We had the absolute pleasure of having Pete Goslow as our DJ and musician for our wedding at Botanica in Oceanside, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very start, Pete was incredibly thorough in his preparation, making sure he understood our vision, music preferences, and the flow of the event. His attention to detail was truly remarkable, ensuring that every moment was perfectly timed and executed. On the day of the wedding, Pete provided incredible flexibility, seamlessly handling song requests and adjusting to the energy of the crowd. He kept the atmosphere lively and fun while making sure everything felt natural and personal to us. His professionalism and talent as both a musician and DJ made a huge impact on our special day, and we received so many compliments from our guests, especially for his live singing during cocktail hour. Pete Goslow was outstanding and played a huge role in making our wedding such a great experience. From the beginning, it was clear how much pride he takes in his work. Our planning call with him was incredibly thorough. He walked through the entire timeline with us, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure he understood even the small details about how we wanted the night to flow. After that conversation we felt completely confident everything would run smoothly.
One of the things that sets Pete apart is that he offers both DJ services and live acoustic guitar. We had him play guitar during our ceremony and cocktail hour at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, and it added such an elegant touch to the evening. His playing created a beautiful atmosphere and made those parts of the day feel really special.
As the DJ for the reception, Pete was fantastic. He kept the night moving on schedule and worked seamlessly with the venue and the other vendors. Most importantly, he understood the exact vibe we wanted for the music. The dance floor was packed all night and our guests had an amazing time.
Everything went exactly according to plan and there were no mistakes or surprises. We were 100 percent satisfied with his work and could not have asked for a better DJ and musician. We had such a blast with Pete as our wedding DJ at Twin Oaks venue in San Marcos. We are a more calm couple and he matched our energy perfectly, every step of the planning process felt so easy and the intimidating task of working through a playlist and timeline was incredibly smooth with Pete’s help and guidance. He was easy to contact, super quick to respond, his playlist building software was easy to use and covered all the needed bases, and he was so encouraging throughout the whole process. Our entrance song and parent dances needed some editing to fit timelines and Pete did a great job, as well as sending us samples for approval or any needed edits. Our venue really relied on the DJ to keep the day moving and the timeline on track and Pete was so easy to work with and kept us on schedule the entire time without us needing to stress, he was sure to cover everything before the wedding so that we could just enjoy the day. He also took care of microphones and audio for our string quartet at the ceremony, and it was all perfectly done. His playlists for dancing were perfect, and we have genuinely had guests tell us about how fantastic the music was and that they had a great time on the dance floor. We really appreciated Pete’s expertise and professionalism and his flexibility in finding a package that fit well within our budget, and we absolutely recommend him for any wedding or event.Pete Goslow's reply:

Amazingly Talented Musician, DJ and Emcee
We can’t say enough good things about Pete! Prior to our wedding, Pete took the time to meet with us, get to know our music taste, and helped us build a timeline for the evening. He was awesome to work with, and he created the perfect vibe for our wedding! Our guests were so complimentary of Pete too.
We are so grateful he was part of our day & we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a Musician, DJ and Emcee!

My now wife and I had such a great experience from start to finish with Pete.
From the beginning Pete was responsive and open to all of our requests, which were many. He stayed responsive and prompt throughout the entire planning process--something we can not say about a majority of the other vendors we hired.
The predominant request was not to play the same old tired wedding songs (Shout! YMCA! Don't Stop Believin', Bruno Mars, Black Eyed Peas, etc.), and stick to a pre-made list of songs.
My wife had four separate playlists of 50s-60s for dinner, 70s rock for cocktail and then 80s, 90s, and 2000s for the third hour and current songs for the last hour. These were each also 4 hours long as she has trouble narrowing down her choices (except who she wants tO marry thankfully ;) ). We sent these to Pete along with a "must play" list of songs from each of these but then gave him free discretion to play songs from our ready made lists based on the dance floor mood. He did great by every measure.
We were married at The Havens in Vista, CA. For those not familiar, the ceremony takes place outside and requires an escort by golf cart as absolutely no walking is allowed. Although we had a string quartet for the ceremony, Pete still happily set up all the microphones and speakers for the ceremony. He even mic'd the string quartet (his suggestion as we did not know it would be needed). He then performed acoustic guitar and sang beautifully on the patio outside the reception hall during cocktail hour. Finally, his third setup was indoors for the dinner and dancing portion. Pete arrived right on time and we observed him hustling and sweating to move all of the equipment. There were never any issues with delays or setup.
The other big request was that a certain family member not ever get a microphone. Not to try and sing during cocktail hour and not to make a speech during dinner. Neither of these happened thankfully and the family member was an issue as our coordinator dropped the ball completely on keeping her out of the bridal suite.
All in all Pete was the perfect choice and we would highly recommend him for any even you have. he is outstanding at his job and we are really grateful to him for making our wedding so much better by following through on all his promises. -

From day 1, Pete was a blast to work with. He was very communicative and provided clear instructions for what he needed from us and what he could provide. We had him play classical music during the ceremony and a playlist inspired by our favorite songs during the reception, and on the day of everything went incredibly smoothly. Pete was wonderful he customized our wedding music options. I had a unique request to have my late father’s guitar played along with my wedding march as I walked down the aisle. Pete was able to blend the sound of a very old acoustic guitar and digital sound track together beautifully! He played guitar and sung during our cocktail hour and DJ’ed the reception. Pete is an absolute gem to work with! Hands down one of our favorite parts of our big day! Music was such an important part of our wedding as we wanted the music to set the tone for our guests and ourselves throughout the different parts of the day.
Pete is so personable, making our phone meetings to plan our special song choices and coordinate emceeing the ceremony and transitioning our guests from one part of the wedding to the next so easy and pleasant! He is clearly very experienced and a knowledgeable resource for anyone who isn’t familiar with planning large events and music. He provided valuable consultation and advice on the logistics of DJing, emceeing, and creating a good flow for the timeline of the event. It gave so much peace of mind knowing Pete was so familiar with our venue (Botanica in Oceanside, CA) and so knew best placement for him to be situated!
Not only was the service Pete provided during planning amazing, his talent as a musician was undeniable! He performed live music singing and playing his guitar in addition to DJing throughout the entire wedding. Pete performed live our processional song and our first dance song. Two very special moments for us made into life long memories! He slowed and softened the processional song’s tempo and feel so it fit the moment. He went above and beyond for us by learning a new song to him that is special to us and customizing it so that we could slow dance to it! We wish we had a recording of the entire song as he sang it so we could enjoy it whenever we want, but we’re happy to hear pieces of his rendition in some videos from guests. One of our favorite moments of the entire wedding was dancing to Pete’s performance!
We can’t wait to recommend Pete to anyone looking for a DJ or musician so we can see him and enjoy his talents again!

More than just a DJ
Pete was amazing!! So happy I booked him for our wedding. He helped through the whole process and made it so easy to figure out what songs we wanted to play, etc. We also had him play guitar during the ceremony which I absolutely loved. He's so much more than just a DJ!Pete Goslow's reply:

Pete made our wedding day the best day of our lives (and most fun) at Ethereal Gardens in Escondido! Our guests could not get over how great the music/vibes were and everyone danced all night long. At one point, I went over to Pete and asked him not to play any slow songs because we were all having too much fun dancing, and he seamlessly worked with my preferences/requests. My husband and I loved Pete from our first phone call; his chill vibe made me feel relaxed and calm throughout the entire process. He also plays amazing live music and sings, which we wanted for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We spoke to many different DJs, and Pete was an easy choice. The planning process was very smooth and his system for selecting songs was clear and helpful (it gave top wedding song ideas which was nice). He also gave us ideas for ceremony songs/first dace songs because we were not very confident in this area, and they turned out to be perfect. It's clear he knows what he is doing and is highly experienced, because he even gave small suggestions such as "I would suggest having me play guitar during the sand ceremony so it is not awkwardly silent" which turned out to be spot on. Pete also allowed my brother- and father-in-law to perform a special song, and provided a guitar and microphone for them, as well as a sound check earlier in the day. His sound system is top-notch, and our ceremony video turned out great thanks to his microphone/speaker system. He is willing to work with whatever you want to make your wedding dreams come true. Pete is also a great emcee; he speaks just enough to get the crowd going and pump the energy up, but does not over-talk or take over the room. He got EVERYONE on the dance floor. Best day/night ever! Pete was great from start to finish. We loved that he offers a mix of live music and DJ services - it was like getting two experiences for the price of one. From the beginning, it felt like we were in good hands. He is super fun to talk to and has some great stories to share - plus, he clearly knows what he's doing. My husband and I got married at Tivoli Italian Villa in SD, a place Pete had a lot of experience with. When going over timelines and song requests, Pete gave his professional opinion when helpful, but was respectful of our tastes and catered to exactly what we wanted. We started with instrumental music during the ceremony and cocktail hour, then switched over to DJing for the reception. We had some special requests: some traditional Jewish elements like dancing the Hora; PLUS, some less than traditional elements... a full-on metal-style mosh pit. Pete accommodated these requests with ease. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Pete was amazing to work with! We had him play guitar for our ceremony and cocktail hour before DJing the reception and I have to say it added such a special element to our day. He is such a beautiful guitar player and having the option for live music was amazing! I cannot recommend working with Pete enough! When planning a wedding, there are so many details to consider and vendors to manage. Pete made music something I didn't have to think twice about. We shared our preferences and taste and he provided thoughtful recommendations, shared information regularly and was incredibly organized so I didn't have to be. Many of our guests have told us that music was one of the best parts of our wedding and I have to agree. Pete read the room and kept the dance floor packed all night! Best Wedding DJ/ artist
Pete was awesome to work with. He spent time on the phone multiple times trying to figure out music for each part of the wedding. My mom wanted to have a say in the music and he was willing to listen to her and figure out the best selections. He was more detail oriented than me and really helped me think more deeply about the wedding and even gave some good advice. He played the guitar beautifully at the ceremony and kept people dancing all night long !! He is very talented and definitely has a ton of experience. Phenomenal service..forever grateful to have Pete Goslow at our wedding!
We hired Pete Goslow to be the emcee (entertainer), musician, and DJ at our wedding. He was HIGHLY recommended to us by a lady at one of the venues we toured. We ultimately decided to get married at one of Trademark's beautiful wedding venues, Twin Oaks Wedding Venue in San Marcos, CA. Bob and I were planning more of a non-traditional wedding and were looking for acoustic vibes with strong vocals, along with someone who had tremendous experience and who could help us bring to life our vision. When we heard the amazing things about Pete, we knew we had to book him. He ended up being the first vendor we officially booked. When first reaching out to Pete, he was super friendly and very informative, which made us feel relaxed and excited! After filling out a service survey, looking over pricing, and seeing if our date was available, he sent us a very detailed contract, outlining everything in a super clear manner. We were given access to a his website (WHICH HAS TONS OF HIS MUSIC SAMPLES) where we could select our music and make playlists. Then, we were able to make our custom timeline together and schedule an informational phone meeting where we went over all our questions, our timeline, our song ideas, and every other little detail. Leading up to our wedding day, we had ZERO worries which was AMAZING. On the wedding day, Pete played some live music, along with playing music from our playlist in a DJ setting. IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Everyone commented on what an outstanding musician/DJ/emcee he was. HE is also so professional and just the nicest guy ever! He was also such a fun emcee to have. He even included his own unique idea by asking our parents a special question in front of everyone at the reception. SO SWEET. He also was able to SECRETLY sneak in a special 50th anniversary dance for my parents and an extra father-daughter dance (for my husband's sister who got married during covid). EVERYTHING went EXACTLY as planned... flawlessly, which really made Bob and I grateful and everyone had a blast thanks to Pete’s awesome music. He also provided lighting, speakers, and microphones, which was super cool. We really didn’t have to worry about a thing because we knew we were in good hands with Pete! If you have any confusion or hiring a musician seems overwhelming to you, choosing to hire Pete will take ALL those worries away because he really has everything SO well thought out and he is MUCH more than just a musician. He is the total package!!!!! As long as you know your vibe, your music, and how you envision your timeline, he puts everything else in place. A Wonderful and Unique Wedding Music Experience-Kayley & Narayan Pathi
My husband and I got married in San Diego in September of 2022. Our venue, Vista Valley Country Club (now Havens), listed Pete as a preferred vendor for wedding music/DJ/emcee. He also came highly recommended by our wedding planner, so we decided to set up a meeting early in our planning process (July ‘21). I can confidently say, Pete was one of the best parts of our day and I can’t recommend him enough. From our first initial planning meeting, it was clear he was a true professional, in that he was able to give us many helpful tips and suggestions from his experience, but he also was accommodating to our specific requests. He checked in with us often and we were able to develop a solid plan early on, which was helpful to our overall planning timeline. The form we used for song requests was easy to use, and we were able to create two playlists (dinner/dancing), as well as choose any songs we did not want played. He also worked very well with our coordinator in creating seamless transitions between events that made our day run very smoothly. One of the biggest highlights of the day however, was our first dance; Pete sang and played a beautiful rendition of “I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song.” It was amazing, and truly made our day. After the dances/dinner, Pete really brought a great energy to the dance floor and kept everyone out there dancing until the night ended. All of our guests raved about how much the dance floor rocked, and still talk about how much fun they had. Meaningful music and a fun, high energy dance floor experience was something that was really important to us, and Pete truly delivered that.
To top it all off, we found out after the fact that Pete generously gave a ride to two of our guests who were unable to catch an Uber. Truly can’t thank him enough for the entire experience!Pete Goslow's reply:

Madisyn Sent on 12/14/2023Spectacular, Marvelous, The Best DJ/MC You Could Ask For!
We got married at Twin Oaks House & Garden in San Marcos, CA. We absolutely loved the venue and everything they could offer. We ultimately found Pete through our venue from their preferred vendor list. I always wanted to have a DJ who could not only DJ but also play an instrument. My dream was to have both a DJ and a band but we quickly learned that was not in our budget. However, when we came across Pete, we were ecstatic to learn that he played guitar! It was like a dream come true. He could DJ for the reception and play beautiful covers (and his own music!) during our cocktail hour and pre-seating. After having a brief initial conversation with him, we knew we just had to reserve Pete for our wedding. It was a no brainer!
Throughout the entire process, he was so helpful and attentive. He was quick to reach with questions, and would always make sure that if he couldn't give us a complete answer right then and there that he at least would text us and say "hey, I got your message, when I have more of a minute I will make sure to get you those answers," which was so nice of him to do. When it came to our meetings with him, he was so well experienced in the industry that it was like he knew all the answers to our questions. Any concerns or questions we had, he had the answer and if he didn't have an answer, he certainly would find us a solution.
For my wedding processional walk, I had a very specific way I wanted to do it, with pauses in the song lining up with pauses my dad and I would take so that when we arrived at the top of the aisle, my husband would turn around and we would have our first look. Pete helped us track it by foot and gave us an edited version of the song as well so it all lined up perfectly. It was such a beautiful moment, I can't wait to see how it turned out on video!
Throughout the wedding planning, my mom and I decided we wanted to do a mother/daughter mash up dance because we felt it was important for my mom to have a moment with me since historically the mom doesn't walk the daughter down the aisle or have a dance with them. When we came to Pete with our idea, he was so supportive. He not only helped curate the mash up with all the songs we wanted to incorporate, but he also helped make it a production the day of! Instead of just making the mash up have a scratch and then us begin dancing, he made it seem like something was actually wrong by saying "oh no I'm so sorry guys I think something happened, hold on, I'm so sorry," so that we had time to get into our positions. Our friends and family were SO surprised!! That little last second choice Pete decided to do on the spot was what totally sealed the deal and make it such a memorable moment.
Overall, if you are trying to find a DJ who: can play a musical instrument, has a charming personality, is attentive, supportive, and experienced, then you don't need to look any further. Pete is 100% your guy for the job. I promise you won't regret choosing Pete to help DJ/MC your event whether it's for a wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc. He's the overall best and we loved having him!Pete Goslow's reply:

Pete helped make our wedding day PERFECT! While there are so many things he did to make sure our day ran smoothly, I want to highlight a few things: - LIVE MUSIC! This was something that was SO important for my husband. Pete delivered. He not only played beautiful music on his guitar as guests were sitting down for the ceremony and cocktail hour, but he personally made sure that the music he played when my husband and I walked down the aisle was exactly what we wanted. At cocktail hour he did an amazing job of blending my style of music (lots of Jimmy Buffett) with my husband's choice of music (a smoother more 'adult alternative'). So many of our guests also loved the live music atmosphere! - TIMELINE: Pete worked so well with all my vendors to make sure that our timeline was kept to. In addition, he advocated for my wants at the wedding day of when one of our vendors tried to move things around, I was lucky he was there as a voice for me. Pete also played a big role in making sure the timeline was stuck to, which was a lifesaver for me! - NAMES: I have been to a lot of weddings where the names of people get mispronounced, but Pete made sure to double-check all names with us ahead of time. - SET UP/CLEAN UP: Pete made things so easy - he comes with all his own gear. I didn't have to worry about an umbrella for him, he had one. Extension cords? Pete had it. He's been in the business a long time and it really shows. The Mic set up for our beach ceremony worked out so well, there wasn't any wind noise or anything coming through the mic. -MEETINGS: Having solid meetings with Pete 3-4 months out and a few weeks out was great. We felt like we already knew him when he arrived at the venue. I was comfortable talking with him and asking for requests, he was so accommodating in what we needed!- ABOVE AND BEYOND: We had our hearts set on a song for a first dance. Our dance instructor insisted that we did not use that particular song because it just didn't work. We reached out to Pete to see if he could cut it to make it work, and he did! We were able to dance to one of our favorite songs due to Pete's talent.
We absolutely loved working with Pete and if we ever did it again, we would hire Pete again!

Pete is The Best!
We are so happy Peter was available to DJ our wedding at the O'Donnell House in Palm Springs, CA. From the beginning, Peter was professional, responsive, and helpful. Planning a wedding from another state can be challenging but we were able to rely on him from the start. He was always a phone call, text, or email away with any questions or concerns that we might have had.
Having the right music is an important part of any event, especially your own wedding and Peter did not disappoint! We started planning the set list a couple months before the wedding and had several meetings leading up to the big day. He did an amazing job of balancing playing the songs we chose as well as reading the crowd of around 30 and incorporating different selections.
Peter is an extremely talented and versatile musician and guitarist as well as DJ which was a huge plus! He played acoustic during the guests arrival and also during parts of the ceremony.
Overall, we could not have been more pleased with the job that he did and would highly recommend him to anyone! We are so happy we chose Peter as the DJ for our wedding and also that he agreed to play for us. He is a great DJ as well as an amazing guy! Thank you Peter!

Fantastic experience with easy going professional
Pete provided us with an incredible musical backdrop for our micro wedding in Palm Springs. He was very easy to communicate with, responsive and accommodating to all requests, and of course very talented! From the first conversation I had with Pete, I knew we’d be in good hands for our wedding. Pete is more than just a DJ. We really wanted to have some live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour but switch over to the DJ vibe at reception. Pete does both and it was perfect. He’s a wonderful musician. Pete was the perfect music coordinator for our wedding. He was extremely thoughtful in our pre-wedding planning meetings (we had about 4 calls before the wedding). He played classical guitar for the ceremony, and worked from a carefully curated playlist for the reception. Music was a hugely important part of our wedding, and we have very particular tastes. Pete truly made the night at our wedding at Ethereal Gardens! Prior to the event, we had an hour and a half phone consultation with him where he laid out EVERY detail of our music timeline (details we honestly hadn’t even thought about) Pete is incredibly thoughtful, helpful and made the whole process stress-free! During the cocktail hour, guests RAVED about Pete (and still do… months later… post wedding) as he played live on his guitar and sang… he truly is incredibly talented. During the reception, he switched to DJ and got the CROWD DANCING! Months later, people are still commenting about how much fun our reception was, and Pete was the biggest factor in that! This review is long overdue. My husband and I got married in July 2021. Pete made our wedding phenomenal! We still receive so many compliments about how fun our wedding was and our DJ/music! We have Pete to thank for that. He was very responsive with our emails and answered all of our questions. We had about an hour phone call with him prior to our wedding to go through the timeline and our song selection. The portal we had to use online was user-friendly and a huge help when it came to selecting our song choices. The day our wedding rolled around he made each song transition as smooth as can be. There were no mic errors or lull's in between sets as we have experienced at other weddings. During our reception, my sister-in-law had set up a surprise for us by having my husband's side of the family get up and dance during her speech. This was something Ryan and I were not expecting and she had completely set this up on the side with Pete without us knowing. It was fantastic and completely surprised us. It was a fun way to see our families get up and dance to along to the song "My House" by Flo Rida, officially welcoming me into their family. Additionally, some guests indicated they wanted more "late-night" music once the older folks left and he had no problem adding in some music that fit that criteria if you know what I mean. He was awesome!! We can't thank Pete enough and for helping us with dj'ing our wedding. We 100% recommend Pete and wish we could do our wedding all over again with him as our DJ!

We had Pete running the show from beginning to end and we could not have been happier with the performance he gave for our big day. He was listed as one of our preferred vendors for our venue at Twin Oaks House and Garden Estate so we knew he had to be good to make it on a list like boy did he deliver. He was super responsive when we first reached out and made the whole planning process a breeze. Music was something I was very particular about for our wedding and so it was probably the things that felt the most overwhelming as well. Pete has a great website set up that made the planning process not only soooooo much easier, but it actually made it a really fun experience for my now husband and I. He played acoustically and sang for our ceremony and our cocktail hour which was such an amazing touch and our guests still rant and rave about it to this day. Then he was able to completely switch gears into DJ mode for dinner and dancing and we never had an empty dance floor after that. Overall he was so easy to work with and such a sweet guy. We love his versatility and he was the exact touch we where looking for to make sure the entire ambiance of our big day was always dialed in exactly where we wanted it. He is super responsive and very sweet as well and crazy affordable for the amount of talent he brings to the table. Not mention he was fantastic and corralling and herding our drunk wedding party for our grand entrance and all subsequent events so he really is full of talent. He reached out directly to our vendor to coordinate timelines and really took the pressure off of me to make sure the day would flow. For the wedding day, he and Jeremy were there early and set up on time to play while our guests were arriving. We chose to have him sing and play guitar before and after our ceremony, and he sounded great. Several of our guests commented on how impressed they were with him. Further, he worked with our venue coordinator and photographers to make sure our wedding went smoothly, and improvised when certain events took longer than expected. I valued his opinion so much that I even called him to get his take on decorations one day and he talked through it with me. His whole approach was to make sure we had the night of our lives, and I could not have been happier. He made sure he played the songs we specifically requested, and improvised his playlist for certain songs the guests requested during the reception. He even played one of my favorite songs that I hadn't requested, which was very special to me. It's super important to choose a musician/DJ that is experienced and will keep you calm for your big day; Pete is that guy!! One last thing that stood out to me... when we asked him which meal he preferred, he let me know that Jeremy would be there to help him, and that he would prefer Jeremy received the meal if there was only one for them. Pete Goslow, who is both a classically trained musician and a skilled DJ, was the utmost professional who did double-duty at our wedding in Palm Springs. He battled the heat for FIVE hours in TWO locations at our outdoor venue, playing gorgeous classical guitar for our ceremony and making sure there was a swinging party while he DJ-ed at our reception. Choosing Pete as our musician/DJ was the best choice we made. From the start, Pete felt like family. He was always easy to talk to and spend time with. He is great with communication and on top of everything, including his detailed timelines and his online event planning tool. He will work with you on your music selections and requests to your liking as well. I was very specific to everything that I wanted and Pete made sure not to miss a beat and to communicate that plan in our timeline.
On the big day, Pete and his assistant Jeremy were wonderful. The acoustic ceremony was stunning and I received many compliments from guests over our acoustic cocktail hour. The reception went flawlessly, Pete was there for everything we needed, hitting our timeline with ease. The dance floor lighting was perfect, the mic system was top notch, he even let me use it for a little rap I performed haha! His prices are fair for the amount of time and effort he puts into making your day special!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Pete for our wedding on 8/24/2019. He went above and beyond to make our special day memorable and extremely seamless! Not only did he make the long trek to Berkeley from LA, he accompanied our harpist for our wedding ceremony (took time to work with her in advance), played a hand full of requested songs on his classical guitar at our cocktail hour and reception along with learned "My Girl" for my father-daughter dance. He worked with us in advance to create the perfect playlist, helped us plan our entrance (learning how to pronounce everyone's name) and could read the crowd and got everyone rocking out on the dance floor at our reception. As follow up, he even sent us a recording of the music played at the cocktail hour for us to review since we missed out being there.

I initially reached out to Pete in search of live music for our ceremony and dinner. Quick to respond, we had a long conversation in which he asked about my timeline (in my head, what timeline?) Unless you're 1000% meticulous, been dreaming about your wedding day your entire life, and pair every sock with its match when you're doing laundry, TRUST ME YOU HAVE NOT CONSIDERED THE THINGS PETE KNOWS ABOUT A WEDDING DAY. Aside from his beautiful voice and versatile library of songs he can play live, his MC and timeline managing was no kidding THE key contributor to how smooth our day ran. Everyone always told me how "stressed" I'd be the day of and barely be able to enjoy the actual day. That was the complete opposite of my experience with Pete. The attention to detail of this man is unmatchable. The time he took to phonetically spell out my sisters' eccentric names for their announcements to the songs chosen to play during cake cutting/garder-bouquet toss, every single detail of the day was covered. We got married at the Casino San Clemente in San Clemente, California this spring and Pete was AMAZING- our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him! From our first conversation, we knew we had to look no further. Not only was so professional and knowledgeable, but he right away felt like a friend. Through the whole planning process he was always there for us to answer questions or talk things through, always sharing his ideas and opinions which were so much appreciated. They say wedding planning is stressful, but it wasn't with Pete- he made it so easy! He was so thorough and timely while building our timelines and made everything so easy for us. We even had some last minute changes days before the wedding and Pete took care of it no problem and partnered with our coordinator to make the day go off without a hitch. He really goes above and beyond.
What is so great about Pete is he can tailor to your vision and be so flexible- the music really made the day. We had him do a combination of both classical guitar and DJ'ing for our ceremony, and sing live acoustic music for our cocktail hour- his cover list was awesome and he even learned some new songs for us that we requested. Now for the reception...the second the music started, with no exaggeration, EVERYONE was on the dance floor. The dance floor was full the entire night. I've never seen anything like it! My wife and I married on June 29, 2019, at the Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla, CA.
Not only was Pete a spectacular performer, emcee, and DJ on our wedding day, he was vital to our planning process. Pete was very attentive from our first conversation to our last. He made it clear that he was always available to help in any way that he could. It turned out he ended up helping us much more than we could have expected.
With 18 days to go before our wedding, we had our venue and all of our vendors booked. We were pretty happy with our planning efforts and figured the rest was going to be a breeze. We were mistaken. Our entire wedding day timeline needed planning.
Thankfully, we had hired Pete Goslow. When hiring Pete, we never expected him to play the most significant role in planning our day. In the days leading up to the wedding with friends and family, my wife and I would joke that “the DJ planned the wedding.” As silly as the statement seems, it is free of all exaggeration. Pete was indispensable.
We started with a blank sheet of paper and over the phone put together our dream wedding timeline. Pete’s knowledge and experience were remarkable. He arranged our events, paying particular attention to time buffers to ensure nothing felt rushed or stressful and created detailed timelines for both our ceremony and reception. He helped us fit it all together. All of our vendors on our wedding day were operating off of Pete’s timeline, even the coordinators! Everything went off without a hitch on our wedding day. The timeline Pete created was perfect. We are so grateful to him for all the work he put into it!
On our wedding day, we had Pete play the acoustic guitar during our ceremony. His acoustic rendition of the song we chose was beautiful and could not have been better. He is a brilliant guitarist.
During cocktail hour, we asked Pete to play the acoustic guitar and sing. We left the song choices up to him. There is something classy and beautiful about having live music. Pete’s performance made the cocktail hour more memorable and enjoyable for our guests. As the cocktail hour was finishing, many of our guests came over to us and complimented us on both the song choices and the musician. It was a great feeling!
We learned the importance of having good music and a good emcee/DJ. Pete kept the day flowing just as planned through gentle announcements and directions to our guests. I have been to events where there is dead time and guests are unsure what is next or what to do. Pete made sure our day flowed like an absolute dream.
Music sets the mood. We gave Pete a list of songs from a specific genre to play during dinner. He added to our list with great songs from that genre. As my wife and I went around to various tables to say hello, almost all of our guests complimented the music. We loved the collection Pete put together.
While Pete’s passion for playing live music is undeniable, he is also a great DJ. During the dancing portion of the evening, Pete kept the dance floor going. My wife and I had no idea what types of music were best for dancing. Just like during cocktail hour, we gave Pete total control over song choice. He masterfully mixed today’s popular hits, yesterday’s classics, and the exact number of slow songs needed to ensure everyone at the wedding, young and old, had a great time!
Pete delivered what he promised and then some! We give Pete our highest recommendation!

My husband Joe and I were married at Twin Oaks Garden Estate on March 22. 2019 and we hired Pete as our DJ. Pete is not only extremely easy to work with he’s soooo good at what he does.
The entire time he had my back and I trusted that he would do an impeccable job and that he did! From the planning stages to the actual day he kept things light and professional. He handled everything. He sang live for our ceremony and our cocktail hour and he also sang our first dance song. I received so many compliments on Pete’s performances. I also received tons of compliments on the way he mixed the songs while he DJ’d our reception. I explained to Pete during the planning stage all the different elements at play (African relatives wanting African music, my husband wanting The Weekend and me wanting everyone to stay dancing) and he took in everything that I asked for and he mixed it up beautifully. My guests were dancing the night away with huge smiles on their faces.

When my wife and I set out to plan our wedding at Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Palos Verdes, California we had a difficult time deciding on music for the big day. We loved the idea of having live music during the ceremony and parts of the reception, while also having a DJ for dancing later in the evening, but finding someone who would excel at both felt out of reach. I spent a lot of time browsing different venders until I found Pete on Wedding Wire and after meeting with Pete over the phone we knew right away he was the right person for the job and he would make our big day memorable.
In the months leading up to the wedding we met with Pete several times to go over the timeline for the ceremony and reception as well as our music choices. Pete provided great expertise and helped us iron out details in our planning that undoubtedly would have caused stress on our wedding day without his help. Pete allowed us to pick songs we wanted to hear, blacklist songs we didn't, and brushed up on songs from his portfolio we wanted him to play when we walked into the ceremony.
I can't say enough about how important it is to have a professional to run music and emcee your wedding, and I am so grateful we found Pete. We especially appreciated Pete after attending other weddings leading up to ours without a professional DJ/emcee. Pete kept the day on track, kept the guests engaged and entertained, and removed any stress related to keeping the wedding day schedule.
Pete was fantastic when the big day arrived. He showed up on time and managed all his setup perfectly because he had scouted the location before the big day so that everything went smoothly (Wow!). Pete's beautiful guitar playing before and during the ceremony really capped off the vision my wife and I had for our ocean wedding. I'll always treasure the memory of walking into the ceremony with my best man as Pete played his rendition of "Torjia" from Torroba's Castle's of Spain and watching my wife walk down the aisle to Cannon in D. Pete helped us keep the reception on track even when we wanted to take more time to take extra photos - everything went so smoothly because of his guidance during planning and day-of. When it came time for DJ-ing, Pete kept our guests on the dance floor all night (we even saw family on the dance floor that we didn't expect to see dancing!) and we received a number of compliments on his music selections.
In short: We absolutely loved working with Pete for our wedding in July, 2018. Not only is Pete a fantastic DJ, skilled musician, and fun emcee - he's a true professional who gave us great advice throughout planning sessions and made us feel like we were in great hands leading up to and throughout the wedding. Ken and I were married at the Pacific Views venue on Point Loma Naval Submarine Base in March of 2018. We very much wanted the personal touch of live music to separate our wedding from just another party, but we also wanted the ability to play recorded songs.
Pete was the best of both worlds!
Pete was prompt to respond to our online inquiry and worked with us through the entire wedding planning process, even bringing our attention to potential issues that we didn't foresee as novice DIY planners. He helped us develop a perfect timeline for the ceremony and the reception.
During the reception, he did a fantastic job of guiding guests to be in the right place at the right time and subtly emcee-ing without making his personality the center of attention (something we'd seen some DJs do and we were wary of). Pete learned two custom songs for us, and sang and played guitar for most of the ceremony and some of the reception. Our guests were impressed and remarked over and over again what a fun and personal wedding experience it was. I know I'm biased, but it was the best wedding I've ever attended and if we could do it all over again, we would hire Pete for round 2!

Pete is the best of the best. He literally saved our wedding when it was falling apart around us. We had a tragedy occur and as such a bridesmaid and the photographer took off immediately after the ceremony, not to mention my mood shifted from joy to grief back and forth for the rest of the wedding. Our venue had some music restrictions since it was an outdoor/indoor venue, and my husband and I are super picky with music/DJs (we're both musicians and didn't want to hire a DJ at first).
Pete totally customized everything to us. He can play guitar or DJ (or both, like he did for us), won't be cheesy on the mic (he'll be as chatty or invisible as you want), and the whole process leading up to the wedding is very personal (client portal where you can make playlists, he'll learn custom songs on guitar, he'll even make your day-of-timeline). We were high school sweethearts (40 years ago) and we were reunited just over a year ago. We decided we wanted to share our day with our family and friends in Southern California. We found an amazing place in West Covina, CA. All of our planning had to be done from Texas, which meant no face to face meetings. Everything had to be done over the phone. My husband is a drummer and music is very important to both of us. We wanted someone special that could understand that and also be able to get the crowd up and enjoying themselves. We looked at several different DJ's. Yes, there were others that less money, but as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. What impressed us and caught our attention was Pete's website. It was extremely professional AND he is also a musician. We sent Pete a note that we were interested and explained our situation. Pete was more than accommodating. He scheduled our first phone meeting and we were hooked from there. We knew immediately that he was the man for the job. Pete is more than organized and his professionalism is over the top! Don't tell Pete this, but he is also a wedding planner - he put the whole timeline together which honestly I don't know what I would have done without him. Pete’s work was seamless. The only negative thing I have to say - prior to the ceremony he sang and played guitar to our guest as they waited. We didn’t have a video of it so I could be blessed by his amazing voice! Seriously though, with all of Pete’s work it was like he had known us for years and knew exactly what we wanted. We picked some of the music but also gave him the freedom to be creative. After our first phone call with him we knew that he was the right musician/DJ for our wedding day. He wasn’t pushy and didn’t rush us into booking him but we jumped on the opportunity of him having our wedding day open and booked him right away. It was the best decision! He is a great musician and played the guitar and sang during our ceremony and cocktail hour and during the reception he kept all of our friends and family dancing. They really enjoyed all the music. He planned and communicated with us really well before the wedding day and composed a timeline with every detail of the wedding. He is so organized and responsive which really made me happy. He took it upon himself to dismiss every table during dinner for the buffet line.
