times, even after the bride and groom yelled from across the room which song to play. He failed to make several announcements throughout the ceremony, including the cake cutting and the bouquet toss. His speaker placement hindered a table of wedding guests from hearing their own conversations, and he failed to make adjustments even after someone from the table requested that he lower the speaker volume.
When confronted with a list of unmet expectations post reception, he justified his performance by claiming he was under the weather (which seemed dubious, considering that he A) did not wear a mask and B) did not indicate this before the reception), and said that wedding guests seemed to enjoy dancing and that keeping the photobooth open one hour longer than originally promised justified his rate.
The poor customer service provided, his blatant disregard for our requests and numerous errors during the ceremony, and finally his lack of contriteness, ownership for said mistakes, and unwillingness to make amends should be taken seriously into consideration if you care about staging a memorable event. Find someone else- a teenager with an iPad would have provided better service.

Thank you for your review and I wish y'all well in your endeavors. For those reading this review this was a wedding I was feeling not 100%, not sick but mentally drain. I do run several businesses and email is not my fastest to respond to. I'm faster at responding to text/call.
As far as ignoring song requests provided, etc i did play the majority of the songs and the ones requested by guests and y'all had an amazing time dancing. Hell the groom was breakdancing on the dance floor and people where jumping up and down for certain songs.
As far as the clothes i wear, i will always come in jeans, shoes and a dressing shirt since i need to set up quick and unpack quick after events are over. I usually do everything on my own for DJ/Photobooth Packages. I'm majority behind the DJ booth so what i wear is not important and i like being comfortable.
Yes, i played the wrong song and it was quickly changed to the correct one, problem solved from a simple mistake looking at the coordinators timeline which through me off. We are all human and are bound to make mistakes and it was resolved. The way you are taking it is like the story with Albert Einstein where he solved several problems correct and one problem was incorrect. "Despite the fact that I analyzed nine problems correctly, no one congratulated me. But when I made one mistake, everyone started laughing. This means that even if a person is successful, society will notice his slightest mistake. And they'll like that.
So don't let criticism destroy your dreams. The only person who never makes a mistake is someone who does nothing." After the fact, i did everything else that was asked for me to do on the timeline and it was completed plus the last song of the night.
As far as making the announcement for the cake, the time line said "Angela and Sung Cut first slice of cake" didn't say for me to announce it and all of a sudden from corner of my eye the cake was cut. As far as the bouquet toss, i did make the announcement and waited for the photographers to be ready before i announced it and played the song as requested.
As far as speaker placement, the correct spot for the DJ is at the center of the dance floor and not to the side where theirs tables near. Of course, its going to be a bit loud and the music was only 1/4 up during dinner/cocktail etc. I even placed my booth at an angle towards the dance floor so hopefully most of the sound is in that area. As far as that guest to lower the music, i did lower it when they requested it.
You are also forgetting i started roughly 30mins earlier than the scheduled time when guests entered the reception and left the photobooth open longer. Printing paper is not cheap and its a curtesy i do when i do events. You are most welcomed.
Also i did not provide services for the ceremony, only the reception. Ceremony was done by the venue.
You received a bargain with my DJ and Photobooth Package of roughly 5 hr DJ and 3 hr photobooth for only $949. A teenager with an ipad wouldn't be able to afford the equipment i have for DJ/Photobooth or the other services i provide. DJ equipment value for this event: $7,000, Photobooth equipment value for this event: $5,000. Good luck finding a teenager to do everything off an ipad.
