I’ve worked as a tech with Marty and DSM Dance Party DJs and it’s been a solid experience. The team is professional, organized, and takes pride in delivering high-quality events. Marty brings the party!
I've seen DJ Marty McFly at a few different events over the past 3 years! I have to say, DSM Dance Party DJ's really do bring the party! On a professional note, McFly was very attentive to the crowd, and made sure the event ran smoothly. On a party note, my legs still hurt from dancing so much. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend. -

The best day
I had a opportunity to help at multiple weddings where DJ Marty McFly / DSM Dance party was providing the entertainment and seeing things from behind the scenes has been incredibly and impressive he’s always early and extremely organized and fully prepared long before guests arrive once the enemy’s start you can feel the energy shift-dance floor fill fast transition are smooth and guests of all ages stay engaged all night.If you want a DJ who truly understands weddings and know how to create an unforgettable experience your in great hands. -

Wedding party
Was nervous about getting a DJ for a my wedding but after talking to Martin he made it easy for me to communicate what type of music we wanted to dance too showed up on time and was extremely helpful with setting up microphones for the ceremony he was also very nice over all 10/10! -

I recently attended a special event and was absolutely amazed with the experience! Was recently at an event where DJ Marty Mcfly was the DJ and was blown away by how well he did! From MC skills to mixing music to just reading the overall vibe of the people attending the event, he played exactly what you wanted to hear! Amazing Party!
We decided late into the wedding planning to hire a DJ, the one recommended to us was already booked however that DJ recommended DJ Marty to us. He was very professional to work with and really catered to what we wanted. Their use of websites and technology to plan the event and music was so easy to use. The day of the wedding went so perfectly, everyone had such a great time and the MC really read the crowd and got everyone involved. Even the grandparents of the bride were out dancing. Exceeded my expectations! -

"best dj ever" - my mom & everyone else
DJ Marty McFly was one of the best vendors we worked with for our wedding. He was a great DJ -- played music we loved, kept the party going, and managed guest requests well. On top of being a great DJ, he was the most organized vendor we worked with for our whole wedding. He acted as MC and kept the reception on time. He contacted and collaborated with our band, photographer, videographer, and venue. He even checked in with our moms to make sure they were having a good time! Best wedding DJ! You need dj marty mcfly!
My fiance used to be a DJ and is all about music so when we began looking for a DJ for our wedding, I knew that this was going to be an extremely important part of our day. When reaching out to vendors, Marty contacted me immediately. He was extremely professional throughout our entire process. As the day approached, we met a couple of times to discuss details and then any last minute changes I had, I sent him a quick text and it was taken care of! The schedule he provided helped me create my own schedule for the day. The ceremony music was perfect, he had all the mics ready to go, and keeping our guests updated with info. The dance floor was full ALL night. There was not one song no one was dancing to. I would say we picked many songs that you traditionally would maybe not see at a wedding and Marty absolutely nailed exactly what vibes we were looking for. Marty even drove to Promise City, IA for our day. We cannot recommend him enough! You need him for your wedding! -

Fantastic DJ!
DJ Marty and his team were an absolute joy to work with. I received a recommendation for the company from another DJ who was not available on our wedding date. Marty was such a great find and we could not be happier with our experience! While DJ Marty was not able to actually attend our wedding, he coordinated all of the details for our day. I received a response to every e-mail within hours. We had multiple meetings to determine the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Marty and his team were so flexible with the multiple changes we made to our wedding, including the date. They created a schedule for the entire event, complete with music choices and timing for each segment. Antonio was the DJ for our actual wedding and he was phenomenal. He was incredibly kind and so respectful of our guests and venue. We left a great deal of the music as the DJ’s choice and he perfectly captured the mood that we were hoping for. His transitions between events throughout the evening were perfect and he was a great emcee – cheerful, pleasant, and excited. The owner of our venue made a point to let us know how great of an experience that she had working with Antonio. After breaking down his equipment, Antonio offered to help the venue clean up after the wedding. DSM Dance Party DJs could not have been a more perfect choice. I plan to recommend them to everyone I know! -

Great customer service
I worked with Marty and he was fabulous! We booked him over a year before our wedding and provided a timeline that we could use as a template. He then made sure we had a finalize meeting 30 days before our wedding and then was available by phone for our last minute changes. He was friendly and professional at all times. Such a great experience!
DJ Marty McFly did such a great job of making sure our wedding went smoothly in all aspects. He did all the music for our wedding (ceremony, dinner and reception).
The thing that stood out to me most though was we had a hiccup with a projector we brought and rather than just do nothing he called his co-worker and had them bring a way better projector to help with my sister's speech. He went above and beyond what he had to!
Also the music at the reception was perfect. He listened to our requests as well as guests and made sure there was a great variety throughout the night. I can't say enough great things about DJ Marty McFly and would recommend him not only for his DJ abilities but for his customer service as well. You won't go wrong with DJ Marty McFly!DJ Marty McFly's reply:

A great DJ!
DJ Marty McFly is one of the best DJs! I was at an event he was DJ’ing at and there was never a dull moment. He really knows how to keep the crowd going. I would definitely keep him in mind for future events. -

Loved Marty
Our dance floor was packed from the first song, to the last song on our wedding night. Marty is a sweet guy, and traveled two hours to our wedding, mashed up a couple songs for our first dance, and kept our night on track according to planned timeline. Feels good to know we made the right choice for our wedding day! -

Our experience: Before booking the event, Marty set up an in person meeting with my fiance and I to make sure he understood everything we were looking for in our DJ. After the initial meeting, every call I made and email I sent was responded to within hours. On our wedding day, Marty delivered on everything we discussed and more. Guests arrived at our reception venue an hour and a half before the wedding party, and Marty provided MC & DJ services to them throughout the Happy Hour, keeping the mood light and fun while they awaited our arrival. Upon our arrival, he navigated our night through the wedding party entrance, table releases for the buffet line, speech introductions and the first dance transitions. The night continued, and he played every song from the list we provided him, played all the songs requested from guests at the venue and didn't play a single song from our do-not-play list. Beyond the songs we requested, his personal playlist couldn't have been better. After knocking it out of the park all night, he reached the end of his final hour, but the party was still rocking and the dance floor was full. My best man approached Marty and asked him if he would be willing to stay an extra hour at his predetermined rate. Marty happily obliged and hyped our dance floor up even more than it already was. Everyone was having a great time and almost no one left during that extra hour, so with the party still going strong, my best man again asked Marty if he would be willing to extend his services another hour. Marty again happily agreed and kept our reception alive much later than he originally agreed to. I couldn't have imagined a better wedding day, and Marty was a huge factor in that. My wife and I have received many compliments on how well the DJ did and asked how we found him. So thank you, Marty, for going above and beyond and making our night one we will never forget! You are a stand-up professional and I will be recommending you and your services to everyone I know! -

Wedding of my dreams!
Martin DJ’d my wedding and was punctual and professional the whole day. It was so nice not to have to worry at all about what was happening in the DJ booth! All the songs on my must play list were played. He kept the party going and made the reception a total blast. Definitely would use again! -

Do not use
It’s unfortunate that I have to leave a review like this, but I do NOT recommend DSM Dance Party. Specifically Marty. I initially booked Marty because of the raving reviews and wonderful social media presence, but my experience was anything but good.
Marty was contracted to be at my wedding by 2 pm Sat., 12/2/23. At 3:20 pm, 40 MINUTES before my ceremony was scheduled to start, we realized he was not there. We called him and he stated he had a “flat tire” but had a “team” on their way. He also said he had called my venue and explained the situation to them, which was a complete lie. After we talked to him and realized we wouldn’t have his services during the ceremony, the venue was able to contact him to get the songs for the ceremony and they had a mic and speakers we were able to use. The “team” arrived at 3:55 pm, or 5 MINUTES before my ceremony. They had to wait until the ceremony was over before they could start setting up and ended up setting up during cocktail hour. Marty was supposed to play a list of songs I had provided for cocktail hour, but he was the only one with the list. Instead of enjoying cocktail hour and talking to guests, we had to consider what to do if Marty didn’t show up at all because his “team” had no idea why he still had not arrived. Marty still wasn’t there by 5:30 pm and the food was ready to be served, so we asked the “team” to handle the grand entrance so we could then start dismissing tables for dinner. It was at that point we discovered the “team” he sent DID NOT INCLUDE A DJ and they were only there to setup/tear down. We again started to panic because they refused to announce the bridal party so we started searching for someone in the crowd to announce. Thankfully a “team” member agreed to announce. It wasn’t perfect but we had 250+ people waiting to eat. Marty finally arrived around 6:45 pm (over 4 hours late!) and then there was an issue with the speakers so we had another delay before we could start speeches and first dances.
Despite all of this, I still held out hope that Marty would “make it right” as he kept repeating. He informed the venue he intended to issue a
full refund. When he didn’t contact us Monday morning, my mom called, texted and emailed. He finally responded and called my mom and was completely unprofessional, unaware and oblivious to any stress he caused us, and said he provided services pursuant to industry standards because he’s “the best DJ in the state.” Instead of trying to make things right, he told my mom “sometimes things don’t go as planned” but he could see that everyone had a great time, so he was confident he delivered his agreed upon services.
I’m disappointed and honestly disgusted in the way that my family and I were treated on MY WEDDING DAY. I work in customer service and understand that some things are just out of our control, but this was ridiculous. Marty had an opportunity to change this around and rectify what happened, but he simply chose not to. The only reason my wedding day wasn’t a complete disaster was because of my venue and photographer, (both who are able to back up everything I’m saying). Please, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. -
