Everything you want in a wedding DJ!

We hired Michael to DJ our summer 2025 wedding. From our first call, Michael was fantastic to work with. He took the time to help us build a playlist and consider all of our song choices for all of the key moments of our ceremony and reception. He met with us before the event to make sure we felt comfortable with everything. On the day of, he handled any last-minute requests and changes without a hitch and his music was the backdrop for an unbelievable dance party to end the night. We highly recommend Michael for your wedding or other event!

Best Wedding Day, Even Better DJ

My wife and I came across DJ Michael by a simple google search and his reviews and experience were enough to sell us. We then contacted him and had an opportunity to chat on the phone; he was so excited to get to know us as a couple. He had worked at our venue previously and raved about his experience there which was also a huge bonus for us. Come day of wedding, everything went great! Ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception was everything we could have hoped for. We had such a wonderful experience with DJ Michael and would highly recommend him if you are on the search for a DJ for any event or your special day. Hire Michael for your New England wedding or event.

I highly recommend Michael as a DJ for any occasion. His song selection kept guests of all ages dancing and singing all night. We had several last-minute performers, including a classical guitarist for the ceremony and a saxophonist during the party, and Michael accommodated them seamlessly. Both musicians remarked on his professionalism and precision. His preparation was thorough, and he met all of our requests with ease. He also referred a photo booth operator, Mike, who was excellent. Michael has DJ’d both of my siblings’ weddings as well. If you’re looking for a DJ for a wedding or an event in the New England area, and Michael is available, you should hire him without hesitation.

The BEST wedding DJ!

This review is long overdue, but I had to give a shoutout to the BEST wedding DJ we could have asked for—Michael! He was absolutely AMAZING. He did so much more than just keep the dance floor packed (though he definitely nailed that too). From helping us set the timeline and keeping everything flowing smoothly, to making sure we stayed on schedule throughout the night, Michael was a total pro.

He was super easy to work with—always responsive to my many questions and totally open to some of our less traditional ideas, like having everyone on the dance floor for our first dance instead of just the two of us. That moment is one of my favorite memories of the night.

People are still talking about how fun our wedding was. I truly wish we could do it all over again—Michael helped make it all feel so special and so much fun. Highly, highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of hiring DJ Michael for our wedding on 08/24/2024, and he was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless and fun. Here’s why we highly recommend him:

1. Pre-Wedding Consultation: We were able to have a detailed discussion before the big day, where DJ Michael really took the time to understand our music preferences and the vibe we wanted for the wedding. He was incredibly organized and open to all our ideas.

2. Music Selection: On the day, he nailed it with the playlist! He played a great mix of songs that got everyone dancing, from classic hits to modern favorites. We also loved how he blended different genres to suit everyone’s taste, from our younger guests to the older ones.

3. Professionalism: DJ Michael was very professional throughout the whole day. He arrived on time, set up without causing any disruption, and was respectful of our timeline. He even handled all the announcements, making sure everything flowed smoothly.

4. Energy & Atmosphere: He brought such great energy to the reception! The dance floor was packed all night long. He really knew how to read the crowd and keep the energy high, making the evening unforgettable.

5. Sound & Lighting: The sound quality was perfect — no issues with volume or feedback. The lighting setup really elevated the entire reception, giving it a glamorous and festive atmosphere.

Weeks Wedding 2024 Sugarloaf ME

DJ Mike was everything we could have asked for and more in a DJ for our winter wedding. He played all of our favorite songs and then some. Every time I looked at the wedding tables they were empty because everybody was up on the dance floor, for hours! Not only is he an excellent DJ but he also put our limbo stick together prior to the wedding, which was one of the highlights of the night. If you’re looking for a professional and experienced DJ, Mike is your guy!

The DJ You Want!!

Michael was our DJ this past weekend for our Wedding, and there wasn’t a moment the dance floor wasn’t packed from the moment it opened. We had a very wide range in ages and he managed to have everyone raving about the music selection. He did an awesome job with announcements and the quality of sound for our outdoor ceremony was perfect! We had complete faith and Michael from the start, and really makes it so there’s no real lift on your end, which if you’re in the wedding planning process is a huge win. Don’t hesitate to book him, he’ll be my top recommendation for anyone who asks!

Michael O'Neill is an amazing DJ and highly recommend

Michael was professional, responsive, flexible, affordable and high quality all around as we are recommending him to future friends and family who need a DJ!

All the guests raved about how good the music was and they loved every song Michael played to keep everyone dancing! Michael stuck to our must and no play songs which was amazing to know he took so much of his time to prep everything that we suggested and the first dance songs went well with perfect fades!

Not only did Michael provide great dance music but he also did everything for our ceremony and cocktail hour from having music to fit each ambiance. Our friend giving the ceremony wore a lapel microphone and Michael also had a stand up microphone for my mom's speech during the ceremony. He went above and beyond to exceed our expectations and was flexible as our venue ended up allowing us to stay later than expected so he was very flexible to also stay later at an affordable price.

We highly recommend Michael for anyone looking for a DJ!

11/10 Stars!! Exceeded All Expectations

When we were looking for a DJ for our wedding, we were skeptical on who to choose. The DJ is a big part of your wedding, it can make or break the whole night but DJ Michael did not disappoint!! He exceeded all of our expectations, we never left the dance floor; it was packed all night long.
He is extremely responsive in the planning process and beyond. Michael provides a form for you to fill out to ensure he plays all the right songs and steers clear of the Do Not Play.

We really cannot recommend him enough! Our guests raved about the music and have said it was the most fun they've had at a wedding in a long time. We have DJ Michael to thank for that!

Incredible Playlist

Michael was helfpul from start to finish. Before we even decided to hire him, Michael took the time to have an in depth conversation about what we were looking for, our own musical taste, that of our guests, and what sort of vibe we were going for. He took this information and ran with it! We did a lot of things in a non-traditional manner, and Michael was an instrumental part of making that run smoothly- he brainstormed with us ahead of time and then executed the vision perfectly. We had a lot of trust in Michael from our first conversations with him, so we decided we didn't need to make a lot of requests or give a lot of instructions- this was by far the best choice we made. Michael's ability to read the room and play tunes that kept the crowd going was abolsutely impressive- he played songs neither of us would have thought about or requested and it was incredible. Danced All Night!

I’m so glad we hired DJ Michael for our January wedding!! DJ Michael was responsive and professional from the start! He takes a true interest in your day and works hard to make it a great event. The best dj!

Michael was a dream to work with from the start! After our first conversation, we made the decision to hire him. We loved our DJ!

Ben and I are so glad that we crossed paths with DJ Michael. We hired him for an out of town wedding and he traveled far to get there. He showed up a day early for a site visit, and we were impressed with his thoroughness and his attitude.

DJ Michael was so easy to work with! We filled out a custom worksheet with our playlist preferences and he stayed true to our preferences. Our music was amazing and it was high energy on the dance floor!

We would 100% recommend DJ Michael for anyone who's considering working with him. If we ever have the opportunity to work with him again for any other event we would!

Best DJ around!

Michael did an amazing job for my wedding on 10/21/23! He had everyone up and dancing for 4 hours! He had to set up in multiple locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception and he did it perfectly. He communicated great with us and our venue to make the day go so smoothly. I had so many guests coming up to me telling me how great he was and they were not wrong! Michael is a must book for your wedding if you want to have an amazing time! Best DJ for dancing the night away

Dj Michael is the best DJ we have every encountered. He was the DJ for my brothers wedding and danced the entire night so we knew we wanted him for ours. If you want everyone dancing the entire night-hire him!! Michael was so easy to work with. We were very indecisive with selecting some of our songs and he provided suggestions. We only requested 4 songs for the dancing portion of the wedding and let him pick the rest. We had so many people tell us that the dancing playlist was perfect and that is because Michael is so talented and picked songs that kept everyone on the dance floor. Even the kitchen staff came out and were dancing during the night! The wedding planners also commented on how the music was perfect, everyone was dancing the entire night, and very few people were seated during the dancing. Again, that is all because of Michael. Hire him if you want to have fun and dance the entire night!!

DJ Michael brought the party!!!

He packed the dance floor from the very first song through the end of the night, with no lulls whatsoever. Our guests are still talking about how awesome he was, and have even asked for his information! From the very first time we spoke with Michael, he listened and understood our vision and worked alongside us to craft the perfect vibe for our day. He met with us for a drink and got to know us, which I can honestly say made our whole experience because he knew exactly how to execute on what we planned together. He had an awesome presence the day of, keeping the vibe up and lively through cocktail hour, speeches, dinner & dancing. He knows exactly the right amount of talking to get the crowd going and letting the music lead - which is truly hard to find! He even gave us a CD of the top hits of our playlist as a memento, which we loved. He is an incredible partner, and truly a joy to work with. I can’t recommend him enough!!

Amazing!! Michael killed it!

Michael was so, so great to work with. I was so overwhelmed with the whole planning process that I was beyond stressed trying to decide which way to go for music. Michael spent over an hour on the phone with me, twice, reassuring me I was doing just fine and that he would take care of it all. I had some songs that were a must play and he nailed the vibe we were trying to go for. My father and I have a long history of songs that mean alot to us and Michael was able to mash up a few songs for our first dance! We got SO many compliments on that!! Amazing DJ!

If your contemplating booking DJ Michael, just do it. Previously, I had been to two weddings where Michael was the DJ and remembered the dance floors being epic. Because of that, He was the first and only DJ we looked into, and the best vendor decision we made the entire process. After two years of the pandemic all we wanted was a party for our guests and Michael definitely accomplished that. Family and friends are still telling us that he was one of the best wedding DJ's they've ever experienced and we could not agree more. We will definitely be recommending him any chance we get!

Mike will get your guests on the dance floor!

My husband and I have known Mike for a while as our trivia host, so when it came time to hire our wedding DJ, we knew exactly who to reach out to first. He helped the evening flow smoothly and worked with me to make sure the different events of the night, like the parent dances and cake cutting, happened at the perfect times so no one was bored, without any of the "cheesiness" that sometimes comes along with a wedding MC. Just total professionalism and fun the whole night. And when it came time for dancing, Mike had the ENTIRE WEDDING on the dance floor until the very last song. Like, people were literally asking for our wedding playlist. If you need a DJ, Mike is 100% your guy and we can't wait to party with him again.

DJ Mike was amazing!! I could not be more grateful to have him to share in the day. The most important thing I wanted for the wedding reception was for people to have fun on the dance floor, and Mike accomplished this! People were out of their seats before dinner was even served! I did not stop hearing all night from family and friends how they had never been to a wedding with so much dancing and that was just what I loved to hear. Hire him in a heartbeat!

DJ Michael was PHENOMENAL! We had seen him DJ at our friend's wedding in 2015 and he was our #1 choice for our wedding in 2022. Michael was extremely communicative and helpful along the way. He made our 5 year old niece VERY happy, she never left the dance floor. Michael managed to incorporate songs and bands that we love and felt personal to us, while also catering to guests to make sure everyone felt comfortable during cocktail hour and on the dance floor. We are endlessly grateful for the time and detail that DJ Michael put into our day.

My wife & I hired Michael for our wedding and he was easily my favorite vendor we worked with! From start to finish Michael was incredibly professional, responsive & flexible to help create the absolute perfect day for our wedding. 10/ 10 would recommend to anyone looking for DJ services in New England area!

Just hire this guy

DJ Michael was great at our 65 ppl wedding. We was very flexible with us ahead of the wedding during the planning stage. Our reception and dancing was outdoors, when we got hit by torrential rain! But DJ Michael kept the party going by moving under the awning and everyone danced in the rain. He also provided uplighting which made the place POP!

Amazing job at our Halloween wedding

Highly Recommend, 10/10!

DJ Michael made our wedding the BEST time!! We had several guests comment to my husband and I that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to...and DJ Michael had a lot to do with it. He was on time, professional, and just an all-around amazing vendor and we are THRILLED that we chose him as the DJ for our wedding reception. He played a variety of different songs that my husband and I and our guests were ecstatic over. It's not an exaggeration when I say the dance floor was never empty. We cannot say enough good things about DJ Michael, and we highly recommend him for your special day!

Best Wedding DJ ever!!

I could not recommend a better DJ!!!! Michael is soo genuine, caring, fun, and passionate about what he does! He was SUPER thoughtful and even gave us our songs on 2 CDs! Both me and my now husband are deaf, and we had a mix of hearing and deaf folks at our wedding, so we were worried that the music would not be a hit. But Michael knew exactly what he was doing and everyone had a blast on the dance floor!!!! Not only did Michael have a fantastic music selection, but he provided superb feedback when helping me pick song choices for certain wedding events (i.e., cake cutting, bouquet toss). He was practically our wedding planner too, and helped us put together the best order of wedding events! Thank you, Michael!!!!

Michael is exactly what we needed

We had a pretty small wedding, so wanted a chill yet fun DJ - Michael was exactly that. He was very responsive, accommodating and not pushy at all with add-ons or unnecessary expenses. He read the room very well and we managed to have a great time with a small group.

The best party ever!

I didn’t have many specific songs I wanted and I don’t have great taste in music so I left all of that completely to Michael. The only thing I told him was “throw a good party”... and that he did! He was incredible. Everything we’ve heard from guests of our wedding is that it was a great party! The dance floor was totally full for 4 hours!! Michael was a professional the whole way through and even left us the CDs from the night after it was over! Thank you Michael for the BEST PARTY EVER!

Outstanding DJ!

My husband and I hired Michael to be our DJ at our wedding, and we could not have been happier! Michael was a pleasure to work with and did a great job incorporating our music choices into our wedding while adding his own selections that got everyone dancing. He was able to source all of our music requests without issues. He responded very quickly whenever we had new requests or updates, both via email and during the wedding itself. Michael comes highly recommended for a reason! He really is a pro - professional, experienced, easy to work with, and someone you can trust to help your wedding day go off without a hitch. Michael was very accommodating of our needs while also providing useful advice where we wanted it, and really made us feel comfortable about the whole process. On the day of, he handled everything seamlessly behind the scenes and DJed a great dance party, and we got great feedback from our guests about everything from his quality of MC-ing to the music choices. Highly Recommended

We had Michael DJ our wedding a few weekends ago and we have nothing but great things to say about him. He was recommended to us after a friend's wedding because they said they had a blast- now we have already recommended him to several of our guests.

From the start, Michael was very responsive and by far the easiest vendor to work with. He made the day and the planning as stress-free for us as possible. He took care of the ceremony as well as the reception without any hitches, and was able to set up properly for our last-minute change of location due to rain. Before entering the ballroom, Michael even came over to us and congratulated/hugged us, which showed how friendly and personable he is. He took into consideration all of our requests and we were very happy with the results. He even went beyond that and played some extra Beyonce songs after hearing how much the bride loves her through some speeches.

We were worried about booking a venue with such a large dance floor, but it ended up being full the entire night thanks to Michael. We had guests of all ages who were up dancing the whole time. We have heard from several guests that they truly had so much fun at our wedding and that they thought the DJ was fantastic, and we agree. We couldn't recommend him more to anyone who wants to have a fun and memorable wedding for them and their guests.

Better than we could have hoped for!

DJ Michael was absolutely amazing! I can't put into words how wonderful he made our day. From our original meeting with him, through the planning process and the song selections, Michael was incredibly responsive and helpful. We had some changes that we decided to make the day of the wedding, and he was able to accommodate them without any issues. Our goal for the reception was to have people enjoying themselves and dancing, and during the entire night, the only time I saw the dance floor only filled with kids was at the beginning, while the first course was being served. Michael did an impeccable job of reading the crowd and mixing together all of the different decades, languages and genres of music that we asked for. Not only did he provide music, he also provided uplighting which helped set the mood for the evening. The whole night of our wedding, and to this day; we are told "he was an amazing DJ", "that was the best wedding I've been to EVER!", and "my feet hurt the next morning because I danced so much!". We couldn't recommend Michael enough! Do not hesitate, booking him will be one of the best decisions you make for that day!

This review will mostly be echoing all of the previous reviews- Michael was AWESOME. We booked him to DJ our wedding on a farm and he really delivered- we requested specific songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and he made it happen. The entire process was very easy & organized, and he was a dream wedding vendor.

After the wedding I told him that everything didn't run quite so smoothly that day, but the music was one of the few things that did, thanks to him. We had a shorter timeframe for the reception & dancing due to venue restrictions and he made sure people had great music to dance to- everyone had a fantastic time and are still telling me how fun it was!

Do yourself a favor and book Michael for any of your DJ-ing needs- he's organized, professional, and amazing at what he does.

Amazing DJ!

DJ Michael was amazing at our wedding. He was so easy to work with and so responsive. We emailed back and forth and then met him in person in order to finalize details. He was super organized which I appreciated very much!

Our main goal was to have people on the dance floor as much as possible, and that was the case at our wedding. I can't tell you how many people have complimented how great the music was. DJ Michael consciously chose music from all different decades, and different genres that kept our guests entertained and happy. We would highly recommend him to anyone!

Responsive, professional who knows how to keep the dance floor going all night!

This review is long overdue but well deserved! Michael was not only amazing on the day of our wedding, but was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. He was easy to communicate with and super quick with responding to emails. Another thing we loved about Michael was his desire to meet with us prior to the wedding to get a better understanding of the vibe we were going for and what we wanted played throughout the day/night.

Most importantly, however, was Michael's knowledge of music (all genres) and ability to read the room! Song selection is key to keeping the dance floor going and he was able to seamlessly transition into the RIGHT next song, never letting the energy die down. Once he got started the place was rocking until the very end. We couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!

My husband Keith and I highly recommend Michael O'Neill as your wedding DJ. He went above and beyond to cover every music detail necessary for our wedding. This was not an easy task because every portion of the event was in a different location, yet he never once made us feel like our requests were too much to handle. Micheal worked with our music requests and created playlists that perfectly represented each portion of the day. Michael was the perfect DJ for our wedding this past August in Lincoln, MA. Book DJ Michael. Michael was recommended by our photographer. I did a little more research and found great reviews. We emailed and met in person. Michael was absolutely the best. He made our night so special. He is organized, thoughtful and a true professional. Everything went smoothly with introductions and first dances. When the night turned into just dancing Michael’s skills were on full display. We gave him some of our song preferences ahead of time and he nailed it. He played so many great songs and a good mix for our crowd. It exceeded all expectations.

DJ Mike is the best. He had our dance floor packed during our entire wedding two weeks ago, and people couldn't stop raving about how fun the wedding was. Mike is also really easy to work with. In addition to meeting with my fiance and I before the wedding to go over all the music, he also answered multiple follow-up emails quickly. I feel like he listens to what you want but also uses his expertise to make sure your party is fun and that everyone has a good time. The music transitions during the ceremony were seamless as well. Mike even makes a CD for you with all of your wedding songs as a memento of the night, which is such a nice added touch. Highly recommend!

He’s the nicest guy, super understanding when my mom had a few last minute changes. Our party was half Brazilians so they were all raring to dance and mike really knew which songs to play to get the Americans up too. All in all, it was a great wedding and the music was perfect. He made some suggestions when I was unsure of what we wanted and they were spot on for what the room needed. 10/10 would get married and have him dj again!

Michael was a joy to work with. I knew within five minutes of meeting him before signing a contract that he would be great. My husband and I had very particular music taste and Michael went out of his way to not only download the correct versions (of classical songs), but to also edit some songs to fade in and out at the precise moment. For example, as we walked down the aisle, we needed our songs to transition at one exact beat and he did it perfectly. Not only was Michael helpful before the wedding, but he was very responsive during the wedding. Like most weddings, the schedule ended up running a bit behind, and Michael worked closely with us throughout the day to make sure we were in the room for important parts of the reception and working with us to remove parts at the last second because of time (bouquet toss). I know this can be difficult because, as bride and groom, we were constantly being pulled all over the place for photos and to talk to people.

The one thing we really wanted in a DJ was someone who could play sweet tunes but who wouldn't do any awkward advertising in the middle of the wedding. Michael did just that -- played great music that we requested and was very behind the scenes, emceeing when necessary. Finally, he quietly put copies of CDs with our wedding music into our stuff before leaving, which was a sweet touch. We now will have these lovely tunes to hear for the rest of our lives. Go with Michael! You won't regret it.

If I could give Michael 10 stars I would. He was AMAZING. He was recommended to us by good friends of ours who used his DJ services at their wedding. Their wedding was an absolute blast, and we knew we wanted Michael to bring that same vibe to our wedding. From the beginning, he was responsive and easy to work with. We booked him quite far in advance as the DJ was important to me. He made this process seamless. We were planning our Boston, MA wedding from Washington, DC however with phone calls and emails I felt like everything I needed to know was communicated. As we got closer to the wedding, he had a great planning document to help square away all the necessary details for the big day including must plays and do-not plays. I was rather particular about the songs I wanted to be played during my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He went far beyond my expectations, and provided us with the exact music we were looking for. He reviewed the timeline with me days before the wedding, and kept the night moving perfectly. I did not stop dancing for one minute at my own wedding.. it was the best. He had EVERYONE dancing the whole night. If you are looking for a reliable, reasonably priced DJ who will keep your party going all night... Michael is your guy! I will continue to recommend him to all my future friends and family planning their weddings.

Michael was absolutely amazing!!!! I cannot tell you how thrilled my husband and I are for choosing him. He was beyond helpful- thorough, extremely responsive and very prepared. We had a very specific vision of what we wanted, and it was executed in the exact way we had dreamed. He helped us fashion our unique music for when people were seating, played our "peace of mind" exit ceremonial music, classy cocktail hour music and then pumped up dance party music. We requested music that would get the party started. People stopped dinner early and the dance party never died down. If I could give 10 stars I would. Michael absolutely killed it at our wedding. Living in CA at the time of our wedding it was difficult selecting DJs. We ended up going with Michael cause he was laid back and gave us a sense that he could play a mix of old and new music without being cheesy or too "in your face." We couldn't have been happier with our choice.

Michael made the process simple throughout. We never even met him beforehand in person, just had a conversation and filled out some paperwork. He was there before the ceremony (even though we only needed him for the reception), and required zero attention from me. He had everything ready to go when it was his time and he certainly brought his A game. He didn't play any corny stuff (though said he would if we wanted). He had a perfect mix of music to get everyone up and dancing, and the floor was packed the entire night. I could barely get to the bar cause I couldn't pull myself away! I've been to a lot of weddings and this was the best dance party I've ever had. And that's not just a grooms bias - many of my friends said likewise.

If that all wasn't enough, Michael was very gracious and accommodating, and let us know how well he got along with our other vendors. Michael was an absolutely incredible find and made our wedding day more than we could have imagined. If you're planning a wedding remotely - or locally - you will not be disappointed by Michael. I don't have enough good things to say about Michael. Leading up to the wedding he was beyond accommodating and responsive on all lines of communication. We had multiple face-to-face meetings over the course of the year leading up the wedding and every time Michael brought fresh ideas to the table. He even went out of his way to purchase some of the more obscure songs we requested!

On the day of the wedding Michael was fantastic! He arrived at the venue multiple hours before the ceremony started and set up 3(!) different tables for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He provided his own microphones and let our videographer tap into his sound board for the ceremony audio.

Michael shined especially bright during the reception. Everyone was up on the dance floor the entire night as he mixed in all different genres and decades of music. We've had many guests reach out to us to let us know what a fantastic job our DJ did. He really made our wedding an outstanding party!

We booked Michael to be our wedding DJ this past June and we were incredibly happy with our decision. He was professional and responded very quickly to emails. He listened closely to our requests and thoughtfully shared his prior wedding experiences to help with our decision making. He has a wide selection of music and will even buy additional files to accommodate you (we requested songs from our favorite video games during our prelude). Michael was great to work with throughout the entire process. He was responsive, helpful, and made us feel calm when we were on the verge of wedding planning panic. Most importantly, he did an awesome job and we had an amazing night! He took our recommendations and build a great night around it. The dance floor never stopped!

When we wanted to add a photo booth and uplighting three weeks before the wedding, Michael made it happen stress-free and for a great price. Not enough positive things we can say.

When choosing a DJ for our wedding, my wife and I searched through multiple websites and reviews. We sent inquiries to a few different DJs and companies. Michael was quick to respond and had a much more personal touch when compared to other agencies we contacted. He was thorough with all of the planning and made the process easy. Anytime we had questions, he was available.
The music at our wedding was very important to us and Michael did an amazing job. He had us fill out a planning sheet to make sure the day went smoothly and we were not disappointed. He did his job flawlessly, limited any off script talking at the reception and kept the evening moving along on schedule. He checked in with us frequently enough, but did not make the day about him, as some DJs tend to do. The music selection was perfect! He integrated all of our must plays and did a great job of reading the room to keep the dance floor full all night.
We felt very comfortable with Michael and his prices were reasonable. He also did an excellent job setting up the audio for our ceremony. If you are looking for a professional, fun and relaxed DJ to keep your wedding running smoothly, look no further. We would not hesitate to hire Michale again.

Working with Michael was a fantastic experience from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, professional and so talented. We gave him a limited amount of direction and just a few requested songs, as he assured us he could please our dance-loving guest-list. I am so happy we trusted him! He kept the dance floor packed the entire night with an amazing play list! Our guests are still talking about how awesome the music was; my aunt said every time she tried to sit he would play another great song that she couldn't miss! In fact, one of my guests already booked him for next summer! Michael was a blast to work with, from start to finish. As soon as we met him, my husband and I knew we needed to look no further! He really listened to us, and I could tell he had a good understanding of exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Michael did the music for the whole shebang: ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception! He played everything we wanted and did a great job of mixing in fun songs of his choosing. Michael has this very calming presence, and I just knew he had a good handle on things. The day of our wedding, it poured rain and they had to move everything inside. Michael was totally prepared for this less than ideal situation. Our guests danced all night! Other pluses: The added uplighting he did was a great touch; he gave us a CD of our songs; he even sent a short video he shot on his phone of some of the dancing. You cannot go wrong with Michael so definitely book him if you have the opportunity!

My husband, Kevin, and I hired Michael to DJ our wedding on November 11, 2016, Veteran's Day! We gave him a moderate amount of guidance in terms of requests and asked him to use his judgement with the rest. Michael was very professional, adjusted his music to a crowd of varying ages, and was great at determining what songs were a fit for our intimate group. He was also very responsive to any of our questions throughout the process and inquired with us during the reception as to what our needs and the needs of our guests were. My wife and I used Michael for our wedding in August. He was great and everyone had a fantastic time. Michael was the DJ at our wedding last weekend in Haverhill, MA and my husband and I could not have been more pleased. We were VERY picky about our playlist and asked Michael to play ~100 handpicked songs, mixing in others he recommended that were similar. Michael took the time to find and download every single one, yes...every. single. one. He totally blew us away with his dedication. He also made it a point to meet with us beforehand to go over how we wanted things to flow throughout the evening and to make sure he got all of the name pronunciations correct. What's more is that he showed up early, charged an extremely fair rate for his services AND (cherry on top!) he gave us CDs post-wedding of all of the songs he played. He's literally such a rockstar and I'm so glad we found him. If we ever have another event where we need a DJ, he'd be the first one I call. You will not be disappointed - he's the best of the best. Thank for making our day amazing, Michael!!!

Mike did the music for our ceremony and reception was incredible. He was able to take the songs we requested and create a playlist that was really amazing. The dance floor was packed the entire time! DJ Michael O'Neill is top-notch!

My wife and I are particular about the music that we listen to - we're not really top-40 hits kind of people. We wanted our wedding playlist to move with the theme of the night: songs from Paul Simon, Arcade Fire, and Prince during cocktails and dinner; and Motown classics, Mackelmore and 90s hip-hop to keep the dance party going through the night.

Mike was a real professional throughout all of the planning of our reception - and most importantly, very punctual - never once did I wait more than an hour for a response from an email.

Mike was incredibly easy to work with in regard to playlist planning - he's not just a guy with some high-end audio equipment, hes a music lover, and knows what songs work and what songs don't. If you want people dancing at your ceremony, or if you're worried about getting the grandmas and grandpas out on the dance floor, Mike knows how to do it!

Unfortunately, I don't plan on getting married again, but if I was, I'd book Mike again in a heartbeat!

I was pretty laid back about every part of my wedding except the music. Michael had by far the hardest job of anyone at the wedding and he executed it flawlessly. I had a very specific cocktail hour list, in addition to very specific introductions & music for the introductions, which required some specific editing and transitions. He did it all, never once was put out or complained about it, and gave me the absolute perfect soundtrack to our wedding. The guests raved about his music selections and people were crowded on the dance floor until the very last song. All of our guests said they can't remember the last time they danced so much. He kept the night running smoothly and coordinated with the caterer to make sure things moved apace (I didn't have a wedding coordinator, so it was DJ Michael & the caterer who did it all!) In the weeks leading up to the wedding, non-wedding life stuff got very stressful and just the tone of his emails totally changed my mindset and got me excited for my own wedding. You won't find a better DJ or a better price. So, hire him, then tip him, because he'll give you a better night than you could have imagined.

We loved Michael! From the initial meeting to the last song, Michael went above and beyond to make sure we had exactly what we wanted for music during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our ceremony and reception was at the Portsmouth Country Club and he was able to provide ceremony music outside, cocktail hour music in the lower level patio, and reception music upstairs in the ballroom.

He is an excellent MC- Michael helped the whole wedding party (including a frazzled bride and groom at times!) throughout the day with professionalism.

His ability to get a crowd dancing and maintain a fun energy is why I would recommend him to any bride and groom. Many of our guests complimented the DJ and his choice of music throughout the night. The last few songs he had everyone on the dance floor! He will give you complete autonomy of your playlist if you so chose; however we chose to let Michael take the reigns on the music and he did not disappoint!

Michael was SUCH AN AMAZING DJ.

Michael came recommended to me by a friend who had attended her friend’s wedding, and both my husband and I could not have been happier with our choice. Michael was an extraordinary DJ and he kept the party going all night – I don’t think the dance floor emptied once! He was extremely professional and didn’t do any gimmicky stuff to draw attention to himself (long winded introductions, cheesy games/songs, etc) – he made sure the night was about both my husband and I. He met with us beforehand to go over song requests for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and was sure to get our somewhat unique song requests for the night. Beyond the few songs we requested (and the few we were dead set against) we just let Michael do his thing and pick the music himself and we could not have been more pleased - he knew exactly what song to play next and how to keep the energy up. My biggest fear for my wedding was having an empty dance floor…his advice to me was “the crowd goes where the bride goes – if you’re on the dance floor, they will be too” and he could not have been more right – I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun dancing in my entire life. Seriously.

Michael also provided our uplighting and acted as our wedding coordinator and did a fantastic job at these two tasks as well.

Our wedding could not have been more perfect, and we owe a lot of that to Michael – we could not recommend him enough!

My husband and I could not have picked a better DJ for our wedding at Zorvino Vineyards this fall! Michael played all of our requests, and all of the songs he chose to play on his own were perfect. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. In fact, the bartenders at Zorvino told my parents at the end of the night that our wedding was the best Sunday night wedding they've ever seen, and they attributed this to the fact that people were up and dancing throughout the entire event! Something else that I really appreciated about Michael was that any time a guest requested a song, he made sure to find either my husband or I first to ask if it was okay. We were his number one priority the entire night.

Aside from Michael playing a big role in making sure our wedding reception was the party we wanted, he was so helpful and accommodating through our planning process. My family had some very specific/particular requests when it came to playing some more of the traditional Greek songs for Greek dances, and Michael spent a lot of time going over this with us to make sure he got it right. One of my favorite parts of the entire wedding was looking around and seeing literally every guest up on the dance floor trying to Greek dance with my family!

Finally, Michael was very knowledgeable with his recommendations for other aspects besides just songs - parent dances, cutting the cake, how much time to allot for different parts of the night, etc.

I can't say enough amazing things about our experience with Michael as our wedding DJ. Book him now before others do!

Michael was the DJ at our Cambridge Muliticultural Arts Center wedding this Fall and he was the best decision we made throughout the entire planning process. The dance floor was packed the entire night with our guests dancing to song after song of awesomeness. He played all of our requested songs and all of the songs that he chose on his own were spot on. So many guests (young and old) came up to me during the night to tell me that the playlist was incredible.
More importantly, Michael knows his stuff. Like all brides, I was a little nervous about how the night would go. I didn't have a wedding planner to make sure everything flowed perfectly so I relied a lot on creating a schedule beforehand and making sure the vendors were all in agreement. You may not expect a DJ to have a big role in the logistics of the evening, but they certainly do. From the cocktail hour, to dinner, to the toasts, cake cutting, and parent dances, Michael's experience shines during weddings and he knows how to make the night pass seamlessly. We started planning with him almost a year and half before our wedding day and he was by far the most responsive and nicest vendor we worked with. He even edited our first dance song for us. Once he knew what our ideas were for our event, he reassured us not to worry about anything and he executed every detail perfectly.
If you need a DJ, Michael is your guy. The reviews could not be more accurate; he is incredible and deserves every single one of these accolades.

Absolutely wonderful! We had Patrick McIntyre as our DJ and he was so amazing to work with. He was responsive by email from the time we hired him months before the wedding, and was available to talk as much as needed the week of the wedding. He worked with our musicians to set them up as we discussed, and was a consistent but invisible presence at the wedding! I didn't worry about set up at all thanks to Patrick. He also put on a really great dance party, making sure to incorporate our style while also playing a bunch of fan favorites. He was our favorite vendor! I definitely recommend Patrick, or any of the DJs that work for Michael's company. Phenomenal service and great people.

Michael was absolutely the best wedding DJ we could have asked for. Even our venue (that does about 50-60 weddings a year and is a full time music venue) said he was by far one of the best DJ's they have ever had the privilege to work with. He did the music for our ceremony, appetizer hour, dinner, and dancing. He played all our must plays, stayed away from all of our do not plays, and had our dance floor packed all night. He even announced Big Papi's 500th home run during our reception (after checking with us of course), and worked with the maid of honor/ best man to provide the perfect musical accompaniment to their slideshow speeches. We had a great experience with Michael. He was easy to communicate with during the planning and really guided us through the information he needed to make the night run smoothly. The best part about Michael was his professionalism. When I emailed him a year ago to inquire about pricing he emailed me back within a few minutes. We met with him and loved him instantly! His first comment was that if you play the right song after song then people will be on the dance floor all night long---and believe me they were! He easily flowed a variety of great dance music for the large variety of people at our wedding. Everyone from my 80 year old Grandparents to my 18 year old cousins were on the dance floor. We had an absolute blast and cannot wait to hire Michael for our next event!

We just had Michael DJ our wedding reception at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center and he was fantastic! We could tell from our first meeting that he’s a total professional, and knows how to create the type of party you’re looking for by asking some great questions and filling in the rest with his expertise. Another thing we loved about him – Michael doesn’t do that heavy-handed self-promotion thing. No banners or signs, just great announcing and music that kept our evening on track and got everyone on the dance floor!

Michael made the music planning process really simple, with great song suggestions for some key moments. Our song list was kind of all over the place, but he turned it into a great playlist for the night! He was always on top of the crowd’s mood and adjusted to keep the energy up. The music was so good he even had my mom dancing, which I didn’t think was possible!

I highly recommend hiring Michael if you have the opportunity!

We had heard michael from one of our good friends weddings and we knew we wanted him to do our wedding at that time, and we are very glad we went with him! He was so helpful and responsive whenever I emailed him about song suggestions and recommendations. We only chose a few songs we wanted to hear and let him do the rest- he played a great mix of older more classic wedding songs and modern songs- everyone was on the dance floor, including my mom, which is not an easy thing to do! We had people telling us they had such a great time on the dance floor. He has gave us a cd of songs from our wedding and a trivia book he had written which was a great personal touch. Michael DJ'ed our wedding reception this summer, and I can tell you unequivocally that he was worth every penny. He was extremely easy to work with and completely unfazed when we told him we needed to have music in a different room for cocktail hour, two different dining rooms, and a separate area for dancing. No problem. When the bridesmaids tried to play a surprise video and their speakers weren't loud enough, he came to the rescue without being asked, connected his own speakers and had it all working in two minutes. And then there's the music itself. We worked out a music plan together ahead of time, but Michael knew what to play when and the dance floor was full the entire night. If you have a chance to snag Michael as your DJ, do it! I cannot recommend him enough.

Michael DJ'd for our 8/9/14 wedding, and he was awesome. When I was first interviewing DJs Michael was the most professional and responsive. He didn't pressure me at all like some of the other folks, just patiently answered all my questions. He seemed like someone I'd enjoy having a beer with which is a good criteria when you're deciding people you want to have around you on your wedding day. He really knew what he was doing and struck the right balance when it came to being flexible - he made clear that whatever we wanted, he would play, but tried to steer us in the right direction given his considerable experience about what would keep the party going. Our reception was fantastic - the music was awesome and people had a blast. Michael's announcements were really helpful - he spoke just the right amount and kept the reception moving along smoothly. He worked with my sister secretly on music for a surprise photo slide show, and he even made us 2 copies of our reception playlist as a keepsake. As a bonus he brought lighting for the dance floor with no extra charge (and his quote was already very reasonable compared to other DJs in the area!). Thanks so much Michael! Highly recommended!!

Michael was seriously the BEST!!! We were so lucky to get referred to such an awesome DJ. From the first time we met Michael we knew we picked the right guy. He was so laid back and really into helping prep for our wedding. We went a little crazy in our list of songs to play during certain parts of the night and the way he played all our songs and in the perfect order was amazing. The dance floor was literally going all night long and everyone keeps saying how it was packed for literally 6 hours straight. Michael had the dance party started before dinner even began!

If you want a great DJ who knows just the perfect songs and timing of songs to play you have to pick Michael!! He even goes above and beyong to play certain versions of songs you (and the father of the bride) requested!!

If you want to throw the ultimate dance party, book Michael as your DJ! I've never seen so many people from so many different generations on the dance floor all night long! Michael is a DJ genius - always selecting the right songs for the moment to ensure maximum fun is had by all.

Michael also helped us pick phenomenal music for our ceremony, first dance, cocktail hour and dinner - everything sounded perfect and was so us!

I've heard from countless people how much fun they had on the dance floor and how they loved the music selections. So much so that several of my friends who are planning weddings expressed interest in also using Michael at their weddings! I hope they do so I can dance the night away again!
