  Best. Dj. Ever.

  Having Josias as a DJ at our wedding was by far the best part of our night. Josias did a wonderful job keeping the crowd engaged and excited, that by the end of the night we had multiple guests telling us it was one of the best weddings they had attended. Everything went perfectly at our wedding and a big reason was because of Josias being such an AWESOME DJ!! He was constantly checking in and making sure we were happy and on time. He also knew how to read the crowd and play songs everyone would enjoy. I’d recommend him 10x over to any couple looking to have a blast at their wedding.

  Amazing DJ

  Josias was absolutely amazing to have as our wedding DJ/MC. The whole process was seamless from the online portal to select since preference and upload the schedule for the day to the actual wedding. The comment we kept getting over and I er again was how good the music was! If you are planning a wedding, you definitely need to check and see if he's available!

  Best DJ and Hype Man!

  DJ Not Your Average Jo was a pleasure to work with! He is timely, professional, and worked to fulfill all of our needs for our wedding day. Before the wedding we were able to utilize his online portal, which was super helpful for planning. The music had us on the dance floor all night and Jo was a great MC as well and kept everyone hyped! We were so happy to work with DJ Not Your Average Jo and highly recommend his services.

  Fantastic DJ

  Josias was fantastic! We met briefly before the event to go over out expectations and Josias completely understood our needs. At the event, he was friendly, professional and really helped keep our more casual yet fun wedding event. We wanted someone who could read the room with being told, and Josias did not disappoint. I would highly suggest him, for any event in which you need someone who will to above and beyond to make your event the best.

  Amazing DJ

  Highly highly recommend this DJ. Very professional and fun. Day of wedding he walked around and asked guest what music they want to hear. Great lighting and music made the wedding even better.

  Jo is a wonderful person and an excellent DJ. Our July 31, 2021 wedding was originally planned for May 30, 2020, and we postponed the wedding twice. Over the entire time we coordinated with him- over two years- Jo was super responsive, patient, and kind. He was personable and gathered information about us to understand our preferences both regarding music but also regarding our personalities. The day of the wedding, he totally smashed it, reading the room exactly right the entire time and communicating with us the perfect amount about what we wanted throughout the course of the night. He was a fun and engaging MC as well. I would highly recommend him- we got lots of compliments about him from our family and friends!

  Perfect Wedding

  DJ Jo is the best!!! Played all the songs we wanted and kept the dance floor packed all night. Was a pleasure to work with through the whole process and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Made it all super easy, no hassles. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Hea traveled from Pittsburgh all the way to Chicago to provide his services. Throughout our discussions of playlist, itinerary and final details Josias was always transparent, professional and patient from the beginning. His large knowledge of music accommodated a diverse group of people and our guest continue to compliment us on our DJ. Josias’s easy going and animated personality also made it a joy to work with him. Working with Josias was the easiest part of our wedding planning and our wedding day ran smoothly with him as our DJ. I highly recommend DJ Not Your Average Joe to anyone who wants a memorable wedding night and smooth wedding planning.

  He dj’d my wedding a little over a year ago. Played a variety of music that kept the people going. The jams kept getting better as the night went on. From line dances to salsa. He has it all and will cater to your taste.

  Not only was he extremely professional, he truly made our reception so incredible. So many of our guests complimented the songs, and just made it so fun for all of us! I highly recommend him for your wedding. You won’t be disappointed!

  I was very please with this DJ. He set up everything way before the event. He also played great songs that had everyone dancing and up the whole time. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to have a great time on the dance floor at their wedding!
